Situated in the North Dover Shopping Center, Tony's Bella Villa (Tony's Pizza in big red letters on the sign above the door) is one of the best pizza places in the Dover area. If you love authentic, uncomplicated, bright tomato and garlic flavors then you will probably love Tony's Pizza. Tony's Pizza is the new name. Tony purchased the restaurant from his Uncle a few years back. Tony's has been a family run and operated restaurant from the beginning. Desiree and the other folks there always work to give you an enjoyable dining experience. An unassuming restaurant, Tony's has the delicious Italian flavors at a reasonable price and friendly atmosphere. The pizza dough is hand tossed in house by Tony himself most days. In my opinion, Tony's is the best pizza in the Dover area. It is consistently bright and delicious. If you love garlic, I suggest the garlic bread sticks with sauce. It is covered with big chunks of fresh roasted garlic and a couple of other spices. Tony makes them himself so get there early cause when he's gone and they're gone that's it. Heheh. There are fixed booths, tables with chairs and a few resizable booths in the back. The atmosphere is cozy. Italian and Spanish music, sometimes Country plays much of the time and there is a TV in the back and front as well. No matter whether you are there to eat alone or with the whole family, Tony's friendly staff is always ready to take great care of you. The kids absolutely Love Tony's pizza! We've tried every single pizza place in central Delaware and you can't beat Tony's. Even though I live south of Dover, I go out of my way to eat at Tony's because it's the best pizza in town and I like the best of things. :-)

Very good pizza place. We were in Dover and wanted pizza so we turned to Yelp. Picked Tonys. When we arrived it was in a strip mall so we didnt know what to expect but it ended up being very enjoyable. Clean place and prompt service. We got calamari which was good and we got a large pepperoni and bacon pizza. It is the good fresh hand tossed crust with a good tasting thinner sauce and cooked perfectly. The calamari was $8 and the pizza was $16. Give or take a nickel. We would definetly return

This place is awesome and sooo clean! My daughter goes to college here and every time we being her or pick her up we make a pit stop for some fresh yummie food! Everything is delicious from the pizza to the calzone and its ALWAYS a friendly enviroment. They have customer service skills but I think this is their general disposition. I'm a lifelong customer you won't be disappointed

Tony's by far has some of the best pizza in the area. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. Something happened here in the past 8-9 months. There must have been a change in the cook and or ownership as the menu has changed and a number of their absolute best items are no longer available. Their muscles in red sauce was absolutely fantastic but is no longer available. Their fried calamari on a bed of lettuce was also absolutely fantastic but is also no longer available. Tony's is surprisingly very very good for a small pizza shop in a strip mall. Hopefully they bring back the fried calamari and muscles in red sauce. That's why I gave it 4 stars and not 5 stars. Tony!!! Hopefully you read these.

This restaurant closed it's doors several months ago. I always enjoyed stopping by for a salad and a couple of slices for lunch. Sorry to see them go.

Awesome place. Awesome service and food selection. Coming from New Jersey, the reasonable prices were almost overwhelming. I can't to enjoy their experience again. Went there with 6 other resturant afficianotos and they all felt the same way.

It appears that this restaurant was formerly called Bella Villa and is now called Tony's Pizza; at least, that is what the sign outside says now. My family and I stopped at Tony's Pizza for lunch recently. Judging by its strip mall location, I wasn't expecting too much from this pizza parlor, but it turned out to be a a good choice. When we entered, the initial smell of garlic was overwhelming, but we grew used to it after five minutes. The restaurant is modestly sized, clean and nicely decorated. I was impressed by the ceiling, which was painted navy blue and dotted with glow-in-the-dark stars. Our server was attentive and helpful. The three of us ordered a pizza to share, which was the perfect amount of food and a very affordable lunch. The pizza was good--not extraordinary, but still enjoyable. I don't believe that I'd go out of my way to eat at Tony's Pizza, but if I were in the area again and looking for an inexpensive, good meal, I would be glad to stop here.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
