What a great patio for a sunny afternoon. I had the pepperoni and Jalepeno pizza :) What a great combo with a couple cold beers. My date had a tasty meatball sandwich on a crusty chibata bread that was to die for. Great atmosphere outside. (why sit inside on a day like this?)

I'm giving this one star based on the food. I found it mediocre and overpriced. Our surly waitress seemed perturbed that we were there on a slow Sunday. I suppose it aspires to be an Italian restaurant and it is, in the American-suburban style (alfredo sauce anyone?). But even at that it was uninspired. We won't ever eat there again. However we might go back to have a drink. On a positive note: They have a nice outdoor patio and an upstairs patio in the back with a firepit (which some cretins throw cigarette butts in). The upstairs bar was cozy -- on Sundays during NFL season they have a taco bar for $2. The bartender was a nice guy. The tap beer selection upsairs blows: Fat Tire, some wheat beer (in December?!?), and the two taps of the typical Coorsweiser crap. However, for summertime I could make do with either of the first two. I'll swing in there for a drink in the spring and update this if need be.

Decent. This place has some good things going for them: the outside deck with a mighty tree twisting up through the middle. They're located in Morrison which is one of my most favorite towns in the US. I've been there three times and each entree has been good. I wouldn't necessarily rave about it and say it's the best italian food I've had, but it's good if you like eating in cool towns at restaurants that have trees growing in their decks.

I am so sad to give this place a bad review! Growing up in Morrison, we always enjoyed this restaurant. However, it has gone downhill and our last experience was so bad, from beginning to end, we will NEVER go again! First, the food was terrible. EVERY plate of pasta at our table had large clumps and my eggplant was completely burned. My husband had ordered pasta with garlic and olive oil -- pretty simple -- and he said it tasted reheated and burned at the same time and only ate a few bites. Next, the service was even WORSE -- it has always been slow, so that we expected, but the host seemed annoyed when we walked in and the waitresses were frantically running around. We sat at our table for over 10 minutes with stacks of dirty dishes before finally asking a waitress who was RUNNING by us, if she could take them away: without saying anything, she grabbed them and huffed away,,,,, Our waitress took our order but we never saw her again after that -- unless you count the half-second she walked by mid-meal, asked us how it was, and then walked away saying, "great" before we could say anything. Oh! I guess I did see her again, when I tracked her down myself and showed her my burned meal. She said,"Sorry it was disappointing," and took it off our order (which is the only reason I gave the place one star). Disappointing? I would say getting onions instead of garlic would be disappointing. The entire meal was completely UNACCEPTABLE - or should be! However, that was the last we saw her and we never had the chance to talk to her about the other bad meals. Of course, no one seemed to notice when we left. As I mentioned, it makes me sad to give this place a bad review, but we will NEVER go there again, and I would not recommend anyone else go there -- especially when there are other nice patios in Morrison and other places with edible food and a waitstaff that does their jobs.

Terrible food, inside/kitchen is filthy. The worst of it is that we got food poisoning. We'll never go there again.

We stopped to see Tony on an unseasonably warm spring night. We thought the food was good and the service reasonable. The salads were excellent. My partner's spaghetti and meatballs was tasty if not really special (the tomato sauce didn't seem homemade) and my calzone was just stuffed with good things although a little lean on the mozzarella. Sitting on the deck sipping a brewski and eating Italian food is just the way things oughta be.

The meatballs were good. That's it.

We went here with pretty low expectations after reading the reviews, but ended up being pleasantly surprised. The patio was nice and shady and the weather was perfect. We had the Ravioli Roberto and the Cheese Pie. The ravioli was stuffed with Italian sausage with a Gorgonzola sauce. It was really tasty with a bit of a kick from the sausage while the sauce was creamy. The pizza was great. Thin crispy crust with fresh mozzarella and basil. Overall, it was the best meal we ate in Morrison.

We just stopped here for a quick lunch. The food was not very good at all. The patio was great, beautiful and the service was friendly. However, the food was bland and the spaghetti was overlooked and flavorless. I tried to doctor it up with red pepper flakes, salt and parmesan. It got better but I don't think I will be back anytime soon.

Came here for lunch with a group after a hike at Mount Falcon. We asked to sit in the patio area, but since there were six of us, they asked that we wait in the bar area and grab a drink while they get our table ready. We waited a long while before we asked one of the servers if we could order some drinks at the bar tables we were sitting at. We put in our drink orders, and they were slow moving. I think the drinks came after we were seated in the patio area and after we'd put in our entree orders. Perhaps around when the salads came. Everything was SLOW moving around here, and the servers were pretty rude and unapologetic. You couldn't even get them to crack a smile really. If I had to rank this restaurant solely on the service, it would get a 1, but the food was pretty good, so I gave it a 3 instead. Maybe the dinner staff are more friendly and on top of things. But I wouldn't come back here for lunch. Unless I had a couple hours I needed to kill.

This place has always been a bit hit-or-miss, but the food is almost always excellent. Salad is fresh, pizza is tasty, and their pasta is pretty solid. Haven't been here in some time, as I am rarely in the area anymore.

Had a med pizza and a side salad. The pizza not half bad but got screwed on a few things and wasn't happy about it. First off the side salad was literally a pinch of lettuce, 1 cherry tomato, 2 paper thin slices of cucumber. I counted 4 bites of saad. Pathetic.. For $4!!!! And ranch dressing from a can/bottle. I coulda just took $4 and burned it for that. On to the pizza, it was decent, good crust/dough, most likely made in-house. I ordered it with pepperonis, garlic and jalapeños, all toppings $2 each. The jalapenos were pickled! Obviously from a big drum of them they got cheaply. The garlic was also minced from a jar? Idk. Pepperonis were thin and basic.... Just wasn't impressed by the toppings at $2 a piece. Really wish they would have used fresh ingredients and beefed up that week ass excuse for a salad. I don't appreciate being taken for a fool. Coulda gone to pizza hut for that crap. Three stars since the servers were genuine and sweet, and the back patio was really nice and had good live entertainment.

Pasta & sauce was bland, bread with dinner was boring, and the service was lacking. Has gone downhill since we first went to the Golden location (now closed) 9 years ago.

Worst service of my life. We had been waiting 20 minutes at the table with neither a waiter approaching us or even waters being served when we stopped a hostess to let her know we still hadn't been served. She said he'd be right over. We waited another ten minutes with zero attention and finally got up and left. It was unreal. The waiter looked at our table about 5 times and just never approached. No idea why they were so inefficient at serving customers.

If I was on death row and had to chose my last meal, it would be the chicken parm for this establishment. LOVE their marinara sauce and my wife frequently purchases it to go so we can cook with it at home. Ask for Mary if you go, she is great!!

We were in desperate need of sustenance. So really, it shouldn't have taken much to satisfy us. We decided we needed salad and pizza. That combination would provide us with some nutritious veggies that our bodies were trying to tell us they craved and the pizza would do the actual filling up. We walked in and were seated right away on the patio. The beautiful deck built around a huge tree made me feel right at home. The patio is their saving grace and the only reason for the third star to a two star experience. I couldn't resist a half order of the garlic cheese bread. My head was telling me this was way too much food, but I'm glad I listened to my stomach. At least we were able to eat something that was "pretty good". The chef's salad description: Greens, antipasto meats, mozzarella, and fresh vegetables. Based on the other descriptions we decided on the chef's salad. We figured, greens, some veggies, meat, and cheese...can't go wrong. I despise olives and my dining counterpart equally despises mushrooms. So if you're looking for a salad with hardly any salad, an assortment of unripe and mushy tomatoes, and more olives (not even the fancy ones) and mushrooms than anyone should ever have to endure, this is the salad for you. Pizza. We got a basic pie and added fresh basil (it's a shame they neglected to actually put basil on it) and italian sausage. To the Review Reader, the only take home message here is that their crust was good. Greedy as usual. We got a large pie. It was too much unexceptional food. We asked for a box for our pizza minus the 2 slices we were able to eat. So what do we get? Well obviously, one of those square styrofoam to-go boxes! Seriously. That's the silliest way to have a customer pack an almost untouched pizza. The leftovers were such a mess the next day, it ended up in the trash. Our server was not the friendliest or the most helpful. Now that I think about it, I understand his sour disposition. I'd probably be the same if I knew the food I was serving was mediocre at best. Tony Rigatoni, you should be ashamed!!

We don't make it down to Morrison much, and it's a great little, scenic town, but where the heck are you supposed to park? Anyway, it's been a while since our last visit, and there are some great places to eat, but we were craving Italian, and that rooftop deck looked really nice! We learned, as was stated by another reviewer, that there was a limited menu on the roof. Darn, but okay. We sat on the downstairs patio, and it was very nice! Our waitress was speedy and efficient. So far, so good -- great views and great service. We ordered the penne with meatballs and the chicken parm from the lunch menu. Each came with a house salad and garlic bread for around ten bucks. The salad was as unremarkable as I remember: iceberg lettuce, grated cheese, pepperoni (?) and a glob of dressing. Ick. The garlic bread was also in the take-it-or-leave-it category. And then there were the entrees. They were a tad lukewarm, but plentiful, and, oh, that marinara sauce! It is delicious! And the meatballs are among the best. Anywhere. The flavor of the food is a 4.5 to 5 star proposition, and that is why Tony Rigatoni's has been around for so many years. Unfortunately, the carpet, the bathrooms and the salad bowls have as well. I will be back regardless of the shortcomings, and if there were a location closer to home, I can guarantee I would order take-out regularly (getting around the old school feel of the dine in experience). I recommend the food! It's the real deal!

Worst service I've had in a long time! Waited 70min to get my lunch. From the waitresses demenor this seemed like it was just a couple min more than usual. Patio would have been nice if our conversation wasn't drowned out my loud motocycles passing by every minute. Food was average at best. Don't see any reason to go back especially given several better choices nearby.

Well now, here's the type of small and perhaps rather modest type of restaurant, that, being nestled away in a smaller building in the tiny mountain town of Morrison, is likely to be missed by many people. At least that's how it was for me. I'd visit Morrison often to see family, as I reside not far away anyway, but one day, my cousin invited me to lunch there, and soon enough, its food quickly secured a spot in the pantheon of my more highly-regarded Italian dining experiences in the Denver-Metro area. When you get inside, you'll notice that the place is almost like eating at a home, rather than a more modern-styled restaurant. The place is small, but in turn, feels very homely and has a type of perhaps cozy ambiance that may remind the casual diner of a peaceful meal infused with the appearance of simple Italian hospitality. The menu is reasonably well-sized, offering a slew of pasta, clazones, seafood, pizza, salad and sandwiches. To me, I think the menu's variety splendidly combines the flavors and traits of authentic Italian-styled dishes (the pasta, seafood and salads) with the more Americanized inclusions of pizza, calzones and such, in an easily-palpable and varied way. As with any Italian restaurant, it's all about the pasta for me, and the dishes therein that I have had all get ringing endorsement from me. My favorite must be the Penne Arianna; a rich alfredo-pesto sauce smothered atop a bed of penne pasta, garnished with sauteed mushrooms and sun-dried tomato flakes. Everything comes together splendidly here, as the sauce is a nice, mediumly-rich cream alfredo sauce, resuscitated with the fresh and mildly tangy pesto and made perfect with the robust mushrooms. In addition; the Penne Alla Vodka is a similar dish, both exciting and unique, with a tantalizing vodka cream sauce, as well as the peppers, onions and succulent prosciutto atop. As others have said, the spaghetti and meatballs (emphasis on the latter) are delighful, offering an interesting but simple and lively take on a familiar classic. The Salmon Milano is also a must-try, as well as the Frutti de Mare. I must spare my detailed appraisal of more of TR's dishes in the interest of not bloating this into a script, but I must say that the flavors and satisfying consistency within the simple variety in this homely Italian menu shouldn't leave too many people dissatisfied. And although my reviews focus foremostly on the food rather than the service/atmosphere, I suppose I'll mention that the staff were friendly, succinct, and overall helpful. I really don't pay much attention to how quick they are, but I don't ever remember thinking, "Get out here with my dish, already," so I suppose that's to the credit of the Rigatoni service. And to top it all off, I must confess that I really like the more homely nature of the restaurant. It, to me, gives off a friendly family-owned impression, which is something I appreciate and admire. I'm very enticed and appreciative of the humble nature of folks running their own restaurants; sharing their recipes, and overall love of food and cooking with their respective locale. It's in this vein that I'm reminded of my own philosophy towards cooking and eating: it's not simply about eating, but the experience and art that it can be.

Not good service, not good food. We ordered chips and guacamole with the salsas. The chips were so stale that it almost hurt to bite into them. The salsas came from a can, barely edible. But it was the service that killed the deal for us. The waitress was so obviously put out by us as she made no attempt to hide her eye rolls towards us. Had to ask numerous times for water, then she would come by with it she slam it down on the table and immediately walked away without asking if we needed anything else. Then the manager came by to ask how things were. We told him about the waitress and he said he would "fix" things. The waitress did attempted to be slightly more pleasant but we were almost done anyways. When we got the bill and nothing was comped (we spent close to $100) we decided that we would not be returning to this place. It was very obvious that customer service is not a high priority, nor the food.

My boyfriend and I stopped by this place because we were craving for Italian food as a late lunch/early dinner. The service isn't the worst but it can definitely be improved. We were offered to sit at the rooftop area only to realize that the rooftop only served appetizers/bar food so we had to be re-seated. The waitress who sat us up there kindly apologized and gave us a different seat indoors. (Just wished we had more of a priority to sit down since we were there first but we still had to wait for the newer customers to be seated first...) We were sat right behind the kitchen indoors instead which I didn't really mind despite the bit of noise that was understandable because of how beautifully decorated the indoors portion of the restaurant was. Overall, the service was really good. We were always checked upon and the bread and water kept coming and coming. We ordered the antipasto dish as an appetizer to share and the portion is ginormous! It actually filled me up so much to the point where I can barely touch my main dish which was the molti colori -- both were really delicious! Anyways the antipasto tasted extremely fresh so that dish is highly recommended! You can even eat that as a full meal but be warned that the contents will be gone within a blink of an eye! ;D As for the molti colori all three different pastas that were on one plate were all equally delightful to eat. They blend so well together too so even if the food touches (assuming you're not into that) they still taste really well together. Excellent meal. This place ought to receive more stars because it is truly an Italian delight! My only regret was not having enough room in my stomach for the desserts that seemed too good to share.

Good service. The entrees are really good and well served. Had the chicken parmigiana. The chicken was really tasty and the spaghetti was okay.

Horrible!! Ordered a salad and was told, no salad dressing on the side. So I said light dressing please and got no dressing. I then asked for some dressing and they brought me some. But also I was with my family and we would've liked to of had dessert but the option was even given to us. The waitress just handed us the bill... Just a poor experience!! Update. On the last hour (starting 20 min after dinner) I have had 3 bouts to the bathroom. Something was bad on my plate!!!

The Chicken Parm was good, not the best I have ever had, I would say it was average. The spaghetti was a little cold when it came out, but was also average. I would come back. The upper outside patio looks like a great place in Morrison.

Went here for lunch after a nice stroll through red rocks. One of the coziest, cutest Italian restaurants I've been to. Very charming with a lot of character. Outdoor seating is a huge plus. Our server Mary was very pleasant and friendly. I find it very charming they sell Christmas trees during the holiday season! The atmosphere and service was great. The menu could use some tweaks. Salad was good but a little too dressed up. Meals were definitely good potions (especially for lunch) but just lacked in flavor, a tad over priced. Shrimp scampi was very oily. Calzone was tasty.

I drive party buses so after dropping of my people at a show at Red Rocks I decided to venture into town for some tacos. I was immediately greeted by a very friendly and personable gentleman named Patrick who just recently moved to the area and is the weekend Bartender. I must say that it was quite refreshing to meet someone who actually enjoys their gig. I have lived in a few mountain towns here in Colorado and have also worked in the service industry in those towns and more times than not most of the people in these places shun the outsiders, especially the city folk not realizing that the sole reason they are able to live, play, and work in these towns is because of those outsiders and city folk. :) Patrick seemed to really appreciate and enjoy talking to his customers. That is the main reason i stayed downstairs to have some pasta vs going upstairs for some tacos. (same building, same owner, 2 restaurants) The atmosphere is great. I sat outside at the bar/patio area with a cut open window that overlooks the bar and a big screen tv. A great location if you are by yourself. I had the fettuccine alfredo with chicken and I really enjoyed it, I would have enjoyed it much better at the lunch price of 10 vs 17 but oh well. I guess I am too used to living on the cheap in Mexico to realize that that is a pretty decent price for dinner. The portion was huge and enough for two, the lunch portion is probably adjusted for that 10 dollar price. I will have to return and try some of the other delicious items I saw while I was there but first I must head upstairs and try some of the tacos. Thanks Patrick, enjoy your time here in Colorado. Head over the Idaho Springs for some first class rafting that should be raging in the next couple of weeks.

I cannot believe what a rut Toni Rigatoni's is in. I do not think they have changed their menu in 20 years! I liked the place 20 years ago, but it is tired and uninspired today. I ate there a few weeks ago and the food was very poor quality. The "homestyle" pasta was not very good, the red sauce was not very tasty, the meager salad was doused in dressing and the bread was cheap and hard. On top of that, the service was poor too. Never going back.

    (1)
  • Amanda H.

The food was absolutely wonderful. Portions are generous and you definitely have enough for left overs. The service however was not that impressive. Our table was very dirty and we had to ask for it to be cleaned. She sat our salads on the side while someone came to clean the table but didn't come back to give us the salads so we had to get them ourselves. We had to ask for drink refills as well.

Still like this restaurant but don't like that you can't get the same bee and wine choices upstairs as you do downstairs. Had to go downstairs to get a good wine and beer then take it back upstairs to sit on their deck

Living fairly close to Morrison, we sometimes get the idea to eat there just to get away and be in a pleasant environment. Sadly, every restaurant we've eaten at there has been terrible. Although the atmosphere and wait staff were pleasant, the food was simply awful. How many times in your life have you found pizza to be inedible? Tony Rigatoni's pizza was just that. We've made our own homemade pizza plenty of times at home, and even OUR pizza was 10 times better. The pizza had no flavor, had weird unidentifiable crunchy ingredients, the sausage was grainy and nasty, the cheese overly abundant and tasteless, and any hint of sauce was missing. We didn't even bother to box it up. The dinner salad is nothing more than iceberg lettuce, cheese, and croutons. There was not even a tomato to be found. If you're a tourist and stopping in Morrison, perhaps try Cafe Prague or Beso. Those are the only two restaurants in town that may be worth your while.

This place has a nice patio. We went on a weekday without a Red Rocks Concert and the patio was almost full at 8:00 PM. The service was a little slow and unattentive but friendly. The portions here are very big, I recommend always sharing. Tables that had not shared took food home. It feels more expensive than it should but with the portions being so large it makes up for it. I would not recommend the garlic bread. It doesn't taste like garlic bread, more like bread with seasoning and cheese on it. We had the a pasta dish with the volka marinara it was good but a little bland. I don't know if I would go back because there are more places to try in Morrison but it does look like they have good specialty drinks and the locals go here.

Service staff was super friendly! Even the ones that weren't waiting on us were very nice and helpful and came by to ask if we needed anything. Pretty boring food. I had the Della Casa and it wasn't vey good. My friend had the Cara Mia and that was pretty tasty. My garlic bread was cold, like it had been frozen and it hadn't heated up all the way. Salads were just ice burg lettuce with boring dressing choices, with pepperoni, cheese and croutons in the salad. Overall not impressed.

Stopped in by chance for lunch while driving through Morrison. Food was great! Garlic cheese bread with side of marinara was delicious. Tilapia Piccata was very good. Sausage and peppers was delicious also. Server was very friendly and attentive. Great family owned restaurant to visit if you're in the area.

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Came here while on my vacation. The atmosphere was great, but the salad was drowned in dressing, the spaghetti wasn't cooked, and the bread was as hard as a rock. I ended up getting food poisoning from the uncooked meatballs and my trip was pretty much ruined. Oh, and the service is nothing special. I am NEVER coming back

  • Joe M.

No fractions of stars? The first time was disappointment. The next three times ( GF's request cause it was in Morrison after hikes and the dog could sit outside the patio. So...today consisted of three terrible bloody Mary's( no spices but at least had a lemon slice and two olives) in watered down tomato juice. A small house salad and a 1/2 order of garlic bread cost me almost $40. But it's got a patio. Enter at your own risk. As a side note...every other time when I ask for a certain beer on their limited menu..."sorry, we're out of that". Two thumbs and two toes down.

Sorry, this place has totally gone down hill...used to go here a lot, haven't been in years...walked in, were told to pick a table & they'd get us menus...it smelled...and was dirty...we picked on of the only two tops the felt 'private,' only to have an old, dirty air conditioner blowing freezing cold air...

I went last night with a group of 9 for dinner. I currently have a bunch of dietary restrictions so I called ahead and talked to the manager. He was super nice and helpful, I checked in with the waitress when I got there and she again was very nice and accommodating, helping me come up with a salad with grilled chicken I could eat. All the food everyone else got looked and smelled amazing, I was really jealous of the penne with vodka sauce!! It was half price wine night too which always helps. Morrison is a cute little strip and this was a good find there. Thanks!

Service was pathetic. They need training. The waitress told me she didnt know if they could swap the white sauce w the marinera sauce that I wanted because the owner was here & they dont custom orders! WHAT!? is the marinera sauce out back? Then she came back & said the chef agreed to do it THIS time but they cant do it again...in case we come back. Ill make sure THAT doesnt happen. Wow.. sad sad. And dont call dried up French bagettes garlic toast when it doesnt have garlic and its not TOASTED.

Went there after a show at Red Rocks and sat on their beautiful rooftop patio. Unfortunately we got there after the kitchen closed. We asked if there was anything that they could rustle up, chips, salsa, whatever. Was politely told that they were sorry but it was too late because the kitchen staff had closed everything down. Bummer. However, 15 minutes later they delivered a large serving dish with the most delicious meatballs and sausage in a wonderful sauce along with some tasty garlic bread. The owner heard that we were hungry and just fixed something up for us. No charge. Wonderful service and wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommended!

We have eaten here over 10 times. I noticed it depends on what cook is working as to the quality of the food. Service is the same. Since they merged kitchens with the bar upstairs it has been awful. Lunch time Monday we got there at 12:15 only 5 tables with 2-4 people each. One waitress one cook but they were so busy helping the full bar patio upstairs that it took 10 minutes to get our ice tea, another 10 to come take our food order, 15 more to get the salad and after 40 minutes we asked for our entrees to be boxed up to go as we had an appt. It took ANOTHER 15 minutes to do that! Their apology? Taking the ice tea off the bill. Wow. We have decided to try other restaurants. This was a great place just a couple months ago and for whatever reason is going downhill fast. :-( The Chicken Cara Mia has never been bad though!

My fettuccine Alfredo was bland and soupy. My friend wouldn't even eat his lasagna and my other friend was throwing up a few short hours after eating their signature dish. On top of that, the owner castigated our waitress while standing a mere table away. It was very uncomfortable. I will never return.

The server was nice but they were ridiculously understaffed. We waited 50 minutes for food. Food was average and my shrimp scampi was horribly overlooked. Beautiful patio on which to dine though.

I came here with my family of four. We have two young children, and we all loved it. The outside patio has a great atmosphere. The service was excellent. I highly recommend it.

I went to this joint not to long ago, the second we walked in the first thing the waitress said to me was how much she liked my shirt, I have to say I was taken back. I instantly liked her. I have an extra is what I thought! Not only that, she could do no wrong. We were seated outside, it was a lovely night and we sat on the patio, it was beautiful. I ordered rigatoni with red cream sauce and salmon, tons of garlic too! It was a huge portion. It feed me for two days. The food was good, filling, and I had plenty to take with me and the staff is fantastic!! I say do it!

We celebrated a birthday here last night. The biggest drawback is that there is not a SINGLE gluten free item on the menu! Not one! Really , in 2015 has this restaurant not heard yet that there are a lot of folks who get very ill from gluten? In fact the waiter even said if you are truly gluten free 110% that he didn't recommend eating there, but for someone who just needs to avoid it due to a sensitivity, they have zero options. This person finally settled on a salad with salmon on it, and after this gluten discussion with the waiter, it still came with four pieces of regular b read under the lettuce! Duh! Our service was decent, except for the fact that this salad was not ready with the rest of the meals and arrived a good 10 minutes late. Hey Tony's: a guest who already has to eat differently than everyone else really doesn't want to be further singled out and sit with no meal for 10-15 minutes! The rest of us had very decent food. Servings are generous. I had a pasta trio that was pretty good, I didn't love the sauce on the spaghetti . The Arrabiata sauce one of us had was super hot. The salads that came with the dinners had nothing on them but croutons and dressing, not a single cherry tomator or cucumber or anything. Our birthday guest did get a nice slice of lemon torte at the end. We had a nice. Time and might return, but Tonys could find some gluten free options like most restaurants offer these days, and do better with the side salads.

The food was nothing special. The so called "garlic bread" had no garlic. It should of been called cheesy bread like the kind ya get at papa Murphy's & 1/3 the cost. I ordered the pasta & meatballs, only got the pasta dish. Ok, maybe there was miscommunication, I'll accept that, but once the food was brought to our table, waitress was gone & never came back until I flagged her down for the check. Basically, a waste of time, money, and effort.

I went here while I was in town visiting family. While there the first time last year, the service was pretty decent, and pretty good pizza (maybe I got lucky). While on this last visit, the place was pretty dead. About 10ish tables and 3+ waitresses. The service was super poor. They about argued with who had what tables. The waitress even complained about a guy coming in 40 minutes before they closed! It took forever to get drinks, let alone another (yes I want to pay for another drink). The drinks were not even made properly. Oh and my girlfriend and I received 3(!) pieces of bread. Not 2 or 4, but 3, small pieces of bread with non-spreadable butter. The only reason this got a second star is for the awesome italian sausage cacciatore I had. tasty and just enough spice.

The patio ambiance was nice, but that was all that I can say that is positive.... The pizza was floppy and soggy :( and they messed up my husband's order. Slow service. Will not return

Very nice staff and outstanding food. I had a seafood pasta dish with clams, mussels and shrimp. It was mildly spicy and very delicious. The only downside was the decor. It could use some updating and the upstairs could be used more for dining and less for a beer garden type atmosphere. I would come back in a heart beat for the food and service.

I went here on a recommendation before checking Yelp, and I am glad I did. The bartender was energetic, and attentive the entire night. We went with the mussels, the pesto chicken salad, and topped it off with a pizza. The mussels were surprisingly awesome, as I lapped up the broth with bread served with my salad. The chicken pesto salad was larger than I expected and was full of fresh veggies. Our pizza was crisp, made fresh, and exceeded our expectations. When we came here, we were looking for a snack and a beer but ended up staying for a full dinner. This place was definitely worth the trip.

We were told this place was a pretty nice Italian Restaurant. What a disappointment. I knew we were in trouble when we were seated next to a table where the waitresses were LOUDLY visiting with an off duty waitress having dinner with friends. While the patio was crowded and had a nice atmosphere the inside felt dirty....maybe the bug running across the table added that impression. Found the menu somewhat lacking, unimaginative and expensive. The salad and the pasta was just YUCK! The best we had was the stuffed mushrooms appetizer. The drinks seemed overpriced. The waitresses were inattentive and in bad need of training. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Service was awful, Becky was an awful server with a terrible attitude. Food was good but you can't overlook the bad service and enjoy it. Extremely unfriendly. Dumb to only offer happy hour in the upstairs bar not in the restaurant. Won't be back after a terrible experience like this. Plus after this bad service she had the nerve to add a 25% gratuity to our bill. We eat out a lot and have never had this happen.

Can you have zero stars? Like other recent reviews (note to self: read Yelp before going to old reliables that you haven't been to in a while), this was a totally disappointing visit. As long time Morrison area residents we used to enjoy a pizza, meatballs, pasta at Tony's. Hadn't been in years. Yeesh. Service was slow and inattentive (some bread please? Maybe a plate? The second basket of uninteresting bread, which we needed as we went into our 45th minute of waiting for 2 kids pizzas and an eggplant Parm, came with 2 pieces..... Seriously.) Like another review in here, the eggplant was horrendous. Burnt, dry, blech. Sauce was bland. Meatballs came out cold. Kids pizzas looked like something out of a DIA bin under a heat lamp. The atmosphere was dead....except for in the kitchen, where apparently something was continuously funny as the cooks spoke Spanish loudly and laughed while we waited for our ultimately terrible food....and waited....and waited. Just didn't seem very "Italian". You can see the other reviews.... People don't spend this much time writing such bad stuff about a place that used to be fun and decent unless it really sucks. Which it now does. The management of this restaurant ought to be ashamed. And out of business.

Exactly like the two stars note, Meh. I'll start with the positives. You have the opportunity to sit outside, which was quite nice as the weather cools. They have a rather spacious patio with many trees and it provides a nice laid-back atmosphere. Also, the handmade spaghetti caught my eye, so I tried it. Supposedly, it's made there. It's slightly thicker than most spaghetti noodles and had a better taste to it. Unfortunately the sauce was very bland and tasted like it was from a can. The place looks questionable in terms of their dedication to cleanliness. The decor has not been updated since the 70's, the menus are dirty, mangled, and plastic, and the service is inattentive. Also, they were playing Tejano music over the speakers. We weren't sure if they knew it was not Italian music. No one at our table tried the pizza, but one tried the calzone and said it lacked flavor. If you're looking to sit outside but aren't concerned about great Italian food, this is the place for you.

We love Tony's!! We are locals, and have not only visited this place, but taken out-of-town visitors, as well. The service has always been nothing less than attentive, with recommendations given per our request. They DO pay attention to detail--from recommending the proper wine, to remembering that I LOVE the sun-dried tomato dressing on the salad--and providing a bit extra! We have ordered their pizza for take-out and have not been disappointed. The ambiance, either inside or out, lends itself to a relaxing afternoon or evening out. We highly recommend this local landmark.

Tony is dead! I had, yes that's past tense, being going to Tony's for years. First in Morrison and then in Golden. Usually good service and great food. Tony's closed in Golden. So, we decided to revisit the Morrison location. BIG MISTAKE! Lousy food, expensive food (come on it's pasta with tomatoe sauce) and slow service. Bye, bye Tony! It was nice to have known you in your prime.

Decided to eat here on a whim before concert at Red Rocks. Waitress was friendly and helpful recommending dishes that wouldn't make us late. True to her word, entrees arrived just as we were finishing the salads. Pasta was firm, Bolognese sauce is thick and tastes ok. I was most impressed with the tasty meatballs and instantly wished I had ordered some for myself. Also had a side of garlic bread. Was cheesy, but otherwise ordinary. Helping us get to the concert with time to spare was much appreciated!

The food here actually wasn't that bad - ordered their Greek salad and the Garlic Chicken pizza. The salad was nice, full of feta, baby spinach and nice flat bread. The pizza was tasty but rather small (their medium is about 10" and $17) and was super greasy - looked like they had dunked the thing in a bucket of olive oil over it after it came out of the oven. The real problem with this place is the service. Pretty much doesn't exist and you have to track your waiter down any time you need anything (water refill, more napkins, to order your meal, another drink, etc...). What wasn't right was we ordered a club soda and when the check came we noticed a $2.50 charge for it on the bill. This wasn't bottled sparkling water, it was club soda out of a soda dispenser. When we brought this charge up to our waiter he said it's restaurant policy and he wouldn't do anything about it. Needless to say, we won't be going back there again anytime soon.

Need a big lunch, cheap, maybe after a hike in the area? Head here for $8. You can choose from several pasta dished with a salad and garlic toast. They have a patio too which is nice.

Thanks!

Stopped in yesterday for dinner around 2:15, service was very slow with only a few customers there. I had stuffed mushrooms, they were overcooked and a chicken with pasta dish that was tasteless and bland. I would not recommend this restaurant, it is a waste of time. Mark X

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
