I love a good donut to start the weekend and so I end up taking my kids here about once a month on Saturday mornings. They have a great variety of donuts and I love their cake donuts. They are pricier than the grocery store or other donut shops but I think they make up for it in quality of the donut. I agree with other reviewers that the service can be sub-par but I have never had a remarkably bad experience here. The specialty donuts are a must-try.

I can't really recommend this place sadly. The donuts are pretty good, but at the same price as Voodoo donuts, I'd rather just go there. Also, if your digital sign on the highway is going to advertise something, you should probably have that available to customers who arrive. And don't let customers that show up for these products that they are seasonal. Sure, it makes sense that a pumpkin spice latte is only available in the fall, but if your sign advertises it then I'd expect it to be available to purchase.

We were feeling donuts this Saturday morning and, being new to the area, checked out some local options. GrubHub had LaMar's on it - delivery donuts?! Despite the somewhat high delivery fee, we placed an order. The donuts were huge! I was very impressed. They were delicious, too. My only complaints with them were probably based on the GrubHub ordering system - my Maple LaMar Bar didn't have any filling, for example, but I think it's because the form was a bit confusing. The cherry-filled Bismarck was SO large. I also had one of the cinnamon raised donuts and it was very good. The one thing I did not like and wouldn't order again was the chai tea latte. There was very little "chai" about it - it actually tasted a lot like warm milk. Overall, we'd definitely order again (or more likely, stop by!)

Personally, I think Lamar's is pretty expensive for donuts. When my husband buys two dozen assorted for the office, he spends nearly $40! That said, the donuts are indeed delicious. I've never had a "bad" donut here. I can't speak much to the staff at this location; but the last couple of times I was in, they were less than friendly. If you visit in the afternoon, they just act like you're a nuisance because they'd rather finish their cleaning and close up on time. We miss the "donut happy-hour" that they used to have, where they slashed the prices in the afternoon to unload the remaining inventory from the morning. Now we pretty much don't come here since they stopped doing that. So... Good donuts if you're willing to spend the money on them, but don't expect the people to be cheery.

To get a good range of donuts to choose from you have to be there very early in the day, Donuts are very good & staff is very friendly, would highly recommend.

I really like LaMar's donuts. My mom recommended Krispy Kreme donuts to me and I tried them last week. Not impressed. LaMar's donuts are fluffy and delicious. Had a chocolate raised doughnut with chocolate icing for breakfast this morning. Nice! I love their LaMar's bars too. Nice shop, nice lady behind the counter.

I have been here half a dozen times, and it is definately better than the grocery store, but at least double the price. Cake donuts are great, old fashioned donuts are some of the best, and the cinnamon rolls and fritters are enormous. The raised varieties mediocre. Service is ok..pretty non- chalant. I Wouldn't say it is rude, but I have only made one afternoon visit. The prices are boderline criminal, as many resort towns I have been to charge the same prices or less. They must throw away a lot, because the case was half full 30 minutes before closing, and no discounts

They were fully stocked and staffed on National Donut Day and even passed out free warm donuts to customers waiting in the long, but brisk line. Thoughtful marketing, planning, and fresh product will win over new customers every time.

I'm a little surprised that Lamar's doesn't have a better rating. Their donuts are light and delicious. Their staff is friendly and helpful. The store is clean! Their red velvet donut was AMAZING! We will definitely be back!

A very good donut here. The different flavors and awesome selection help ease the price of the donuts here. But I will agree with other posters here that the service is pretty awful. They get inpatient when you do not order right away and even worse in the afternoon. I give it four stars because taste in a donut shop is a must. Service being bad is ok because most of the time you buy donuts and leave right away.

Won't go here again. Arrived with my dad on Father's Day morning all of 5 minutes before they opened. The staff inside refused to open the door to let us in until AFTER the posted opening time and was snickering while we looked at their offering of donuts. Decided to leave and went to get delicious donuts with friendly service at Walton's Donuts.
