Great dive bar! Bartenders rock - totally on their A game. The live music is great. Drink prices are reasonable.

People watching here is fantastic. Especially on beer pong night. What is up with that night? No, seriously...Everyone looks like they're in high school. High school juice heads, no joke. Loves it!!! Oh, and someone said they had received a nice little surprise from beer pong here.....HERPES. (I only ended up here on beer pong night because trivia was happening before hand). Okay, on a serious note. The nachos were pretty filling and they have good drink specials. The place is big enough and I have seen one show here. I also hear they have live band karaoke, which I will be checking out. It is a tad out of the way from Denver though. Thumbs down for that.

Me & my pal Phil went there on a Monday nite to watch MNF. Some drunk chick who was there with her trailer park trash posse since happy hour and randomly attacked my buddy(mgr verified) and slapped my buddy for being racist with a West Coast Chopper shirt on. (BTW, ironically, 4 others were wearing West Coast Chopper shirts and it's a fuckin' cross not a swastika!) It was all we could do to get out of this trailer trash shit hole. Will NEVER go back. If your lookin for good bands and good ol boy '80's fist fight in the parking lot. This is your place. Didn't bring drugs? No problem. Easy to find. The cops will NEVER be called and they are either paid or idiots. I'm 6'2" and 260. Don't EVER go there alone. You'll get fucked up, I warned you. This shit hole has great bands, but needs SERIOUS help. Want a great time? Bring Frank Azar.......

This place is kickass! A lil' of everything to do. Pool, dancing, drinking, people watching! The band that was playing Cupidsdead was awesome! Very good entertainment! Will be back for sure!

Checked out the karaoke a couple Mondays ago. Great sound equipment and set up. The pool tables are just up from the stage, so you can shoot a game of pool and watch the stage. I've been there in the past for a concert, and I liked.

Overcharged for our drinks. Wanted us to pay a cover halfway thru the night even though the band wasn't ready when they were scheduled. Strip mall dive bar, catering to drunken bikers. Food is mediocre at best.

I've been going to this place for years. If you're into the biker bar, live bands, bikini contests well then this is your place! KBPI, radio station, does a lot of stuff here & I always have a blast. The Best Band in Denver, KBPI Bikini Calendar & whatever Willie B has up his sleeve! Its been around for a long time & the owner is way cool. They've got great food, drink specials, pool tables, music, etc.

I've been coming here with my lovely group of girls on Thursdays for their Ladies night for quite some time now. It is a bit of a drive from where I live and it does seem a bit oddly placed, but it is absolutely a diamond in the rough (at least on Thursdays)! $1 drinks for the females (and there usually are quite a few) until twelve, BIG smoking patio with mini bar outside, 2 bars inside, pool tables, live band, and decent dancing area. FIVE13 usually plays on Thursdays and they are a really fun, talented, cover rock band. There's a very wide range of people that are all there to have a great time with no haughtiness involved and even a large quiet area in the bar if you want to get away from the music. Worth checking out for sure. There's not a place that has all the elements said above and still remains laid-back and fun!

So sad to see that this place has closed. I live in the area and this was me and my girlfriends bar to go dance at on the weekends. So many memories in those walls ... :(

Contrary to popular belief, I'm not ALL champagne and pearls. Sometimes a sister likes to get her grunge on, and when she does, there's no better place than Eck's Saloon! Strong drinks, colorful clientele, and all your favorite local bands busting your eardrums on that powerful sound system - what more could you want?

Just awful! Dropped in about 11pm on a Friday and paid the $5 cover. The music and the clientele were "gangster rap". We hung out for 20min and decided it was not where we wanted to be. Honestly, the safety of my car in that parking lot was questioned. Refund on cover was requested but not provided. We will not be back.

Nope nope nope nope nope. Not my crowd. This is a loud, mostly run-down dive bar. It's really close to my house, so I've wound up there a few times, but each time I had to wonder why I bothered. Are the drinks cheap? Yes. Is the crowd absolutely awful? Also, yes. They even have a VIP room you can rent out now. From the web site, it appears to consist of a small TV and some folding tables and chairs. Which is about right and consistent with the "style" of this place. Eck's is also a "restaurant" and, please, let me stress the quotations there. I walked over once, very hungover and in need of nothing more than a hamburger, and got what was probably the sketchiest burger I've ever eaten. And, I ate it, because....well, hungry and hungover...do I need to explain? But, still, this couldn't have been anything resembling "fresh meat". In fact, I think I was the "fresh meat" that day. OK, enough with the quotations. Their special is fried bologna. Do I need say more? If you're absolutely and utterly desperate and only have a few singles in your pocket and cannot stand to not be drinking a beer RIGHT NOW, go to Eck's. No, better yet, just go home.

Last night was my first time here and we came for our son's School of Rock concert. It is a dumpy hole in the wall. However the sound system and speakers rock. Yes the concert was loud but when your son is performing you have to be in the front. We had great service from our tattooed friendly waitress. We love green chili and ordered a bowl- it was very good and tasty. We ordered the chips and guacamole but you get round store bought chips and the salsa tasted like it was from a Picante salsa jar along with guacamole paste. Would never order those again. If you come here for live music stick with beer and green chili. It's not a place I would make a special trip for, but I would go back if a band I like or a School of Rock concert is performing.

Worst bar in the world... They let u buy one drink than the queer with long hair beard and dumb ass shades stairs ya down then kicks ya out... And don't talk to women there or you'll get kicked out... Basically if ya wanna get kicked out and card stolen come to ecks gay saloon... Oh yeah place smells like a gay bath house piss everywhere...

Cool little dive bar. Place was actually a lot bigger than i anticipated. Recommended by a coworker so i decided to give it a try. Live music and great drinks! Tons of pool tables.

Parking was horrible, but I came on a concert night so that made it harder. My friend ordered food and waited 40 minutes to get served....nobody delivered the food from the kitchen until we complained to the chef. The drinks were cheap and strong...no complaints there. The bartenders were also friendly. They also had plenty of TVs for sports. If you want a cheap, good ole boy night out then this place is fine. Depends on what age you are and if you really care how upscale a place is. Given it's customer base and location I don't see this place changing to anything different soon. I guess if you like the retro grunge culture, eck's saloon is for you.

I'm a sucka for a good dive bar, and Eck's tops my list. It aint pretty, but it's fun!! The live bands are always good, there's always people dancing, and it's good place to wind down without the meat market you get at more "upscale" bars..(pardon the oxymoron). All the bartenders are awesome and on the ball. The bands are usually cover bands from the 1980's so don't make your standards too high. But if you go in here knowing how the bar is going to be, it is a pleasant surprise!!

Basically a dive bar, but they tried to "pretty" it up. Drinks are fine, locale is fine, and the place looks decent inside. Staff is mediocre, and the parking sucks. The killer is the crowd; your basic 106.7FM Willie B-style wannabe hardcore rockers who try too hard to get out the fact they drink hard, smoke pot, and aren't scared-a'-shee-it! I had more than my fill of jackass metalheads who wanna fight and create and scene and want to be the center of attention back in High School. Thanks, but unless someone is deadset on going here, I avoid it.

My favorite dive bar! Friendly vibe, excellent live metal bands, awesome, cheerful waitstaff. I always have fun when I go to Eck's!

When the bride-to-be told us that our next stop on her bachelorette night rounds was to be "X Saloon," we all thought that was how it was spelled. We all pictured some weirdo faux-edgy swank-wannabe nightclub nightmare (as would obviously have been the case with anyplace using the letter "X" in its moniker). What we DIDN'T get was the location. Off Kipling and Hampden? Huh? Is there anything there besides strip malls and gas stations? The answer is no. In fact, as we soon learned, "Ecks" Saloon was itself IN a strip mall, and across the street from a gas station. And it's about as far away from a faux-edgy swank-wannabe nightclub as you can get. Some KayBeePeeEye DeeJay was EmCeeing that night (check out how I spell out the letters all 1950s-style 'cuz I'm awesome like that), and the place was a mix of old bandana'd relics, tattooed party girls, country-western big-hairs, two-baggers, Eminem-wannabes, and... us. You know, the cool kids. In other words, Eck's is a place where anyone can come and be themselves. That's a good thing! The Thursday night we visited just happened to be Ladies Night, so draft Bud Light was free for those of us lucky enough to be rockin' the double-X (I mean "ecks") chromosomes. No cover charge either! Free beer is always good in my book. Still, like any other place, there are creepers. We had one dude come up and ask if he could take our pictures for his website, "Girls Gone Fishing." "We're not fishing," I pointed out to him (and resisted adding "Captain Obvious" to the end of that sentence). "We're at a bar." "No no no... it's a website for girls who can't fish," he explained, like that made all the difference. "But I CAN fish." "Even better! It's for girls who can fish too!" Dude was losing credibility by the millisecond. He handed me a business card, as if that might validate his cause. Because, you know, you can't print out business cards on your home computer. Just ask Dr. Greg Stegman, Traveling Gynecologist... he'll tell you it's possible. "I don't think so," I said, handing the card back, "'Girls Gone Fishing' sounds an awful lot like 'Girls Gone Wild.' How do we know you're just not going to Photoshop our heads onto some nekkid skanks?" Dude made a face like, "perish the thought" and his hands got all fluttery like he'd caught the vapors. "Oh no no no... we're not like that." Uh huh... sure. Still though, no pics were to be taken, and we spent the rest of our time at Eck's striking mockingly hilarious "hot chick reeling in a delicious bass" poses just to nail that fact home. In case this review told you little to nothing about the actual saloon itself, it's massively huge with several bars and a smoking patio, several pool tables, ping pong, lots of TVs, and probably Big Buck Hunter and Golden Tee in a corner somewhere. There's also a big stage for big music and a medium-sized dance floor for dancers of medium ability. And yes, it's in a strip mall. In the back, no less. Check it out.

Great place. Been going in during happy hr after work for a month or so after the place I used to go closed down. Great group of easy going regulars who are very friendly which makes going in there and socilising a lot of fun for me since im new to this part of town. Great staff, great happy hour deals, and the food is outstanding as well.

My wife and I really like Eck's saloon. We had the chicken tenders, they were very good and they were the largest tenders we have seen.
