Delicious, healthy and create your own Asian cuisine. What more could you ask for? I love white meat chicken, teriyaki sauce and gluten-free rice noodles with asparagus, mushrooms and snap peas. Yes I could have it my way without the calories or crap that McDonald's has. Now this is real fast food. It's fresh, it's delicious, and it's affordable. Without a doubt, you should try this place out.

Nope. Not for me. This is essentially one of those fast food that is not heathy contrary to what they advertise. Who puts teriyaki sauce on top of the chicken on a Classic Ramen bowl? I don't know why this is common sense to make this and sell it to people? This dish if you haven't ordered it I say don't! It's broth is flavorless and is simply just an insult to be called a ramen bowl. At $7.75 for large made me mad. Water, noodle, a few greens and one hardboiled egg? That teriyaki sauce on top was the last straw. Disgusting. You think I ordered the wrong thing? I'd say they didn't research what real ramen is. The staff are great. #thatramenbowlthough

We were in the neighborhood and spotted this TJ's after I remembered Chik Fil A was closed (bummer) and decided to stop in for a quick bite. The place was empty, we were the only ones, and that was perfectly fine with me. The gentleman helping us was funny, cracking joes with a bit of dry humor - he was clearly bored - but we didn't mind. It's all good. This TJ's is larger than most, cleaner than most, and the served us the most food in our bowl. Maybe it was b/c we were the only customers there, who knows. I have to admit, the lighting here was horrible though. Very dim (were the dimmers on low?), dark and drab, but given the time of day it was and the direction the building faced, I'm sure they didn't need much light anyhow midday. I ordered the combo bowl which consists of chicken and steak, brown rice, spicy aki sauce, and 5 random veggies. All of my veggies were crisp and fresh, my meat was tender and cooked just right, yet, they could've poured a little more sauce over the top. Oh well, can't complain. I just drizzled some soy and chili on top to help a bit. Overall, well done. 24cents cheaper (tax rate difference) than our usual place and much more food with a funny host.

Great place for lunch or a quick dinner. I know a lot of people enjoy the teriyaki chicken, but I would try the curry chicken bowl if you are looking for something different. The food usually comes out fast and the servers are friendly.

I went to this Tokyo Joe's last night (28Nov2011) with a friend. Neither of us had been to a TJ's before, a fact we shared with the gentleman behind the counter. There was no one else in line, yet the gentleman offered no assistance, just stared at us until we ordered. Then he mumbled something that we couldn't quite understand. The food was terrible. I ordered the white meat chicken, with white rice and veggies. The sauce was volcano lava hot, but nothing else was. In fact it was down right drab. The veggies seemed like something out of a frozen tv dinner; bland and no flavor. Very "Lean Cuisine" like. We also ordered peanut skewers, with no cilantro, those too were cold, the meat was cold as was the sauce. Since they were "special order" you would think they would be at least warm from being freshly made... While we were eating the same gentleman that took our order came in from outside and passed our table. He'd obviously been smoking as that was all we could smell for quite a while after he passed by. I would recommend spending your $20 dollars (and that was without drinks, we ordered water) elsewhere! Not worth it unless you are into tv dinners and don't want the hassel of nuking it yourself.

Went to lunch the other day with a friend. We had a beer and some sushi. Overall the staff was nice and made a nice presentation. The place was packed and they still had us in and out with a reasonable amount on time.

I've read the reviews of TJ. I would have to agree with most of the Yelpers. Yes TJ is known for their wide selection of Pepsi products (Mug Root Beer included), but I would have to say that their noodle bowls are their flagship product. Not many places offer up Udon noodles on the cheap and lightening fast but TJ 's has this market cornered. It was super busy and they got my steak udon no brainer veggie bowl top with peanut sauce out quick and it was super tasty too. Plus washing it down with a Mug Root Beer really left me satisfied. I'm going to give it two winky faces and a classic smiley. ;) ;) :)

I generally like Tokyo Joe's as a quick, reasonable, and fairly healthy option for food. This one is in a tight spot with several other popular lunch options so the parking is pretty packed and hectic with folks out on their lunch hour. Placed a to-go order that was ready when quoted for pick up and the process was easy. The staff seemed nice and the store pretty clean. Those are the reasons I didn't completely pan this place. As for the food on this visit...not so great. I usually like the bowls and haven't had an issue with that from the various TJ's I've eaten at. Today I branched out and tried one of their signature rolls from the sushi offering, which I have skipped mainly b/c I prefer sushi from a full out sushi restaurants. After this visit, I will go back to my normal sushi pattern and never eat sushi at TJs again. Presentation wise, the food looked great, but once I went to eat the Cali Tartare Roll it was a slightly different experience. First bite was ok, 2nd bite OK, but 3rd piece smelled HORRIBLE. For the life of me, I can't imagine why or how this sushi roll would SMELL LIKE CANNED CAT FOOD and I hope to God I am not sick after this. It is a really gross smell to encounter as you are about to bite into some sushi. I separated the pieces & 1/2 of them smelled like cat food. I literally had to throw it away in a trash can far away so not to be that gal with the stinky food in the office. I also got the Yo Roll which I have had before, and the first few pieces seemed fine, but I can't eat the rest from the canned cat food smell that is burned into my nose now from the other roll. Co-workers had the bowls and they looked great & their vote was thumbs up for their meals so lesson for today STICK WITH THE BOWLS.

Had the ramen noodle chicken teriyaki something bowl- whatever the first thing on the menu is. The chicken was cooked well, good veggie to noodle ratio, and good seasoning on everything except for the noodles. The noodles were mushy- way over cooked- and the whole bowl was drowning in sauce. I ordered the chicken teriyaki and veggies for my daughter- they brought the teriyaki sauce out in a ramekin on the side. I totally appreciate their thinking ahead and letting the kid (or parent) put the "right" amount of sauce on! I won't go out of my way to come here again, but I'm not horribly disappointed, either.

I work right down the street from here and had heard good things from coworkers. I went there today and ordered the ichigo salad with tofu instead of chicken and a cup of miso soup to eat there. After almost 20 minutes of waiting and seeing several people who ordered after me leave with their carry out food I asked about my order and they said it would be right out. When it arrived the miso soup was barley warm and tasted kinda weird and my salad was covered with chicken not tofu. By the time I finally got the salad I ordered 25 minutes ago I had to ask for a box to bring it back to the office since I was running out of time. The salad was alright but not worth the wait and wasn't that filling either. The menu does have a lot of vegan options which is nice but I'm not sure I would take the time to go here during my lunch break again.

I came here once for lunch with a few coworkers to try something new. I got a chicken bowl with double veggies. The service was quick but that's where all the good feedback ends. The chicken itself was dry and bland. The veggies were cooked well but it tasted as if no seasoning was added. Left very disappointed and would not recommend this to anyone.

I've seen a couple of these restaurants around Colorado and I was intrigued by their healthy slogan. I came during early lunch hours and they were pretty busy which was promising. I came and asked the server what her favorite dish was and she replied that she always built her own bowl. I decided to build a noodle bowl with dark meat chicken, spicy sauce and five toppings (spinach, green onion, mushroom, carrot and onion). The noodles weren't as spicy as I would have liked but I enjoyed how soft the noodles were compared to most udon that I've tried. Udon is usually hard to scoop up because of their texture but these udon noodles were much more easy to bend and scoop up. The sauce was okay but tasted like the instant udon you buy at Costco. Next time I might try the curry sauce instead.

Screw the haters, I love this place. Seriously, where else can you get a healthy wild caught fish rice bowl for about 8 bucks. People who rate this place bad are just used to unhealthy Asian food. If you want loads of sugar and hormone meats then swing by the local Chinese spot, but don't hate on Tokyo joes for providing a healthy alternative.

Decent food. Healthy and fast. This place meets that quick lunch need. Easy to get in and out. Overall the food was under spiced, but fresh. I would check it out again.

Fresh and fast! The appetizer of two spring rolls is one of my favorite things in the entire world! The food here is consistently very high quality and very tasty. You should definitely try to the udom noodles if you get the chance. Like any fast-causal place, Tokyo Joe's takes pride on being the sort of place you can go on a lunch break. It really takes no time to get your food, and if you order a starter it even comes in courses. The only thing that might be lacking here is the staff. While I have never experienced them doing anything "wrong," per se, they certainly could be more friendly and welcoming. They essentially work at a fast food place, and they act like it. They want to rush you through the ordering process, and the service mostly stops after you've paid at the counter.

This place is good. They have a decent variety in their menu. The sushi can vary in quality depending on how it's rolled. Usually it is good though. The quality of the ingredients tends to be good. They have a relaxed atmosphere, with usually done decent music. There is also a patio for outdoor dining if you prefer.

Compared to the TJ on Dry Creek & Yosemite, this one is much more skimpy on their portions. My advise - drive the extra 3 minutes and go to the one on Dry Creek. You will get a much better serving size!

So, I took my husband and kids here for Father's Day lunch because they were giving a free meal for dad. The food was good, and the guy behind the sushi counter was very nice. That is where the good experience ends. The cashier girl ( a girl with white and purple hair ) took her fingers and combed her hair with them the entire time she spoke to us. I'm not kidding.....digging her fingers into her scalp and stroking her hair from root to tip! Food Sanitation 101....you DON"T touch your face or hair when working on the dining room floor. When she grabbed my daughter's cup....she then took those fingers and put them on the rim of the cup!!! ( also food sanitation101). So her hair infested fingers were to touch where my daughter would put her mouth. In stead of making a big deal about it...I just grabbed a different cup. Also noted.....one of the staff members was walking around with his pants sagging....with his nasty gray underwear hanging out. GROSS!!! I had to go to the counter and ask for an extra bowl, so my kids could split their dish. I purposely went to the nice clean sushi guy, so the cashier wouldn't touch the bowl. Of course, she decided to inject herself into the conversation....and grabbed the bowl...sticking her dirty fingers right INSIDE the bowl! I finally asked her if I could just grab the bowl myself....then she grabbed another bowl, in the exact same fashion! So, I felt forced to tell her that she was finger combing her hair....and that I didn't want her touching my plateware. She got very defensive and barked at me, "I JUST washed my hands". This staff really needs to take a sanitation class, and thank the good lord that I'm not a health inspector. I only gave 2 stars because of the sushi guy.

I enjoy eating here. Not a fan of the teriyaki sauce. It's too sweet. I usually get the Mojoe bowl and add veggies in it. It has a sweet and spicy sauce. This sauce is a good balance of sweet and tangy and a hint of spicy. I love their Nikko salad which has chicken, avocado, almonds, and mandarin oranges. There Nikko dressing is awesome. I also love their Kihei salad which has mahi, mangoes, crispy wontons, cucumber, macadamia nuts, and tomatoes on a bed of spinach with honey mango dressing. Customer Service is awesome!

Every time I come here its been really good. I get the bowl with the white chicken, teriyaki sauce and on the side the green dragon sauce. The green dragon sauce makes it. Always fast service and free wifi.

I went here on a Saturday night not knowing what this place was all about. I've seen them all around the Denver area and wasn't sure if it was a Japanese food place or a Japanese coffee place (in my dreams right?) So we went and it was pretty dead for a Saturday night, we wanted something quick to replenish ourselves after a long trip at Ikea. They have sushi, noodle dishes, salad, etc. Usually when a place has sushi I need to not look any further at the menu but sadly nothing here appealed to me. I ended up getting some kind of rice dish and it was pretty meh. So meh that I can't even tell you what dish I got but it had noodles, veggies and tofu so I'm sure that helps right? The food wasn't horrible but price to value wasn't a good deal plus the employees seemed a little too preoccupied with themselves and conversations they had going on. I don't think I'll be returning in the future.

I dine at this Tokyo Joe's often, maybe a few times per month. I usually call ahead so that I can just pay and go. The staff has always been friendly toward me, my order has always been correct, and the food always delicious. I have never had any issues with service or speed.

The good thing about this Tokyo Joe's is its location near Park Meadows, that is also the bad thing about this TJ. While it is big and has lots of booths, the parking lot is crazy busy. Too many restaurants and too many people. The food is adequate and they are fast, so that is good. Still nothing stands out. It is a good alternative to salad though and it is consistent if nothing else.

Service was great and food arrived quickly. However the white meat chicken was pretty bland and the peanut sauce was spicer than expected. Veggies did seem fresh and the quantities in a bowl were generous.

!st time trying Tokyo Joe's was yesterday. Wasn't sure what to expect, but I needed lunch and fast. I had a chicken bowl with a spicy peanut sauce, brown rice and for $1.15 more you can select 5 veggies from a long list. It was good, but light on the chicken and heavy on the rice.

I just had tofu, brown rice and 5 different vegies along with their new really hot sauce. I like it hot so it was fine with water. Sat outside and looked at the colorful trees and the snow capped mountains. It was a nice 1/2 hour. Everyone was in a good mood and that was nice. The food is perfect for a quick lunch. I always feel saisfied. Friendly service and close to Loehmanns. My next stop.

The sushi night was nice on the wallet I will say, but waiting 15 mins for the sushi to come out AFTER the main meal was a little bit of a pain. The staff was friendly but not so on speed. Like at all. And I was sad that the long wait on the sushi was not rewarded with amazing food. My sushi was not in a roll as much as a pile on a plate. Not held together at all. And 'a touch of wasabi mayo' should not mean swimming in it to the point were one can't eat it. I've been to better Tokyo Joe's

New location on North Academy recently opened. Menu is, for the most part, pretty much the same as the other locations. Nonetheless, it's still awesome. They do noodle and rice bowls with your choice of meat, veggies and sauce. The "Spicy-Aki" sauce is a thick Teryaki-style sauce with a little zip (my fave). They also have a limited selection of real sushi which isn't bad at all. The sushi is bit pricey, but you're essentially in a fast-food joint, so you can't really beat that. The remainder of their food is reasonably priced. When you go, customize your own bowl by choosing the "Create Your Own Bowl". If you're a fan of teriyaki-style bowls, you must try Tokyo Joe's.

The food here is very tasty...if pricey. It's a nice occasional treat but too expensive for more than once and a while. I never get out for less than $11 for a regular bowl and drink. Food quality is pretty good and they use all the PC/New Age catchphrases...Organic, Free Range, Steroid Free, etc. That said, if you don't mind paying extra for that kind of thing and the generous pay and benefits they offer (advertised on every table) their often well tattoo'd and creatively pierced employees (chuckle) they have good food and a quirky/innovative business model. I'm a fan and I enjoy eating here on the rare occasion I'm in the Denver area.

The food was great! A bit slow for a non-meal hour, but fresh and healthy food with friendly service is hard to beat. I'm sure I'll be back!

I love that TJ provides healthy, fresh food and is a Colorado favorite. This location is busy at lunch time and not as busy for dinner. During this visit, the service was slow--maybe because the dining room was full.

Outstanding experience. Yeah, I'm a fan ... I've hit up many of their locations but today I went for the Lettuce Wraps and a cup of Miso Soup and it was deeelightful. The snow storm had the parking lot a bit crazy, but once inside it was like home. Really nice woman helped me at the counter, explained in detail all about the Lettuce Wraps since they are different than what you might expect, and then the guy who delivered my food can back later to make sure if I needed anything else, that he could help. Not what you get at any other Quick Serve Restaurant. It was yet another wonderful lunch. Surprisingly busy for this snow day too ... must have a following. A+.

I like that they offer cheap sushi, but thier bowls could be more saucy I guess is the word. They over cook the fish, and thier chicken is cut into such small bits you hardly know it's there. It is full of mostly rice. They have a great idea, but I believe they could do even better.
