This place is simply fantastic. Awesome staff and amazing coffee. I'm not much for the "flavored" drinks and was blown away by the complexity of their simple brewed coffee. Deep, buttery, bold and with a hint of citrus. No burnt flavor like some of the national chains. I also tried their "Lonestar Latte" which had cayenne. Phenomenal! Easily the best coffee in Vail.

Nice coffee, check! Great location, check! Friendly staff, check! Interesting custom coffee drinks, check! Indoor and outdoor seating, check! You're paying a little more than regular prices for the Vail location, but not much: medium Mountain Mint latte (chocolate and mint added to latte): $5.50. Regular drip coffee: $3.50.

Love finding places that aren't Starbucks! This place did not disappoint. The only thing that would make it perfect is if they served coconut milk as a non-dairy option, so much better than almond or soy! The Lonestar was perfection, that spice was incredible. Views are picturesque.

This is a gem in Vail Village - perfect for a cozy breakfast or a winter warmer. In addition to delicious coffee and tea, they also feature a solid selection of food items: gluten free pastries, breakfast burritos, yogurt, oatmeal, fresh juices, plus a bunch of bars. I stumbled in for a mid day pick up (I may have been a touch hungover) and had an almond milk cappuccino that totally hit the spot. When waiting for my drink, I looked over the menu and decided it would be our breakfast spot for the following morning- the green chile breakfast burrito and the gluten free lemon poppy seed bread (both recommendations of the barista) were top notch.

We stopped in at Yeti's Grind for a boost of energy after shopping all day. I orders the Italian Stallion (white chocolate And caramel latte) And my husband had the Lonestar (chocolate, with a dash of spiciness latte). It was definitely better than Starbucks, which we usually gravitate towards (go with what ya know, right?). We were able to sit outside and enjoy the view while we sipped our lattes. Great location and unique and tasty flavors.

This is a gem of a coffee shop nestled within Vail, and is probably now my favorite that I've come across in Colorado thus far. Yesterday as we were heading back east from Beaver, all the traffic ended up getting diverted because I-70 was shut down due to weather and multiple accidents (surprise!). We decided to turn around and just chill at Vail for a bit and ended up at Yeti's Grind on the suggestion of someone in our party. Entered the shop and was greeted by a very friendly staff person at the counter. Was taken aback by how young she looked, and thought I'd test her barista chops by ordering a flat white. No hesitation as she flashed a smile and said she'd have it right out. Wandered over to a seat while surveying the surroundings. Very clean, cozy, dimly lit interior with plenty of tables. Nice touch was two large screen TVs playing a couple of NBA games in HD. They also have free wifi which was quite fast. My drink came out, and color me impressed! Flat white was made superbly; perfectly pulled espresso, ideal milk:espresso ratio, evenly distributed throughout, and a silky smooth finish - absolute perfection. Yeti's Grind is the real deal, and their baristas are top notch. Next time in the area, will definitely be back!

The service at Yeti's was really great, and I like that their menu choices vary on such a wide scale. You can do your usual coffees--latte, mocha, cappuccino--and they aren't too sweet. The White Mocha was my favorite from this menu. Then their specialty drinks are really great too, if you like sweeter coffee. Italian Stallion was delicious! The feel of Yeti's is super chill and relaxing with their seating and low lighting. Without a doubt, I'll come back here if I ever find myself in Vail again.

It's the BEST coffee shop in Vail, hands down. Cool vibe, great coffee. My absolute favorite latte is the Italian Stallion. Sure, they have pastries too, even breakfast burritos (which I hear are awesome) but seriously, the reason I'm there is the coffee. And I went back for more each day I was in town!

The only reason this place stays in business is the location. They have the best piece of real estate in Vail Village. The coffee is nothing compared to other non-sbux joints around the country. The biggest issue they have though is their speed. Give yourself a good 15 minutes to get a drink made even when there is only one other person ahead of you. Don't even bother ordering any of their breakfast food unless you have a ton of time. Most of the staff is nice, but there are definitely a few hiring mistakes that are rude and bothered by customers. Unfortunately, the only other option is Starbucks in the Village so given this place's location they'll be around for a while, as they have already, despite their ridiculous prices.

Great Place!! So good love the chocolatine and the strawberry smoothie! This is a great little place- it has a great location in the heart of Vail! Their latte's are great- some of the best I've had. Why settle for Starbucks in Lionshead when you can come here? This is totally a locals spot but tourists are definitely welcome here!

Environment is cool. Coffee was burnt and the beard behind the counter is a doucher..couldn't be bothered to give a suggestion.

Went into this place and the meanest LB girl took my order, got it wrong, said she would exchange it and then charged me again.. Had the WORST attitude and we even tipped her... Such an LB

The place does coffee so right. Our faves are the lonestar (extra espresso less sweet) and karma nut (not too sweet, perfect nuttiness)

My love for yetis is not a secret. I tell everyone how great this place is. It is by far the best coffee that I've ever had--this includes Starbucks, Loaded Joes, bookworm, and countless other coffee shops across the United States. It is a bit pricey--six dollars for a large specialty latte--but this is understandable considering what they must pay to rent space right in the heart of the Vail Village. This place is always packed to the point that finding a seat is Jen really difficult. However, most customers are only grabbing coffee to go so seating opens up very quickly. One thing that is highly impressive about this yet is location is how quickly you receive your drink. Their service is FAST! You would think the number of people in there would result in a much greater wait; this is simply not the case. They sell yetis apparel there and I can't believe I'm saying this but it's actually pretty cool stuff. Yetis is located on the ground level of the Solaris building I'm assuming they do not validate for parking in the Solaris , so your best bet is to park in The main-Vail public parking structure. it's definitely worth going a little out of your way to stop here. I love this place!

This coffee shop has personality! Hip yet inviting. Latte was a work of art. We were there during Sunday open-air market, so we sat on the patio and listened to the Jazz Festival performance right in front of us. What could be better?

Could be one of the best coffees I had all year. Based in the heart of "New" Vail this small coffee shop really knows how to make a cup. Not too bitter not too sweet the coffee blend is just right. So forget your Starbucks and try this out you will be glad you did. Also as a tip if you think your going to park in the paid parking and get out before your free 7 or 10 minutes or so its not going to happen so don't fall for it or you will have to pay an extra $7 for your pop into to get a cuppa joe.

Salted Cocomel Latte. Just get it. Trust me. Coconut, caramel, and salt. This drink was heaven. If you're not into coconut.. get it anyway because you can barely taste the coconut. The espresso was very good, not bitter at all, but strong. I was really surprised that you could taste a little bit of salt in every sip. Most places, you can't taste the salt or there's too much, but this place did it just right. Writing about it makes me want another one right now. The store also has a bunch of local items that we saw being sold at the Farmer's Market. I'm guessing this is a good way to get some of your favorite items at the Farmers Market during their off season.

Good coffee, comfortable atmosphere, and free wifi. Not a bad place to pass some time. We stopped in while on a road trip that took us through Vail. We warmed up with coffee drinks and did a little work online. Recommended.

Nice vibe, just had a brewed cup for here and it was good by Colorado standards. (You can't compare every coffee place to Coava or Heart in Portland.)

My kind of coffee spot. This is a perfect place to take a book or laptop to study/work and relax. Plenty of space, lots of comfy seating. Cozy (brick/timber) atmosphere. Has a few TV's which they graciously changed to a football game for me on Sunday. Staff are really chill and nice. The latte's and chai's are awesome. My GF and I look for places like this everywhere we go and it became our spot to go for a few hours each day and relax. Their secret here is the breakfast burritos. The menu is extremely limited but ont be fooled. I was expecting a pre-made tin foil burrito but I was delightfully surprised (they are loaded with goodness and are made in their panini press). These are a must to try-you wont be disappointed!!!!

Wha'?! Homemade Twinkie? Oh yea. You too can capture that nostalgic childhood lunchbox dessert experience WITHOUT the plastic ingredients. They look like Twinkies. They smell like Twinkies. They taste kinda like Twinkies, but better. Coffee is awesome. Service is uber-friendly and helpful. Atmosphere is chill coffee shop vibe. I also recommend the raspberry coffee cake (made by the same Twinkie baker) and the chocolate croissant. Pop by in the a.m. for a cup of caffeine or in the afternoon for an adult beverage. They've also got some Yeti's Grind merch if you like to impulse buy.

Great coffee in the heart of Vail. If you're sick of paying $6 for a mediocre latte at Starbucks (don't get me wrong, I like Starbucks as much as the next guy, but the prices they're charging in Vail are out of control). Get your coffee in a "to stay" cup for the full experience, grab a table inside or outside if it's nice, order a pastry (try the pumpkin bread...it's great) or cupcake and fuel up for a long day of outdoor activities

    (4)
  • Brooke K.

Absolute best pumpkin latte I've ever had and my husband, a non coffee drinker enjoyed a Mountain Mint hot cocoa! Service was great, my barista made beautiful latte art on my drink and the free wifi was much appreciated to book our trip on the Georgetown Loop RR? Gorgeous bagged, local roasted coffee is available for purchase and the little abominable snowmen everywhere make you want to stay all day! Pass up the Starbucks down the road and come on into Yeti's, they will not disappoint!

Coffee is art here! I do love the cupcakes and sandwiches to! I used to be here everyday till I started working in Avon... I miss this place just about everyday... Still go as much as I can when I am in Vail or Eagle!!

Great little hideaway with reasonable prices on everything...I mistakenly ordered a macciatto and the clerk happily took it back in trade on something more along my liking...pleasant staff, efficient and nice location.

Great Coffee Great Atmosphere! They server coffee from the locally owned & operated coffee roaster. ( cityonahillcoffee.com ) Grab some coffee or hot beverage in the AM or after sherd the mountain! It is right in the village close by the transportation center, right across from the ice skate rink by the BOL! They also have Wine to serve as well! Yeti's stuffed animals are so cute. they got tshirt and goods too.

The BEST coffee in Vail Village! The have such a great menu and their coffee is to die for. It is addicting too!! The only disappointment is that they don't have blended coffee drinks. I would love the hazelnut blended!!

  • Robert M.

I'll make this one short and sweet. The drip coffee is some of the best I have ever had. The "Italian Stallion" is better than anything you will ever get at Starbucks. The pastries and cupcakes are out of this world. The service is quick and the location is close to the many hotels located within Vail Village. If you haven't stopped in here yet, do it! I have been here every day since I arrived in Vail and have no interest in looking for another coffee location.

  • Joshua S.

Good coffee joint, warm atmosphere. Staff seemed a little uninterested, but did their job. Expensive. 16oz latte for $5, but not ridiculous for Vail. I would encourage this shop to use a source other than syrup for their mocha's.

  • Sammi R.

Convenient coffee place while you're in the Vail Village. Its literally right in the center by the ice skating rink. it gets pretty busy late morning so if you're looking for a place to sit or do work come early. I had a large chai latte and a green chili and potato burrito. Not bad! Not the greatest either. Staff was nice but not too friendly. The WiFi wasn't great either which was a bit of a bummer because I was trying to do business and it took a while for some websites and pics to load which is frustrating. I also was extremely annoyed the staff kept propping the door open even after several customers would finally shut it. Its April in the mountains, cmon guys, if people want to cool down they will stand outside. No one wants a cold breeze blowing on them while they're trying to enjoy their coffee inside and sit down and relax. If you're right in Vail Village, and you need coffee or a place to sit down for a bit and do work, come here. Otherwise I wouldnt bother.

  • Jeff S.

Great local coffee shop in Vail Village. They have a wide variety of coffee and tea-based beverages, as well as some enticing food options. They have some seating inside and a great outside seating area as well right next to the ice rink. A great place to relax and watch the villagers hustle and bustle, or for your first cup of the day.

  • Bratzo H.

Best coffee shop in town by far. Great coffee and they understand the difference between a cappuccino and a latte. Good pastries too. Nice place to sit and enjoy. Highly recommended.

I state this on many reviews but each category deserves a rating for that category. What do I mean? For example, a Five star rating on $ does not mean that the food is better than two stars on $$$ establishment. It is about the value at each $ category. Ok, about the coffee, they got it, really got it. Even supposed be sweet drinks are only subtle sweet. Americano was done right consistently, meaning people making drinks know, really know art of coffee making. Food however, though well made, was just fine. Then again, this is a coffee house, not a breakfast joint. May be adjust the price on food items lower or offer more? Though at the end, it really should be 5 starts for coffee and coffee drinks.

  • Justin L.

Very good coffee and espresso. I wouldn't classify this as a hidden gem, however: it's in the heart of town, right next to the outdoor ice rink, in the same complex as one of the public parking structures. And it isn't the most relaxed space, since it's small and tends to get crowded both with take-out and for-here orders. But I guess it all adds to the coziness... which, honestly, isn't hard to achieve. It's like Bob Dylan sang many years ago, "Come in, she said, I'll give you shelter from the storm." Well, step in from the cold and warm up with some caffeine before hitting the slopes again.

  • Aleksandra K.

Unfortunately I was not impressed by this place. It was a long wait with average drinks. They did not have a large variety of pastries, which I was really looking forward to. Outside there were numerous screaming children running around which made it impossible to sit outside and relax while enjoying our coffee.

If this is coffee, than I do not know what I've been drinking all these years. Blew the doors off my regular go to joe. Really recommend stopping by.

Four stars might be a bit generous, but it's the best coffee shop in Vail so... Great snack options, espresso based drinks are good, drip coffee is lacking.

went there twice and every time my latte rocked . the pastries were good too . they did a great job with that spot .

Had an Americano that was not good at all. It tasted like coffee rather than an espresso...yuk. Loaded Joe's has much better quality espresso. They had some quionoa snack bars that were excellent. The staff was very friendly, unfortunately their espresso just isn't very good.

Best coffee shop in the Vail Valley, hands down! If you are visiting Vail (or Downtown Eagle if you're flying in or out of Vail) and want what may very well be the best coffee you have ever tasted, get to Yeti's Grind. No joke, when our NYC and LA and European friends visit, they rave about this coffee. And you won't find a cooler atmosphere. Wood floors, free wi-fi, just enough big screen TV's to catch up on life outside the paradise known as Vail, friendly service, all kinds of delectable treats in addition to the large menu of coffee drinks will ensure you stop here every time you need your java fix. Locally owned and operated by Tara and Nate, make sure to get to Yeti's when you're in town. You won't regret it!

Awesome location, great environment, wonderful coffee and pastries! This is the perfect place to plug into wifi, chill on the couches and even watch TV. Highly recommend for the low-key, relaxed atmosphere and nice staff!

  • Mashka I.

excellent: -delicious coffee - everything I've ordered tastes fantastic -people - friendly and helpful -wifi works -multiple tvs - in case you'd like a game in the background while you're working -location - right in the middle of village in front of the ice rink/astroturf -patio seats - on a nice day, there aren't enough! -food options: breakfast items, Noosa yogurt, gluten-free goodies, and more could be better: -hours: vary by season, and closes too early for me! so basically, it's perfect and I wish it were always open :)
