Don't listen to the 1 star reviews I have been a customer for years and the staff here are always friendly even when you get some of the trashy guest. Their pizza and cheesesteaks are great. The baked raviolis are also great. I haven't had a bad dish in this establishment and will be a customer for many years to come.

Thank you Bear Yelpers. Because of you we have found our go to place for pizza and cheese steaks. We were in Bear long enough to eat twice, once for pizza on our way to White Clay State Park and once for family cheese steak night. My brother in law finally had a cheese steak that was large enough with your 14 inch large and Italian friend, Mike, said the Sicilian pizza was perfect. My broccoli pizza was really good and felt like a healthy choice. We all thought the flavor of the cheese steaks beat the local chains hands down. And your fries are pretty good as well. It seems everything on the menu is good as I saw one of everything being made and taken home. A really nice find.

Staff is very friendly and food comes out fast. Prices are cheap for the quality you receive from an old school pizza shop.

We live nearby & love to order out from here. They are more than just a pizza shop. If you like old fashioned style pizza you will love it! The lasagna, mozzarella sticks, burgers, fries & cheesesteaks are delicious too.

Great food and friendly people. Best buffalo chicken cheesesteak I've ever had. Highly recommend it.

The food is good and yummy but not rememberable or special. The staff is very very nice and polite. Very affordable and reasonable. Nothing on the menu really stands out. A really nice spot for kids to pickup a slice after school. Or for you to satisfy your craving for pizza on the run.

We happened upon this pizza/Italian place when we were in the area . Place did not have much ambiance- and it seemed like the staff focused on taking your order and moving you through the line. But the food was very good. We had an antipasto salad and spaghetti with meat, and both of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. If we lived in the area, we could see ourselves visiting often. We were glad we ate here - well worth the stop!

The best Pizza place around. We've been going here for years, 10 to be exact. Whenever we order pizza-we get it here. Sauce is the best!!!

Either I'm really hungry or this is good pizza! Glad to be able to run in and choose a slice -- which they oven heat quickly -- or order a full pizza or sub. Crust is thin, and I'm glad about that. I'll be back if I'm in this area again at lunchtime!

Probably the best pizza in the area. I watched as my large pizza was made, start to finish, within 15 minutes. Plenty of cheese without much grease. The tomato sauce has the right level of sweetness and tanginess; I was less impressed with the white pizza I tried. The staff are friendly, and I get the sense that there are a lot of regular customers. One cook knew by name several of the people who came in. By the way, this is not Italian-style pizza! Whichever other reviewer said that bit about "pizza made by real Italians" doesn't know what they're talking about. The guy tossing my dough was clearly of Central or South American descent -- and very skilled, don't get me wrong. All I've tried is their pizza, but the rest of the menu is extensive: sandwiches, pastas, salads.

This place is a joke. I just tried ordering a cheese steak with wiz on it...and the kid on the phone refused to do so. They have the cheese there for cheese fries so why the big deal to plop some on a steak? Charge me more, idc, but to just tell me "No, just put American on it." Lol I have a picky bf who doesn't like American. Good thing Mario's came to the rescue with there excellent cheese and btw Riviera doesn't even offer delivery. Boo for you guys!

My fiance and I happened to stumble upon this place after meeting with our real estate agent located next door to the shop. I was really in a mood for a cheese steak but he wanted pizza instead so we stopped in here because they have both. My cheese steak was amazing! I love how they don't lump dry meat into bread then dump melted cheese on top. They actually seem to mix the cheese and meat together and put whatever toppings you want on it (I happen to love pickles on my cheese steaks). My fiance says he pizza was really good, not greasy or bland. It was so good that we went in the next day too for more. The staff was really friendly too. We ate there at least once a week for about a month and a half before we bought our house and moved to Middletown. When I still worked in Newark and would pass it on the way home I'd occasionally pick up dinner but now since I work in Elkton, it's kind of a drive out of the way... But I will drive out of my way just for their cheese steaks!

I didn't actually get to stop by the place, but was treated to take out pizza from them. Heard from friends that the facility is clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The pizza was a normal size, not gigantic or small. The crust was crisp and thin with a soft center. Has a nice oven baked taste and texture to it. The tomato sauce was fairly standard. Mushrooms tasted like they came from a can, but no metallic taste, but a bit one dimensional. The white pizza with mozzarella, spinach, and garlic was the start of the order. mozzarella was creamy, soft, and warm. It was not separated and oily at all. The spinach was soft and easily chewed, not stringy or fibrous. A mild garlic flavor permeated the pizza without being overpowering or harsh. Instead it was a mild nutty and clean garlic taste. Overall good pizza, the white was better then the standard. I have had some that were better, but I have had many that were worse.

Pizza is the best in Delaware I have had. Not a place to visit for ambiance but the food is always excellent.

When we moved here one of the first orders of business was to find a great local pizza alternative to all the chains in the area. Turns out, we didn't have to look too far before we found this gem! Sure, it's more expensive than a chain, but it's so worth it! Their regular level of cheese is like everyone else's "extra cheese" and the crust is always crisp on the edges, chewy in the middle. My current favorite topping is spinach with ricotta cheese; they are smart enough to steam the fresh baby spinach before putting it on the pizza, so it retains its flavor without drying out. Small grievance, they used canned mushrooms (how hard is it to slice fresh?) and the meatballs have a weird flavor, but other than that I have yet to find a combination of toppings I don't like.

We've been going here for about 6 or 7 years now. Their pizza is good, but their cheesesteaks are awesome! The staff is very friendly. I haven't had anything on the menu that wasn't good, and I don't think their prices have changed at all over the past few years which is also a plus.

A great place to eat real pizza. I have not had a bad meal there yet. A real Italian person will make your pizza, not the next person to shove out in a pizza like oven.

One of the BEST tastes of home! My favorite is their cheesesteak special. You can't find a better deal for so much Italian goodness! And Frankie the pizza guy, if he is still flipping the dough is unlike any other in the biz. Great service! Huge portions! Incredible value!

Everything they make is awesome! Eat here atleast two times a week! Only thing I would like is some parm cheese...

Way more then just pizza! Everything I've gotten there has been delicious. White pizza and their buffalo chicken cheesesteak are out of this world!

If you want Real Pizza then Riviera is your place! It doesn't get the respect it deserves. My friends from NYC will only get pizza from there when they come to visit. The staff is great, prices are great for the quality of pizza they turn out. They also have great salads, cheesesteaks, and other Italian specialities; but, the place is all about the pizza!
