    I just arrived in Denver for the first time ever, got to my hotel and Landry' was recommended to grab a good hot meal. I would have taken anything, but the staff at Landry' provided excellent customer service, prompt seating and fabulous food. I even stayed for dessert. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area.

    The service was not great at all...sat at one of the tables close to the bar so our server was bartending the entire time. We waited on her about 15 min before she even took our drink order then after that she sort of disappeared. We had to ask someone else to get her for us when we were ready to order. After she took our order, again she was gone for some time, didn't offer any bread while we sat there waiting, we had to ASK for that too! My boyfriend drank all of his sprite and she took a long time to refill it ...when she did she filled it with water!! (She apologized but it showed how much she cared and paid attention to us) One of the other servers actually gave us boxes when we were ready to leave because again, our server was not around. Pappadeaux is across the street and their customer service is worth the price so I'll be going there next time. As far as the food goes...not really worth my dime. It looked very nice on the plate but it's pretty low quality food, I would label it BLAND.

    Lived in the South for 12 years and Landry's there are pretty good. This one can only be described as bland. Blackened fish should have some kind of kick and creole flavor but was barely better than salt & pepper. The "fresh" fish comes at a premium price and did not taste fresh at all. Wife had shrimp embrochette, Average at best. Shared shrimp cocktail appetizer. Unexciting. Service is good and friendly. Friday lunchtime and the place was almost empty. I guess that says something.

    First time here and I was not impressed. My wife had the all you can eat king crab and she said it was ok but not worth the $60. I had the IPA fish and chips and it was pretty good. The service was ok but not great. Took to long for us to get refills on our drinks but overall was ok. I don't think we will be back. The only reason we went in the first place was my wife wanted to try the king crab and since she was not impressed I doubt she will want to go back.

    Another wonderful experience at Landrys. Caprice was amazing and made my drinks exactly as I like it! I forget who our server was... Brittney? I can't remember. She was blonde and bubbly and so nice to our family. I look forward to dining here again.

    This place is terrible, avoid at all costs! Bad service, worse food. Our server was covering the bar as well as our table, so service was slow, and our order was incorrect. We left just as our car was being placed on a tow truck: we were able to show the tow truck driver that they were towing us incorrectly, and get our car back without too much hassle- the tow company was towing cars that had parked in Landry's lot and walked over to a better bar, even though Landry's lot was relatively empty. Pretty consistent with the culture and attitude we experienced inside...

    If I could give it "0" stars I would've. This is by far the worst Landry's I've been too (I thought St Louis Union Station was bad). Poor service, no offense but if your waiter doesn't really speak English and he talks low in a loud place it makes for a long night. Not sure what's going on in the kitchen but food was HORRIBLE. Asked for a manager to share my concerns with and no one ever came to my table. By far this has been the worst part of my vacation.

    I know it's not fair, but after 15 mins of sitting and not even getting water we left to go somewhere they attend to you. Manager chased us out like we dine and dashed. Save your money and lunch break by just going to view house across the parking lot.

    Pneumonia took it out of me the last seven weeks, but I managed to make it out on New Year's Eve and stop one was Landry's. Having driven by it so often I couldn't believe I'd never been here. Our group was 5, so we were able to try lots of goodies My only complaint with the bread they brought was that it was not cut or even scored so harder to dole out. Our waitress was full of good spirit and suggestions! The clam chowder was delicious, and the salad was a nice light way to start the meal. We had the almond crusted mahi, the seafood platter which consisted of crab, shrimp and tilapia with crab, the stuffed mahi and the current blue crab special with BBQ shrimp. We all cleaned our plates and felt even though were full, we must try dessert. The crime brule was awesome! They have small portions you can order one for $2.75 or three for $7.99. Great way to get tasters and we did. No complaints here. We will be going back.

    Hubby and I stopped in for lunch on a Thursday afternoon hoping to get a nice lunch that didn't take too much time. We waited for about 15 minutes and didn't even have a server come and ask us for drinks so we decided to leave. As we were leaving we had the Manger chase us out wanting to make it up, but if I can't get water, why would I want to wait on the food. I can't even review the food since we never had the chance to order it.

    This place only gets a two because the server did an amazing job. I'll start by saying I ordered a steak (medium), and it was overcooked. Another in my party ordered a medium, and it was rare. The seafood gumbo tasted metallic and was completely unappealing. The server did take it off the bill - kudo's to her. The oysters rockefeller and shrimp cocktail were the only other highlights other than the server, but let's face it - it's hard to screw up cold shrimp! I should have known better than to get seafood in Englewood, that's all I can say!

    Over priced but very good seafood chain. I read the reviews and realize... Denver... Not a mecca for seafood. But still I would expect better. Now that being said, I went on a Friday night ... and it was empty... red lobster would be better... And I would never go to a red lobster. I will keep searching for good seafood in Denver because this place was not good. Perhaps if the 30$ dish didn't look like a puddle of mush... perhaps the worst presentation for a 'classy' restaurant I have ever seen. .. then I went across the parking lot to a super crowded Centennial... Wish I ate there instead.

    Very good salmon along with excellent service. Our server was very friendly and our food came out quickly. Was celebrating a friends anniversary and got two deserts on the house! I would definitely recommend this to a couple or family.

    Average at best. Many better options in Denver. Nothing was awful, but nothing was spectacular either. My wife had the king crab and I had a tilapia dish. The crab was pricey and my dish didn't taste scratch made. The only highlight, our waitress was very friendly and efficient.

    I was thinking something like swordfish or fresh mahi or something like that. For some reason, swordfish was not on the menu. The menu prices should support some better (and more) fish choices. But mostly, the menu was comprised of many different versions of shrimp. I had a wedge salad, was good and the lettuce was cold. I ordered two small plates -- Camarones Cocktail and Asian fusion Mahi Tacos. The fish tacos just tasted bad. It was as if they repurposed unordered Mahi and mashed it up with Kimchee and whatever other Asian condiments were around the executive kitchen. The tacos just tasted bad, just finished one of the two. The Camarones had been siting in the Cocktail Sauce for some time and were limp and soggy , except for that one single garnish shrimp hanging over the edge for garnish. The rest of the shrimp were small and limp. The sauce was very Americanized version of Mexican sauce, not bad, but not Mexican either, and couldn't save the limp shrimp.

    I had not been here for about 5 years and then my son and I decided to eat here on Christmas Eve. The food was good however my complaint was more about the service. We were waited on quickly and she took our drink order. We placed our order and the salad came out quickly. It was so so. Our food came out quickly as well and was decent but nothing spectacular. My son had the shrimp brochette which he really liked I had the fried shrimp. The server did not come back once while we were eating our meal to check and see how everything was not once! I was out of water fairly quickly and spent the rest of my meal with no water because the servers were racing by and I could get no one's attention. In fact the only time I was able to refill my water was when she brought the check. The amazing thing was that they were not that busy! Next time we'll go to Bonefish.

    I actually have been eating here for about 16 years and I used to eat there a couple times a week when I moved here. Now I eat there about a couple times a year cause it's just not as good... I went there in December of last year and it was pretty good and in June of this year and it was pretty good and tonight it was very weak. When we drove in the nearly empty lot, we were stopped by a security guard in a very "yell at you" fashion, and he asked us if we were going to Landry's to make sure we weren't going to the very happening restaurant next door, the View House. They should just make him walk the lot instead of setting up an east German/west German checkpoint Charlie type station... This was the bad start to a bad night. Anyway...when we were walking up to the door my girlfriend pointed out the happy hour till 6 sign since she wanted a drink. When I asked the hostess at the desk what time it ended (6) the manager kind of snapped to the waitress "don't forget to tell the customers that happy hour is only in the bar" which is lame, probably driving the customers next door... Then I realized it was the super mean (for lack of a better word) manager from my bad experience at Simms Landing (see link at bottom). Anyway, to make a long story short the wedge salad was nearly wilted and you could tell it was cut and stuck in fridge all day. The service sucked and when our waitress never came back after she dropped the salads on the table I flagged a waitress for another table passing by for some more dressing. 5 minutes later it never came nor did our waitress come by so I got up and found the nearest person, the manager, and asked her if I could get more dressing. Soon our waitress came out with the dressing. Then she asked if we wanted our food since it was ready and I said yes, since I didn't want it to sit and get cold while I was eating my salad so I double teamed the salad and scallops. Scallops were small, the size of shrimp and it was 30 bucks for an appetizer size portion five of them...it sucked. I ran out of tea since our waitress never came back and had to flag down the manager. By that time our waitress was getting pouty and stomping and reminded us of a child having a temper tantrum... I would have complained but I was afraid the manager would have just yelled at me like she did at Simms Landing... As I mentioned above, I actually had a terrible experience at Simms, a restaurant owned by Landry's a couple years ago ( yelp.com/biz/simms-steak… ) and it was the same useless manager. One of those people that think they are more important than you and they don't realize you are paying their bills. Overall, just spend your money elsewhere. Red Lobster or Pappadeux, The Fresh Fish Company, or McCormick & Schmicks's in ascending order by price. I heard the Oceanaire downtown is good too.

    Had a great time with my wife and all that seafood that Landry's had to offer. The staff was really nice we got there 10min till closing and they still waited on us. Shantel was our waitress she was very friendly. She made sure our glasses stayed full and keep crabs on my plate. Mary was a nice hostess she made sure there was still something in back for us to eat. She was also really nice not just to us to all of the people that was still in there eating. Will be going back to get my grub on again. SOON

    I know that living in Las Vegas makes my customer service expectations high, but I still think customer service is about pride in the product and a good attitude. And both of these things can be found everywhere. When I walked in to this restaurant, everyone was nice to me EXCEPT my waiter. He turned out to be the bartender, which explained the attitude. But really, customer service is still important even if you are waiting on someone you don't want to wait on. I found my experience extremely lacking, which did not make up for the mediocre food. The highlight of the meal was the clam chowder, which I really enjoyed. The lowlight was the bread pudding, which was so dry I needed a water refill to attempt to finish it (attempt failed lol). In the middle was an entirely forgettable Mahi entree, which only made an impression on my pocketbook. Overall, not worth the time or money. Time to find another restaurant to eat at......

    Not a good experience, I would highly recommend thinking twice and reading the other reviews before you go! I desperately wish I would have read the reviews before visiting... especially the one with the photos of Landry's mold problem. If you want good seafood Pappadeaux's is just across north a bit and across I-25 Here is a list of other restaurants I have had a significantly better experience at and would have rather gone (in retrospect): The Waffle House McDonalds Burger King KFC Long John Silvers The saddest news of all...I just found out that Landry's bought out my all time favorite steak house "Morton's" they closed down the southern location. Recently went to the one in downtown Denver for my birthday, and almost cried when i found out Landry's bought it out... I go about 3-4 times a year and drop $300-$500 well spent dollars on a group of friends, but sadly this waslast trip i make to Morton's or Landry's.

    Went to the all you can eat crab night on Thursdays along with my family. Doesn't matter how old you are they still charge you $60 bucks a person??? even for kids under 8? Come on Landrys...anyways other than the price the crab legs were...well they were great! But at the same time would you expect anything less than king crab legs? On to the rest of the food...since everyone was $60 bucks, my wife and kids opted for regular menu food...just myself and my oldest had the crab. Basically the menu food is like Pappadeauxs but not near as good. If you want crab legs come to landrys...if you want menu food go somewhere else...

    We had a delicious dinner last night. And service was great. I had... --Calamari app - (good) --Citron Ginger Stoli martini (very good) --Seafood Platter (broiled) - (very good) I wish I had a pic. It came with a fish fillet, lots of shrimp, and a large crab cake with the consistency of hard mash potatoes...but it was good. It was all really good. --Banana Creme desert (ok) Probably put down 4,000 calories. If you fee like a nice, relaxing, homestyle, dark comfortable restaurant with family, work people, date, etc....this is a good suggestion. Old school feel.

    The Landry's in Englewood, CO is amazing. My husband & I went there recently & the scallops were cooked perfectly. Our waitress was attentive. The atmosphere was great. Its now our go-to place for fresh seafood!

    We had to wait several minutes for an open table despite there being numerous tables open in plain sight, which gave me an odd first impression. With that out of the way, the rest of the experience was pleasant. The firecracker shrimp is a must-have as a starter. You could also have it not as a starter. Lots of options. The salmon prepared on a cedar plank was a nice touch and deliciously so. I'm not a huge fan of the ambiance but hey you can't have everything.

    Food was well below average. Stale bread, shrimp cocktail okay, flounder sandwich gross, oyster rockefeller not great, everything was pretty much not good. Service slightly below average. Wait times for water refills and plates being cleared were pretty long, which was interesting because the restaurant was 90% empty. Won't return.

    We went to Landry's in Denver Last Night to Celebrate our 20 Year Anniversary- There were 4 of us.. We All Had The all you Can Eat King Crab Legs It was off the Charts... The Quality was great , The Service was awesome I know There have been some poor reviews on Yelp But we tried it Last night and I am So Glad we Did - The General Manager Dan was First Class and The Waiter Chris was Superb... we will be going back again soon

    I was under the assumption that Landry's was a good seafood restaurant. Upon entering it smelled like old fish. That was the first red flag when we should've turned around and left. The crab spinach artichoke dip was visually unappealing, oily and tasted salty. The garlic bread was bland and quite a disappointment for something that should be so easy. The house salad was good however I would recommend getting the salad dressing on the side. The scallop dish was also disappointing. The spinach was too salty to eat. I am not sure if the scallops were fully cooked and was unable to eat them. The lighting was too dim that I couldn't be sure. The seasoning on all the food was off. The only saving grace was the waitress who was kind happy and professional.

    Really rough. Had blackened Mahi and some sides that were one step above a microwaved meal. It was so bad I sent it back. On the positive side, the bar service was great and saved what would have been a zero star meal.

    My girlfriend and I went to Landry's last night for her birthday. It was about 8:00 on a Thursday night and it was not very busy at all. The hostess barely greeted us. She never said "hello" or "how many people will you have tonight?" She just starred at us until we said, "just the two of us." After we told her we did not have reservations (which didn't seem necessary), her and the other hostess frantically searched for a table. After being seated, we met our waitress, Chantell. She was not friendly and was rather blunt. My girlfriend wanted to order a salad instead of fries and onion rings, but substitutions are not allowed at Landry's - at least not without cost. (After reading the menu - sharing is frowned upon as well.) Our food arrived quickly and was decent, but certainly not worth the price. It's Denver. I understand the seafood is not going to be spectacular, but I would expect more from a high priced restaurant. The service really went down from here. My girlfriend and I are in our early twenties, we didn't order drinks - I'm sure there is a multitude of reasons in the waitress's mind that we would not give a good tip. Little does she know, I usually tip about 25% for good service. But this was not good service. She went to her other tables multiple times to make conversation, check on them, and make sure they were having a great dinner. I'm sure their review would look much different than mine. We said "thank you" for dropping off our food, to which she said nothing and hurried away. She never checked back with us after giving us our food. Our water refills were few and far between. We did not have water during our meal. She gave us the wrong check at the end of the meal and was slow and unapologetic in switching the check. Even the manager stopped at every table in our section to see how their meal was progressing except for ours. I have been to Red Lobster and gotten better service and similar quality food. There are plenty of great restaurants in Denver - spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

    Bad just bad. Service wasn't very good, food wasn't good at all and was quite expensive for the prices, I would rather go to Papadeux right across the street for better tasting seafood honestly, red lobster would have better quality sea food.

    Poor management. Don't waste your time. We went to Landry's on a Sunday night. The dining room was nearly empty; the bar was packed. The hostess offered to seat us immediately at the one open bar table, but we requested a table in the dining room. She said that they were short staffed so there would be a bit of a wait,probably 10 minutes. 30 minutes later, after we had heard a server ask the hostess to give her more tables because she only had 2, we left. Not worth it.

    I love Laundry's because of their authentic Louisiana seafood gumbo and fresh oysters so when we say the sign from the freeway on our way to the Outlets at Castle Rock we decided that on our return trip we would stop in. That was a great decision. The oysters (we had two dozen) were fresh, the gumbo superb and the service was terrific. I loved the spacious bar, the nostalgic pictures and the overall atmosphere!

    Over priced and under flavored muscles. Got Caesar salad and bread was "in the oven". Then why bring out the salad just yet. $8.00 shot of Jim Beam...come on. I guess their JB is made directly by Mr Beam himself......lets see how thier fried oysters are. Well the oysters are tasty, lightly breaded and not over fried. I could have personally done without the mountains of fries, space taker. For steamed muscles I prefer Pizza Repubica's. They know how to make flavor really pop.

    Food is mediocre and servers don't listen to requests. We want there early on a Friday evening and not too many people there. We asked if we could have some time to finish out appetizers before our meal was served. She did not listed and they served our meal anyway. By the time we were ready to eat our dinner it was cold. And to top it off our check was $175.00 for two people. We won't be back anytime soon.

    Be cautious of going to eat at this restaurant. IF you leave or walk across the parking lot to another bar, they will have your car towed by Maxx Towing. We ate dinner at Landry's and then walked across the parking lot to the View House about 30 minutes before the restaurant was closing. It cost $320 to get my vehicle back...

    Easily the most unappealing menu I've experienced in a long while and I am someone who typically finds multiple items that I want and struggle to choose! We had apps only because we had sat down already, the service was good, but it's as though they've tried to make the entrees boring and particularly stifling with regard to their accompaniments. Just unimaginative and extremely over priced for the offerings. For the sake of convenience we could have gotten over the price issue but when 4 people cannot find anything that looks appealing - well we paid our app bill and went to Pappadeaux's.

    Boy did we feel like we got robbed on their all u can eat king crab. They only do it on Thursdays so we were excited that we both had that day off. Made reservations a week in advance and was anticipating meal all week. So after 2 drinks each and 2 all you can eat crab legs our bill hit a grand total of $202.00. The worst part of this deal is that when you order the special you get all the crap pieces of crab at the bottom of their box, we were shocked at one point that our plate came out with 2 legs, 1 small claw and 7 knuckles. The crab almost had a rubbery consistency and the shells wouldn't snap or break, they seemed over steamed cause the meat inside was also dry. Until a bit later in the dinner we noticed tables around us getting these chrome pots with "huge" premium pieces of crab where the restaurant even sands down the spikes and pre-cuts the crab for easy cracking, they also would get a huge side dish and salad all for $50 bucks. The all u can eat is $59.99 and don't forget you get the grade D crab and not the grade A you'd expect. At the end we only was able to actually order 3 plates of crab but only eat 1/4 of each plate as the rest was the garbage pieces. It should be made clear that if you order their special that the quality drops significantly. We will never go back...

    It was cool. It was late after the Donkeys game, and we had a new Waitress. She was awful, but it was cute cause she tried really hard. As long as she inows to keep it up, and just be great with the People skills, and people like us (Real People) will not mind. 5 stars still for Service!!!

    Been here several times and it's always been wonderful. Service was great. Broiled seafood platter was fantastic. Gumbo was good, though saltier than I'm used to and used a brown broth instead of the more traditional red. It's a place that if you want to be in by a certain time, it's safer to call in for a reservation or to at least put your name on the waiting list pretty much any time of year, though in holidays, make those reservations early.

    Cold food, nice bartender but didn't know his beer and poor service. 2 spoons of my soup and here came my cold entree. Sent it back now the shrimp was over done. Save your money and just go somewhere else. Big let down. Not a manager in sight. Felt like a turn and burn place.

    Great happy hour food, but don't challenge staff on wine. We got a questionable glass of cab and two managers really pushed back on pouring another glass.... Or from a new bottle. Seriously. It's a $4 glass of wine. Guess profit margins are tight...won't be back...

    Although the wait staff is extremely polite, and attentive, the food is terrible. Granted, I'm from New Orleans, so I'm used to spectacular seafood. The oysters were very good, although some of them were ridiculously small, and either should not have been served, or they should have thrown in a few extra. We each had the Seafood platter, and it was extremely disappointing. The stuffed crab had much more shrimp than crab and was a somewhat runny consistency. The shrimp were small, over cooked, and not cooked in fish fry, as they are in the south. I also bought, for 25.00, a membership to their restaurant points thing.     Big Disappointment! My husband and I have been wanting t eat at Landry's for quite a while, so we were really looking forward to going on our anniversary, the service was awful. Our drink order took a long time, we ordered an appetizer and got the salad first, no water, then we got our main course I told the food runner that we never got our appetizer he said well you better eat this before it gets cold, I had king crab legs and nothing to crack them with by the time I got the cracker my crab legs were cold!Then we finally got our appetizer, no apology or anything. The sever didn't check back we wanted to order another drink and had to flag her down, once again it took a long time. Needless to say she didn't get a good tip and we are generally good tippers. Won't be back!

    Terrible experience. We found hair in our food; the waitress had no regard. My wife and I agreed that both of our dishes were very bland, too. Very disappointing for an "upscale-ish" seafood restaurant! I'd recommend going to RED LOBSTER instead!

    We hadn't eaten here in years, So we thought wd'e give them a try.I should have realized there was an issue when we noticed the parking lot was empty at 7pm on a Friday night. We started out with the oysters on a half shell. Fresh and good. All down hill from here. Could have gotten the same fried food at 1/4 the price from Dennys. Don't waste our time. But, I do have to admit. The service was great.

    We brought our family of five for all you can eat crab legs and the food was fine, but if you go: Beware the crab Nazi! My husband, my teen son and I all spent $60 for the crab. My 13 yo got an adult meal and our 8 yo got a kids meal, but she really wanted to try some crab legs. We thought the manager was coming by to make sure our meal was ok. Turns out he was assessing who ordered what so he could spend the rest of our meal watching us and sending the waitress over to talk to us when we shared a little crab with our daughter. We were seated near the kitchen, so were right by his perch where he stared at the tables and interrogated other waitresses about whether their crab customers were SHARING. Our waitress was really cool about everything and we tipped her well on what ended up being a $200 bill. It's a shame that the manager's behavior left us feeling like criminals and wondering if we would want to go back.

    We stopped into Laundry's looking for a healthy, quick lunch option. They delivered on the quick part, but much of the menu consists of fried seafood. I had the "Lunch Box" special and chose the tossed salad and fish tacos for $12. For me, the salad was slightly below par with a lot of white, iceberg lettuce and overly-tangy dressing. The server had told me their fish tacos were the best she had ever had. Sadly, I did not agree. They were average at best with fried cod and minimal cabbage or other fixings.

    We went for a birthday party. I was so worried because my husband and daughter went another time before and got sick off the all you can eat crab legs. We got a shrimp cocktail and a salmon bruschetta for appetizers. The shrimp was good minus one that was left deveined. The bruschetta was good as well. My husband ordered the filet with a side lobster tail. He ate only bites of both. He said they were were both terrible. And after i found out the filet was $33 and the tail was $26 I was disgusted and shocked. He should have told them to take it off. I got the almond crusted mahi. I really enjoyed it. It did come with mushy rice that I did not eat. For the heck of it I got a side of crab legs and they were pretty good and woke up feeling fine. I will say this is supposed to be considered an upscale restaurant. Thats a joke. Unless, our friends want to go back for their birthdays again we will not be going back.

    DO NOT GO TO LANDRYS!!!!!! They have a parking Nazi on staff and if he doesn't see you go into the restaurant he will have your car towed. I was there for 5 minutes and happen to see the tow truck by my car. I ran out there and jumped In the driver seat. They called the cops and I had to pay $70 to have my car released. If I didn't catch it in time it would have been over $300. We usually spend over $100 a week there, never again

    Shocked that yelp ratings are so low. Excellent, good, yummy are words that come to mind. Its pricey but most seafood places are. Food was good and well seasoned, good favor and very close to New Orleans favor. I have yet to eat ANYWHERE in Denver yet that was as authentic and true to the Cajun food culture. Service was great waitress was friendly and expanded and answer all our questions.

    I don't know why i keep coming back over the years but i won't anymore everytime we ate here we had poor service and poor management. My crab legs were cold and they MICROWAVED them and tried to tell me they were a new set i marked one of them because this happened before so i know it was the same legs, horrible, and then they were chewy, ugh. Never again.

    I've gone to Landry's a few times now. Its real close to my place of employment, and we always recommend them to our guests. And of course, weget a kick back for doing so! I took my hubby for a lunch date the other day using my gift certificate. I always love the atmosphere at the restaurant, its pretty quiet and casual. The staff are always very nice and attentative! I love shellfish and shrimp is my favorite so I decided to try one of their new dishes which was a Lemonade Fried Shrimp, and a side of french fries. My husband ordered the Crawfish Etouffee that came with a side salad. I was kind of disappointed with my dish. It could have used more time in the fryer. That's one thing I am a little picky about on deep fryed items, I like it a little crispy. The flavor was just okay as well. My husbands dish on the other hand.. delicious!! I think we ended up splittling our meals and I ate quite a bit of his, wishing I had been a little more adventurous and stepped out of the box this time around! But yes, overall it was a good lunch...and we'll definitely be going back again!!

    I know Landry's is a chain place and the location for this one isn't great, but I had one of the top 5 servers ever for our Father's Day dinner. She was terribly friendly, engaged my daughter in some activities, and was even humorous at times without being overbearing. I sought the manager out to make sure he knew what an asset she is. 5 stars for the service (would give 10 if i could), and about a 3-4 star meal. We had some oysters which were better than usual, crab was cooked well, and some good stiff drinks from the bar. I wouldn't go back regularly, but because of the service, it's a place i would consider again sooner rather than later.

    Friday night, most tables were empty. It took Landrys 45 minutes to serve us, and all they could do was apologize, nothing else just a whiney waitress, who interrupted our conversation twice to blame the kitchen. Then another person came along, didn't introduce herself and all she could do was apologize and blame the kitchen, not to mention she stepped up and started talking, which cut into our conversation. I think she was the manager. Shrimp was like rubber, the plate presentation was thrown on the plate with French fries all over the shrimp, then some disgusting piece of bread, hard as a rock. WE WONT GO BACK. This was a pathetic excuse of a restaurant and we should have known when most tables were empty on a Friday night. We will go back to Flemings.

    Saw the sign along the freeway to my hotel and decided to come back and try it. Week night. Great service. Really good crab cake. Had a mojito... my first... why did I wait so long? Delicious. After I went here I heard it was well known and some liked it and some not so much... gotta tell you we are not on the coast and no local seafood. If you're looking for that get on a plane. But if you're not a snob and just want decent inland seafood and a nice time in a pleasant restaurant... this is a great choice.

    Not wanting to drive anywhere, I walked across the street on a Saturday night around 8 PM. I was told there would be a half hour wait. The hostess Danielle took my name and I meandered over to the bar. I ordered a draft beer while I waited. The bar was totally packed as was the seating area adjacent. The bartender wasn't really very friendly although at the time it didn't really matter to me since I wasn't going to be dining at the bar. About 20 minutes went by and I wondered up to the hostess stand to check on the progress. In most of the Landry's chains you are immediately asked by the hostess if you are a Landry select member or in the case of a resort area such as Orlando or here apparently you are asked if you are staying locally at one of the hotels. If so, there are some perks that you obtain. One of these is to cut the line and another one includes a free appetizer or dessert. I wasn't immediately asked if I was in a hotel or a Landry`s select member by the hostess until I brought it up. To her credit she was extremely friendly about it and immediately I was seated at a 4 top by the window which opens to the dining area outside. She then went out of her way to detail the rules for me table side which was a nice touch. The lighting inside this restaurant is nice with a slight yellow incandescent glow. The walls are dark wood, they have carpet and a slightly vaulted ceiling in the center with a grayish white light casting its shadows upon the ceiling for slightly romantic feel. There is Wi-Fi available. My server's name was Jason. He had worked here 3 months. He introduced himself and offered water with my beer from the bar. I was ready to order immediately since I had plenty of time in order to Peru's the menu while I waited for a table. I ordered the Shrimp Fresca, which was described as: parmesan encrusted jumbo shrimp, broiled &topped with jumbo lump crab served with crab orzo and vegetables. It comes with a salad and I chose the house dressing. The salad arrived quickly. It contained Julian cheese, onion and carrots assorted greens. It was really light on tomato but it had the perfect amount of croutons in a nice size. The bread was served warm in a metal serving tray but not wrapped in cloth to keep it warm. In just a few short minutes it was already cold as the metal quickly dissipated the heat. Later on I was informed by John the manager that was standard. After a short while a couple of staff members opened the blinds and I had a terrible glare from the lights on the patio. A few minutes later, John the manager dropped my entree and lowered blind for me. Shortly thereafter Jason came by and quickly checked to see if I needed anything. I requested cracked pepper and was given such. The shrimp was wonderful even with the tails. There was a perfect amount of lump crab topping. The vegetable was broccoli and a few Julian orange peppers that really should have been in the orzo. The orzo itself was rather bland but it was cooked correctly. The broccoli was firm and fresh. The portion sizes were adequate. At the end of the meal I opted for the crème brûlée as my free dessert. It was beautifully prepared and tasted so good I had it down in minutes. Topped with a fresh strawberry cut in half in a few blueberries it was perfect. Overall I was quite pleased and will consider returning to this restaurant when I am in the area again.

    Food was so so! Service stunk for a high end resturant! Had to wait for the hostess and manager to make up their mind what they were doing! I asked for potatoes instead of rice which cost $3.00 extra, I asked for everything on the side and it was on the potato! The worst yet was the waitress asking if she could clear my plate and I wasn't even finished! So much for fine dining! I would have expected if it was Denny's! Definitely not worth the money!

    My wife and went there're for the first time. Expecting a great meal very disappointed. Went to order drinks during happy hour. But was told the specials were only available at the bar.The service was great. But the salad and the shrimp was mediocre at best. Now we now why it was empty on a Friday night. Do yourself a favor and go to No Nos in littelton better food at half the price.wont be back or recommend eating here.

    I ordered the stuffed flounder. My entree fish was yucky in both smell and taste but I will admit I was afraid to return it because I wasn't too sure what the chef would do to my food. However, The house salad was amazing! I am in the process of trying to create the dressing they use. 3 stars only because I didn't go home hungry.

    This place is strangely rated quite low, but that wasn't my wife and I's experience. We made a rez on a Friday night for a belated valentines day (like 50 days belated...) because we had been moving at the time. Came in and got seated right away at 645, rush hour. The inside was nice considering the outside looked like a movie theater out of the movie Grease, quite a surprise. Got the crawfish bread appetizer and it was bomb. We ended up playing 20 questions with our waitress because we couldn't decide on anything, she was solid making pretty good recommendations albeit the most expensive ones most times lol, but hey they probably tell her what they want recommended half the time. My wife got a glass of Riesling to go with her food which had a chunk of cork that had to be fished out, turns out it's not the just the fish that get fished here :) My Chilean Sea Bass was insanely rich with a perfect consistency, worth the price. My wife didn't like her seafood pasta, it was pretty much just seafood on the rim with a blob of angel hair in the middle. But her side of crab legs saved the day. I might give this place a 3.5 ish for quality, but out server was a great gal and we had a good time. Didn't regret the $106 out the door.

    Meh. It's not bad, it's not that good. It's just OK. If you're looking for chain sea food that's do-able, then this is your place. That being said, for the quality of sea food you get, it's a bit pricey. I will say that their Thursday all-you-can-eat King Crab is a pretty awesome deal at $60 per person. Eat a couple pounds and you've done your job. The decor is pretty nice inside. Clean, open. But whoever thought the patio next to I-25 was a good idea is out of their mind. I can't imagine sitting out there and trying to enjoy your meal.

    A Louisiana native here to give a no BS review of this southern icon. I grew up near the original restaurant and though this is long way from home I believe if you're going to be a large chain restaurant and you're going to expand way out to colorado you'd better be carrying a huge anchor. This place fell pretty short. We started off with cocktails. Eventually. We originally ordered a gin fizz and a mule. After a 15 minute wait with no one in the restaurant we were told that ginger beer was no where to be found. "OK we'll look over the drink menu again". Another 10 minutes go by after we made a second choice and they didn't have mixers to make those either. So we discussed with the bartender to make a concoction based on what they did have. This didn't really bother us however we were charged for the "signature" drinks we did order. I'm no bar manager but to me I feel like we should have been given some kind of discount considering the time that went by and the confusion in getting something to drink. On to the food. I ordered gumbo (perfection) the absolute reason I still come here. I would give it a 5 star rating as Landrys has never changed their dark, rich roux recipe that keeps this land locked cajun satiated. Crab, oyster, and shrimp the way it should be sampled. My fiancé ordered, from the gluten free menu, a roasted chicken salad that came out with a large amount of bread shoved in the salad? Go figure. Anyhow we later additionally ordered crawfish mac and cheese. Big fat letdown. The crawfish tails were smaller than the babies that rock shrimp would conceive. The large pasta shells were dry and hard like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a few hours. I ate two bites and never touched it again. Waitress never noticed or asked of it. Our utensils had dried food particles stuck to them and our drink glasses had lip, and finger marks all over them. When there's 10 total people dining and you have a slightly upscale dining room I think you have enough time to check on these things. Ultimately I will say that if you're craving a hearty gumbo then you should come here and expect to be happy. Don't expect to be wowed by the ambiance, the service, or the other food items. There are plenty other seafood houses around Denver offering up dishes at or near the prices this mega chain offers. Also! And I hate to be picky but the manager guy was god awful awkward. He came up to our table, turned around like he was presenting a speech and asked if we were enjoying our evening. It was 1:30pm. I would have loved to tell him about our experience but I just wanted him to leave.

    Came here when staying nearby. Even though it is in middle of Colorado, the food and staff had Nawlin's charm. Good food, good service. Menu was plentiful. Had the stuffed shrimp. Would have enjoyed some fired green tomatoes but didn't see them on menu. I ordered the crawfish mac and cheese from appetizer menu...was more of a side. Was hoping for the taste of crawfish Monica which seems to be only available to purchase at Jazz and Heritage Fest in NO. No restaurant seems to use the name. But this dish was not close. Saw a HUGE portion of fish and chips if someone goes with a big appetite and likes such. Desserts looked delicious but I resisted.

    I was really disappointed with my first, and probably last visit here. We had our Valentine dinner on Feb 13th. 1st - 45 minute wait (which was fine and probably not quite 45 mins) with no buzzer and no loudspeaker so this tiny quiet young lady had to remember who was who, which she did, but it was anxiety-inducing. 2nd - the place is very nice inside, better than I expected. 3rd - I feel they went a little chintzy on our wine glass - I never have more than one glass but then I usually get a decent amount of wine in the glass. Also chintzy was the salad - mostly iceberg lettuce and raddicchio, like out of a bag, and weird cheese that also seemed cheap. 3rd - all you can eat crab! How can you screw that up?? Well, serving it without a shell cracker or shell forks is one way. It took so long to get the proper utensils I was about to go get them out of the kitchen myself and I am seriously not an impatient person. The crab, of course, was delicious, but the shells really didn't crack well because they were soft and I'll admit that I don't know if that is right or not. 4th - our waiter had no skills and talked to much. I wasn't there to get to know him. His timing was off and he didn't take a hint that we were in the middle of our conversation and not interested in interrupting it to say more to him than what was necessary and polite. 5th - Creme Brulee was DElicious but the waiter forgot spoons when he first brought it out so I literally watched him get to the table with it, turn around and go all the way back into the kitchen and it wasn't just a quick turnaround. And then he brought forks. For Creme Brulee. 6th - the bill was $155 for 2 glasses of wine, about 8 king crag legs, and one shared dessert. It almost felt like everyone working there was new. The manager who checked on us was even awkward and off on his timing. And, they ran out of crab legs before 9pm the night before Valentine's Day. We were done, so no biggie to us, but just all very amateur. I also felt sick after dinner but I didn't actually get sick so I don't know what that was about and may not be relevant. I've had much better $100 dinners. Save your money and go to Joe's Crab Shack.

    Went out last night and we were just going to head to Outback. 45 minute wait. Unfortunately we decided "Hey we haven't been to Landry's in years let's go there" Well I decided it but dang, I am an idiot. The lettuce was frozen on the salad. The honey mustard vinaigrette was meh. 18.99 for 5 mussels, 4 scallops, 4 shrimp. Wow. This place is straight out of 1992. How is it still open?

    I love this restaurant, but for some reason, my creole spouse doesn't approve of it. I've heard a lot of people have negative things to say, but I love the crab cakes here and the salmon. It's relatively upscale, with great service. I've always had a consistent experience here and enjoyed all my meals. I like to go in mid-afternoon when it's quiet and has less people. It has a full bar to enjoy as well.

    Went here for the all you can eat king crab leg dinner on Thursdays. Waitress was pretty good, but I don't remember her name. However, she didn't give me the garlic bread that came with the meal as I noticed that everyone else around me got. The crab seemed like it was over cooked and no crab flavor, tasted like metallic water. Kind of disappointed when you pay $60 for this. Better off going to the Blackhawk casinos and getting their crab legs.

    Stopped in on an uncrowded Saturday night for a meal with my family. Poor choice. While the place is clean and the service pleasant, overall things were just so slow and the food positively mediocre. They did comp a dessert when we complained, but I'm not sure how this place competes with so many other quality places to eat in the immediate area.

    Our first visit to this chain. There was nothing special about the menu (reminded me of Red Lobster). The service was inconsistent. I ordered a broiled seafood platter. It was okay except for the shrimp. Either it was overcooked OR UNDERcooked. After eating about 2/3 of the seafood, we discovered that one of the shrimp was raw inside. We brought it to the attention of the server. She mentioned something about replacing it, nothing more. What about the rest of the platter that may have been contaminated by the raw shrimp? Very disappointing.

    Service was good, it was 5PM, had the gumbo (Cajun) shrimp - not again rice, reaux, and 4 shrimp is not gumbo at any level. Avocado crab salad fair really wet. Garlic bread was good. Next time I brave the traffic and the weather for something else and it will be someplace else.

    We saw this place from the highway and decided to check it out after a long day. They do appetizers well and had a nice white wine flight, but completely fail at fish entrees. I had a champagne poached salmon special entree they had at the time and it tasted like nothing. My husband said as much about his meal as well. Not terrible as a happy hour/drink and appetizer kind of place, but I wouldn't waste my money on dinner here again.

    Have been to many Landry's nationwide. This one is unremarkable. The waitstaff is attentive but extremely slow. The food is subpar. The first visit was ok. My salmon was cold and bland. The salad was excellent but not near as wonderful as their sister restaurant "chart house" chopped salad. The next visit I tried what was listed as mahi mahi but had taste and consistency of talipia. I am not fond of talipia. All in all the cook needs practice.

    The food here is pretty good, albeit a bit pricey. Of all the appetizers, I'd have to say the stuffed shrimp enbrochette is the best. However, the crab, spinach, and artichoke dip is pretty good, too. I've had three entrees here: Landry's fettuccine with shrimp, the broiled seafood platter, and the live Maine lobster. All were very delicious, but I'll probably never order the live Maine lobster as it was quite unnerving to eat something that is still has a head and eyes attached. I do have to say that they have the best veggie risotto and it is a great accompaniment to the broiled seafood platter. This is the only restaurant that I actually look forward to the house salad with house dressing. The salad is included with your entree. It's full of sweet and tangy deliciousness. You get a good portion of croutons mixed in. Also, make sure you request the complimentary garlic bread or you won't get any. It's served upon request only. The bread is full of buttery, garlicky goodness and goes well with the salad. I've had the bananas foster for dessert. It's tasty, but it's best if you share this with another person as the serving size is generous. For cocktails, I usually get a girly foofoo drink. They're around $8 a drink and really tasty. The service is a mixed bag. Sometimes you get a nice server, but I've mainly had the ones that rush you, ignore you, or act a little pretentious. I'm really good at giving dirty looks, so the grouchy servers tend to change their tune after a couple of quick glances.

    Ok so here's my position. Yes we live in Denver, but that shouldn't mean that I have to like mediocre seafood. Second, TILAPIA IS NOT SEAFOOD, its a hybridized farm raised cichlid, i.e. its an ugly cheap fresh water omnivorous garbage eater. Toss one in the SEA and it will die. The prices don't justify the quality of the meal. My oysters were watery and mushy, the Seafood Gumbo was way way too salty and the tasty bits way too spares, nothing like any gumbo I ever got in Louisiana. My wife's Crawfish Etouffee was totally uninspired. Our waiter was enthusiastic when pitching the club or recommending only the most expensive appetizers and entrees, but the service was slow. The message, sell up. Yes there aren't as many seafood places in Denver as I would find in Boston, NYC, Seattle, any coastal town, but that's no excuse for poor food, especially at these prices.

    We went to Landry's for the first time the other night and were very disappointed, especially for the price. We were hoping to do the all you can eat crab meal, but were shocked that it was $55 per person. The rest of the food was also overpriced. The food was very similar in quality to Red Lobster, overly greasy, overly breaded. I would not subject anyone to such expensive awful food. Much more worth it to give your money to some of the other great seafood restaurants in the Denver area.

    Visit: May 2014 The Good. It's a cute building in a location convenient to Denver and the Tech Center, along with multiple hotels. The Bad. Eating at Landry's reminded me of my grandmother's cooking. She'd pick interesting and sometimes complex recipes from her 1970's Betty Crocker cookbook, spend a lot of money on the ingredients, yet the finished product would end up flavorless and heavy. It also reminded me of a nauseating Shoney's we stopped at during a road trip last year. Nobody had an empty plate at the end of our dinner and no boxes were taken home. The garlic bread looked and tasted like something that had been frozen and warmed in a microwave before arriving at our table as did all of the other appetizers. Sitting miserably staring at an unappetizing plate before me I imagined their kitchen was full of 80's style tv-meals waiting to be heated. It was awful. I spent a lot of time sitting and waiting for the meal to be over. During that time I also looked around the expansive restaurant and wondered why people at other tables were shoveling food into their mouths. I liked our waiter. He was good with everyone although it surprised me to hear him say the word "screw" at our table and then another nearby table. After forgetting a drink or dish he said, "Sorry I didn't mean to screw you out of your cup.." and then to the other other table, "We don't want to screw you over." Around that time I noticed a patron wearing a fur coat while she was eating. It was then I realized I was in a Twilight Zone time warp. If you don't know what that means use your Netflix. Conclusion. If you're forced to dine here then order pure seafood like the $50 to $60 crab legs. If you don't want overpriced crab legs, order a salad and then pick up a pizza on your way home.

    There is nothing wrong with Landry's....there is nothing really right with it either. It serves overpriced corporate approved seafood. By corporate I mean that I envision each dish needing to be approved by a board of directors. This etouffee is too spicy, says one old man in a suit....do it again! This process is then repeated over and over until any potentially offending or amazing flavor is removed from the dish rendering it "just fine". If it's unoffensive seafood you are looking for then you've found the place.

    Stay awayThe food is awful, and service is beyond bad and on top of that it's expensive. It wasn't crowded and we waited for ever for over fired dry food, and a seafood pasta overpowered by bitterness and rosemary. Scary seafood.

    This is one of the filthiest restaurants that I have ever eaten in. Our table was sticky and there was some sort of gummy substance on it. Our food arrived (cold by the way). I glanced up, and the vent right above my head and food was covered with thick mold. I have posted photos. This has to be some sort of health code violation. I didn't finish my food because I was so disgusted.

    Not impressed. I went to Landry's for a friend's birthday dinner. To start, I ordered a caesar salad, which was nothing special. The fried shrimp I ordered for dinner ran about $17 and included 8 small shrimps with french fries. I could've found better shrimp out of the grocer's freezer. And french fries? When I'm paying $17 for an entree, I expect a decent side item. French fries cheapen a meal, in my opinion. Service was okay. I will not return.

    Headline: If you are hankering for seafood, go to Pappadeux Our kitchen is getting renovated right now, so we are on a local eating out binge. We decided on Landry's on a whim, after driving up from Parker towards the DTC avoiding the highway. To be honest, we should have kept on going. First off, this is fairly standard bland decor. Nothing special here. The place is cold, the bar stark - really, it wasn't inviting. After being told (politely) that the bar area is not open seating (really? There is no-one in here, and you want to choose our booth for us?), the hostess brought over three menus - the regular menu, the bar menu and the specials menu. Our first stop was the bar menu - for $3, $4 or $5, you can get an appetizer. Sounds great - actually, the appetizers are pretty big - we ordered the buffalo chicken sliders. (We'll get to service later, but it was a major pain). When the sliders did finally come, there were three of them - each one was a small bun, with two chicken mcnuggets on them covered in a generic buffalo sauce, and a couple of onion strings on top. Then there was a handful of french fries. I could have had this as my meal. The onion strings (which seem to come with everything) were greasy and sweet. The appetizer was taking so long, the wait finally brought out some garlic bread. This was actually the highlight of the meal. It was a warm french loaf, split and slathered in garlic butter. Actually very tasty. Salad course - the main courses come with a salad. We both opted for a house salad, which seems to have been pre-chopped and coming out of a bag. It is dressed with a honey balsamic vinaigrette tableside. The dressing was nice, but the salad strictly third-rate. If you want a salad, go elsewhere. Now for the "highlight" - our main courses. I ordered the catfish plate, although it should really have been called the fries and onion strings plate. There was a mound of both, with three small filets of catfish on top. The catfish was actually good - covered in a cornmeal crust and fried. It went rather well with the malt vinegar and tartar sauce I like with my fish. My wife ordered the parmesan crusted talapia - two filets that looked like they had been fried, with a scoop of "risotto" on the side and a scoop of crab-meat on top. The risotto was overcooked, and my wife thought the fish was wretched. Service was a major complaint here. The only time that we saw the waiter when we wanted him around was when he was delivering the check. Other than that - the appetizer could have been cooked three times over in the 30 minutes it took to bring it. Apologizing gets old after a while, but at least it is appreciated. Sadly, not even that happened. I'm disappointed. I remember this place being better. Now, it's just an expensive version of Joe's or Red Lobster. Sadly, I will not be back.

    Not worthy. Expensive, and just not worth the price. The quality of the seafood is lacking. The service is not great. I didn't like the type of ambiance either. We aren't at the beach, or a boardwalk, don't try to pretend we are. It just felt as though Landry's is trying so hard to be something they never will.

    As I walk in, and not even at the door, an old fish smell hits me, not good. Would have left at that if not meeting old friends. The place looks cheap inside. The food was decent, though you could definitely tell it was either canned (crab cakes) or frozen (mahimahi). Was given garlic bread without asking for any, and it tasted greasy. They definitely use too much margarine. The house salad was too big for the table. The Cobb salad looked like it was stuck in the 70's, but it tasted ok. The dressings are definitely made in house, so a big positive there. The banana foster tasted really good, but again, the plating was outdated, this time like the early 80's. The service was good, attentive and thorough. I will not go back due to the lack of fresh seafood, the lack of value, and the atmosphere. I will head to Pappadeux first.

    First time at the Denver Landry's and it has left me wanting. We decided to go with friends and family for my birthday and I have to say the service was bad and the food was below average. We waited 30 minutes for a table when the dinning room was only half full. The all you can eat Kind Crab would have been great if: our waiter would have made himself available, they would have given us crab claw utensils and butter. Oh and when they bring you a refill they only bring you one and two claws for over $60. Not worth it. I do love Landry's in Galveston, TX the service is a cut above the rest.

    Call me crazy but I decided to try seafood in landlocked Denver. I found landry's food barely average, waitresses were slow, and they tried to sell their club package too much. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless you are really Jonesing seafood....

    Landry's Seafood House was purchased by Tilman Fertilla in 1986, and since then Landry's Seafood Restaurants, Inc. has grown to 150 restaurants in 26 states. It's a casual seafood chain that has received accolades both as a "hot concept" in hospitality and as a well run, growing company. Their goal is to provide great seafood and service in a "light, lively, and casual atmosphere". You can't miss the restaurant entrance, with its movie theatre style marquee looming over it. Although there was nothing really wrong with the atmosphere, I wasn't particularly impressed with it. It was certainly casual, and it was comfortable enough. I just thought it lacked a little pizzazz. I'm not saying that it should be the flying circus that Joe's Crab Shack (another Landry's chain) is, it just was a bit plain in the decor. I didn't think it was very cozy either. The wine list was not extensive and was moderately priced. The highest priced selection was a Wente Chardonnay for $8.95. I ordered a Berringer White Zinfandel, which was very nice. The house salad was nothing special, which really disappointed me because one of my favorite things to have with seafood is a salad. I got a real pleasant surprise when I tried the crab stuffed mushrooms. They were excellent. I've tried these at a number of places and these were among the best I've ever tasted. They also were free, because the hotel I was staying at had given me a coupon for a complimentary appetizer. I trust I didn't let that affect my judgment on how they tasted, though. They were delightful. More than once I've had seafood stuffed 'shrooms that were long on cheese and short on seafood, and the stuffing frequently separated from a rubbery mushroom cap. Not so here!! This is an appetizer you don't want to miss. The menu has a very nice variety. There are fifteen appetizers, both hot and cold, mostly seafood of course. Gumbo and chowder is offered along with several oyster menu items and eight gulf shrimp selections. Salads, sandwiches, and pasta are featured as well. There are also several seafood platters and several shellfish and fresh fish selections. But lest you think there are no alternatives to seafood, they also offer eight selections of beef, pork, and chicken. And if you're in the mood for surf 'n turf, steak and lobster is regular fare with all the trimmings at $27.99. It takes some doing to decide what to order with a menu that has so many offerings that are so appealing. I ordered the Crab Feast which was sold at the market price of $31.95. It was a feast indeed: Alaskan king crab legs, stuffed crab, a jumbo lump crab cake, jumbo lump crab scampi, fried crab fingers, and crabmeat au gratin. You can't beat that for variety if you are a crab lover! The Crab Feast was very good for the most part. I found the portions were generous, and the food was generally well prepared. I thought the crab legs were a bit overcooked, and perhaps the stuffed crab was perfectly done but it just wasn't my thing. The rest of the items were a real treat. I especially enjoyed the crabmeat au gratin. The service I received was excellent throughout my meal, and I have to say I was nearly astonished at how quickly I was served. It didn't matter what I was ordering, it was brought to my table at lightning speed. The wait staff is also trained to know how everything is prepared and what it tastes like, so if you have any questions about the menu items they'll give you good answers and advise. You won't be able to fault these folks for fast and attentive service of their customers. In many ways Landry's is a great place to eat if you are a seafood lover. The prices are not outrageous, the selections are plentiful, the portions are generous, the service was fantastic, and overall I thought the food was delicious. Having said all that, I was still a little disappointed. Maybe it was the overcooked crab legs or maybe it was the blasé salad- I'm not really sure. But whatever it was it won't stop me from returning there, and I would still recommend Landry's to any road executive who's in the mood for seafood. And try the stuffed mushrooms! Note: This review is a few years old!!!!

    The King Crab is well prepared and the all you can eat on Thursday nights is a great value. (Kids eat free night is Sunday too.) Janae is our favorite waitress; she is sometimes in the bar area but is also assigned to large parties because she's awesome. She is attentive and fun with a great knowledge of the menu. The shrimp taquitos are yummy appetizers, as are the bacon wrapped shrimp. We've never been disappointed with the crab, lobster, or steak and the desserts are worth trying! Highly recommend the Bananas Foster and Chocolate Cake.

    Stay away! Stay away I should have know when the parking lot was half empty on a Friday night that something was wrong! This place should be on the next episode of Ramsey's Kitchen nightmares! Actually I take that back Gordon don't waste your time, let this place continue its downward spiral of despair. I will give one compliment to our waitress, I'm sorry I cannot remember her name. But every other aspect of the place is horrible, the kitchen is horrendous, slow and didn't get any orders correct! The Manager was a complete joke, unprofessional and as unconcerned as possible. She had numerous tables in different states of dissatisfaction and she could have cared less. My opinion the only reason this place still exists is do to overflow patrons from other restaurants and the numerous hotels near by which unsuspecting travers get pulled into, which leaves them unsatisfied and lighter in the wallet.

    There are seafood restaurants that give people a reason to hate fish and this is one of them. Landry's does for seafood what Olive Garden does for pasta...they take the opposite approach to making great food. Just like Olive Garden's inexplicable way of ruining simple fresh Italian food by overcooking un-fresh items...Landry's ruins seafood by doing the same exact thing. The best seafood restaurants in the world know the one simple rule they live by everyday...get the freshest fish and serve it simply. The chefs here somehow think frozen and overly fried equates to a great seafood restaurant. It doesn't. I went here the other night to meet a group of people and was truly horrified. I ordered a simple blackened shrimp salad. The shrimp was stale, old, previously frozen and tasteless. The salad was wilted and had a distinct brown color. The dressing to top it off had a spoiled and rancid aftertaste. The thing that surprised me the most was the lack of bread served to the table. But, then I noticed two toast points on my plate, which at first, I was pleasantly surprised with...until I took a bite. The butter and seasoning on the toast was completely gross and way over seasoned. Yes folks, they actually screwed up toast. Not in the the slight small way you might expect, but in an epic "you won't believe how bad this toast is" kind of way. Props to making toast awful...truly a culinary achievement of biblical proportions. A big thumbs down...or scales down in this case.

    In Denver for work and coworkers wanted to stop here for dinner. Worst mahi mahi we have ever had. I honestly believe it was some other type of less expensive fish they tried to pass off for mahi mahi. We each took a bite or two and left the rest on our plates. Vegetables we also very disappointing. The only saving grace was the server was very nice and noticed we didn't eat our dinners. She got the manager and they took the mahi mahi off the check even though we didn't ask for that and we even offered to pay.

    So, the place was not busy...not a great first sign. Food took a while so my expectations dropped to about a 1star rating, but the food was better than expected so they get 2stars, but the higher price was not worth admission. Im headed to papadeaux next time i grab some shell.

    Just nothing special about the place. Feels like a tired theme with average over priced food. Honestly, I'm usually not very hard on places, but this place just didn't work for me or my family. Not to mention that the server didn't even know how to describe the differences between the types of fish.

    wish I had read some of these reviews a few weeks ago. We went on a Tuesday night because I really wanted the 'all you can eat crab legs'. Which BTW were $54 - so they jack up the price from the regular crab legs menu, their sign outside is somewhat misleading. They weren't fantastic, very bland, you could tell they weren't boiled in salt water. It was a pain to keep them coming, they kept bringing 2 at a time, and primarily claws, I had to tell them to stop it with the claws and know I won't stop at 2 - keep 'em coming. Tried to eat my money's worth, don't think I ever did. My parents' steaks were tough. I agree on the fish smell of a previous post. Would not eat there again - Red Lobster is better.

    I know that I live in Denver, a landlocked state. When it comes to seafood restaurants I understand that nothing is going to taste "just off the boat" fresh. My husband loves seafood and we wanted to go out with his parents during their visit and I didn't exactly want to go downtown. So, we decided on Landry's. I have been to their original location in Texas but it has been so long I don't remember it. Our meal was 50% delicious, what my husband and I had we really enjoyed. My mother-in-law and her husband didn't really like theirs. My husband had the Seafood Grill platter. It was kabobs of vegetables and vegetables with roasted potatoes, tilapia, shrimp and rice pilaf. He really enjoyed his. Everything was grilled and not fried, which is always a plus. The vegetable were cooked perfectly, they still had a bit of a bite to them. I ordered the Shrimp Fresca. It is Parmesan crusted shrimp topped with lump crab meat in some sort of white butter sauce. It also came with broccoli and angel hair pasta with a tomato olive oil sauce. I loved everything I had. I like crab but hate the hassle of cracking legs and claws for a tiny morsel of meat. This was the perfect combination. The shrimp were moist and tasty and each bite was paired with a succulent bit of crab. My mother-in-law and her husband didn't LOVE what they had, it was just alright. They ordered two fried entrees/platters and said that they didn't have much flavor. Our server was great, he ran back and forth to the kitchen answering the in-laws numerous questions and never seemed annoyed. He was very personable and had great recommendations. A nice evening out.

    Normally I hate franchise places, but I have now eaten at two Landry's and decided I should review them. I was here on business ( as always ) and needed some dinner. The service was great, top notch its certainly a top notch place for service. The cleanliness was however not the best, my dishes were clean but the floor and table were haphazardly cleaned. Overall it had a musty smell to it (maybe due to the lobster tanks and sea food, the smell however was not that pleasant). My food was good, certainly not the best seafood, but not the worst either. The price was a bit high, but I think if it had been cleaner I would not have thought that.

    In a nutshell, this place tries but doesn't provide the value for its premium pricing. We also weren't quite sure where they were going with the odd decor and atmosphere. For some of you who have lived in CO longer, you'll remember that this is the old H. Brinker's restaurant (and the Flying Dutchman before that) and it is huge. Maybe a little too huge? We were in on a Friday night around 7pm, and the place was no where near even half full. By 8:45, entire sections were being closed and we saw waiters leaving. Maybe they make up for it during the holidays and with special events with their big banquet facilities? The wait staff was courteous and responsive and the service was pretty top notch. The food was good with most complements going to the crab stuffed mushroom appetizer. The crab legs were ok, possibly a little over steamed. My friends shared lobster tails & Seabass which they indicated were "ok". Good thing we had a $75 gift certificate to help us. The pricing is a little more to the "premium" end and they have decent happy hour drink pricing if that is your thing. The wine selection is average. Comparably, you can spend $5 - $10 more per person and get much, much better quality food at Jax fish house downtown or even McCormick's & Schmick's in the DTC. Maybe the Landry's exec's need to spend some more time observing similar concepts to their Landry's brand instead of trying to juggle all 30 of their other restaurant brands? Go to their website and you'll see the confusion that I'm talking about. That being said, it's no wonder most reviews I've read seem to stick to one theme - good service but mediocre food and atmosphere. Oh, and what's with the cheesy looking sports mural that covers the walls in the lounge?

    If you want seafood in Denver don't waste your time here. Coming from a small country town where there are NO seafood places, Landry's was a fancy seafood place to eat when we ventured to the "big city." However, I know live in Denver and have my pick of restaurants, many of which feature seafood. Landry's doesn't even make the long list. The padded tablecloths are annoying. The fact that on the weekends they don't have a lunch menu and you have to pick from the dinner menu at 11:00 on a Sunday--yup, that's annoying too. Our server was nice. That's a plus. I had the red fish, which I'd never had before. The server told me it was broiled, however it came out looking much more breaded and pan fried. The veggies were mushy and must have been frozen at some point. Plus for the salad, which I did enjoy and came with our entrees at no extra cost. There was no bread delivered to the table unless you request it. Strange. Overall, I thought it was overpriced, not well flavored, and slightly annoying.

    We had the grilled shrimp with rice pilaf and broccoli. The menus says vegetables (with an s), but you get broccoli. First of all, the grilled shrimp promises to be jumbo. Well, it might look jumbo against the small shrimp, but seriously, that is hardly jumbo, more like regular. The plate is so large, it makes your entree look small. Second, being from New Orleans, we know what a jumbo shrimp looks like and TASTES like. The shrimp which in Colo. gets frozen for a while ends up being tough, and really doesn't have much of a shrimp seafood taste. The dessert, cinnamon bread pudding ala camode was delicious!

    Great seafood place! I love the lobster tails and the dinner dishes are the perfect size to split with someone. We usually get the shrimp stingers and the lobster tail dinner with a drink or two. It has a little bit of a chain restaurant factor especially since the drink strength is weak and probably monitored to squeeze an extra dollar out of the guest. This factor is only reason I can't give it 5 stars.

    I could not have been more disappointed - what a TERRIBLE meal with so-so service by the waiter and poor service by the manager. It was especially pitiful that we told the manager and she simply defended her restaurant rather than honestly considering the feedback or even offering to do something to make it right. I ate only a few bites of my meal - the fish tasted old, rubbery, and bland and the risotto stuff was disgusting. We will never go back - there are too many other great places all over Denver. I wrote the parent company's district office but never heard back from them. They should cut their losses and close this place - it's become the standard for an awful meal in our house. Anytime we have a meal that is just so-so or even bad, we say "well, at least it's not Landry's!"

    I am so impressed with the rich yet inviting decor and the new menu items topped with a real clear emphasis on service. This is no longer just a potential for a special event but a destination for food exploration, great time with friends or family alike and I can't wait to book an event in those private rooms! This new lunch menu means I will be back again and again for client and group meetings. I am telling everybody how nice Landry's is!

    Liked/Didn't Like: Liked the location. It's easy to get to. It was nice that the salad came with the meal. The crab cakes were pretty good but they were slathered in an overpowering creamy sauce. The risotto was bland and sticky. The lobster tails were good but didn't have enough flavor. You have to ask for the free garlic bread, and we weren't too impressed with it. Too crunchy. My baked potato was good, but how hard is it to get a baked potato right? We don't recommend Landry's. So many other great places to go! It's a shame we wasted a good night out at this mediocre establishment. We won't make the same mistake twice.

    Worst dinning experience my family has ever had to endure. The wait staff was short (bordering on rude) and inattentive took 30 minutes to return drink orders an additional hour to see our food. We had to flag down another waiter to ask him to bring missing our order items. Total we spent three hours of our evening dealing with poor service and mediocre food. Spoke to manager after the meal while he apologized for the poor service and seemed glad hear our constructive criticisms but took no action to resolve the poor experience. Do not waste your time or money at his establishment.

    We were in need of a seafood fix, and after visiting this place we still are. I know we live in Colorado and the nearest ocean is quite far away, but wow.....this wasn't good. The service was very good, and that's the reason for the second star on my review. The fish sure didn't seem "fresh", and the vegetables on the plate were very soggy. I'm assuming they were crying from being on the same plate as the fish.

    Heard great things about this restuarant which is part of a national chain. The restaurant corporation also owns the Chart House, Willie G's Seafood and Steak House and the Aquarium restaurants. According to a good freind that used to work at a Landry's in Florida, the Grouper is the sh*@ but the one in Golden didn't offer grouper. I understand that there is no ocean nearby but that is just one of the few disadvantages of living in Colorado.

    The king crab was really good, the server was really friendly. Beyond that, it's a "casual" restaurant with "upscale" pricing. There's a reason prices are not listed on their online menu, and generally, that's a major "flag" for me. (though, actually, the menu online didn't match the menu in the restaurant, anyway) Prices are a good $5-20 higher than I feel they should be for many of the dishes, given the market they appear to be catering to. Expect to be upsold on appetizers and dessert, like at every other Landry's chain. I enjoyed the dinner, but I won't be rushing back. I can get similar quality at Red Lobster for less (and I already thought they were expensive!)

    Being from the East coast, I will treat any seafood place in Colorado with suspect. I figure that things uncommon to waters near DC are just as likely to be frozen and shipped as they are in Denver, but tuna, shark, etc, might be fresh. King crab legs are almost always processed in Alaska, as I understand it, and Landry's has an All-You-Can-Eat special for $48 on tuesdays and thursdays. I've had it twice and enjoyed it. The special comes with a backed potato and salad. The crab does get a little boring after the second pound, so I'd recommend asking for a couple different sauces to add interesting flavors. The only local fish on the menu, says the server, is the trout, which we ultimately never ordered. My wife got a seafood platter her first visit, and for $25, I was not impressed with it. Most looked sauteed or baked, so it was not the typical 1970's deep fried fare. It looked more like a slurry of seafood things, with no individual flavors, particularly good cookery, or reason to order it again. Plus, being such a large plate or food, much was cold by the time she got to it because of the largeness of the serving platter which was impressive, at first. The hosts and waiters were competent and very friendly both times I was there. My only real complaint is the padded table pads which make all drinks wobble to the point that made me concerned about a tip-over. Three stars are for the atmosphere and human element. The crab special will wait a long time for me to order, as I am now done with crab for many, many, many months. Since the cooked seafood platter was the only other example of their food, we will probably wait until we are near the sea to order seafood again. Sorry charlie.
