Yay for frozen yogurt! Who doesn't love a delightful, cool treat at the end of a hot June day? Menchie's sure hits the spot when your in need of something sweet but too heavy. With a wide array of yogurt options, like pistachio, plain tart, and even caramel coconut cookie crunch - it can be difficult to narrow in on just one flavor. That's why the huge cups they provide are awesome and essential for mixing the flavors up. Whether you like your toppings clean and simple or busy and colorful, like confetti - the options are there. I do wish, however, they had more fruit and nut options rather than just candy and cereal. Nevertheless, the topping variety is vast and probably more suited for children, not adults having a hard time growing up, such as yours truly. The prices are fair, and the space is clean. Sure, parking can be tough in that neck of the woods, but that just gives you more of a reason to walk, bike, or run there to really deserve a tasty, cold treat!

Even though this is a popular place on 32nd it was well taken care of - nice layout and friendly kids working. I love the tart but it was "freezing" so I had to wait but well worth the wait! Yummy!

It's good. Low carb selection. Lots of toppings. Premium yogurt? Probably not but it sure pass my taste bud. Very convenient location. Pretty penny to buy here it's at $0.51 + tax per ounce.

It does the trick when you have that fro yo hankering - but sometimes the highschool kids who work there are a real pain in the you know what. Also it's really pricey for what you get. Id rather treat myself at Sweet Cow - BEST staff ever.

Spent around 10$ on my cup of yogurt and my friend got one as well. I must say the flavors were awful, a lot tasted like toothpaste would. Toppings were old, staff was unfriendly. Just feel sick after a few bits !!! threw it out our window... What a waste of money.

Yummmmyyyyy! Delicious here. Love all the flavor options as well as the toppings. Oh the toppings... Fresh fruit, cereal and tons of other delicious goodies to place on or in your ice cream! Come here and give it a shot!

Don't know why this place has such an overall good rating. I am pretty pissed that I wasted my money and my calories at this place when you can get amazing ice cream at many of the original, local shops in the area. First, the staff made us feel uncomfortable by using their workplace as a place to snack and hang out with their friends. Many of the topping dishes were empty and it would have been a better use of their time filling them for paying customers. Second, not only were the toppings low but some of the ice cream machines were either empty or not working well. What a disappointment to go to a Menchie's and you can't get the flavors or toppings you want. Third, what a rip off. Way too expensive.

Holy babies batman! Is highlands the next stapleton? I'm so confused. We stopped in here one night because I love yogurtland but this place is way closer to our house. It was about 6pm on a weekday and this place was packed with toddlers and their parents. Granted, we were there pretty early but I guess we missed the memo on who the target audience was. Once I got over the exorbitant number of tiny humans in this joint I realized that I wasn't super impressed with the fro yo. It was fine and if you just need your fix this will definitely get the job done but I didn't like the yogurt nearly as much as yogurtland's yogurt. Somehow it tasted more artificial that yogurtland's. I will give them credit for their movie theater popcorn flavor...it was as weird as it sounds but it did taste a heck of a lot like popcorn.

Eh. That's all I've got. If you've never been to another yogurt place like Zinga or Yogurtland or Yogurtini, then sure, it's fine. However, to a fro yo lover like myself, it's not that fabulous. Most of the flavors I tasted had kind of a wonky after taste that made everything taste like fake flavoring. Ugh. Plus, not a lot of topping options. On the plus size, cute spoons and a friendly worker, so not all bad, just not the quality of frozen yogurt and toppings I have become accustomed to with all of the other available options.

Very friendly staff, delicious food. Highly recommended for an afternoon snack! I start craving it on bad days.

I LOVE this place! I've been coming here since they opened almost 2 years ago. The service is great! And the froyo.... Well at one point my boyfriend and I went 3-4 times a week. We had to make ourselves stop going for a few months! My favorite is the dulce with almonds and blue berry. So yummy!

I know you're probably thinking "5 stars? Come on." I do think this rating is well-deserved. If you view my review on YogurtLand and see my benchmarks, I think Menchie's is the best I've had in Denver or Boulder so far for the following reasons: 1. Holy toppings, Batman 2. Good atmosphere, plentiful seating 3. Their chocolate! My friend (also a fro yo connoisseur) and I concurred it's the best we've had so far. 4. Their selections of sorbet!! I may be wrong, but this is the first I've seen this at the now ubiquitous create your own fro yo cup places. A delight to have this option. 5. Their prices were fair and about on par with all the other said fro yo chain places I've visited. 6. Their zany Japanese anime-esque decor--neon kiddie spoons with ornate cartoony handles and all-- should disgust me, but it doesn't. It just drew me in even more.

Service. My husband and I stopped in at the 32nd street location last night - over half the frozen treats were empty as were a few of the toppings. Today, I took my son out for a celebration yogurt and found the store inhabited with high schoolers enjoying burgers and fries, enjoying samples, loudly harassing their parents on their cellphones and never purchasing goods. OWNERS! Your staff is taking you for a ride.

I decided to try this place after dinner with the family. After we arrived we had a hard time finding a parking spot, but that's the Highlands. We finally got parked and were able to go inside and check this place out. The place was pretty busy for a weekday. Pricing was a little spendy but overall it was good and I'll try it again if I'm in the area.

I love this place because its not crowded (yet) and within walking distance of my home. The shop is fun and colorful, with delicious frozen yogurt and all the fixings, plus hoola hoops and board games. If only they had live games of Twister going on. Plus, there is a graham cracker yogurt, which, when mixed with marshmallow topping and chocolate sauce, is divine.

My recommendation is the Pomegranate! If you live in the neighborhood, enjoy the bike ride there. That corner could use a bike rack. Cheap and fast.

Love the yogurt and menchies is one of my favorite yogurt joints, although most of the workers are teens from the local highschool who treat their job more as a hangout then an actual buisness and aren't very cheery.

We pigged out! Love the fresh waffle bowels and toro fro-yo. An enjoyable walk from anywhere in the highlands.

Menchi's is a great little place. It's affordable, and cheaper than most ice cream and frozen yogurt places around town. They always have a ton of flavors and toppings and everyone can always find a combination they like.

I am a big fan of Menchie's, though it certainly wasn't the name that drew me in. I went here after a BBQ and was pleasantly surprised at the selection of flavors both in yogurts and toppings. Sometimes when the selection is great the yogurt quality sucks, kind of like restaurants with really big menus. That is definitely not the case here. The yogurt is great--on par if not better than one of my other favorites, Yogurt Guru. I think Menchie's takes the cake with their topping selection. It's definitely not in the same vein as Pinkberry, but is an awesome place to get your yogurt fix!

  • Kathryn H.

Two yogurt places opening in a similar vicinity, in my neighborhood, oh my! The folks at Menchies are really friendly, but the yogurt just isn't that great. It is no Yogurtland, in that the yogurt flavors are sort of sugary blah, pretty wide selection. If you look closely at the labels, you will notice that many of the flavors have no probiotics. The store itself, is sort of weird, Japanime, or something. I do like the stickers and the card for money off, and I am sure I will end up back there because it is so close. Never had the marijuana incident and in fact, really like the "family" folks that work there!

  • Jeff J.

The yogurt was ok, not anything special. These yogurt places seem to be all the same to me. Got to be careful, the weight can get out of control fast...(reason for the large cups?) Parking was terrible, I had a hard time finding parking.... Reading the other review....Wierd... I thought the person who checked me out smelled of pot too.

Menchie and I started dating around 2 months ago. Having tasted (and loved) other famous California frozen yogurt chains, I didn't have a boatload of confidence that Menchie's would deliver on our first date. I assumed I'd have to make some excuse to leave early, get her home, and leave her with an awkward and dishonest "I'll call you." However, Menchie surprised me. She lives on a rougher looking block in Lohi (32nd and Clay). Her presence there spruces up the 'hood. She's very clean and cute, and she likes to hang out on the corner. Her attendants (staff members, if you will) always greet you with a "Welcome to Menchie's!" Welcome, indeed. She's got a good "original tart." Let's face it, that's the make it or break it flavor for girls like her. Hers holds up to the best of 'em. She'll even let you have a taste of several of her other flavors before she makes you choose just one (or a swirl of a couple if you're feeling lucky). Her flavors constantly rotate too, which is how she keeps it exciting and fresh. She's always willing to indulge your curiosities with seemingly unlimited secret samples. She boasts an extensive toppings bar. Cereal, candies, fresh fruits, mochi (my favorite), cookie dough, sprinkles, and sauces. Yes, Menchie keeps quite a treasure trove of goodies for any palate, pleasure, or satisfaction. Kiwi fruit, fruity pebbles, AND marshmallow sauce in one sitting? Oh yes, my friends, oh yes. She's THAT kinky. Like any date, however, there are always a couple of imperfections. Some of her rotating flavors are innocently terrible, like the recent "eggnog" flavor debacle. I liken that to a companion passing gas during an intimate moment....uncomfortable and unpleasant at the moment, but not a total dealbreaker. The fairly terrible "pumpkin cake" flavor? Sort of like flossing in bed...tediously disgusting, yet it also lets you know she's trying to keep it fresh, attractive, and tasty. These occasional flavor offenses aren't enough to cause me to want to break up with her, mind you. She's always got my "original tart" with mochi and fresh fruit. Alas, Mencie might be a keeper. I haven't introduced her to my friends and family yet, but I think there's a good chance that's on the horizon. Who knows...maybe one day she'll even name a flavor after me..."smooth white chocolate," anybody? *** Cue Barry White's "Can't Get Enough of Your Love, Babe" ***

This place is amazing! I've never seen anything quite like it! You go in and you can sample as many flavors as you'd like. Then, you build your own sundae (or whatever). They have about 15 flavors of ice cream on any given day and they have everything you can think to put in ice cream. They have chocolate covered raisins and nuts, fresh fruit, cereal, gummy bears and worms, nerds, skittles-EVERYTHING! The people are friendly and my kids absolutely love it here. They give you a reusable spoon every time you go in and they have toys and games for the kids to play with. This place is just awesome!

I've been to a few different frozen yogurt places in Denver and this is my new favorite. Admittedly, there isn't much difference between yogurt places, but this one had a very good selection of yogurts and toppings, as good or better than other places. It also is spacious inside and is nice to sit in there and look out on 32nd.

I am 7 months pregnant and I can't help but go here like once a week. A great addition to the neighborhood. And if you don't get crazy it won't cost $10 :) The guy below who is crying about people coming in smelling like weed is funny. That can happen anywhere in Denver we do have dispensaries man. Maybe instead of blaming the yogurt people you could take a deep breathe and relax. Maybe get a few more toppings on that yogurt. They did a great remodel of that space and the staff is super friendly and helpful. I am sure to be back sometime this week :0

Menchie's is to frozen yogurt as Bonnie Brae is to ice cream. I would go to Menchie's even if I didn't like frozen yogurt. The flavor selection is great and the flavors tasted real. The texture is smooth and in the lexicon of gourmands has great "mouth-feel." In addition, the topping selection is varied and fun. Ambiance is geared towards families and the store is spotless, even when people are lining up and the place is jumping (which is was for the entire time we were there.) The staff is very friendly and helpful. We will be regulars even though it's on the opposite side of town from us--in great neighborhood though.

Good yogurt, a bit more expensive than yogurt land and not quite as good...but close. Their staff is always friendly, and there is not much of a wait.

Yummy Yogurt spot in my neighborhood. Lots of different flavors of self serve yogurt and a million toppings to choose from. They also have a frequent buyer card so you get rewarded for enjoying there yogurt. Highly recommend this place.

Creamiest self-serve yogurt I've had yet! Most places have your cheesecake, red velvet, and other eclectic flavors, but... have you ever had dulce de leche? The most amazing, addictive flavor I've had yet. Can't stop thinking about it. Will most definitely return.

I am a big fan of all of the frozen yogurt shops popping up all over town - I think the yogurt is a good alternative to ice cream and obviously most people agree as these places never seem to be lacking customers. However, being a bit of a germ-a-phobe I tend to get a little grossed out by the "self serve" concept. Enter Menchie's. I was down in the Highlands area this week and had heard about this new yogurt shop and decided to check it out. Upon entering the store, you immediately feel welcomed as the staff are quick to greet customers (the store is set up so that the cashier is in the middle and you go aroud it to get the yogurt, so the staff are close enough to the door to greet all customers). The colors are bright and the store looks very clean. The yogurt cups are a little smaller than some of the other places I've been, which is probably a good thing (frozen yogurt is only a "healthy" alternative if you aren't eating pounds and pounds of it every week). The flavors are good and there's enough of a variety to satisfy the tart lovers and the sweet lovers. And then there's the toppings bar (which is always the part that grosses me out at other places when kids are digging their hands in/sneezing...ew). At Menchie's the toppings are covered so that you have to lift up a plastic covering to get to them and they are a little higher (not so easily accessible to little one's fingers). This made me feel much better about the cleanliness of the toppings. Overall, the yogurt is good, the place is clean, and the staff are friendly. I look forward to coming back to Menchie's next time I am in the Highlands area.

The girl working the place was very helpful and nice. We could have as many samples as we like. It is .11/oz more than Yogurtland and it is further away from so I will stay with Y-land. I did like most of the flavors though especially the dulce le leche and the caramel creme (which also had apple in it so it tasted like a caramel apple). They do have a "card" where you can accumulate points and earn money off which is nice.

Menchie's is the best. The staff are always so sweet and the variety of flavors is fantastic. So good.. I am addicted!

The yogurt flavors were good... the reason for the low rating is that we came with several of our grandchildren for Grandparents Day as they were supposed to have 50% off. However, the staff said the 50% off was only for Saturday... get it straight, Menchies; today, Sunday, is Grandparents Day :-(
