Me and my husband went there for lunch today n were very happy! We stopped going for a long time cause their sandwiches were skimpy. After realizing the Chinese place next door was closed we went to subway......def gained us back as customers. We now feel they know how to make a sandwich. And the cookies were delish! Good job :-)
We eat take out from there about every 4-5 weeks. They have good shrimp tempura or egg roll appetizers, and we tend to get a pint of chicken with cashew nuts and maybe shrimp lo mein. Plenty of chicken in the dish, and the vegetables are crisp AND they hold up another day for left overs at lunch. I like that I can get a pint, so there can be more variety and we find and appetizer and two pints (and a little container of rice with the chicken dish) is more than enough for dinner for two and then lunch or even dinner again the next day. With a larger crowd, you can just keep on adding pints. It can be pretty hectic in there, so keep a list of what you ordered in case they got your phone number wrong (they didn't ask for a name last time, just said "10 minutes" and hung up). We have tried other Chinese in the area, but this is our go-to place with good food and good prices.
Friendly and efficient service. They have a new vegetarian menu, with vegetarian "meats" that range from chicken to beef. It's my favorite place to get take out in the area. Prices are very fair.
We went to Hunan Royale for lunch two days in a row it was so good! We had the lunch special each day - Chicken with Cashews, 2 Hot and Sour soups, Chicken with Broccoli, we opted for white rice with both lunch specials. Both dishes were well cooked, tasty and light with little oil. The soup was savory and included fresh toppings. The next day we tried the lunch specials again, this time the General Tso's and Kung Pao Chicken, one with fried rice this time. Again, very good food, however I think to make the General Tso's tastier they used a fair amount of MSG. The other dishes didn't seem to use it. All the lunch specials are $5.95 for entree, white or pork fried rice, and your choice of soup or egg roll - a great deal. The tables there were nice to sit even though we took ours out. The staff was very nice and I think this is a great addition to the beach area - provides a great alternative to fries and pizza for lunch! Also, open to 10 pm, they are open later than most other options.
This place is great! Came here on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. Best carbonara I've had in a long time! The fried mozzerella was really good for an appetizer. I would definitely eat here again and bring some friends or family, too.
We always visit this restaurant when vacationing in Bethany Beach. The restaurant is cozy and comfortable. It is located a short drive west of Bethany Beach on Route 26. We all ordered pasta bolognese along with an order of calamari fritti. The calamari was lightly coated and very tender. It came with three dipping sauces. The generous portion of pasta bolognese was outstanding - even better than the bolognese that I had in Italy which was awesome. Prices are reasonable and reservations are accepted.
Went with my hubby and parents for our nice dinner out during our beach vacation. It's a small and popular restaurant so reservations fill up fast. We managed to secure a same day 5:30 reservation on a Thursday. It's a cute little restaurant and all enjoyed their meals. We started with bruschetta - delicious. I had the chicken marsala which was excellent and just the right size. Hubby had a chicken and pepperoni pizza, mom had chicken parmesan, and dad had eggplant parmesan. Everyone cleaned their plates! My dad and I enjoyed a glass of the montepulciano (red wine). Service was friendly and prompt. A nice choice for dinner out on vacation!
Have had much better experiences at the Tuna lately. Must recommend the Waffle fries that come loaded with shrimp and crab meat. A good place to come, especially during the week (Al's closes at 8).
Was their last evening.... Two of us made the mistake of ordering mussels. Twelve mussels,on a plate , large ,tuff, tasteless ! Since they were on a plate bus girl spilled broth when giving me them to me. Not until we were done did the waitress come and ask how things were! Use to love this place and took friends there because of previous experiences. Not in a hurry to repeat last mites dinner!
Under the previous owner this place had a very nice Sunday brunch. Not so much today. Came in about noon over the Labor Day weekend. No one was up front to greet us. After we were finally seated we discovered that the brunch was a very reduced menu with food that had been out for as much as three hours. No omelette station, no salad, just cookies for dessert. Doubt we'll be back.
Every time I have attempted to order on the phone, I end up with an incompetent employee and have to repeat all of my information multiple times. No complaints with the food, it's just did difficult dealing with them!
It was okay. ...Wings didn't have much taste but they were crispy. ..even with the sauce. White pizza was undercooked. ....was extremely hot inside. .....
Service was very slow. Food was standard bar food.
