Staff is friendly prompt and quick. Great sandwiches and I love how they have a daily special everyday and rotate the kind of sandwiches. Monday is free cookie day, and their cookies are so yummy. I read the other reviews about the potato salad, and I concur-it's not the same good taste as it used to be. I'm not sure if they changed the recipe or what. But that being said, I disagree with people's reviews saying it's expensive. It's very comparable to competitors who don't offer a pickle or any side for that matter. In any event, I would recommend they offer an apple vs. lays chips/potato salad/ or coleslaw. And maybe I would ask they go back to the old potato salad recipe. As it stands, I love this place and the location. It's very bright and clean.

Tasty sandwiches! Pretty good interpretation of a NYC deli, though expect less meat than you're used to. Staff seemed new, but were trying. I'll be back.

My first Heidi's experience was back in Maine. My family and I used to love to drop in for a special treat. Out of sheer excitement we inadvertently parked and tried to enter their old location (not far from T. Joe's) despite what my Yelp app told me. Turns out they had moved locations and Iw as deceived by the large "Heidi's" sign still on the storefront. The new location had lots of street parking and was completely empty when we arrived. I don't recall the staff greeting us upon entry and they certainly were not as friendly (as I hope for folks working in the service industry to be, hence the 4 rather than 5 stars). I was tickled to see that my fave the "Hells Kitchen" (egg salad, bacon, swiss cheese, avocado, & cajun sauce) were on the menu. I had worked up quite the appetite and ordered an entire sandwich (only now remembering that the sandwiches are absolutely massive and I used to simply order a half plus a cup of soup). The food was ready quickly and I was happy to see that the tables were clean and tidy. If I'm in the area again I'll definitely be dropping in.

It has been a while but I stopped in for lunch, staff was very friendly, said Hi as soon as I walked in. I got the hot pastrami sandwich with the potato salad and holy meat on a sandwich, this thing was fantastic. Bread was delicious, the pastrami was to die for, I could not get enough and then add to that the potato salad, creamy and delicious!! Will certainly be back again and again!

I love Heidi's. Such good substantial sandwiches and super-fresh bread. Their gluten free bread is some of the best I've had. And the people there are really nice, too. It can be a little pricey, but I always get two meals out of the two sandwich halves, which kind of evens it out.

First time visit to a Heidi's Brooklyn Deli location. The place was very clean and spacious. Employees were very friendly and my order was prepared fast. The bread is definitely good quality, tasted fresh and hearty and the slices were huge. The roast beef was nothing special and the typical side of boring chips is the reason why I'm not giving this place a higher rating.

My girl and I split a turkey sandwich on this visit and while the sandwich was good....I should have opted for the potato chips instead of the potato salad. I remember Heidi's potato salad being so much more.....on this visit the consistency and texture was just.....weird. Kind of tapioca-y.....kind of sweet....and being a huge fan of potato salad, I was very let down by this. 4 stars turned to 3 just like that.....while we'll be back to Heidi's because our good experiences have outweighed our bad, I have to say if this is the new formula for potato salad here, please go back to what you were doing. Other than that.....always a good place to get a quick sandwich for lunch.

Have to place a post on the new Heidi's Deli since they moved. So sorry to say but they have slid all the way down to zero stars. Anyone that rates Heidi's more than 2-3 stars never went to the original or any others or the one on Colorado blvd over the years. This new location should have been the same as the Colorado blvd as it is the same owners, just moved. Well it's obvious they needed to make some increased profit at the expense of raising prices, reducing the quality and amount of meat on the sandwiches and go cheap on the sides. They try to upsell you on everything and in the end they lost my long, long time business, will never go back. As others have noted the potato salad is crap now. I ordered their Italian hero. It cost $10.95. Wow a lot of money. You get ham, mortadella, capicola and salami. They put one thin slice of each meat on the sandwich, yes a total of four thin slices of meat. Pathetic, for 11$, Insane. Done, place sucks and I truly hope the owner reads this post. I have been eating at Heidi's since 1997 at the original on 32nd. Snarf blows this place away, subway is a better value.

This location has apparently taken the place of the one that was on South Colorado. Though their sign remains, the shop has moved north to Colfax. It felt relatively small to the old location, though has adequate tables & seating. No parking lot here, but street parking shouldn't be much of an issue. This is not the Heidi's I remember. And I don't believe it's been an extraordinarily long time since I've been in. Not bad, The bread is still lovely: fresh, thick slices that are wonderfully delicious. But they no longer have havarti cheese which is a little bit of a bummer because turkey goes so well with that. And the potato salad was almost dessert-like. I really don't understand how that happened... mistaking a tablespoon for a teaspoon of sugar, perhaps? But it was oddly sweet and there weren't those lovely chunks of potato one is used to seeing in potato salad. Instead the potato seemed to be chopped relatively finely. This coupled with the sweetness left a lot to be desired. Who wants such a sweet accompaniment to a savory Sammy? Not I. And my man wasn't terribly impressed either. But the service was pleasant & quick, the sandwich delicious despite the lack of a more interesting cheese (they still have all your typical standbys: provolone, cheddar, pepper jack), the pickle was spot on, and the place was clean.
