Finally, a Thai restaurant in Apopka. Now I don't have to drive to Winter Park for decent Thai food. I'll be exploring more of your menu, soon! I had the Phat Thai w/chicken, house salad, and summer rolls. Yes, a lot of food! Now, nap time! :-)

Idk why it took me so long to review this. I've been going here for lunch a lot lately too! This may not be the best Thai joint that I've ever been to, but it is the best Thai in Altamonte! This is more of a 3.5, but I'm rounding up! My standards: Salted fish fried rice with beef- Trust me on this! Chicken phat thai- chicken pad thai, Beef pad se ew- good standard and safe for the noobs Pho- not bad! Actually pretty good, considering this is supposed to be a Thai place instead of Viet. The place is small and could get crowded at times. The kitchen is open for you to peak into if you want. Which is cool cause you can see the wok skills and you know they'll keep it clean! The waitstaff is friendly enough... but I wouldn't come here so often if I didn't enjoy it. I've taken a couple of co-workers here and some who never had Thai food and they all like it. So if you are craving for some Thai, and you don't want to drive out of Altamonte, than this is your spot!

The best Thai food around. Chef Tiger is truly talented and knows how to cook authentic Thai food. Even the Thai tea is fresh brewed. If you've never had Thai tea, you should give it a try. The owners Melanie and Tiger will go out of their way to make your dining experience the best. And if something is not right, they will fix it with pleasure. We had the fish cakes tonight and it was excellent! Very fresh and flavors were on point. My daughter got the chicken pad thai and said it was the best she had. My sister and I ordered the chef's special (not on the menu) spicy beef noodle soup which is similar to the Vietnamese Bun Bo Hue. It was so good that I ate every last drop. I can't wait to go back and try other dishes. It's nice going to an establishment where there's great service and they appreciate your business.

Not exaggerating when I say this is the best Thai I've had in Orlando. A little bit out of the way for me since I live downtown but the curry fish is out of this world. A+. Will be back soon.

Very good Thai food that is made fresh and brought to the table fresh off stove. Only drawback it was so freshly cooked i had to wait to enjoy it so it could cool a bit. I had pat see ew, was delicious. I also tried the chicken fried rice, they must use a small grain jasmine rice, which I really enjoyed. The rice had a good crisp and worked well with the stir fry. Additionally, I tried Tom yum, wish I could have had a free more shrimp but four seems to be average for Tom yum. We will most definitely be back.

Yum! I just had take-out from Phat Thai for the second time and it was spot-on - just like it was the first time! Pad Thai was one of the best I've had in Orlando but their Garlic Tofu is my absolute fave! Summer rolls are fantastic too. I don't think they have anything on the menu that isn't delicious. :)

Thai food in Apopka, say what?! It's a great spot for lunch, which I have done a couple of times. Something keeps pulling me back, me back :P But seriously it's really good. The couple of times I've gone here, especially in a group, we were seated immediately and Jessica (our server) is really sweet and great. I have no complaints on the service, since everything has been pretty good. It's a small restaurant, kinda snug, but I didn't mind at all. This restaurant is actually a combination of Thai and Viet, which I have not tried the Viet part of the menu except for their Summer Rolls, which are also pretty good as an appetizer :) As for the entree, their Pad Thai is pretty good!! The right color (orange/yellow), right consistency of the sauce (not too much not too little), and overall just delicious!! I couldn't pick, I had the Tofu before, which was good. Cooked crispy on the outside, but nice and soft in the inside. But if tofu isn't your thing, I promise it's pretty good, but do what I did and just order chicken with it ;) I've also tried the Salted Fish Rice. Man, this thing is crack! I know it sounds weird, but have be open to trying it! It's fried rice with a level up with salted fish pieces. Yes, the smell of it is a little strong and can pull you away, but one bite of it and you'll be hooked! The portions of the food here are pretty big, I always end up having to take out my food. The prices here are pretty good, you get your money's worth for sure. It's a great spot and the food is really good :)

Food is amazing price is excellent!! I usually eat Massa man curry with chicken and my fiancée eats the garlic sauce with tofu and vegetables. The owners are very friendly and always make sure we are satisfied. I recommend!!

Phat Thai has relocated from their old location near the Altamonte Mall to a strip center in Apopka on Hunt Club. The new location feels smaller than the last, at least the seating area. It was also very warm in the dining room- the lady up front said it was often that way due to the heat from the kitchen. It would have made for an uncomfortable dine in experience! Lucky for me I took my food to go. If you've eaten at the old location the food is essentially the same. I've always enjoyed their food. They have a excellent peanut sauce that goes well with their refreshing and cool summer rolls. I also go for the shrimp pad thai and am never disappointed. I usually have enough for two meals which helps justify the slightly high cost. Service is always friendly.

Ok. This is the second time we tried this place. We desperately want to like it because it's close to our house and we love Thai food. Especially pad Thai. Unfortunately this is the second time that we have been disappointed. The first time it was dry. Not enough sauce. So the second time we ordered extra sauce. Still very dry. It's disappointing because I think the hint of flavor we got has potential. I would also add that service was really bad the second time. It took forever for our food and the wait staff seems to be high school level staff. (Maturity wise) To be fair kids got a curry dish that was pretty flavorful. Maybe we just need to order something else. If we decide to give them one more chance which is doubtful.

One of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. The pho is absolutely delicious! The ingredients are fresh and the dishes are made to order.

We stopped in today for the first time. The service was immediate and very friendly. They gave us enough time to comfortably look over the menu, which is very much appreciated. The food was very delicious and the lunch size portions were large- I couldn't finish even half of my food.

Great little place. The hostess was extremely friendly :-) I ordered some food to go and was very pleased. I ordered the pho which was pretty darn good! Also the coconut based side(soup) was fabulous! It's small but very nice, I'll be back to try a sit down dinner and try more menu items :-)

Something has changed at this once very good Tai / Vietnamese place. The food is lost its spice and the restaurant has lost its excitement and hipness. There are better places for Thai in area and I guess back to colonial and mills for Vietnamese. What a shame

Nice family owned restaurant. Decent food for the area... Had the pad Thai, pad see ew, wonton noodle soup, and the mango sticky rice. Pad Thai and pad see ew was good. Wonton noodle soup was eh... Mango sticky rice was tough to eat, not soft or sticky, needs more coconut milk IMO. But it was pretty good. Try it out if you're in the area!

Apopka isn't exactly the town to head to when you want to eat out. Fast food and mediocre chain restaurants make up most of your available options, so when something new arrives, particularly something that isn't pizza or chinese, everyone tends to get a bit excited. You can imagine what that means for Phat Thai Cafe, a small Thai/Vietnamese restaurant in the Hunt Club plaza off SR 436. Good food in general is hard to come by here, and anything outside of American is even more suspect, so Phat Thai definitely gets credit for offering some yummy choices. Their Phad Thai is tasty, albeit a little on the sweet side for my taste. (It is better and not nearly as sweet as the Phad Thai from Thai Blossom in Winter Garden, so points for that at least.) Their summer rolls and peanut sauce are always a refreshing option, and I love that I can grab a sweet glass of Thai Iced Tea, a delicious blend of sweetened condensed milk and tea. They execute one of my favorite Thai dishes fairly well - Chicken Panang - but like a lot of their Thai dishes, they land on the hotter side of spicy. If you don't enjoy heat, you need to be VERY specific, and even then, if it is a curry based dish, expect a lot of heat. They do a solid job with Pho, a Vietnamese Beef Noodle Soup, and their simple rice dishes are great kid friendly options. (Our five year old loves the chicken with rice and cukes.)Their vermicelli bowl with pork is also decently done. We tend to order out, as the place is quite small, and the last several times we ate in, the a/c was either off or working poorly, something that really ruins the dining experience in Florida. Service is also hit and miss. A good percentage of the servers seem entirely unfamiliar with Thai and Vietnamese food, which can make the ordering process a chore, and a few of the younger servers are less than attentive. (The lady in charge, however, is very helpful...she just needs to hire better help.) Overall recommendation: Order the Chicken Panang if you like a lot of heat, the Pho if you are fighting a cold, the vermicelli bowl for something filling but not too heavy, and take it all to go until they get a more consistent group of servers and better a/c.

Some days things just don't go your way - the restaurant you were going to is closed on Wednesdays (?). So you end up somewhere else and that place is Phat Thai and thank goodness because awesomeness ensues. Basil sauce w/ shrimp lunch special is so perfect. The tiny salad is just enough until OH MY GOD ARE THOSE THE SPRING ROLLS?!?! Gimme gimme gimme! Fast, courteous service when the place is almost full. Well done, Phat Thai...see you again this weekend!

The best Thai Food in Orlando. Try the Eggplant with chicken dish. Tiger the owner and Chef is awesome. His wife and kids are terrific. Friendly atmosphere, clean and great service. Their servers are great. Prices are very reasonable and you will take food home. Try their Thai IcedTea - unreal. Dr. Neal Wieder & Dr. Sheila Scott

While checking out Yelp for local input, I discovered Thai food had come to Apopka... finally. I was thrilled! Thank you, fellow Yelpers, for the heads-up. Unfortunately, we weren't as thrilled with the experience (this time). Approaching the front door (Saturday, dinner hour), we saw many patrons inside and out, but were immediately seated. The indoor dining room seats about 30 people (very snugly). This evening, there was a table of 14 or so people and several small tables with two people. Two more groups of 5 - 8 people came in while we were there. You could see the wait staff sagging (but trying) under the pressure to keep up. Kitchen staff, a bigger struggle. From our vantage point, I could see the kitchen. They were cranking! While food was good, it was a bit bland, and dishes were heavy on carbs (rice, noodles, potatoes), with less emphasis on veggie dishes (other than salad). Being regulars of downtown Orlando's Thai restaurants, we expected the option of more broccoli and carrots. Hmmm.. not so much. We each ate half our meals and left the rest behind. Service was slow and inconsistent - seemed to be struggling to keep up with this evening's volume. Growing pains? Listened to an odd conversation at the table beside us about 'blue, pink, and yellow stuff' - a small container of sweeteners. There did not seem to be any when a patron requested it. Seemed odd until I read a similar comment here on yelp. Our bill for two came to $35.00: an appetizer of two veggie spring rolls (bland and lukewarm), a Thai iced tea, two waters, and two entrees consisting of little chicken and LOTS of noodles, rice, and potatoes (that looked and tasted a lot like soaked French fries). Crossing fingers growing pains will give way to consistent service and more flavorful dishes. The staff (and owners) were accommodating and friendly - just struggling to keep up! We'll return on a quieter day/hour and try again.... Excited to have new dining options in Apopka! Let's keep adding to the city's list, please! And.... make them top-notch.

Yum-o!! Been to Thailand. The food in this restuarant was very good. We tried 3 soups. All solid. Tried 3 entrees. Again great. Finished everything with mango and sticky rice. Nice!

Awesome food. Very authentic and won't break the bank. Definitely if you are in the area you should give them a try. We drive 16 miles to come and enjoy the food.

This restaurant was okay. The food was good, but my curry was too spicy. The service was also not that great. The restaurant is small, and the others at my table seemed to be pretty satisfied with what they ordered. But when me and my Dad ordered dishes with Curry, the waitress said it would be spicy as if there was no option to make it less spicy. But when my Dad asked her if we could have it less spicy after the meal because we both thought it was too spicy, she said it could be done, which was really awkward. Otherwise the food tasted good.

Well I used to eat there when they were in altamonte springs. I like their new location. Small but just enough. I tried the chicken pad thai which was good. The crispy wings were excellent. And had the pork spring rolls. Overall good. I would repeat again for sure.

Love this place. Went for my birthday. They don't have alcohol, so we went to the liquor store next door for wine. They set it up and opened and served ... no corking fee. The food ... wow. I spent some time in Thailand and love the variety. This place serves authentic Thai hot, spicy flavorful dishes. I cant wait to go back! The service is excellent too.

The food is delicious! My favorites are the wings, crispy tofu, pad thai, and massa man. I just wish they had the mango and sticky rice was available all year round.

This place is amazing! I just moved here from New Jersey and the taste of the cuisine here is matched only by its wonderful service. I started eating here when they were in Altamonte Springs and I'm so glad to have found their location in Apopka. You'll never be disappointed with a meal here.

Food was fresh and hot. Good selection on the menu. Nice portions, bit pricey. Service was good. We ordered the Singapore and Messa. Messa was a bit too spicy, but the flavor was good. Wish it was not that hot, but the server offered us coconut milk to help cool it down. We will return again. All he staff was very friendly.
