Being from New York, we avoid all things chain restaurants. Starving in Delaware lead us to Bertuccis. Service was impeccable, because we had never been here before the manager brought us a welcome vegetable platter that was surprisingly delicious. The service was great, food was pretty good! I'm impressed for being a chain restaurant and being in the middle of nothing. Nice job!

I'm giving Bertucci's four stars because of service. I attended a paint party there to celebrate my friend's birthday. I asked if they had something cake-y that they could bring out to her. The manager, Annie, enthusiastically offered several choices. I chose the brownie with ice cream. Annie said that they could put a candle in it, too. Just let her know when I was ready. Once I checked with the artist to see when we could bring it out, I let Annie know and she and Alicia, our server, took care of it. As Alicia approached the birthday girl with the dessert, all of the paint party participants sang happy birthday, making my friend feel very special. This may not seem like a big deal, but they made a long-time friend of mine feel awesome on her birthday. Thank you, ladies. I really appreciate all that you did.

Came here on a whim trying to find a good Italian place. The staff is very friendly and well trained. The waitress , Jenny was EXCELLENT... Made special request on how I wanted salmon prepared and it was perfect! Also the glass of Kendall Jackson Chardonnay was so fresh! Tasted like they just opened the bottle. Highly recommend this Bertucci's!! Stephanie A.

Very disappointing to see how bad this place has become. The servers were too busy chatting up the manager by the kitchen, our food took way too long and it was cold and the quality of the food frankly was mediocre at best. I recommend that you pass on this place

If you've read my reviews, you'll know I"m forever whining about chain restaurants, and how terrible they are. Today, I"m delighted to share that this Bertucci's restored my faith in chain humanity, so to speak. Everything was fresh, everything was cooked to order, everything was attractively prepared, everything actually tasted GOOD. Portions and prices were reasonable as well. Our server was GREAT (Stephanie)!! Thank you, Bertucci's for being a part of a great meal with friends.

Just returned from lunch with a friend and we were very disappointed. Very slow service. Our waitress was more about her socializing with other staff members than waiting on tables. My unsweetened tea arrived without sugar, after a few mins I asked another waitress for some. Our food took longer than expected (salad and manicotti). She seemed very overwhelmed w/ the few tables that she had. We sat waiting for her to return - empty dishes, empty glasses, needing our bill. She finally returned and we asked for our bill and another round of drinks in to go cups because we needed to leave. Another 5mins plus and she finally returned w/ our bill and drinks. No "Thank You" from her when she gave us our bill. Both of our to go cups had issues with the lids - they didn't fit and spilled. our lunch hour turned into 70 mins just at the restaurant.

This place took a very long time for a simple salad. Sassy waiters and waitresses. Also, no ranch dressing. Although the bread is good, I'm pretty sure it's full of carbs. O stars.

ZERO STARS!!!! We waited 25 minutes to be seated before we walked out. Entered restaurant and table of 4 in front of us and our party of 3 were told that there was a 10 to 15 minute wait due to staffing issues. We were the only 2 party's on list. There were 12 empty tables within view of front door. Party of for 4 was seated in 5 minutes. We waited another 10 (15 total) before manager approached us and inquired as to what we were waiting for. She apologized then disappeared.... 10 minutes later a table 6 upon entering said they would have a table ready shortly. They were seated within 5 minutes by a server from the back. At that point the table we entered with were already enjoying appetizers. So we told the manager thanks for nothing, she was surprised we were still waiting yet she allowed us to leave without a word or effort to retain our business. As we pulled out of parking lot she cleared the wait list by seating the restaurant. Stay away. It's awful customer service. We have a policy of trying not to eat at any restaurant that we can eat at home while traveling. THIS WAS A CUSTOMER SERVICE FAIL!!!! It's too bad, my son enjoyed watching the pizza chef work with the dough in the open kitchen.

Very good, had a nice waitress who was friendly and attentive . Got the strawberry mojito and it was great. My daughter got the kids ravioli and it was good. I got the half egg plant and half chick parm(per request) and it was amazing!! Bread is always hot and amazing w the oil! Hubby got his usual ... Can't think of the name but has peppers , onions , sausage noodles and marinara sauce. A kick to it and it's amazing too!

We were driving by and decided last minute to come in for dinner tonight. My boyfriend and I have had a streak of bad experiences at restaurants as of late but were so pleasantly surprised by bertuccis. We got the $35 valentine share menu and it was not only delicious but so worth the price. Our server, Ann Marie, was a sweetheart and very attentive. My boyfriend's daughters liked the Olaf valentine attached to our bill (nice touch). We could not have asked for a better last minute decision on a Friday night!!

I really like the sporkie lunch but the management really goofed today when they decided not to bake rolls which are supposed to be served with the salad until more people showed up. Salad would have been better with the rolls but they didn't show up until dessert. Better to waste bread than the good will they lost today.

My girlfriend and I went there Monday night for date night and it was a very fitting atmosphere - quiet with friendly service. Their brick oven pizzas are fantastic. Can't decide which one you want? Go with the Ultimate Bertucci, which is essentially four pizzas in one. The best part, though? Even with dessert and drinks, the bill was pretty reasonable. This place is definitely worth trying again.

Yeah, it's a chain Italian bistro but you can't beat it. Awesome food, the Carmine pizza is my new favorite; the breads, salads, fettucini; all of it is incredible and after several visits, we haven't had one negative experience. Servers are always friendly, seeming eager to please, checking-in throughout the meal but not to the point of annoyance. The main dining room is a bit noisy at busy times but is comfortable and suitable for an intimate one-on-one dinner or a medium size group; decorated in a dark wood, but bright contemporary style. Prices are very affordable and the portions are large.. What's not to love about this place? While I typically hate reviewing large chains, I have to give credit where credit is due and Betucci's Brick Oven in Wilmington is about the best it gets. Kudos! You should really give this place a try.

Look, you know what you're going to get here. It's a plus because of the fast, friendly service...even late on a Monday night. I like the bar specials and the fact that I usually don't have to wait. The pizza is great. I like the menucci pizzas for a quick meal, but the specialty pizzas are really great when you have a little more time to sit and enjoy. :)

I went to here today on a Monday and I got a pizza and when I ordered it it took not 30min. It took a hour and it wasnt good there. It was burnt dough no shrimp I think there was at least two shrimp and a shit ton of arugula and the salad tasted like shit there was like 1 cook and 2 waiters I've gone here before and I've liked but If someone one said go here again I would say no way your out of your mind and I wouldn't spend another dime at this place ever again...

Went there over the weekend with my sister and we ordered individual brick oven pizzas. I ordered the Bertucci's deluxe or something like that. It had four slices to it and each slice had it's own topping. One was their homemade meatballs (which were great), grilled chicken on another, the third had sausage and the last had a rosemary ham slices. It was AWESOME. I want to go back very soon for more yumminess.

I prefer real Italian food when I crave it but the sausage soup is fantastic. I also enioy the chicken marsala and on the lunch menu they had a steak sandwhich but I have not been in so long do not know if they still have it. If so get it!

We went to Bertuccis 2 days ago. We have eaten there many times before and never been disappointed. That is until now. 4 of us at table and everyone of us complained about lack of flavor. We all had different items from the menu. My eggplant pomodoro was definitely tasteless. The sauce tasted like someone opened a can of tomato sauce heated it and poured over pasta without adding any seasoning. We will definitely not be returning any time soon. With lots of competition in the area will check out others and cross this one off our favorites!!

I wish I could give zero stars! My husband and I walk in at around 2pm on a Saturday and there is no one at the hostess stand. We stand there for a moment waiting for assistance. Meanwhile we are being gawked at by a waitress sweeping the floor and at least 3 other people in the kitchen lounging around. When it becomes obvious that no one is willing to seat us we decide to sit at the bar in the vain hope that someone will eventually notice us. There is no one at the bar but since it is right next to the hostess stand and in full site of the social hour occurring in the kitchen we figure it's our best best. We see a girl with long dark hair leaning over the rail near the kitchen looking at us. We are hoping that she is the hostess so we look back at her. Silently pleading "PLEASE COME WAIT ON US!" She ducks her head back in the kitchen. About five minutes later when we are about to give up a pair of sixty somethings come through the door and stand at the hostess station. Immediately the aforementioned dark haired girl comes running to the hostess station and apologizes PROFUSELY to the couple who had to wait all of 35 seconds to be seated. Needless to say at this point my husband and I stormed out of there. I live five minutes from this location but now I know why it is never busy whereas the Newark location almost always has a long wait. I will drive the 30 minutes to Newark and wait another 30 minutes before I ever darken the door of that establishment again.

We went out last night, and my daughter ordered something off of their seasonal menu from last season that she loves - caramella, or something like that. Looks like a specialty ravioli. Luckily, they had a few leftover even though its off the menu now, and my daughter was soooo excited. At the end of the meal, the manager came out with another serving, boxed up to take home, because he heard how happy daughter was. That was a class act.

I've eaten there several times. The last couple of times the service was 'off' and I had a wine glass with lipstick marks presented to me. Worse - ordered the 4 cheese tortillini for take-out that I had enjoyed dining in - a huge amount. The waittress in the take-out area spooned HALF of what was in the small serving dish into my take-out container but charged me the full price. Guess she hadn't eaten and planned to eat the rest of my dinner. Not going back. I don't care HOW much my friend loves it!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
