We eat take out from there about every 4-5 weeks. They have good shrimp tempura or egg roll appetizers, and we tend to get a pint of chicken with cashew nuts and maybe shrimp lo mein. Plenty of chicken in the dish, and the vegetables are crisp AND they hold up another day for left overs at lunch. I like that I can get a pint, so there can be more variety and we find and appetizer and two pints (and a little container of rice with the chicken dish) is more than enough for dinner for two and then lunch or even dinner again the next day. With a larger crowd, you can just keep on adding pints. It can be pretty hectic in there, so keep a list of what you ordered in case they got your phone number wrong (they didn't ask for a name last time, just said "10 minutes" and hung up). We have tried other Chinese in the area, but this is our go-to place with good food and good prices.

Friendly and efficient service. They have a new vegetarian menu, with vegetarian "meats" that range from chicken to beef. It's my favorite place to get take out in the area. Prices are very fair.

We went to Hunan Royale for lunch two days in a row it was so good! We had the lunch special each day - Chicken with Cashews, 2 Hot and Sour soups, Chicken with Broccoli, we opted for white rice with both lunch specials. Both dishes were well cooked, tasty and light with little oil. The soup was savory and included fresh toppings. The next day we tried the lunch specials again, this time the General Tso's and Kung Pao Chicken, one with fried rice this time. Again, very good food, however I think to make the General Tso's tastier they used a fair amount of MSG. The other dishes didn't seem to use it. All the lunch specials are $5.95 for entree, white or pork fried rice, and your choice of soup or egg roll - a great deal. The tables there were nice to sit even though we took ours out. The staff was very nice and I think this is a great addition to the beach area - provides a great alternative to fries and pizza for lunch! Also, open to 10 pm, they are open later than most other options.

I do believe you can judge a Chinese food resturant by its wonton soup. Their wonton are light with thin noodle, just as I like it. During my 5 day stay, I ventured to Hunan Royale 4 days just to get soup. I also had pepper steak, and it was phenomenal...for a cheap Chinese food place. My only slight complaint is that the wait was long...probably because the food is so good.

The food here is actually quite good. For those of us that come from more urban areas where good Chinese food is easy to find, it is easy to be critical but I have found this food to be a good beach substitute. It is mostly a take out place although you can eat in. The chicken w broccoli was well prepared, seasoned, and steaming hot. The pork dumplings were as good as home. The parents and their children only speak mandarin Chinese in the restaurant between themselves which I take as a good sign.

My husband and I were looking for good Chinese food. This was a restaurant the locals use. The owners speak little English. You order by circling your choice on the menu. Service was slow but the food was worth it. My husband got the pepper steak and I got the ribs. Great food at a very reasonable price. Dinner for two under $20.

The worst ever customer service. Not even close to being Chinese food. Go elsewhere!

This has become one of my favorite Chinese places EVER. Their sesame chicken is phenomenal and I love their cheese wontons! Always a hit at my house and will certainly return on a regular basis

Service and quality has really gone down. Never get order correct now. Kids running the place. Ordered treasure of the sea and they must have run out if seafood because they added beef and chicken instead of seafood. Do not recommend.

I ordered fried chicken and fries. It was good. I'll definitely go back if I was in the neighborhood.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
