Excellent NY style pizza. Relatively small delivery radius, so will make sure the nexttime I'min Wilmington that I'm closer.

Was really hoping this place was overall a good eat but not the case for me and my bf. We ate here and ordered the chicken parm and wings, not too good. The sauce for the chicken parm was too robust and too salty yet the chicken was bland. The wings tasted burnt and the BBQ sauce went unnoticed with the blue cheese. We have dined here before and got the cheesesteak with fries which was good. I'm not sure why these other two items weren't the same! I do not think I will be returning.

This place is incredible. I tried it for the first time a few weeks ago and the pizza was incredible. The garlic knots were incredible. The wings were incredible. There aren't many great places in Delaware for a girl to find great food but I can honestly say I loved this place. I'm not one who actually enjoys leftovers but even the leftovers were great. I'd recommend this place to anyone!

I live next to a relatively decent pizza place and still prefer ordering from Dom's, paying the delivery charge, waiting for the food, tipping the driver. I think that should say something about the food! They've had consistently good pizza every time I ordered. The toppings were generous. Their salads are always delicious and huge. The croutons (homemade, I think?) are my favorite - like little crunchy garlic bread cubes - and I usually hate croutons and toss them aside. The only critique I really have is that I wish the pastas were better sauced or came with an extra side of sauce. The spaghetti was practically dry when I ordered it with chicken parm and same with the spaghetti & meatballs. As a lazy phone-shy weirdo, I appreciate that I can order online too. Browse all my options at my leisure.

I'm from New York and this pizza is Authentic. Fold it up and eat it. Dom is friendly and is hands on in the kitchen! Great establishment !

Holy Sxxx! I kelp hearing people talk about this and that about and that place, this place and their momma's place about having the best pizza in town. And Dom's by far! The Best pizza in DE! Case closed...

I've tried a few things on the menu here. I think the pizza is really good, wasn't a fan of the cheesesteak or the broccoli bites as they were just ok. The antipasto salad is pretty good too, although its made different every time I have tried it. I think I'll stick with pizza and salad here.

Love this place. Everything is delicious. The pizza is the main attraction and for good reason...its awesome! Everything from the plain cheese to the Buffalo chicken, it's all excellent. I've also tried the wings and canolis and both are delicious! The bar is another reason to visit Dom's altogether. Tons of great craft beers on tap, HD TV's showing sports all over the place and the atmosphere is great. If you're ever in the area, you need to try this place.

I don't understand all the great reviews. My pizza was greasy, soggy, all the toppings centered in the middle, and there was almost no cheese! No cheese to the point that none of the toppings could stay on. But that was a moot point because I couldn't pick a piece up - it was that soggy! Definitely NOT NY style pizza like I've ever had. I ate one piece and pitched the rest.

The good: -very large selection during lunch rush -quick, friendly service -Dom is down to earth and customer-oriented -delicious pizza...by far better than other local spots...and i am very hard to please (kudos Doms) -my favorite is the hawaiian pizza -tasty garlic knots (and inexpensive 3 for $1) The bad: -you need to make sure they keep it in the oven long enough as it can get really busy. If not, pizza will be cold and soggy...only happened a couple times...no big woop Bottom line: i will return with a smile on my face -Ms. Foodie

I have looked for a good pie in Delaware for a long time! Stanton has a good spot, Trolley has a couple good places but I have to say Dom's is IT. My search is over....for now, the Steak Stromboli with the garlic butter glaze...banging'. The various pies I've ordered, all delicious, sauce great, not to sweet and a good blend of herb and acid. I will check out the little restaurant area for pasta or sandwiches. If the local fire company and police eat there, it's got to be pretty good.

Definitely good pizza compared to most places in the area. I usually get a slice or two to go without heating it up and bring it home to throw in the oven. The crust gets nice and crispy. I also ordered hoagies to go when my grandmother came to visit a few weeks ago. This is where my rating goes down. The meatballs on my gram's hoagie were yummy and my steak was good. We both asked for our hoagies to be baked because that's how they make them at the pizzerias where I'm from, but I've found that you have to ask for that around here. I'm not sure if it was just the bread or if maybe they are not used to baking hoagies but they were wrapped tightly in the paper and that killed the bread. Also the cheese on my gram's hoagie was on top of the meatballs and got all stuck to the paper when it was wrapped. Now, had it been a cold cut wrapping it tightly would have been great, but not with a baked hoagie. My most recent order was the steak stromboli. I enjoyed it but will ask for it not to have the sauce cooked inside next time. It made the bottom soggy but still tasted good. I threw the leftovers in the oven the next day and this was much better because the whole thing crisped up. I don't live far and was there just in time to pick up my order so I think it was the sauce inside that made it soggy. All in all I will continue to order from Dom's. Maybe try eating in and some other menu items. Like I said it is much better than other places around here. I think Pat's and Season's are gross, I'd rather get a frozen pizza than pay the prices they charge for their food. Dom's has good food and good prices.

I love Dom's! Pizza is really good. Chew crust, plenty of cheese with good sauce. Antipasta salad - good with oil and balsamic Strombolis - are large and filled. They have several choices and you can create your own White garlic pizza is one of my favorites! Def worth stopping to eat in or take out

We recently moved to DE and decided to grab pizza for the first time tonight. We tried Dom's based on the reviews and because I'm a native NYer (to the reviewer who didn't "get" why it has to be NY pizza, it's mentioned because the thinner, chewier crust is that of NY pizza, as opposed to the leaning-toward-Chicago-style "bread with cheese on it" that constitutes most pizza out of the NY/NJ area). Dom's has a very limited delivery area, so we had to pick it up. However, this wasn't a big deal as we had spent the last 3 years in California, where many places don't deliver. I must say it was refreshing to be back on the right coast, where pizza is as it's meant to be: thin, large, and deliciously topped with quality cheese, meats, and veggies. The crust was well done, except for the very middle (where it got just a bit soggy). While I'm a fan of sliced Italian sausage, wasn't really digging the lumps of sausage from Dom's, but the pepperoni, mushrooms, and onions were great. At $21 for an extra large pie with the aforementioned toppings (that could easily feed 4 people), it was a decent deal. Bottom line: We'll likely be headed back to Dom's, but will definitely continue to explore other pizzerias in the area.

I still love this place and will continue to order, simply because its the best pizza around. As far as the taste of the food is concerned, its awesome. However, I have had quite a few service and consistancy issues over the past year which is why I am downgrading from 5 stars. We once received a boli roll that was almost raw. On another occasion our pizza was seriously mishapen and the cheese had moved all around in the box. A few times we've received calls back or been told when calling that they were out of certain items that we requested. Recently I had an online order that was cancelled by their computer system after I placed it. I realized this after an hour of waiting and called to find out what happened. They explained, in detail, that it was the computer's mistake and when I asked if they could still bring us the food we were waiting for they agreed despite it now being after their delivery hours. 20 minutes later the delivery driver showed up with a small bag, which I knew immediately wasn't our full order. He assured me that it was, so I opened it up and verified that over half our order was missing- a 2L of soda, 2 sandwiches, and an order of onion rings. As he headed to his car, I mentioned for the first time that I was now expecting to receive some sort of credit toward the order. Another 20 minutes later (we live a mile away), he showed up with the rest of our order and said that i should call when it was convenient for me to "discuss" it. It was past 10:30 in the evening, we had just gotten our food and I never called for a few reasons. The managers were aware of the situation, they have my contact information (and lengthy order history) in their system, and should have resolved the situation right away without having to embarrass me into calling and begging for a few bucks. How they let my order go out the door with that much food missing (plus a 2 liter) is beyond me. I've been in the food/hotel industry for years and for a manager to send a message with a sheepish delivery person, rather than deliver the second order himself or just take off $5 or something, is lazy and insulting. The only saving grace was that the food was still really, really good. Which is why I will continue to order from Doms. I'll just keep tabs on my delivery status from now on.

We finally decided to give them a try. My wife called to order one night. I wanted a HAMBURGER sub. She was told they didn't make hamburger subs, So we tried to order a STEAK sandwich. The order taker didn't understand what a STEAK sandwich was. When she tried to explain its like a cheese steak without the cheese she seemed even more perplexed. The sad thing is they have a CHESSEBURGER sub and a Cheese Steak so why can't I order them without cheese. MIGHT try them again for pizza which I hope is easy to understand.

I have watched, over the last 5 years or more, transform from a take out pizza joint to a very nice restaurant. I watched this young kid grow up and do more as a young 20-something then many much older people have done in the food business. Is it perfect? No. It's fun to watch how the process keeps evolving though. I was in the food business a long time here in Delaware so I can be forthcoming in my opinion. It's not always great, but it is usually great and always good. The owner tries hard though. He has a young staff which brings a lot of fun to the establishment while also leaving room for improvements. It's an every-changing-process. The Pizza is the best NY style (thin hand tossed crust) in the State. I have, and will always say, it's the the most authentic NY style pizza outside of the Big Apple. Steaks.. well they make mine as close to perfection as possible, depending on who is making it. 8 out of 10 times it is perfect. 80% is really good for most professionals, so I'll keep getting it. The new restaurant, now with a full bar, Sports on several TV screens and a quaint ambiance is just what the area needed. But let me tell you, this place is, and should be, more than a neighborhood restaurant. They have introduced many new things when they expanded from the mostly takeout to the full fledged restaurant. Pasta, more salads, more appetizers and of course desserts along with the beer, wine and drinks. Pasta is usually very good. Tonight I had the spaghetti and homemade meatballs. Nice portion size. Two large meatballs made there on the premises. There is always room for improvements. Once a restaurant stops improving they are on their way out anyway and I predict that Dom's NY Style Pizzeria is going to be around a long time. Newport is not far from Newark, Wilmington and other parts, so give it a try. Go for other foods and try them, but at some point you have to try their pizza. I do recommend eating here.

Stopped by on our way back from NY to MD based on reviews. Excellent pizza by the slice - crispy, chewy crust with delicious sauce & toppings. Nice, clean, new restaurant space that opened the beginning of this month. Impressed with owner's enthusiasm for his business. We'll be stopping here when we come back through again.

After hearing about how good their Pizza is i decided to give it a go. I found the pizza to be really good. Exactly what you would want form a little pizzeria. Delicious crust, cheese melted nicely, and a good sauce made for a really good pie. The guys working there were super friendly. I can't wait to go back and try some other options. If the steaks and subs are half as good as the pizza then I've found a new favorite Pizza place.

I don't know exactly why the pizza has to be "NY" pizza, there is plenty of good pizza in the greater Wilmington area. I'm embarrassed for the person who listed Pat's and Season's as some kind of comparison. Again, there are plenty of good pizza places in Northern DE. They're just not going to jump out and bite you. Dom's is my favorite pizza place in DE. The pizza quality varies depending on who is working. The tall skater guy is the MVP of Dom's Pizza. Not only does he make the more interesting, larger, and best slices, but he also does a great job of welcoming frequent customers, and seems to hold the place together from a PR standpoint. I don't return to businesses who aren't friendly to me. Needless to say, I always feel welcomed in Dom's. Their non-sauce pizzas are the best. They have a great dough, good cheese, however their pepperoni pizza is far too greasy. Must be the pepperoni. For some reason, their pepperoni completely soaks the cheese and sauce in grease, and ruins the pizza. My favorite slice ever had alfredo sauce - best slice of pizza in my life. The BLT was also a sleeper. However, depending on the people working, sometimes there are no cool slices. They need to keep that a bit more uniform. Half the reason I go is to see what kind of cool slices they have. I don't want to see pepperoni and sausage. I can get that anywhere. I want to see the alfredo, blt, etc. I never get any attitude about using my card for $4.50, which is great. I've been to places where they hustle me over that, and it makes me not want to return. If you want my business, you better not hassle me over a 10 cent cardholders fee. I won't get their steaks, unfortunately, until they start using real Amoroso's rolls. Anybody can do meat and cheese - but the roll can make or break a steak, and it breaks their steak. Sorry guys. Again - the pizza is usually great, the staff is extremely friendly slices re large, and is really everything I could ask my favorite pizza place to be. Dom's also keeps kids off the streets, and gives them a hang out place which is extremely important to the community. Any random day you will see a line of skateboards and scooters right outside by the window. They also have a bunch of Phillies, Eagles, and Flyers posters that alternate over the weeks. Keeps me entertained while I'm waiting. Dom's is a class act - nice people.. great pizza. I just wish they would lay off the "Philly steaks" thing. Delaware people do NOT call steaks "Philly cheesesteaks." They're just cheesesteaks. It really makes them look like amateurs when they have to attach the name "Philly." We don't do that around here.

Best Pizza in Delaware is true. I can't write an extensive review as we only stopped in for a slice. I'm so disappointed in the pizza available in a 50 mile radius that I wasn't willing to risk ordering the whole pie without trying a slice. It was fabulous. It IS a bit of a dive - but that was fine as far as I'm concerned. I'm just looking for a great pizza. This beats the typical Pat's, Season's, Apo's and other local joints by far. It's not a wood or coal oven pizza which would make it 5 stars- but if a rewarmed slice is that damn good - I'll be back for a whole pie!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
