    I have been going to little ollies since they opened in the 90s. It has continued to be a family favorite for the majority of my life as my mother is a very picky eater, only likes Kung pao chicken from little ollies. It has been fun to watch the restaurant change and evolve to the restaurant it is today. My favorites are the egg drop soup (best in denver) lettuce cups, pork egg rolls, veggie lo mein, pork fried rice, general Taos chicken, and Mongolian beef. You cannot go wrong with any of those dishes. Sit on the "O bar" side and enjoy a more modern/bar feel or sit on the traditional side for a quieter lunch/dinner.

    So slow...... And I'm still annoyed by the so called host .... Moving on.... Been here 34 minutes have wine and the soup that is supposed to come with our food. Sad to say I will not come back. I can get treated like crap and wait forever at a much cheaper price. Tuna salad has zero taste, but looks pretty. The mango wasn't ripe . I'm not a fan at all The food might be better if ALL the chefs weren't sitting down eating in the back.

    This was my second time ordering takeout from Little Ollies, and I was very pleased yet again. My order was completed within the time frame they estimated (which was a quick 15 minutes), and when I picked it up I enjoyed looking around their open air atmosphere. Next time I will have to make a point of dining in. The order was filled exactly as requested, and the food was fantastic. I definitely recommend Little Ollie's!

    Haven't finished here in years always been known to me as a very light light they have a lot of steamed meals. Although a lot of things have changed the place got a lot bigger really nice inside

    Sub-par. The environment was stuffy and smelled of grease. The tables are sticky and the food... Well, sadly I can't say anything good about it. The salt and pepper ribs were horrible. Whoever is running the fryer is very heavy-handed and over fries. We also ordered honey chicken. Again, totally over fried and over-breaded. Most of the pieces had very little chicken. What a disappointment and a total waste of a great corner of cherry creek. To add insult to injury... The food is totally overpriced. Three people - $75 for lunch (w tip). Not gut wrenching if the food is good, but I unfortunately can't say that here. I won't be back.

    Spring Rolls = good (could use more/larger shrimp) Drinks = meh... weren't made correctly and then waitress retorted that is was 'watered down' and that's why it tasted like it did Shrimp & Scallops = pretty darn yummy!

    Wow, what a hidden gem. Was here for a business lunch and at first was questioning the decision to eat here but that worry melted away as soon as the menu hit the table. With a whole array of dishes available, I'd gather there is something here for everyone. I like tapas plates and picked a couple (peppers and cauliflower). They were delicious. Service was great and attentive. Parking looks to be tough but I think that's the case for any establishment in this area. This place is a must try.

    Mongolian beef, Orange Beef, General Tsaos all incredible! This is one of my favorite Chinese places around. If I lived closer I would get delivery at least 3 times a week.

    This is a great menu with attentive and fun staff. It has many options for GF peeps and we were with another couple (it's their fave place in Cherry Creek). We sampled their sesame chicken and it was tasty. My honey ordered the whole fish crispy ( think he should have ordered it grilled as the batter was heavy and a bit funky). He liked the taste but wasn't 100% in love with the dish. The beef in mine was tender and the hot and sour soup was delicious. I would recommend this spot, fun bar, great service and a fun night out.

    Went with a friend and ordered pork dumplings, lemon chicken and twice cooked pork. Dumplings were okay, not crispy though. Lemon chicken was delicious. Lightly battered and fried, still juicy and a light sauce. Twice cooked pork was dry (I guess that's what happens when you cook it twice!). Sent the pork back and got a rainbow roll instead which was tasty. Nice service and received no pushback on sending back my meal.

    I used to eat here a lot, and kinda stopped coming after a while. Not because of anything bad, just because there were other places to go. Since my last visit, they expanded into what used to be Noodles and Company next door to build a full bar and additional dining area with a nice patio. They also put together a second menu, which I didn't try, but it is definitely something I will sample on the next visit. We ordered the Singapore noodles, an old favorite, and the panang curry. Both were very good. The egg drop soup that came with it is also very good. The staff are all friendly and on top of their game. I dropped a fork when I unrolled my napkin, and a new one was brought to me immediately. Sitting on the patio, I didn't hear the music, but when I went to the bathroom, that's where I heard it first: the only downside to Little Ollie's. They were playing what sounded like some lame lounge version of Que Serra Serra, and it made me want to get back to the patio and out of hearing range of the speaker as quickly as possible. In the end, horrible song aside, I'll be back for sure.

    Came to Little Ollie's after doing some shopping at the Cherry Creek Mall. Convenient location near the mall. I believe they recently purchased the restaurant or bar next door to them so their menu has increased. It was a bit confusing since the waitress offered us two different menus. After looking over the menu, I decided on the Korean Noodle Bowl which is a Korean noodle dish with beef, chicken, shrimp, vegetables in a ginger broth. My fiance decided on the volcano shrimp with brown rice. Overall the food was good but not exceptional. The noodle dish was huge! I had leftovers for the next day. A lot of ingredients in the noodle soup but it was very salty. Seems like a lot of msg. The shrimp dish was okay. Nothing special. Not the best Asian food, but good enough for a quick dinner.

    Consistently good food and service here in a casual Cherry Creek atmosphere. Especially great if you can enjoy the patio. I've tried everything from drunken noodles, steam buns, Brussels sprouts, burger and fries, and have never been disappointed.

    I really love this place. There food is so fresh and light, not stodgy ol Chinese. The tai basil chicken is amazing, the won-ton soup is the best, sesame chicken is great and OMG the mushu chicken...I could go on and on. I've never had anything bad. Wait the sweet and sour chicken was overcooked once. Delivery is lightning fast and the open air dining in house in summer is really fun. This is a Denver oldie, but definitely a goodie, best Chinese food in town!!

    The sesame chicken here puts all others to shame, honestly. Crispy, meaty, flavorful. Sat at the O Bar patio at night and it was a wonderful evening with cocktails.

    Expected much more from this place. With all the reviews I read I truly didn't expect the food to taste like food-court Chinese food. Maybe we didn't order the right dishes...I really wanted to love this place. The atmosphere is great and the location is perfect. The food was simply horrible. We ordered lettuce wraps, ginger salad, panang curry, and basil chicken...all of which were disappointing. The drinks were great.

    The hot and sour soup is one of the best I've ever had and I order it everywhere it is available. The delivery driver was courteous and quick and the ingredients were fresh and delicious. We will definitely try more of this menu!

    My family of five arrived for the 7:00 reservation for nine. We were seated and served water. The remainder arrived shortly thereafter. I was catching up with my girlfriend and finally met her spouse of six years. She felt the waitress was a bit miffed that we were not ready to order. We opted to do family style, pass the plate. We ordered edamame, veggie & pork dumplings, bbq rib tips & rock shrimp tempura and scallop on the shell just to start. Pass the plate. The entrees of chicken and broccolli, peking duck, shrimp fried rice and Thai basil chicken. The aromas danced to our nostrils. All of the above tasted likr a piece of heaven. The birthday girl had a piece of chocolate ganache cheesecake. There was no happy birthday, not even a candle of acknowledgment. Disappointed with the service, loved the food.

    Best Chinese restaurant in Denver...Cherry Creek insiders best kept secret. Healthy, no MSG, lots of gluten free, vegetarian options. The staff is awesome. I always feel great after I eat at Little Ollie's. The ambiance is welcoming and warm. Also, check out their new bar and menu Obar it's AWESOME!

    Fun dinner with the Schrecklet before she heads off to college. Our waitress was outstanding...fun and helpful (the girl with the Hungarian tattoo) This is our favorite place for Sesame Chicken. The Schrecklet had us try the Buddah Buttons after dinner....WILD!! Gotta ask for them with lemonade after dinner ----mouth explosion.

    I've been trying to find consistently delicious Chinese food in Denver for years and I've finally found it! Little Ollie's is amazing. Everything I've had has been great, but I especially liked both the bamboo steamed dishes and the sesame chicken which, while fried, isn't incredibly greasy like it is elsewhere. The vegetables are fresh and the quality of the meat is far superior than any other Chinese food I've had in Denver, as well! I've waited anywhere from 20-45 minutes for delivery, but never more, and they've never told me it would be delivered before it actually was. The staff is kind and helpful and the quality and quantity for the price can't be beat.

    Great Chinese food. While living in Portland, OR, I was disappointed that there weren't any good Chinese restaurants to be found. Our movers recommended Little Ollie's to us and it did not disappoint. It's not like one of those take out places where everything tastes the same. Instead, each dish has its own distinct flavor. I love that they highlight gluten-free options as well. Take out service is wonderful. They're always on time and have never messed up an order.

    Decent food, a nice selection for families with lots of different preferences. The options are nice, but could use a little more bang for the buck they are asking for. The duck was well-cooked, though! good job on that. The staff is good, they don't bother too frequently, have good recommendations, and are fast to check in, but lacked in any sort of character or personality other than someone doing a great job at staying focused on their job. Good job, but not a particularly lively atmosphere-- a fancier casual just on Cherry Creek, so what you would expect for class and types of people you'd see visiting the restaurant.

    Prior to yesterday's visit, I would have rated Little Ollie's a solid four stars. I took my many positive experiences over the years into consideration and compromised on three. Yesterday was not so good (and deserved two stars) and here's why: As I mentioned in the tip I left, it seemed the management and servers decided to wait until I was at the counter placing my to-go order to hash out how they would divvy up the tables for the night. Not only were they talking over me as one very kind and polite young lady took my order, they placed the grid showing the table layout on the tiny counter, pushing the receipt I was attempting to sign, to the side. I have been told I have a menacing stare. I attempted to use it on them hoping they'd get the hint. Either it's not as effective as I've been told or they weren't the least bit concerned. Servers and owner continued to loudly hash it out as if their co-worker wasn't with a customer. Moving on to the more important stuff, I ordered a combo fried rice and Yushan Eggplant. Due to a food allergy, I specifically asked that they don't add any green onions/scallions to the fried rice. The receipt even reflected this. Of course, when I made it home, there were green onions galore! The Yushan Eggplant had good flavor but it was ridiculously oily. I've never experienced anything quite like that. It was as if they poured another half cup of oil over the dish after it was prepared. Blech! I know every restaurant has its off days but this was a real disappointment! I went during the Super Bowl so they weren't crowded at all. With a virtually empty restaurant, it should have been easy to get the order correct and take the back office conversation where it belongs. As I said the only saving grace was the one person who took my order - very pleasant and friendly. I'm not going to say I won't be back BUT I will look around for other options first.

    Excellent as always! We are a sponsor of the Cherry Creek Arts Festival, and each year we make it a point to take our group out to dinner at Little Ollie's. I love the Sesame Chicken, it's my absolute favorite. However, I always have a tough time deciding between the Sesame Chicken and the Shanghai Shrimp. The food is always fresh and served piping hot. When in Cherry Creek, this is my favorite place to eat!

    My boyfriend and I came here about a year ago for a romantic dinner, and it's become my favorite chinese place in Denver. My boyfriend suggested I try the mu shu, but since I'd never had mu shu, and cabbage isn't my favorite, I was reluctant to try it. To this day it is literally the best meal I've ever eaten. We've gone back on multiple occasions, including for my birthday dinner last year. I moved to Los Angeles six months ago, and since I'm back in town for Thanksgiving, I made it a goal to make to back to Little Ollie's just for the mu shu beef. Still amazing. I've also tried some other items from the menu, unfortunately I cannot remember the official names, but there was a wonton type soup, potstickers, and a pork dumpling, I believe. They were all very good as well. The service wasn't amazing, but certainly wasn't terrible. The servers sometimes seemed somewhat oblivious, but nothing a little persistence wouldn't change. If someone asked me what my top restaurants in Denver are, Little Ollie's would be in the top three for sure.

    Little Ollie's is A-OK for me. I wish I could give it 3 1/2 stars. I came in for lunch last week with three friends and the food was all around good, the service was good, and the overall experience was good. I emphasize good because it wasn't great or amazing, or I'll be talking about my dining experience here with friends later this week...BUT it was a very satisfying meal. The egg drop soup was great! Hit the spot for a chilly, snowy afternoon. I had the honey style shrimp lunch with brown rice, veggies, and an egg roll. The shrimp were nice and plump. The brown rice was okay, I prefer it stickier. The egg roll was yummy, but nothing special. This is definitely a solid lunch spot in Cherry Creek for a quick business lunch or before venturing out to do some shopping. Side note, parking was a pain. Drove around for 20 minutes to find a meter.

    I haven't been here since their renovation. We were a large group and very much enjoyed our service and the food! We had multiple shared orders, so I was able to try many dishes. The Pad Thai, Thai Basil Shrimp and Shanghai Shrimp were standouts. It's a place that you could enjoy with friends or family.

    I have never reviewed Little Ollie's because I wanted to give it a fair try before I did. I don't typically do that, but years ago it was one of my favorites. I went away for 10 years, and have eaten take out a handful of times since my return. It's been just okay, and my main complaint has been lack of flavor. Tonight I gave it another try and I have to say, it is still "meh". I ordered delivery, which might be the problem (I will most likely try it again dining in because my friends love it). I had an order of steamed Vietnamese shrimp roll, which were nothing special. I guess it's kind of hard to put any kind of twist on them, but the rice paper wrapping fell apart in my hands, and one of the pleasures is dipping in the peanut sauce, which I couldn't do because it was a hot mess. The sauce itself had an off taste, like the oil of the peanut butter had risen to the top. For an entree I had the twice cooked pork, which was bland because it had way too much cabbage and only a piece of pork about every 10th mouthful (yes, I eat that much). I get that they don't want to add flavor with oils, but how about some spices? Very disappointing, and there is a way better option just up the street. I will say that the service is great. My order was taken politely without any restaurant noise in the background, and the delivery was faster than the 45 minutes.

    I ate here for a business lunch last week. I'll just start with the first thing that bothers me about this place: the bathroom. Holy cow, when was the last time the floor was mopped? It had to be one of the dirtiest bathroom floors I've seen in a while. My feet did stick to the floor, and it looked like it had been a long, long while since soap had set foot in that bathroom. Maybe they just need to redo the tile, whatever it is, they need to do it, because it was disgusting. I had the pad Thai, and it was the strangest pad Thai I have ever had. Now, I'm going to say I am a connoisseur, but I don't think pad Thai is suppose to be like soup. The sauce was very runny and very sweet. If I had known, I wouldn't have had the mild, I would have spiced it up a bit. My coworker had a spicier version and said she loved hers but for me, it was just weird. Service wasn't bad, portions are okay, but there are way better places than this to eat.

    Could have been 4 stars but this place really was just above average to me. Got the filet special over potatoes and asparagus. Asked for medium rare and it was closer to medium well. The wasabi potatoes didn't really have much wasabi and I was really looking forward to the soy glaze which ended up being non-existent. All in all my filet meal was quite good just not what I wanted in a meal that night (Asian) and the way the waiter sold it made me believe it was. I ended up making due by stealing white rice and putting soy sauce on it to pare with my bites of steak. Fiancé got General Tao's which was really delicious and "healthy" tasting - not overly breaded and the sauce was perfect. Service was slow and a bit awkward but our waiter was nice enough, just seemed a bit uncomfortable. Oh and if you are ordering two things from different kitchens be aware that they have not figured out how to bring all the food out at once yet. Enjoy.

    Wow. I should have known that a Chinese food place in Cherry Creek would be expensive, but 2 "entrees" (bamboo steamed veggies w/ shrimp and general tao chicken) and 2 not great seasonal beers were $50. The bamboo veggies with shrimp were good, but really, they are just steamed veggies. The general tao's had a chili pepper next to it on the menu, which denoted that it was spicy, however, i am a wimp when it comes to heat and this had absolutely none. To finish the meal, we were given the worst fortune cookies I have ever consumed. We should have just went to Ming's instead...

    I eat here frequently since I work in the neighborhood. Often I do take-out. My favorite dishes are Hong Kong noodles and their lettuce wraps. Both are delicious. One problem, the portion sizes in take-out are very inconsistent. Generous one time, skimpy the next. Overall this is a great place to eat.

    One thing that always attracts me to this place is the somewhat crazy name. Little Ollie's. There's no one named "Ollie" or even"Oliver" working there. I asked to be sure. The sole manager is a woman and I don't remember her name but I know it wasn't Ollie. I've visited the Cherry Creek area a few times over the past two years and I never leave without stopping by here. The menu is fairly diverse and everything I've tried here is always been well-prepared. One exception is the sweet & sour chicken which was a little over fried. But it was still good. The atmosphere is nice, casual but with a slight air of formality. Like closer to a PF Chang's but not all the way. There's plenty of table seating with nice views of the Cherry Creek pedestrian area - perfect for people watching. There is also a bar area if you'd like to sit there. The staff is always friendly, upbeat, and attentive. Which is somewhat surprising because they get blasted regularly by the owner. I'm serious. She berates the staff, almost one-by-one, right in front of the customers. After one of these short outbursts, I waited until the owner was a safe distance away and asked my server, "Does she always go off in front of customers?" "Yes," was the reply. "And we tell her all the time how unprofessional it is." It didn't seem to bother the staff at all. I think they've just gotten used to it and pretty much tune her out now. So if you can deal with the occasional managerial flare-up, the menu and staff make Little Ollie's a great place to hang out.

    Seriously!!!!!!!! A worm was in my edamame!!!!! And they didn't even discount, comp, or take it off our bill! The hot and sour soup sucked!!!! Little Ollies is crap-o-la!!!!!!! Stay away from there unless u like wormy food!!!!

    This is honestly my new favorite food and bar in all Oc Colorado!! The new O bar has the best food: ribs that fall off the bone, hanger steak that is to die for and Buddha belly drinks that are unbelievable. But the real pleasure is the staff! Lawrence the GM and Charlie the owner treat everyone like a VIP!! The waitresses are not only beautiful but they are so polite, sweet and serve food promptly! This is a place for dates, family or business meetings. And a great happy hour. This is a must go!!

    Hmmm... it's another one of these crazy places that actually seems like they want customers to come back... I dined here with my theater group before seeing a show across the street - we had a wonderful experience. Drinks were always full, orders were taken quickly, and all 13 of us were served within a few minutes of each other. The staff was also very much on top of things - really great. The food was excellent - menu entrees are "family style," so you could order one for every two or three people and be good - if you can, try a few things to have some variety. The quality high overall. Portion size for the specials wasn't as huge, but was extremely good and beautifully presented (see the pictures I included). I will definitely, DEFINITELY be back!

    Little Ollie's was a great place to meet up. The bar part of the restaurant was hoppin' and full of life. It was beautiful outside so the open seating was packed. We sat on the opposite end of the restaurant where the wall can be raised so your dining experience is half inside, half outside. No wait on this past weekend evening, but the place was full. As for the food, mine was ok. They seem peanut-happy with way too many on the plate but overall decent meal. It is personal preference that I don't care much for celery and snap peas in my spicy shrimp dishes as much as I would have preferred some traditional carrots and broccoli thrown in, but just their style. I'd come back for the atmosphere with a group so I can try a variety of options or sit at the bar to try the interesting bar menu.

    The food was ok but I went hungry and left hungry. Went with three friends for lunch. They decided to do 4 appetizers. Our waitress was somewhere else or so it seemed. I think a really good waitress would have said something about the appetizers being for two and maybe order more of the same or something else. My friend asked for coke with extra ice and got a coke with no ice. Really! I wish I would have ordered veggies, tofu, and brown rice. Not too excited about going back there to have this dish. Guess I will try somewhere else for what I really wanted.

    Lil' Ollie's has been there on the corner of 3rd and Josephine for a long long time. The place is frequented by chi-chi Cherry Geekers and folks of the wealthy / upper middle class persuasion, many of whom have had lots of work done, but may not have actually worked much. Those petty, small minded and mean-spirited things aside, Little Ollies is well worth a visit: Not your skinny strips of meat and chopped up unidentifiable veggies swimming in an over-sweetened sauce kinda Chinese restaurant. This place is about the fresh taste of good quality ingredients, artfully arranged and invitingly served. Can't get me enough of their shrimp with freshly shredded ginger and wild onion put into an egg compote-like mixture and served over a starburst of bok choy. And the twice cooked pork we had today was better than any I've ever had anywhere: Hefty chunks of wonderfully flavorful barbacued pork interspersed with tasty slices of Chinese cabbage and peppers, delicately touched by a mild garlic brown gravy. Wow and a half! Little Ollies is not like the other Chinese restaurants I usually go to. It verges on fine dining and is worth the 25% extra you're going to pay for the experience.

    Why is this place always packed at lunch time when I walk by? I've been several times, and I don't get the appeal. It's okay...but kind of reminds me of an expensive, sit-down version of Panda Express! There are tons of great Chinese options in Denver; they just don't have the decor and location of Little Ollie's.

    BAD SERVICE! We hoped to eat at Ollies on a early Sunday evening and were very disappointed. Upon arrival approximately 5:30, the hostess sat us with menus. The restaurant was slow yet had many servers on the floor. We waited, waited and waited for at least 15 minutes. We had 4 different servers walk by our table and not one of them asked if were were helped or wanting to order. After making eye contact with almost every employee, we decided to leave! To make matters worse, as we were walking out, the same hostess that sat us said, "Thank you! Come again!"

    Amazingly poor experience tonight. We were sat quickly, but from then on it was downhill. We waited a while but eventuslly had to ask for a server. She was abrupt and unhelpful and took our order with a minimum of courtesy. We ordered soups and dinners. A while later our dinners were served. But where were the soups? We sent the dinners back and asked for our soups first. The server brought them out without a word to us. The wonton soup was hilarious. At $3.50 I would have expected a little more than a single wonton smaller than a quarter with a mushroom split in two and a slice of carrot. So a while later the dinners were brought out, tepid at best. And with their heat gone, they tasted quite mediocre. We tried the thai basil chicken and the sesame chicken and meh. A further service request was forgotten, the tea was finished and not replenished, and so on. It feels like they're coasting. We paid with a gift certificate which is fortunate because we'll never be back.

    Last year, our Mu shu pancakes were moldy on a delivery order and they credited us that dish for our next order. **ahem** Over the years the quality, attentiveness, and *especially* the customer service has taken a plunge. I've been here for expensive wedding showers, ordered take-out, dined in, and ordered delivery countless times over the years. They used to be pretty good! Prices were always high but it's cherry creek and they had good ingredients. My family knew the original owner for years. They have other Chinese restaurants that are spectacular (Jing in Greenwood Village, I give it 5 stars for food). The problem is in the low quality of food ingredients (skimpy lame veggies and dry stringy chicken in general tao's), lack of attention to modified dishes, and rudeness from the manager when our order was completely wrong. Here's the short version: ordered Singapore noodles with only 3 vegetables in it (mushrooms, bamboo, & bok choy. No meat.) It arrived with broccoli, carrots, and snap peas. We called and asked to have it corrected and redelivered. They retook the order and said they have no bamboo shoots. I'm shocked since mostly Asian restaurants use that ingredient and it's canned! But more importantly, why didn't they tell us this when we first ordered? Then the manager said rudely that it'll take a long time and they're busy. Bottom line is none of us will be dining here anymore. It's just not worth the aggravation and I'd rather give my money to businesses that try to improve their errors and appreciate customer loyalty.

    Go for the lunch specials. I went here on a lunch date in the spring, really enjoyed the place. The food was good and there was a lot for the price (again...lunch specials!). The staff was nice and courteous, and the waiter was good too. They have huge windows all along that provide a great spot to sit, especially in spring/fall. Makes for some excellent people watching. If you're looking for a good lunch at a reasonable price in the Cherry Creek area, this is a very safe bet.

    Not exactly sure what happened to this place. I thought the food was good at one point. They put sugar in EVERYTHING. it's very pricey too. I'd recommend the Emprial or the Palace Chinese if you want good food.

    I love their wonton soup. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Seriously the best soup I've had in a while. Delivery is my new favorite aspect of Little Ollie's. The fact that I'm out near Lowry and they deliver to me is amazing. Tonight was quick, and delicious as usual. The soup was amazing, we also ordered lo mein which was awesome, crab rangoon and mushu pork. Everything was delicious and I only wish I had a toaster oven to reheat the rangoons tomorrow for lunch. Hooray for finding at least one place that offers great delivery because that is certainly one thing I miss about Chicago!

    Haven't been here in years....Still as good as it was way back when it first opened. Great location in Cherry Creek. Little Ollie's isn't the best I've had, but it's solid. There food could have more flavor and spice in my opinion. The rock shrimp was a little bland, Thai Basil chicken wasn't my favorite.... There house hot sake was very good. Edamame was good, but let's face it, that's hard to screw up. Like another Yelper said, it does get cold in the restaurant because they have so many floor to ceiling windows, so dress warm or ask for a table in the center of the restaurant rather than along the perimeter.

    This review is for takout. We ordered Sesame Beef, Yushan Chicken, and a crispy tuna roll. My husband orders the sesame beef and is a repeat customer. It is not a light dish by any means, but flavorful without being overly salty. Our babysitter likes the Yushan chicken and I dig the tuna roll. Chinese food is notoriously caloric, but Ollie's at least makes it worth the splurge.

    My wife and I thought of Little Ollie's as our "fancy" Chinese restaurant; the place we'd take out of towners. The food was always outstanding, with fresh and distinct flavors. We went for lunch this past weekend and I don't know what's happened there, but it has gone W A Y downhill. The service was lousy, the food came out in dribs and drabs so we all ate separately. Some of the food was room temp at best and it was all bland. Such a shame.

    I used to love this place when it was on - crud - what street was that? St. Paul - I think that's right. But it's not as good anymore for some reason. I don't know if the menu has changed or the cook or the ingredients. Couldn't tell ya. They do have a couple things I do really like - the Yushan Chicken and the Kung Pao Chicken. I normally love Sesame Tofu - but it is just plain awful here. The sauce tastes like ketchup to me. And like many others have said, it's over priced - but that's Cherry Creek for you. The service has always been good - friendly hosts and wait staff and they don't hover which I LOVE. I hate hovering wait staff and you won't find that here. Still - not a bad place, just not the best in town in my opinion.

    first and last experience. the ingredients are decent quality, but the food has a weird whang to it (yeah, i know, technical term). and while the menu says two shanghai rolls are included in an order, their computer system apparently only addresses one roll per order unless they do some kind of deliberate workaround (which, in my case, they apparently "forgot" to do). sixty dollars' worth of food in my order and they're shorting me eggrolls? i don't think they realize that this is a value economy - and it hardly needs to be said that this isn't a good way to impress a new customer. i won't be back.

    I have problems with P.F. Chang's and Little Ollie's and the like. You know they are not authentic Chinese by their clean tabletops, perfect English communication skills, and General Tsao's Chicken on the menu (no one in China knows who that dude is). That being said, I do think Little Ollie's is a fun place to meet with friends for a drink or quick meal after work. The food is decent, but not worth paying anything over the price of Chinese take-out. If you are the type to enjoy overpaying for upscale ambiance and a ficticious army general's food, then this place is for you! 1 star off: over-priced for quality 1 star off: having General Tsao's Chicken on the menu 1 star off: no pandas or bamboos or anything resembling a Chinese restaurant

    I gave this place 4 stars because of their exceptional and fast service. However, they didn't offer a wide menu and their prices were a tad bit high. We ordered two lunch specials (sweet sour chicken), a fountain drink, three small appetizers (steamed chicken dumplings, crab cheese wontons, shrimp shiumai), and one hot tea. The bill was $47.00 without tip.. The chicken dumplings and crab cheese wontons were phenomenal, but the shiumai tasted like dirt. The sweet and sour sauce for the chicken was delicious, but the chicken itself was dried out and hard in the middle. Nothing special really. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but I'd recommend just sticking with appetizers.

    Went to Little Ollie's for the first time last night (and the last). We were seated promptly as we had made a prior reservation for a party of 6. My wife and I are visiting from Chicago and were having dinner with some Coloradan friends who recommended the place. Everything started off fine with pleasantries from our server and small plates and drinks being served. We asked that the bill be separated in 3 for each couple to eliminate any confusion at the end of our meal, which our server happily obliged to do. The ambience was nice and we were really looking forward to a great meal with friends. Then it went downhill. Upon ordering our meal and being asked if we'd prefer chopsticks (which we did), they were never delivered to our table. It took about 25 minutes for our meal to be served, which was a bit long, but not too excessive. The server dropped off 4 out of 6 entrees. We, with our plates, obviously waited for the server to return with the remaining two entrees. She did come back about 10 minutes later to ask "How was everybody's first bite?" Dumbfounded, we simply replied that we hadn't tried our meals yet as we are still waiting on two more. She apparently didn't believe she had made a mistake as she left our table and returned with the order she jotted down. She continued to recite the order she took and sure enough, apologized and went back to the kitchen to retrieve the remaining two entrees. So, we waited... and waited... and waited some more. About 15-20 minutes later she returned with our friend's plates. At no time did our server return to explain the situation at all. So at this point, 4 out of the 6 meals were less than warm. The 4 of us who had waited for the other 2 meals to be served scarfed down our chilled entrees while eyeballing the steam coming from our friend's plates. Nonetheless, we finished our meals and were satisfied with the taste while trying not to think about the temperature. Then, to top it off, at the end of my meal I went to open my fortune cookie, and low and behold, there was no fortune in it. That was just par for the course for Little Ollie's, I guess. I understand that this wasn't necessarily the restaurant's fault and our table got a good laugh out of this, at least. Then, when our bills were dropped off to each couple, I jokingly stated "their meal is free, right?" referring to the couple who had to wait almost an hour to be served. The server responded with a slight giggle and nothing more. No comped drinks... apps... nothing. Lastly, upon examining our bill, we found that the server had only divided our bill in two, rather than three as we had requested at the beginning of our meal. This just made for more unnecessary confusion. Anyway, this was my experience at Little Ollie's and ultimately my last and only experience. Yes, we should have alerted the manager to our experience, but we decided to let it go at the time. But after further deliberation, I felt the need to report this on Yelp, at the very least, to inform fellow Yelpers. I sincerely hope these servers get the necessary training to right any wrongs in the future as the food here deserves the respect.

    I first went to Little Ollie's over 13 years years ago and to this day still get excited whenever I get to go there. The service has always been spot on and their vegan options are endless. I always get the General Tso's tofu which isn't on the menu (and if vegan make sure you let them know a sometime the tofu can be covered in egg wash). The Kung Pao tofu is also amazing. And now they have edaname! Lunch or dinner, check it out. You won't be disappointed.

    I had Little Ollies yesterday with a friend and past colleague. The joy for me, is that it is close to my residence and I was working from home that day and the crowd is always something to enjoy.. As mentioned by many others, the food is OK. Taking into consideration of the location (Cherry Creek), prices are fairly comparable to other locations in the area. The Good: the service, atmosphere, the fact they serve brown rice and the food appears to be "lite" are good for the health conscience.. The bad: Not enough spice... The food just doesn't "wow" me... Overall, my dining experience for lunch was nice. Maybe that had something to with the company, but either way I enjoyed it. The unfortunate part is that this is not a place that "wows" me enough to make it a eatery I would frequent for the cuisine.

    Ate lunch at Little Ollie's again today and the service, once again, was rude and unresponsive. COME ON! Is it too much to ask for a bit of welcoming attitude, a refill on iced tea, and a knife to cut your shrimp, from your server? Well, at Little Ollie's, I guess, it is. When you're "successful" in Cherry Creek for as many years at Little Ollie's has been, I guess you can have rude servers. Good to know.

    The edamame is somewhat salty but rather good. While the Ahi Mango Salad was decent I wouldn't value it at $14 dollars. As well my other companion ordered the house salad which is apparently the same exact meal as the Ahi Mango Salad but $7 dollars cheaper without Tuna.

    Food is always excellent with many tasty dishes yet I always find myself ordering the General Tao's Chicken with the lettuce wraps. The little red peppers in the General Tao's can be deceiving so don't be surprised when you get a hot one...a little heat is good sometimes!

    Been coming here for a years, but today is likely to change that. We went for a late lunch and it wasn't very busy. Service was slow and the food was not up to par, Sesame Chicken was chewy and seemed dry and tough. Soup dish was the size of a tea cup I don't know why restaurants have gotten so so skimpy with there soup potions. We reported this to the waitress but no one from management talked with us. I guess they think there're to big to fail. Go two miles west and a mile south to Imperial on Broadway, the food is outstanding and the service is even better!

    Look this place is OK, but just OK. We live fairly close by and frequently get delivery from them. I start by saying they are a little over priced but still pretty reasonable. I'd chalk it up to their location. It's pretty standard Chinese food. Their menu isn't very large but whats on there seems to make up for it. Off the top of my head I really love their cold sesame noodles and their hot and sour soup. If you go there be sure to try one of those.

    I was here recently on a Sunday afternoon with a friend. We split an entree, Pad Thai and also a spicy shrimp deep fried appetizer (I can't remember its name but it was fantastic ) along with tea and hot and sour soup. Lots of good food. Friendly staff and Great service. I'd give it a five but parking sucks. I ended up parking in the garage behind the restaurant for 3.50 for a couple of hours on a Sunday. But to me it's worth the trip and I'll go again when I'm in the area.

    I really enjoyed the patio like atmosphere they create with their windows that lift a lot like garage doors. Their food is standard Chinese food that you can get anywhere. I did find out that they do have brown rice! I was bummed though cause I found out after my dish was already on the table with white rice. I do look forward to the chicken corn egg drop soup. It's good. I like the tiny change in an already tasty soup. I don't look forward to the bill. I know they have to charge us that cause their rent is more than our neighborhood Chinese restaurant's rent is, but YIKES! I went for lunch thinking it would be more tolerable. It isn't. Lunch specials are all $9.99. I did really enjoy the people watching and how when my friend arrived how she climbed through the window instead of using the door. So punk rock...yeah fight the power! You should have seen the stares. I was so proud! = D

    I've been going to Little Ollie's for years since I worked in Cherry Creek, but my husband had never been there, so I took him for a late lunch last week. I just love the fresh crispy veggies that come with the meat dishes. Order the spicy food, though, or it might be too bland. But I like the place -- it's a Denver landmark.

    The biggest complaint I hear about this place from other people is that it's expensive. It is. Plan on spending $30 per person. I finally ordered the crispy sea bass, which I think was the most expensive thing on the menu. It was pretty good though. It's a half of a Sea Bass with the skin on, crispy, as advertised, and served with I think the same sauce as the volcano shrimp, plus fresh stir-fried vegetables. This place serves vegetables with everything which I like. They also have extremely cool space, which is a patio with garage doors that swing open and it's only separated from the main dining area by panels so it's kind of like you're sitting outside but you're not. That's how they do things in the Far East. The service has always been great and even though it's a nice place you can dress pretty casual and they don't stare at you like you just crawled out of a dumpster. I also don't think I've ever had to wait for a table, even on the weekends but I usually go kind of early, 5 PM or earlier.

    Visited Little Ollie's twice now (roughly 12 months apart). Both times the food has been very good. Most dinner entrees are about $15 - there's no way it's $30/person as another reviewer claims. It's not cheap but the preparation and quality is a cut above standard Chinese restaurant fare. The vegetables are exceptionally fresh. The place has a trendy vibe but that's balanced out with a cozy neighborhood vibe. On my first visit no complaints - great food and service. The second visit (tonight) the food was still very good but our server let us down - he took 15+ minutes to ask how our entrees were, didn't offer to refill our tea, took our remaining portions without asking if we wanted to take any home and didn't ask us about dessert. At least the food was very quick. Recommend the Shanghai Duck (under Specialties) and the Yushan Chicken.

    My wife are new to Denver and have been looking for a good local Asian restaurant. We had been by Little Ollie's a few times and decided to give it a shot. We were both pleasantly surprised. It had a comfortable atmosphere and the wait staff was quick and attentive. We ordered the pan fried dumplings which were very tasty and then I had the seasme chicken, which I can safely say was the best I have had anywhere so far. We really enjoyed our meal and will be back. Its a little pricier than a typical Asian carry out place and but not as pricey as a very high end establishment. The ingredients were higher quality and it showed in the flavor of the meal.

    Best Chinese in Denver! I've been disappointed at the Asian restaurants i've tried thus far, and then a friend took us to Little Ollie's. The fish in miso sauce was phenomenal! Light and taste, not heavy and greasy. And the wines-by-the-glass were well-chosen to complement the spices they used in many of their sauces. Loved the "patio" seating, although Josephine is a noisy street. Service was adequate. All in all, an excellent experience, we'll be back!

    Little Ollie's represents a trendy version of the typical neighborhood Chinese places that dot the city. Dishes are better presented, and the ambience is a definite step up, but there is not a significant difference in the food itself.     Imagine a trendy over-priced Asian style bistro in the middle of Cherry Creek--you can stop imagining now, there is such a place and it's called Little Ollies in case you haven't been there. I've been going to Little Ollies before they converted the outdoor patio as an indoor expansion (ever wonder why the "inside" seems separated from the "outside," that is why). The new maitre'd will often give my father a puzzled look when he requests eating inside, he means the center area of the restaurant. The two stars exactly means my sentiment regarding Little Ollies, "Meh, I've had better." As another yelper (Lori M.) pointed out, the real deal for Chinese is on Federal: Super Star Asian, Star Kitchen, and Chopsticks China Bistro to name a few. If I'm paying and I have a craving for Chinese, I'd much rather go to one of those three and get a proper Chinese dinner than something like Little Ollies, P.F. Changs, or your run of the mill take-out General Tao's chicken Chinese food in a suburban strip mall. Although to be fair, it would be more apt to characterize Little Ollies as Asian inspired than just Chinese cuisine. By all means, I'll go to Little Ollies if someone else is buying. The ingredients are fresh: crisp vegetables and high quality meats and seafood. The preparation however is often of utmost disappointment. Case and point are the lemon chicken and sweet and sour chicken. Both are prepared quite similarly, both have the fried chicken pieces, side of broccoli and carrots--only difference is the bowl on top the end of the plate has a different sauce, lemon or sweet and sour for each respective dish. Essentially overpriced chicken McNuggets (albeit better quality meat) with a side of sweet and sour dipping sauce and a healthy side of veggies. The same thing goes with most of the other dishes, there is a good sized serving of meat in the middle with a couple of broccoli and carrots on the side, another example being the sesame chicken, which has the sauce stir fried with the dish (no sauce in a bowl) but I think is still too sweet. Indeed, most of the dishes there are drowning in quasi Chinese style sauces. Compare this to the Chongquing chicken and three cups chicken at Chopstick's China Bistro, where the taste is properly fused in the meat using subtle sauces and the aroma of herbs, spices, and chilies. Some of the entrees at Ollies are also quite dry, like the Singapore rice noodles and their pitiful excuse for duck. The duck was dry as a bone and served with a syrupy spicy sauce, which runs you about $15. I could get a proper 1/4th duck at Super Star Asian for roughly $6, which is juicier, more tender, meatier, and served with a sweet red bean paste/sauce that is not only to die for but finely compliments the light soy sauce the duck was cooked with. I now have a craving for 1/4th duck. However, it's not all bad, you just need to know what to get as far as the food goes. The Korean noodle bowl and Thai basil chicken are among my favorite entrees. Granted, the Thai basil chicken is pseudo-Thai, it is still pretty tasty, and the Korean noodle bowl is packed with great spicy flavors from the chilies and ginger saturating the broth with flavor and the broth flavoring the noodles, veggies and meats. The service is good as well; you're greeted by a cordial maitre'd and the servers are quick to take your order and see how everything is and the bus boy is quick in clearing finished plates and refilling waters. Granted, the location has absolutely everything to do with their style of food. Little Ollies is a scenesters restaurant for 30 something professionals in the Cherry Creek area to take out a date, a client, or friends and family who are in town. Flaming pig intestines is probably best restricted on the menus of restaurants in the Federal and Alameda parts of town. Granted, I feel Little Ollies could do a better job of doing neuveau American style Chinese food. Chicken tenders with a cup of lemon sauce on the side for $12 is pitiful.

    upside... great fresh food, and nice atmosphere. downside... don't do delivery or take out. It loses its flavor, crispy turns soggy, and takes way too long. The prices are ridiculous. $40 for take out for two... insane! "Hey can you add some broccoli to the kung pao?" "sure no problem, that will be an extra $5" You can find fresh chinese food all around denver, and spend half. But if you want a nice date atmosphere in cherry creek, suck up the over-billing, have a few drinks, and just order from somewhere else next time.

    Wow I am honestly surprised at the number of 3 star reviews. Far be it form me to critique the pallets of other yelpers, but this place is a definite 5 star in my book. The food is excellent Chinese fare, and less greasy and with more subtle flavors than your average Chinese Restaurant. The key I think is the variety of delicious sauces. A good meal is all well and good but what really puts this place over the top for me is the large paneled windows that are opened in the summer to give the restaurant a cool, open air feeling. Don't come expecting exotic Asian delights, but if your looking for good twists on traditional Chinese favorites in a nice setting, this place is for you.

    Unlike most cheap Chinese restaurants, not everything tastes the same here. Instead you get fresh ingredients, lots of real garlic, and strong flavors. Nice wine list. Awesome green beans. Basil chicken is lovely. Pad thai is not so great (but hey, it's not a Thai restaurant, so can you blame them?). Good for kids or adult-only dinners. We've always had prompt, efficient and friendly service and will keep coming back.

    I have been to Little Ollies on several occasions and it's just OK. If you factor in the prices, however, it goes down a star. The best part is the soup, the hot and sour that is. It's very flavorfull and I was told it's vegeterian. The other dishes are just kindof plain and not very spicy. I like that they offer brown rice and the restaurant is lovely, they just need a little more pizzaz to their food. Especially at those prices.

    We loved Little Ollie's! A little pricier than your average asian restaurant, but for a good reason. The food was really, really great. Nice atmosphere with the open air from the windows by the tables. Our server gave us the perfect amount of attention and was personable and helpful. HIGHLY recommend the Black Pepper Tenderloin and the General Tao's Chicken. YUM!!! Not a bad thing to say about the place, can't wait to go back!

    I get the Oillie's craving once in a while when I'm in need of greasy, standard issue Chinese fare, but only cause I don't live too far away. Beyond the food, which is fine, it's a good place for a first date and to do a little people watching. As for pricey, it's not too bad, just don't go crazy with the drinks and appetizers, and you'll get out of there under $50 for two including tip.

    I work in the area, and Little Ollie's is a great place to grab a quick lunch. Every time I've been there, my drinks and food come out quickly. The food is reasonably priced, and the lunch specials are a great deal (especially in Cherry Creek) at 9.99 including soup and an egg roll. The portions are also fairly large. Also, the owner always recognizes me and comes by to say hello. It's nice to be recognized and appreciated.

    the only reason im giving this place 4 stars is because it has the best pad thai in town. USUALLY. Ive been there about 10 times and its always been good....the vegetarian pad thai is actually the best. their spring rolls are really good and the quality of food is always fresh. We ordered takeout a few weeks ago and the pad thai was totally different than I usually get it. It had no flavour. When I called to complain about it to the manager she told me that there were alot of other regulars in the restaruant who ordered the same thing and none of them had any complaints. Soooo I was wrong, I guess my taste buds werent right that night...as if. LOL . The hostesses are usually terrible....they wont give u the most desired table and they act all pissed off if you ask for a better one. But the servers are good.

    Delicious Chinese food...no question about it. Very pricey, though. My guess is that you are paying for location, since it's in Cherry Creek. The lunches are a better value.

    I was visiting Denver this weekend and my friend took me to Little Ollie's for lunch. The lunch special was a good deal with soup, main dish and eggroll for $8 or something. My only gripe was that the menu seemed a little limited and leaned heavily towards chicken dishes, which I noticed because I don't like chicken all that much. But, the food was good and the service was fast while not making you feel rushed. I would go back again.
