Really good food, one of the nicest waiters you'll ever meet, GREAT value for kids. The calzones are awesome, meatball hero is good, pizzas aren't amazing and are better than you'd get at a standard pizza place. Kids love it here. They get a great meal with a drink and fresh baked cookie and ice cream for a great price. Fun local shop.

I was born and raised in the Chicago area and with that being said, 90% of the time I crave pizza, I want a nice thin crispy pizza. I tend to notice that even in the Denver area "thin crust" is still thicker than what I would like. Lil Ricci's on Ken Caryl is the best thin crust pizza I have yet to find in the Denver area. The pizza flavor itself is nothing special, however to me, the consistency of the thin crust for a change totally makes up for it. I've been looking for a local good casual hangout spot with decent food. The interior is very sports bar-ish with almost a late 90's flair to it. Much like an upscale dive bar. I dig it. Looks like it has outdoor seating for when the weather is nice. Lil Ricci's sits right at the base of the Ken Caryl mountain area, so it's a nice view too. Easy access right off 470 so this would be a GREAT place to grab a bite and a brew after a day of skiing or shredding. Highlights: Pizza by the slice $3 - It's a giant slice of pizza, plus only .40 cents per topping if you choose to spruce it up. 7 days a week happy hour - 3pm - 7pm. They also looked like they had some pretty good deals during Bronco's games. Bottom line: The garlic knots are great, the pizza is good, the beer is cheap, and the price is right. I'm not a fortune teller, but I can totally see myself in the future at Lil Ricci's chowin' down on some pizza and knots with a cold beer after a good day of skiing.

We are new to the area and we were looking for an easy, reasonably priced, delicious, family meal. This place was perfect, offering a good Monday-Thursday family meal deal. The food was awesome, the service was amazing, and the price was very reasonable. We were extremely impressed!

It's not the best pizza on the planet, but it's pretty good and a lot better than Anthony's. I recommend if you want NY pizza in the Ken Caryl area.

How terribly disappointing. Ordered pizza, 2 dinner salads, and kids ravioli. People who came in 5 min after us sitting near us received their pizza and salads before us. The single man who sat behind us received his pizza 10 minutes later. Another 20 minutes out comes our pizza, but its wrong. Not a complicated pizza, artichoke hearts, mushrooms, onions, garlic, and on half tomatoes and pepperonci. No tomatoes, no pepperonci, but sausage on the whole thing. Don't get me wrong, sausage is a good thing, but not what I wanted tonight. Flag the waitress down. She put in a new order and took the wrong pizza back. Then she decided we could keep the wrong pizza while waiting. Probably should have eaten that one. 30 minutes later out comes the pizza. Hubby kept his tongue in check, but we'd had enough. Asked them to box it up to go. Waitress said she'd give us a discount, but never saw it. $36 for waiting 90+ minutes for pizza 3 sodas and a kids meal. If there was a discount it must have been 1%. There wasn't even a sincere apology. The taste was okay, but next time it's pizza nite it'll be the local competitor or the chain. Flavors just as good, but service and price are better. Good luck with your orders.

Decided to give this place a shot and I picked up a pizza in the way home from work. I thought it was good! Of course it pales in comparison to the east coast but its relatively tasty regardless. Took a little bit to wait and pick up but otherwise easy. We'll order from them again but try a different topping combo.

This is my second review. Still just average pizza. The breadsticks tasted like dish soap. Just had the chicken parm entree. Ugh... Chopped up chicken with barely any breading and not fried. They hide their horrible job of an entree by loading it with cheese. I don't know what is up this place, but they need to figure out a somewhat decent recipe for their food selections. Damn... Maybe we've been too spoiled with living back East, Arizona, Boulder, Denver. I miss Cosmos, Fatty Js, Abos, Mama's pizza, Marco's. I regret not going to Anthony's, like we usually do. Just gave away all of coupons the kid from Boulder sold to us raise money for whatever he was raising money for this past summer. Still like the bartenders and the beer. Can't screw those two things up.

Went there last night for dinner. Except for the kid who filled up the drinks and cleared the plates, customer service was nonexistent. The waitress did absolutely nothing. It took close to ann hour to get our pizza. It says it is a New York style pizza. Being from the East coast it fell short. We also ordered a salad with blue cheese dressing and stuffed jalapenos. The blue cheese dressing was sour cream with a couple of pieces of flavorless blue cheese, and the Jalapenos were precooked and heated up before served. They were pretty much mush. We sent $50 for a below average meal. Save your money people. Avoid this place at all costs. You can get the same pizze from the freezer section of your grocery store for $45 dollars less

Normally we enjoy picking up a pizza from Lil' Ricci's but we decided to go there and order take out from the bar area. We got a table and became INVISIBLE! Our intent was to have drinks while we waited for our take out. Could not get waited on. After 10 minutes we had to stop a waitress and ask if we could order. Shouldn't it be the other way around?? Both the waitresses and the bartender must have thought we were just taking up space in there establishment! We finally got our drinks and then we were told it would be 5 minutes and then our food would be out. After 20 minutes, we had to ask for our food. Really how long does it take to slop some spaghetti in a take out dish? That is an item that is already prepared. Also we asked for spaghetti with meatballs when we got home there was 2 meatballs! We paid extra for 2 meatballs! Not impressed.

Lil' Ricci's is a "diamond in the rough" in the land of Subway/Chipotle/etc. The wait staff is always very friendly and the pizza is excellent. It is also very family friendly and our daughter loves it as well. Beer selection could be a bit better.

It's in a hard to reach strip mall. Was not impressed with the garlic knots. They tasted undercooked and were too doughy. Almost raw in the middle. Pizza is good, but not great. It didn't knock my socks off. But, the place isn't too expensive & their slices are larger than average. The service is slow, and the wait staff always seems to be loitering at the front of the entry way with the hostess. The bar section is cool. Decent selection of beer & the bar staff here is much faster, friendly, & seems to be much more professional.

Pizza was decent, but the terrible dining experience will prevent me from returning. The (owner or manager) was doing shots with her employee, and had her kids there. She was extremely short, and had a rude attitude. No hand soap in the men's restroom left me wondering how the MALE cook was washing his hands after using the restroom. I'm not surprised by any of this since the boss was drunk, I give this place another year TOPS before the doors close. I DO NOT complain about much, so you REALLY have to be horrible for me to go out of my way to write a negative review.

Keep in mind this is by Denver standards. In Chicago or Dallas or even KC, I'd rate them a 3-3.5. In Denver, I say a solid 4. We just tried the salad and a red-sauce spicy pizza with pineapple and ham and banana peppers. The sauce was a great tangy sauce- good by ANY standard and the best I have had here (Beau Jeau pizza sucks). Anthony's is nice but I liked this sauce better. The cheese was good (I'd say put less next time) and the crust could have been crispier BUT the taste of the crust was excellent. The sauce was really good. Next time I will try the white pizza. Service was casual and very friendly. I was impressed because Denver folks tend to be a bit curt and standoffish sometimes. Genuinely friendly server (maybe the owner?) and we will be back often.

Great pizza, efficient and friendly bartender, and nice friendly vibe. Having just flown in on business on a Sunday night, having decided to stay on the outskirts of Denver off the beaten trail, with a hankering for a good pizza to take back to the room, I wandered into Lil' Ricci's hoping for something delicious. Sat down at the bar, and the young lady behind immediately came over and I ordered a draught beer (Octoberfest = fresh and cold) for the wait along with a sausage/mushroom medium thin with a side Caesar to go. The locals were there and knew each other and the bartender, and were very friendly to me as well. A nice way to start a week away from home. The side salad was the usual romaine with croutons and some parmesean sprinkled over with dressing on the side. A solid, typical Caesar with no spoiled lettuce. Just what I was wanting. The pizza was great. Nice thin crust, perfectly baked, with thin pieces of mushroom and thin, round slices of sausage both spread out in pleasing quantities across the pie. The sauce had a darker, richer flavor, leaning away from the sweeter side.

We love this place!!! The pizza is good, especially their white pizza! And the staff is great!!! They are always welcoming. We like to go in during the week for their Family Special... It can't be beat! Salad, sticks and stones, large pizza, drinks, and ice cream with a cookie for dessert. (For 4 people its a great deal)

Went in for lunch. Got 2 slices and a half order of garlic knots. The garlic knots are not good, the pizza is average, the waitstaff is nice. Not a bad place to eat if you're out that way.

I've dinned here at least a half dozen times, and probably twice that as "carry out". The food is always good, I'll give them that. However, the service and atmosphere has always been terrible. Every time. The dinning room is cold and uninviting, crammed with too many tables, and much too loud due to the close quarters and a chaotic corner reserved for video games, pinball, and candy machines. More like eating at Chucky Cheese than a neighborhood restaurant. The most unrelaxing and frustrating dinning experience ever. If you don't mind sitting shoulder to shoulder, and have to shout over the table next to you to carry on a conversation then this place is for you, the food isn't bad.

I absolutely love Lil Ricci's! The pizza is so cheesy, doughy, & delicious. They cook it to warm, hot, tasty perfection. If they change a single ingredient I'll go bananas on them immediately. I just love their pizza so much! You have got to go & try it.

Barely one star. This place is located near the Edge Hockey rink in Littleton. During a tournament for our child, the team had a break and chose this place for lunch. I've never gone to a place and had the workers act offended that we wanted to eat there. We filled the entire patio with our party. The waitress came out and said she would only accept pizza orders with a party our size (this is what we came for, but she was very defensive). We all ordered all you can eat pizza. The team coaches served drinks and pizza to our party. The waitress wouldn't allow us to pay ahead of time and complained when we wanted to use debit cards. The waitress, who really didn't serve us at all made very loud comments about not receiving a tip as we eventually talked her into allowing us to pay separately. That's the "service". Sometimes, service can be overlooked if the food outshines it. Not the case here. The pizza was greasy and toppings all slipped off as the pieces were pulled from the pie.

The pizza here was delicious. I cannot count the many times I have stopped in for lunch here to indulge in there New York style slices. If you are in the area, it's a must have! If you are looking for a place to treat your family, this is the place. great cozy atmosphere as well where you feel like a true New Yorker. I advise you order more then one slice, you won't regret it.

Service is terrible. Food is mediocre at best. This place needs to call the "restaurant impossible" show for help on running a business effectively! I will NOT be giving this place my business ever again!

This pizza joint is as good as it gets! It's the best sit-down pizza place in my 'hood. The food is consistently excellent, they have good beer, a decent margarita and the service is always terrific. They use good quality ingredients and know that the heart of a great pizza is the dough and sauce. It's a family-friendly place and worth a brief wait (they tend to be quite busy on weekends). The Ken Caryl location has a warm, sports bar atmosphere and I prefer it to the Highland's Ranch location.

A pizza place with a sports bar décor. They pull it off ok. The Calzone is handmade fresh and the prices are fair.

This place has an awesome calzone! It is baked to perfection with generous amounts of cheese. I order the Ricci's combo calzone and substitute onions for jalapenos...mmmmm hmmmm. The staff is always super attentive and they seem to always have a great price on tap beer.

This is your spot for a small Football viewing pizza and cheap beer place in the area. A nice refugee from the large BW3 like places.

If you want awesome calzones, eat here. I'm not much of a calzone guy either, but this was amazing. The service was great and the owner is a nice guy. I should eat here more often now that I think about it. I mean seriously, I live like 2 min away.

I am so very grateful for having found this restaurant. I am from back east, so I am always craving GOOD Italian food, and there is a noticeable lack of GOOD Italian food in Colorado. This place really hit the spot. I felt like I was back home. :)

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
