I don't understand the amazing reviews. This place is the McDonald's of sushi and Japanese food. I can't even bring myself to eat here, anymore. Everything is just...bland. I absolutely -love- sushi, and will eat it any chance I get, but the sushi here, while not offensive, is just so boring and blah. I've had the soups a few times, and every time I get them, they're different. Nothing is consistent. The prices aren't great enough to come here and not just go to a good sushi joint. It's like picking McDonald's over Ted's Montana Grill for a burger, if the burgers were about the same price. Bad choice.

Amazing food at a great cost. Our family has made this an every week stop. Staff is great and food is ready faster then anywhere around. Really enjoy the sushi also! My 5 year old calls it the best food in the world. I suggest you try this place if you want a good healthy meal.

I've been in Colorado a few years and Tokyo joes has become a favorite of mine. Good prices and great food. And compared to what I usually eat it is pretty healthy too. One thing I like about the company is that they hire tattooed people and don't make them hide their ink. I think that is great!

I love TJ's, it's my go to fast food, chain when I need something to eat while I'm out but can't make myself even look at Ronald. All the food is delish, although my favorites are the Spicy Tuna and Yo rolls. The Spring Rolls make a perfect lunch on a hot summer's day. TJ's can also make most all of their menu items GF for all those Gluten Intolerant souls. If you need your food even faster, you can download their app and have you food waiting for you when you walk through the door.

I adore this place. Most of the restaurants in the chain are pretty good, but this is the one I visit most often. The staff are always friendly and get to know the regulars quickly. For some reason, the employees at this location usually have bright green hair or exotic piercings or neck tattoos (or all three), but for me that just helps set the "everything's cool, we don't care if you're wearing track pants, you just be you" vibe, and they always appreciate my geeky T-shirts. As far as I can tell, they are treated pretty well and enjoy working there; I've never seen that glazed "I truly wish I were dead" look so common to McDonald's employees on a Tokyo Joe's worker. If you have celiac disease and love Asian food, you need to know about this place. Yes, it's a chain, but chains are often better about gluten-free stuff than independent restaurants (especially if there's a language barrier; I bring my own GF soy sauce whenever I go to a "real" sushi place). The gluten-free items on the menu are clearly labeled, and there are plenty of choices. I'm a big fan of the Yo Roll (tuna, salmon, mango and avocado), and you don't have to bring your own GF soy sauce because they carry it! The build-your-own bowls are a better option if you're really hungry. The only thing that could make this place better is sake. They serve beer but not sake. Hint, hint!

The experience was okay. I'm just not a big fan of teriyaki. They said their original is sweet and it isn't. Their comes were hard. My boyfriend likes it but we don't make it a place to visit often.

This is pretty good food and healthier than most fast food joints . I got steak and chicken with white rice .I usually ate at samurai Sam's but Tokyo Joe's is a little more upscale but similar .

Nice place to have lunch with friends or family. The sushi was not my favorite but the teriyaki bowl was pretty good.

Good, consistent food. I wish it was free standing and not attached to a bad mall, but at least it has it's own entrance. I recommend the Boulder Veggie Bowl, and if you are not a tofu fan they will replace it with chicken. Fast food sushi is fast food sushi, so don't come here expecting a large fancy menu - just love it for what it is.

Tokyo Joe's is a decent restaurant and this one has also been decent in past visits, but my last two visits have sent me elsewhere. I did enjoy it as a quick stop for a noodle bowl or rice bowl. The staff is on the whole friendly, but recently I've had my orders take a VERY LONG time. It took enough time that I saw the girl go ask about my food, and watched the quick search that made it obvious my order had been lost. Unfortunately, I had also ordered sushi, so by the time I got my order both my noodles and my sushi were warm. This happened not just once but twice, so I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

The first time I went I was really disappointed with my order here. I'm a vegetarian and felt like getting a bowl of rice with plain tofu, and a smattering of vegetables was a real rip-off. The curry sauce was good and spicy, which I liked. But unless I just wanted to fill up on steamed rice (and pay for that), I wouldn't come here again. The second time I ordered Mahi Mahi and veggies (no rice) and enjoyed it much more. I like the sauces and appreciate the gluten-free options, so I can come here with my mom.

I like Tokyo Joe's in general, but this location is the best. The food is delicious, the service personal kind and accommodating, and the atmosphere peaceful amidst the hubbub of a mall. The service personnel treat everyone nicely, realizing it may be the first time someone has been in the restaurant. They take the time to explain the dish when needed. I also find the more often the personnel see a customer, the better they take care of the customer. That's nice. It doesn't happen everyplace, and it's a great way to build brand and location loyalty. I've had almost every bowl they make, along with some of the sushi. (Not a fan of sushi in general). It's all cooked well, though portion control is a bit spotty. That's okay, though. Not a big deal. But when I'm paying a buck extra for veggies, I should get a consistent serving size. If not for this, my rating would be five stars. Located at the southeast entrance of Southwest Plaza, across from Panera.
