Go here as much as possible, especially during football season. Never had a bad meal yet! Staff is always friendly.

Frazier's is an odd place with decent food and mediocre service. The restaurant is tucked underneath a few different businesses in a building sitting next to a pond. I'm not sure what exactly Frazier's is going for but it has a very large bar area, a medium sized dining area adjacent to the pond, and a large banquet hall where they hold weddings and receptions. I've come here about a dozen times but most of them were in a group from work since it's so close. I've never been super impressed with anything on the menu except the crab dishes like crab cakes or crabby grilled cheese. The prices are a tad on the high end for the quality but that seems to be the norm these days. Everyone from work orders the crab cakes when we go. They used to be really good but it seems like more and more filler gets added each time so there's been some question as to whether we should look elsewhere for coworker birthday lunches. The service is usually pretty mediocre. I'm not sure if they don't really staff lunch very well or what but it seems the bartender is always having to wait on us from across the restaurant. The few times I've been for dinner it hasn't been much better so I don't know. This place works because it's close to work but it's nothing to write home about.

Confusing entrance, no hostess. Took a little while to be seated on a non busy day. Great atmosphere. Love sitting by the fire or next to the window to see the beautiful lake views. Great for a small family or a big party, plenty of room. Also, kid friendly...even for children that don't like to stay seated. Kids meals are large portions for kids! Staff could be a bit more knowledgeable about the beers available, the types of beer and be able to make suggestions. Crab dip in a bread bowl is one of the main reasons we come! So delicious there is never a piece of anything left. Comes in a bread bowl with tortilla chips and pita slices to dip. YUM! Entrees are just ok. Sandwiches are good but full entrees are just average. We will go back.

Just ok. Waitress who sat us, Sara, was rude. Was nice to sit outside but the tables are very cheap and wobbly. Crab dip and steamed shrimp appetizers were good. The shrimp were large. Crab bisque was not all that. Our steaks were not cooked properly and we had to send them back. Steak was very bland.

We chose this restaurant after searching for best restaurants in Dover, DE. We were greatly disappointed in Fraizers. The lake view was a small pond, although the outdoor patio was a nicer atmosphere than inside. The waiter brought us the wrong beer, and after agreeing to keep them he actually charged us the higher price for the mistake. The 'must have' Cream of Crab and Shrimp Soup was microwaved and stuffed with bread to thicken. The recommended mahi mahi vera cruz tasted frozen, not fresh, and the steak fajitas had no flavor. The service was slow and the waiter sent the out to rectify the error in the beer charge. If this is the best Dover has to offer we do not need to get off the highway to eat there.

I regret not knowing about this place sooner! This is now my favorite place in Dover because of the vibrant atmosphere, live music, fairly priced drinks ($4-$8), and delicious food. I ordered the Crabby Nachos. Although it took about 20 minutes to arrive, it was worth the wait. They have a wide selection of seafood, burgers, soups, salads, and sandwiches on the menu. I am definitely coming back to keep trying more of their food, which is moderately priced. When we arrived on a Friday at about 8pm, the outdoor seating area was already closed off, which was unfortunate, but I can imagine that the view of the lake would be beautiful during the day time. Frazer's is located next to the post office, so the large parking lot shares space with a bunch of USPS trucks, which I thought was unique and funny.

Came back on a Wednesday to play trivia, great job on redoing the interior, our server was excellent. After some trepidation, I ordered a beer from the still extensive draft list; it was great! The tap lines have been cleared and it tasted great. Buffalo chicken wrap was well done as well. This is a complete turn around, I will be back!

Only go for lunch and never disappointed with food and service. Don't want to go in the evening when the bar scene is in full swing. Suggest the wait staff change their attire. The all black tights look a little trashy.

I have tried this place numerous times but this was the last straw...literally. My friend ordered a Blue Moon draft and it was flat, I tasted it and agreed so we politely asked for another beer-this time in a bottle. The server was very nice and took care of it right away. However, a couple minutes later a manager (? Assuming he didn't identify himself)...came out with her beer and a straw and stirred it saying "this isn't flat, it wouldn't get a head when I stirred it if it was. You must not like it." Why was this necessary? I am not sure, flat or not we have both had blue moons before and this was not good. Another time, this was more than a year ago a group of us ordered crab dip. The dip came out we tasted it, it tasted like cheese. We stirred it and didn't see a single piece of crab. So we politely asked to send it back. The manager came out, put is hands on the table and leaned over and said "I hear you have a problem with our crab dip". We explained the issue, no other food had a problem and then he proceeded to give ratios of the cheese to crab in the recipe. Guess what? I do not care about the recipe, I do t know if it was a bad batch, someone didn't stir before serving, etc. but here's the deal- it sucked. The pros are a pretty view on a lake with outside seating and the bottled beer. Food is average ( as long as you don't get the crab dip), and it takes a while to get it so don't be in a rush.

Staple of the Dover happy hour scene. Here's the playbook: Head over for the $1.25 happy hour beers on Friday, sit outside on the porch and enjoy the lake, then continue the tour de Dover Happy Hour by heading on over to Smithers for their happy hour buffet. You can have a great start to the evening for like $10 bucks. This is definitely a Dover happy hour veteran move.

Came here with some colleagues after a long work day and was pleasantly surprised. It strikes me as a place for old people, which it still may be, ha, but I was happy. Happy Hour goes until 7pm--$1.25 Yuengling drafts--win! Also, if you order a round or even two towards the end of HH, and you're not done with your drinks, they will deliver 'em after 7pm so your tables not full or so you don't look like a bunch of alcoholics. They also do an array of $4.95 sandwiches that come w/ fries and some other options. It was SO cheap, I thought it was only a lunch special, but it's all night every night. Can't beat it. Wings were pretty tasty too although "hot" weren't really hot at all.

Three person discussion about who would seat us, no sign for entrance, mushy crab cakes, sour fruit/mushy, slow service. Blah.

Formerly the Lobby House Restaurant & Bar, Fraizer's patio offers the same views of Silver Lake. It's a great place to enjoy lunch on a sunny afternoon or enjoy live music during happy hour. The BF and I went with his parents for lunch on Saturday afternoon [07.03.2010]. We arrived at 11:30 thinking it might not have been open because of the empty parking lot. Lucky for us, they were open, but just a little dead due to the holiday weekend. Atmosphere: Though empty at the time, I imagine on a busy night, the atmosphere would be typical of a bar and grill-type place -- beer specials, baskets of burgers and fries being passed around, ESPN playing on the TVs... Outside on the patio, you can enjoy a beautiful view of Silver Lake while watching a game on the 3 or 4 TVs mounted outside. The patio is divided into a covered area and an uncovered area. Each of the uncovered tables has an umbrella so you'll have plenty of shade wherever you sit. You might even encounter a couple hungry friends as we did -- a mallard and his girlfriend. Service: Though we were the only ones in the restaurant, our server was incredibly friendly and was very prompt. She made great suggestions and reassured us of how good our choices were. Food: I hope it was just because of the holiday weekend that this place was empty on a Saturday afternoon. Otherwise, people in Dover are missing out on really good food at really reasonable prices. The four of us ended up with a total bill of $45 for one appetizer, four sandwiches, and a coffee. The crab dip appetizer is highly recommended. It was served in a bread bowl that we completely devoured! It is also served with tortilla chips and pita bread. My only complaint was the pita would have been better if they were warmed up. Other than that, it was a great starter. Yum. I had the Crab Cake sandwich was probably the best crab cake sandwich I have ever had. Most crab cakes are so full of filler that you lose a lot of the crab taste. This crab cake was 99% crab meat. I honestly don't know what held it together. It was absolutely scrumptious. What a great deal for $10.25. As your side, I would definitely recommend the fries. They were so deliciously crispy and not at all greasy. A little sprinkle of Old Bay would have made them irresistable. All in all, a very good meal and very entertaining thanks to our ducky friends.
