The scratch-made fresh peach pie blew my mind. They claim to serve locally raised beef & bison. Does that mean without hormones, antibiotics & inhumane practices? Is anything safe to eat anymore? Well, the delicious buffalo burger I had took my mind off those problems for a while. Every time I see Lucy's as I drive past on I-76, I think mmm. The parking lot full of pickups says I'm not the only one.

Quaint and homey, Lucy's Place is a welcome sight to the road-addled brain seeking sustenance. The Bison Burger is delicious and locally sourced, with just the right amount of spice. It's not pretentious or high-falutin', but if you're looking for a quality meal on I76, it's going to be mighty hard to beat Lucy's. If nothing else, it is a slice of Americana that is worth the experience.

Breakfast stop on our way thru and so glad we did. We had breakfast at this old fashion country cafe with wonderful service and great food. Coffee was a little weak, but my omelette, my husbands biscuits and gravy and sons pancake were all really good. Get the sausage with breakfast, best sausage we've had in 1600 miles.

Expectations were set high from everyone's comments on the Buffalo Burger. It's a good burger. Shakes are amazing!

I stopped for lunch on the way from Iowa to Colorado, which turned out to be an excellent choice. had the bison burger & fries, finished with some apple pie a la mode. it was all delicious, service was friendly and fast, and my burger was cooked perfectly. Lucy's definitely has that local vibe, which almost always means the pie is great, which it was. I will be trying to make another stop here in the future, hopefully in time for breakfast, which occupies half the menu. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Fyi, follow the pin on the map and not the directions. as another reviewer pointed out, Lucy's is right next to I76 and not 3 miles to the south. just look for the red roof that reads CAFE and enjoy.

Interesting place. The one waitress was nice. Bison burgers seem to be their specialty and they've raised their own bison since like the 50s. I was disappointed that they were no longer serving breakfast foods at 11am. The restaurant is on the westward bound side of the highway.

Wow We had to stand in line but the wait was worth it. We sat at a community table which turns out was fun. I had pan fried chicken which was very good. I also had the salad bar that had the most amazing potato salad and deviled eggs. I commented at the table about how good it was and to my surprise the sweet lady who made both was sitting at our table. I enjoyed the meal and the company. Worth the stop. I paid for everyone meal at our table. Random act of kindness it goes a long ways.

Everything from the pancakes to chicken fried steak was amazing. We recommend the bacon...one of the best breakfast places we have ever been. So glad we went past Denny's and drove 40 more minutes to come here!

Me and my family were on the way to Nebraska from Denver and it was incredible. The food was good and the service was good also. My food came out within 5 minutes. I had the double cheeseburger and it was possibly the best double cheeseburger I've ever had. I highly recommend this place to whoever is in the area.

Bison burger was a bit over cooked for my taste but the French dip was awesome.

There are not many choices of places to eat in northeast Colorado, so when we were directed to Lucy's, we went. Friendly welcome, albeit curious about New faces. We had buffalo burgers, raised on the owner's ranch -- tasty but dry, served on a bland bun, with limp lettuce and tomato, and a side of fully processed French fried potatoes. Had Rocky Mountain Oysters which tasted like leather -- I guess you have to be there to get'em when they're fresh. Service was fast. The cherry pie for dessert got mixed reviews.

The folks at the Colorado Welcome Center recommended this place to us and we've stopped every time we've driven to Colorado since. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but there's some tasty homestyle Americana cooking waiting within. We are big fans of the bison burgers. The map is a bit messed up. It's literally right off the Sedgwick exit north of 76, not south.

I stopped here with my family on a thursday for lunch. I had the daily special of chicken fried steak and it was delicious. The waitress was friendly and quick even tho the diner was packed. I highly recommend stopping in if your in the area and looking for some good american comfort food.
