    We ordered the hot wings for appetizer. It was great. Crispy on the skin and still juicy inside and also the right hot. Spicy duck laab is really yummy with authentic taste. The service is great but I just wish they put prices on the menu.

    I remember coming here as a kid with my Cambodian family to enjoy authentic Cambodian food and Tommy Knockers cream soda. Coming back over a decade later, interior looks exactly the same. Who knew my favorite restaurant was in a rundown, dirty looking strip mall? The details you miss as a kid... No matter, the food is just as good as I remember. I had noodles that are extraordinarily like my mother's, which is a feat in itself. Filling portions, made fresh to order, and the service is good. And best of all they still have Tommy Knocker cream sodas :)

    Honestly the only reason I come here is for their pad thai! I've tried many other restaurants and this is hands down my favorite place to order this dish. Like any good Thai restaurant, they offer this dish in their many varieties of spice. I have a sensitive spice palette so I always get their pad Thai with no spice (I know I'm weak sauce) because I've tried their mild and hot, way too hot for me. Not for my fiancée tho who loves spice! His go-to food at this restaurant is their spicy papaya and the spicier, the better according to him. Their pad Thai can be ordered in a few different ways, either chicken, beef, or a combination of both plus shrimp. Usually I get the combo but this last time I came in, I just ordered the chicken. The price has increased slightly in the past few years, but I think it's still worth it. My favorite thing about this dish is that it is not dripping in sauce but the noodles are soaked in the right amount making it not dry. I love the array of flavors that my taste palette gets when I eat this dish. It's best to dump the whole sauce they provide over your noodles and squeeze the lime, then mix it up since there is an egg on top. My mouth is drooling thinking about this dish lol. Other than Thai, this restaurant also sells Cambodian, Laos, and American dishes. I have had other dishes here before and they're decent as well. But seriously the only reason I come here like I said, is for their pad Thai.

    Someone told us to give this place a try for their wings, so we finally got here last week. We arrived at 8:15 and they close at 9, but didn't mind that we were coming in late and others came in after us. So, the menu is interesting... all photos, no prices! How can a restaurant have a menu with no prices? We got 2 types of wings, the Chinese BBQ and another type I can't recall what it was called... I liked the BBQ better anyways. I do look forward to our next visit and try other items. We saw another table eating some kind of soup with meats from a table top hot plate. The décor is pretty bad, so just don't look around that much.

    The giant menu with no prices bears additional scrutiny here. When I read reviews about this place, I thought, "It's Asian,how pricey could it get?" I'll tell you, PRETTY PRICEY. $40 worth of pricey for lunch, mainly because we had no idea what we were paying until the bill came. $11.60 for the Spicy Duck Larb, which, for that price, did not blow my skirt up at all, and after a few generous squirts of the watered down sriracha, barely approached spicy. And on, and so on. If I lived near here, I'd probably settle on one or two things that were good that I knew what they cost, and come get take-out occasionally. But I won't be driving over here from Brighton. Sometimes quirky and authentic is worth a drive, this place wasn't.

    They definitely have good wings. The idea of coming back here for Chinese food is enough to drain the color from my face. In addition to the wings I am sure there is something good to eat here, I just couldn't find it. The rushed nature of the service didn't help. The "you know what you want?" Initial question upon sitting down was very abrasive and we certainly felt like we had to hurry up and order. The entire menu is in pictures, which is far less helpful than you would expect. The pictures are arranged in a random order making for a spontaneous game of concentration trying to find a dish and remember what you want. The food came out very quickly after ordering, but I had serious concerns that is was reheated. I had come hoping to try the pork belly and bok choy. I regret ordering it almost as much as I regret eating it. The pork belly was rubbery and Luke warm. The bok choy was under cooked and also luke warm. We also ordered the sautéed udon dish that appears on the first page. If you can imagine over cooked udon with really under cooked asparagus with hot chili sauce dumped on top with no other flavor, then you can experience the same disappointment we did. Make sure you soak your mouth in MSG as this is their go to flavoring, even more than salt and pepper. My stomach hasn't returned so much food in such a short time in a long time. The interior is definitely a mix of eclectic and dusty. There were several take out orders placed while we were there. Guess few are interested in dining in. It is definitely not an inviting place to spend time in. I have been told by several people that woody's is a hidden gem of Asian cuisine. With their hurried treatment and this severely underwhelming experience I doubt I will ever find out if what i was told by friends could possibly be true.

    I discovered this place back in high school and I been coming here since. My family is also a big fan of this place. Every now and then we reserved a large portion of the restaurant for our family gathering. The food selection here is endless. They have a big binder for their menu and everything item in it has a corresponding picture so you know exactly what you are getting. Woody's serve many types of Asian cuisine (Cambodian, Laotian, Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese) and they also serve American dishes as well. I never opt for any of those because the Asian dishes are authentic and amazing!!! You seriously cannot go wrong with any of their items. My family loves the papaya salad, steamed fish, combination lad na, beef waterfall, and their hot pot. Also, their thai teas are soooo good; freshly made and not from a bottle. Their staff are always friendly and attentive as well. Besides their decor, the bad thing about this place is there are no prices for the food in their menu.

    It's a good place for authentic old-style Asian (Lao, Thai and Cambodian) food. I only come here with my parents when they agree to actually go out and eat. Today we got the whole fry fish in line sauce, sticky rice, a pound of hot wings and a large bowl of pho. My parents loved everything including the hot wings.

    Don't eat here. Read on for more. My daughter had her first day at preschool today. As a surprise I decided to take my two girls out for Chinese food. Since Woody's Wings is just down the street we decided to go there. Big mistake. I ordered Chicken lo Mein, Spicy Chicken Stir-Fry, and steamed dumplings. I received Chicken CHOW Mein, Spicy Chicken Stir-fry, and RAW steamed dumplings. Unfortunately my daughters have an egg allergy, there goes the chow mein (any yes I ask about every ingredient when we eat out) , so I opted to give them dumplings and something from the fridge. Only the dumplings were raw. Not totally raw uncooked out of the fridge raw, but enough that I'm neither eating that or giving to my children. So now I am down to Spicy food to give my girls. The chicken was spicy enough for my taste, but way too spicy for a 1.5 and 4 year old who are a mix of Irish and Norwegian. I'm not the type of father to chow down on Chinese food while my daughters eat leftovers, so basically we got nothing to eat from them. I tried to call for a refund but was told no refund, I could have a credit for the next time. No way would I eat here again. So now I get to deal with the card company. Good luck with the stomach bugs if you decide to eat here. I posted a photo so all can see the raw dumplings we were served.

    I really think it would be best if they changed the name, because it's a so popular for the southeast Asians and known for the Cambodian, Laos, Thai, Vietnamese food. Location - wish it was in Denver, it's in a ghetto strip mall up north, boo! Decor - really casual, traditional, bland... but I come for the food! Besides, it has a homey feel because all the regulars eat there as if it's a home cooked meal with family. Food - phenomenal if you like Thai/Cambodian food. VERY SPICY. Oh, and be ready for some funny smells (fermented fish smells)... very authentic. Love the Laos style (you can do Thai also) papaya salad, also love the deep friend fish with lime sauce, try the fried rice with shrimp paste, water spinach (onchoy) with crispy pork. I should have written this review a while ago but I've been busy so I don't remember all the food I've had there, but I do know I'm never disappointed. And yes, the menu is like a phone book... it's exhausting looking through it.

    You wouldn't know this was an Asian restaurant if you weren't in 'the know' but every Asian person in Denver knows this place is legit. Real authentic Asian food, none of that commercial Americanized stuff. The menu is huge and someone who doesn't frequent this place regularly would get lost and not know what to order. Even with all the pictures, one wouldn't be able to narrow down what to get. The normal meal consists of papaya salad, waterfall beef larb, beef lad na and of course, wings. Then there are always 2 or 3 more random items we feel the need to add on just because we saw it in the menu. We always leave here stuffed and waiting to come back the next time to eat something else we just saw on the menu. Don't let appearances or location fool you - the food is gooooood. Oh and cheap beer and wine! You'll need it to wash down the spiciness of the food.

    This place has really amazing "United Asian" food like Thai, Cambodian, Chinese and Vietnamese.... and they have amazing wings! I usually get my wings plain with soy sauce and chili oil here. So delicious, try it without the sauce and make your own on the table. Their fries and fried zucchinis are really good too! The menu is overwhelming if you have never been here before. It's literally a book but good thing there are pictures to help guide me. My favorite of their Asian dishes are - Hot Pot Stew (shrimp, squid, fish cake, snap pea and amazing fried tofu stew in a sauce.) This is one of my favorite. Green Bean with either chicken or pork any sauce that they do. Fried Rice of any combination and my favorite is their Thai Fried Rice, it's got tomatoes and onions. So delicious! Fried whole fish, only had the Thai style with lime... Sticky rice... Cambodian Lak Lok? I think that's the spelling, it's steak cubes with lime dipping sauce, it's soooo awesome! I come here a lot and I can always find something different but I always ended up with one of those things above... and always order the wings. The price is super reasonable here!!

    If you go here for the wings, you are wrong. But don't get me wrong, the wings here are fine. The "bread and butter" here is actually the rest of the menu. This is the only place that I know of that serves Cambodian and food and it's delicious. It may be hard to decide what to order as the menu is the size of a short novel. So my best suggestion is to try the Beef Waterfall as I'm confident most will like it. Make sure to try other items as I personally have not been disappointed yet.

    This place is out of the way from pretty much anywhere, its in a less then desirable strip mall, and doesn't offer much by the way of ambiance. Now that we got that out of the way... this place has awesome food you will not find anywhere else in Denver. If you like real Thai food, you'll probably like the food here (mainly from Laos, Thailand's close culinary neighbor). Oh yeah, and they have great wings too. Notable items: try the Coconut Water. They actually put pieces of young coconut in with it. My girlfriend loves it. There is also this amazing deconstructed fried rice dish, that unfortunately I don't know the name of because we always order by pointing at the picture. I haven't had a bad dish here, so be adventurous and enjoy!

    I ate here once several years ago and honestly thought the food was forgettable. So much so that I forgot to write a review about the experience I guess. I knew about the place for a lot of years because of the now sadly defunct Palermo Pizza joint that was next door that we used to go to often. Well because of a friend of mine always posting outrageous pictures of the food he ate here I was entranced into returning. I think what threw me initially (and what might perplex other new customers) is the way the menu is organized... or actually disorganized. Pictures may be worth a 1000 words but none can deny the value of a few carefully chosen words (and possibly prices?) in a well organized menu. I recall on my first trip that I resorted to asking the waitress for recommendations which usually can work barring communication problems but I think she rec'd dishes commonly liked by people of the meat and potatoes school of taste? On this visit, I had in mind trying the dishes my friend had recently shared on FB and I was fairly successful (2 out of 3) but that shouldn't be the norm. The pork belly with baby bok choy was a winner. The crispy chicken was also pretty good but if you've ever had a great chinese style crispy fried chicken you know all about the crispy skin, tons of flavor, and maybe the most important moist meat within. The third dish was interesting. A chicken dish (not sure of the chicken pieces but I'm pretty sure it was chopped bone in chicken thigh) with an interesting combination of green peppercorns, basil?, well several other dried herbs. and green and red bell pepper. It was tasty but next time I'll know to go with hot as opposed to medium because the heat was way short of being what I would consider mild. Yeah, the place could use a face lift and yeah front of house cleanliness can be an indication of back of house but I'm okay with slightly sketchy if the food is worth the risk. To quote an old Chinese saying, " If it doesn't kill you, it makes you stronger".

    That so much could be encapsulated in "N Things," I never knew. I came here with some friends who couldn't believe I'd never been, and after just one visit, I share their sentiment. It's not exactly very close for me, so it's understandable, but damn, what a quirky, delicious little spot. The exterior is confusing bordering on suspicious with a sign that accurately reflects Woody's schizophrenic menu. Is it Vietnamese? Is it Thai? Is it just a good wing joint? Amazingly, it is ALL OF THOSE THINGS. We ordered pad see ew, wings, something something lab (I let my friends guide me), and...one other dish. Every item was fresh, hot, and generously portioned. There wasn't a miss in the bunch and my only regret was not having a bigger stomach. Another little perk that is hardly even advertised: You get a $1.50 beer with the order of an entree, which is even more solid considering many of them are imports. Pretty sure it's just a single beer, but hey, I don't mind. I usually try to wait until a second visit with my 5 star reviews, but I can say without a doubt that the few dishes I tried would bring me back even if their incredibly deep menu didn't.

    Loved the Thai Peanut Curry Wings (or whatever they are). Hated the huge menu with no prices. But loved the fact it was jammed packed with families having feasts. This is a place best explored with others who can share dishes, as there's too much to try on one's own or in one sitting.

    I was sooo excited to come across Cambodian food while in Denver. We ordered our favorites: kathew, meekathung, egg rolls and spring rolls. The springs rolls were delicious and plump. I was a bit disappointed with my meekathung due to the cheap beef that was used and a lack of flavor in the gravy sauce. My friend's kathew wasn't too flavorful so she drowned it in hot sauce, hoison and lime. Overall it was an average experience. Woody's does a little too much of everything from Cambodian to Thai to Chinese and even American food (yes they serve burgers and fries). I think Woody should focus on perfecting one cuisine before serving a variety. As an fyi, this place has carpet which is weird for a restaurant.

    One of our favorite eateries in Denver, not just for its surprise factor (it's a funky hole-in-the-wall in a tired strip mall in a "transitional" neighborhood), but for the fantastic food and truly amazing huge variety of its enormous book of a menu. I see some low ratings, and have to assume they're by timid suburbanites or phony hipsters who are offended by hole-in-the-wall griminess and character (it ain't dirty here even though it is funky and looks working class). If you're a member of the 1% and don't appreciate ethnic cuisine and culture, stay away. What you get is 1) Some frickin' tasty crispy Buffalo wings, which is how this place started. They're still available to order, decades later, on the last page of the huge menu book and on the back wall; and 2) an incredible gateway into the cuisines of the Laotian, Hmong and Cambodian communities, with dishes from Thailand and Vietnam, and for weenies who are in th wrong place, some "Chinese" and Japanesey" stuff like eggrolls and "teriyaki" this-or-that. It's unique. We've taken out of town visitors who are blown away by the character and quality of this Woody's franchise. We always get some wings, the Cambodian spicy soup (with tripe, better known in Mexican dishes as menudo), the Waterfall Beef, the spectacular Whole Fish with Lime Sauce, and the delicious Papaya Salad. Lots of the food is spicy, some of the dishes are available or are already gluten free, and the servings are generous (as in huge). Don't go if you're not adventurous, and do't go if you're just looking for wings (it's a waste of the limited seating, unless you order your wings to go). Don't go if you're queasy about bus tubs sitting on seats or tables for a bit while things are still being cleaned up from previous diners' pigout. Seriously, this is a place for open-minded Asian Americans and serious, curious diners of all races. One of the best places to eat in Denver, period.

    Always consistent with their dishes. Fridays are busy so plan accordingly. The variety of dishes makes it a simple choice if you need options. The many SE Asian dishes along with your typical wings fare make Woody's a pretty unique place. Go and try the dishes beyond the wings and Chinese dishes and you'll keep going back for more. The Beef Waterfall along with the Spicy Duck Laab are a favorite of mine as the lime and pepper add great flavor to the dishes. The Pork Combination Noodles are a good option for Pho lovers who want to try a different take on Noodles. The slightly sweet broth with the pork is a great blend of flavors. Service is friendly and the owners are very cordial. If you want to try different dishes at once then try Woody's. Reasonably priced and best of all it's a foodie adventure with the variety here.

    Thanks to Yelp! We have been using this app from Vegas to Denver to find specialty places like this one! Well aside from Food Networks Triple D places!!! Don't be fooled with the name. This is an Authentic Asian restaurant specializing in Cambodian/Laos menus which we loved. Place is hidden in a very small strip mall. 1. The roasted pork with Chinese Spinach (kangkong to us) sauteed in garlic is heaven. You can choose other vegetables like Bokchoy. 2. Whole deep fried fish (with head yum!) in lime sauce is totally different from all we've tried from Vietnamese fried whole flounder or other Chinese sauce variations in Vegas! My wife can only say it's so refreshing like eating on the beach! It's got mall chunks of asian pepper but not so spicy. 3. The server suggested we tried a "new" food not listed on their 3 inch book of pictures and all I needed to hear was chicken insides and I'm in! It is actually all of the insides of a hen including different sizes of eggs, chicken liver and gizzard, chicken intestines and some meat sauteed in a lot of ginger with some vegetables. A little salty for me but otherwise good. 4. Daughter ordered an Udon noodle with chicken and I liked it but she doesn't and I can tell why because the flavor is totally different from what she's used to. 5. Son ordered the combination fried rice and we all loved it! He did not care for the wings though because we ordered the sauce on the side and maybe because it's bland without the sauce. We were ready to pay around $100 for all of these (because there's no price on the menu) but came out to be a lot less than that which is great! We ended up bringing home a lot and enjoyed eating every last bit the whole week! Wife ended up adding more vegetable to the chicken insides to take our the saltiness and worked out great! We're definitely coming back!

    So I have been going to Woody's since I was a wee tott. I must say that it has become a staple comfort restaurant for me. I LOVE their seafood rice noodle soup (their version of Pho and JUST as delicious if I do say so myself). The service is always fast and friendly and let me tell you, their hot wings are the perfect hangover cure. Nestled in a run down shopping strip off of Lowell, Woody's is definitely a "don't judge a book by it's cover" sorta place. Speaking of covers, the ones on the menu are separated by a good 2 inches of mouth-watering options. I recommend asking your server for guidance through the menu if you are not a Woody's aficionado like myself. They are the perfect spot to stop by whenever one is craving something that tastes like it came from Grandma's kitchen...well maybe not my grandma who is Irish, but you get the idea. Enjoy!

    First time I have been burnt on a yelp reviewed restaurant. This place was a dump and more importantly the food was awful. The orange chicken didn't really taste like orange sauce and the sweet and sour sauce was so bad. It tasted like Catalina salad dressing. This place was a dump in every facet of the word.

    Props to the place that fakes you out. The place, that without yelp, you would imagine is just some random chicken wing restaurant. Until you walk in and see a binder (literally, a binder) full of food. Everything you want from fish sandwiches to the most hardcore laotian dishes. Craving an icee? Don't worry about it, they've got those too. Dishes to get: Eggplant with Pork: nicely sauced, tons of eggplant, lots of pork, solid dish if you're a fan of eggplant Lemongrass spicy chicken curry: Coconut-based curry that is very flavorful. Definite win. Stir Fried Udon: Somehow they even made this dish turn out pretty good as well, even though it's essentially stir fried noodles Deep Fried Chicken Wings: You gotta try the wings if you come here, right? Super fried, large wings/thighs Papaya Salad: This one was alright, but definitely isn't for everyone Quick hits: No prices on their menu, no rhyme to their reason, affordable, large portions, $1.50 beer. Win. I think it'd be impossible to try everything on the menu. Someone prove me wrong.

    I have been going to this restaurant for years. YEARS. Like I was around 10 or 12 years old (excuse my poor memory) and now I am 22 and still coming here. I am a Cambodian-Chinese hybrid and I know what the food is supposed to taste like. I've been to Cambodia, and Woody's is really the closest thing to that experience, and also the closest to my mother's Cambodian cooking (which is nearly IMPOSSIBLE). It's authentic and consistent every time. Sure, the American food here is not the best but only because this restaurant focuses on the Asian aspect. And sure, it may be in a run-down area, but if it were any nicer and in a more public and available spot, you would NEVER get a chance to eat here because it would always be packed. If you rated this place with any less than 4 stars at best, then you need to put your phone down, shut up, and then go to bed because you don't know what the hell you're talking about.

    I would not have ever found Woodys if it were not for yelp. When a search for Thai yielded Woodys Wings and things I thought it was a yelp misfire. How could a wings joint possibly have Thai? The only reason I clicked on it was morbid curiosity. When I started reading the reviews, I thought, wait a minute. This could be something. Very handy to the I70 corridor. 3 min. off of I76. A non-descript store front in a non- descript strip of shops on a non- descript street corner. Inside we were greeted by a restaurant full of 100% Asian foodies munching on huge plates of wonderful looking food. Families, couples, and a few singles all eating stuff you shouldn't find in a wings joint. Now this isn't the Ritz. No high brow 5 star restaurant. It is a 5 star hole in the wall you would be remiss to pass by. The dining area was clean, not cluttered and simply decorated. The menu as stated has no prices. No worries, it is very affordable. The table has everything from fish sauce, chili oil and soy, to red wine vinegar and ketchup. Sorry if it's not your brand and in a packet. Seems to fit the theme of the place. Like I implied, unpretentious. The menu was thick and had pictures. Thai, Lao, Cambodian, American, you name it. Bring in a guinea pig you just might get Peruvian. We stuck with an Asian theme. The & Things of the menu. Spicy papaya salad, fried tofu in dipping sauce, a grilled beef and a waterfall beef. For drinks we got the coconut water. Wow! Little slices of young coconut in a cool and refreshing drink. Nothing I wouldn't get again. All well portioned and fantastic. The larb, whole fish and beef cubes in lime sauce are high on my list for next time. And there will be a next time. Our waitress was Cambodian and very helpful. She explained some ethnic variations I was not familiar with. She helped navigate the 8 or so pages of menu. Asking questions and making suggestions. The bill for 3 people was very reasonable. Fortune cookies came. One didn't have a fortune inside. Oops, is that an omen. Need to be more careful. Hope the fortune cookie gods just messed up and were not trying to make a statement. Side note. Turns out a friend who's Thai wife is very picky about her Thai food has been dragging him here for years with her Thai girlfriend posse. A little slice of home. He is a little mainstream and probably sticks with the steak and buffalo wings.

    This is one of my favorite places to get wings, but they also have a huge range of other Cambodian, Lao and Thai food that will satisfies your taste buds. Woody's Wings N Things is the ideal setting for "hole in the wall." The one thing you must try is the medium papaya salad, it has a great combination between tasty and a kick in the mouth spicy. Just be careful if you are not familiar with Asian spices you can literally burn your tongue off. But they serve a delicious Thai Tea to help with the pain. Secondly, you have to order any of their wings, the most common ones are the crispy buffalo wings which range from mild to "blazing" hot. But my favorite wings are the lemon grass peanut sauce wings, they are fried to perfection and the sauce is amazing to the point you want to take a container home and pour it over a bowl of rice. The staff is a hard working family, they do an excellent job, and they always are very welcoming and helpful even during the busy lunch rush. Anytime someone says they are hungry and have a craving for SE Asian food, I bring them here.

    I guess I just don't get it. I LOVE all kinds of Asian food and spent 5 years living in Hawaii, where I was spoiled rotten with amazing Asian fare. Maybe I just have my standards set too high. After reading the raving reviews I thought I'd take a chance on this place. It's close to home and based on the reviews I was expecting it to quickly become a favorite. Not so much. Yes, I can appreciate a good hole in the wall, but this was extreme. Extreme to the point that I almost couldn't bring myself to order for fear of what the kitchen might look like. Anything like the dining room and I'd be high tailing it outta there. I even watched them seat a fellow diner at a large center table with a dirty, dish filled busser bucket in the next seat. Gross. I decided to suck it up and take a chance, with hopes that all the reviewers weren't high. Not sure who I was kidding. It is CO after all. I played it safe and ordered my "baseline" dish. If I like your pad Thai we're usually in good shape. Unfortunately it was just meh. Not great, not bad. Certainly not outrageously delicious enough to allow me to overlook the absolute filth in the dining room. The other funny thing we noticed is that they water down the sriracha. Never seen that before. If you've got a strong gag reflex, have at it!! I don't think I'll be back.

    NW suburb best kept secret!!! My youngest son & I were having a rare night alone for dinner so we went on the hunt for yummy, cheap eats. I had seen Woody's W&T on several occasions in Yelp and in person. I am super picky about wings. They HAVE to be crispy without being overcooked, there's nothing worse than a soggy wing. Boy did this place get it right. So so crispy but super juicy inside. The meat itself is tender and moist while the sauces add the perfect amount of spice and flavor. I was totally blown away!! The rest of the food was excellent as well including the eggrolls which were the best I have ever had, the beef teriyaki on a stick was full of flavor and very tender, the shrimp was very crispy and not overcooked, my son's combination fried rice was delicious and my hot pepper chicken Thai style was also very good. Our server was extremely friendly and very helpful as well as knowledgeable about the menu items. I was so impressed with the wings that I bought 6 pounds to take home for tomorrow's dinner... Yeah I think I'm a little crazy too. We will definitely be making this a favorite hot spot.

    I don't see what the hype is all about actually. Sure they have quite an extensive menu and it's about as thick as the holy bible, but I think that's where it hurts them. I think the quality is diluted due to the extensive and varied food that they offer. I thought it was just ok. Definitely wasn't worth the drive. The wings weren't all that great. Too tangy in my opinion. Service was good. 2.5 at best.

    2012 Review #364: Very grateful for our trip to Woody's today if for no other reason than it gave me something distinct to review, and actually worth reviewing. I've wanted to come here for a while, and when my husband wanted to go to Game Force, I thought "how can I turn this outing into a 2-review experience?" And so, going to Woody's was on the agenda. As many have said, this is another example of amazing food in a sketchy-ass strip mall. I'm beginning to think good food only comes in sketchy strip malls at this point. It was smaller than I pictured, and kinda feels like eating lunch in your aunt's house. We waited a few moments while they cleared a table and sat. Like everyone also said, the menu is comically huge, but having photos of every item is helpful. I love that "chicken sandwich" and "hamburger" are in the appetizer section, by the way. I wish, though, that they made the nationalistic divisions in the menu more obvious. I was pretty sure each time we got to a new "Specials" page that we had actually gone to another country's cuisine, but it would be nice to just have a heading of "Lao dishes" "Cambodian dishes," for those of us who don't know better. We got Singapore noodles, which showed shrimp in the picture on the menu, and some Chinese BBQ wings. We didn't specify how much so they gave us a pound, I think, which was 9 good-sized wings. They bring out food as it's ready here, so we got our noodles first and munched on those. In te whole plate there were 3 shrimp, which was disappointing, but there was also chicken and that helped it still seem substantial. My husband ordered a thai iced tea, which in the menu is shown with cream, and which everyone else in the restaurant was drinking with cream, but his came without. It was still tasty though. The wings are, well, the wings are amazing. I am definitely fine with wings, but I've never had a wing that made me think "ok this is why people like wings" until today. The skin was so, so crispy it was almost like eating thin bacon. The sauce was sweet, tangy, really tasty. They were also so hot that even on the last wing they were almost difficult to eat without getting molten sauce on our faces. Nevertheless we persevered. The wings alone are worth coming back for, and they'd be an awesome take-out item on game day. Service was pretty good, especially on water refills, but they were really busy so we waited a while for our check. Unfortunately this isn't the most conveniently located restaurant, since it's pretty far from Denver, and Boulder, and our house, but I know we'll make it back especially if we're feeling indecisive.

    LOL this place is so ridiculous it's awesome. First thing: Picture Menu! This is great for those who are curious what the vast array of options look like but it results in a binder worth of 6 bedtime stories! Not only do they have so much food from so many different regions, but they offer all the condiments to back it up too! Secret tip: I asked if they ever made Spam Fried Rice and the guy told me if they get enough requests for it (or I bring my own can) that he would (reluctantly) cook it lol. -Chicken Wings: They're pretty good! They definitely stay really crispy even though they're drenched in so much sauce, but I just wish they were bigger. By the way, "1 pound" of wings seems to result in 8 wings. - Chinese Sausage Fried Rice: This was the STAR dish for me. I ordered 3 of them in 2 days. It is deliciously moist and garlicky with a generous amount of eggs. However, the cooks can be very inconsistent and only put a few pieces of Chinese sausage in one entree and a bunch in another. -Basil Duck: DO NOT EAT! DO NOT PASS GO! It's just horrible, bad, bony, fatty, etc. Even the guy working there told me the next day he tells people not to order it. Instead he recommends the roast duck which he says they deep fry. Mmm...didn't get a chance to try it though. -Sesame Chicken: Crispy! Pretty okay. Tastes a little bit like coconut though... -Chicken and Broccoli: Good, but the sauce is a bit thin. Even when it sits out and gets cold, it stays thin... -Egg Rolls: Success! They're not your classic thick, cabbage Chinese egg rolls. These are your large, but thin and crispy Vietnamese egg rolls filled with a generous amount of pork. - Beef Pad See Ew: The beef was still tender and that's key. The noodles were fine but it was NOT Pad See Ew. It was just chow fun noodles with some Chinese Broccoli and a little bit of basil in a soy sauce. The broccoli was old and semi stale as was the basil which was sparingly used. The soy sauce had no sweet, special flavor as is usual in Thai dishes. But that's what you get for ordering a Thai dish at a Chinese Restaurant/Wings joint. Note: Their hot chili oil sauce is veryyyy spicy. Side note of hilarity: You don't learn Chinese on the back of their fortune cookies. You get the same fortune...in Spanish. I almost made it here 3 days in a row while I visited Colorado. But after all the grease and alcohol I just couldn't wish it. But now that I'm back in Virginia I'm wishing I did.

    Woody's offers a variation of SE Asian flavors to the more prevalent Vietnamese restaurants in the area. I was pleasantly surprised to find this gem as they serve up some pretty authentic dishes.     This place gets nothing but love from my partner and I. I only wish I lived closer so I could indulge again in this little bit of yumminess. Without Yelp, I am pretty sure I never would have tried this place. It's located in a small strip mall in a slightly sketchy-looking neighborhood. From the outside, it doesn't look like anything special. This may be one of the reasons I was simply blown away by its awesomeness. First off, I have to give some mad props to the staff working. They were so nice and made some great recommendations. We chatted quite a bit with our server, who genuinely seemed to love this place. He suggested a beef dish (of course I can't remember the name), which had chunks of beef in an oyster sauce, with a lime and pepper sauce to sprinkle on, and served on a bed of lettuce and cucumbers. I had never tried something like this before, and it was delicious, especially paired with the lettuce and the cucumber. My partner ordered the chili lime fish, which is basically a whole fish deep fried. I will admit, we were a little worried when it came out. The smell was a little weird, but the taste was outstanding!! If it is the same batter they use on their wings, I can see why their wings would be amazing. The fish easily came away from the bones, and the chili lime sauce was seriously DA BOMB! Both dishes were delicious and unique for us. Best of all, the prices are very reasonable. The fish was the more expensive dish at $16.99, but it was totally worth it for the size and quality of the dish. The beef was $10.99 and also had a large portion size. Next time I come to the Denver area, I will definitely be back.

    I'm not biased nor anything. I also want to apologize to other people who's going to prejudge me on this review even though I did not try their food which I should to see if it's good or not. When I walked into the restaurant hoping for a nice lunch with my sister, we were seated at a booth by a waitress. The service was not bad nor anything and there was nothing bad I notice whatsoever. One thing that bother me the most was the menu. When we were seated by the waitress, she gave my sister and I the menu which is a huge binder that looks to have over lot of pages. When I notice it, my eyes was bulging out of my head like what in the world did we get ourselves into. My sister and I were flipping the pages together trying to find something good and majority of the food we notice were ones we had before but we just wanted to try something new. Upon flipping through this "chapter book" menu, we notice we were not even near half way through the menu. When noticing it, my sister and I looked at each other and said that she doesn't want to eat here and I did agree with her. Never in my life had I ever read a menu the size of a chapter book nor have I ever walked out of a restaurant and not tried their food for once. It was tempting to give them a one star because of their menu but for my action of walking out of the restaurant with nothing, at least I can repay them with a two stars. Kudos to the servers for memorizing the "chapter book" menu. That's all I have to say. ps. in the near future I might give this restaurant a shot, but hopefully they'll change their menu to something not complicated.

    So this place is a little odd....from the name you'd think it was just a wing place, but you'd be wrong. It's really a wing place plus a chinese/cambodian/thai/etc restaurant. The menu is huge....it's a giant binder with pictures of all the food. I had the toughest time deciding because everything looked so good. We ended up trying some wings (which were great) and some entrees from various countries (also great). They have pho and noodle bowls, plus things like sesame chicken and pineapple fried rice. The staff was really friendly. My husband has a habit of asking for the hottest wing sauce a place has.....he likes the flavor, especially when it makes him cry. So when the hottest wing sauce wasn't enough our waitress brought out some Thai chilis for him to try. He decided to bite into all 3 at once. That made him cry.....and amused all of the staff at the same time. We will definitely be going back....excellent place!

    Forget the name of the place! You want to go there for the "things"! This is a twofold restaurant. BBQ, wings, burgers and fries for those that don't know or care about the "things" and excellent Cambodian, Laotian and some Vietnamese cuisine for the people that honestly know those types of food. I have Vietnamese in laws that would go there all the time when they lived here. There are so many items to choose from in their large pictorial menu, that it might be overwhelming. Personally my favorite dish there is what I consider to be the BEST "fried" fish in the nation. I've only seen it done the way they do it here over in Asia. Get the Chili Lime Red Snapper. A whole red snapper that is sort of filleted where the meat of the fish is party separated from the bones and then perfectly fried. When it is brought to your plate, it is a whole fish that you can then easily take 95% of the meat off in four wonderful boneless pieces! This is to die for. The end of the tail, fins, small bones are quite tasty and easily eaten. I've not had a better fried fish dish in the U.S.A. and I grew up on the Tampa and Chesapeake Bays. Seafood is my love and one of the reasons why I went to Asia! Another favorite dish they serve there that I always get is there "Green beans with LemonGrass". This does not describe the dish well enough: A large portion of fresh green bean sauteed to perfection. The sauce is an amazing, creamy mixture of peanut butter, coconut and lemon grass and it is really worth checking out. If you're into Green Papaya Salads, then give theirs a try as my in laws love it. I think it is good, but I never had it before going to Woody's. To drink either have one of their Thai style ice coffees or teas and they do have beer and wine there too. As for the "honkie" types food, the burgers, fries and things, this is just a place for those that live close by. Come here for the amazing Asian food, but do not expect much as far as the other food goes. Don't let your kids have a cheeseburger in this place! Make them eat some real food! Update: Took a friend there last night for my birthday dinner. She was amazed at the fish, we basically had the same dinner as in my above review. When we left there she told me it was the best fish she has ever had! Wow!

    Been here a few time so i thought I'll write a review. I guess it depends on the day you go and who's cooking, that the food is very good or just eh (ok). I dont remember my first time b/c its been a few years but the 2nd time (2months ago) I came here the food was excellent. The beef (lao) larb was good, the curry lemon grass chicken was very good, spicy and flavorful, baby corn and carrots and good size chicken. The papaya was spicier than advertise (medium), sweet and sour. The duck was ok but nonetheless this visit was A+. The last visit however was different. This same curry lemon grass chicken wasn't of the same color and didn't taste as good as the first time. The papaya wasn't as sweet and sour but still good. The springs rolls that I ordered this visit was weird beyond real. The wrap wasn't the normal wrap as it felt more like a gluey paste. The dipping sauce was watery and not appealing at all. The kapoon like dish (Thai spicy soup) was fishy, not spicy, and didn't taste all that good. Over all this visit was bad as the server only bought out a small bowl of rice as before in the previous visit, we were served a large bowl of rice. This visit was a C-

    I seriously only come here for hot wings! Is that weird? Going to an asian restaurant for their HOT WINGS? Woody's Wings N Things is originally a Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese restaurant, but to be honest, I've tried maybe 2 of their dishes max. Every time I fly into Denver, I make the boy take me here after a long 2 hour flight - I think it's almost becoming a tradition for us. Richard, the best server ever, is entertaining and hilarious... that guy always makes our experience there enjoyable. I'm not lying though, try their hot wings! You'll find yourself coming back for more!!

Anyways some things that stood out as awesome and unique: Papaya salad is way fishy. like almost too fishy for me and not a lot of things can say that. Beef salad was great, really in to the sauce that came with it. Curry fish soup was really cool, i've never had it before and I really liked how the fish was ground. Really adds a lot texturally.

It's a little more expensive then other asian restaurants but the food here is fantastic! You must try the Spicy Beef Eggplant, it is delicious!     Don't know if this was a one-off experience. We tried it based on all the positive Yelp reviews. We had wings and fried dumplings. Kids ordered cheeseburger and chicken strips. The wings were good. French Fries were ok. Everything else was below par. We had the fried dumplings and didn't finish one of them (meat smelled weird, like old fryer oil). The cheeseburger was terrible (for my 9 yr old daughter). I understand frozen cheap burgers, but this didn't meet that threshold. The menu, as some have pointed out, is large and varied. I don't always consider that a good thing as a large diverse menu requires a kitchen to keep a lot of food on hand - difficult to see how it all stays fresh unless you do a lot of volume. Doubt we'll be back.

    I took 18 of my friends to dinner at Woody's and it really couldn't have gone any better. We crowded around two of their big tables and by the end of the night the place was full. It was a Thursday night so we were impressed with how many people were there. They brought out free crab cheese wontons for us and they were really, really good. They didn't use the standard egg roll wrappers and it gave them a different taste that was a big hit with everyone. I'm definitely getting these when I come back. We also ordered the spring rolls and they were very good. The dipping sauce was a bit different and we all liked it. I shared the Suki Soup with a friend and it was a blast. We had the Chinese and Thai broths and we liked both of them. Next time we'll order extra egg noodles and they can skip the rice noodles. We ate and ate and ate and we didn't come close to finishing everything. We even shared bowls with other people at the table and there was so much food left over. They don't have any desserts but they special order the most wonderful fortune cookies. Normally I'm not a huge fan of the cookies but I could have eaten a bunch of them. Our waiter was really fun and the owner stopped by many times to check on us and answer questions. They took very good care of us. I know I'll be back! The menu is huge and I saw lots of things I'd like to try.

    For a surprise birthday weekend lunch the Ladyfriend brought me up to Woody's. I'd heard of it before, but had never been. I'd really only ever heard of the wings -- but wow is there more to this place than that. It's a combo wing joint and Asian food palace. Their menu is giant, lots of pictures of the items, with incredible looking dishes. And hidden amongst the treasures are more treasures of wings. With a few specialties, like lemongrass wings in a curry sauce with peanuts, they've also got regular old hot wings. We settled on the Lemongrass wings, and a pound of regular hot wings (rated medium for sensitive mouths! but they also come in mild hot and very hot) with some fries. You know, a perfectly healthy lunch. The wings have an awesome crisp to them, clearly fried to perfection before being bathed in a wonderful sauce. The hot sauce was plain and simple but satisfying, a really good heat without being overbearing. The lemongrass curry sauce was really crazy on wings, but very tasty. And the sauce was perfect to dip fries in! It's a hole in the wall chinese food style restaurant...with wings. What's not to like? I'm definitely interested in going back here sometime to try out some of the other Asian dishes, because it looks so damn good!

    My now husband introduced me to this amazing local find when we started dating. Who would have thunk that a strip mall, ugly building in the north burbs with a name like Woody's Wings (N things) would have the best traditional pan- Asian! This is the real thing. You just know when most of the other customers are not speaking English, that you have hit a real authentic eating experience. No fear - they have pictures on most items in the book that they call a menu. I don't know about their wings - but everything else I have tried I will order again and again.

    Having my office near Woody's, I have driven by it many times and never stopped In because I thought it was a wings takeout joint in a run down retail strip. Turns out Woody's is an authentic Thai, Laos, Cambodian, Chinese restaurant that has been there for 13 years. They keep the name Woody's Wing and Things on the sign outside because they have the registered trade name "Woody's Wings" and a few wing shops in the North Denver area have tried to use the name. I've been eating there since I found out about the place from Yelp. Went in Friday night and Sunday night and the place was packed with Asians which tells me that they serve authentic Asian food. Although I'm eating out solo most of the time, this is a place where you want to bring family and friends to share dishes. The portions are big and, be careful how much you order because you will have leftovers. The waiters and waitress, are extremely friendly and helpful. They bring out the menu, a 3 ring binder of pictures of all the food. I started out with the Papaya salad mentioned by other Yelpers and an order of pan fried dumplings. I asked them to go light on the fish sauce. The salad brought back memories of my time in Thailand. Shredded green papaya just like I remember. The dumplings were huge! Had to cut them although I tried to stuff one in my mouth. The waitress asked if I wanted sticky rice and I said why not. Well sticky rice is $3.25. That night I tried the Pad Thai. I had a hard time finishing the large portion but, my manhood was on the line and I polished it off. Very good, however, having had Bangkok street Pad Thai, I am constantly comparing Pad Thai to what I had in Thailand in addition to making the dish myself and I always find it comes up short to what I experienced in Bangkok. After having two meals from Woody's I swear I gained a kilo. Next I tried the Chicken Lab Thai Style which is ground chicken with herbs and some tasty Chinese vegetables. Very good. I also tried the Nime Chow appetizer (spring rolls). Very good with noodles, shrimp and cilantro and filing enough as a meal. All and all, I'm going to keep coming back here to try all the interesting names of food as well as the inviting pictures. have you ever heard of Bee Boong?

    Woody's is one of those places in which you either get it or you don't. Mother F'N picture menus, hell yes! $1 beers, keep that ish coming. Being a So Cal transplant I've been spoiled rotten with an abundance of great Thai/Cambodian/Laos cuisine in Los Angeles. This place has been a haven for me and my wife when we crave some authentic papaya salad and other Thai/Laos dishes. I think the majority of people especially Denver people do not know how closely tied these 3 cuisines are. Woody's is a great place to explore that relationship as well as keeping the kids occupied with their selection of finger foods.

    Such a disappointment! I chose this restaurant based on the reviews, but my date and I were so disappointed. The papaya salad is actually shredded papaya, which didn't taste a bit like the fruit, but had so much fish sauce in it, it was inedible. We sent it back and were given beef teriyaki on a stick instead. Not much better. The shrimp dish was just ok. The wings were good. The service, friendly. The extensive menu was mind-boggling, and felt dirty. Were it not for my great dining companion, the day would have been considered a disaster. Does Woody write his own reviews?

    OK, my wings were good but it stops there. The ranch was the worst, I think it was mayonnaise. It's a dumpy run down place with poor decor. My waitress was lousy the moment I walked in the door. After she dropped off my food, she when over in the corner and ate her dinner, never to be seen from again. The menu? I like the idea of a picture menu but this thing is over an inch thick of unorganized pages with and no prices. Sorry, I'm sure all the food tastes good but there's more to dining out than just food.

    I've been going here, with my partner (who is Thai), at least once per week for over a year. It is our favorite restaurant. We get the papaya salad (medium spiciness) every time. We also really like the laab (pork or chicken... haven't actually tried beef; the duck is ok, if you like duck) with sticky rice. Also very good is the dry noodle bowl (I don't know what the real name is). Robert is a very friendly server and always fun to talk to. An earlier reviewer mentioned a "Richard," but there is no Richard; I think she meant Robert. One thing, though: They do put MSG in a lot of the dishes, so if you don't want that, then just ask for your food without it, and they will accommodate you. We've only gotten the chicken wings once. They're fine, but we prefer the Asian food here.

    Woody's is one of those places you REALLY hope is good, but almost every sign points to trouble. Sign of trouble number one: 1)It's a Cambodian joint that does wings. Sign of trouble number two: 2)It's a wings joint that does Cambodian Sign of trouble number three: 3)The menu has like 80 pages, WITHOUT PRICES, with three kinds of cuisine. The fact that it was PACKED on a Friday night I thought was a great sign, so maybe someone thinks that this is good food. Unfortunately it's not. It ranges from bland to inedible. I have never had Cambodian food before, but I have had food before and I know that good food from around the world has the common thread of not making you want to spit it out because it's so awful. The wife ordered some sort of pork and garlic dish that tasted of pure garlic. It had no other notes, the garlic overpowered everything and it was disgusting. I ordered the Pad Thai which was BLAND. How can Pad Thai be bland!? (You may be asking yourself) It had NO flavor whatsoever. It tasted like it was meant for someone with stomach problems and couldn't handle flavor. Compared to the good Pad Thai readily available in this city (US Thai, Wild Ginger, Tommy's Thai, Thai Elephant club), this was HORRIBLE. But I suppose if you have only eaten terrible bad thai that a total 0 is probably better than that. Other than being flavorless, it wasn't offensive like the pork dish. The wings are disgusting as well. They come out served in a basket of hot wings sauce which is thick with oil. The flavor is OK, it kind of has a rancid tinge though which is KIND of a turn off when you are eating chicken wings. The fries are sysco steak fries, and they were overdone - not fried hard which is a different process. Even if they had been good fries, like at Wing Stop, for example which has fresh cut fries done hard, they were overdone to the point of being disgusting. Other negatives: The plum sauce on the tables tastes as if they aren't refrigerating it at night and has a slight spoiled flavor. There is no ketchup on the tables, except for packets of Hunts ketchup (MAJOR DING). Ketchup must be Heinz or nothing - everything else is disgusting. All in all, a wholly disappointing evening for so many reasons. Woodys, I REALLY wanted to like you, but you were so awful that nothing could save you.

    Khmer and Lao delights in a wing joint? Can it be? Why yes, yes it can. A change in ownership at this Westminster institution brought with it a number of innovations, including a telephone book, er, menu jam-packed with dishes from Cambodia, Laos, and elsewhere. You can't go wrong with Somlaw Machu Kroeung (prosaically titled "Cambodian Soup" on the menu, this spicy/sour sensation features huge hunks of beef and tripe in a rich broth) paired with Tam Mak Hoong (fiery Lao green papaya salad with the earthy fermented fish sauce called Padek). Or, perhaps you want to begin with Nime Chow (the Khmer take on the Vietnamese rice-paper rolls called Goi Cuon), followed by the celebrated Lao raw beef dish called Larb (often made with beef bile back home for an added kick!) If you're not feeling quite *that* adventurous, there are a ton of Chinese dishes to choose from too, along with representatives from Thailand and Vietnam. Oh, and of course the wings and burgers as well. But isn't it nice to branch out once in a while? And on your way home, don't forget to stop by Dubbel Dutch (see previous review) - after all, you're already on Lowell!

    This is a SE Asian restaurant that has wings on the menu. Don't come here for wings alone, 1 flavor per order, no exceptions. The menu is obscenely large w/ no rhyme or reason to it. I'll pass - wings were OK, but not enough to bring me back.

    As sketch as this place looks, it's 100% legit! I was a tad skeptical about eating here because of the name--Wings N Things? That was the name of a local wing place where I used to live occupied with out of shape middle aged men downing Millers. How the hell can it have good Asian food? Wellllllllll......we stopped here for that awkward time that is in between lunch and dinner (linner?) and while we were the only people there who weren't family or worked there, it was a great experience. First off, the portions are huge! I got the pad thai and it was enough. Second, when you say spicy, they listen to you. I didn't get Thai spicy but just spicy and while it didn't have my mouth watering, it was the perfect level of spice and flavor without overtaking the peanut sauce. Third, along with the pad thai, service was just right. There weren't overbearing or anything but they were always there to fill our water. Whenever I go back to this 'hood, I will definitely stop by again.....and maybe try some of their wings?

    This place is pretty chill. Yeah it's by Federal which is a little ghetto but don't let that stop you. Let the fear of being carjacked stop you, but don't let the rough location be a deterrent. I ordered a noodle, fish, pork, curry dish that was pretty good. They have a menu that's damned near the size of the White Pages but surprisingly it works. Just look at the pictures and get what's good. The staff is friendly as well. I wish I had found this place earlier instead of wasting my time eating at chain places. Next time I'm in town I'll be stopping by. I have the "things" and now I want to try the wings. That's it folks. Remember to have your pets spayed or neutered.

    The menu at this place is amazing -- dishes you will see nowhere else, and certainly not together, all nicely photographed so you have an idea of what you'll get. The lunch deals are a steal, and they start serving lunch when they open at 9:30. Ask about the dishes you haven't seen before and then try some. Good food, good prices, good service, vast and exciting menu, all tucked away in a tiny strip mall. Ah, Denver.

    If you're dropping in, only go for the Asian food. Most of the time I come here with the family. We usually get the papaya salad, beef laab (both the Thai & Lao style ones as each member has their own preferences), grilled whole fish with sticky rice. Everything always comes out fresh and hot. The food is always good every time I come here.

    Yummy, Yummy in my empty tummy is what I thought about last night's visit. Since it was faaaareezing last night and neither of us felt like cooking, we decided to head to Woody's for a nice bowl of pho, yet, instead, we decided to try the Suki soup. I was always curious about it as it's on the the first page of their menu binder and having seen it dished out the last time we were there, we decided - what the heck. Suki soup is similar to pho, but served fondue style. You are served a huge platter of mostly veggies (bok choy, celery, cabbage) and shrimp, cooked squid, and red meat. You can choose from 4 different broths, either Thai style or Chinese and we did one of each. I have to tell you, the Thai beef broth was amazing, while the Chinese style broth tasted liek it had a hint maple syrup. Two different ends of the spectrum, but nevertheless, both were very good. The rest is downhill, add your main ingredients and then veggies and wha-la! You have Suki Soup! Oh don't forget the chili in oil and soy sauce. Yum! Oh yeah, we were given a dipping sauce, red in color and had a kick of hotness to it. We were told it is a Thai sauce (name ??), homemade just for them, and completely amazing. The taste was that of fire, with a twist of tangyness, and left your mouth with a hint of smokyness. Words can't describe it. Just ask for the homemade dipping sauce. Although everything hit the spot, I was not too thrilled with the vermicelli noodles (white, gelatin looking noodles that are usually in Vietnamese egg rolls), that seem to turn into slime in the soup, but hey, I found out you can substitute any noodle you want. So next time we're going with good ol' rice noodles.

    Delicious- but why? So I just had dinner at Woody's Wings N Things for the first time last night and my head is still spinning. Not only was that the most surreal experience of my life, but just to defy all odds, the food was delicious. First off all, my husband and I have totally opposing tastes when it comes to food. He loves hamburgers and fries while I love any type of ethnic food, or soupy noodles! So he found this place on yelp and told me we were going to get wings. At first I wasn't so excited- I thought....wings? Eh, ok. I like wings. But then we got to the door and I didn't even know what to say! The sign says it all, there's Woody's Wings, Cambodian Food, Vietnamese Food, Lao Food, and Thai food all jammed into one small Godfather-esque dining room. Complete with the gold plated crystal chandeliers, wood paneling, and red drapes this place looked like a straight blast from the past. As we sat down and started to read through the VERY extensive menu, I was glad there were pictures for all the items. Also- side note- there was dish labeled "Strange Flavor Beef"-lol, I didn't order it but I was intrigued. So 30 minutes later, having read the entire novel we decided on some classics. We started off with a PuPu Platter that had not only BBQ chicken wings, but also Cheese Rangoons, Lemongrass beef skewers, fried shrimp, fried chicken, and egg rolls. Talk about old-school! They still had the little flaming burner in the center! I haven't seen one of those in years! Everything was delicious and well-fried, crispy but not greasy. Then we moved on to Sweet and Sour Chicken for my husband (ironically, I thought he would get a hamburger for sure) and then a combo Pho for me. The Pho was hot and delicious and huge! And the best part- they had meatballs and steak and tripe and tendon all in one bowl! If you're a fan of pho you know it's hard to get a place that puts meatballs in with the rest of the meats... what a find! My husband's chicken was the irradiated yellow-red color you expect from Early 60's Chinese-style food. It was good, but just what you would expect- nothing fancy. They also serve beer and wine- so my husband had a Singha- I told him he should have really mixed it up by having a Mexican Corona with his Chinese food. :) Anyway, tab was decent and we have tons of leftovers! Verdict- Fusion isn't always a nasty word. Come by for a surreal and awesome night of noshing!

    This placed was an experienced. The restaurant name is not really fitting. It is a Chinese, Thai, with a hint of American food in one place. The wings are very good...must eat right away to really appreciate its tastiness. Restaurant received four stars, instead of five because it lacks focus on its menu items.

    First off, try and ignore the name of the place, I've never had wings there (let alone things!). Go for the asian food, it is delicious. I especially have had great experiences with the Beef Lab and Papaya Salad. The service is good, and the staff is very friendly. There always seem to be large groups here, and service has still been quick. I been there both for sit-down as well as dinner pick-up, and the place does get crowded, normally with a great mix of people (but have not had to wait for a table). So ignore the name, the strip-mall location, the utilitarian decor... and just try the food.

    This place has good Cambodian food? Seriously? A place that has 'wings' in the title of it? A place that is in the crappiest little strip center EVER? This hole in the wall just 2 minutes from my house is supposed to be delicious? WHY!? HOW!? WHY AGAIN?! So... I live in an area pretty much devoid of awesome take out food. On top of that, I have a hard time trusting reviews of places that exist in suburbs. Why? Well... you tend to review according to what you know. If all you know in your area is a Applebees and Panda Garden, welllllllllllll... I am guessing anything that has fresh vegetables in it tastes delicious to you. I have to travel to the highlands to get any decent food, and really... as far as vietnamese-ish, chinese-ish, japanese-ish food, you are pretty much SOL for finding anything yummy. I pretty much had to force myself to try the food here that was not wings. Why? Because there is not a chance this place was going to be good. Guess what? I was wrong. I said it. The great and almighty Marximus was WRONG. This place is AMAZING! The menu for 'not wings' is a picture menu. I have to say, skip it and opt for the takeout menu. Why? Because they have a wider variety of deliciousness to choose from. But, if you want the full effect, you can play a game of try to match the picture of the dish in the picture menu. They don't really align in the same way, so it can pretty much entertain you for like 20 minutes while the staff gets angry at you for taking an hour to order one entree. By wide variety, I'm talking like the biggest damn menu ever. It's insane, it's crazy, it's spiced to order. Also, you can get any of their beers for under $2, while you wait. EVERYTHING I have had on their menu is pretty much better than the last thing I ordered. I am not sure what to do about that, because I can't really suggest any dishes. Eat it all, I say. Also, iffffffff you decide to take me up on my invite to eat everything here, please don't sue me for the delicious heart attack you have, One more thing... I suggest you really pay attention to the fact that this really is a hole in the wall. If you plan on dining in, remember... it's umm... not what I would call romantic. Unless your idea of romance is taking yourself on a wonderful date... just you, a comic book and the last shred of your dignity on a Saturday night as you cry into your noodle soup. umm nevermind.

    So I have been going to Woody's since the times it was owned by some trailer park white people on 104th and before I jumped into the Asian scene Privates first I loved it and when I saw that Asians took over I was scared but they can make some tasty wings as well! Even expanded the menu adding Thai food and other dishes. With there amazing lunch specials and delicious food to accompany it (you know sometimes specials sacrifice quality or quantity) I have eaten here regularly since high school. I just wish the menu was still in "10 wings, 20 wings etc..." I feel the 1 lb, 2 lb approach was away to charge more for the same amount... no?

    Holy gigantic menu! When the menu hit our table (aka- made the safe descent and landing in the available space on the table) I could have sworn the waitress mixed up the menu with my notes from physics class. Seriously, it's in a binder... I picked my jaw up off the table and made my way through the huge selection of food that Woody's offers. Let's just say - you're in that tough spot, he's in the mood for a hamburger, you're in the mood for pho, and your - (insert relative here) - is in the mood for wings or possibly bbq. Well, problem solved! Come here! There is something for everybody, even the young ones. My husband and I liked everything that we ordered. The wings are especially tasty. The skin stayed crisp as opposed to becoming soggy after laying in the sauce and the meat was nice and tender. Our waitress was friendly and helpful in answering some questions during our first visit. The decor is simple, but comfortable. We'll be back!

    I've been here three times and have been very pleased by the authenticity of the Asian dishes. Although they do serve "Americanized" food, there are many dishes that you'd find on a menu in SF's Chinatown or even Hong Kong..... today we ordered the steamed fish, and we got a very large perch which was perfectly steamed in light soy sauce, topped with diced veggies and spices (although the pineapple was odd). The fish tasted very fresh, a nice surprise for the Denver area! Only a few restaurants in the area will serve Chinese broccoli, who would think that a place in Westminster would offer it. And the wings..... crispy deep fried goodness topped with rich Asian style sauces, quite awesome and indulgent.

    So I've been to this place a couple of times and I have to say that it is excellent. I'm totally addicted to their cheese wontons. The best I have ever had. Beebong.... learn that word then order it, eat and savor it. It's kind of soup, but not quite. It is rice noodles with bamboo, peanuts, mint and your choice of meat, with some broth, and optional coconut sauce. They even made it spicy to my liking. They give huge servings, I had enough to take to work in my lunch the next day. That's when a coworker tried my left overs, and based on that she planed her bd party there. Everyone was impressed, and concoured best wontons ever. I've heard a couple of people that were at that party are now regulars.

    OK, excellent Thai/Lao/Cambodian food with a splatter of Vietnamese in there too. We ordered about 12 dishes - all were excellent with large portions. Lots of food to take home and the bill was only $120. My favorite was the Eggplant with ground pork and the duck larb. The lemon grass wings were also very tasty. Out of all the Thai restaurants in Denver, this one is the most memorable. Also try the shrimp paste fried rice - excellent!.

    I've been going to Woody's for quite sometime now. It's a friend of mines family business but I'm not reviewing because of them, the food there speaks for itself. You would never think that wing's and cambodian food go together but it does! I've had a good assortment of khmer food from Long Beach, CA to New York, New york, and Woody's in Westminster, CO has not been beat! Their nam ya there is one of the best I have had. I love the beef skewers there and the beef and tripe soup they offer. All authentic, home cooking that hits all the right taste buds. If you order wings from there, I always ask for the "special" sauce on the side. It's a sweet, tangy, spicy szechuan sauce but goes great with the large deep fried heavenly wings. I've never gone to the restaurant without having it be busy, but it is every bit worth the wait. One of my favorite dishes, deep fried whole fish thai style. AMAZING!!!

    I never would have tried it or guessed it was so good. I was getting a Thai massage and was told to try this place because it was "so much like home" and I did the next day. My wife's face when she tried the "Khnom Jeen" (Nam Ya or something like that on the menu) was all I needed to know. It was the first time in her almost 3 years in the US that she's found one of her favorite dishes with the real flavor of Thailand. I had the Papaya Salad and didn't realize it would come with the fermented fish so wasn't much impressed but my wife was happy to eat what I didn't. There are so many things on the menu it would be unfair to rate this place on the one dish I had. I gave it 5 stars because it's so hard to find good, authentic food from NE Thailand/Laos/Cambodia. My wife knows Thai food much more than I do so this is her rating. Cheap with big servings too!

    Authentic Cambodian food ... in a wings joint?? I wanted to bring this place a little Yelp-love because it's so dang unique, tasty, and ... well, surreal. Located in a tiny, rundown suburban strip-mall, it looks like (and is) a non-descript Woody's Wings franchise, but - poof! - you step inside and it turns out they are pulling double duty as a low-key little Thai/Cambodian restaurant as well! Definitely a little bizarre and definitely a little fantastic. I hadn't ever tried Cambodian food before I came here, but a Cambodian friend and her family took me. They are huge fans and I can see why - I LOVED my food, though I couldn't possibly tell you what I ordered. I haven't tried the Thai portion of their menu, but I've heard great things about that as well. If you're ever out near 66th and Lowell - and don't even play like you're not - stop in and give it a whirl.

    All the other reviews have pretty much captured the glory of Woody's.... all I really have to say is the service is consistently good and right now it's happy hour all day for $1.50 beers! Excellent indeed, and I got to try my first Thai beer [Changs]. I've only had a couple of asian dishes there, but they've always been good.. now I just need to try more :)

    My family and I have been going to Woody's Wings and Things for many years now. The family owned restaurant has kind of become like an extended family to us, they are all really wonderful people. The also have fast and friendly service and it's reasonably priced for the large portions they give. The food is amazing and you HAVE to try the crispy lime fish, sooo good! Also a usual favorite is the Tom Yum seafood soup, it is like nothing you're used to it is very, very delicious. The BeeBong is also very good, spring rolls, hot wings, the crispy duck! Everything is so good you'll love it guaranteed!

    Mmm. Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Lao, Cambodian, and Chicken Fingers & Wings, in one restaurant ... awesome! My wife is from Thailand and she really likes the nam ya and the som tum (which even my falang ass thinks they do a great job at). The Cambodian lok lak is awesome, as are most of the dishes I've had here. The only downside is that the pat grapao is fairly dry and tasteless, so I stay away from that. But otherwise this place is awesome.
