My husband and I discovered Angelinas a couple years ago and absolutely love it! The fresh mozzarella appetizer is phenomenal! I have never had better fresh mozz any where. Every time we go, we each order something different and have never been disappointed. Everything is always delicious! PS...it's in a strip mall, but don't let that stop you!

Great service and great food. Hidden gem in Denver. New York Brooklyn Style Italian food in Colorado. The owner runs the show here. He's the chef, waiter, and everything else. Forgeta bout it! I've been using Yelp for restaurant ideas in Denver many times now and I am usually disappointed. I'm a New Yorker myself so seeing a New Yorker having his own restaurant here was surely a treat. Definitely a break from the usual "Hipster" crowd here in Colorado. Great food. Great environment. I'll be back!

Love this restaurants! It's a neighborhood gem. The owner cooks all the food himself. If you are looking for good Italian food, you must give this a try!

This is the simply the best Italian food I have had in the Denver and the metro area. The building is out of the way and secluded, but the food makes it work out

My wife and I had dinner here on Friday night, 1/23/15. The staff was friendly but it seemed that they were very short staffed. We were told the wait for a table was just a few minutes but it took 45 minutes to be seated. After being seated it took 15 minutes to get water and order. It took about 40 minutes for our meal to arrive - thank goodness we ordered a cheese bread appetizer because we were starving by the time dinner arrived. Our food was mediocre. We ordered the spaghetti and the chicken francesca. The spaghetti sauce was watery and both dishes were very salty. The staff was always buzzing around but there weren't enough waitstaff to accommodate the ~18 tables. Disappointed overall and won't be returning.

My bf is always on the lookout for good lasagna so we tried this out. Place was practically empty on a Saturday night...not a good omen. Complimentary bread was mediocre. Salad was okay, but entrees came before we were finished...so much for a leisurely meal. Lasagna was bland. BF said it was the worst he's had. Wait staff stopped by every few minutes and water glasses were filled constantly. It was a little too much attention. Decor needs to be updated....looks like nothing has changed in 20 years. Bottom line - definitely overpriced and would choose a chain or Jordanos's before this place.

Absolutely love! Always looking for good Italian food because Olive Garden doesn't do the job! Bob, the owner and chef is fabulous and always takes time to check up with guests! A must try!

We came here once before, food and service were excellent. Tonight however, this was not the case. We were seated quickly as we had reservations, and the waitress seemed pleasant enough, but tonight, the service was horrible, the food was so-so, and we had to ask for our salad, and ask for our check. We were very disappointed with the outcome of the very special evening we had planned. The people behind us and the people beside us were also asking for services that had not been provided. I.e. Do you think we can get our bread we been here over an hour? It was not a pleasant evening. We're disappointed with the experience as we had always felt that Angelina's was a home restaurant and catered to special attention.

High hopes but disappointed. Very friendly waitress but only one on what turned out to be a busy night. Service was slow but not her fault. Veal Parmigiana was rough and overcooked. Other dishes were inconsistent and lacking flavor (white sauce very runny). Bob was eccentric with his personality but somewhat inappropriate language with younger children at our table. Unfortunately the charming decor, decent wine prices and great location aren't enough to overcome less than average food and service times. We won't be returning. All three adults had upset stomachs after which was the final straw

We loved Angelina's, the waitstaff were excellent. We Had the mozzarella appetizer which was excellent. I had the ravioli which was outstanding, others had egg plant parm, chicken parm, diavolo. All were great. Bob the owner greeted our table, great guy. We are coming back for sure.

Best Italian food in Littleton! I can't figure out why I can get in here when crappy chain places have a wait. The food is great and they make homemade motz that is to die for. Do yourself a huge favor and try these guys out.

Don't think of this as a pizza joint. Yes, they serve Neapolitan Pizza, but the restaurant is much more than that. We used our Groupon certificate and had Lasagna and Fettucine and they were both great. It was a nice atmosphere, as well. The service was great and the Garlic bread was great too. I'll be back- though, it may not be for the pizza...I'll leave that up to Papous in Denver!!

Love this place! Discovered it by meeting a friend for lunch near her work and have revisited many times since! The last time was about a month ago and we ended up staying for about three hours total... drinking the amazing wine and taking in the atmosphere. The owner is great and always has tons of good stories to tell. Cheese ravioli is great and the desserts are even better. Will be coming back again for sure!

5 star prices for half star food. Nothing here was worth the triple digit bill for two people. I do love the noise level here as we were the only two here and the food still took forever.

The setup is pretty nice and the owner came out and greeted us. But when I tasted the mediocre garlic breads, I knew this wasn't going to be one of the best Italian restaurants for me. I really like Italian food yet it's hard to argue that a lot of the dishes don't really differentiate between each other (think pasta). Angelina's is exactly the sort of place that will confirm that argument. My friend Lynne's Lasgna dish looked almost identical to my Stuffed Baked Shell dish (and probably tasted very alike too!). Lynne's husband asked for Spaghetti with broccoli, he said it was good, I'm sure you could make just as good or even better at home. For dad, I ordered "Angelina's Chicken Special" (Half chicken sautèed in fresh garlic and white wine sauce topped with diced tomatoes and fresh mushrooms.) It sounded wonderful and it probably was the best dish of the day! They prepared it fresh and hot from the kitchen, which could take a while, but it's worth it. But guess what? Unless you threw some pasta on the chicken, you can't technically call this an Italian dish. ;-) For mom, I order the Meat Stromboli sandwich, out of curiosity because none of us have ever tried that before. It was just OK, I could slightly taste alcohol, could be just the cured meat though. Maybe it's not something we're used to eating... The most disappointing was my boyfriend's Meatball Parmargiana. How can you possibly mess up a Meatball sandwich? Even Subway makes a pretty decent one, and we couldn't be eaiser to please. Mostly bypassing the flavors of the meatballs themselves, all we really care about is that the sub has a lot of sauce (so it's not dry) and the cheese is melted enough to congeal the other ingredients together. Well you won't find that in Angelina's Meatball Parmargiana, it was exceptionally dry and the cheese was not sandwiched in, for some reason, it was on top of the roll. Our waiter gave us good service, when I asked for less cheese but some meat sauce for my Stuffed Baked Shell, he gladly wrote that down. And he came back a few times telling us the food is almost ready (because the Special Chicken took longer to make). At check out time, I gave him a Groupon kind of certificate and he obviously had never worked with one of those before so he couldn't get our totals right, after running back and forth to the owner and us for two or three times! Finally he understood and everything was fine.

This place was just "ok". While the server herself was pleasant, the food took forever!!! Don't eat here if you want to eat in less than two hours. Onto the food. We ordered stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer, they were ok. Nothing spectacular. The salad that came with meal was pretty good, but the dressing was not my favorite and you didn't get a choice. I ordered the chicken and shrimp Alfredo with broccoli. Not the typical Alfredo. It was almost too watery and was more of an opaque looking sauce instead of a usual white sauce. The chicken was good, but the whole three pieces of shrimp tasted funky. I LOVE shrimp and I couldn't eat the other two. There was also like a whole head of broccoli on my plate, a little much! I don't remember what my bf got, but he ate it all. Then again, he ate my yucky shrimp. Lol. Personally, I probably wouldn't go back here.

Food was so average but what prompted the review was the high price. $25 for 5 medium shrimp over spaghetti. Ended up being $65 with tip (one glass of inexpensive wine). So many other much better meals for much less money.

Saw a Living Social deal, yelped the place, so gave it a try. I am SOOO glad. The food was delicious. Granted the food took a long time to arrive, but it is MADE TO ORDER. So if you are in a hurry for Italian food, go to Cinzzetti's or someplace like that. We went late on Sunday, only two other tables, so not busy at all. The only waitress on staff was very attentive. Everything we had was very appetizing. Started off with house made mozzarella and fried calamari. My wife had the Shrimp and Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo, I had the Angelina's Special which is a half chicken broiled, topped with diced tomatoes and mushrooms with some spaghetti on the side. Neither one of us could eat everything, so doggie bags it was. I really appreciated the fact that the owner/chef, Bob, came to every table to see how things were. Most definitely will go back. If I could I would give four and a half stars.

I did not have a good experience, but I am giving them the benefit of the doubt for the food hence the two stars. In short, they (or the management at the time of my visit) do not fully understand the impact service makes on business nor opportunity-loss. The short of my experience is: I found this restaurant on Restaurant.com and decided to use some funds I have on there to try them out. When ordering a take-out, I shared that I would use a certificate for the order and no issues were expressed. When I arrived (I was THE ONLY customer in the restaurant at 6:30pm Thursday night) they took the certificate and went to gather my order. Upon return, they shared they do not accept these for take-out because "its purpose is to bring new customers to the restaurant." (Um.... was that not the reason I was there?!) So, they refused to use the Restaurant.com certificate for which they were going to get paid for, plus my additional out-of-pocket, plus the potential of a new customer. Additionally, the certificate clearly stated it could be used for any purchase from the restaurant and was not dine-in only. In summary, they not only lost the immediate sale but all future sales and recommendations from me; a far larger value than the small amount they perceived to be losing while I was standing there ready to pay and experience their food.

I'll be back to Angelina's. The food was wonderful, the atmosphere was much better than I expected for a storefront start-up, but the service...holy cow...the service was amazing! I cannot remember the last time I gave such a generous tip and it was so well deserved! This is almost an upscale Italian restaurant, or it should be. I felt the prices were very reasonable for the quality and amount of food served. There was a wide range of Italian favorites, but new dishes too, some that I had never tried. The portions were generous without being too much. The flavor was authentic, fresh, and simply wonderful. I paid around $70 for three courses for two people (with no alcohol), not including the tip. It was WELL worth the price for my girlfriend's birthday!

  • Samantha N.

As far as friendliness of the staff and chef go, Angelina's gets five stars. Unfortunately, the meal my husband and I had there was consistently disappointing. We went there for a nice date, but the food quality did not meet the price tag. The bread brought out to us amounted to Texas toast and was followed by a green salad that was topped with canned green beans and canned chick peas. My husband did not like his dish at all. I had the gnocchi, which was okay, but, again, not worth the price we paid. We decided to give dessert a go, and I was so very disappointed when I saw the tiny piece of tiramisu I ordered had been drizzled and soaked in Hershey's syrup. Beyond the quality of the food, the restaurant is decorated with light-up landscapes one might find in your local mall's Spencer Gifts, saccharine photos of small children wearing adult clothes, and other kitschy Italian items. As I said, the waitstaff here was so incredibly accommodating, my husband and I really wanted to enjoy this experience, but we will not return and cannot recommend it to anyone in terms of food quality and ambience.

The place is reported to be authentic NY Italian. It isn't. I don't know if the prior poster Debbie T. has ever been to NY but I lived in the city and this isn't it! If you go there with that level of expectation you will be disappointed. Bob the owner is a home cook at best, not a chef. He did come out to greet us, seems like a nice guy but he certainly doesn't cook like a chef. The waitress ducks out for a cigarette between courses and smells like an ashtray while delivering your food. The pasta isn't fresh, it tastes like Barilla...which isn't bad but I can make that at home for $2.00 and not spend 19.99 for an entree. It's far too expensive for the quality of the food, and you're certainly not paying for the atmosphere. Fine dining establishments don't typically boast a huge neon sign over the bar and beverage case out in the dining area. I agree with the other poster Tracy T. the cream sauce isn't good. My husband's red sauce wasn't good either. If you want NY Italian, go to Big Bills. They don't pretend to be fine dining and they're better than Angelina's at a fraction of the price.

We were looking for lasagna for lunch. Waitress was very friendly. When we ordered the "fresh made lasagna" she came back out and told us that the lasagna was still frozen. We told her to cancel the order as we watched the chef put the lasagna into the microwave. Leaving there we felt like Gordon Ramsey.

Awesome place. Italian food in a strip mall I said... Hmmm... But this place is great. Good atmosphere, good service, a local owner who doubles as the chef. With all that on his plate he manages to come out and make it a point to meet with all the customers during their meal. Would surely recommend. And this is no new place, open 21 years at the same location. Just wonderful.

This is an easy one to miss if you don't know where to look, but you'll be disappointed if you don't go. Went for Valentine's Day and they really treated us right. The decor was lovely, the owners and staff were great, and most importantly the food was amazing. Check this one out.

The garlic bread and the Mozzarella appetizer actually were the best things all night. That enjoyable moment however was quickly skewed when the green salad- which was unremarkable at best- appeared before we had gotten far enough into the mozzarella dish to be sated and this disrupted the flow of the evening. We were there for a relaxing evening and wanted to take our time. Alas, that did not happen as the main dishes also arrived too soon and were quickly disappointing: bland eggplant parmegiana with eggplant slices at about a sixteenth of an inch thick, a tasteless tube pasta with vodka sauce and a very heavy chicken Francesca. Of the three, the chicken was probably the best and the bottle of house wine was good. It helped the waitress was adorable and she sorta salvaged the meal. Bob came around and a bit too effusive since we had never met- This is a near miss - it seems clear someone in the kitchen has chops, but needs to attend to the details a little more carefully.

NY style pasta, all home made. I'd say it was good and a place I'd go to again to give it another 4/5 star chance. I had the LSR plate, it was decent and the sauce has some kick to it too. I'd say that if I need a quick meal and a place within walking distance I'll head on over here.

  • Mike B.

Horrible wait staff, hardly any bread for the price, watery pasta. The wait staff stood in the back of the resturant talking, never had water refiled (so basic) and it took 10 minutes for table to be cleared when finished eating. Be awar of the deserts, small in size, and not that good. No reason to go back.

Zero stars! The owner fondled/grabbed two of our party, was loud and insulting, and the food was horrific and exorbitantly overpriced. Let me rattle off my list of complaints: Canned salad contents. Not sure their gluten free bread was really gluten free - VERY DANGEROUS!! Processed cheddar cheese stuffed shells- yuck! Waitresses that give a flying f about you. Chicken Marsalla with 3 chunks of canned chicken, 2 cans of mushrooms, and watery beef broth- yuck! $20 per entree for processed and canned junk food? Let's just say I'm glad we saved room for Yogurtland following this catastrophe! Whoever thinks this is a REAL Italian restaurant with homemade, fresh ingredients needs to have their eyes and palates checked.

Wow, what a great restaurant! It feels (and smells) like a New York Italian restaurant. Cozy atmosphere, great service, great food. I can't believe I didn't know about this place before. It will definitely be top on my favorite restaurant list.

I have read all the reviews on Angelina's and have been there about 4 times with friends. If you don't know what real authentic homemade Italian food is you should check out this establishment and learn as well while you are there, learn what friendly great service is. If you want a chain restaurant with none of that go there or stay home and serve yourself. Each time I've been to Angelina's, I've ordered the Veal Parm, sometimes with the side of spaghetti and a few times with a side of cavetelli. My meal has always been of high quality, piping hot with the taste I remember from back in NY, where I am from. Bob, the owner and master chef, comes out to our table all the time to make sure that everything is fine. He jokes with us, gives a great handshake and hugs too. This is the NY way! You won't get that personal attention from other restaurants. In case you didn't realize, the salad is a NY Italian salad with HOMEMADE mozzarella cheese and homemade house dressing. Although I don't care for tomatoes nor garbanzo beans, my friends will always take them. I truly wish they were closer to where I live so that I could get there more often. I'm looking forward to their email with the NYE party announcement - it's a real possibility for this year.

I have read all the reviews here on this restaurant and I have personally eaten there 3 times with good friends. It can truly be said this is an authentic New York style eating experience, and the owner Bob, a former cop from New York, is following his passion, to run a restaurant, as a second career. The consensus of the complaints here are that he is "too physical or personal" and his food is of poor quality for the cost. Bob is very personable, and he cares. I think the physical hand on the shoulder, I've seen it myself a few times, is just the style that happens in New York, and neither me or my friends took offense. There's lots of touching in Italian families, and I think it's much ado about nothing. Lighten up. I'll agree the salad could be better, but other than that I found the food rich and quality and worth the prices. My friend is 3rd generation Italian, she eats and cooks that style all the time, and she loves it there, I consider her an expert. The comment about the restaurant refusing to seat the busy lawyer? I just can't see that at all. The waitresses are the nicest ladies, they were on top of everything and got big tips from us. Finally, even the complainers mentioned while slamming him that he had attracted them there with big discounts. It's very clear you just can't please some people at all. They get a big discount and complain about the prices? Really? At the end of the day, this guy is an honest small business trying to provide something authentic and quality in a tough nasty economy. He personally walks to each table and makes friends with his patrons. Come on, you're not going to get that at Olive Garden or even Maggiano's. I would much rather support him than some uncaring corporate cookie-cutter restaurant with no character at all.

Went here on a restaurant.com certificate and was mostly pleased. First off, the service was great. The girl seating and waiting on us was very friendly and did a great job. Even met the owner for a short minute when he threatened to break my legs if I didn't finish my whole plate....lol. I love character like that. The garlic bread that came out with our drinks was fine. It was a decent quality bread and toasted well. Nothing mindblowing but certainly OK. The salad was a bit of a disappointment. The house made dressing was pretty good, but the lettuce was iceburg! Sorry, on 25 dollar+ entrees i should get something nicer than 50 cents worth of iceburg. The salad also had green beans and garbonzo's or hominy or something. Overall, it was an OK salad but not up to par with the price of our meals. My wife ordered she shrimp scampi. It came on a bed of pasta and a lemon/butter sauce with lots of fresh chopped garlic. Really, the dish was quite good. The shrimp were huge and well seared. Plenty of good flavor here, the main problem is the portion size. She only got 4 shrimp. This plate was 24.95. 4 Shrimp, even jumbo ones, is not enough for that pricetag at a place like this. I ordered the seafood diavola or whatever they call it. THIS is what to order here! Same price as my wife's dish but piled mountain high with seafood! Plus 2 of the same shrimp she had on her plate with grated parm to top it off. It's at least 3 times the amount of food she got. The fried calamari was great, and the mussels were buttery and smooth. I ordered it hot for a little extra spice. Honestly, this dish could feed 2 so it's really not a bad deal. The red sauce was thin with larger chunks of tomato, and to my tastes was pretty good. I liked how the calamari on top was nice and crisp, but the ones down in the sauce soaked up the sauce and were soggy. Yum. We did not get dessert. Overall, we had a good experience here and would come back. There were a few flaws but for the price we ended up paying it was a great night.

This was my second visit to Angelina's, and both experiences were the same - edible but forgettable food, and nowhere near worth the price. This latest visit I had the chicken parmigiana; usually my favorite Italian dish. The chicken, drowned in cheese, was most likely canned. The flavor is hard to describe; the best I can say about it is that it was "off." A good chicken parm dish is comfort food - it should be one of those meals that makes you make yummy sounds, if you're not careful. Angelina's chicken parm made me hesitate between bites and examine it closely to see what was wrong. The house salad and side of spaghetti that came with the meal were both pedestrian at best. My friend ordered a pizza, which I had a slice of. The pizza - which was a shocking $27.00 -- was smothered in cheese and oil, which made the cheese and toppings slide easily off the crust. I ended up eating the crust, which also tasted oddly "off," then forking up the cheese and toppings from my plate. I'm glad I was out with a few buddies as opposed to business folks. The service was fine - friendly and attentive; no complaints - but then again, there were only 2 other tables of people eating, which should have been our first clue on a Saturday night (albeit a bit late, particularly for sleepy Littleton). Angelina's is another Denver-area restaurant which makes me wonder how restaurants which offer sub-par food stay in business. Also, the prices Angelina's charges would not be considered outrageous for a really good Italian restaurant, but the quality of food they offer is not worth half of what they charge. For good Italian food, look elsewhere.

After living in the area a year and a half and trying no less than 5 Italian restaurants we finally made it to Angelina's. What a fantastic place. The service was impeccable, taking time to explain different dishes, how they are prepared and making recommendations based on what direction we were leaning. App Fresh Mozzerella Entrees Scunghilli and The Wild Caught Salmon Special The app was very tasty, the way the peppers blended with the fresh mozz was fantastic. Would def. order again/reccomend that you try it. We spoke with the Server about various dishes and ended up getting Scunghilli (Spicy) and the Salmon special. Scunghilli was off my radar as I didn't even know what it was. The server assured me it was her favorite thing on the menu especially if you like something spicy. I do and it was! Very tasty spicy garlicy sauce with plenty of conch interspersed in the noodles. I loved it. The menu is diverse and we can't wait to come back and try some of the more traditional Italian dishes....with lots of baked cheese. Easily the best Italian place we've been in CO. Highly recommend, great find.

I've been wanting to go here for a long time and I finally got the chance. Was not disspointed in the least!! Our host, waiter, cook, all rolled up into 1 person was great. With his New York flare, he made us feel like family and was helpful and very personable. It was relaxing. As for the food, classic Italian at its finest! The salad dressing that was homemade was phenominal! We even bought a bottle to take home, it was that good. The calzone was cooked just right and the spagetti and meatballs we had was great! A little on the pricy side, but for what you get, it's truly worth it. Would definately reccommend!

Looking for trouble? Try to be a smart ass in front of the owner, a former NYPD cop. That's what I get for hanging out with three women after a wedding. My Yelp phone app is awesome. Food cravings after a wedding ceremony in an unfamiliar part of town? Taken care of in superb style. We found Angelina's because they were highly rated and offering a free bottle of wine if I mentioned Yelp. The place was empty when we got there and empty when we left. I think more people need to visit this place. There is good food and interesting stories to be learned here. We started off with the house made mozzarella - so good especially how it pulls apart. Two of us ordered the lasagna which was piping hot and quite tasty. Overall, it was a great experience and friends' company made it more so. We found out the bottle of wine came from the vineyard where the owner's parents met. How cool is that?

Came in for lunch last week and didn't have high expectations, it was a last minute decision based on convenience of location close to an appointment I had. Anyway I was very impressed with the food and service. Just a heads up the owner is a true New Yorker so if you have never experienced a true New York personality the owner may come off as a little intimidating (not in a rude way just an eccentric way) some might find this unappealing but I found it to be kinda cool and a refreshing change from the usual dull and boring people I'm stuck with at most restaurants in the area. It's a one man show at Angelina's, the owner does EVERYTHING which is very impressive and adds to the authenticity of the food, I mean I can't possibly be the only one who is turned off with those Italian restaurants that have Mexicans cooking in the back or even Japanese restaurants with nothing but white people cooking right? This guy is a true Italian and knows his stuff, he even told us how he grew up in a home where every dinner "was like the last supper"...I like that! I can't wait to come back for dinner sometime :)

The staff was very friendly, and if the entrees were 13-15 dollars each, I would say ok. Unfortunately this tiny restaurant is serving their food out of a can :( I felt like it was 1982 and I was eating at my Italian-Americanized mother-in-laws house. I'm not sure how long they have been open, but I think if they didn't cut so many culinary corners they would probably be busier. I am a huge supporter of small business, and Denver has some amazing restaurants but this one needs some help.

This review is a long time coming but in a few words, when I think of great Italian food, I will now always think of Angelina's. I was there about a month ago, after someone had read my woeful reviews of other Italian restaurants. She wrote "come to Angelina's; you won't be disappointed." I wasn't. Even now, a month later, I'm still thinking about the hot, bubbly, and fresh lasagne I ordered. All the ingredients came together perfectly, the way GOOD lasagne was meant to be....the way it USED to be made in the good ole' days. To me, a good lasagne is when one doesn't have to add any spices, the way I usually do at other places just to make the food taste a bit better than cardboard. The servers were very professional, knowing exactly when they had to approach the table, and allowing me to enjoy the dinner without being interrupted (every five minutes) with "How is everything?" While they did have music playing, it did not compete with private conversations people were having ... and for which I was EXTREMELY grateful. There's nothing worse, in my opinion, than walking into a restaurant where the music literally rattles your brains. If it were available, I would give this restaurant SIX stars. I can't recommend it enough and wish it were open seven days a week.

Not good! Portions are so small! I'm a 120 lbs female and left hungry! The Angelina's Special included a half chicken that was still bleeding in spots when served and had more salt on it than in the Ocean. The Ravioli's all 5 of them were in grease. The best thing looked like the slice of pizza the child at the table got. It's way way way over priced at almost 20 to 25 a plate! I wouldn't serve this to my cat! Sorry but don't go, oh and we should of realized when we were the only people in the place from 6 to 9! Yikes oh wait one person had salmon and liked it maybe they should be a seafood house instead!

My boyfriend and I got a coupon to eat here, after a client of mine recommended it. It was December 09' and being from the east coast originally I have yet to find amazing Italian food in the Denver, co area. We entered the restaurant to find we were the ONLY customers. Our waitress was very nice, however, it stops there. The cook came out to our table several times, each time was interesting. One time he yelled at us to "eat our greens/salad." Let me tell you about the salad: iceberg lettuce, canned string beans, canned garbanzo beans, canned olives and a weak homemade Italian dressing. Next: my boyfriend ordered the stuffed shells, this meal came out as a soup, he was unable to even eat solid bites. We told our waitress he did not want his meal and they were willing to make him a different dish but at this point we were done. The cook came out again, cursed a few time and insisted on taking his meal back and "fixing" it. This consisted of dumping cheese all over it and baking it again. Needless to say it was not any better. The cook proceeded to come to our table again, very angry, cursed a bit and gave us our bill for free. WOULD NOT COME BACK!

This place is amazingly delicious and authentic! When the owner makes his bread and cheese from scratch, it's purely heaven! The eggplant rolitini is the best I have ever tasted. The interior is cozy and can be romantic (depends on how many families are currently dining in that day). This is definitely upscale pizza, you have to try it!

We were completely unimpressed. One Yelp reviewer got it right, but we were lured in by the other better reviews, and a coupon our neighbor got in the mail. Four of us each had different orders, but all were watery and not very flavorful. We were the only ones there, yet the waitress couldn't take the time to answer a few questions to help my wife decide what to order. Not going back. Ever.

I am always looking for good locally owned, non-chain restaurants. I live pretty close to Angelina's and thought I'd give it a try. All I can say is that it was just "OK". The food was good, but a little bit pricey given that there was nothing overly special about it or the atmosphere. The service wasn't bad but not great. Since I haven't found anything better in the area, I will go to Angelina's again when I want Italian and I don't want to drive far. Don't go out of your way, but if you are in the area and want something off the beaten path, you might give Angelina's a try. If you keep your expectation modest you probably won't be disappointed.

The food here is OUTSTANDING. It is, by far, the best Italian good I've ever had in Denver. And moreover, we had a picky table: My mother is on a strict gluten-free diet; my father is a meat-eater who has never liked Italian food; and two of us are vegetarians (plus, we now live in an Italian neighborhood in Brooklyn --which is to say that we are used to having excellent Italian food). All four of us Loved our meals. and it is *the first time* my father ever raved about Italian food. All of us were thrilled to find a full gluten-free menu for my mother. And her entree was delicious (I had a substantial amount, actually). We also all split a delicious gluten-fee dessert that was excellent, decadent and not at all lacking for being gluten- free. and I just want to add that it all was definitely gluten-free. some restaurants aren't careful about this, but the chef/owner at Angelina's is. He is absolutely charming. The atmosphere was very relaxing - we had a wonderful dining experience all around. Highly, highly recommended.

Unassuming and located in a strip mall, this little hidden gem makes for a magical evening. The owner/chef puts so much love and skill into every delicious authentic dish that you'll think you're eating at your Italian uncle's house. He might even come out from the kitchen to give you a hard time. Everything is made from scratch: the bread, the salad dressing, the fresh mozzarella cheese (which is to die for, btw), the chicken parmigiana , the Stromboli. You can't go wrong!

Had a reservation and the restaurant was nearly full. Had to wait at least 20 minutes to be served a drink. Way too long to wait. The antipasti was very good--the canned green beans a bit of a bummer. The entree was good--Rigatoni--seasoned properly and tasty. The wine selection is sparse at best. Dessert was definitely a high point. Service was definitely slower than what I expect--my wife's water glass was too often empty and the wait for drinks too long.

From the prices and the sign on the door stating no tank tops, Angelina's is making an attempt to be the cute higher-end neighborhood Italian eatery. While I hope they achieve that goal, I don't believe they're there yet. Our server, Jane, was great. She spent the perfect amount of time with us; filling drinks and checking up on us and making sure we were happy. My wife and I ordered calamari for an app and decided to split the calamari and clam pasta and chose the white garlic sauce over the red marinara. Both the app and main meal were good - especially the white garlic sauce - it was a garlic and salt lover's dream. However we wished that the calamari in the pasta dish was prepared differently from the app. Both were breaded and fried. Perfect for the app, but too heavy for the main course. We also wished Jane would have warned us about that when we ordered and suggested something else. I hope the owners decide to update the interior design and layout to match the higher-end feel they're going for. The music, mural and lighting were nice. But the framed pictures on the wall reminded us of greeting cards. The lighted picture of NY's skyline and bridge while cool, does not fit the upscale eatery image either. The half wall that runs down the length of the dining room reminds me of a cheap buffet style restaurant. Overall we had a pleasant experience and may come back if renovations take place and they add homemade noodles to the menu.

I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant! The food was amazing, so obvious that it is made right there rather than being brought in like so many other italian places. We asked our server what some of her favorites on the menu were and ordered from there. Everything we ordered was better than expected. We split the Eggplant Rollantini for an ap - a mix of cheeses wrapped in freshly fried eggplant topped w/ the perfect amount of marinara and more cheese. My mouth is watering just thinking about it... :) For the main course, we had Sconghilli & Chicken Marsala - both things I likely would not have chosen on my own - SO glad we asked for a recommendation, both were awesome. Dessert. Mmmmmm. I did not think the meal could get any better. The tiramisu and and chocolate cream puffs were out of this world. I will go back for these things alone. As far as the comments from others about the decor, who cares??? The food makes up for it.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
