Great Italian food, and so fresh. The philosophy is : we made it fresh and good, so please wait till your order comes. And that works. The restaurant is always full. You had better to book your table. Pizzas and pasta are both excellent. You cannot be wrong going there.

Came to this plce as my wife likes their "nona" style pizza.. This one is a little thicker and rectangular. i think this crust could improve. Have tried their regular round pizza and even though it is good, it is not as good as their competitor I wrote from yesterday's visit! Our pizza missed flavor and I think it was because of the dough.... Ingredients were good. Tomatoe and cheese were both good. Will come again and re-try the round trditional pizza... As per service, it is average to a notch above average... Nothing special. The place is clean and it is a little dark as well. The brick wood oven is awesome... Their bar area is also quite good to watch games! Enjoy

I love this place! It's pricey, yes but super worth it.. You get what you pay for! The pizza is delicious and the rice balls are like, one of the best things I've ever eaten. You should give them a try! Lunch specials are great. 5 stars for sure.

Hello Florida. You all are lucky. I travel all over and you have one of the best Wood Fired pizzerias in the U.S. They do a fantastic job of capturing Italian pizza! Fresh ingredients and a perfect dough all charred to perfection. I also tried the Rice-ball which was amazing along with a sampling of their bolognese sauce which I should have licked the bowl to finish. I started with a recommended Sicilian salad another must try as it has garbanzo's Clamato olives fantastic grilled peppers walnuts and a very nice house vinaigrette. As if it couldn't get any better, I twisted my own arm and tried a small piece of Tiramisu and Gelato cake. Yes I said Gelato cake simply amazing, even if you full do yourself a favor and order the Gelato cake Wow!! When you go there, say hello to Eduardo, I met him when he suggested their Sicilian salad, I also seen him asking other tables how their meals were, a show of great pride in customer service! I would give gem 6 stars if possible. PS Floria turns out they have a few other location, Lucky, Lucky! See my pics.

This is one of the worst food AND server experiences since I was last in Paris. The food was absolutely tasteless featuring imitation mozzarella in the Pasta Fagioli and miniature cubes of processed ham with 0 flavor. The server was rude, in fact, so rude that I had to call for the manager. That was a waste of my breath. I asked him who the owners of this abortion were and he told me. I full well intend that they will get my opinions with their food and service. The manager returned to let us know that their server "warned" us about the ham in the soup because they have Jewish clients. Ha! Imitation cheese and processed ham (maybe it wasn't even ham and their Jewish clients need not worry). It tasted like the "mystery meat" Subway Sandwich chain's competitor is always warning its customers away from. This is the way the soup should be cooked: Heat the 2 tablespoons of oil in a large pot over medium heat. Once the oil shimmers, add the onion, carrot, celery, pancetta, garlic and bay leaves, stirring to coat. Cook until the fat from the pancetta renders out and the vegetables become translucent, about 7 minutes. Add wine and cook for about 10 minutes, until it has nearly evaporated. Add the broth, beans, lentils, the tomatoes and their juices and the rosemary. Increase the heat to high; cover and bring to a boil, then cook slowly. With a slotted spoon to transfer 1 cup of the bean mixture and a little liquid to a blender. Remove the center knob so steam can escape. Hold a paper towel over the opening. Puree until smooth.Add the dried pasta to the pot, stirring to incorporate; increase the heat to medium-high. Boil until the pasta is tender but still firm to the bite (al dente); the cooking time will depend on the brand and shape of the pasta. The soup will thicken a bit, we hope.Stir the pureed bean mixture into the soup. Season with salt and pepper to taste.Remove from heat and stir in the best Parmigiano/Reggiano you can afford. Drizzle each portion with extra-virgin olive oil, then sprinkle with cheese.I don't know about what these guys are doing, but it's not this. The wings were dripping with grease. The manager said, "Oh, our wings are cooked to order." I suppose he means all of the bars, pubs, restaurants, bistros, delis, and diners are precooking them and then allowing them to set in their grease until some wary customer comes in and orders some. The atmosphere is hard and the place is noisy and the walls are adorned with gangsters doing gangster type things. Yikes!!! Mercy me what a nasty experience this was.

In this, my third (unprecedented) review of the same place, I conclude that the initial review of 5* for dine in is warranted, as is the 3* for take out. It must be like eating sushi at the bar/counter - the magic is in eating it immediately. See prior reviews for more details on each of these experiences. This place flies completely under the foodie radar, but it was packed today, so clearly the word has gotten out. As we say each time we dine here: "I gotta come back more often".

Boring.. Boring.. Boring..Classic Italian restaurant in America. New York style.. Not really Italian. No reason to visit.

I ordered two pizzas: one gluten-free and one regular. They managed to mix up the order and put a gluten-full topping on my gluten-free pizza, which i only noticed when I got home after picking it up I am extremely allergic to gluten so even though I was starving I could not eat my pizza. I called the restaurant in order to ask them for a replacement. The manager was extremely rude and said he would not bring the new pizza to me even though they messed up the order. I was transferred to a young girl who was inexperienced and after taking my order hang up on me. Quote of the day (by the manager): "I do not have a delivery person and even though I have a car I WILL NOT bring you your pizza". After which he proceeded to hang up on me He did offer a credit but that wouldn't satisfy my hunger, would it? After me being very insisting they agreed to deliver the pizza, "we will deliver SOMETIME today" was his answer..........

On every visit here we make a point of having lunch at least a couple of times. The service is good. The ambiance is ok. Sports bar kind. But we keep going there for the pizza. From our last visit, they seemed to have reduced the menu a lot. There were more interesting options before (prosciutto for example). However, they still serve a very good and tasty pizza. They give you a fresh salad every time. We liked that a lot. The tables are small and having four people eating pizza is a bit of a challenge with the stands they use, however is not a biggie for us. Best place in Aventura as far as I know.

Have now been here a few times and it's absolutely amazing. The pizza is top notch, the wings perfectly crispy with just the right amount of onions and the beer cold. I'd go as far as to say that I prefer this place to Anthony's coal fired and I've been a fan of theirs for years. I've actually been in twice last week once again for dinner but hit it up for lunch for the first time and it's a fantastic deal. All kinds of special including pizza, wings, incredible sandwiches made pressed like a Cuban but with their pizza dough as the bread, various pastas and main dishes as well. Everything is priced around $10-$12 and comes with salad and a drink. I highly suggest this place. You'll love it

  • Ari N.

The pizza here is pretty good for Miami pizza. They don't have a great regular cheese pizza in my opinion. They rely too much on their specialty pizzas. That's not to suggest their specialty pizzas are bad, but sometimes you just want a cheese pizza. The Italian food is good. Everything I have tried is good and cooked well. For just pizza I prefer Anthony's, but this place is definitely second.

This place was awesome. Fun, gangster themed menu. Good service. Started with the salad, and it was amazing. We ordered pizzas, and they were both really good. The Nonni's is a thicker, old world stye pizza with a pomadorre sauce, and fresh basil, which I love. The other order was a classic Neapolitan style pizza. Very tasty. The pizza snob in me was very happy! We will be back, for sure, so that we can try some entrees.

Great dinner with good attentive service. Will be back for sure. We ordered pizzas, salads and sharing appetizers: everything was good.

Great Pizza visited for the first time will def be back Possibly the best pizza in Aventura definitely as good or maybe be than Anthony's pizza

  • Elana M.

Excellent! Excellent! I love this place and find myself here about once a week. It is very similar to Anthony's Coal Fired, but with a more expanded menu and less crowd. Don't get me wrong, it still gets very busy, even on a Monday night, all the tables were taken as I was leaving, but I have never had to wait more then a few minutes. They do have a bar, but it is wine and beer only. The pizza is outstanding! I have also enjoyed a few other dishes. Their wings are very good. Very similar to Anthony's. The lasagna is a stand out. It has no meat, and no pasta. It is a very delicious and hardy vegetarian dish. I assume it would be great if you are low carbing. The chicken parmesan is also terrific. Very kid friendly too!

  • Boris O.

Very good pizza. I enjoyed the service. The manager is really focused on making this place stand out in cuisine, service and environment. This place is run by Brooklyn folk.

Great salad for 4, two very good wood fired pizzas-the Queen and the Mona Lisa. Split a tiramiso 4 ways for desert, which was made there and very tasty. Great service, all around the best pizza of our trip to SE Florida.

I'm from NYC and moved here with my wife in November. We looked and looked for really good, worth the fat and calories pizza. We wanted NYC pizza here. This my friends is that place. We only take out which is easy and the pie is hot and the order is never wrong. It's brick oven and just delightful. We take in on Sunday and spend the week running it off but it's worth it. The "Bianco" is perfect but the "Boss" with pepperoni is heaven. Just be sure you like pepperoni. This place is a gem, the people working there are so nice. It's NYC pizza without the tude. Enjoy... Oh and the rice balls are a special treat.

Place is great. The boss is a terrific pie. The soup is great. Rice balls are delish. The help is courteous.

High points: great food. Their tomato sauce is delicious. We went for lunch and got a good complimentary salad. My boyfriend ordered the eggplant lasagna and I the chicken Marsala. (The mushroom broth) was delicious. During the meal they started playing Billy Joel song after song, which is a terrific mood for Italian food, just didn't play his "Italian Restaurant" song. Couldn't ask for better music. Great prices for high quality food. Bathrooms spotless. Low points: music was medium level, had to try a little to hear each other, but it is Miami, and all restaurants will have that vibe. Service was a little slow, but friendly and accommodating. Definitely stop here if you're looking for a friendly restaurant outside of the busy streets of central Miami.

Great pizza especially considering its in a terrible shopping plaza. But the pizza is delicious.

  • F. K.

I have been eating there since it opened. I have never had a bad meal. Service is attentive and the manager is always there making sure things run smoothly. I like the salad and pizza here much more than Anthonys.... Prices are also reasonable.... Only complaint: Wish they were in a bigger location as it gets crowded and has longer waits during season.

Delicious salad and pizza was had by me and my wifey tonight. It was crazy busy, but we found 2 seats at the bar. Eddy and his awesome bar team created a great experience for all the lucky diners at the bar. We each ordered small pizzas and shared a salad. My ""The Boss" was Grrrrrr Ate. Fresh mozzarella roped with homemade marinara and Fresh basil crusted just right in the wood fired over. Joan had a gluten free masterpiece of mozzarella fresh marinara and chicken....yummy!!! We shared the small Sicilian salad chock full of all kind of goodies including roasted red bell pepper, green olives and chick peas and a balsamic dressing that knocked my socks off. I'd give them a 5, but I reserve that for places the don't feel the need to post TV sets in the dining area.

Great pizza!! We ordered 2 pizzas to go and even though the restaurant was busy, the order was ready in about 15 mins. Deliciousness, will definitely be back.

Best pizza in Miami. My husband and I have been coming here regularly since we moved here from LA last May. We always order the large Boss pizza. It's just as good, if not better than Lombardis in NY, our other favorite. I love the thin crust and the sauce and mozzarella ratio is perfect. The arugula salad's also very good. We've tried the steamed mussels appetizer and it's just ok. The mussels are too small and a little tough. The truffle fries are average. Calamari appetizer is hit or miss. Sometimes it's too crispy and hard to eat. Overall, the best pizza. Service depends on the day, it's very inconsistent. We did get there one night at 9:46 and was told the kitchen had already closed and they couldn't serve us. They close at 10:00 pm so I was very confused, especially when I saw the ovens flaming. The four stars is all pizza.

I've eaten at a couple other Sicilian Ovens before but this was my first time here. I stopped in for lunch and got a custom 12" pizza. Sicilian Oven cook their pizza better than anyone else. Not too crunchy and never soggy. I love it!!

  • Lina T.

Great experience! I love the Sicilian salad. It's one of my favorite thing on the menu. The eggplant lasagna is also good. They're known for the pizza but I've had better pizza ,we had the arugula salad. We also had eggplant with mozzarella and it was delicious. They are baby friendly. My sister took her 17month baby (FYI she was a very good baby never cried or screamed sat quietly and ate with the rest of the family) and they provided a high chair and grilled chicken with no sauce or seasoning for the baby. There was plenty of parking and even though the restaurant was full we were seated very quickly. Service was great. We all had a great time with no complaints!

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted at the door and seated right away. This was our first time eating here and so we had zero expectations. For a random rainy Thursday night, the place was packed. We figured the food and service must be spectacular. Boy were we right! Sam was our waiter. He made recommendations, was super friendly, fast and very professional. Other employees came by throughout the night to say hi and ask how we were. We ordered the bruschetta (delicious), rice balls (delish) and the white pizza - bianco. It was probably one of the best white pizzas I've had. We also had the tiramisu and some cappuccinos. Over all, it was a great impromptu dinner and in my opinion blows Anthony's Coal Fired out of the water!!!! We will be back!!!!

If your looking for great Italian fare, crispy wings, awesome salads, great drinks and a very well done atmosphere that matches their pizza--look no further! All of this is offered plus more at extremely reasonable prices. The service is great and consistent. Try the stack of Sicily--It's a masterpiece! Even the soups are amazing--try their pasta fagioli! This restaurant is truly remarkable--if you haven't gone here, it's a must! I'll be there tonight with my appetite!

One time take-out, next time dine-in Both times amazing taste, excellent quality. Im getting watery mouth syndrome just thinking about it. Recommend this place for sure!

  • Diego M.

Great food not so great service! I recommend the Pollo Piazzi Panini - the staff seems out of sync and inattentive, several folks in the restaurant are constantly raising their hand for service. Our waiter had an awful attitude

    (3)
  • Mario M.

Great food but the service was not great, waited over 10 minutes for the waiter to come, than he offered a salad and when it wasn't available he never informed us just never brought it. Also, never even came around for drink refills.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Aventura area. Great customer service, great food. The eggplant parmiggiana is soooo good, very thinly sliced and not drowning in tomato sauce. Their pizzas are light and tasty. Their salads are so yummy! There hasnt been one dish I tasted that I disliked. Go for it!

  • Rob G.

Ate here not too long ago with the wifey and kids. Im not a huge fan of Italian food, but I do enjoy a nice slice and some good red sauce every now and then. We ordered several appetizers, and the Stack of Sicily was by far my favorite. They don't describe it on the menu, so you have to ask if you don't know what it is, and I wont ruin it for you here, but I will say this, don't ask and just order it, you wont be disappointed. It was by far the best thing I ate that night. The pizza is very good and there are plenty of other options on the menu to suit all the standard Italian food fetishes. Prices are fair for the location, service is good, plenty of parking and not too crowded. Give it a try and you wont be disappointed.

  • Michelle A.

Yummy! We agree that the Rice Balls are great. Our second course was the Sicilian Salad which was fabulous. Though next time I'll ask for light on the dressing. The pizza is was great. We tried "The Popeye" and added meatballs to it. Our sever mention it was a sauce less pizza and if we wanted pizza sauce on it... I wasn't sure. He suggested half the pizza with and the other half without sauce to try it both ways. Great suggestion as I am normally undecided. ( I liked it better sans sauce). All in all, we had a nice dinner. service was prompt and polite. We will be back.

This unique, authentic place has great atmosphere and potential. However, i think that they need to improve their standards and customer service. The first time i went there with my cousin, i got a penne a la vodka (i think) the orange sauce had a unique and sweet flavor to it. The pasta was warm, fresh, and cooked perfectly. However, it took almost 30 minutes for the check to arrive because the waitresses were flirting with customers sitting at the bar. The second time I went there, i got a chicken parmesan. It was good, and healthier than most others, but it could have been better. I sent back the caesar salad i had before that. It was delicious, one of the best i've had, but it had hair in it. Thank god the waiter was considerate and didn't charge me for it. These are just minor issues but they are also basic things that this restaurant needs to resolve to be somewhat professional, on top of all its other good virtues. Although I'm reluctant, I would consider eating there again :) I would not recommend this restaurant unless I have a positive/different experience. P.S. - it was also quite pricey, however the wait was not long.

  • Jeffrey F.

Ok let me start by saying the pizza here is terrible. Okay now that I got that out of the way the rest of the food on the menu is actually pretty good. The place is a wannabe clone of Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza. When I walked in I was reminded of Anthony's. The bar and wine racks, as well as the tables and ambiance all give you the impression you are in Anthony 's. The eggplant lunch special was very good. Their salad, which is also a clone of Anthony's salad, was also very good. The most surprising thing was that the pizza was terrible. The dough was nowhere near it needed to be the sauce and cheese or not right and I left half of it and didn't take it home. They need a new piazzioli. Bottom line is I would get anything here but the pizza.

Really really good. Pizza was fantastic and the salad was amazing. Meatball was also great. I don't think I will be going to Anthony's anymore.

I love pizza. I could eat it every single day. If I were on death row, pizza would be my last meal. I really really really love pizza. Sicilian Oven is hands down the best pizza in South Florida. Sorry Anthony's. The pies have the perfect sauce to cheese ratio, the service is always spot on, and the menu is extensive. My go to is the boss pie. Tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, and fresh basil. One bite of this and you will think you have died and went to heaven. GO HERE. NOW.

Great pizza! Love the wings too. I usually have the plain pizza with the Sicilian salad with blue cheese.. awesome!! Also great is the eggplant parmesan and their sandwiches are amazing!! love the steak or chicken sandwich..also the forget about it sandwich is one of my new favorites!

  • Anne S.

Been here on several occasions- from to-go to in-house. Lovely staff. No doubt, the pizza is better than average, pleasing pepperoni! Salad Sayers- lotta hype, just a big lettuce bowel, tantalizing truffle fries. But for the threesome, 33$. Umm, question- is it worth it?

  • L C.

Pizza is delicious! Tried it out a few weeks ago & have ordered out or ate in 3 times so far. It helps that we live down the street! Love the pizza, The Boss I highly recommend. Also had the eggplant platter once, it was alright. Not amazing but still palatable. The meatballs are eye catching & tasty, but a little dense for my preference. The tomato sauce is very delicious with pastas, meatballs etc. Also had the sausage & broccoli rabe pasta which was very delicious. Overall I highly recommend. It's so hard to find good pizza in South Florida, this place is definitely doing it right! They are pretty busy every night too, even weekdays, so that says something!

Great pizza! Great Service! Try "The Boss" pizza. It is fantastic! Also they make delicious chicken wings!

Loved eating here with my family. We ordered a great salad (can't remember the name), chicken wings, and a margherita pizza. All were delicious. Our pizza had an olive oil base with fresh mozzarella, basil, and tomatoes. The restaurant was clean and the service was great too!

  • Marietta D.

I have to say this is the best pizza I've ever had in south Florida. Florida is not known for their pizza as I see it, but Sicilian Oven has changed my opinion of that. Everything from the salad to the chicken wings to the superb pizza made me change my mind. Our server Sam was very personable and made the evening more enjoyable. The owner Peter walks around and makes sure everything is to your liking. All in all, it's a fantastic place to go. I thoroughly enjoyed my evening here and will definitely be back. Thanks Peter and Sam for making my experience such a pleasant one. See you soon!

A great place! We had: the Sicilian salad - very fresh ingredients; excellent Bolognese sauce on perfectly cooked pasta; and the "pastaless" lasagna - thin layers of eggplant filled with cheese, spinach, mushrooms, red peppers - fantastic! Also pizzas, wines by the glass. Very reasonably priced.

  • Vanessa S.

Great lunch menu and the salads are so fresh and tasty. Why can't my salads ever taste like this???? Pizza's are awesome and most important is the service. The last 2 times I've been there I think it's either the owner or the manager always asking the patrons if everything is to their liking. Keep up the good work. Your customers are noticing your efforts.

Try to find a better pizza... You better forget about it! Speaking of that, their forgetaboutit sandwich is AMAZING, honestly I must try. I love their normal pizzas, salads, and appetizers but that sandwich is so lite and clean. Definitely try the boss it won't disappoint! Super friendly staff I love it

I am from NJ and every time i visit the area. The first thing i want to do after a long plane ride is get lunch or dinner at this delightful place. My favorite is the pasta fagoli soup and the Bruschetta IS FANTASTIC! The best i have ever had! It's sad to say no place in NJ OR NY can compare to this restaurant. I also have the margarita pizza ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS . I wish they can open a place up in the NY/NJ area . I can not wait to come back to this place the workers are friendly and make you feel at home. I feel that's a very important aspect in owning a restaurant. THANK YOU SICILIAN OVEN FOR ALWAYS GIVING YOU'RE 110% I am looking forward to my next visit this fall!!! XOXO steph! jersey girl!

I love this place. It is fairly close and next to a Winn Dixie and I almost didn't even notice it. Spaghetti and meatball is great with nicely seasoned meatballs and tomato sauce. The pizza is good- New York style with thin oven baked crispy crust and chunks of tomatoes and garlic. The Caesar salad has slices of Parmesan cheese instead of grated or shredded cheese and the croutons are warm and slightly chewy rather than hard and crunchy- delicious. I have eaten here about a dozen times in the last six or seven months and our table side service has been outstanding each time.

First, you have to understand that their pizzas are not slathered in canned tomato sauce or any tomato sauce. Read the menu and you will not see the words "tomato sauce" mentioned on any pizza except for two; "The Boss" and pomodoro sauce on "The Marie". So, if you want tomato or pomodoro sauce on your pizza, you have to ask for it. My suggestion is do not and enjoy the pizza the way they make it. OUTSTANDING! Secondly, try their specialties. We consistently order the eggplant caponata, the Tuscan fries, cervellata & broccoli rabe, fire roasted shrimp, and the meatballs. Yeah, we attempt to try other things, but when we see these items we just swoon and end up with one or two of them along with a small pizza. As well, do not discount their wines. The Fuedo Arancia wines are a good choice if you are on a budget, but if you are celebrating, get the good stuff. Finally, if you have space for dessert, they have a fairly small selection but I understand why. I am very partial to cannoli's, but their tartuffo (afagatto style, please!) and tiramisu are fantastic! Oh, and definitely order espresso! It comes with a small biscotti and sometimes is the only dessert I get. It just absolutely ends the meal perfectly. These folks are doing it right and as long as they maintain the quality and service levels (yeah, the turnover of the wait staff is typical for the industry but they definitely hire the right people that give outstanding service!), we will be regulars. See you there! For those wanting to try a "Sicilian Pizza", remember that the pizza is made with a LOT of dough. It is thick and chewy (doughy). You will have to load up on the toppings and order a side of pomodoro or tomato sauce to help it go down. I personally don't like this type of pizza, but the kids usually love it. Also, don't judge this place by the fact that it is in a strip mall. Once you walk in, the ambiance takes over. I would prefer a few less TVs (too distracting), but at least they are not blasting away like in a sports bar!

  • Evangelia K.

Very good pizza, especially the Sicilian pie. The reason I leave only two stars is because the service was really bad. What a nasty waitress we had! The place was nearly empty when we walked in on a Monday evening around 9 PM. We asked for a table for 4, and the waitress right away says "your pizza will take at least 20 minutes" in a nasty tone, as if trying to discourage us from staying. Maybe they were closing? Who knows, but that doesn't excuse her wretchedness. She was nasty the entire time and was quasi polite only as we were leaving. I wouldn't go back personally.

Pizza ok. The homeade soups could be best in the area, I can't get enough of it. Wings are ok, I will delve into the stuff in time and let you know. I was turned off my first visit but came back and glad I did,

This will be a Quick review as there were only two of us last night and we stopped in for a quick bite at the recommendation of a friend of mine. First off Talk about copying a concept and getting away with it. This looks like an Anthony's coal fire Pizza clone only it's called "WOOD FIRED PIZZA" Ok if you can get past the copy cat structure I'll give you an honest assessment of the place only open about 10 days in a very difficult to succeed plaza in Aventura. Menu is much more diverse than Anthony's but basically follows the same concept of keeping it short & simple. Service was I wouldn't call it horrible but it wasn't great either. I asked the General Manager if they were understaffed and he said No they weren't but it still took time for our waiter to show up, no water was brought, and we never did see him for refills on the diet coke or the glass of wine that was consumed. Food: A Steak Sandwich "Panetta" was split. Bread was outstanding crispy and the steak, mushrooms, cheese, peppers (Roasted very unusual) and caramelized onions made this a absolute REPEAT or order for anyone going there. $9.00. $7.00 Salad split was huge copied again from Anthony's right down to the gorgonzola cheese in the little container in the middle. Dressing was lacking and certainly didn't meet Coal Fire standards. 1 Sicilian pizza ordered only one size offered $16.00 This thing was a monster. Could easily feed 4 and with side orders and salads maybe more. 75% of it went home but not for lack of taste. It was as a Square Sicilian pizza should be. Think doughy cheese and fresh tomatoes. I would have preferred more sauce, but it was excellent. I observed some regular pizzas going by and will definitely try a regular one next time in as they looked good. Service aside the Panetta alone was worth a repeat but the pizza was excellent. Will give it 3 stars for now Service being the downer here and will update on my next visit.

Loved the pizza, but the tiramisu is to die for! Staff was friendly, especially Al. It was my first time and he helped answer any questions. It was super busy the night we went but well worth the wait.

This place is located in a "tough to survive" mall, but so far so good. It always seems to be busy, and it deserves to be. As mentioned before, after you walk in you might be tempted to go back out and look to see if the sign says Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza. One main difference, the menu is much more expansive, which is a good thing. Must try items...the Rice Balls...the whole family loves them, my kids love the "Chicken Reggiano" (chic parm pizza) and I'm a big fan of "The Captain" ,pepperoni, sausage and meatball. The service is always great and the kitchen is very fast.

In the Marshall's, Nordstrom Rack, Chuckie Cheese, Winn Dixie shopping Center just North of Aventura Mall, Sicilian Oven was highly recommended to me by a friend and coworker a few weeks ago. I have since visited four times and have received warm welcomes each time. Growing up Surrounded by Italian neighborhoods in the Bronx and Brooklyn, Sicilian Oven reminds me of a very good New York City neighborhood Italian restaurant, but with much better wine and Sports Bar flat screen TVs. Excellent wines and boutique beers are about half price during Happy Hour. The servers are warm, knowledgable and eager to please. The manager, Jim Agostino and his assistant Madison are quick to greet new friends as they enter the restaurant. Standouts on the menu are eggplant lasagna, eggplant parmigiana, giant meatballs with riccota cheese and excellent marinara sauce, a great house salad with candied walnuts, olives, chickpeas and a honey mustard dressing, wood oven pizza, wonderful Tiramasu, Cannoli and very good Espresso. Based on my experience here so far, I am looking forward to trying most of the dishes on the menu in the next few months. Since I now feel like I am becoming part of this restaurant's extended family, I hope to get to know more of the staff on a personal level also. Thank you Jim for giving me a restaurant that feels like it came right out of Little Italy in New York.

The location is new, right next to the Winn-Dixie, stuck between eateries and other businesses in a shopping plaza so that you can barely even see it. Their other menu items looked very tempting, the flavor of the food reminded me of Andiamo in the Little Haiti area across the street from Soyka but with a more diverse menu. I'm glad to have a place that is closer in driving distance than Andiamo in case I have a craving for some pizza! Our server Josh was fantastic! If he is there, would ask for him by name again. We had a large "The Calabrese" pizza for 20.00 and a bottle of Pinot Grigio with some other beverages (can't remember what exactly), total was 44.00 minus tip. We know that restaurants buy wine at wholesale prices and then mark them up tremendously for retail so if you have a problem with that, go to Costco and get your own wine to take home with you! While it is rare for us to drink wine (we're not big drinkers), this bottle we got was A-OK. I enjoyed the pizza even though there was more roasted red pepper than chicken in some places than I would have liked. I give the pizza a 7/10. It tasted like a red pepper pizza, sometimes you get a mouthful of peppers and they didn't put enough chicken in some places, so I will try something else on next visit. Also, unless you plan on rendering a couple of vampires comatose with your breath, we recommend bringing after-dinner mints because they went super heavy on the garlic!

A great find. We ordered a small Sicilian salad and it was delicious. Everything was fresh and the salad dressing was great. We then ordered a large Boss pizza to share and we were pleasantly surprised. It was awesome. The tomato sauce wasn't sweet, it had the right amount of cheese and the crust was crispy. The service was great so we definitely recommend it.

Color me impressed. Like Tomas B. mentioned - very, very much like Anthony's Coal Fired pizza. But, I actually like this place better. More options all around. A large group of coworkers and myself decided to lunch here on a whim. We ordered a high variety of items - - Spaghetti & Meatball: Awesome. I was concerned that I was going to get some plain Jane spaghetti, but the mix of cheese, the high quality meatball meat, and how well the pasta and sauce went together (no cheap watered-down sauce here) was impressive. I'm a self-proclaimed connoisseur of simplicity, and these guys did great with this. - Philly Steak Pizza: Delicious, and a must-have if you're set on ordering pizza. The small pizzas are enough for 1-2 people, depending on how hungry you are. - The salad was ok, just what you'd expect. - The wings were Anthony's Coal Fired style. Onions and everything. Besides the great tasting food, the service was excellent. I'll definitely be returning for my next carb-heavy lunch.

Great pizza! Had the Hitman. Order it only if you like spicy food. Topped with whole jalapeños. Good service. Good atmosphere. I'm from Chicago and I've been searching for good pizza. Its not Chicago style but I will definitely be back.

This place is so horrible. I am a long time yelp user that had to sign up for an account just to let people know what kind of operation this is... After perusing the kids menu I noticed that they did not have Mac N Cheese a Favorite for my 1 yr old daughter. So I inquired with the waiter and he mentioned that mac n cheese w/ meat is a special tonight I asked if he could check with the kitchen to see if they would make a small portion of just mac and cheese for my daughter (as many other restaurants have without a problem). He left and I assume checked with management then said we would have to order the special without meat and the charge would be $18. I couldn't believe it!!! I got up from the table and left... STAY AWAY!!!!

We have been here a few times and then did not come back for awhile. I am glad we did try it again because the chicken wings, that are not fired and the meat balls were delicious. It is in the neighborhood and easy to get to. Service was terrific. Parking was easy.

Stopped in on our way south... Excellent choice! We got a 10" Boss pizza and one of the salads on lunch special and both were delicious! And the perfect amount of food (we didn't want to have leftovers since we were traveling and couldn't store anything) Service was extremely attentive and food was quick, although the place wasn't busy at all. No complaints except that there isn't one of these near my house! Update... we liked this place so much, we went back on our way back to the airport at the end of our trip. Got 2 pizzas to share and both were AMAZING! Again, service was great (although it was not busy again, so I can't comment on the service if the place is crowded). I will be looking for a place like this near me, hopefully I'll find something similar.

So we were SO EXCITED to try this new place for our favorite thing... Sicilian Pizza! We wait outside for 30 minutes. When we're finally seated, the waitress took an extra 10 minutes to realize we're there. We placed our order for the much awaited yummy pizza, and 5 minutes later she comes to the table to announce that they are OUT OF SICILIAN PIZZA... for the NIGHT! It was 7:45pm. WHAT? We had the regular pizza, which was very good too... but not what we had waited so long for. Then, as we were finished up, a grilled artichoke showed up at our neighbor's table. You'd think that the waitress would have told us that such a thing existed since it's not on the menu. Disappointing. Will try again and hopefully the food that the place is named for will be in stock and the service will be better.

Went here the other day. My baby was starving and the manager rushed out an appetizer for her which I appreciated. We got get mozzarella sticks and she inhaled them! They were good. The marinara sauce that came with them was also delicious and I made the busboy wrap it up for me as its too good to waste. Also ordered a caesar salad. The croutons were homemade and still warm from the fryer and they put thick slices of cheese not just powdered junk from a bag. Ordered a regular pizza. Thin and crispy and with homemade sauce even my NYer inlaws OKd it. All in all the best food I had for a while - wish I lived closer.

The place meets all my primary requirements, good food, good value and that rare commodity in South FL which is good service. I am also happy that they offer their pizza's on a whole grain crust. Definitely try the stuffed rice balls served with a side of Bolognese sauce. Promenade shops in Aventura is pretty notorious for short lived tenants so I hope these guys stick around.

Let me start with this, I had no desire to drive to Dade County and my first choice was Latin. So she was persuasive, my protests were put down quicker than a Chinese Union strike. When she suggested wood fired Pizza, once again my calls for traditional NY style went to the wind. We went to an unassuming shopping plaza where the Sicilian Oven is located, When you walk in there is a smiling hostess, nice bar to the right - straight ahead is a open Kitchen with Big Ovens with Bright flames burning real wood (is there fake wood) and you are surrounded by the smells and sounds of food that reminds me of growing up in Brooklyn and eating at my buddy Sal's house. His Grandma only yelled in Italian but she cooked what Ii have come to believe is authentic old world fresh food. Why she came to mind was thing that she was most famous for, every holiday, birthday or Sunday Grandma Nunnziata made Rice Balls, with fresh Marinara, you guessed it they have rice Balls. If that wasn't enough to win me over they serve everything, Family Style. I love this style of dining my dinner companion & I ordered a Pizza, plain it came out perfectly golden brown, non greasy not burnt with just a hint of Smokey flavor to the absolutely fresh sauce. Calamari, Rice Balls, Pizza and get this Broccoli Rabe and Sausage. The Sausage was a rope sausage that the server told me was made with Wine and cheese and parsley. The Calamari was tender, every bit of food was fresh non processed and completely pleasurable. You may notice that i am not a heavy reviewer I may change this after my meal last night we struck up a conversation with the server, great job done and asked how things were. We were told that the place is brand new like weeks old, we were amazed as I have been the recipient of what a new place is like at times, they have two in Broward (YEA) and it clicked like it's been there for years. So we then get told that they got mixed reviews on Yelp, I use Yelp everyday it seems like but rarely review. So I offered to check it out it seems as I need to review when I see anyone can give this place one star. Clearly if you like apples raw not cooked don't try to eat cooked apples and expect them to be different. This is a place for a sophisticated palette with fair prices. Fresh Clean food served with a smile at fair prices, will be back and continue to write reviews for places I like as the point was made, good service deserves good rewards. Hats off to the Oven I thought that they were a big chain but it's a couple of guys with a few places according to another review on Google. Thanks if you know of a great Latin joint in Broward message me.
