This was my first time having fresh, warm, hand dipped donuts and wow wow whoa...I won't be able to have a donut from a chain spot again. The choice of glazes and toppings can be overwhelming. I decided to play it safe with the peppermint patty and it was delicious. The husband had the chocolate/peanut combo & that was equally delicious. There is also a self serve coffee bar, which had a surprising variety of choices and was also good quality. Definitely worth checking this spot out!
Was so so sad when this place closed in Rockville town center - so was super excited when we found one in rehobeth! Hard to beat a delicious line up of hot, fresh donuts that are topped while you wait. We had our old favorites - the ms prunella (mixed berry glaze with cinnamon sugar) and the blueberry hill (blueberry glaze and powdered sugar), which looks unnaturally blue but is very delicious and fruity! Our friends had the banana nut bread (banana glaze, cinnamon sugar and peanuts). All three donuts were awesome - melt in your mouth and really too sweet for early in the morning, but that didn't stop us and the many people in line out the door. Would highly recommend this place!
We were down for a long beach weekend and decided to check this place out, and man am I glad we did. We ended up going back the next day too! Donuts are made hot and fresh, and fast! Coffee is excellent too. You can get an infinite number of combinations, but the salted caramel one was probably the best donut I've ever had. If it wasn't hundreds of miles away for me, I'd be there every weekend!!

If you want a restaurant at the beach with amazing food, but even better beer, Gary's is the way to go. So many beers, knowledgeable staff, and one hell of a Reuben sandwich!
Gary's is a dive bar where you can get some pretty decent grub. The jerk? pork tacos were ok but needed more kick. My group enjoyed their eggplant fries, turkey burger and crab cake sandwich. Service was friendly if not a tad slow. The (music) bass is overdriven such that you can't have a conversation without yelling or tell what song is playing. Upon leaving we found out that they had outdoor seating for the less raucous diners.
Just stopped in for some beers. Great selection of craft beers and the bartender was very knowledgable and enthusiastic about beer. Fun time.

Awesome place for quick breakfast to take to the beach. We go every time in Dewey before we head to the beach with our dogs. coffee with every meal and great egg sandwiches. They also always have water out for the pups. Quick service, good food, good coffee. What more can you ask for?
Dropped by Sharky's while walking my dog in Dewey Beach and had a milkshake (black & white). It was fantastic. My dog was very welcome here and the owner was a really nice guy. Their food looked really good as well but the milkshake was more than enough to fill me so I will have to try out their food the next time I stop in.
Sharkey's seems like an institution/hole-in-the wall here in Dewey, and I must say they delivered some tasty Cubano sandwiches on our breakfast run before heading to the beach. The Cubano was delicious, very tender slices of pork, ham, and cheese, on a bun that had the texture and firmness that I grew accustomed to on my weekend trips to Miami. We also tried the breakfast sandwich ($5.75) which was a grilled egg, cheese, and choice of sausage, ham, or bacon. I opted for bacon on an english muffin and it was a McMuffin on steroids. Least I not forget they serve free coffee for patrons! I myself am a huge coffee snob and instead strolled over to the convenience store across the street to get a cup of Green Mountain dark roast Espresso blend, but for those who don't mind standard run-of-the-mill coffee, then you'll save yourself $3. Cheap, tasty, plenty of seating on their patio, and free coffee...what more could one ask for? Thumbs up.

I can only comment on the drinks... My friends and I hit up Nalu after leaving the Rudder and proceded to order Mai Tai's which I swear were 90% liquor with a splash of color/flavor. It did what I needed it to do. Dunzo.
I like this joint. Just wish there was some more authentic Hawaiian on the menu. Plate lunch needs one extra item as well.
So many restaurant experiences depend on day and situation. I cannot comment on the consistency of this place, as I was only passing through after a long weekend surfing in Penelopen, but I would definitely return. The food was delicious! I ordered the fish tacos and a salad (tacos bueno, salad so so). They were the best fish tacos I've had outside of California. Also, the waitress had had a long weekend, but was totally helpful and friendly.

Pretty good salads. It is on the expensive side but really the only place to pick up some greens in Dewey. They also allow you to "build your own" which is great.
You DONT RECYCLE!!! WTF? I was happy to get a good salad from these friendly people. But they could drop their prices if they used re-useable dishes. During August, I expect some hiccups with service but... My wife couldn't find any salt. We checked each table and not one shaker had a grain of salt. I asked one of the many young workers milling about behind the counter where I may get some salt. She told me, of course, to try using a shaker. Thank you so much...I tried that already...(stare...sigh). "OK, I'll bring you some." Well she did, bless her heart, but by that time we had finished. There are many new salad places springing up across the nation. Too bad Dewey is still catching up, but it would behoove these salad builders to do some research. They could learn a lot about expediting from a single visit to just one of these places. They are a bit slow and appeared confused. I would stop in for a salad again as long as I was ready to wait for it. And I would bring my own bowl. I asked them where to recycle the plastic tub they serve their salads in and the response was "Oh, we just put them in the trash." Hmmmm....
Great place to grab a salad to go or eat-in. This is in that yellow building with the arches nut on the side street. The salads were tasty and fresh. We enjoyed a Cobb and a lighthouse shrimp. It was a fast lunch without the wait for service. You can get a salad or wrap from the menu or create your own. If you really need a drink, they sell cans of beer for $3 all day long.

Great breakfast a little pricy but great food and service
This was our go to for a quick diner type of breakfast. Come here for the massive omelettes or the plate sized pancakes. The breakfast potatoes that come with the egg dishes are tasty! Decent coffee and diner prices. The service is efficient and pleasant.
A good breakfast stop on our way down to the beach... The breakfast was good. A basic egg sandwich and some good omlettes, the service was a little slow and I often had an empty coffee mug which is often annoying.

It's a local bar with good food and an aesthetic that makes you feel welcome. The bartenders here are fantastic. They know how to make sure you have a good time. It was perfect for my wife and I; both of us are in our early thirties, to get away from the insanity of other bars in the area. I actually felt appreciated rather than a burden.
Sooooo, where do I begin? I took everyone's recommendation and got the crab balls. Omigawd!! They really are 95% crab! The server was amazing and took excellent care of us! Most of us shared appetizers and there were definitely no complaints! Whatever kind of tots you order, you will not be disappointed! My friend was raving about the pulled pork and the pork quesadilla had an awesome bite to it. The best part, I feel, is their cocktail sauce! It's not the ketchupy stuff you buy at the store! Much of it was horseradish which gives it that kick! I even started dunking my crab tots in it! I hope we come back before the weekend is out!
Great selection of craft brews on tap. Fish tacos are very tasty, the chipotle mayo is very good. The BBQ is sweet but tasty. Good soups. Who knew that you could make a crab and scrapple soup? TVs for sports viewing. Casual vibe.

Saw the menu and looking to get carry out, because we had our pup with us. No problem! Everyone at the bar and the tables welcomed us in to have dinner and drinks inside. Very cozy place. The service was excellent and the staff made you feel welcome. Very good vibe! The crab cakes and all the food choices were sumptuous. Bailey also got a bowl of water. If we end up buying a place in Dewey, we will be regulars here. Family managed restaurants seem to have better food and service. We will be back!
Attended brunch here with a group of nine girls for our last meal in Dewey Beach over 4th of July weekend. The service was terrible, place seemed dirty and the breakfast burrito was cold, small and had no flavor. We were only able to use two credit cards to split the bill and could only order off of the breakfast menu (could not order lunch). Overpriced for bad quality bar food. Woody's down the street was a way better dining experience!
Bad food and the service was ok. Will not be going back. I suggest you go for the drinks and skip the food. Also, stay away from the crab soup. Tasted like salt water.

Who screws up wings? And no, I'm not trying to be a smart ass. Check them out! ;-)
Donuts are nice and fresh. The wait was long because it was just the owner and he makes one donut at a time. Good coffee.
An alternative place for late night eats after the bars closes compared to all of the many pizza places. Get there right before the last call as the lines and the wait is so long. Averages 20 minutes to get wings once ordered. Wings are on the smaller side and fried very crispy. I don't know how I can eat these wings sober though. It's the only place in Dewey that I can think of that has wings. Cash only!

Northbeach Restaurant

Dewey Beach, 19971
Reviews:
Stopped in here a few weeks ago with Sherry J due to the Starboard line being way out of control. This place was taking in some of the overflow. I prefer to not have to wait an hour or use a port o potty to use the restroom. Our intention was 1 drink and then hit the beach to watch the running of the bull. We never made it out. 6 Dewey Devils later we staggered on out! They are huge and only 7.00 and made with 151! I revisited North Beach after hearing of 1.00 Dewey Devils on Tuesday. This was not hearsay! All day and all night! I could have sat here all day but due to being on a bike we had one each, hit another location and stopped for one on the ride back to Rehoboth. I now am counting the days until I can get there on another Tuesday! The Bf also ordered the piggly wiggly which was a pulled pork cheese steak with jalapenos and onions and green peppers. All sounds fine and dandy but when you see the spinning roasted pig on the way in the appetite for pork changes. Then when you see a sign that says "Pig on the spit today was John.....RIP", things really change. But once it came out we blocked out poor John. It was good but not great. Bread got soggy fast and it was NC style which I like but the BF wasn't a big fan.
They advertise they roast a pig every day so we went for pulled pork sandwich. It was good, tender, fresh with tomato-based BBQ sauce. Not a fancy meal - chips, pickle, bricohe roll- but tasty. The waitstaff was attentive. The iced tea not so great. Note to self: inquire as to whether iced-tea is brewed before ordering. We stayed and listened to a singer until 9, no cover. Weekends may be a different story but during the week it's a pleasant place to eat with reasonable food.
Ended up here just before sunset (thought it was cool that they had the sunset time posted out by the water, where the view is spectacular), and liked it better than any of the other DB watering holes I've been to. Slower paced, no soused college kids frantically grinding on each other, good DJ, great view. Not much of a beer selection, though.
