Parker has seen its share of pizza shops. They come and go. There is a reason Tonti's has lasted as long as they have. They are really good at what they do. Pizza is fresh, NY style. Thin crust with a bit of a chew to it. I recommend the white. They are the only place in the area that makes it like in NYC, dollops of ricotta. The portions are huge. Pizza box wouldn't shut on my drive home it was so big!

the pizza here falls way short. The pizza is way too greasy which I would be fine with, but when the grease mixes with the sauce it creates the worst tasting pizza I have had in a while. Up by the crust of the pizza it isn't as bad, but that the only part of the pizza that is edible. The garlic cheese bread is very bland and boring and ours was burned so that made it even worse. The restaurant itself is dirty and although the staff was nice, there is really no service so dining in wasn't a good option. And finally, the place is too expensive for a pizza place. In fairness, the sizes of everything are huge, but not worth the money.

I've only ordered once, but the wings and pizza were great. For anyone who said it's too greasy, don't forget, it is pizza. It's covered with cheese, which is greasy when melted. Plus,it really didn't even need blotting. I've had way greasier. Truly New York style, thin salty sauce, large slices that need to be folded to eat, and bubbles in the thin crust. I also ordered wings, well done/crispy and they actually were. I rarely get wings that are done like I ask. Can't wait for another order next week. Oh, plus super nice and courtesy driver.

Tontis is THE staple pizza place in Parker. It has outlived all competitors for good reason because they offer the best pie in town. I have been a steady customer for 20 years. It's the kind of place where they know your name and your order. I personally love their sausage pizza. It's home made sausage and its spectacular. Everything from the cheese and sauce is all premium quality. If you want cheap, cardboard pizza this is not your place. Tontis has hand tossed NY style pizza. Their cannolis are also top notch. They deliver ALL over parker, even to me in the Pinery. Support local business and ditch the chains. This is the real deal.

We got the Double Crust Italiano, and the Garlic Breadsticks. The breadsticks sucked and are not worth a second glance. The are dusted with Parmesan cheese from a can and have no flavor. The pizza on the other hand was pretty good. It was huge and greasy but tasty. The online price says $4.99 for breadsticks and $20.99 for the pizza. We got charged $25.99 for the pizza and $5.99 for breadsticks. It was a little steep for what we got, not sure if we will order from them again.

Very fresh pizza, wasn't really new York style but was a good thin crust with very tasty toppings and good service. Loved the frosted glasses for beverages, nice touch. The atmosphere was standard pizza dive, kinda like it, they spend money where it counts...the pizza!!!!! I would rather eat good food in this kind of place than poor food in a stylish pizza parlor.....

Excellent calzone. My family ordered multiple items on the menu and everything was fantastic. The noodles and the sauce have that authentic, homemade taste. My wife called the restaurant to express her satisfaction with the food. I would recommend Tonti's to anyone looking for some good Italian food. The food was very fresh. We will definitely be returning for more Italian cuisine. Just beware that this restaurant is a little bit challenging to find with all the construction around it.

Very nice pizza by the slice plus a great selection of tasty sides. Service was quick and friendly.

Tonti's New York Pizza is in a brand new location, the same shopping center. It is clean and fresh. It has the best pizza in town in my opinion. Try the Great White, which is my favorite, it has garlic butter, parmesan, mozzarella, provolone and ricotta cheeses, yum the best. I also love the Stromboli's. Every time I go there I also get a small Italian salad which has lots of Mozzarella cheese. If you have not been there in a while, give it another try, you will not be disappointed. The management is very friendly and the service is prompt. Thanks Tonti's!!

Unfortunately I never got to eat anything from here but we did try to. We called at 8:27 for delivery (they close at 9). The employee told us that their manager wouldn't let them deliver because they hadn't had any business since 6pm. I mean that really makes no sense since they would have gotten our service. Hopefully one day I will get to try it but that was a bad business decision by management.

I went here again today (using up a Groupon) for lunch with a friend. We had beers, slices, and the fried ravioli (jalapeno and cheddar) appetizer. The beer was nice and cold, served in an extremely well-frosted mug. The ravioli was piping hot and crispy and came with a nice marinara dipping sauce. The slices were a little slow to come out. That was because we ordered some with white sauce, and they did not have any white pizza up at that time. The white pizza with meatball and onion was pretty good. The pizza with chicken and green chili, and the Canadian Bacon and pineapple were both very tasty. So, overall it was a pretty good lunch. It was the little things that were lacking. The machine was out of ice for ice water. 1/3 of the tables had crumbs or dishes on them and needed to be bused and wiped down. The bathroom needed a new cleaning and could have really used new fixtures (other than the urinal that time forgot). The staff were friendly.

We visited for the first time a few months ago using an Amazon Local coupon. We were the only ones dining in on this cold snowy night. There were quite a few deliveries and Take Out orders. We ordered the 18" Spinach, Cheese, & Veggie pizza and a soda at the counter and then sat down. The toppings were generous and evenly spread out. The crust was a little soggy in the middle. We did not eat the bones. We will not be back. I'd rather order a Papa John's or Domino's.

This is my 2nd review, as I have started having the strombolis instead of the pizza. Best strombolis I've ever had. The staff and owner are friendly, and make sure that they are selling well-assembled dishes with quality ingredients. The calzones have much better ricotta cheese than other places. A lot of times you have to deal with mushy, watery, half-heated ricotta in your 'zone, but not here. You'll see them cooking with an old-fahioned 2-tier pizza oven, rather than the conveyor belt combination microwave/searing ovens you see at the "big box" pizza places. This lets the strombolis come out with the perfect amount of crisp on the outside, and the nice soft bread underneath. They don't skimp on the toppings either. I got as much mozarrella on my salad as you would get on a competitor's small pizza.

Why, oh why do I keep coming back? Groupon coupons is why. Pizza is pretty good, however... I placed an order tonight at 5:50. They said 40 minutes. I'm thinking, wow, that's a long time for pizza. Not to be disappointed, I waited 55 minutes before returning. WRONG!! It wasn't ready, I got to spend 5 more minutes in this cesspool of an excuse for a restaurant. It's filthy in here. Stains all over the floor, etc... If I didn't have another groupon I wild not come back.

I struggled with whether to leave a 2-star or 3-star review, but decided that they're not a bad place exactly, just not my thing. I don't personally care for their sauce, or the crust. My biggest gripe is that they're just way too expensive. And the customer service is lacking. I'm happy to take my business across the street to Coloradough Pizza.

For awhile I had thought Tontis was out of business. Turns out that with the construction of the New Super Kingsoopers store, Tontis relocated to a few doors down within the same strip mall. The new location is set up in the same way as the prior pizza restaurant. While they were setting up in new location my husband & I tried the pizza restaurant across the street next to Hansons Glass. We had paid the same price, yet the pizza was horrible. After Tontis reopened for business we went back to them and thoroughly enjoyed the pizza we had been longing for. Granted Tontis does not have bells & whistles, but nothing beats the dough that is hand made by the owners. Seems as if the son is now learning the trade. Father, son restaurant with much respect for each other. You don't see much of this going on in the world - I want to support them in anyway that I can.

You'll enjoy this place if you're stumbling out of the unnecessarily-hard-to-pronounce bar next door (Funugyz) or the lesser known irish pub across the street, and you're standards are 1) pizza and 2) now. If you're not inebriated, this place has little to offer. It's been dirty and unkept every time I've visited, and the staff seems to only be made up of unattentive teenage boys. A pro: Super cheap beer and it comes in pitchers. Great for post-softball gatherings as long as no one cares about speed of service, atmosphere or cleanliness. The pizza and calzones are pretty legit, which is probably the only thing keeping this place afloat. If you're looking for a family style place with good pizza try the Rock Fired pizza place just down the road on Cottonwood, next to the Red Robin.

5-STAR FOR SURE FOR SURE!!! Want a REALLY AMAZING bite into pizza? This is it! You will savor the flavor of this local cuisine located in downtown Parker, Colorado. Every single time I visit I am reminded of the many evenings the family would order to go and sit together to watch a movie. Owners are Customer Service Friendly too. It's a wonderful NON-BIG-BOX local company with outstanding seasonings and incredibly delicious mouth-watering delights. Enjoy!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

One of my best friends and I have been coming to this place since we were able to drive. Hands down, this place has the best pizza you'll have outside of New York. I'm from Queens, NYC and this is the only place in Colorado I'd go to eat a slice of some goodness. I was there today and I was served by Cody who paid great attention to our satisfaction of service. Try their cannoli, it is delicious. You can also grab slices if you choose to! I recommend it for anyone that likes a great slice of NY style pizza.

I wanted to give Tonti's another chance and bought a Home Run coupon. Their pizza always looks really good, but the flavor (for me) isn't good enough. I think that many people out here would be fine with their pie as I've had people tell me that they love places like Little Ricci's and Anthony's, both of which I think are pretty bad and would never go to again. My problem with Tonti's pizza is the sauce is way too sweet and the crust is too thick to bend in half properly. They do give a good amount of the toppings you order and toppings are very good.

On a snowy night, perfect for staying in and watching a movie (we watched "The Professional," by the way) I thought it would be perfect for ordering out for a massive carb intake, and Pizza was my number one choice. We had a coupon for tonti's and decided to try it. If we didn't have the coupon, we definitely wouldn't have gone there; the prices were pretty high. Overall, it was an OK pizza. The sauce was sweeter than what I'm used to having on pizzas. But they added a garlic butter sauce to the outer crust that was amazing. We also had some baked ravioli, surprisingly, this was my first time having that. They were good, nothing spectacular. Well, since I'm moving, I probably won't be back. However, If I stayed, I would go back, but with another coupon to cut into the price.

I swung by on an errand the other day for a quick slice. Ambiance is, shall we say, not their forte. The za was good - I particularly liked the crust, and two pieces with a drink was definitely a meal. It was a bit greasy, but after I drained off the top layer, decent stuff. Quick, fast, simple, greasy lunch? Sure, just not every day.

Tonti's was one of theworst experiences I have ever experienced in the restaurant industry. My friend and I were craving mozzarella sticks and decided to go into Tonti's to order some to go.It looked like all of the staff was drunk and we waited 30 mins for 2 orders of mozzarella sticks. when we opened to to go box, the mozzarella sticks were completely white! My 6 restaurant friends were so pissed off. I went back to Tonti's and requested my money back. I told the manager that this was rediculous and he said that he probably should of never gave them to me. Really! Terrible customer service, we will never go back.

This is a tough review for me. I've lived in Parker since 1998. When my son was born across the way at Parker Adventist, my wife ordered me to go get her a stromboli and I happily complied. Tonti's was not only king of Parker pizza, it was recognized by Westword as some of the best in Colorado. But that was back in 2001. When times got tough economically, King Soopers closed and the strip mall that includes Tonti's died. To their credit, they're still there, working hard to keep the place afloat. The stromboli is still just as good as ever though the place now shows its wear. The staff is friendly with a hearty greeting and conversation for the regulars, but it's hard to compete with so many more choices in town. On both price and atmosphere Tonti's is no longer competitive. How's the pizza? I have to say honestly that my favorite in town is now Parry's.

After reading reviews on multiple websites my boyfriend and I decided to try out Tonti Pizza. The guys behind the counter seemed to be nice. The inside of the restaurant is slightly dirty and dingy and needs to be updated. Please throw away those nasty chairs. We ordered a meatball pizza and wings. Our wings were microwaved and I'm pretty sure they were Tyson brand out of the bag. No thank you. How hard is it to deep fry or bake some wings and slosh them around in some Franks hot sauce. This really made me mad and is completely unacceptable. Next came the pizza....limp crust with flavorless toppings. We will never go back.

We live just a little too far away from them for delivery (1 freaking exit off of 470) so my wife will go in about once a month and have a pitcher of beer and a "mad, mad meats" pizza. It's thin crust style and is just loaded with toppings. We've been there enough that the Manager(?) - anyway, the guy who is always there making pizzas - recognizes us, which is kinda cool. The dine in area is so-so, but you can't expect much from a place that is mostly delivery.

    (5)
  • Nicci K.

Awful service. Longest wait time we've ever had for pizza EVER and that was with take out. Man very disappointed. Then after waiting politely in the place my husband start inquiring on what's going on and the guy behind the counter states you used a groupon which basically means we get shit service bc we didn't pay full price?? Wow we will NEVER be back to this DiRTY HOLE IN THE WALL ever again.

  • Jessica J.

My favorite thing at Tonti's is the Mad Mad Meat - sausage, pepperoni & meatballs. Big NY slices piled up with meat and on a yummy crust. I love the flavors, the thin crust and the variety of toppings. It is one of my faves! Nice place to have a pitcher too - bare bones/no frills, but all good!

We stopped by here on our way to a Super Bowl Party. It was nice to have a beer while the pizza was being prepared. They staff was friendly and the pizza was good. Not great, but good. If possible, I would have given this place 3 1/2 stars. Try the white pizza with meatballs...it worked.

    (3)
  • Sean T.

One of the best pizza by the slices you can get. the place is easy to get quick service, and they put garlic on the pizza!!! YEA love it... It is the real deal! Not a 'foo foo' place, but hey, I was going for good pizza, not atmosphere...

  • Parkergal G.

Pizza was good, but the zucchini appetizer was terribly freezer burnt. Should not have been sold.

  • Darrell M.

I was excited to see some vegetarian options, so I opted for the Eggplant Parmesan Sandwich. I thought the prices were a little high, but I thought I'd try it out. It sounded good. It was not good. Very bland. No flavor at all. I had a bite of my friend's veggie calzone, which was my other choice, and it wasn't very good either. So higher prices, bland food and the atmosphere was equally bland.

Our beloved Portofino in Parker was closed one Sunday and I hadn't planned dinner so I needed to rely on take-out. Sent my husband to pick up 2 pizzas from Tonti's. Pizza is so-so and overpriced for the quality.

  • Brandon W.

Hooray, another pizza joint in the area! While we are never wanting for pizza in the area, finding a really good pizza joint with consistency can sometimes be an issue. I'm happy to report that I found another good one. Through a work function, we ordered a plethora of delivered pies from Tonti's and, after sampling no less than four pieces (all in the name of Yelp research, of course), I'm happy to announce that they were all very good. The crust is soft and pliable, the toppings are certainly plentiful and the size of each slice is almost big enough to hide behind if the need arises. Great pizza with easy access to Parker Rd and E-470. Highly recommended if you like big pies, grease and lots of toppings.

  • Seth J.

Liked: The sauce is bright red. The crust is sooooo good. Not oily or greasy. Looks like it was cooked over a fire or something. Soft and crunchy and delicious. It's probably the best pizza we've had, but we also really like Pasquini's. Oh, and we can't forget Papa John's. (Just kidding.) Didn't Like: We have a bunch of coupons for free cheese pizza. They're delicious but there is something a little but funny tasting about it. I don't know what it is. Maybe it's just my uncultured mouth because Meg doesn't agree. Maybe it's just because I like a little meat on my pizza. At least some pepperoni or something.

  • Jason D.

Went here late one night near closing time. Pizza was 100% soggy and disgusting. The pizza tore in two when I try to pull it off the plate. I told the guy I don't want it. He took it as a personal insult I think. As mentioned in other reviews, the place is run down and disgusting. I will not be going back.

    (2)
  • Joe D.

There are days that I crave the delicious greasyness that is Tonti's pizza but there are also days that I don't want to have anything to do with it. The pizza is very unique so you have to be in the mood for Tonti's. I am not in love with Tonti's so I am only giving it 3-stars. I know there are people out there who could eat this pizza everyday but I can't. Give this place a shot, you might really like it.

Excellent Pizza by the slice or a whole pie. Try the "take and bake" they are also outstanding. Great place and excellent delivery service. Always hot upon arrival. My family and I have been ordering for years and have never been disappointed. They make their own dough which makes their pizza that much better.

  • Eric J.

Tonti's has been open for many years, but unfortunately the time has not been kind to the restaurant. The food is so-so, and quite greasy. The place has become run-down and dingy. My vote for good NY style pizza instead is Parry's, on Lincoln and Peoria.

i agree that you have to be in the mood for a massively filling pizza to truly enjoy tonti's. when you are in that mood, definitely go all out and order the double crust italiano. delicious! i was very impressed that my two year old could eat a whole slice.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
