    Unbeatable espresso and pastry.

Cafe con Leche handled our larger group with aplomb, despite not being equipped with a giant dining area, not that we expected that from a little town coffee shop. They have a standard coffee menu, cute decor, and fantastic food. Various South American choices present an interesting set of choices different from the normal brunch items you would expect. The coffee was solid and the Arepa I ordered was just great. After tasting some other menu items from others in the party I would be confident trying about anything they offer.

Nice cafe with great food and drinks. The huevos rancheros and Cuban sandwich were excellent. There were plenty of other delicious things in the menu that I wanted to try. Check this place out, plenty of good food options whether your in the mood for a small pastry or full meal.

An adorable & charming coffee shop! And I haven't had huevos rancheros this delicious since actually eating it in Mexico. Good stuff & great service too.

Great espresso beverages! We got a muffin that was good but was not covered in case or anything. I prefer my pastries fresh. But go there for coffee and one of the cake from the cake case!

The owner has changed the menu. Very small menu and pricey

A go to place for South American Breakfast. It's hard to pass up their breakfast arepa : a griddle-cooked corn cake split & filled with a fried egg, bacon, cheese, and a splash of herb infused salsa verde. There is a reason it comes nestled in a paper sleeve. Handle with care!!! After that arepa, if you have space, do try some of their awfully tempting fresh-baked mocha muffins and cinnamon crumb cake sitting in the pastry case.

Apalachiacola is not a metropolis of great coffee shops, and they possibly only have this one, but it was on par with some of the best I have had. It has the standard living room appearance, BUT it also has a great view of the waterway and the wharf. Yes, they have the long list of coffee drinks, but u had to try their standard whole bean coffee, so I could get a true feel for how serious they were about their java. The coffee was perfect; smooth, rich, and hot. The counter folks were friendly and were very helpful. They also had a large selection of cakes and pastries that were made in house. I gave the pound cake a whirl, and it was off the chain. I've been in town for 4 days, and I've been here twice already, and I'll probably stop in a couple more times before I leave. Stop in, and have a drink.

Selected by the catchy name. So glad we stopped. Arepa is great. Huevos Rancheros were terrific. Chai was delicious. A cafe well worth finding.

This is probably the best coffee in appalachicola and st george island. I do have to note that my first time there, my coffee tasted really off and only a bit later when another customer had complained, did we realize it was bad milk. Otherwise, all my subsequent visits and coffees had been good. I am not going to say that it is the best coffee that I've ever had, but I will say that this is the place to get it whether you live here or are here on vacation. I pretty much drove out to Cafe Con Leche everyday during several visits to St George island and after also trying out all the other coffee places in town. The service was also always very amiable which is why I give this small cafe 4 stars.

If only there was one of these cafes in every town they would put Starbucks and Dunkin donuts out of business. The breakfast, lunches and baked goods are fresh and are made on location. My chai came out first and wowed me: creamy with a nice touch of cinnamon. Next was my ham, egg and cheese croissant with a spread. Last was the tart that I could only take a bite of since I was stuffed. The locals truly are lucky to have a place like this in town. My total bill was $13 and with the free wifi I was able to hang around a bit. There are other eclectic goodies for sale from hats to artwork. I found a piece of art that I couldn't stop staring at, that is until I looked at the price tag. I think I'll skip on buying that special treat!

I've only been there a couple of times with friends. I've never ordered food from them before, but I've ordered some of the coffee drinks. The drinks (eg: Chai Latte) are amazing and the atmosphere is relaxing. Definitely worth it.

After an unpleasant stay at the local Best Western, we opted to skip their promised 'full breakfast' that was sadly barely adequate and to forge out on our own. There is not much in Apalachicola for breakfast, but we lucked out when we found the Cafe Con Leche. What a wonderful little spot overlooking the harbor. It is not fancy but it is interesting, arty, and the food more than adequate. The owner has eclectic tastes and provides plenty to look at while you enjoy the coffee or pastry or have one of their delicious breakfasts. This was one of our favorite spots on a two week road trip. Go. You won't be disappointed.

3.5 stars. I enjoyed my Cafe con Leche, and I suppose my mother enjoyed her coffee. The service was surprisingly slow for a coffee shop, which is why it doesn't get 4 stars.

Excellent baked goods, hipster style, coffee and espresso drinks served in actual ceramic mugs, and a quaint town that runs a bit slower than most. Cafe con Leche is my first stop every morning when I am at St. George Island (a short drive from Apalach). If quick is what you are looking for, this isn't it. If however, you like bayside art, locals and tourists sitting together and chatting, and a delightful owner? This is your place. Don't hurry. Relax. PS. Look for their word of the day and the massive dictionaries they have on the shelf.

Really great place to eat. Their coffee is very good- my knowledgable barista wife gave their real macchiato a stamp of approval. I had an 'arepa', which was a very tasty sandwich of Venezuelan origin- I recommend it. We also sampled some of the pastries and found them worthy of praise. The atmosphere is very pleasant. Tamara (owner?) and Samantha are both friendly and inviting. Cafe con leche only loses a star for tourist-town prices. Given that their main competition downtown has even higher prices, that means that Cafe Con Leche is your best bet for breakfast in Apilachicola.

Wanted black iced coffee but was talked into the French iced coffee...best iced coffee I've ever had. And sold to me by a very nice gentleman! 5 stars :)

Frederick the owner serves extraordinary lattes and also served freshly baked pumpkin scones with the added touch of a sparkler on the scone for my wife's birthday!

Nice little boutique slash coffee shop. I was expecting more of a coffee shop atmosphere with leather chairs, books, and newspapers with a tattered sign that read "Macondo-5000km". Rather Cafe con Leche is more of a store you can buy colorful paintings, handmade jewelry, bright scarves and hats and such, with scattered furniture about so you can sip your coffee or beverage of choice. The service was definitely friendly and I ordered a Con Panna, which the barista did not know how to make. So I explained it to him and it was quite delicious. I also had a slice of their key lime pie. Outstanding! A con panna is simply a little bit of whipcream in a demitasse with a shot of espresso poured over. Simple and delicious and any barista, I suppose, should know their basic espresso drinks.

Saving grace for us trying to find breakfast around noon in this tourist town. Pastries tiny and seemed a bit overpriced but they were good quality and the coffee was good too-had an asparagus ham and cheese omelet that was tasty. Clearly a locals place.

Charming cafe owned by a Venezuelan woman. The cashier was from Vegas and had a good story about how he went from there to here. Nice homemade desserts and collection of jams. A good respite from the heat and humidity of the South.

The breakfast was very good. I really liked the atmosphere. It's a typical hipster coffee shop with traditional Venezuelan influence. Would recommend for an early breakfast.

Large selection of decadent chocolate treats and even the rare hot cup of chocolate. Gelato was fabulous. We originally went in for coffee but they didn't seem to have much of a coffee bar happening. Cute little spot right in downtown Apalachicola with lots to see in the neighboring establishments (antiques, general store, outfitters, wine/liquor store, boat docks, etc).

This place is really great! It's a boutique and coffee/food place. I ordered a panini that was one of the few vegetarian options and it was pretty decent for cafe food. The drink I got, I don't remember, almond baby? Almond something. Anyway, it took forever to get it but it was amazing! milk and almond and sugar frozen drink thing. I want this forever. The only thing that kept me from buying my weight in home made jars of jams, compotes, chutneys and jellies was that I wouldn't be able to get them through airport security in my carry-on. There's a ton of stuff here that looks both tasty and like it would be a good present. The view is nice and they've set up tables and chairs outside to take advantage of it. You're RIGHT on the water. It's kind of hidden from the rest of town, so you're going to have to put effort into seeing it, no drive by here. I don't think I'd bring kids here, the boutique items are just laid out everywhere and sticky dessert hands all over the hand knitted shawl seems like "you break it you buy it" would get expensive fast.

Came for breakfast and espresso early in the morning. Great food, great service. Mostly locals while we were there. We plan on going back this morning.

Recently they have moved over to the river side of town. The location feels a bit smaller and they have added alot of gift type items to purchase. Coffee is always excellant. The Bread Pudding is OUT OF THIS WORLD. Cherry muffins and all other baked goods always impress. Recently had a panini with prociutto, feta and greens~ really really good. Service is always friendly and lots of locals are always here. We make a point to visit several times when we are in town!

Really good breakfast, lunch, coffee and baked goods, all made from scratch. It's a comfortable, friendly place to sit, inside or out. Plus good Wi-Fi. Love the Arepas - like a thin breakfast corn muffin filled with egg, cheese, etc.
