EDIT: I understand that immediately after its Grand Opening, and the review below, the restaurant switched to house-made fried tortilla chips from what they had before. I really appreciate that this restaurant is attentive to customer feedback and is quickly working to make improvements. ORIGINAL: Overall, I rate this as, "Meh." I LOVE Mexican food, and I live in the neighborhood, and yet I don't really see myself coming back to Emilio's for more than perhaps a quick drink sometime -- which, honestly, I think is their hope. The bar setup is nice, and fairly elaborate. I think Emilio's views itself as a place you'll go for its "almost famous" margaritas, and maybe order some food that you won't pay too much attention to while you're there. I went there mid-afternoon on Jan 17, during its Grand Opening. Service was friendly and attentive, and I experienced none of the problems others have reported with the waitstaff. There was an odd kitchen problem, however. We ordered an appetizer of refritos con queso, and were told that due to a production problem in the kitchen, our app would come out as much as 15 minutes after our entrees. We were in no hurry, so we asked to wait and have app first. It was about 15 minutes before a simple bowl of melted queso came out, so I don't know what was going on back there. Then the food was weird - maybe I didn't read the menu correctly. I expected refried beans with cheese melted over them. This was melted white queso which was tasty... with very few random loose, whole beans floating in it. It was so strange. We ordered the 3 tacos platter (crunchy, ground beef), with $3 side (!) of sour cream, and a chicken quesadilla for our entrees. Meh. Food was okay, but nothing special. Finished off with with the "Wan-ita" chocolate custard dessert - about the same: meh, nothing special. The one thing Emilio's could do to immediately improve its appeal would be to convert to house-made tortilla chips, and a fresh salsa. That would make it worth coming there for the food, stay for the booze. Otherwise, I don't see myself returning to the "dubious neighborhood cantina" as we've taken already to calling it.

Went here on a Thursday evening for some happy hour margaritas and chips and salsa. Margaritas were on point (would go back just for these)! And the 2-for-1 deal? Can't beat it. Was with my wife and 3-year old...waitress was super-busy but still managed to serve us efficiently and amicably...and was very friendly with our son. We went there planning not to have an entree (will go back to try), but I had to taste their chili. I was raised on the East Coast, and didn't know what chili "really was" until I spent a few years in New Mexico. And if you know "real chili" you'll know it's NOT meat, kidney beans, tomato sauce, and cheese. Assessment of both the red and green chili on a scale of 1-10 (1 being poor, 10 being outstanding)...I give both an 8.5! I will be going back for just the chili alone! Ignore the 1 and 2 star reviews and just give them a shot. I'm happy that Emilio's is right down the road...I anticipate making this a regular place for my family and me.

I've ate here a few times & usually get the Mexican hamburger which is a huge portion for the price. I went in during the grand opening last month & was worried it would take a while to get my order because it was so busy. Even if it's a place I like I still don't want to wait too long to eat. I ordered a 3 taco dinner & my food was in front of me(and hot) in just a few minutes. I had to sit at the bar because all the tables were full & I got to watch all the employees from a birds eye view so to speak. It looked like they were not understaffed(always a good sign) & even though they were extremely busy with the grand opening everyone that worked there seemed to be having fun. Emilio's has a nice simple menu with good food & an inviting enviroment. I try and go every couple weeks.

Not sure why people are leaving negative reviews. I have been there 4 or 5 times. The margaritas are fantastic the staff is excellent. The food is pretty darn good. I guess you can't make everyone happy.

OK. I'm really torn with this place. Everything tastes pretty fresh/homemade but it's all pretty bland. I can taste a hint of herbs and spices in everything but it's muted. Now if you're like my daughter, this is pretty much a good thing. We shared fish tacos and chicken tacos, side of beans, sides of rice and green chili and for some reason, guacamole. I thought the guac came with the tostadas but I was charged for it (I had originally ordered tostadas then saw the fish taco feature and switched). The fish was cooked well, the coleslaw was pretty good but again, all muted flavors. The chicken was overcooked but soaked in what I'm guessing is the cooking liquid. Good flavor but muted. Salsa is ok, not a fan of the guac, rice or beans. Beans were slightly undercooked and in desperate need of salt, rice was very bland. Guac just tasted off. I also ordered the chocolate custard which had the completely opposite problem. Very very rich, overly sweet and slightly gritty. Very over priced. I paid $38 for 6 tacos, a cup each of the beans, rice and green chili and half a cup of guac. I kinda felt nickel and dimed. None of the meals include beans or rice or anything. I wish I could say I loved the place, but I'm afraid I didn't. There's just too many amazing Mexican food places within a few miles for me to ever come back. What a shame.

Drove by and I had my husband turn around. I was so excited to see a new establishment open, and that it was a cantina was even more exciting. I LOVE Mexican food and make it often at home. I've also tried most of the mexican restaurants in the area. The interior is nicely done because it is new, but still a bit stale and not terribly inviting. It appears they are looking to be more of a bar than a restaurant. Nobody said hello when we walked in the door nor was there a seat yourself sign. The menu was horrible. No selection! It almost seemed like a joke. No carne asada, pork or anything else original. Very basic and I recommend you stay at home and make it yourself because guaranteed you'll make it better than Emilio's. I got the tacos as did my son and neither of us finished them. They were pretty bland. The Nachos chips came out of the bag and I'm pretty sure the tomatoes were pre-cut and delivered in a bag on a truck as well. Not good! We also had the queso fundido which I grew up eating. They slap chorizo in a dish and put a small ladle of some of kind of cheese on it. We starred at it for a minute uncertain of what we just got ourselves into. It should be be melted queso fresco or at least mozerella. My husband and I both had their supposed famous green chili. It was SO salty and after three bites we both left it uneaten. I make far better green chili than that. To sum it up. Get a Margarita and go eat somewhere else. Boring, and frankly...just not that good.

So glad to have another Mexican restaurant in the area. I've been there twice now & the house margaritas are pretty good. Chips & salsa are decent too. I've only had the burritos, which are huge, but good. Nothing amazing, but decent. Only issue might be the chicken fingers/nuggets on the kids menu. My son thinks they're horrible. Overall, I think it's a great addition to the neighborhood!

Great experience. Came for breakfast on a Thursday. Can't beat it for the price. Green chile was excellent. The owner was extremely personable. Looking around, they have a great alcohol selection. Hope to come back soon.

Great food enjoyable wait staff and bartenders. I Even met a part owner today. They have been very accommodating every visit. Suggestion, try the moonshine it's not your normal moonshine, very good.

I had the gigantic burrito and it was the size of my fist. Maybe not even that big. Good service. food need work. Even the hot green chili has no zing to it. Extremely nice people but not the sort of Mexican food that wows me for the price. When getting just under $10 for a gigantic burrito I want to leave stuffed. Hence gigantic.

Emilio's Almost Famous will NEVER be famous as long as the service remains POOR! We went there on a Saturday afternoon around 1:30 and ended up walking out after waiting 15 minutes to place our order. We did sample the chips and they tasted like they came out of a bag. I should mention they were not busy and had a lot of employees walking around cluelessly. It appeared that the table behind us that had 3 people all sent their food back, so perhaps it was a blessing in disguise that the service was poor and we left. There are way better Mexican restaurants in the area.

This is the BEST place in town to find margaritas and gather with your friends. The staff is SO awesome and friendly and the food is great too! The margaritas are fresh not from some premix and the add some twist with the salt on the rim that finishes it off...... YUMM!!!

We recently attended Emilio's Almost Famous on their grand opening! The place was packed, and full of contagious positive energy! The band was awesome! We enjoyed our dinner. We each tried a different burrito! The burritos were HUGE! I loved the Jalapeño Slaw! The margarita's were delicious. The staff was extremely attentive, and full of great suggestions. It was a bit hectic to get a seat in the beginning. Perhaps, there could be a hostess on busy nights. We enjoyed a cocktail why we waited, it was perfect! Best wishes! See you all soon!

Somebody who works here can really cook. I think it is the best Chili Relleno I have ever had. : ) Nice service too.

Loved Emilio's! There's not much better than finding a local restaurant that's family owned, staffed with cool people and also serves great food! We had breakfast here this morning... Both were really good. Not too spicy but spicy enough to get my attention. We're "eat and drink at the bar" kinda folks and met Christina, the bonus daughter of the family (that's daughter in law for those not in the know... Don't like the negative connotation that goes with "in laws" so I opt for "bonus" instead). Emilio's has live music on the weekends and great drink specials... I decided to indulge in their $6 bottomless mimosas just now. Yum! And, Christina treated us to a complimentary shot of their "Lunashine..." Also, really tasty.. An apple flavored shot :) If you're nearby, driving through or just bored and hungry one day, go. You won't regret it. Super cool place!

Okay, so I decided to give this place a second try before I wrote my review, and it was even worse the second time. First of all, the food reminds me of my middle school cafeteria lunches. There is absolutely nothing special about any of the dishes I've had there, which include the tacos, quesadilla, and burrito. The prices are around $9-$11 for the most part, but just not worth it. If it's not happy hour, they are charging $5.50 for a pint of Pacifico, which is just unacceptable when you can drive less than a mile and hit three craft breweries with cheaper beers. Now for the worst part. Both times I've been there, I've had terrible service. This last time being the worst. The waitress was not friendly, didn't check in and generally just seemed like she would rather not interact with any people - ever - than be working there. Definitely just skip this place, go up the road to four noses and eat off their food trucks.

So I first ate here in April and was craving the delicious food and great service I had since and my hubby's ate here several times with his son. Well tonight was such a Huge disappointment and service was horrible! Ok, so I don't expect perky, smiley or friendly, but would it kill you to not look like YOU'RE doing me the favor? I mean it's not like we're high maintenance. Ok so I ordered several things as usual and when we first got there I asked for a Virgin Bloody M. and my hubby a beer special and we both specifically asked for water, which we never got, till I was don'e about 5 minutes later with my Bloody M, and she asked if I wanted another and I said if I could just have "water please." Mind you my hubby had to ask for water after our food got there. We ordered chips and salsa to start, but then 8 minutes later our food came, but I had to ask for our chips and salsa we never got. Then the tacos I got were wrong.. I wanted chorizo and steak, instead got chicken and they weren't even worth $1! That's how nasty tasting they were. I swear my bloody was the best thing. Even the Empenadas I fell in love with the last time was Bland and NO FLAVOR! I literally was putting salt on everything. My husband burrito was different from the last time and there were a TON of beans as fillers in it and not much chicken. I'm soo disappointed! When we got into the car my hubby was like "that was the Worse service ever!" and was happy it was my choice to go here tonight because if he chose I would've been super P!$$ed! I give 3 stars only because I forgot to write a good review the first time, but I usually like to go more than once be4 actually writing a review. This night alone they should only get 1 star. Chips & salsa- chips were good, but salsa not seasoned enough Empanda -No flavor, not like the first time Taco Weds - chicken and beef.. I felt like I was just putting plastic and no flavor in my mouth..Like really Taco Bell is SOOOO much better. Chicken Burrito- mostly bean filler hardly any chicken Bloody Mary - just a step above clamato juice from the store that I could've gotten cheaper than $3. Service - F++++++++ Horrible, had to ask for food and water to remind her. I don't think I'd give this place for dinner again, but maybe I'll try it for breakfast on the weekend to see the best out of 3. Since the first time I went, it was 5 stars, then now just 1 Star actually -0. Hopefully I like my next time.

What a discovery! Not quite as earth shattering as a Lewis & Clark expedition but far superior than finding loose change in the sofa cushions. Emilio's is an unassuming family owned Mexican restaurant nestled in the corner of a bustling strip mall. At first glance, from the outside, you're thinking "Chipotle/Qdoba "ish" chic-style type of fast food. Far from that. You walk through the glass doors and realize they're not serving hot sauce in plastic packages. Then, as you find your seat, you really appreciate the understated bravura created from the son's artistic ability, which hangs on the walls, makes up the imaginative split bar and the lively openness of this casual Catina. You're immediately warmed by smiles, great service. A simple menu boasting with flavorful sounding "especials", a 7-day, 3-hour happy hour declaration and bountiful burritos. This day I tried the 3 Tacos, one of each- chicken, beef and chorizo. I opted for the flour tortilla. Let me tell you, the chorizo is out of the world, so flavorful and bold. A tad greasy, but the tortilla soaks it up like a buttermilk biscuit absorbs gravy. Drink of choice, their deliciously smooth house margarita. Smooth.

Two words: Luna Shine! It's an apple flavored moon shine and it's absolutely delicious. When you go here, you absolutely must try a shot. The Margaritas are also amazing! So the food, I'm a fan of the pozole (they call it posole rojo). The pork meat is tender and the hominy really absorbs the flavor of the stew. I'm from LA, which is in my opinion the hub of Mexican food and I don't think I have found a place there quite like this pozole. All it's missing is some splashes of lime, so be sure to ask for some. The staff and service is great! I live close by so I have been here quite a few times, so I knew it was time to write a review. I love that it's a family owned business and they care about their customers and want everyone to enjoy their experience. Also, try the sopapilla sticks! Another plus, they added karaoke on Friday nights! Give em a try.

I actually liked this place. I noticed they were open and I am always excited to try out a new place. Its not a fancy - high end place, but still had a really nice interior, and welcoming space. I came here on lunch and we had the chips and salsa, empanadas and a burrito . Where its not necessarily 'authentic' it hit the spot for a quick lunch. I also like that the menu is small... i can't stand when places have so much to choose from that its overwhelming... this place does not have that issue. It seems like a great place to get together with some friends after work too. I'll be back for that :)

I was surprised and excited to see a new cantina in my neighborhood. Yes, I read the reviews but I wanted to give it a try. Walked in and we were the only patrons. No big deal. It was the middle of the day. Started with the chips and salsa. The chips were definitely not home made. The salsa tasted and looked like canned tomatoes and ground chile spice. I have never had salsa as bad as this and I have been to Casa Bonita! Looking over the menu and you know the feeling when not one thing stands out as good? Very standard fair here. I opted for the Emilios Gigante buritto smothered with the green chili. I liked that the chili was hot, but that was it. It was obviously thickened with something that made it look coagulated. Not a fan of gloppy green chili. My friend had the naked burrito. It was more of a soup. He sent it back, and he NEVER sends anything back. All of this is very sad because we all want a locally owned establishment to be successful. The owner came by and talked to us about our disappointing experience. It turned into a very awkward conversation where she was asking us what we disliked about the food then defending herself defiantly. I just hope that they will take the constructive criticism and use it to their benefit.

We'd been waiting for Emilio's to open and when we saw the open sign turn on a few days ago we headed in for dinner. Being that it was their first days open the menu was a bit limited but what we had will likely lead to many more visits. Since it was opening weekend, we look forward to future visits and I'm sure we'll see their kitchen, staffing, and general new business kinks worked out. Emilio's is warm & inviting inside. The tables are all counter-height so it's easy if you have large groups or other people standing and you're all at the same height for talking. You can choose a table, bar seating, or seating with a window-view. The main entrees consist of your usual suspects - burritos, tacos, nachos, & tortas and you can get your burrito in a bowl if you prefer (with or without a tortilla on the side). I went to for the burrito-bowl option with Pancho's Choice which was filled with chorizo, rice, beans, cheese & onions. The hot green chile was a great choice and really made the dish. We also ordered the Loco's Favorite burrito which is filled with ground beef, beans, cheese, and onions. This one we chose smothered in hot green chile and the red pork chile. The red pork chile doesn't have the heat of the hot green chile but it complements the dish. There are a variety of tequila & vodka based cocktails on their menu and a standard selection of beers, although not much in the way of local, craft beers if that's what you're looking for. If the drink menu doesn't strike your fancy, there is a full bar for you to request your drink of choice. Don't leave without a sip of their homemade apple lunashine, which is like dangerously delicious apple pie in a glass.

Cute place, pretty good Mexican food. I would order green chile again! Taco shells were a little hard. Great server and a good band was playing.

We have eaten at Emilio's several times since they opened about a month ago. The service is always on point, provide a fun atmosphere and comfort Mexican food you can't find any where else in Arvada/Westminster. I usually only eat burritos at a Mexican restaurant, using the green chili as a gauge. The medium and hot green chili are fantastic! The meat is quality, the broth flavorful and just the right amount of heat. They have gluten free and vegetarian. The burritos themselves are huge...well worth the money. My husband had the green chili flight with tortillas and raved about the vegetarian. Since everything else was so good, I ventured out and tried the beef empanadas and Posole Roja. The soup was filled with just the right flavor, excellent pork and a perfect tortilla to dip. I've had it twice! I have had empanadas in many places...these are perfect. Perfect crunch and tender juicy meat. Emilio's also has a great house marg and lunashine. I am tempted to stop in for just Margs and the great salsa next time! We are so happy to have Emilio's in the neighborhood!

We went there on a Saturday night, they were fairly busy which we love seeing because they are a local family owned business. This was our 3rd visit and the worst one of all the last 2 were only slightly better but we thought we'd give them one last try. Unfortunately, we won't be back after this one. Our waitress was very nice but a little flakey, what happened wasn't her fault but she didn't really know what was going on. She admitted that to us by saying she only works one day a week there and she just doesn't know the menu that well and has a hard time remembering it with a weeks time between each shift. Nothing like admitting you have no clue what you're doing to someone who is going to tip you based upon your knowledge of your job and quality of service. I guess things have changed in the years since I waited tables because at every restaurant I have ever worked at, one of the requirements was to know that menu backwards and forwards!!!! Anyhow, my Husband ordered a draft beer and that took forever, we inquired about it after about 10 minutes and the waitress said the bartenders (It looked like there were 2 working) had an order of 3 margaritas in front of his beer they were making. Really? Pouring a beer takes 5-10 seconds!! Why not do that before making those Margaritas? And how long does it take to make 3 margaritas?? Our chips were very stale like they were made a couple of days ago. They ARE homemade but definitely not FRESH made. I ordered a chicken burrito and my husband ordered a Mexican Hamburguesa which their menu states as this: "A 1/4 lb hamburger patty, beans & cheese folded into a flour tortilla and smothered with your choice of chile." He specifically asked for it twice without cheese. Our food took about 20 min which seemed a little long for the amount of people in there, but when it came out my order was correct, however my husbands was completely wrong. It was a hamburger patty WITH CHEESE on a bun with lettuce tomato and a side of fries. Not at all what he ordered, or at least not what their menu said. So he told the waitress he wanted no cheese and this didn't look like what was described on the menu. She showed him her tablet that she entered the order as he requested but the kitchen messed up. So she took it back, but before she took it back I asked her to put in an order of their sopapilla sticks so they would be ready by the time we finished eating (we learned from our last time there to order those right away as they took almost 20 minutes to get last time). When my husbands order was brought back out it was obvious they simply scraped the cheese off and cooked it a little longer to cook off the rest of the cheese. If they had made a new one it would have taken longer. And when they brought it back out it was again on a bun with lettuce and tomato and fries on the side. Again, not what the menu said. So the Manager came out and apologized and said they were training a new cook and she would get it corrected. By the time he got his food I was done eating and our 2 year old was not going to last any longer so we asked to have it to go. At this point I would think they should have taken HIS meal off the check considering how many times they had to "fix" it and that he was now no longer going to be able to eat the meal at the restaurant, instead they offered to take off our dessert. Which I had already ordered anyhow and was a mere $5.00 in comparison to his $9.50 meal. Regardless, after that disaster and the 2 previous less than stellar visits we won't be back. Its obvious their waitstaff and kitchen staff don't have a clue what they are doing. I was really hopeful for this place, but I just don't see how they will make it with service and food mistakes like that. I guess maybe they are banking on a lot of people coming in to drink??? Unfortunately for us, their food just isn't good enough to justify the less than stellar bar and wait service and slow kitchen.

My second visit here, after a drive back from Longmont (about 40 mins) and getting 3 orders to go: the food was prepared quickly, but unfortunately it wasn't made right: while ordering the locos burrito with pork, it was still served with ground beef, but luckily my two sons orders were made correctly. The food isn't bad (not to say great) but I definitely see this as more of a bar scene; karaoke nights, sports tv, a big bar, and mediocre food. Emilio's has potential and ingenuity, they just need to push themselves harder!

First off I think yelp is a joke, I'm only writing a review because I feel bad for small businesses that get bashed. Yelp is for complainers that watch too many episodes of hells kitchens are now experts. I love this place we get food to go from here alot and absolutely love food!!! If you aren't willing to expand your taste buds then you should probably stick to a chain resturant. This place is FAMILY owned which means it's family recipes they are not going to taste like anyother place. Worth checking out

Went yesterday for happy hour and the waitress was very unfriendly. This was our first time trying a new local restaurant close to home. Not only was the service very slow the margarita was all sweet and sour mix. The beef tacos tasted like beef jerky. Over all not very impressed.

  • Tara A.

The location is pretty cool and I can understand it's new but they have a long way to go. I was hoping that the service was slow because they were taking their time to make a really good meal but no... They got my order wrong twice and I feel like I would have gotten a better meal from the taco stand. G's across the street is much better and a lot more affordable. On a good note my Margarita was really good! Hopefully they will make drastic improvements over the next few months.

I enjoyed the gluten free green chili and the house margaritas were good. The nachos I ordered were sub par but I was willing to by pass that since they were only 8 bucks. This particular day, Emilio's was on their 3rd day of opening. I wasn't expecting great service knowing that they were probably trying to figure everything out being newly opened. However, I still was a little surprised at the time it took to get things rolling with our waiter. At the end of our meal, my husband and I sat around for a while trying to get our waiter's attention to get the check. At no avail, we started putting on our jackets to send a hint that we were ready to go. A woman quickly ran over to our table and asked if we were ready for our check. She apologized for the wait but then jokingly asked if we were trying to get out without paying. Or was she joking? I sure hope so. Take home lesson for the day: Don't insult the customer who's standing in front of you with his debit card in his hand ready to pay for your mediocre service.

We had lunch at Emilio's today. I had the chicken burrito with mild green chili which I loved. My husband had a beef and bean burrito with hot green chili. We both loved our lunches. The chips and salsa were delicious. I gave them five stars although the service was slow when we first arrived. We can't wait to try the breakfast burritos! The patio looks like a fun spot and we look forward to warmer weather because we are patio people! Our waitress was great even though she was slow in the beginning. We will definitely be back. It felt like a place where we will belong. Good food, good prices, and a patio! Win/win/win!

This was my fourth visit. I was meeting up with a friend I hadn't seen in a while, and wanted somewhere low key. Well, last night wasn't low key, they had a huge party, (40-50) folks and they were really loud, but having fun and enjoying themselves. (isn't that what going out is all about). So we endured. Our service was spot on, and food came out regular paced (which took some effort considering the large party). It just reminded me of how a local hot spot should be run. Great job. Oh by the way the food, was amazing! I went with the Loco burrito, (the special on Tuesday) and was totally pleased. Looking forward to some patio sitting once the weather gets better, that way when there is a large crowd, and you can't hear yourself think, you can move it on outside.

It's interesting reading the other reviews... Emilios could definitely stand to work out some of the kinks with service, but other than that, it was quite good! The salsa was not spicy unfortunately, but really tasty! Burritos were so good and it was nice to discover this place in the neighborhood!

Okay, where to start.. First, most of these reviews are correct. I did not have much trouble with the service but the food just unacceptable. The chips do seem as though they are from a bag. They also seem to save money by taking all the broken chips at the bottom of the bag and then serve them to you as part of the salsa and chips they give everyone. So I ordered a Margarita and I had to wonder why there seemed to be no Tequila in there. I have to say one of the worst Margs I have ever had. They love to showcase their many bottles of expensive Tequila at the bar but I am guessing they are only for show and not actually used to make a drink. Lastly, I will say this, all we ordered was the nachos. How in earth do you mess up nachos I thought, that should be safe, right?? Noooo. Absolutely the worst nachos I have ever had. And this is a Mexican restaurant!!! They poured so much green Chile sauce on them that the bottom 3rd of the nachos were all soggy. There was a puddle on the plate. Not to mention the green Chile sauce should not be so runny that it would look like soup. There was barely any cheese, the meat tasted like it was not really meat, and the seasoning was nothing more than half a bottle of black pepper poured on top. Just horrible. I will never go back. I would estimate that they will not be in business more than 6 months, 1 year at best. Don't waste you time and money here is my advise.

My husband and I visited Emilios for lunch on a Saturday. We sat at the bar which was not that busy, but the patio looked full. They seemed to be a bit short handed because It took a while to get menus and water. I thought that both the chips and salsa had good flavor but the chips were a bit to thick for me personally. We both ordered one of their burritos smothered in the hot green chili. Mine had chicken and my husbands had ground beef. The food is a good size portion with lots of chili and meat, which we loved, but the chili and the meat seemed a little underseasoned. Overall I think this place is a great addition to the area and will only get better the longer they are open. Their Happy Hour margarita prices looked great so we will be trying that next time for sure.

Couldn't have imagined a better restaurant for our family. We were warmly greeted, kids received chairs, chips, and cups with lids right away, and the food was the best Mexican food we've had north of the border. And $6 bottomless mimosas? We'll definitely be back.

Delicious, fun & friendly. It was my first time in and they took care of me. Offered free sample of 'Luna shine', FANTASTIC! Food was great. Service top notch. Gonna come back for Friday night karaoke.

With all the Mexican restaurant options in the area I don't believe this place will fair well. We had a waitress that clearly did not care to be there and the food was bland and "out of the can" tasting. A overall clean looking place and a nice patio area outside. Might be a great place to just grab a beer and watch a game.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque.
