This is worse than mall food.

Great spot. Awesome large patio to enjoy lunch on a sunny day. Staff is always nice and working hard. One of my regular places to hit for lunch.

I had lunch here the other day and the food was good along with a courteous staff. The prices are good and the place is always well kept. It is a great place to catch a good lunch that won't break your wallet.

This place is just around the corner from us so we have gone here frequently having been big fans of Tokyo Joes. This location needs to step it up as it is just getting to be awful. I've had sushi completely missing spicy sauce or other ingredients, soup either too much miso or once had only one piece of tofu in the whole bowl. They need to step up on their consistency. As of now, we stopped going.

I went in with my girlfriend and got the steak bowl with brown rice mixed veggies and spicy-aci sauce. I have to say that the staff was awesome making us fresh steak so we didn't have to eat what had been sitting under the heat lamp for an hour. The rice and veggies though I was kinda disappointed in a little bland and under cooked for my liking. I gave it 3 stars pretty much for the staff trying to make us the best product. Not sure when I will be back but I will consider it sooner than later just because you have good people working there.

Another work week traveling for Uncle Sam, and another lunch at a new place. Tokyo Joe's is a chain in/around Denver, and I saw at least two of them close to my work location. We were swayed to try it by local co-workers, and I gotta say it was NOT bad for casual fast-food style Asian. They offer bowls with rice, noodles, and all the add-ins. Made-to-order sushi rolls (though the menu is limited to the standard California Roll, spicy tuna, etc.). They also have soups, and salads. - I was very impressed by the selection of infused teas. - I got a made to order brown rice and chicken bowl with a peanut sauce, it was pretty good. - I also got a miso soup, but it was pretty flavorless and the broth was nuclear hot to where it vaporized any green onions, miso paste, or tofu...honestly it was not edible. - The location had a crazy parking lot...hard to get in an out, lots going on there. - Prices were pretty casual lunch cheap too. I think I would go again...try something else. ENJOY!

Not too shabby. I dropped into this particular Joe's to grab a quick, light dinner. I think I may have come here several years back, but if so, I seem to have forgotten how large this particular location is. Against my better judgment, I went with the made order sushi. I had the Joe's Roll (grilled shrimp, avocado, cream cheese, and cucumber). The rolling may have been a bit sloppy, but the flavors were not bad at all. The price was pretty reasonable as well. All in all, this sushi, with glass of water, made for a an acceptable and relatively fast dinner.

Last night my husband and I were in with our son for a quick bite to eat. We have been here multiple times at multiple different locations. First I want to say that the new surf & turf sushi roll is really good!! But 2nd I need to say that I ordered a 2 piece maguro. Which is rice with tuna on top. Well I picked up the tuna and laying between it and the rice was a nicely patted down long brown HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My appetite was lost. I was done. My husband brought it up to the staff to bring it to their attention and they said "oh. OK." ????? That's it??? You put a hair in my food and have nothing to say other then oh OK? No 'I'm sorry' No 'would you like something else?'?? No "Let me refund you" NOTHING! Needless to say I will not be going back to that location. Not only for the nasty hair in my food but the unacceptable customer services that came along with it!

I hate to say it but this place is a real rip off I ordered the "big bowl" Teriyaki Chicken. After delivering 3 incorrect orders, I received mine. One thigh piece that was greasy and cold. I have a feeling it was cooked in Texas and sent to Colorado in a plastic bag and microwaved. For all this. It set me back 10 bucks. Never coming back

It was a Friday, during Lent, and I was in no mood to go buy stuff to make dinner. So rather than getting a nice greasy fish sandwich from a drive-thru, I decided to give Tokyo Joe's a try since they have a lot of seafood options. Question: why don't I eat here more often?! The food was great, service very friendly and helpful, and the prices are amazing for some actually good, quality fast food seafood. It was $5.85+tax for my regular-sized Kihei salad, which has a small fillet of perfectly seasoned and cooked mahi mahi, mangoes, avocados, great veggies, wonton strips, macadamia nuts, and a honey mango dressing - for under 500 calories. Yeah, you read that right...and it was incredibly tasty too. See fast food industry, healthy but creative and tasty can be done quickly. I probably could have done the big-size, as I wasn't completely full at the end of my salad, but it was still a pretty healthy size overall. Would have liked a little more fish, but hey, it's under $6! The other options on the menu looked equally as good and reasonably priced. Thus I signed up for their Addict club, which nets you some nice deals on certain days of each month. This particular location was pretty empty during the dinner hour, so if you like to go to the Park Meadows location (which is probably busier and harder to get to), check out this one just down the road. Yup, I think Tokyo Joe and I are going to be good friends.

I'm addicted to their Yakitori sauce, I'd put it on everything I consume if I could. The downside of this place is that it can smell like dirty dishwater if you go in right after they open. Also, the staff is rude most times. I could offer my opinion of why that us, but I'll refrain. Overall, the food is good, priced right and quick. Perfect for lunch or dinner on the go.

This location is great, when it's not busy. We haven't found consistency in how well the chicken in particular is prepared, I guess we need to ask for well done.

I've eaten here several times over the past couple of months, and the food is always either way too salty from the sauce I have chosen, or tastes like I'm eating different colored chunks of cardboard. The service is okay, but seems to have some problems between take-out and dine-in- every time I say dine in, they get confused and try to make it a take out order. Not a big deal, but... how hard is it? I've eaten at other Tokyo Joe's and the food just doesn't do anything for me.

My first experience with TJ's and it was an OK experience. It was saturday afternoon about 3pm. Absolutely no one in there. Service was good, quick to take order. I was ordering out. Food came out reasonably quick, so thumbs up for that. I am giving it three stars to start out. It was just an average, ok experience. No major flaws, but also no stand-outs. One interesting thing was there was a very friendly (creepily so) guy hanging around the entrance. Wasn't sure if he was an employee off work or if he was just a regular. Maybe I its my jaded east coast upbringing. Definitely will go back and try again.

"Meh, the food was OK" "It just didn't do it for me" "There's better places" NO. Stop, just stop what you're doing right now and smack yourself in the forehead if you are thinking these thoughts. Granted as a Colorado transplant in California I now have IN-N-OUT :) BUT, I miss places like this that are healthy, quick and offer great tasting dishes on the menu at a good cost. And don't start with me about "That's what California is all about though" nonsense, because I assure you, the food out here is more fattening than you would think. Tokyo Joe's is like Colorado's gift to itself, the brand goes synonymously with the Colorado lifestyle...healthy, cutting edge (for the MOST part) and fresh. Every time I'm home, this, or any location they have, is a sure stop.

I have been a fan for years... if only I could get my Joe's fix closer to home. Though this is a Colorado restaurant and they are all basically the same, I find each one has it's own 'flavor' and I like Dry Creek just fine. It was very quite on the afternoon we lasts topped for lunch. The staff is very helpful and worked hard to make sure our needs were met. You can't help but love when people go beyond their normal duties to make sure you are happy. We all ate something different, and sampled each others. Every dish was hot and very tasty when it got to our table. We chose outdoor seating in the shade of the trees and building. Locals had walked over with their dogs and were eating outside with us. For me, if I see local residents or the local PD eating there I know it's good!

I really don't get what people see in this place. Its really really boring. I found the noodles overcooked, the veggies undercooked, and the sauce (just basic terriyaki) totally overpowering. I went during lunch on a wednesday and it was packed. They do a really good job cleaning tables and making sure things are wiped off but I wouldn't go back cause even though the food was cheap, I had to force myself to eat til I was full because it was so aweful

This was ok, I guess. I ordered the Tiger Shrimp Bowl ($7.55) and he chose the white chicken bowl with peanut sauce and brown rice ($5.25). We'd barely even got our drinks and sat down before the food was brought out. My first impressions were that everything looked fresh and decently hot but that the portions were rather skimpy (if those were Tiger shrimp, they were the smallest I've ever seen in my life). They were also seriously undercooked - translucent on the outside, and basically cold and raw in the middle. Gross. I sent the bowl back, and a replacement came quickly (with no apology), but it was only slightly better than before. At least the shrimp were cooked all the way through. As far as cheapish healthyish fast food goes, Tokyo Joe's is alright. I'd be interested in trying their salads but would skip the bowls.

Tokyo Joe's is another lunch spot I frequent. There are several in the area, but this one off Dry Creek and Yosemite is the one I hit most often. This location, while convenient, is busy. It sits in a small shopping plaza with several other restaurants and businesses - which translates to not enough parking during mid day! The food itself is exactly as advertised - fast, fresh and healthy. I am a fan of the white chicken bowl with broccoli, brown rice and spicyaki (spicy teryaki). At this location they actually let you pick the veggies you want for an extra $1 - which is nice if you want some variety. They also have a variety of vegetarian options, shrimp dishes and steak for meat lovers. All in all it is a perfect lunch spot for something that will fill you up with the added benefit of being healthy and quick, but go early or you might have to fight for a spot to park!

The small salad was good but a rip off! I had to go order again to fulfill my appetite. For that $, I would rather go somewhere else. I try every so often to like this place, but just can't do it.

Definitely a GREAT place to eat with good quality food...if a little pricey...I never get out for less than about $10-$12/person. The cost is most likely from the fact that the ingredients are Organic and high quality as well as the fact that the company boasts about how well it pays and benefits it's employees. Regardless, it's a quality place for "Japanese Food Fast" even if you can only afford to visit occasionally.

Great food, all of it fresh and you customize your dish with a long listing of vegetables. They even have a limited menu for fresh sushi. Parking is fine and you are near the Park Meadows Mall.

I'm a pretty plain person so only have white rice with chicken and Teriyaki sauce. It's good and never have had any issues but others I've brought there have complained about the quality not being the best so like others on here I say be cautious if ordering something off the beating path.

I love Tokyo Joes! I always get the edamame and the White Chicken Bowl with brown rice and terriyaki sauce. It is one of those meals that fills you up but is still pretty healthy. I love that they have a punch card to reward regulars, very nice touch!

I love this place... Healthy freshly prepared food, you can get whatever sauce, veggies, meats, and carbo's in the combination YOU want. Love that! Their noodle bowls are my favorite and their spring rolls and the sauces they give you with them are yummy, and the chicken satay is a huge portion for the price plus you get one of those punch cards and after you come in 10 times you get a free bowl... You can't beat that. I also really like the outdoor patio. I go to the Prides Auto Care place next door, leave my car and hang out at until my car's done. A Big Thumbs up!

Since this is the Tokyo Joe's I come to most often (although I've hit about 5 in the area), I'll write my review here. I stop in at least once a week for lunch and am always happy. I love to get sushi- the joe roll is my fave (shrimp and cream cheese). The bowls are great- I always get it with the spicy-aki sauce, which has a kick but not too powerful and noodles instead of rice, cause that's just how I roll. Lots of great healthy options!

Haven't tried the sushi yet, but the Hookipa salad was delicious!! The staff was helpful and offered to recommend items from the menu when I let it slip that it was my first time visiting. I didn't have to wait very long for my order, and was very pleased once I started eating. The menu is a tad pricey for this type of establishment, but not outrageous, and it depends on what you order. Obviously, salmon is going to be more expensive than chicken :) I'll definitely be going back to try out the menu, especially the sushi.

Tokyo Joe's is an odd bird. The garish, stainless steel theme is but a subtle reinforcement to the urban punk appearance of the staff. Seriously, the whole staff is clad in tattoos and body piercings, and the restaurant is proud of it. It was being used as an advertising hook for employment opportunities. Very cool. But more to the point, Tokyo Joe's is what I like to style "Cheap Ethnic Food Trumped Up and Priced Up" with Noodles & Co. and Chipotle acting the same way. The basic chicken bowl is a good filler with medium flavor, but more than edible and pretty delicious. On my most recent visit, I opted for Joe's Noodle Bowl which I found a little underwhelming. The flavors didn't mesh at all, and the udon noodles seemed a little too sticky (though this pickiness is only because I lived in Japan for a bit.) However, I will strongly recommend the Oyako bowl which, with a little spurt of soy sauce is an incredible meal, if a little pricey. I can't comment on the sushi, except for the inari. Inari is a real simple sushi and hard to mess up, so if you've got a sweet tooth this is a great place to pick up a to-go order of austerely sweet sushi. Courteous if punkish staff, pretty good food, and an atmosphere totally out of place in suburbia. I like it. By the way, the soda machine DOES say "Pepsi" in katakana.

When you can't take another burger or pizza, go to Tokyo Joe's. (And I don't just say this because I've played tennis with the mom of one of the founders.) Try the MoJoe bowl, a nice riff on (not) fried rice. Big extra--you can get brown rice at Joe's. Ask for an Addicts punch card--buy 12 meals and get the next one free. Would hate to admit how many cards I've filled, but they really should comp me a meal once in a while. No, it's not exactly like eating in Nagoya, but it's not Booger King either. And that's a good thing!
