What a charming little gem in Silt... Ashton was our waitress and she was so sweet. She had great knowledge of their products and helped us with what we could order because food allergies. As a restaurateur I truly appreciated the menu and service. I recommend this place even if your passing by to another destination

I've driven past Silt for years, and never even slowed down. We recently camped nearby and stopped in town for firewood. We were captivated by this charming small town and literally stumbled upon Miner's Claim. We abandoned our plan for cooking dinner and ate here. The food was delicious and the service great. Our server was a real pro; was very helpful and knowledgeable. We'll likely start to build Silt into any travel plan that involves long transits on I-70.

Don't miss this spot in Silt! Right off of I-70 they serve steak and seafood with a twist. Great martini selection, GREAT atmosphere, friendly service. Oh yeah, the food. Be adventurous here! If it sounds interesting order it. You won't be disappointed! Steaks are all cooked to perfection, the andouille pasta is a flavor explosion, and you can't go wrong with any of the appetizers.

Who knew in this little town that I would find such an amazing place to eat?! While out on the motorcycle for a nice weekend ride, we detoured to Silt, CO for the night. Upon recommendation from the hotel staff we ventured out to Miners Cafe for dinner. The atmosphere is absolutely stellar. The outdoor fire pit and porch seating is beautiful.... the fire was just perfect for us. Our server was pleasant, knowledgeable, friendly, and gave some great recommendations. We started with some amazing mozzarella and tomato sticks with a balsamic reduction. Our salads were amazing - the soy balsamic dressing was delicious !!! recommended the petite tenderloin and the chicken burgendy- although the chicken dish was full of creamy buttery flavor - it was a bit much for me, but it was still great, the vegetables were delicious though as was the rice. The tenderloin was enjoyed and was cooked as requested. The drinks... they were amazing!! The Strawberry Patch Martini was delightfully fresh! It was amazing ! Would recommend the drink again!! We will be coming back again when making our way through town... would recommend it to anyone who needs a great dinner!!!

I loved the steak. I will definitely be stopping here to eat again, whenever I travel to Las Vegas or California for IBJJF tournaments or any other travel. The great service is always a plus.

My wife and I ate there three nights in a row and every meal was fantastic. We had the Ahi tuna, 14 oz. rib eye steak, Kobi beef burger, New youk Strip Steak, blue cheese burger. Everything eas 5 stars. Our waitress Kim was absolutely wonderful. We will definitely eat there again, when we are in the area.

I've eaten here several times over the last 9 or 10 years and have always had great service and great food. And by the way; I wouldn't trust any reviewer who eats dinner at 4:30 in the afternoon. ...Next time stay at the old folks home and belt out reviews based on ease of chewing. Miners Claim is a quality restaurant, with good service, an interesting atmosphere, and the right price point to boot.

Crab legs weren't the greatest. But the service was great and the atmosphere is really nice. A date worthy place in my opinion. Cool building with a very interesting layout. I don't think I will order seafood next time though.

We arrived a few minutes after five (they open at 5) and were asked if we had reservations! We did not, and we had to wait while they tried to figure out if they could seat us. They did seat us outside which was really nice and a great atmosphere. Service was friendly, but wouldn't win any speed awards. Plus, we had to ask for everything and had to ask twice for salt and pepper since there was none on the table, and asked 3 times for a "to go" box. Between us, we had the filet mignon and the pasta with sausage, and added shrimp. Filet was fair, the little medallions were each cooked differently - one medium, one med rare, one one med well. (I ordered it med rare.). The flavor was good but some parts were too tough to chew. I paid $27 for a filet mignon so it would be tender so I was a little disappointed. Pasta was good, but a little bit dry with not enough sauce. Good flavor. Overall, food was good and service was fair. Bill for 2 people was 69.72.

Food was EXCELLENT! Service was slooooow... I basically had to beg for a refill on my water. I give it 4 Stars for such awesome food though... I will be back.

What an amazing gem! Silt has a fantastic place to hang out. Christen the owner was great. He has created an amazing atmosphere and an over the top Tuesday night 2 for 1 martini bar with over 50 options. An outdoor fire pit and an excellent menu and chef. Very impressed. I thought Silt was a drive by exit.... Now I will make it a destination.

Christian owns the place and is THE MAN making all the delicious martinis! He is so hands on and down to earth! This place is my hubby's and my new favorite date night spot! Gooooooo! You'll only regret it if you don't go!

Good food and good drinks, especially when it's 2-for-1 martini night (Tuesdays). Friendly staff and a nice rustic feel. Always a favorite when we're back in Colorado! If you're in the area or passing through on I-70, make sure you stop in for a good time.

This is a great, solid resturant in a cute, little small town silt. Pros: Everything was wonderful and I had a ribeye and filet mignonette both times and loved them even though I generally hate ribeye. My son and wife had the Cajun Style Penne and it was to die for. Next time we stop in silt I am sure to have this. Cons: The waitress was friendly' but seemed pretty uncomfortable. My mother-in-law had asked for Prosecco and she had no idea what it was and had to get the manager even though they had it when we were there. Finally, it is great food but is a little to hard on the wallet and imho it was way overpriced. All in all, a great solid 4 star dish.

This place is fantastic. My boyfriend and I just returned from dinner there and I was blown away. The prices are very reasonable for the high quality of food (and culinary talent put into it). Our waitress was welcoming, attentive and genuinely nice. I had the pork tenderloin cooked medium rare and it was amazing. I was way past full but couldn't resist at least finishing the tenderloin - it was seasoned perfectly and so tender. Included with my meal was a roll, nice size salad with hearty greens, a side of perfectly steamed vegetables and a potato of my choice along with the generous helping of tenderloin. I think we found our new favorite date spot. From what I can tell, it seems like they have lots of good happy hour type specials during the week including a wings night and half price drinks (forgot what days of the week those are). The ambiance was very pleasant and unique too. Well done Miner's Claim and thanks.

Fantastic hidden gem on the west slope. I have had several meals here and every time they exceed my expectations. Great value, high quality ingredients, excellent drinks and friendly staff! The new patio is fantastic! Community seating with a fire pit. Don't miss this one!

Glad we found this place two weeks ago when the I 70 was shut down for 5 hours. the Tuesday Martini specials were a great deal and the one I had was excellent. The dinner was also very good. I had the pork tenderloin and was very pleased with it.

Family of four from Missouri...we were looking for something we couldnt get back home. We were staying at the HI Express and didnt want to drive far. We did have about a 20 minute wait but after getting to the table we realized it was martini tuesday. So of course I had to order one and they were amazing!!!! The food was sooo good and the portions were very generous. For our family of 4 we spent about $100. And we will definitely be coming back our next time in Colorado

My colleague and I were starving coming home to Denver from Grand Junction and I "yelped" for a nearby restaurant on our way home. The reviews on Yelp for Miner's Claim were intriguing, yet we were hesitant to try a restaurant in a tiny town name Silt, but we gave it a go. Boy were we blown away!! The service was excellent, friendly and attentive! A wonderful varied menu. I ordered the crispy chicken salad, Jen ordered the Chicken Club with a side of Wisconsin Beer Cheese soup. All was absolutely delicious! The portions were generous, with colorful fresh ingredients - presentation was such that you could not wait to devour your meal. The atmosphere is warm and inviting like a community log cabin with an open pit fireplace and quaint views of Silt. The owner seated and chatted with us and we cannot believe we missed out on this place for 16 years! We will be coming back again and again!!

Great atmosphere, fun staff and good food! Hidden gem on the Western Slope! Martini's are delicious as well. Good idea to make a reservation. Ate here on a Tuesday night and there was a wait. The staff is very accommodating and the owner works behind the bar! A definite yes.

I have dined here for lunch and dinner MANY times. My husband and I wanted a good dinner and drove from Rifle knowing we would have a good experience. Sadly enough, they must have been having an off night. Our service was slooooow, the food was kind of warm (we both ordered $27 steaks) and from the time we finished dinner until we left it took them another hour to get us dessert and our check. My gigantic chocolate cake was dry. We don't have many options for a good steakhouse around here so we count on places like the Miner's Claim for a great experience everytime. Just didn't happen tonight. It will be awhile until I visit this place again.

We drove all the way to Silt to try Miner's Claim, but discovered that they do not open until 5PM. It being 4:30PM, we decided to take a tour around the amazing statutory town of Silt. At 4:35PM, after having appraised the entirety of the town, we stood around outside the restaurant. We could not help but notice *the smell*. Having a healthy instinct for self-preservation, we began further scrutinizing the establishment. Taking a gander around back and peering between the wood slats of a fence around the side quickly convinced us to eat BBQ elsewhere. Evidently, the Garfield County Health Department has a very laissez-faire attitude about enforcement. I'm not going to get into specific details, but look around for yourself before you eat here.

Great place to eat, very weird that there really isn't anything else worth going to out here except this place. The menu is fantastic and nothing you would expect in such a small town. The ribeye and escargot is amazing, along with the wine list. If you are driving down I70 this is well worth the stop!!!!

My mom and I had a really lovely dinner here on our way across the country. The place was cute (but not "cutesy") and the food was absolutely delicious and well prepared. I was surprised at the variety of fresh vegetables available, the vegetable Napoleon was outstanding. The outdoor area was really very pleasant, I wish we were staying longer so we could come back We also had great service, Lisa was fantastic. Thank you!
