Been coming here every Sunday morning for 13 years with my Dad who comes twice a day! They take the time to get to know you and remember you! This place is home.

We love Newberry's! My kids call it "Blueberrys". All the food is housemade, the mexican is great, the greek is good, the American classics like fried chicken and pot roast are awesome. The kids meals are some of the best in town. The service feels like family, maybe because we are in there so often. I don't eat gluten, and there are choices for me. I had the greek omelette last night and it was incredible. Thanks Newberry's!

I'm not going to tell you that this is the best food you're ever going to eat but for a diner and for the cost of the food it is pretty darn good. Most everything seems to be homemade from their salad dressings to the soups. I've had several different things here and all of them of them have hit the spot. If you get there special it comes with salad, vegetable, a tater and a desert. All for about eight or nine dollars. They made me a fan of rice pudding!! They have a huge menu and although I have not tried any of the Mexican food it looks solid. My only complaint would be that a couple times the lettuce has been a little on the wilted side. Other than that, friendly staff, quick service, good prices and good food. What else can you ask for in a diner?

I wanted so much to like this place, oh well. They have a sausage and green chile omelet for under $8 listed in the menu. I asked if i could have it with bacon, no cheese, no toast. The waitress asked if i wanted potatoes, I said yes, potatoes are the best part. The waitress delivered the plate, dropped the bill on the table and i never saw here again. The potatoes where under cooked, i hate that. The green chile had way too much cumin. I eat the eggs and some of the green chile, but left the potatoes. Then i looked at the bill, $11.77. So a $3.00 premium for asking for bacon in place of the sausage. Pretty steep. Would have been nice if the waitress had mentioned an up charge for the crime of asking for a substitution. I went to pay and the cashier, she asked if everything was good, i said passable, but not good. She did not respond, just took my money. Why ask if you do not want an answer? Overall verdict: food passable, services sucks.

Great breakfast choices here!! Definitely try the pancakes and the waffles! Sit at the counter if you want fast service!

Good breakfast spot. You can ask for cheddar cheese instead of the default American in any omelet for a better experience.

This place couldn't be better in my book. Great atmosphere, food is consistently good and reasonably priced. I don't care much for the chain restaurants as I have said before. This place is the epitome of what I look for in a restaurant. It may sound cliche but I support the local family owned place. Let's put the chains out with boycott and allow the family owned businesses to flourish more. There is my ten cents.

Wow what a great and cheap place! I rarely see a five star old school diners around town and here is one of those. The atmosphere had an outdated diner feel, but it is very clean. The staff was super friendly and nice. The waitress was great and she kept us very hydrated. The menu have a great selection of variety of Mexican and American food and they all pricing averaging 10 bucks or below. The pricing was not bad at all! What I ordered was the Chicken Fried Steak breakfast style. It was super delicious, the streak was crunchy, juicy, and soft at the same time. The eggs and gravy was perfectly cooked. The hash brown was crispy and cooked just right. I will come back for this again. My girlfriend had the pork chops and eggs. Wow it was super delicious. The pork chop was so tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. I haven't had a pork chop tasted this good in a very long time. It was a huge win! The two items we had ordered so far was a big win. I was a very happy camper going home. I will definitely come back to try other stuff on the menu. A+ experience!

I'll be back & bringing the husband next time. it's nice to go eat somewhere where there is love in the food

I have been driving by this place and hearing about it for years but just never made it in until yesterday. My wife got the chicken fried chicken and I opted for the fried chicken dinner...just seemed like a fried chicken kinda place. That, and a regular that we went there with raved about the fried chicken. Had a Bud Light as an appetizer..because I could and it was 1.99 with a meal, so why not? Unfortunately, that was the best part of the meal. The chicken was SO incredibly overdone and dried out that the breast literally had no edible meat. The BREAST had no edible meat. It was seriously that dried out. It was inedible and I'm not one to ever turn down fried chicken. If I had time for a remake I would have complained, but I did not. The meal came with dessert, which I normally don't eat but the vanilla pudding was nice, if not a little bland. A diner is a diner is a diner but this was such a poor experience that I will have to go back once more to see if it was a fluke because there is no WAY my experience can be normal, as long as they have been in business.

My parents love this place. They drove from Parker and insisted that I meet them there. This place is Classic. Like a hole in the wall bar/Diner from the 80's. They have beer and bloody Mary's, old school soda fountain and milk dispenser, and big white globes for lights. Service was stellar. Food was OK. I will go back if I am in the area. What to get? My parents were mumbling something about an Omelet.. It use to be called the ___ and now it called ___.. Anyway.. I tend to sing in my head when they talk.. I had the Greek skillet. It was good. It wasn't like the Greek food from a Greek place, it was like a Greek skillet from Mexican restaurant. Probably will skip that one next time and listen to my parents.

i got the reuben sandwich and it was awesome, however there was a group of employees just standing around and 1 older lady waiting all the tables we waiting 15 minutes before even being acknowleged, then as we were eating our lunch they decide to mop the floor, found this to be rude. i seriously doubt we'll be back

It's a family diner... Good food and great service. There's nothing special about the look but food and service was great. Could use a remodel.

OMG FUCK I LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH. I've been here a MILLION times but I always forget to check in....probably because of how much I LOVE THIS PLACE. Not only are they super nice, their food is amazing!!!!! I always get the basic breakfast because they cook their eggs perfectly, you get to choose between a bagel or toast, AND their potatoes are to die for!! Their potatoes are what keep me coming back!! Hahah. AND all of this for just $4.35. Sigh I'm so happy just thinking about this place :'). I've eaten dinner here too, and have gotten the veggie skillet andd probably some other stuff I can't remember. My friend lovess the huevos rancheros here and my other friend says their french toast is pretty good (he's a harsh critic). I've never had a bad experience here. They also sell alcohol!! I've never gotten it cause I don't need it when I come here!! Hahah. Biggest fan over here. Too bad I've moved out of Denver T_______T.

Let me start by saying that I practically grew up in this restaurant, so if you're not interested in a slightly biased (but still honest) review, move on. That said, I love this restaurant. It has a sentimental nostalgia for me personally, but it also harkens back to a time when exposed stone and big bulbous lights over the bar were hip, they even use an old-fashioned cash register. Although it's somewhat different from my early memories of it, all the improvements have really helped it stay a place to keep going back to. And while the fabric on the booths and the paint colors have changed, the people and food haven't. The staff are always welcoming seasoned veterans, the food is always fresh and tasty and the price and portions are always perfect. I have a few favorites from the breakfast menu, which is available anytime; the rellenos and eggs, the pancakes or french toast, and the rebel breakfast which is biscuits and gravy. And I always enjoy the lunch menu having several favorites including the BLT, the gyro and the club (I get mine without ham and it's always prepared as such) the chef salad is also good, but unless you want a punch bowl of a salad you'll be eating for a week, get the mini. Another one of my favorites is the cream of potato soup, so good! And if you're getting dessert, definitely go for the rice pudding, it's the best! I almost always order from the breakfast or lunch menus, not because the dinner or mexican menus aren't good, but the dinner menu usually comes with several sides and soon becomes too much food, and I am always deeply satisfied with the rellenos and eggs to falter. :) Trust me, if you go to Newbarry's and leave hungry, you'll have only yourself to blame. And FYI, the people who own Newbarry's are the same people who own the Sam's restaurants (like the one downtown that was on "Diner's Drive-in's and Dives").

I used to really like this place, until I tried the Greek Skillet. Now, I LOVE this place!! Not only is this place very reasonably priced, it's clean with a friendly staff, and the food is always consistently good. The portions are just right. The potatoes and onions are always cooked to perfection. I've never been disappointed with anything I've ordered from this place. Recently, I tried their Greek skillet. Oh-my-gosh it was so good! Little pieces of lamb, feta cheese, caramelized onions, tomato and eggs just the way I like it! Next time, my husband is getting this, too. Also, if you want, they will make you a screw driver or a bloody mary to have with your meal for $2.95. I have a new favorite place!

Newbarrys was a pleasant surprise in the diner category; the place is clean, the booths are huge, and the atmosphere is nice. The food (I had the chorizo skillet), was delicious and ready really quickly. Good toast. The coffee was delicious. And the service was friendly. A great place to go for breakfast!

I had a country Benedict there today for a late breakfast. It's not much to judge by, but it was good enough, and reasonably priced. Will have to visit again and re-review...

If you are a bingo player in Denver, you already know about this gem off the beaten path. You probably aren't reading this if you are. Nor are you likely reading this if you are a square dancer or bowler either, but would make you more likely to have per chanced the from-scratch greatness of this unchanged classic. They have every item you'd hope for on a standard cafe menu, with a few surprises. Everything I've tried was FAST (freakishly fast for as busy as it gets on a Sunday during the big post-church crunch, which is, inevitably, my moment to enjoy.) hot, and flawlessly executed. The staff is solid, seasoned veterans, likely family, or "restaurant family" (One big, happy, dysfunctional family). I was helped at all the right moments, refilled on point, and my favorite of all things in a diner? A sugar canister instead of packets for my coffee backer on sugar and creamer. This truly makes me happy in a single serving world.. The freedom to use as much of that jar with a spigot as I care, with none of the embarrassment of 10,000,000 empty fingers pointing to how sweet my porcelain crock of joy really is. Now if they still had the all-you-can-pour creamer caddy, with the clanking steel lid on top, I'd be in Mary & Lou's-laced nostalgic heaven..
