Wow, with all the hype about this place I was shocked at the lack of quality and service. I am surprised that Landry's is willing to put their name on this place. Yes, that's right, it's just another overpriced Landry's. We came here on mother's day with a group of 7. We had a reservation for 2:00pm and arrived on time, however, we were forced to sit in the bar for 40 minutes before we could be seated. While in the bar we decided to order our drinks, however, no one ever came to take the order. My mother in-law took our drink orders and wrote them on a napkin then chased a bartender down. Finally, we were allowed a table. However, get to the table and I found that my silver was not clean. Eew! No one to tell because the staff vanished like fumes! After another 20 minutes and we finally got to order. Except, they came back and said to my wife, "I'm sorry, we ran out of eggs this morning, you'll have to order something else. Keywords are eggs and this morning. They ran out of one of the most common foods hours earlier and evidently couldn't be troubled to run down the street and pick up a few more before lunch. 30 minutes later the food arrived. I had the Clam Chowder and the Chop Salad. The chowder was on par with the stuff out of the can. It was relatively tasteless and only luke warm. I expected so much better. The salad however was very well done. Crisp, flavorful and not overdressed. My wife had the fish and chips. It was on par with Long John Silver's. The fish was of sufficient quality, however, the frozen fried were undercooked. The table had a side of lobster mashed potatoes. They were very good. The others in our group got various entrées, and were satisfied, but not wowed by them. In fact, it appears that mashed potatoes and salads are things that McCormick and Schmick's cant screw up. So finally, it was time for desert. However, that didn't work. Because every time we ordered one, we were told that they were out of that item. Mind you, this is mid afternoon. What did they have in mind for the dinner rush? In the end, we were in the restaurant for a total of 2 hours and 45 minutes. Quite a bit of our day gone for a late lunch. Save yourself the hassle. Go to the Long John Silver's down the street. At least they have clean utensils.

Three Words: Happy Hour Menu! McCormick & Schmick's is still my go-to place for HH in the DTC environs. Choose from 1.95 through 4.95 menu items, and selected drink specials. Tonight it was the Fish Tacos and the Bruschetta. Just right for a late afternoon snack. I was a bit disappointed with the Mojito. Perhaps a little too much sweetness in my drink. I've eaten at M&S for dinner on numerous occasions, The fish and seafood is always top notch, as is the service.

Loved this restaurant! I had the salmon (which, unfortunately was not wild caught)... But so, so tasty. The service was excellent, these servers definitely are experienced. The bill for my husband and I, with wine and appetizer was about 100. Not too terrible for excellent quality food.

Phenominal happy hour. Great prices too.. I highly recommend it. The quality of the food is second to none, best in the tech center.

Will never go back! We went there because we saw on their website that they had Ahi Tuna and Wontons for $5.95 and Cheeseburgers for $2.95. The Ahi Tuna was not on the happy hour menu, and the burger was listed at $3.95. When we asked about this the hostess said that the menu on the website was old and the burger had gone up in price and they no longer offered the tuna. (I see that the website was updated today to reflect the current offerings). We ordered a happy hour tequila sunrise and a screwdriver and thought they would be $4 on happy hour as listed on the menu. We were charged $5.25 for the screwdriver & $4.50 for the tequila sunrise. When we asked why, we were told that they charge extra for the juice, and there is more juice in the screwdriver than the tequila sunrise. We also ordered a cheeseburger done medium rare and were told that they could not prepare happy hour burgers to a certain tempurature. We were there on Black Friday and there were only 2 other people in the bar. The waitress came back and said that since they were slow she did ask the kitchen to prepare the burger as we requested, but when the burger came, it was very well done. No apologies were given for any of the above mentioned problems, and we were treated as if all was our fault. One of the worst restaurant experiences ever!!

This is the WORST restaurant review I have ever written, and hopefully it will be the worst for a long time. I've taken a few weeks to calm down, so hopefully the review doesn't come across as just rant. 1) SLOW SERVICE My group of 6 went to McCormick on a Sunday night. We were probably one of ten occupied tables there. We had brought our 9 month old baby, so speedy service was key. We arrived aat 7:30pm, ordered in 10 minutes, but entrees didn't get served until 9pm. 2) BURNT STEAK My husband ordered the ribeye ($30). He asked for medium rare. It arrived not just well done, but burnt. As in, one side of the steak was so hard it was charcoal black and can't be cut through. How a place as highly regarded as McCormick's can screw up a piece of steak (and then went ahead and served it) is beyond me. 3) NO RESPECT FOR ALLERGIES The manager came over after the steak incident and offered to take it off our check. My husband politely declined and asked if she could just bring out some desserts for the group. He also specified that everything must be nut free due to his severe allergy. 10 minutes later, three desserts arrive, and the Upside Down Apple Pie was put right in front of my husband. He was holding the baby at the time so I took the first bite and immediately found myself chewing something crunchy. It took me about 10 minutes before I could find someone to ask if there were any nuts in the pie (remember, we were one of the only tables). The manager finally arrived and confirmed the crust had walnuts. I looked at her and said, "my husband has an allergy to walnuts." She looked at me and said: "Oh yeah, then he probably shouldn't eat it." There wasn't a single apologetic gesture from her at all. So to conclude, we are just appalled by this restaurant. We will never be back and unless you can't go anywhere else, I highly recommend you go somewhere else.

McCormicks is withing spitting distance of the office I work at and the obvious first choice when clients are in town and we want to take them somewhere "fancy". The restaurant is pretty large and can easliy accomodate a bigger group at lunch time with no notice, particularly if you arrive early. The service is a mixed bag. While attentive, they're not neccessarily the most helpful. I went most recently with a large group from work at lunchtime. We shared calamari and mussels and I ordered the fish tacos. The calamari was a pretty typical breaded and fried preparation...nothing too crazy and exciting. The mussels were super tasty, in a white wine broth with tomatoes and garlic. And the fish tacos? Let's just say I'm glad I wasn't the person paying $12 for them. They were fine, but not over-the-top amazing. They come two to an order with a side of beans and rice (pretty tasty) and topped with pico, cabbage, and white cheese. The boring cabbage made me yearn for Billy's fish tacos which are way cheaper and have a tastier slaw (and are amazing). McCormicks is a fun treat when someone else is paying, but if it were me, I'd skip it.

This place is HORRIBLE and a disgrace to the restaurant industry ... Service is awful as if they have a bunch of un-trained monkeys working there...WILL NEVER GO BACK!! Avoid this place like a restaurant with a rat infestation ...

The service was terrible! I went on a Monday night holiday and the service was still slow. Waiters kept looking at our table and ignored us when we clearly needed service. We always had to take the initiative to get someone to come over for a refill or to order! The seafood gumbo wasn't good either. Do not go here!

Good happy hour and nice prices make this a happy hour staple! I have to say I love any bar that has the look and style of the bar here. Maybe that's why they get four stars instead of three. The 30's styling always functions to put me in a relaxed mood. Besides the styling, the food has good flavor and price point (a $3.95 full size burger. What?!?!). My only complaint is that the happy hour drink menu is a little skimpy. I'd like to see a discount on all drinks rather than this limited menu. This is a great place to get together after work (or during work), have a good amount of grub and drink and not feel your wallet disappear. Now, if I had sat down in the dining room, I would have been walking home.

My husband and I went to McCormick and Schmick in Greenwood Village tonight to celebrate our anniversary. What a disappointment! Our waiter, Matt, was totally indifferent. He never smiled or was friendly. He forgot to serve us bread, gave inaccurate information about the dessert, and didn't even wish us happy anniversary which he was well aware of. Certainly would never go back. I had better service this morning at Perkins Pancakes

My boyfriend and I decided on McCormick's for HH last Friday, since they are close to our home and have a patio. It wasn't busy when we arrived around 4:15pm. The bartender was excellent, so was their Sangria (the best I've ever had at a restaurant), and pricey by glass. Order the carafe instead, if you're planning on more than one glass. The hummus/pita chips were very good, so were the shrimp. My boyfriend had the half-pound cheeseburger, and thought it was ok, since he believes the best burgers in town are the ones he makes. They allow smoking on the patio and provide ashtrays. We moved from the bar to the patio. The reason I didn't give McCormick's 5 stars: the service slacked towards the end of our servers shift, around 6:45. You could tell she was ready to leave, and we were no longer a priority once the tab was paid. Everyone was very friendly. We'll be back.

Celebrating our adult daughters birthday, who happens to be a pescatarian, attracted me to this restaurant was its selection of seafood. We began our meal by ordering 2 seafood appetizers (Tuna Tartar and the Crab and Mango Tower), which were fresh yet bland. For our main course, we felt that the majority of the food was buttery, oily, and too rich (Seafood Trio, scallops, and steak). Our main complaint however, was the 1 lb, 50$ King Crab Legs. The crab legs were not meaty, sweet, or warm (I've had much better at Red Lobster). Since we didn't want to ruin the evening or the mood, we just paid our bill. On our way out, the manager approached us and we told her about the crab legs. She responded that next time we came in she would take care of us, but she didn't supply us with her information nor take ours = an empty promise. With this, we will not return to McCormick's & Shit's. Oh ya, they commemorated my daughter's birthday with a menu that said "happy birthday" on it.

Oof. Went here for a business lunch which seems to be their main clientele but it just wasn't good. The service was horrible and they under cooked my tuna (let's discuss how hard it is to under-sear a piece of fish, you only thought it impossible). I'd be more irritated if I had to pay for it or their lobster bisque was less incredible.

Lunch prices are good; Dinner prices are expensive. However, they do fly in their oysters every day & change the menu daily to accomodate whatever flew in that morning. Others may rate this lower because of how expensive it is, but I don't go there very often. It's nice to have a place you can go that you know you'll be getting quality food. Hit up the McCormicks downtown by the baseball field too!

The happy hour here is the subject of story and song. It's "famous" as the menu and website will have you believe. And really, $2.95 for a half-pound burger and fries is quite a deal anywhere, much less an expense-account place like this. But then things kinda balance out. If you stick with the six or so drinks on their menu that they offer as specials I suppose it could be economical. But I wasn't there to save money, and nothing on the HH drink menu appealed to me. I had a so-so vodka martini ($9) with the hummus plate ($3.95) to start. It came in three ramekins of flavored hummus that really seemed more salty than anything, and the tortilla chips made it even more so. Why not a pita the way hummus is usually served? For round two I had the chicken satay and a Stella Artois ($6.26). The chicken skewers were a bit dry without much flavor, and a kinda had hoped it would come with something to dip it in--but was disappointed. Also, there were only three of them. The service was good. I was greeted and served quickly. The crowd is affluent and older--much older than I recall seeing in other places in the area. It could have been the day or the hour (Monday and before 6). When writing reviews of happy hours in "fancy" restaurants I sometimes feel like I am actually reviewing an early-bird special, and thus giving into old age in my own hipster-iffic way. Hey, small dishes of popular food combined with cut-rate drinks: That's a recipe for keeping gramps happy and regular. Would I go back? Sure. It's just not at the top of the list anymore. To judge by the flavors of the food I ordered, the "good food but not great" that others mention seems to ring true.

McCormick's is my kind of restaurant, good seafood and beer. They also serve other things (Steak, pasta, etc.) and good wine. I really like the one on Ghiradelli Square on a hot day, when all the french windows are open. The one in Denver has a private dining room and excellent service for a business dinner. Walking distance from Denver Tech Center.

I went here for the second time last night, and I'm pretty sure that the staff has a sign up in the kitchen this morning that says, "Beware, this girl gets sick and throws up in the bathroom every time she comes here." It's not really their fault. The first time I went there, I had the flu. Second time, I hadn't eaten all day and just ate too much and ended up feeling really, really sick. I think it was the horrible $8.50 glass of wine I drank. I don't know why I didn't send it back. Anyway, the food was good, but not great. I'm pretty sure the pureed potatoes were from a box of powder. The steak that I had was good as was the calamari. Our waiter seemed surly and gruff, had no sense of humor and seemed extremely hurried and like we were sort of an inconvenience for him. Last time I went, we had a very nice waiter, so I guess that part kind of depends on where you get seated. The biggest gripe I have about this place is the heat. My God, that place was like an inferno and I was having a management meeting, so it's not like I could get up and leave. We were all sweating after our meal and we had to ask our waiter if he could turn the heat down. I have sent out an email to the rest of the management team letting them know that, unless they want me to throw up at the next meeting, we should never eat here for a meeting again.

We ate here on Election night. I ordered the Fish and Chips and my companion ordered Lobster Bisque. The waiter brought the bisque out in a pitcher and poured it over a chunk of lobster. My companion thought it fine; just average as the bisque was bland like tomato soup and not very tasty. The fish and chips, on the other hand, can best be described as the worst I have ever eaten. The fish was covered in an overcooked batter. I had to chew off and cut off chunks of burned batter in order to get to the fish, which, sadly was not cod but what appeared to be scraps of fish that perhaps was left over when the kitchen prepared other meals, soaked it in batter and overcooked it. I cannot trust a restaurant that cannot even prepare the simplest fish dish on the menu and We will never return.

I'm in a good mood so a 3.5 star will get the 4 star rating. As mentioned the happy hour deals are good and push the star rating up. Secondly, if you end up here at lunch the meals are decently priced. The food is good - not amazing - so skip dinner. If the prices are high, so are my expectations.

My husband and I have been here four times now and we have never been disappointed. Though it is a bit pricey, you get what you pay for. I have been to places that charge similar and they are just aweful! I enjoy this place, and love the food, drinks, and desert. From the negative reviews I have read, it seems that these were experiences of those going there in the morning or for lunch (?) I have only dined here in the evening.

The atmosphere was great the service was wonderful and the food was above average as expected. The steak was tender and cooked with care. The only thing that could be better is the elimination of the potato serving tray. It reminds me of some country rib house. Dress the potato prior to serving please! I will continue to dine at McCormick & Schmick's.

This place has really gone downhill since the new ownership took over. The service was terrific, the decor is great, but our dinner was an embarrassment. I had cedar plank salmon with a fruit compote and grilled vegetables. The salmon had no flavor, the "grilled vegetables" were mostly potatoes with a few pieces of zucchini, and the fruit compote was a smidge of something tasteless on the side. It was simply awful. Great service cannot make up for lousy food. The place now has a corporate feel that says the accountants are in charge. We won't be back.

if there were a "Real Housewives" of Denver, they probably would schedule all of their lunch dates at this place. Their happy hour consists of a $3.75 Coors Light? What is so happy about that? If you want to hang out with a bunch of old people who think they are god's gift to real estate agents, than by all means, go here. The people watching; however, is to die for (great conversation piece). Think old maids with bleached blonde beehive hairdo, fur coat, oversized sunglasses, fake tan, toy poodle in purse, and mercedes benz. Hahahahaha..

Oyster lovers!! Barcats $1! Here TWICE in 24 hours! Their happy hour is really spectacular. Great value...and good food. Carpaccio, wings, burger, barcat oysters. My son loves this burger...as much as the kid's wagyu beef burger at Perry's. (perhaps Wagyu beef is lost on those under 16 years old?) I just love this place is not overcrowded and they give you a really good value...for way better than typical "bar" food!

Made a reservation for a complimentary entree to honor veteran's on Veteran's Day. They have complimentary valet. We waited about 5 minutes to get our table and our server was Katie. She was very bubbly, professional and gave great suggestions. Started off with a glass of Merlot and Calina ordered a Guinness. I ordered the tender beef medallions with mashed potatoes and green beans. Calina had the shrimp and andouille mac and cheese. Both were great but Calina's entree was super delicious!! Since we waited a little bit for our food, Katie brought me another glass of Merlot. That was so nice. Ended the meal with carrot cake to share-yummy with two coffees.

For starters, there is little parking available. Your choices are a small valet lot or street parking. However, given that it is in the Tech Center, this is somewhat expected. The service was on the slow side but very knowledgeable. I went with a large group, so I wasn't expecting the service to be super fast, but we all knew what we wanted for our meals by the time our server came back for drink orders after getting waters for everyone. The chairs were somewhat uncomfortable, but tolerable. They could be better. The lighting inside is rather dim, which is something I prefer and there was no loud music playing, also a plus. It was a calm and relaxed atmosphere. The food and drinks were incredible. It was some of the best seafood I've ever had and the creme brulee was perfect. My swordfish was cooked perfectly and the calamari was not greasy at all and cooked to the right tenderness. All in all, I will be going back. It is a bit pricey, but the food is well worth the cost. But I could do with less explaining of the menu for the sake of efficiency.

I was visiting from Houston, decided to drop in since it is a familiar restaurant. The person who greeted me at the door was very pleasant. I asked to place an order to go and since it was raining out and I was all wet, she took the order for me. While I waited checked on my order several times and told me that it was almost ready. Her shift ended and I heard her tell the man in the suit (manager I assumed) that my order was almost ready. She said good bye and left. The manager never acknowledged me. He walked by me several times while I was sitting there and just looked as if I wasn't even there. Fine, whatever. About 20 mins go by and I noticed my food had not been out, I then said to the assumed manager, have you checked on my food? He said, I didn't know what you were waiting for. Um, did you ask? Didn't I hear the waitress tell you? Nevertheless, eventually got my food and left. When I got back to hotel, less than 10 minutes later, my steak and shrimp were cold. Cold steak and shrimp are not exactly what you bargain for when you spend $50 on a meal.

My second time here and can't say that I'll be back. First time was for an event and the food at the appetizer buffet was great, especially the crab cakes. Service was excellent both times, but that unfortunately doesn't make up for the bad food on my second trip. This time, for happy hour, the food was honestly terrible. We shared the happy hour burger, the fish tacos and the tuna tartar & ahi combi. The burger is a great deal for only 5 bucks and it comes with fries. I think it sat too long on the window or the bread was stale because the bun was hard and almost crunchy. The meat and accompaniments were good, average. The fish tacos were bland and the fish tasted old and was inedible. My husband, who is a chef, said it was probably just a bad cut. Lastly, the tuna...the tartar was great, the ahi cubes, on the other hand were horrendous. They had a spicy rub all over the cube of the tuna and siracha on top. And spicy is an understatement, it was so much rub that it actually burned my tongue for a solid 10 minutes (and I love spicy, but this was anything but normal). I don't see how anyone would like these or why they would be prepared this way, and why you would ruin a beautiful piece of fish. Does the chef or the cooks actually taste their own menu items? Doubtful because this should never be served. Worst of all, both my husband and I felt severely ill about an hour after eating here. Great deals for happy hour, but certainly not worth it.

Had heard such great things about their happy hour so we decided to try it out. The atmosphere was great as they have table seating in the bar area. They offer a selection of appetizers at $3,5,7,9. We ordered 4 to share. The coconut shrimp were great as was the crab queso which comes with homemade chips. The mussels however were the worst I've ever had. They were overcooked and super dry - had to peel them out of the shells. We definitely needed 4 appetizers to feel full. Our bill with the appetizers and 2 drinks still ran us around $50. Not terrible for seafood but not the best happy hour I've ever been to.

Do you like butter? Are you 65+? Like snooty waitresses? Then this place is for you. We dined here on a Friday evening as it's close to our house and seafood sounded good. I didn't look at the menu before we left - which was a mistake. I found it hard to select an entree from the menu simply because I do like lighter food - and everything on the menu was accompanied by potatoes or pasta, and all the salads are filled with blue cheese (I'm allergic). We settled on some oysters from the raw bar and a crab cake to start, then I ordered the shrimp trilogy (terrible name) with butternut squash orzo and my boyfriend ordered the shrimp and andouille mac and cheese. Upon sitting down I notice that there's trash on the floor next to my seat (photo included), which I thought, for the prices and the whole 'upscale' concept was a bit off-putting. I ignored it and hoped the food would be better. While their wine list is quite extensive, their beer list was very minimal and my boyfriend was unimpressed with the Coors and Budweiser beers with few local or craft options. I ordered a single glass of white (I'm a cheap date and I can't drink that much) and I felt like the waitress was annoyed that we hadn't purchased a whole bottle or something. From the time we placed our order it seemed like she was upset that we weren't racking up a higher bill. Her demeanour towards us suggested that perhaps she felt we didn't belong there - service was quite snooty for a place that really isn't very high end at all. (I've eaten at Joël Robuchon and at the New York Grill in Tokyo, among other high-end and Michelin starred establishments, and nobody there has ever made me feel unwelcome.) This place has paper tablecloths over the fabric ones and I don't see anyone brushing the crumbs off of my table - it's not high end enough to warrant service like that. The oysters I ordered were fresh but on the smaller side and were served with cocktail sauce and vinegar - no mignonette, which is what I would anticipate, so that was a touch disappointing. The crab cake was fine, it was small for the price and nothing to write home about - it was served atop a bunch of melted butter. Our food took a long time to come out, and our waitress warned us that the plates were very hot when they did - yet the food was room temperature - meaning our food sat under a heat lamp for some time before it got to us. My boyfriend's entree was good - but definitely heavy. My entree was small and poorly presented (I forgot to take a photo); I've seen more attractive playing at a Red Lobster. The stuffed shrimp were really strong tasting and unpleasant, the scampi was extremely butter-laden, and the fried shrimp were, well, basic fried shrimp. The butternut squash orzo was flavourless and had maybe five tiny pieces of squash in it; it too was very buttery. For the price it was really disappointing - none of the flavours meshed well, and while the shrimp wasn't rubbery, it felt like a chore to eat it. Finally, I ordered crème brûlée- which was a mistake - it was, hands down, the worst crème brûlée I've ever had - it was barely torched, the fruit on top was not really fresh - the berries on top were starting to wrinkle; the inside was the worst: it was a thick, grainy paste - like eating vanilla toothpaste. Overall, this place likely stays in business from the old folks we saw dining there - perhaps we just aren't their demographic. The dated menu, the unnecessarily snooty service, and the uninspired food are all reasons to steer clear of this place.

Came in for dinner on a Tuesday, so the parking and ambiance was peaceful. Ordered Calamari, and a small cup of clam chowder. Calamari was good and properly cooked, came with 2 sauces. I loved the Clam Chowder it was so creamy. On to the main course, we ordered one of each of the Chef's special, stuffed salmon, and blackened catfish... both were very, very, good served with whipped potatoes and green beans. The flavors were awesome, and we will be coming back to try the Famous Happy Hour !!! Also, the service was professional and prompt

Mc&S is what it is...... So what is it? It's a familiar place with familiar food.... And it's not too shabby! I tried the steak medallions and lobster sun/mon special for 25.99..... Hey it wasn't my all time seafood spot , but it was tasty and just about the right size..... My gorgeous wife had the chef's three course special, Mushroom Chicken Marsala. Wow it was good! I was thinking Mc&S was on the downhill slide but maybe I was a little quick with my prognosis.

I had a biz dinner where we booked the back rm and had a set menu Service was a bit slow but expected given the size of our group Food was fine - the app was a salad (I asked for no dressing but it mixed in lightly nonetheless which actually saved the fish from the overly sweet candied walnuts - I picked those out and it still made the salad a bit too sweet but a good counterpt to the sour kick of the dressing) The main was a fish - nicely cooked and beautifully presented; I was impressed Dessert was creme bulee - what a disappointment... Not very good at all... If that were better, I might have given the experience a 4 star

Came here when I first got married six years ago and everything about this place was fantastic, but tonight's experience was a disappointment. Though we wanted to take our time, service was mediocre with waiting checking on us more then normal then apologizing when she brought the door out. Do they give people jobs without training?

Went here for Valentine's Day with my husband and son. We were a very early reservation due to early evening plans. My son and I ordered the lobster and steak special. The lobster was good not great, but good. The steak was supposed to be 5 oz. of medallions. There were three tiny over cooked medallions that weighed probably only an ounce. Not worth it! The side of a grilled piece of tomato was just weird and not edible. The side of crispy potatoes were over cooked and greasy. Also not a side worth having. We ordered an extra side of cheesy mashed potatoes that were good, but not great. Waitress was awesome. Just wish my dinner was as good as the service.

I had been here a few times before for happy hour and they have great prices and a good selection at those prices. Went tonight for Denver Restaurant week. Definitely Fabulous service (Eric our waiter was fabulous). I had the salmon that was stuffed with crab, shrimp and brie cheese . The salmon was very moist and tasty, however I prefer a grilled salmon for flavor but this was still good. I also love sun dried tomatoes which were also included in the stuffing. I could have done without the mashed potatoes (nothing special) and I am not a green beans fan (but my other table guests said they were very good with a garlicky flavor). I had the dinner salad which was very good as well with mixed greens candied walnuts, blue cheese, and a balsamic vinaigrette.. My husband had the beef medallions that came with a lobster tail and had the cup of clam chowder. Everyone said the clam chowder was good, his steak was cooked perfectly to how he ordered it and I didn't get to taste his steak, however it was gone within moments. I did taste the lobster tail which was very good. Our table shared the calamari as an extra and I found it to be very tasty and a good texture. I liked that they also added some banana peppers and some carrots in as well as a dusting a parmesan cheese. Lastly desert...I was the only one who got the chocolate truffle cake.. The cheese cake was the better of the two and had a nice raspberry drizzle and some whipped cream, it had a nice consistence and flavor. For my chocolate truffle cake I thought from the look of it that it would be very rich and with my coffee it was perfect, it had a brownie taste to it. Overall I thought we got a great meal for our $30/pp on Denver restaurant week and as we gazed over the menu will probably go back again to try more since there were some interesting dishes/apps listed.

This was one of the worst experiences we have ever had at a restaurant. The service was deplorable and the food was below average. We expected a very nice Mother's Day dinner and will NEVER go back. I can't believe we just paid for that meal.

I have been going to McCormick's for years and the quality has steadily been going down hill. Last week the service was terrible. The food came 30 minutes after we ordered and not so much as an apology. Lunch should be much quicker. Then the food, they didn't even bother to devein the shrimp on my salad... Gross! I try my hardest not to go there but every now and again a client books it and I am forced.

Chopped salad was very good, service was excellent but my swordfish was dry and flavorless. A bit overpriced for the quality.

Went here for lunch with a group from work. The lunch menu was reasonably priced and had a lot of good options. I ended up getting the shrimp and Andouille mac and cheese which was filling and tasty. My co-workers' dishes looked good as well: fish and chips, salmon, linguini. The service was average but the food and atmosphere made me a fan.

We went here for restaurant week and ended up not using the restaurant week menu. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. The waiter had recommened the steak and lobster for $25 which is a special they do on Sundays and Mondays. The clam chowder and sourdough bread was fantastic!!! the only complaint that I have is the steak that came with our meal (although very tasty) was only 3 small thinly cut strips of steak, not a whole steak. Im not sure if they only do this when they are running the special or all of the time. The cheesecake was fantastic. Overall very good and we will return, but will not order the steak and lobster because we left feeling ripped off.

I have to say the entrees were delicious and although slightly overpriced I would have no complaints if the service was on par, . Unfortunately, the service was not. Our bottle of wine came out with our oysters and our entree came out before the soup and salad. The server just acted scared and if we never asked for a manager we may have had a horrible experience. Fortunately, the manager, Lisa, made up for it so we will happily come back

Valentine's Day: My first experience here and I'd be hard pressed to come back. We started out with the pepper jack stuffed bacon wrapped shrimp. They were pretty good but you only get 5 for $14.99. My fiancé got the scallops and I got the mahi mahi. The mahi was mediocre but the scallops were pretty tasty. The accompaniments were pretty good (crab hash and sweet corn puree). The portion size is what turned me off. Three scallops and 5-6oz portion of mahi. For what I spent and what we got, I'd gather buy two pounds of sea bass and cook my own seafood meal. The food was decent but the overall value prompted the 3 star rating.

Granted I don't eat here for regular dining so this review is purely for their Happy Hour, M-F until 7pm (not sure of start time). I would give this place 5 stars as the HH food is delicious (and cheap! $2.99-$5.99) but the drinks aren't that great of a deal, with a fairly basic selection and service and your food order can be slow so 4 stars is fair as we do come here often. HH menu changes a couple of times a year, but currently the sliders ($5), Carpaccio ($5) and Fish Tacos ($6) are pretty fantastic.

Danny was our waiter and really made our night enjoyable! My boyfriend and I celebrated my birthday here and Danny made it really special. We both had the steak and lobster and we loved it. The clam chowder soup to start was warm and delicious as well. Danny was so fun and sweet I can't wait to see him again!

We had Christmas dinner at this restaurant - an upscale, expensive, fine dining restaurant and close to home. Have had great holiday dinners there in past. This, from the menu, was a disappointment for my husband. He ordered the Seafood Trio, which was to include stuffed shrimp. His shrimp were too small to even have withstood butterflying. There was a tiny amount of stuffing atop each one of only three, not worthy of such an expensive meal, unappealing in appearance. He noticed they were serving a shrimp appetizer with shrimp at least 2x the size. Obviously, people who ordered appetizers were given priority over dinner without appetizer orders. It was cheap of the restaurant and to be blunt, cheezy. I had the chopped salad with dinner, excellent. He had the caesar salad, a bit on the skimpy side. Were they running out of romaine lettuce as well? I had the stuffed salmon dinner. It was rather bland, with a spoonful of stuffing sitting atop the salmon, not stuffed .He fixed salmon on the grill a few nights later at home and it was much tastier than what their kitchen served, proof they could do better. They obviously serve mashed potatoes and green beans with all their dinners. They offer nothing whatsoever to flavor the potatoes with, not even butter, so that could also use some help, although not a major issue. At least we got seated in the dining room this time, instead of the cramped little room behind the bar, a plus. Their wait staff is always very efficient and friendly. They can't control what comes out of the kitchen, however. Perhaps some training in menu consistency would be of benefit.

Holiday dinner for the four of us. Called and made reservations, but when we checked in, the host asked me if we could have made the reservation under a different name. They asked how many were in our party, and then disappeared. A hostess returned about five minutes later and took us to our table. From there, our waitress was excellent. She was quick to answer our questions, knowledgeable and very friendly. We enjoyed our appetizers (the oyster bar is wonderful), and the entrees were delicious. Our food arrived promptly, and we were very happy with our service. Not sure what happened at the front, but the wait staff was excellent. Will definitely return!

For a chain restaurant, the service and food are really good. Seafood is very fresh and their menu has an excellent variety to appease any seafood lover. For the carnivores, the selection is also very good! My server today, Sarah, was very attentive and customer-focused.

Honestly we just stopped in here because it was close to work and we were avoiding traffic, but we really had a terrific time. With open seating in the bar, we found ourselves a nice cozy booth and were delighted to learn they were doing happy hour. Good prices on quality drinks. The Cabernet I enjoyed for $6 was lovely and they fresh squeeze their grapefruit juice, such a nice treat. Happy hour included specials on wells ($4) drafts ($3.75) and cocktails ($6-7) with food specials ranging from $3-6. We had spinach dip ($5) and bruschetta ($3). We actually enjoyed the bruschetta so much we ordered a second. Oh! Bonus! I cannot speak to the rest of the restaurant, but the bar area did not have that pungent seafood smell. The service was attentive, but not overwhelming. The staff as a whole were very aware of their guests, always "on stage." Our server genuinely seemed to enjoy her job, which added to the experience; there is nothing worse than a waitstaff who hates their job and wants everyone to know it. I had no problem finding parking, we were actually concerned they were not open because the lot appeared empty. But my boyfriend arrived 45 minutes after me and it was a bit of a hassle. They offer valet parking, but we are a little particular about just letting anyone drive our cars. So, he parked about a 10 minute walk away, which wouldn't have been an issue if it wasn't so chilly. Based on this experience, we are looking forward to bringing friends in for dinner, and I say this as a vegetarian (and not the kind that eats fish). Although they did not have any entrees that were not seafood or steak, they do have it had quite a few options I am interested in trying: interesting salads, fun flat breads, and amazing desserts.

Let me start off by saying it can be difficult to procure fresh seafood living in a land-locked state. McCormick & Schmick's is a pretty average, run-of-the-mill restaurant for the genre of upper scale seafood restaurants. Being a chain, I would have expected some consistency between restaurants; however, this one seemed below par. Upon being seated, our server definitely missed the 30-second greet. We were one of three or four tables in his section and it took him over five minutes to stop by and take our drink order. By that time we had already decided on our entrees and promptly regurgitated our entire meal and drink order. We both ordered a Grey Goose dirty martini. For dinner, I ordered the seared scallops and my partner ordered the cashew crusted tilapia. We also ordered a side of the cheddar mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. I will say that the martini was the best part of the meal. After a pretty long time, our meals came out with my plate being extremely hot. Having previously worked in the restaurant industry, I know when a plate has been sitting under a heat lamp for an extended amount of time; and with scallops... let's just say they weren't up to snuff. The cashew crusted tilapia was, however, tasty and I am glad that at least one of our meals came out semi-decent. The sides were also fairly average with either one not really standing out as OMG amazing. All-in-all, I wouldn't recommend McCormick & Schmick's as a go-to place for some good seafood in Colorado. I did read that they have a pretty killer happy hour, which may sweeten the deal when you are not paying bucoo bucks for a sub-par average meal.

1st and last time. Have been to other M&S in other state and all was great. This was on a Monday evening, not very crowded. Waitress was very pleasant but also very slow. I mean like going backwards. My wife had seafood dinner and it was very good in all ways. I had a filet medium. When it came it was well done, about 1/4" thick and 6" wide. Tasted one bite and was ok but way over cooked. They apologized and took it back. I mentioned that it did not even look like a filet. They brought me another one, after my wife had finished her dinner, took a long time, and it looked like a filet. Cut it open and was cooked to medium. All is good I think. When I cut it open it was hard to cut, very unusual for a filet, tasted it and it was tough and grisly. ate about 1/3 of it and that was it. Do not know what kind of beef it was but def. not a filet. Know one came to check except waitress to bring check. She wanted to know if I wanted it boxed, said no and that it was bad. She said ok. Pd. bill left and mentioned to hostess that we would not be back and she said OK. no I am sorry or why.

McCormick & Shitz What a huge disappointment! I consider myself a pseudo foodie and this was the worst meal I have ever had in Denver for the price. We started off with $13.00 martinis that were made in small glasses and a little over half full and not cold. We were then served a wilted salad with very little bacon and blue cheese. Awful fishy crab with avocado and mango followed with us splitting a lobster thermidor. We had a bad feeling about it and we were right...It was tiny giving us 2 bites each. They covered it in risotto to make it look like a meal. Our server was slow and clueless. How does this place stay open? All this and a $135 bill when we split a meal. I just got home and had to post to save my fellow yelpers from throwing their money away. We ate at Del Friscos last week for the same price NEVER AGAIN!!!

I have to admit after eating at Landry's (see my other review) and knowing they were owned by the same restaurant group I was a bit nervous. I shouldn't have been. Fresh oysters, fresh fish, great port, great dessert. I am in the DTC often and I will frequent this place. I even got the Landry's Select Card because the service in the bar was so good.

Dear McCormick and Schmicks: I wish you well I really do but I have one question/complaint that I will publicly post here (since I called you with the others that I had).... what the heck is your deal with putting the flavorless vegetable succotash on EVERYTHING? Seriously, it was on our appetizers, it was in my pasta, used as a side for my fiance's meal, a side on at least three other of the entrees with out rhyme or reason. Why would you include it in the sauce on my Cajun fettuccine? Why would you have vegetable succotash with iced shrimp? Why would you put it on potatoes? God it was awful. Have a little originality with your entrees. I am surprised that it didn't end up on our ice-cream we had for desert. OH and speaking of that... for pete's sake a squirt of whipping cream would have been nice. For almost four bucks a small scoop of ice cream should have a little bit of dressing to it. And not come out melted. I won't ever go back due to the service issues and attitude we got. But you already know that. But the lack of originality in your food? Yeah sorry ... that is the kicker. That is a lazy chef or sous. And I wanted openly to post about that. Sure you are a corporation run restaurant, I get that, believe me I do. But even corporate chefs should know better. Good luck with everything M & S... but please... reconsider some of your plating, presentation and side dishes.... It would make a world of difference. The diet coke though, and I mean this will all sincerity, was terrific. Zoe

I recently took a large group of clients to this McCormick & Schmick's. We reserved a private room and had a wonderful lunch. Angie who was my contact there did a great job of coordinating the event for us. Their serving staff took care of us on the day of the event. Overall, we had a very good experience. My clients enjoyed it very much. I will be back, for sure.

I'll make this short and (hopefully) sententious: The reason I am giving McCormick & Schmick's 5 stars is because of the overall experience and the combination of elements involved in dining out. I have been to both McCormicks in Denver a number of times, and a couple of their restaurants in other states. I am familiar with their concept and execution. The food was definitely well above average, 4 stars. Appetizer, salad, main course, sides, the wine--all of the components blended well and they were a real treat for the palate. The service was beyond excellent, if I could give 7 stars I would. Danny was our server and I highly--HIGHLY--recommend asking for him if you decide to dine there. He is professional, very knowledgeable, relaxed, low key, efficient, friendly, and above all, doesn't think that the dining experience is about him (as many good servers unfortunately do). He is all about the food and your experience. The GM, Julie, handles the restaurant very, very well. From where I sat she was quarterbacking the operation very expertly and efficiently. My girlfriend and I will go back often. I recommend that you give the place a try. Ask for Danny. OK, the review wasn't that short. I apologize.

Service at the restaurant was great! Food is pretty good. I would say as expected. Great HH deals for sure. However, the valet guy was pretty rude. I parked the car myself and then when I came out he had moved it to the street. Then he gave me my keys so I could walk to my car and get it myself. Not a big deal as I didn't really want to valet anyways, but he yelled at me Merry Christmas as if he was annoyed I didn't tip. I wasn't aware I needed to tip to park my own car and then go walk a ways to go get it. Average restaurant, but service probably influenced me : /

We were a party of 9 gathered to celebrate a friend's birthday during 5280 Restaurant Week. Overall an excellent experience. Our waiter was Branden who gave us just the right mix of being attentive and there when we needed him and yet did not intrude into our evening. My guest and I had the following from the 5280 menu: A very flavorful Walnut Mixed Greens salad with Candied Walnuts, Blue Cheese Crumbles, Balsamic Vinaigrette for me and she had the Clam Chowder which she described as very tasty. Our entres were a rich Stuffed Atlantic Salmon Crab, Shrimp and Brie Cheese for me and for her the Steak and Lobster Tender Beef Medallions and Steamed Lobster Tail rated as excellent by her. For dessert tried one of each of the offerings. The Chocolate Cup with Berries was excellent and I enjoyed the New York Cheesecake which was above average. Appetizer provided by our host included several rounds of the Calamari Fritto Misto. Unique as it included artichoke tempura and was not greasy so it was also above average. We chose the LaJoya Reserve cabernet sauvignon from Chile. It had wonderfully deep violet red color. Great bouquet with an aroma of black fruits reminiscent of blackberries and cream of cassis and a hint of cloves and nutmeg. Nice volume and an intense flavor. The dining room being entirely filled for 5280 Denver Restaurant Week was a bit loud. Overall a very enjoyable evening and a dining experience worth returning for.

We had a very nice dinner for Mr. Mixer's birthday last night at McCormick & Schmick's. To start with, if they know it's a special occasion, they will print out a special menu for the guest of honor. Mr. Mixer's said something like "Happy birthday, Mr. Mixer! We hope you have a great day". I like that. The food was decent. The carpaccio was good. Then I had the chop salad, which was overdressed but tasty, and Mr. Mixer had the lobster bisque, which he really liked. For dinner, I had a nicely cooked filet mignon, and Mr. Mixer had the Seafood Celebration, which was several kinds of fish, cooked over a plank with an Asian flair. He really liked it. My filet was pretty salty, but otherwise nice. The dinner was nice, but the server was a little flighty; forgetting to bring bread and silverware at the proper times. She totally forgot the demitasse spoon for the espresso. So, all in all, it was a decent meal.

Everything about our meal was sub-standard. The "jumbo" shrimp cocktail - which says it is enough for sharing, leading us to believe they would be nice size - were skimpy and not enough for one - and it was $15.99! Our other appetizer was the Lump Crab Tower - hardly any crab, just veggies. Entrees: I had the steak and lobster - where should I start? The beef tasted horrible, had a strange taste to it and it tasted old. The lobster tail was not cooked right and tasted really weird. My husband had the ultimate mixed grill - the only thing that tasted ok was the stuffed shrimp. Everything tasted old. It is a real shame, with the heritage of the restaurant.

Happy Hour menu is great for food, and a couple options for drinks. I've only been to this location for happy hours. The bar gets extremely crowded, so get there early. Parking can get tight. Staff is very friendly, but the computer is a pain in the butt for attempting to split checks if you have people coming and going - so ask for separate checks when you start - which they generally frown on and don't allow - gotta love it. The 3rd star is only for the HH prices, other than that, i'd rather go elsewhere.

Anniversary dinner. Nice atmosphere but they would not give us a booth even though there were some available when we came in. Yes we did have a reservation. Service was good. Apps, drinks, and food were ok but expensive although they did comp a desert. We have had better at less expensive locations. This place has gone down hill. Save your money. Seafood in Denver is always a risk.

The food here was pretty good. We had a large group and some meals may have got a four or five. Unfortunately I think you need to be consistent across the menu. The service was very slow. It actually didnt matter as we where busy talking but after waiting 45 mins for our main course some people got a little hungry. My biggest complaint and what would have stopped me giving it a 5 was the price. Pretty expensive for what we got. i.e 3.5 star food. It is also annoying when they add gratuity for large groups.

My first and only experience here was horrible. My boyfriend and I went for the tax day special that was advertised as entrees for $10.40 a piece. We thought it would be a great deal at a restaurant that he's liked for years. He's sober now, and the deal was only available in the bar area. So, we waited for a table to open rather than sit right in front of the alchohol display. This seemed to upset management, even though no other patrons were waiting for tables while we were. It wasn't like we were taking up a large portion of space. Anyway, once we were seated in a booth, it took close to a billion years for one of the several waitstaff to even approach our table. We looked at a menu that seemed to be recently printed and listed tax day entrees and had no mention of a required minimum drink expenditure. While the happy hour menu was also on our table, it was past happy hour time when we actually got around to ordering. I selected the catfish, but was told that it was being replaced with tuna. Breaded tuna sounded disgusting to me; so, I went for the beer battered cod and chips instead, while my boyfriend ordered the crabcake sandwich. Yes, I know fish and chips is greasy, but this was gross and the fries were sitting in pools of oil getting soggy. It probably didn't help that it took our food 40 minutes to get to us after ordering. I wouldn't say that the "entrees" were any better than a dive bar's food offerings. I didn't taste the crabcake, but my boyfriend, who has a better palate than I do, admitted to tasting little seafood in the entire thing. Then we were thoroughly disappointed with our bill which ended up being over $30 for the two tax day specials and the "HH drinks," which for us were $7 diet Cokes. After tip, spending $35 on two below-average meals with sodas is not my idea of tax relief or even a mildly amusing evening. I will not be back, and I have already rethought my idea of taking my family there when they visit.

This place is pretty good if you consider their rockin happy hour. Like mentioned before, they have super cheap good food during happy hour. Otherwise, the food is pretty expensive. They do a pretty good job plating the food though. It's pretty "fancy." The first time my husband and I went it was really good, but we went during happy hour. The second time we went, it was a group of five people. All of the plates had variable quality. The stuffed salmon was good. The scallops are good, but the rest of the orders were "so so." Also, I think the waiter got bored or something because he pretty much stopped coming by after we got our food. He never asked if my mother in law wanted another drink. Actually, he never asked any of us if we wanted a drink. He never brought back our receipt either. So pretty much, good expensive food, bad service.

I recently held my wedding at the Oxford hotel, where McCormick & Schmick's handles the catering and event planning. The wedding was wonderful (although a few simple requests were overlooked on the day of the wedding). Dealing with McCormick's after the wedding has been a nightmare! First they lost part of my cake topper. We even tried to collect all of our stuff the night of the wedding and it went missing before midnight. Then I found out they either ate or threw away half of my cake! The cake should have fed 150 people and my wedding only had 80 people. Where did it go? Now I find out that they didn't return part of the cake parts which means I don't get my deposit back from the bakery. I've been handed off to 3 different people and everyone has told me "well I wasn't there that night." The manager really needs take some responsibility. It's a beautiful venue and I thought planning the wedding was going to be the hard part. I wish I would have known I'd be dealing with this headache a month afterward.

My thoughts on McCormicks: - Fish is always fresh - Food is prepared in a consistent manner whether you dine in Chicago or Denver - Wait staff can be pushy about ordering wine - Decent steaks but I don't come here for the steaks - Table spacing is pretty tight in this establishment in DTC - Family friendly - Pricey I recently took my aunt and uncle for dinner here as they love seafood. Overall, I would say that they really enjoyed the Yellow Fin Tuna the best as it is served sashimi style. Maybe I've become jaded about dining out but their seafood is OK and nothing to shout about. Their theme is about freshness and i cannot argue about that.

I have to tell you, I was impressed all around. I had the scallop dish and it was the fanciest presentation I have ever had, and the flavor didn't disappoint! My husband is not a fan of seafood at all and even he liked it! And the bill was not that bad, we had drinks, soup and dessert and it was right under $100 before tip! We were seated in a private little nook like area and it was so much fun!

Normally I am much more forgiving about an expensed meal. The fish was drowned in butter, the veggies were swimming in oil. You're expected to box up your own left-overs. I was gonna give them to my dogs at home, but then decided against it--pounds of saturated fat are probably as bad for them as for me. The dirty silverware was placed back on the table and not replaced. I guess I expect a little more class for these prices. The huge appetizer was actually good with smoked trout and smoked mussels (yum!). However, the dish was allowed to sit empty on the table for way too long, dripping ice and chunks of seafood all over the tablecloth. The service did the best it could, but seemed under-staffed and was visibly stressed out. I don't blame them. I did appreciate the constant coffee refills, though the coffee itself was total garbage. OK, I am just bitching now--I know they don't specialize in coffee (thought they charge for it as if they do...).

I like the one downtown a little better. But this one has a really nice patio. I went here with a few people I work with. Be really careful if you order oysters. I'm sure they're great, but apparently 1 dozen of them for lunch costs $30. Oops. I know they print out their menu twice a day, but I would like to figure out what causes them to have Fish Tacos at this one, but not the one downtown. I would just keep eating at both of them until I figure it out, but I would go broke and get fat. Maybe I should just ask the waitress next time. I love their fish tacos, although they're a little greasy for fish tacos. It seems like I write that things are greasy in a lot of these reviews, but the truth is I don't care. I love greasy food. I love greasy fish tacos. I love their slightly greasy fish tacos. And don't forget the greyhounds. Fresh red grapefruit juice and vodka is awesome. The drinks are a little weak, but let's be realistic; you need to go back to work and you're drinking at lunch. At least all that fresh Vitamin C will help you fend off the scurvy. Again, I know this is supposed to be a nice place, but it's a little expensive even for lunch. So it's probably not even a once-a-week place. 4 people, one drink each, plus $30 in oysters, and it was close to $120 after the tip. For lunch. So, be sure and go back to work afterward, even if you are a little tipsy -- because you can't afford to be unemployed after a lunch like this.

Not good! Service was fine, patio was lovely but the food was average at best. We had oysters, shrimp cocktail, crab cakes, Mahi Mahi and a salad. Nothing was exceptional. The salad had limp greens with tons of green olives and a dressing that tasted like vinegar. The fish was ok but they served it with a sauce that had no flavor and was totally sweet. The shrimp looked like they were from Costco. The only high point was a cocktail I had with fresh watermellon in it, it was delish! It was overpriced and underwhelming. We will not go back!

Went there for our wedding anniversary. Greeted at the door, service was excellent, the waiter was very attentive, the appetizers and dinner were excellent. A upscale restaurant that is worth visiting on a special occasion.

Decent oysters and great Halibut/Crab Casserole. Decently priced wine, friendly waitstaff, good surroundings. For a LoDo restaurant, this is a solid selection with a diverse seafood menu that won't steer you wrong.

In the Denver suburbs, you get used to restuarants being part of a chain, but there are some chains that still manage to provide good food and a good experience. I'd include McCormick in that bunch. Located right in DTC, they have a solid menu, excellent service, a nice cadre of drinks, and, if lucky, a special dessert. It's a seafood focused restaurant, but they have a few land lubber dishes. They specialize in fresh stuff daily, especially oysters and shellfish (which I don't eat). The dishes are generally good, with an attempt at being "interesting," but do end up just being good. The service is generally very good, they keep you happy and are always there when needed. They have a nice drink bar and a great happy hour, with lots of fresh fruit in drinks and inexpensive happy hour snacks at the bar. They have "chocolate bag" for dessert, filled with like vanilla mousse and fresh berries - it's extremely good! Valet parking is available, reservations are a nice to have. Also, if you subscribe to their newsletter, they will send you good specials from time to time. Also, they have a "membership club" - if you like eating here, I'd advise joining. It pays for itself and they send you discounts ongoing. We've taken our kids and they've had fun and enjoyed going there, they do have crayons and a kids menu.

Definately some plusses and minuses on this place. Came here alone for a late dinner one night. The special of the night (that I wanted) was sold out. Asked the server what he would recommend (something similar to the special) and didn't really get a straight answer. Overall, the service was a bit slow-checking back to refill water after it had been empty a while; after I was done eating I had to wait even more to get my check. The scallops were good but just a bit overcooked-or maybe due to the slow service they spent too much time under a heat lamp?

Somewhat pricey, but wonderfully imaginative seafood dishes, & treat customers with respect. Valley service even at lunch hour.

solid four stars. we had a group of 6 here for a business dinner. very good wine selection, although you will pay the standard 2-3x markup rate for wines here. wide variety of seafood and some steak (for those surf and turfers). i tried the etouffe, which had andouille sausage, shrimp, chicken, in a tomato-type broth. it was good. others ordered alaskan salmon and bass, etc. everyone ordered a house type of salad, which was standard fare. the deserts were quite incredible and delicious. VERY good and decadent. well, as with all fine dining establishments, you'll pay for it. bill for 6 came out to over $400 with tip. not cheap. nice place overall -- would i go here on my own dime? it' s little too expensive for my blood, but, company business? sure!

M&S is a chain, but an excellent one. I like the food and the waitstaff here. Even those that don't go for seafod won't be disappointed. Their Caesar Salads are great, with or without chicken. It's a great place for lunch because they are surprisingly fast in getting your food out to you, yet I have never felt rushed. If you haven't been, check it out!

McCormick's is pricey seafood restaurant, located on the ground floor of the Pentera Plaza highrise (million dollar condos). But if you sit in the bar between 5 and 7 or after 10, their happy hour menu is so cheap you wonder how they stay in business! A half-pound burger with fries for $2.95! Seriously, we're talking real sirloin beef for a better price than McDonald's! Oh, and the to-die-for mango chipotle wings, only $1.95. The menu says they do require a $3.50 drink minimum to enjoy their happy hour menu, but they generally don't enforce the rule that strictly. Plus, you'll want to order a drink - their cocktails are amazing, and their bartenders are really fun and exceptionally knowledgeable about their drinks. The professional wait staff memorizes your order - they never take notes. Hands down, the best food for the money, anywhere in town.
