Molly's is a delightful throwback to a simpler time. Of course, I'm not sure that 'a simpler time' really ever existed, but that's another story. Even decorated with festive posters and bright colors, Molly's could almost be missed, if you weren't looking for it. Tucked in next to Timothy's, Molly's struck me as unassuming from the outside, but I'm happy that I stopped to check it out. The lunch menu consisted of a selection of club sandwiches and soups. I chose the turkey bacon club and a side of the chicken pot pie. Both were delightful. The not-breaking-the-bank lunch prices were a nice bonus. The staff weren't falling over themselves with graciousness, but they were polite and very efficient. I couldn't got to a place called Molly's Old Fashioned Ice Cream without a taste of their frozen dairy delights on my way out. A scoop of banana and a scoop of cookies and cream made my walk back to the office in this blistering heat a much more satisfying experience.

All I can say it do yourself a favor and get you some ice cream here! It was a cozy little retro atmosphere, and good old fashioned hand scooped ice cream!

Excellent, old fashioned ice cream shoppe. I love a good BLT, and they know how to do sandwiches right. What else do you want?

Molly's old fashioned ice cream is definitely not a top notch place in my book. Located on the Riverfront walk in Wilmington, Molly's could really have some potential, but it's just lacking. Their ice cream was just so-so, and their food was quite terrible. On top of that, it took about 25 minutes to get our lunch, and the milkshake was completely melted by the time they gave it to us with our food. I'd give it 3 stars if the staff was friendlier, but that wasn't so much the case either :( I'm not a fan!

Myself and my family only stopped by this place walking on the Riverfront. The place is very bright and welcoming, like a little kid's playhouse. It was hot and I wanted to buy the children some ice cream. I must say, they have limited ice cream for an ice cream parlor that focus or has old fashion ice cream as a title on the store. The sell some old fashion candy and has nostalgic posters and toys all around the place. As for the ice cream, they need to step back and come up with a better campaign for selling ice cream. I'll only come back here for water and a scoop of ice cream only if I'm hot and have the need.

We were in Delaware for the marathon/half marathon and stayed at the nearby Westin. While walking along the riverfront, we couldn't help but stop in to split a cone. Molly's does exactly what it says it does: Good oldfashioned ice cream. You can enjoy your cone on one of the benches or tables out front, or take a walk on the walk way - its such a great location. The decor is slightly retro, though maybe not fully committed to the look. The icecream was tasty and hit the spot. Otherwise - this is what it says (as I said before) - so if you want icecream, this is a great choice.

I came for the vegan business which is housed within the ice cream shop. While waiting for my to go order, I discovered that they have several vegan ice cream flavors available. I got the vegan butter pecan and it was delicious. I'm not a nut fan, but the pecans were melt-in-your-mouth good, and the base ice cream flavor was so vegan-buttery. I think I paid @ $5 for the ice cream cone. The ice cream shop has cool decor. Old album covers, classic art, etc. I had lots to look at while waiting on my other food. They also have a TV for your entertainment. They sell other snacks, drinks, and chocolates. (My bottle of water was $2.50.) Being that Delaware, in general, is not vegan-friendly, it's awesome that they offer up vegan ice cream flavors for those who avoid dairy, for whatever reason. The next time I'm in town, I'll make my way down here for more vegan ice cream.

We stopped by to get some ice cream since it was such a hot day. The decor is a fifties style diner in a very small Riverfront shop. I had a Restaurant.com g.c. to use but it was not acceptable due to a dispute with the Company. I got the food anyway. We ordered a couple soft pretzels, hot dog special, and ice cream sundaes. The hot dog that came quick was hot but it was also green gnarly looking. The pretzels were ok. I would not recommend this place due to them being overpriced and not good tasting food. The hot dog was put in the trash and we won't be back.

Cute little ice cream parlor off the river walk. I had a coupon for buy one get one free which is why we stopped. Ice cream was standard Jack and Jill. A large ice cream cone was $5 which was 3 scoops, scoops were big but not worth $5.

Delicious ice cream but slightly pricey for the amount you get. Very friendly staff and fun decor. Kids had a great time! Great location too.

Very expensive. Too much for the little amount of ice cream we got. There was an older black couple who came in behind us and had huge scoops of ice cream on there cones. Wouldn't have bothered me but my kids noticed. We've gone to many ice cream places and I rather go to richmans.

Most of my afternoons while i was in Wilmington, were spent at Molly's before i head out to the game at the ballpark next door. It's a cute little ice cream store located at the Riverfront... It's such a cute little gem with an array of sundaes, ice cream by the scoop, sandwiches, salads and chocolates .... The service here is excellent. The staff is very FRIENDLY and professional. They were so welcoming after i told them i'd have to stay there while i wait for my boyfriend's game.. I stole wi-fi next door as this place doesn't have wi-fi for it's customers. I tried the Pistachio and the Chocolate Chip.. pretty good! The manager said the ice cream is from the infamous Jack and Jill Ice cream truck; which is why it's sooo smooth. It's got lots of butter fat. Lol. I also tried their New England Clam Chowder soup. I have no idea if they make it there; but it was pretty good as well. Must try!!!!
