Awesome schwarma. So good. The chips are crispy and tasty. The tehina is so good we dipped our chips in there. Great service everybody is very friendly. The steak is slightly fatty and the prices are pretty fatty for a schwarma but worth it

My boyfriend has been coming to Pita Plus for years, and brought me here for the first time this week. Upon entering, the place was pretty busy, but still kept very clean. The staff was extremely friendly and genuinely seemed to be happy to be there. I had the falafel sandwich, and let me tell you, it was AMAZING!! Hands down the best falafel I have had in a long time! I will be returning for more as soon as I can.

Was there again, gotta say is there is a reason this place has a line, all the time. excellent. I have to try their Sunrise location eventually.

Doesn't get any better than this place. They are always consistent in providing the best Israeli food around. Their food is delicious and the service is the best. They have been around for over 20 years and I understand why. Must try everything on the menu!

I tried the schwarma It was pretty damn tasty Why so expensive? /end haiku review If I had to pick kosher, I would choose schwarma. There may be better places out there, but this one is consistently delivers fast service. 3.5 rounded down for $$$ and better options being available in the area.

Typical Israeli-style fast food restaurant. Very good food, casual atmosphere, relatively inexpensive. I would recommend this place if you're looking for something quick, tasty, and kosher in the Aventura area.

I have been visiting Pita Plus for 20 years. Their food is the best. The pitas are always soft and fresh and the food is excellent. The staff is very nice and they treat you like family. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a tasty meal. By Gregg L. Friedman MD

As far as Israeli Grill goes, it's about as good as it gets. Everything is freshly prepared, before your very eyes, reasonably priced, and good portion sizes. Falafel is good, baby chicken (Pargiot) is tender and juicy with good seasoning, and pretty much anything on the grill works well there (though I've never ordered a steak - never do in an Israeli grill restaurant). Pita and lafa are freshly baked, and any item can either be had in a Pita/lafa, or on a plate. Probably the only place we always hit more than once in a week-long visit to the Miami area. For a first visitor -- it may be tough to find. Back left corner of the Loehmann's shopping center....back entrance diagonally opposite the Publix in the same parking lot.

Love this place! When I am visiting Miami, I always stop in for my pita fix. The place is always packed during lunch, and with good reason. Service is very quick and personal. Everything here is fresh and delicious. I have to say, for a pita place, they have some of the best french fries I have ever had. Fresh cut fries that are awesome. Get the chicken pita with salad, tahini, hummus all crammed inside, and whatever else you want in it. You will not be disappointed!

Pita Plus is on the short list of restaurants I go to when I'm craving a falafel sandwich. They do these things right there, and pretty close to an authentic experience as to what you'll find in Tel Aviv. Grab a bunch of pickled cucumber, carrots, and cabbage, order a falafel with your selection of fixings, and chow down. Yes, the place is a bit dingy, and it's counter-only service, but that just makes it feel more like home!

During a recent trip to Barnes and Noble the bf and I decided to check out this place since I wanted to try something different. We both ordered the shawarma pita and shared an order of falafel bites. I must say thank goodness for the falafel bites because the shawarma pita was in my opinion, unappetizing. The meat barely had any flavor and had an odd after taste. (It should be noted that I am no expert in kosher Mediterranean/Israeli cuisine, so maybe it was my own ignorance.) Aside from the pita, the falafel bites were AWESOME. I could have eaten a whole bowl full of those things. Not sure if we'll be back here for a full meal. I'll probably only stop in after a B&N run and to satisfy my craving for those deep fried falafel beauties.

I did not like it. I was excited to try another middle eastern place with hummus. The food was such a ripoff. The chicken tasted kinda wierd and the hummus was not fresh. I was disappointed and will not go back. Kabob King is the best middle eastern food so far in the sunny isles/ aventura area.

Disclaimer- I don't know Israeli food that well. I know Mediterranean food, and I know Arab cuisine, so I have some familiarity with the background, if not the culinary style itself. So if you are a die hard Israeli food fanatic, feel free to take my review with a grain of salt. What is wrong with you people? This place is great! Went here for lunch, tried both the schwarma pita and the falafel pita. Both were served on ... well, in a pita that served exactly as expected. A little doughy, so the sandwich stands up to the moisture of the contents, and doesn't break when flexing. I will restate that- the pita doesn't break when you use it as a pita. Not sure what happened to cause the structural integrity issues some reviewers are having, but when I treated my sandwich as a sandwich, it stood up perfectly fine. Not knowing what else to do we ordered both sandwiches with everything- what I remember was some sauce that reminded me of Greek tzatziki as well as some eggplant salad. There may have been more, but that is what I remember. The condiments highlighted the flavors of the fillings, which was excellent. My only disappointment was the schwarma was VERY dry. Flavor was top notch, but the meat was just over cooked. Probably a product of the massive pillar of schwarma not getting the attention it deserves- a lot of people were ordering other things, specifically the falafel. Oh the falafel! Falafel, for those that don't know, is a combination of chickpeas, herbs and spices. It is also one of the few things vegetarian cooking gets right. And Pita Plus gets it double right. Moist, flavorful, and hearty, their falafel are not to be missed.

I still haven't decided how I feel about this place, so I decided to go with a safe "3 stars". Pros: smells delicious, great falafel Cons: Not a huge fan of the shwarma- personally, I think it is a little dry. It is overall good, I have certainly had better Israeli food. As a disclaimer, I might be too hard on them because I have traveled to Israel multiple times and have had some awesome shwarma.

I love this place I have been going for 15 years now at least !! This is the best pita place in South Florida. I usually get the chicken pita comes with your choice of hummus, tahini, cabbage salad, lettuce, and eggplant. They have a little salad bar where you can get a mixture of pickles, peppers, and carrots unlimited. Yesterday I got the chicken platter for $13.99 I shared it. Sharing the platter we still could hardly finish it. There appeared to be a pound of chicken, hummus, tahini, eggplant. We also ordered french fries, that are cut there fresh and made to order. The fries are amazing. they also have very good fallafel that they make to order. I love this place. They are kosher also so they are not open Friday night, or Saturday just a heads up.

If you want homestyle Israeli comfort food this is your spot. Their falafel is just right! Its never dry and really tasty. Their sauces are just amazing and tastes just like it does back in the homeland. Portions are always beyond what I could ever finish. So for about $10 you are getting a great lunch with left overs! Totally a must never miss spot for lunch!

Jesus...I nearly ate my fingers after polishing off a falafel pita from this place just now. It was SOOOO good. I'll have to go back to try the shawarma and the grape leaves....I was in a hurry, craving falafel and a couple of people at work have raved about this place in the past and as I was driving by Loehmann's plaza decided what the heck, its payday. I needen't have worried...a packed falafel pita rounded up to $6. Parking is horrible. Its located in the Loehmann's Plaza so if you park at the Publix car park (where Chef Allen's is) there is a back door to the place where you can nip in and out quickly.

Two words, AWESOME HUMMUS... do I need to finish this review???? This place is super laid back and super israeli at the same time (is that possible?) All the food is prepared infront of you. Some of the things I recommend trying include: Shwarma platter Falaffael platter Shwarma pita sandwich Chicken platter And anything with Shwarma See the pattern? The pickle, accessory bar is also a really nice touch. This place is not that clean and the help tends to be moody - but just deal with it. BONUS TIME: It is fairly inexpensive and you should be sharring

Shawarma baby... I thought about leaving the review at that....I really thought about it..... fantastic eating... wheat pita option along with a ton of choices/toppers to add to your Shawarma pita sandwich or whatever other less popular meat option you choose. nothing special about the location.. but the food speaks for itself. go eat..

Best Israeli food I have tried in Aventura. Whenever I miss Israel too much, I go to Pita Plus. For vegetarians, you cannot beat their delicious falafel, hummus, and salads!

  • Carlos L.

ok so this hole-in-the-wall is hidden behind some average Aventura strip mall on US1, dont miss the small door you really have to look for it. Food is cheap. quick service, no frills. I had the schawarma (served on pita, not used to it but either way you have it served it will be a mess! its the norm), grape leaves and falafel balls, everything was finger licking good. I will definitely go back when i am in the area and try something else

This is the place for falafel and shwarma in South Florida. Located in Loehman's Plaza, Pita Plus has been serving great kosher/mediterranean food for a long time. If you are a religious Muslim this place is halal so you can eat here too. *There is no ambiance and it is more of a lunch place than a dinner spot. It closes early, on most nights. They are observant so they are never open Friday after 3pm or Saturday day (shabbat). They might be open Saturday night after sun down but I am not sure.* Usually I order the falafel plate with hummus. Today I had the chicken kebabs. The chicken was moist and tasty. You have your choice of salads to accompany whatever you order. The shwarma is great, and the french fries are hand cut, and delicious. Definitely check it out if you like good Israeli/Mediterranean food. Enjoy!

I have been eating at Pita Plus for about 14 years now. The food is consistently fresh and Delicious. The service is fast and always friendly. I read several of the bad reviews and really don't understand - maybe they are just trying to sabotage. I have truly NEVER had a bad experience here.

    (5)
  • Dominique H.

I found the food to be on the more expensive side. $9 for a small pita with no side. Food is okay. I've never ha authentic Jewish food so maybe it's just my taste.

One of my favorite restaurants in Aventura for the past +10 years. It's a low key, casual joint with easy parking. I typically get the Shwarma or Chicken Pita Sandwhich. Great for a quick lunch, or a simple dinner. The only downside is they don't roll on shabbas!

  • Vivian C.

The best & most authentic Falafel. Ever! Love this place!

  • Chad J.

The shawarma here is crazy good! The lamb is roasted and shaved right before your eyes and stuffed into a yummy pita pocket that is topped with various goodies I suggest you do not pass on. This place can get quite busy for lunch, and for good reason. Although you may feel a little rushed and overwhelmed your first visit (being sandwiched in a line of regulars and just plain hungry people), once you get familiar with the menu and the efficiency of the service, this could easily become your go-to lunch spot. Skip the other chain restaurants that are opening in the plaza and give Pita Plus a try, your stomach will thank you :)

It's been years since I've been to Pita Plus and after today's visit I've decided that I need to go there more often. The food is just simply amazing. I'm not sure where to start...maybe I'll start with the awesome fries. They're twice fried...in my opinion twice fried french fries are the best fries in the WORLD. Nice and mushy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The hummus was a work of art. A generous serving of freshly made hummus. They then make a little bowl in the middle of the hummus and then they add tahina in the hummus bowl. It's then drizzled with extra virgin olive oil, paprika is sprinkled generously all over it. To bring it to a next level they then sprinkle chopped parsley and chopped onions over this divine creation. Just thinking of it right now makes my mouth water. The pita is freshly made...crispy on the outside and delectably tender on the inside. The falafel balls are also not to miss...crunchy and bursting with flavor. Pita Plus is an excellent Glatt Kosher restaurant. People typically associate Glatt Kosher with Flavorless this is not the case with Pita Plus.

i got desperate and tried this place again.. yep still sucks and possibly even worse then it was before. They were out of chicken, so they had Turkey shawarma..dry, tastless, and disgusting.

  • Andrea W.

How do you SHWARMA? Mine is simple: hummus, tahini, salad, green spicy sauce + ketchup on the side and Coke. Usually I'm not down with Kosher Restaurants, but this hummus-infested quick bite will NOT let you down. Go get a shwarma. It's the best I have had in a long time. They also have delicious falafel and chicken... You can't go wrong with Pita Plus. Friendly staff... you might not understand when they speak to you, but they'll give you a Mediterranean smile :)

This is my TO GO spot whenever hungry and driving around Aventura. I love the food, but I never actually sit and eat in their restaurant. The only thing negative about this establishment is the look of their restaurant. It's old and not well kept. They need to refresh the image of the restaurant. I think the business would flourish a whole lot more. Aside from this, I think their food is GREAT! They have the best pitas Ive had in Miami. Pita Plus is an authentic fast food Israeli version for pita sandwiches. I love the idea of getting in line and telling them to slap on a million different salads/condiments to my pita. I always get the grilled chicken pita with hummus, tomatos, onions, parsley, tahini, and everything else I'm craving. The chicken is perfectly done on the grill and all of their sauces are delish! The HUMMUS is spectacular at Pita Plus. Yummy Pita sandwiches that feelsuper healthy and you get them super fast. Everything is fresh and done right in front of your face. You're in and out of this place in about 10 minutes. I wish they would deliver. A bite into their pita pockets of yummy goodness and your in KOSHER HEAVEN!

Great pita shop offering all the Isreali classics and especially good condiments to go with them. I especially like their hummus, tahini and tomatoe chutney. The location has nice outdoor seating, which I prefer as to their small and less-appealing dining room. I like that everyone in this place speaks Hebrew, it feels like I am at the right place for a good falafel. FYI - they are closed Friday and Saturday nights for the Sabbath.

I used to frequent this place a lot, however my fiancée has gotten sick of it and we haven't been back for a couple of months. First off i want to say that the food is very good, i usually get their shwarma pita with everything and fries. The pita itself is huge and will definitely fill you up, and the fries are crisp and addictive. My fiancee always got the filaffle platter with 2 sides. The staff is friendly and efficient when they serve. the restaurant itself is not very big, seats maybe 40 ppl, and the decor is not good either, but noone cares. Its cheap, good eats, enough said. Oh and everything is kosher i believe, i dont really care about that since Im asian, but its still good

    (3)
  • Michael C.

Solid Israeli-style falafel place. A tad expensive but not relative to the portion size. I usually order the falafel pita which is nicely seasoned, moist inside with a crispy exterior, and everything that a good falafel should be. I have ordered most of the toppings and all have been good, with the hommus and hot sauce standing out in particular. Tried the shawarma for the first time today as well and it was juicy and flavorful. The service, is, well, very Israeli but in a good way and they know what their doing. There is absolutely NO atmosphere to speak of, but the place has always seemed clean when I have gone.

    (4)
  • Melissa V.

I've been here a few times, but only frequent if I'm in the area for some food that is close to my dad's culture. Prices can be high when you're a bit picky but you could get a lot for one person on a plate if you order chicken/beef/lamb shish kebab.. If you don't like to eat a lot, you're better off sharing it with a friend. I had to split one with my sister and they gave us two pita pockets to fill our beef shish kebabs with sides we wanted: eggplant, mixed of cubes cucumber and tomatoes, & hummus. The meat tasted good, and I liked the eggplant side.. However, the hummus tasted too bitter for me. It'd be nice if they had a combo menu, unless I'm wrong because I didn't see any. I'll have to try a falafel pita next time.

I wanted to bring a treat to my husband in the hospital. We love Israeli foods, but the falafel sandwiches were so bad that we threw them away after a couple of bites. That was a first for us. They were so overly spiced. I couldn't figure out what the taste was. It was extremely salty and bitter, at the same time. I was thinking that the flavor was something like mace. The consistency was also not good. Having eaten this food in Israel as well as the States, I was in shock. We through fourteen bucks away. It was around 11 am in the morning, and there was only one person in the place. Very disappointed. Inedible food.

Atmosphere: casual, think fast food casual. benches indoors, napkin dispensers, plastic forks, trays, basket, ample outdoor seating. Free WiFi but hardly any outlets to hook up. Bill: Apps $4-7; sandwiches $6-10; Entrees $8-16 Cuisine: Meditteranean but Kosher so I guess this place has a Judaic slant to it. When I lived in Miami, FL circa 2003-05 this was a sure fire place to get some good falafel. Since moving away every time I come back to this area of Florida I make a serious effort to swing by just for the falafel sandwich. When I was gluten-ous I had the pita plus all the fixings - cuke/tomato/parsley salad, tahini, whooomusss, orgasmic eggplant something, "israeli salsa", and four freshly fried bright green crunchy falafel balls. They have a homemade pickle bar (start the Quiznos music) comprised of carrots, celery, cabbage, cukes, pepperoncini that you can help yourself to. They have shwarma, chicken, kebabs, and other typically expected items. Drinks are in the fridge, nothing on tap. I see the reviews below and I am not sure if the recipe changed or anything - I think the same guy that stuffs my pita is still there, talking a mile a minute, and it tastes just as good as when I lived down in Florida. For me, it is the combination of the things they put in the pita and how the falafel tastes that warrants my 4 star rating. I've been to higher end Meditteranean places and the falafel just doesn't compare. I am a fan of their balls - there I said it.

I wasn't certain what to expect, but I'm happy I made the detour into Pita Plus for lunch today. I fairly simple restaurant filled with booths and tables, it's fast food middle eastern style. I took a chance on the shawarma pita sandwich and was pleasantly surprised. A soft and warm pita filled with meat, eggplant, veggies, and hummus. Topped with an ample serving of tahini and I was good to go. Service was friendly and fast. Food was great. A fabulous lunch in Aventura. I can't wait to visit Pita Plus again.

  • Miriam B.

This is israeli/Mediterranean kosher cousine. They have the typical pita sandwiches- felafel, shawarma, shnitzel, it's all good. The kibbe and french fries are really good too. It's a good place to stop and go for lunch or dinner if you are in the loehmans in aventura area.

Food here is great. I always order the shwarma sandwich with everything on it. Have never been disapointed and the staff is always friendly

Very good kosher fast-food. Try the falafel, shawarma and other pita treats! Don't expect the highest class setting, but the food is definitely better than most fastfood places.

  • Alexa W.

as a stereotypically cheap jew this place tickles my heb loins from the start... they have unlimited free picked salad with lettuce pickles carrots and other veggies to snack on. the falafel was delicious.. you can't really go wrong with deep fried anything... and the shwarma was literally better than shwarma I've had in the middle east. wear your yarmulke and hide your tattoos if you want to fit in!

    (5)
  • Andres O.

I have been a longtime fan of this place. People are friendly and the speed of their service is awesome. The falafel is stupid good and their hummus is just right. I don't know if the bad reviewers came on a bad day or they dropped their food on the floor before eating it, but let me put it this way... I brought a cute girl here one time and she didn't like it. We don't talk anymore. (That's not really the reason but it serves my purpose)

  • Melissa G.

When my boyfriend told me about this place and the food I was pretty skeptical. I don't really like trying new things. He ordered for me and I was really nervous to eat whatever was on the plate but it was amazing. The staff was a little rude , obviously I had no idea what anything was and they looked at me like I didn't belong in there.

  • Caleb J.

I have never had Israeli food before, so this was a unique experience for me. It was very good! I loved the taste; full of flavor! And the falafel sandwich didn't look very large, but it was dense (with goodies), so by the end I had filled myself quite well. The food here is fresh, with high quality ingredients, and exceedingly friendly and helpful staff. They let me try a bit of shawarma and falafel just because I told them it was my first time. I will definitely return, and try more Israeli deliciousness!

I was looking for somewhat healthy to eat in Aventura while shopping at Off Saks Fifth. I found this place on Yelp. Came in, long line but moved pretty fast. Lots of veggie apps and good selection of pita sandwiches made to order. I got Chicken Shishkabab pita with all the veggie fixins and sauces. Also had side order of Falafel balls. My pita sandwich was overflowing with fresh ingredients. The pita itself got drenched and wasn't able to hold the fillings half way thru. The Falafel balls were also fresh but I can't say they were the healthiest option cause they were deep fried. But they were surely delicious :) This place get's really crowded so be patient while waiting in line. The servers behind the counter may not the friendliest but they get the job done. Food portions are great and prices reasonable.

  • Yeva K.

The best shawarma in Miami area hands down!!! Fresh!!! Great menu selection!!! Great staff!! Large space so you don't feel crowded like other shawarma places. Real authentic shawarma!! (Coming from a New Yorker) And super affordable !!!

  • Rick P.

Decided to try this place for the first time after reading some of the reviews. The service was great, but I went when it was not crowded. I ordered the steak pita and it was pretty good. Nothing spectacular, but it was great for the price and for how quickly it was made. The only negative thing was that when I ordered the appetizer hummus, they told me that it was only "for here" and I had wanted it "to go". Instead I had to order a 1/2 pound of hummus and they do not provide anything to eat it with so it is sitting in a refrigerator until I can go and buy some pita or chips at the store. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place for some good, quick food.

Nice place to get kosher food and grab a pita. This restaurant is much like the one on University, except this location is just a notch below the Broward location, mainly in terms of food and overall service. The menus are the exact same, but I would suggest the other location over this one. Still one of the best spots in NMB for falafel, shawarma, and pita.

  • Henry A.

NPS = 7 An alright place. I wasn't turned off but I was not blown away either. Maybe I should have ordered something different. I found this place through Yelp because I wanted to try something different in the Aventura area. And by different I mean something that I do not try everyday, not something different than what is found in Aventura. I feel like Aventura is loaded with Kosher restaurants so it would not really be something different. Anyway, I walk in and its a simple little place. 3-4 guys working behind the counter tirelessly because its lunch hour. When you start the queue to order, you'll notice trays in the beginning LOADED with what looks to be pickled vegetables. They are free. Serve yourself. I ordered the chicken shawarma. And it was just that. A chicken Shawarma. Nothing fancy. Nothing that "popped". It was chicken. Pita bread. And some fixins'. It tasted good and the price was fair. They'll get you with the drinks though. $1.25 for a 12oz bottle of water. It wasn't even the 20oz bigger Zephyrhills ones. All in all, lunch was about $10 and change.

This place is known to have the best Falafel pitas in town and I must say that they do. The food-really good. The service- it's ok, they need to order more wheat pitas and the older dude making the food could be mean at times. The prices-are some what fair. **Note: This place is good for a 2nd and 3rd date night! You know, someone that you kinda like and someone that's down to try new things. So, I ordered a Falafel pita on wheat, which was really good. I also tried their Israel-imported drinks, which were pretty tasty. Their fries were just ok and needed a lot of salt-some kosher salt would have been nice!!! The hummus was really good too. I would come back more but they seem to be pretty careless when it comes having wheat pitas daily and they don't answer their phone when I call to pre-order. ***Get it together Pita Plus, if you want 4 stars!!

  • Kara T.

Fast, fresh, tasty, distinguished Israeli food. There's no better place to find it than Aventura. Pita Plus gets it done quick with no BS. They're nice and get you in and out. I had a falafel pita with everything. Delicious and not unreasonably priced. I do have to say that "Falafel Benny's" falafel is better, but Pita Plus has the efficient setup and a slightly preferable ingredient spread. As a side note, the fries are the flimsy, soft Israeli kind... Don't expect any crisp.

  • Barby M.

Very good middle eastern food! I go every so often during lunch to get a falafel sandwich or chicken cutlet sandwich. Both are very good! Last time I went, I ordered the fries, but they were soggy and a little disappointing, although they did seem like fresh cut fries. Even with that tiny flaw, I'm a fan! :)

What a great find, thanks to fellow Yelpers! I highly recommend the falafel sandwich -- it's delicious and a great bang for your buck. My only regret is that I was in a hurry and got it to go... and then it smelled so good I couldn't wait and ended up eating it in the car, which made for a messy ride. There is plenty of seating both inside and outside and a big menu with quick service and a friendly staff.

I really like this place, however Im giving them 3 stars because they constantly cross contaminate vegetarian food and non-vegetarian food. Its one thing to use the same oil in the fryer, but using the same tongs for meat and veggies, is inexcusable. I called them out on it and FWIW, I realize I just have to accept that you cant change peoples habits. They can try and enforce this, but it will never happen. Food is very consistent, service is good (minus the above).

I've been meaning to go to pita plus for quite some time after being told they had really good falafels. I stumbled into this establishment one day with 25 mins to spare before I had to go into work. So, I was obviously pressed on time. The guy who took our order seemed a little impatient but, besides him everyone else was helpful and attentive. I ordered a falafel pita and a chicken pita to go. The falafel pita was excellent; good Tahini sauce, decent sized falafels and a good amount of falafels. The chicken pita on the other hand, was bland. I'm not sure what it was but something tasted off. I would definitely stop by here again for a falafel pita if I were short on time and needed a quick bite to eat. They have affordable prices, fast service, and a lot of variety.

I've come here a few times after work with coworkers. I've tried the chicken and the falafel pitas. They were both very good. The hummus here is also delicious. They put in a good amount of falafel in the pitas :) Nothing special about the ambiance and the place is pretty casual. The service here is ok.. Feels a little rushed and didn't seem as if those making the pitas/sandwiches/platters were very patient or helpful with the menu choices. Overall, despite the ok service, I would come back for a quick, tasty, and hearty meal.

I've been here once or twice before, the food is satisfactory at best but closest Mediterranean near the office. The guys behind the counter hardly have a pulse. I saw several people behind the counter, none interested in taking my order and they werent busy. By chance, an old man with white hair and a potbelly approached and made eye contact so I politely asked for a simple falafel sandwhich, to which he replied ok. Not only did he ignore my order, he took the order of a woman who came in 5 minutes after me. He didn't ask what I wanted on it. Nothing. It was as if it never happened. Never said wait a sec, never said it'll be right up, nothing. He didn't ask me to pay so I didn't bother to stay.

My first time here... DELICIOUS. Ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with ALL the fixins. I was VERY pleased when i saw fresh, raw (not precooked) chicken thrown on the grill. Decided to be a little adventurous when i tried all their toppings, and boy were they TASTY, and as promised, very fresh. Service was helpful and friendly. Took a little bit to find - they're in front of publix in the Sax 5th plaza (formerly Loewmans plaza)

I am in love with pita plus, and their falafel, and babaganush. We used to be located in the office building across from the restaurant and would go there often. The food is always fresh and well done. It is a simple and a healthy place to eat. If you like Israeli / Mediterranean kitchen - pita plus should be on your list. Good luck.

This place is a must go!! Very authentic food, the employees barely speak English. Had the falafel pita and it was incredible. Will definitely be coming back here!

Absolutely love this place. The food is amazing. I usually get the chicken shawarma with everything...never been disappointed. Good for a quick bite, just beware it may get a little messy.

This restaurant doesn't deserve any stars but one was the lowest I could give. The got this for their horrendous service and unsalted food.

I come here pretty often since its very close to my work. I use to get the shawarma's a lot here they are great! Also free pickle salad. Then I got tired of shawarmas and started getting the falafels..they are very delicious and cooked to perfection! and my all time new favorite Beef Shishkabab with pita bread. It is packed with big chunks of steaks and I put everything on it (all the sauces)..for $10..can't get better than this! Highly recommended.

As far as Israeli/Middle Eastern food goes this place is very good. They have a wide variety of Middle Eastern food and all of it is yummy. My two favorite things to order here are the tuna which is phenomenal, and the falafel. Coming in a close second is the Schwarma. They have homemade schug, tahini, hummus, babaganoush, and other salads all homemade, all fresh. The service is excellent, and they are fast. The guys working here are all experienced and no nonsense. They all know me on site and no my standard order. Their prices are reasonable and the place is kosher which is a bonus. Although I do not keep kosher, I can appreciate a kosher restaurant and the upkeep and maintenance it takes to maintain that stellar rating. If you are in the mood for middle eastern food and in the Avenue and Torah North Miami Beach area, this is the place to come.

Took the kids here expecting incredible fast middle eastern food. Every salad had no seasoning. They all tasted the same. The turkey shawarma was dry and bland, like bad left over turkey on thanksgiving. The falafel was dry and had no flavor. They need to season their food... With this cuisine, there should be certain expectations for the spices, namely: cumin, paprika, garlic, cilantro, cayenne... They fell short. The only plus was the sweet girl at the register who had the most patience I had ever seen. She was a doll and most eager to assist...

I stopped in here for a late lunch when I was up in Aventura for work. The place was fairly busy, informal, well lit and clean. As for the food, I ordered the falafel platter. What a scrumptious feast! Everything was fresh and tasty, and the pitas were a little on the thick side and hearty. Kosher food tends to be a bit more expensive, but the platter of $14 could have fed two adults. If you are in the area and desirous of some Israeli chow this is a great place to go.

Deeeeelish, used to go here when I was pregnant the portions are huge. The lamb comes right off the grill, lots of toppings!

Stumbled inside this hidden gem while working around Aventura. Pulled out the trusty yelp app and searched for restaurants by rating and found this place. Glad that the app pointed me to this restaurant. I have always wanted to try shwarma since the ending of Avengers, I really had no idea of what it was. Although I have nothing to compare it to, I can say the shwarma that I got was amazing and very filling for its price. I also ordered a side of hummus because I enjoy homemade hummus and I must say that it was the best I have had. They mix tahini, hummus, olive oil, and some jalapeño mixture together -- simply amazing! The staff is also very friendly. Hoping to come back again next time I'm in the area! Highly recommended.

Came to Pita Plus expecting just a cheap and decent dinner and it was neither. The food was bland, I got a chicken pita and even the bread tasted bad. The girl at the checkout had an attitude that really turned me off. I'm tempted to give it one star but it was edible so there's that.

Well I needed to grab something on the go, so I googled this place. Service was ok, u asked for a vegetarian pita to the server, he looked behind a mumbled something to another guy. The first server just took the next customer, so I was standing there like okkkk..lol. Finally someone came up and said I'll make your pita. Anyways, the pita was amazing. Mediterranean food is one of my favs and it definitely hit the spot. Very tasty, oh and if you like onions add it your meal, they were great!

Very delicious, BUT it got three stars! From the time me and my partner walked in to the restaurant we were stared at and watched the whole time because we're not "Jewish" making us feel uncomfortable immediately, we sat down and ate because we paid for the meal and we wanted to enjoy it at a table....... We ate fast and left as we left heads turned. It's very unfortunate but we will never go back again. Bravo pita plus I'm sure we are not the only ones feeling this way!

I know this place for long time I always take baby chicken in pita and I like it very much. The salads are fresh and this place is very busy during lunch time. The service is great, fast and clean. Good job!

The fact that we were charged extra 3$ each because we decided to order wraps (very plain out-of-bag wraps) spoiled the experience. Unfriendly staff and (in my opinion) very average food didn't help. I understand they are in a business of making money, but felt like we were nickel-and-dime'ed and I don't like that. Yeah, food was OK (bland and nothing to write home about) + I don't like people rolling their eyes while I make my order = two stars.

I have been going to this Pita Plus since I was just a kid barely able to look over the counter. The food is always great and made right in front of you. I recommend the sharwarma pita and the falafel on the side. You cannot go wrong with asking for extra hummus. Just remember they are glatt kosher and will not be open after sunset on Friday. Parking is plenty near the publix and cash is king when it comes to paying. Oh, and don't forget to get the spicy pickles, they are free!
