Love their boca burger with all the fixings! The cheese fries are good too! This is not a place to go if you're watching what you eat but it's so good! :-)

Typical "Oldies style", Restaurant! Good food, breakfast is eggcellant, lunch and dinner is alright. Wednesday is 5 cent hamburger night, but one at regular price and the second is a nickel! It is a pretty good hamburger. The Elvis fries are pretty good as well, smothered with sausage gravy and cheese. All in all, I highly recommend this place for breakfast. Go to LivingSocial.com for $15 you can purchase 3-$10 vouchers, good deal!

Pretty much the best shakes you can get anywhere. Nothing here for you health food lovers but that's not why I'm here. Lucy gave me great service and never saw her with out a smile! Atmosphere was very 50's which was a nice feel.

Really long wait times. Found hair in our fried pickles. Had to waive down the waitress twice to get missing food that I'm pretty sure Denny's does better! Bathroom was dirty. Sticky floors and broken toilet paper dispenser in the women's restroom. Worse, this experience cost over $80 for 5 people. Not worth the price!

When I first reviewed this place, it was for another location that has since closed. But THIS is the one I'm talking about. My first review was in 2008. One of my comments was about how they were too stingy with the Polish sausage in my favorite dish, the Red-Hot Momma Scramble. Had it here yesterday, and GUESS WHAT? Needed a microscope to find said sausage, AND there was NO CHEESE! Had to ask for a side of frackin' cheese. We sat at the counter, 'cause the only table was across from a little, screamin' tricycle motor, y'all know how I love those, but we still had to endure the help making a HUGE stinkin' deal over some other little dude's birthday, and singing the godawful, stupid non-"Happy Birthday" song. Now, we usually come here as a pit-stop before going in to do battle at Costco, but I am REALLY getting tired of this place's consistently lackluster execution on the food. It's too bad, because on the RARE occasion they actually do it RIGHT, the Red-Hot Momma Scramble is the BOMB. Service is always (overly) friendly, but I think another breakfast stop is finally in order. Too bad the only other thing out this way is Village Inn, but just may have to give it a try. Maybe I should just do a $1.50 hotdog at Costco.

Not bad for a 50's gimmick diner. The hits blaring from the jukebox made me smile and so did the 'Lip Check" station. This is basically a mirror and you can watch all the waitresses walk by it and slap on a generous coating of red lipstick to their lips. We had burgers, fries and malts, just like on Happy Days! Our son had a blast! Gonna have to come back and try their breakfast since Yelp says it's better than lunch. The only negative thing was the Mexican short order cook barking out orders on the intercom. Sounds like he has Turrets! No one understands you, Dude! No Wi-Fi.

Why do I go here? I always ask myself this when I leave. Was a time I could tolerate the place but now the food is just nasty.

Love the sweet potato fries. To bad they can't get them to you before they get icky from sitting under a heat lamp.. My spouse and I saw them sitting under the heat lamp for 10 min till our server brought them to us.

Great atmosphere, great food, excellent service. This is a regular stop when we visit the area.

If you are looking for something remotely "healthy" go to Wendys. The service will be faster, better tasting food and the price a lot more reasonable. I went to Gunther Toody's for the first and most likely last time. The atmosphere is a trendy 50's retro look but there seems to be mostly very young inexperienced wait staff. Could not find anything that is remotely healthy. Yeah I know I'm from Boulder but really this is bad. I ordered the Club Car salad which is a so-called chicken fillet on a bed of green stuff which is mostly head lettuce. Yuck, who eats a salad with head lettuce anymore???? The chicken way overcooked that I could hardly chew it, again yuck! I found 2 little spouts, really just two and few slices of cucumber. The only thing tasty was a fresh baked blueberry muffin and gee I could get a dozen of those little guys at King Soops! So all I can say is save your money and your stomach, stay away, far far away!!

Used to love this place (albeit not this location) when I was younger...Boy how your taste mature. The joint is really worn, everything from the tables to the menus and condoments on the table. The service was alright, no issues. The food on the other hand, was bad. The burger and fries were soggy and damp.

My wife and I come by here from time to time as a change-up to other breakfast places. The food is typical of most diners; it's not spectacular and it's not bad, considering the cost. The service is always good too. I always get the corned-beef hash, which tastes exactly like the stuff you get from a can from the grocery store. Don't expect the real stuff, but I like it. On my last visit, I came for lunch and had the club sandwich. It was pretty good.

Family and I stopped in here for lunch, and we're really glad we did. Wife and I are trying to watch our girly figures (mostly I'm trying not to get a big old beer belly while I'm watching her figure... but I digress), but still love our "junk" food - Like Burger, Shake and Fries. The kids got milk shakes, and loved them (are you surprised?). While the wife and I both got malts/shakes and substituted their fat free yogurt for ice cream. Not sure how many fat and calories it saved us, but considering the ice cream part was fat free it should have been a noticeable decrease. While you could tell it wasn't ice cream, it was still good, and meet that "Shake" need. The daughter got their mac-n-cheese, she wanted breakfast but they only serve that until 11am... a reason why I am dropping a star, it was Kraft mac-n-cheese so she was happy. The boy got the Double Decker Club, and between that, the fries, and the shake he was full... not an easy feat to accomplish BTW. I got the Guacamole Jalapeno Burger, and substituted the turkey burger for the normal patty. The Jalapeno's were spicy, and the guac was tasty. The turkey burger didn't change the flavor enough to not make me think "Burger". I don't know how many, if any, calories it saved but it was at least avoiding beef - something I tend to eat too much of, so this was a good thing for my colon. My wife got the Green Chili Burger, and she couldn't eat the Jalapeno's as they were a little too spicy for her... her spicy meter varies, where mine is always pegged way to high. She also sub'd the turkey for the beef patty. We had a new waitress, who was not unleashed upon us with out being supervised. So we had a very pleasant service experience. All and all I was very happy and satisfied with our visit. I really liked they gave us options for cutting out some fat and calories while still making good food. The reason for 4 stars is: 1) Breakfast only until 11am... Come on... the 80's called they want their service back. Breakfast should be served all day! 2) No nutritional information - or at least none that I could find.

Great service, clean environment, very bad tasting food. I have only eaten here for breakfast a few times and each time I try something different. The food is just not good, not much else to say other than that. Go to the village inn next door if you really want breakfast, not that much better but the food tastes much better.

I like the $3.00 Breakfast special. Throw in a $3.00 tip and a glass of water and you have a good breakfast for $6.00 out the door. The Wednesday night buy a burger get one for a nickel is a good deal too. The burgers (including grilled chicken) are scrumt-diddly-umtious.

Can't beat the prices, food is nothing to write about - but the breakfast is good. Ask for Roxy or Fast Eddy for great service.

Do yourself a favor- stay away. We were given a choice when we entered- we could sit at a dirty table or a clean table. I'm serious. We chose the clean table which, apparently, was the wrong choice. We received exactly three sets of silverware for a table of seven, and found that a few utensils were dirty from use. We were seated under the PA system which blasted music and would occasionally have some lady screeching whatever was being 86'd. We were joined by a swarm of flies, and what little conversation we might have been able to have was drowned out by the loud ass hand driers from the restroom just off our table. And, as one might expect from a 50s diner, the food was pretty bad. When the waitress asked how everything was, of course I let loose. I explained to her exactly why I was unhappy. She kept trying to get me to talk to the manager, that maybe they can give me a coupon for a later date. The conversation went like this: Me: "You don't get it. You should treat each customer as a first time customer which, coincidentally, we are. We will not be coming back. Save your coupons." Her: "We would hate to lose a customer over this." Me: "Look at it this way- before today, we weren't customers. After today, we won't be customers. How about you just call it a wash?" Her: "Well, I talked to the manager already, and he said next time you shouldn't pick a table by the restroom." WHAT?!? Seriously. Stay away. You can thank me later. Maybe over beers.

This is a solid spot for breakfast or lunch, but beyond the decorations its nothing to write home about. Colorado seems to have a distinct lack of diners, when I lived on the east coast there was a greasy spoon on every corner, so out here I suppose we take what we can get. The food is good, decent portions, and served quickly. Our server made us feel a bit rushed by just dropping a check, even though we did want to take something to go. Its reasonably priced, and easy to get to. If i'm hungry, in the area and want to sit down its a great place, but dont make a special trip for it.

Love the food here but the tables were dirty, ketchup and mustard were completely empty at our table, and the seats were seriously worn down. Maybe give the store a thorough cleaning and update.

Burger, chocolate malt and cheese fries. Old time diner, better than fast food.

Always a crowd pleaser. Breakfasts are better than lunches, but the atmosphere and daily specials hit the spot. Be ready to be taken back to a simpler time!

What a shame. We went here on the suggestion of a friend and am now thinking about rethinking our friendship. What an awful experience. The staff was uninterested by me and my family's arrivial and seemed to have much better things to do then come talk to us. We we served by commitee. and a bad committee at that. When our food was finally deliver from the kitchen our food was mixed up with another tables and the server actually tried to take the food off of the other table that the person had been eating off of and bring it to my wife. Then when they did bring us the right food they brought me french fries A LA big black hair. URH IRH. when we pointed this out the server took the fries away with out so much as an i am sorry or any offer to do any thing about it -- i did not even rate any more fries. -- my burger was so under cooked as to be inedible and the server was troubled when she had to do little things like bring me the check. 40 dollars for 2 bites of food - no tip -- no return trip stay away that is all i can say thanks Rob

Gunter Toody's is a good place to stop for dessert, but not much else. Their food is average American food and their decorations are not anything special. I would suggest stopping in only after dinner.

I would actually give this 3.5 stars if that were an option. The burgers, shakes, and fries are good and the atmosphere is neat - fairly authentic 50's style diner. If you like Johnny Rockets and don't have one nearby, this is a good option.

Tried this place the other day and we were pleasantly surprised. Large menus with lots of options. We both opted for burgers and fries. Hubby had chili fries, and I had cheese fries. Everything was great. Service was prompt and friendly. We will go back. :)

I have to say it was pleasing, and I wanted to go back for breakfast this morning. I had the fried Catfish, and fries, with the soup of the evening, it was aaamazing~! A little on the pricey side, but that area is pricey anyway. I have to say though it was great, good food, great people, good service, nice and clean.

Yuk! I guess they never heard of toilet seat covers. They sure don't offer them. Or paper towels in their bathrooms. If your not going to have paper towels, at least have a swinging door. The bench seats at the booth are horrible. Like you're falling into them, very uncomfortable.

Giving this a 3 just because it's a 50s style diner. Restaurant was clean and the service was excellent. We were not super hungry and our waitress guided us thru the menu to a combo that could be split. She even split the malted (excellent) making 1 half choc and other half vanilla. Food was good and service fast. I'm sure we will be back.

My father took my kids & me here on a whim of nostalgia since according to him I loved Gunther Toody's as a kid. I don't remember it at all so I must have been younger than my kids are now. Service could definitely improve. Our waitress was slow to even introduce herself & take orders. Sadly it seemed like all the staff was on the same speed. We all had cheeseburgers & I order a reese's peanut butter malt. The food was good & the malt was delicious. The decor is cheesy & the staff was blah. But we'll mostly likely be back. Affordable good food. Fingers crossed that it was just an off day for the staff. We're all human

Stopped in for a rendezvous with a local friend while we were passing through. What a cute little diner! Complete with all the 50-60's trappings: songs on the jukebox, waitresses that call you "Hon" and real live malteds! Friend got a malted, Giant and I both got burgers. Who knew? On Wednesdays, it's BOGO burger day. And they rocked! If you get the green chile burger, be aware that it's Colorado style green chili (not with an "e") and it's goopy. But it's really good!

If you have a latex allergy you do not want to eat here as both wait staff and kitchen staff wear latex gloves and when you try to explain latex allergies to the staff, they look at you dumbfounded as if they've never heard of latex allergies before and they're completely clueless.
