Ah Moe's. One of the best places to get a quick burrito. This location is fairly new and I can say when it first opened the employee staff seemed to be a lot friendly and made better quality food. Over my last couple visits I have noticed that a lot of food was not prepared and took longer than expect to be prepared. I do understand that this can happy anywhere and shouldn't be unexpected but when the staff tries talking you out of ordering it because they would have to make it? That's not good service. There is a woman here who I believe to be a manager, who I have seen go above and beyond for customers and that is something that's really nice to see. She's always friendly and knows her stuff. I continue to visit here because I enjoy the food and that's why I am giving it 4 stars.

Take a burrito, remove the tortilla skin, and put it into a bowl. That's a burrito bowl. So a burrito bowl is a kind of burrito, right? Not so, according to the staff at this Moe's. I've gone back and forth with them a lot on this matter to no avail. The reason why this is important is it determines whether a burrito bowl qualifies for the Moe Monday deal. Moe's in Brandywine and Moe's in Bear both accept that a burrito bowl is a burrito, so why does Moe's on Kirkwood Highway have to be different? That aside, everything else seems to be about average for a Moe's. They have all the usual fixings, except coleslaw. Beverage and salsa selections are pretty decent. However, arguing over the definition of a burrito just ruins everything, IMHO.

I've been to this location a few times now and I have no major complaints. The line moves fairly quickly, the food tastes great and they really stuff the burritos with anything you want on them! I took my sister here Monday and found out about Moe Mondays! Any size burrito and a drink for only $5.99!! That makes me want to go back every Monday! The only suggestions I have would be to keep the sweet tea dispenser filled and get some hot sauce on the menu. There were no hot salsa's available past mild which did not sit well with my sister and the spicy guacamole was apparently not spicy at all. My sister did not like the place but I am still a fan!!

The manager at this Moes is extremely rude and clearly not fit to be working in the food industry with customers. He must've been having a bad day, but that's not my problem as a customer. His store was opening late during the lunch rush hour and instead of coming outside and explaining himself clearly and professionally, he did the exact opposite. He basically made the customers feel like we were burdening him because he had some "issues" happening in the store. There are ways to handle that matter that will make your customers feel empathy for your situation, and then there is another way where it forces everyone to leave and take their business elsewhere. He chose the latter. I'll never go back there again. My business will be taken elsewhere. Food doesn't matter when service is subpar. Remember that in the future, Mr. Manager.

I love Moes typically over any other competition (Chipotle, etc) but this Moes consistently disappoints me. Not only do they not seem to uphold the standard of quality I usually see from Moes, the staff is terrible. It seems to be an issue more deeply rooted too, at a management level. The staff is either rude or unhelpful, if not both, no matter how friendly you are. I rarely hear 'Welcome to Moes!' when I walk in the door, and when they do say it, it is said with possibly negative enthusiasm. I have visited surrounding Moes and if you ask their management about this particular franchise location, you will see they have similar opinions. Also, on the food side of things, the chips are usually cold (not warm and fresh like all other Moes I have visited) and the burrito wrapping is hit or miss. There are too many other choices (including authentic Mexican food closer to wilmington) to waste your money or time here.

If it was possible to give a zero rating, that is what I would have given this particular Moe's. This is a different owner than Bear and North Wilmington and obviously he does not train his staff. The staff is rude, inconsiderate and will ruin your experience if given the chance. They also can't roll a burrito to save their lives. It WILL pop open and you will sit there with a big mess. Don't walk in the door. Go to McDonald's across the parking lot instead and get treated the way you deserve! That's scary to say that they will treat you better at McDonalds. When the owner at Moe's sees his income decline and takes some time to read these reviews, he'll figure it out and learn how to run a business.

This is definitely the crappiest Moes in the area. We were in a hurry so we placed an order online. When I walked in she told me that they've been busy so they hadn't started the order yet. The website said the order would be done at 6:24. I walked in at 635. Past experiences have included a leaky roof, Dusty dusty ceiling fans and really dusty salt-and-pepper shakers that needed a good wipe down. Employees are not in uniform and wear pretty much whatever they feel like. Which includes hoodies and sunglasses. The last time we were in there the man at the register accused my wife of trying to get free beans by her asking to have the beans on the side for her burrito. If you really really need a burrito and don't feel like driving an extra 10 minutes then I guess this is the place for you.

I saw there was a Moe's in the Midway shopping center so for lunch today I checked them out. They just opened in July so the store is new and clean. Staff was friendly and seemed to know their product. I got a pork Joey and it was good. I don't know what happened to their "hot sauce" option at their little salsa bar but it was really good. The store in Brandywine had it last time I went (which was more than a year ago).

Never tried Moe's before but heard good things about it so I decided to try it. That it was right on my way home and I didn't feel like driving a little further out to the taquerias was also on my mind. First thing upon walking in, water was dripping from the ceiling and collecting in a nice little pool on the floor and hitting me in the face. I tell one of the servers behind the counter and seems mildly annoyed/distintersted by this. Ok. So I tried the nachos with chicken. They give you the option of taking the nacho cheese on the side or on the chips. I decided to put it on the chips. I also added salsa, extra shredded cheese, and pinto beans (option of black beans as well). I sit down to dig in because I hadn't eaten all day. YUCK. The whole combination of flavors gives off a weird aftertaste. The chips are cold, a little on the stale side, and devoid of any flavor. Seriously, store bought chips seem home made compared to this. They tout all natural and fresh ingredients but I got the impression that the under seasoned and cold chicken and salsa had been sitting in there storage bins for days and days and days on end. Ate about half of it and threw the rest in the garbage where it belonged. Never again. The taquerias are a little bit out of my way but at least I know the money I pay will be worth it.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
