Five of us stopped in and 4 of 5 decided to get pizza without dough. The owner was very nice and helpful. The sauce and meat was great and worth the short drive from the interstate!! Take notice of their hours- they close after lunch and reopen for supper!!

I love this place! They make great pizza, which they load with cheese and toppings. The family that owns it are always friendly and engaging. I have eaten here many times and am never disappointed. They lose a star for not accepting credit/debit cards. Yes they have an ATM in house, but I don't want to have to pay ATM fees just to buy dinner. Mark up the pizzas a few cents for the convenience of your customers.

Ordered a 12' half with pineapples and ham- the other half with onions and mushrooms. It was fast and tasty.

Absolutely amazing pizza! Traveling thru and stopped by starving. Regular crust pepperoni and loaded tater specialty pizza did not disappoint. We only wish they were open Sunday when we travel back thru. Staff/owner were delightful and a joy to visit with. Looking forward to the sweet treats we picked up for later.

I' ve eaten at a lot of pizza establishments and this place is exceptional. The ingredients are fresh and the atmosphere is family oriented as is the business. They have the BEST catalina dressing that is made on-site.

Today I had a delightful afternoon that could've been truly awful. I dropped my car off to get some maintenance before doing the long drive home at an awesome mechanic shop in Alachua called Gator Muffler and Complete Care. As usual, they took great care of my vehicle: timely, friendly, cost effective and most importantly, never do they try to convince me I need more work done because I am a young, fairly car-ignorant female. However, I had several things for them to work on so for the few hours they needed my car for, I walked a short distance to Main Street to get a bite to eat and read. But was then waylaid by the afternoon FL thunderstorms. I chose Main Street Pie Co. Being a fan of small town eateries, I expected the good, inexpensive food and friendly service. What I did not expect was the warm-hearted, above and beyond behavior of the owner, her daughter, and the other waitress. Not only were they nonjudgmental of my desire for three salad dressings (so I could try them), ordering two desserts, and Star Wars reading material, but once they realized that I was semi-trapped at the establishment for hours due to the torrential down pour, they offered to give me a ride multiple times and ultimately let me borrow an umbrella. I was not the only one who was treated this way either, they talked at length with an older gentleman dining alone, and gave an out of town family all the local tips to the springs/tubing/dining/shopping and more. Normally I would simply give them more business, but I'm going home soon. These people deserve your money, go support local Alachua businesses and get a homemade cupcake or calzone. Also, they only take cash but they have a charge-free atm onsite.

After having the pizza from Main Street Pie, I can't really enjoy Pizza Hut or Papa John's anymore! They now pale in comparison. The staff is super friendly and attentive. I highly recommend the thick crust meatball pizza. Amazing!

Wonderful service, delicious pizza, adorable ambiance and adjoining store. The owner couldn't have been friendlier. Loved the pepperoni and Italian sausage pizza. On the cutest town main street!

Very delicious! The owner is extremely personable. I've been there a few times and she's remembered us. She has random gifts made for the children... She gave our baby a bib that says "born to eat at main st. Pie." I love the fact that it's like eating great food at home. The style is sort of a country eclectic, you just come in and pick the dining table of your choice. The food, decaf sweet tea (who woulda thought), and service is great!

Hands down my favorite pie north of Ocala and south of Jacksonville! They use excellent cheese & good pepperoni; despite being the king of pizza in the Gainesville/Alachua/Micanopy area it is not without its flaws. First the sauce is canned, which should not be the kiss of death in and of itself, but without augmentation or the addition of much needed sugar the sauce is too far into the acidic side. The greater sin, however, is the fact that the pies are started in the oven on a wire mesh grate! When I inquired as to the possibility of having the pizza hit the oven directly on the stone they said it could not be done. Although this seems like a minor detail I assure you that the resulting crust is far superior sans grate; and it's the details that separate higher starred establishments from lesser ones. With the addition of a little sweetener to the sauce and either hiring a more experienced pizzaiolo or retraining the current one to not use grates this place would have 5 stars!

(Act One) Friends of Mine: Hey April, we're coming over tonight. Me: Okay. FOM: Should we eat before we come? Me: ... oh ... hey, what about pizza? FOM: Oh, we like pizza! (Act Two) Me, Coworker: (staring at half-cheese, half-sausage pizza) Holy crap. (Act Three) Husband: You didn't buy two? Me: Trust me, no one's gonna need it. (Pizza comes out of oven, beaming like a small star. Everyone's jaw drops. Slow transfer to a fresh plate, set gently in the middle of the table. I turn around to get my camera.) Me: Okay, let me get a pi-- (Pizza has been snatched up. People are in the middle of devouring.) Me: What the HELL. Later on my friends confessed that they figured I would be getting something like Pizza Hut, so when they saw a good pizza, they lost all control. I smacked them both soundly and told them never to ruin my photo ops again. (Not really.) So for $16, everyone was fat and happy, and they began scheming a plan to get out to Alachua and eat there in person. Yay! I love plays with happy endings.

Friendly family service and awesome pizza! Whenever we are close enough to Alachua we stop by for some pizza. These things come loaded with your favorite toppings, I get the supreme and it always comes out looking like a pizza work of art.

Not sure what pizzeria Anna B. ate at, but I frequent Main Street a lot and they have the best service and food in the area. Friendly staff, very friendly oriented. Judging by Anna's other reviews, she is either a 12 year old who likes to cuss while her parents aren't around or she has not idea what a good critic is. If you're going to critique a place, at least make it a review that people can learn from. You're a great cook? I bet...obviously, you have the imagination of an infant with the mouth of a sailor, so I don't put much faith in your own cooking, considering your mouth is trash.
