Even though there were three employees working and Toppers offered only three flavors (vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry), our easy order wasn't executed correctly. My friend had almost finished his chocolate cone before I was handed my strawberry sundae, which was topped with rock hard, frozen strawberries and wasn't made with the soft serve flavor I ordered. C'mon, we were the only two customers there! The soft serve was creamy and delicious. The strawberry topping was gross. Service was obviously lacking, which would explain the NOW HIRING sign in the window.

I love toppers, especially on Wednesdays because it's only a dollar for a cone. The ice cream is very soft and creamy.

Topper's is an awesome addition to the Wekiva area. I know there are plenty of other ice cream shops nearby but I miss that unique touch of quality they add to their products. It isn't difficult to see when you place your order. The amount of ice cream, the nuts, the cream, the caramel are all quality items. Plus the selection they have for products reminds me of my youth. My favorite order is a Turtle Sundae. It is vanilla ice cream (you can get chocolate or "zebra" if you want) covered with chocolate and caramel with nuts, with a generous amount of whipped cream then a cherry. I also like the small zebra cone double dipped in chocolate. They have a drive through and the service is rather quick considering even larger more complicated items. Service is always friendly. Prices are very reasonable. A+ in my book. Give them a try.

First time was awesome! We had no idea they were here, but we will definitely be back soon! I tried the brownie boat with sprinkles which was amazing!

First time here at toppers and i got a cookie twist sundae and it was on point. Who doesn't like Oreo infused vanilla custard with cookie dough bits?!

The drive through is awkward to get through, but handy... The soft serve is good and the waffle bowls are fresh... I had to wait while they MADE new ones once... The stuffed Sundays are delish as are the premium Sundays. The only complaint is that the staff isn't always the friendliest. My husband also insists that I add that they ran out of chocolate once. Overall we like it.

Topper's is a small drive thru/walk up ice cream spot, similar to a Twistee Treat. I'd seen them building this tiny place and finally decided to swing by to give them a try. I agree with Kayla S.- the drive thru, and the whole parking lot, is awkward. Their location isn't great either, they are on the Hunt Club side of the plaza, the side of the plaza that is running out of tenants. This might explain why I hardly ever see anyone at Topper's. The woman who took our order was very nice. I got the sugar free vanilla in a sundae which was good. It was a little watery (maybe because it was sugar free?) but had a nice vanilla bean taste. The cookie dough chunks in mine tasted bland and over processed. My son was happy with his strawberry/vanilla swirl with gummy bears sundae. Our small sundaes with one topper and one sauce were $2.79 each. I noticed that as the sundaes got more complex they got pretty pricey (for ice cream). Toppers would do in a pinch but I think I prefer one of the fro yo places, Twistee Treat, DQ or even Rita's to Topper's.

Not too many flavors and the waffle cone was soggy.

For the past few months I noticed a new place being created from the ground up. We drove by today and noticed they were open - decided to give it a try. The drive-thru was kind of awkward, we ended up running over the curb. Ordering is face-to-face and service is quick. My hubbins got strawberry ice cream in a waffle cone. The ice cream is definitely really soft, creamy and different from typical ice cream places. The cone was delicious and didn't taste artificial like other cones. Lots of thumbs up for the waffle. I got a Birthday Twist which had too many sprinkles (crunch, crunch) but it was really good ice cream. The whipped cream was also tasty, almost like homemade. Was it? Not sure. We'll definitely go back to try more. :)

Sadly, ice cream is great but the GM is awful and the some of the staff is rude! Viv is great! Unfortunately, when you let an 18yr old run the place there is bound to be problems. Don't send your kids here to work! The owner doesn't care either!

The selling point for me...they have Sugar Free flavors all the time (usually just chocolate and vanilla). I haven't tried any of their other products.

Let me give you the scoop on Toppers (see what I did there). Came here after seeing an advertisement on Facebook for $1 cone day. Love me some dollar cones, so I had to come check it out. Being new to the area, I searched Yelp for specific info on this place. Couldn't find the info I was needing, which is the following: They have a drive thru and walk up service. They take credit cards. We always enjoyed going to Foster's Freeze for dollar cone Wednesdays, and the signs out front makes it look like that's what they are planning to do. So, we order and learn 2 things. Only the small cones are a dollar. They offer strawberry in addition to chocolate and vanilla. Oooooh. The ice cream was really really good. I like that they offer strawberry. But even with all that, I'm just not sure I'm going to make it a point to come here for dollar cones. I'm not going to get excited about small cones being a buck. I'm willing to pay extra to have them dipped or be in a waffle, but I need something to make me feel like I'm getting a great deal. Small dollar cones, I can get those at Burger King or McDonald's. Make it a real dollar cone day where it is any size for a buck and I will be your biggest supporter. Bottom line though, the soft serve is excellent, they need to be clearer about it only being small cones for a dollar.
