It's just delicious!!! I have never seen an italian menu like this one. Lots of variety in pizza, pasta, seafood, chicken and meat. The focaccia with mascarpone and prosciutto is delicious. Also the lamb ragu with truffle oil is.... I can't describe it, it's too good. They offer homemade pasta and they also have a bar with a good variety of antipasto. This place is not cheap but the quality of the food is definitely worth the money.

This is a hidden jewel. Located in Aventura, behind and across the street from the Publix on 188th St. This may be the best kept secret for pizza in North Miami. The service is awesome, and the food is even better. I ordered a pizza with arugula, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, and prosciutto. When I say amazing. The crust must be dipped in virgin olive oil, because it was so delicious. Eva, the bartender is really cool. She is from Hungary, and recommended a nice Chilean red wine that complimented my pizza pretty well. Great food and warm service. I'll be back to try other dishes. Another patron told me the food, other than pizza was amazing.

So excited to finally give a 5-star review after a while!! LOVED THIS PLACE! At first I was a bit skeptical about trying it out simply because it's a long drive for me, but ended up giving it a shot. SO DELICIOUS! The customer service was amazing! Our waiter was so friendly and took his time to explain everything with details. The carpaccio was to die for! Since we heard the pasta was made freshly there, we ordered a black tortellini filled with lobster....OMG! I'm going back just for THAT! The cheese + wine risotto was incredible too! After we finished eating, our waiter brought us some Limoncello shots "de la casa" (free!!) and it came in the coolest presentation (literally) The bottle was frozen inside a huge ice cube :) Overall, highly recommending this place and planning on going back soon!!!

Just finished dinner here, the food is amazing, I had a pasta dish with lamb red sauce. You have to get the ricotta cake with ice cream, it is to die for. I would recommend this place to friends & family.

Wow I'm not sure where to begin. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the service is top notch but that's about it for the good news. I went for lunch after reading so many positive reviews and I'm at a complete loss to understand how so many liked this place. The food was TERRIBLE!!! I'm an Italian from the Bronx and I don't feel I'm being a snob here but the chicken & pasta was tasteless to the point of The Olive Garden would be a better option. I also tried a Steak with onions and blue cheese crumble as a lunch special. The steak was cooked perfectly but had too many areas of grizzle of my liking. It was served with some form of Wild Rice that was closer to the white rice in a container of Chinese food. Even Rice a Roni would have been better. Just a complete waste of money. thank goodness it was only lunch.

The food and service were both OUTSTANDING. We were certainly not disappointed with our selections, or the recommendations of the staff. Each and every staff member was very polite, pleasant and attentive. Go with their recommendations and you can't go wrong.

La Montanara means woman of the mountain in Italian. The name conjures images of fresh produce and warm meals in a beautiful setting, which is a pretty good depiction of the restaurant. 80% of the menu, including most of the pastas are homemade. The sauces and meals I tried with my friends were creamy and tasteful. Our group ordered tortelloni alla crema di noche as well as the lobster risotto. Each was equally good. However, one of the most palate-satisfying experiences of the day was the dessert. My favorite was the tres leches, but my friends raved about the panna cotte speciale. Happily, several dessert items on the menu include a lot of Nutella. Apart from the quality of the food, we really enjoyed talking to the Gereral Manager Enzo. He has a great sense of humor and made us feel very welcomed. Further adding to the experience was the ambiance. La Montanara is the perfect date spot. Words that come to mind when describing the setting include warm, clean, and classy. Although the restaurant was a little hard to find at first from the outside, once you do properly discover it, you will be sure to return.

Went to dinner here last week witg my family. The pizza and salads were great but the entrees were pretty gross. My husband and brother ordered veal and it was tiny and looked like mush. Looked like a plate from a banquet hall or hungry man meal. Fake powder potatos. They said tasted disgusting too. I had the tuna. Didnt taste fresh. Im very disappointed bc i live in the area and really try to promote local places. Guess i wont be back there again. Upsetting

Very nice surprise hidden in an office building. They have a great selection of pizzas, pastas, meat and seafood with a good selection of wines, especially italian. Prices are OK for the location and kind of food. Pizzas are really good but overpriced ($18 for a pizza?). However, I would definitely come back for more. Great addition to the neighbourhood.

We went there for the first time for Miami Spice. We had done about 7 other restaurants before, this one, several of which were excellent (Pilar, Rolf's Tuna's Restaurant, El Eat). First the good points of La Montanara. Very pretty inside, very nice helpful wait staff. But, the food. It is like the chef didn't really want to participate, so churned out stuff that I would think OK if it was at Olive Garden, but not so much when paying this much (and this price is the "deal" price). I had the salad that is described as a chopped lettuce salad, but was really leftover romaine for a caesar salad, and the tilapia which was like high school cafeteria baked fish with a gloppy sauce poured on it, and the dessert was cannolis that were stuffed with pudding instead of the proper filling. Sorry guys, I wouldn't return even if the prices were like Olive Garden.

Very good food! I ate some spinach and cheese filled pasta with creamy walnut sauce. Delicious. My wife had a very tender and nice lemon piccata chicken. Service was very good and the place is modern but cozy at the same time. I really like it. I don't give it 5 stars because it's a little pricey and the acoustic needs to improve, the place was kind of loud.

Visited for lunch on Thursday and the place was half full. It is very nicely decorated, but the darkness gives it a feeling of a steakhouse, not an Italian restaurant. I enjoy great service but my colleague and I felt like if it was overly done. The Manager, Waiter and Bus boy made it to our table together various times to the point that it became uncomfortable. I had the filet medallions with mushroom sauce and it was delicious, however the side items of broccoli and mash potatoes that it came with was just too bland and boring. Apparently they made their own pasta on site, so I tried a recommendation from the Manager. A thin spaguetti type of pasta with marinara sauce. The pasta tasted very fresh but the sauce needed more flavor. This restaurant can be really good, but they have to incorporate excellent ingredients throughout their menu. For example, they are in need of really fresh Buffalo mozzarella instead of your regular store bought mozzarella. It might be a good idea to add some lunch specials as well. The restaurant just recently opened so maybe they will get their act together within the next couple of months. Our lunch bill came out to over $120 for two who ordered a mozzarella appetizer, a dish, a salad, a side pasta and an expresso. Unfortunately, i'd rather visit Houstons or Bella Luna for now.

Around the corner, literally. Pizza is excellent. Real pizza. Hot oven. Mozzarella. Haven't tried anything else yet, but will be back. Not too expensive either. The waiter wore a Rolex. I was hesitant to tip heavily. He must have enough money already. And I thought waiters were underpaid. Not here apparently.

It was not as good as I thought it was going to be. Very dry and stuck together. The taste was good but the technique by which it was made is not right at all.

I ate there several times as is very close to where I live. As being from Italy and knowing authentic italian food, I can say that the food is overall decent even dough the chicken is too hard and probably frozen, the risotti are too buttery, salthy and soft. The prices are too high ($ 8 for truffle oil addition) for the quality,on the other end the ambiance is very nice. But there is one thing that I cannot bear is seeing the owner (Ilario) misstreating and offending employees that are working hard with little rights. I will take my business elsewere even if it where the best restaurant in the world !

Great service, great food! We shared their thin crust brick oven pizza as an appetizer and it was delicious! Their trout was cooked to perfection and all the pasta is homemade. We had their desert special, a warm cake with nutella and ricotta center topped with crumble and it comes with icecream on the side. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. YUM!

Id be surprised if this last a year, all young wait staff gathered around speaking spanish, Bartender was overly touchy and far too casual,Fawning over us in the most insincere way, maybe beacause no one else were at the bar, they have wines listed by the glass but after choosing one, was told that ones no longer available, same thing on the second try, I wound up with water, After being seated , the chairs seemed too high for the table , i couldn't cross my leg, and the waiter ran into the empty chair beside me 3 times, my dinner companions chair twice hitting her in the head with his elbow and knocking our table with his huge tray for the table next to us. The menu is over fussy and too long, in Italian and then underneath a full sentence explaining what it is, Oh Please! What got me was there's no veal on the menu, i wanted veal Scallopini because the menu just exasperated me i wanted to eat not spend a half hour going thur this menu, NO VEAL, I asked whats this , oh scaloppini made with filet minion...what the what? so i settled on the chicken piccata, Are you kidding me 3 retangled pieces of previously frozen chicken with a tablespoon of mashed potaoe and a piece of broccoli.. sauce was just a lemon butter no capers no garlic,The Olive Garden could do a better job This is faux Italian food at its worst, My companion ordered frutti de mare, Dry and old looking this needed more sauce, We had to ask for water, That wasn't even good until i sprung for a bottle of panna, The prices are high for the slop there serving, Being Italian and having tasted fresh, Great italian food for most of my life this is a cheap imitation with, bad service, No reason to go there when so many other Italian restaurants around there are known for really great dishes. the staff is young and underexperienced, i dident know if i was in a italian or spanish resturant, loud music, young staff, bad service.Horrible food, This place doesn't know what it wants to be.But im guaranteeing it wont be around long.

La Montanara is sister to the namesake restaurant in Caracas, Venezuela and surely that city's most successful eatery. The South Florida version is located in the "UBS building" and centrally located to Aventura, North Miami, North Miami Beach, Sunny Isles, etc. The venue is great with convenient convenient valet parking, a welcoming and pretty decor, friendly staff and an extensive italian menu. The quality of food and service were excellent and priced accordingly. The bar / lounge area is very attractive and, although the restaurant does not yet have a cocktail menu, the bartenders are skilled and will mix most popular drinks.

Decent venezuelan/italian transplant in Aventura. great service, and decent pasta. We ordered a bunch of risottos and everything except the risotto with pear and goat cheese was good. I ordered butternut squash risotto and was happy with it. My mom's goat cheese risotto was a smidge to sour.

This restaurant is one of my Favorites. I've had the osso buco, the frutti de mare, the stracciatella, the foccace, panna cotta, briciolatta(amazing)....and I some other dishes I can't remember right now. Everything has been exceptional. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, there's a nice bar in the front, you can see the pizza oven when you walk in, and there's dim lighting and lush décor. The staff here is on point. Waiters are attentive, and tuned in to your needs without seeming like they are lurking right behind you. The food is authentic, but if you are the kind of person who thinks Italian food is just a big bowl of pasta and a tiramisu, then this restaurant might not be for you. It's the seafood items, the osso bucu, the lamb, and foccace that keep me coming back. And the briciolatta is my absolute favorite dessert. It is a ricotta cake with dark chocolate, not too sweet, served with ice cream. My husband had a paella special once, and he said it was fantastic, he raved about it for the whole weekend!

I had Rigatoni Al Filetto Di Pomodoro, baby spinach salad, and a glass of chianti. It was as good as it gets! Others in my party had Zuppa Di Lenticchie Classic lentil soup with ditalini pasta, and Veal. They LOVED it, they are the ones who brought me. Their deserts are killer, their coffee was also great and they serve it with real cream if you like. I WILL go back.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
