It's crunch time! This month is a little cray cray for me - lots of event planning and now I have a last-minute move on the horizon. When I get busy, one of the last things I want to do is fix food. (Well, okay, I don't fix food most of the time anyway, so I guess it's not that unusual.) I wanted something relatively healthy, did a Yelp search, and came up with Fat Jacks. Why not? Great sandwiches! I tried out the Don Juan (turkey and salami) on 7-grain wheat, for an extra charge. Nice quality bread, and they don't skimp on the toppings. They did forget my pickle though, which was a tad disappointing because I love pickles. Head's up: they put spicy dijon on every sando unless you specify you want yellow, want it on the side, or don't want it at all. Adds a nice heat to your sandwich. They also have tortilla wraps and subs too. The sky is the limit in terms of combos. I have a feeling I might be hitting these guys up a few more times this week. I'm a fan! Now, if only some place delivered beer and cupcakes, I'd be a happy girl.

SO tasty. Even on the crankiest of days, a big bird with avocado can lift my spirits. What really makes this place holy for me is their bread. I love me some carbs, and their bread is unsurpassed. You can definitely tell it's homemade and it tastes and smells like ...well. It smells and tastes like really damn good bread. It's a run in and out kind of joint, so don't expect to sit and eat there. Parking can be a serious pain in the ass, too. However, grabbing a sandwich and taking it to a shady spot in City Park? Highly, highly recommended.

Decent food that can be delivered any time your heart desires. What else is there to say? Excellent bread. =-)

There's no question that when you're drunk at 2:30 AM on Friday night Fat Jacks is the best--actually, the only--option for some bad-ass food delivery in Denver. But the real testament to the greatness of Fat Jacks is that I often order it in the middle of the day and perfectly sober. It's no lie about the fresh, quality ingredients, and you totally can taste the difference (you hear that, Silvermine?). For me, what really tips the scales are the little things--the freshness of the sprouts on my turkey sub; the huge selection of Nantucket Nectars; the fact that there is only one size of sammy so I don't have to admit that I want the biggest freakin' piece of bread, meat, and mayo they can throw at me. Fat Jacks is also fast, cheap, and staffed by some pleasant folks. My only complaint (ONLY) is that the new Leetsdale location that delivers to my new house is only open 'till 10.

Stopped in today to grab a Giovanni and only had a dime to stick in the meter (which is 12 minutes) so I had to pray for no line and a sandwich maker that didn't take too long. This guy made my sandwich in like 10 SECONDS, not even exaggerating. I was in and out so fast. If you ever want a sub on your lunch break, I would suggest stopping in. The sandwich itself gets a 4 out of 5 stars: I am NOT a white bread eater, it's always whole-grain/wheat or the highway. But this tasty bread is an exception to my rule. It was a little more crusty than a subway bread and not a dense or dry bread by any means, making for an overall fabulous sub. I also bought a pickle spear for an unbeatable 25 cents, and these aren't your flimsy spears! Nice and thick, not to mention nice and crisp I'll definitely be returning to Fat Jacks

The smell of freshly baked bread upon entering Fat Jacks put a smile on my face! They bake their bread on site which is just one of the reasons for their wonderful subs, and success. They do it right - fresh bread, quality meats, and fresh toppings. They are super friendly and super fast. This is a take-out or delivery place, no tables inside. I've been going to Fat Jacks for years now and they never disappoint. Consistently good subs - that's what you get at Fat Jacks.

Best place for subs I've found downtown. Open late, delivery, liberal on the ingredients, and tasty pickles! Fast service in-store and reasonably priced. Love this place!

I walk in and ask, "Sooo we're first timers - what do you recommend?" The employee said, "Turkey and avocado." He read my mind - that's exactly what I was in the mood for....but I figured that was his typical, girl customer answer. So I asked him, "What if we were two guys that walked in and asked for a recommendation...what would you say then?" He answered, "The Don or Double D - no doubt" I just wanted to see if his answered changed but I still got the turkey and avocado. My friend and I both did, different mustard and mine with onions..gotta have onions!! Yummy! It reminded me of college - not sure why? The bread was fresh, the avocado was just scooped out of the skin and a pickle spear came with it! More places need to add a pickle spear on the side. I'll love them forever. I went to the Colorado and Evans Fat Jacks. I used my coupon in the Local's Discount Book for "Buy one sub, get one more for $1. Must purchase 1 drink." Sandwiches are $6.99 a piece. No seating at this location, just delivery and pick up. Quick and easy. Loved it.

If I ever needed a hearty, quick dinner that was healthy too, especially in my old neighborhood, Fat Jack's did the trick. Their ingredients were always fresh, the staff funny & friendly and they were quick. And the dudes deliver! My dog, Rudy, especially loves it that they sneak him some bacon while he waits. The "Fax" with bacon added, of course, is my fave.

I had to upgrade my rating. This place is the best sandwich shop in Denver! Don't forget about delivery because they do it! I'm still in love with the Gold Coast.

I used to live a mere half-block from this place, and it was an late-night livesaver at times. But that was then... this is now. And things have gone WAY downhill at Fat Jack's. I'm picky about my sandwiches, and my meat o' choice will always be Chicken Salad. Fat Jack's USED to have an excellent Chicken Salad packing their Dixie Chicken (#6, I believe). But they don't have it anymore, and that's why I give it the two-star rating. The Chickens Salad they have now tastes like it came out of a giant five-gallon bucket, prison-ready, with "INDUSTRIAL CHICKEN SALAD" stamped on its side. Last time, it tasted "off." Like, rotten. Like, bottom of that industrial barrel and neglected outside a fridge for a week or so. Don't get me started. I gave it another try after that horrible experience, on the hope that maybe they were having an off day, or that they'd run out of Chicken Salad and filled in with some prepackaged Safeway Deli stuff, or that there was SOME excuse (however feeble).... but, no. Sadly, my second chance was met with the same awful Chicken Salad. Not "off" this time, but still repulsive. I can respect the fact that Fat Jack staples such as "The Don" are probably still safe bets, but if it's the Dixie Chicken you're craving... don't bother. It's a sad, sad situation.

So, I was planning on just getting some Jimmy Johns delivered real quick this past weekend, but for some weird reason the one near my house isn't open on weekends, so I found this place. All in all, the sandwich I had (Italian) was pretty solid. Most notably, the bread is amazing and the meat was good too. My only issue was that the sandwich wasn't put together very well. The lettuce (of which there was too much of) was put on first and was taking up the whole inside of the sandwich, so the meat was hanging halfway out which made it so I would get bites of just meat, and just lettuce. They also brought me the wrong chips, and it took like 45 minutes. They said it would be 30-45 so it's cool, I just wish it was faster. Jimmy Johns isn't much lower quality and can get to me in about 15 minutes. Anyway, I'm sure when they put the sandwich together correctly it's even better than what I experienced, and at the end of the day they have all the ingredients to make a kick ass sub, I guess you might just need to catch them on the right day.

MY GOD, I LOVE THIS PLACE! My boyfriend and I get stuff from here all the time, (we both work until somewhat late) and love this menu. We typically get the same items every time, but enjoy getting different things when we feel the need to. Tonight, (Saturday, July 4th) I came in, wanting something different. I expressed my likes/dislikes to the super-awesome dude taking my order. He promised me satisfaction. I trusted him. He gave me a bag of food, and I went home with it. I can home to... My god. Seriously. This sandwich. I can't even tell you. All I can say is that it was perfectly tailored to my tastes. Every time we get our usual order, it's beautiful. It's so wonderful, having a late night option that is DELICIOUS, cheap, and fast. If you're even WONDERING if you should check this place out, just do yourself a favor and DO IT. ... THE only complaint I could ever have was that I totally ordered a pickle, (Always order a pickle, the ones they provide are SO good and stupid-cheap) but came home to no pickle in my bag. Whatever. Everything else was awesome. I'll get that pickle another day. Either way, you guys freaking rock. I heart you, so. And to the guy who made my "Mystery Sandwich", tonight- You freaking NAILED it. That thing was beautiful. I love you guys. Please don't ever leave me.

I got 'The Fax' sub as a wrap. Dry, hardly any mayo and a slice of bacon. Certainly not worth the cost or the drive to pick this up. Next time will go to Jimmie John's or if really desperate, Subway.

    (1)
  • Joseph S.

It's like Jimmy John's without the crazy, endangered-animal-shooting, healthcare hating CEO. My Jester was awesome, lettuce was crunchy and roll was soft, not the other way around, which for me is a big indicator of freshness, and the guy took maybe 30secs to make it. Foosball table, lots of space inside, patio outside.

IVE ORDERED OVER 20 TIMES IN THE PAST TWO YEARS THAT IVE LIVED HERE (off York and Bruce Randolph) AND WITHIN THE LAST MONTH (3/2015) IVE GOTTEN THE WORST SERVICE. I have placed many orders being a student and working a full time job it's not the easiest to cook meals let alone for my boyfriend and I. That being said IVE had great experiences, correcting my order or bringing me a replacement sandwich because it was not to my liking, just AWESOME service. Cool. Well these past two experiences have been NIGHTMARES, Friday night 3/27 I placed an order at 7:30 after being told it would arrive in 45 minutes and 9:50 rolls around, I call. " Annoyed and hungry mind you. They explain its busy and the orders on the way. Great. Tenminutes later they callback and tell me I'm not in the delivery range, arguing with them, they tell me I was always out of delivery range and they've been delivering to me out of courtesy. Why does it takes two hours for them to tell my IVE been out of delivery range and cancel my order. Cool. I was left with no option and ordered pizza. My boyfriend, pissed off called to get management info and they gave it reluctantly ,and then called us back to let us know the driver would be here in 10 minutes with the three sandwiches I ordered. 11:45 pm. Not worth it. Second unexpected turn of events.... 4/18 ordered 6:40pm. 8:30 rolls around and had to cancel. It would be seriously easiest for me to just pick up my order but why do I have to if you offer delivery service in 45 minutes Update June 2015 They opened a five points location and haven't had any issues! Love Fat Jacks

I used to live near a JJ but they no longer deliver to my area, so I had to settle for this place. Every time I order online, it takes well over an hour and a half to get my food. I have just ordered from them a second time and its been an hour and 15min and still no food. On top of that, the sandwiches when they arrive never have enough filling in them and are always super dry. This will probably be my last order here.

    (1)
  • Paul S.

Based on previous reviews... and my experience just now... apparently being a giant dickhead is part of the service you get free of charge here. Seemed like I was really putting these guys out by asking for *all* the ingredients that were supposed to come on my sandwich. My bad. Next time I'll just expect that you'll forget how to do your very simple job and that I deserve to be treated like I'm dipped in shit for wanting my avocado. I mean, I'll remember that when I'm somewhere else.

I have been ordering from FJ for over a year now and tonight I went to order a sub and it says "can not deliver to this address". So I look under the "delivery map" and my address is very much so in the delivery area. What gives FJ?!?!?!

    (1)
  • Duncan F.

I would love to write a review but after an hour and a half of waiting for my delivery order I called the store only to find out the driver had NOT READ THE DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS THAT MY BUZZER WAS BROKEN AND TO CALL MY PHONE. As I clearly stated in the online ordering instructions. unprofessional response, and never once was I contacted via phone, when my number was clearly listed TWICE. When I called the guy recited my number to me, so obviously they had it, the driver was just unwilling to follow the simple instruction. Thoroughly disappointed in every bit of my experience with this place. I'd give negative stars if I could.

During a long night at Denver Health, my coworker and I decided to skip the somewhat scary Subway in the hospital and order Fat Jack's instead. What a mistake. The guy on the phone said our delivery would take 45 minutes. After waiting an hour, I called again to ask about our food and was told the delivery guy had left a little bit ago with my order and two others. When I said, "this sucks," the reply was, "yeah it does." Not exactly professional. I waited another 20 minutes (absolutely starving at this point), called again and was told the delivery guy should be there any minute. When he finally arrived a few minutes later, he had gone to the wrong location in the hospital. Security would not let him in so he could not actually deliver the food to where I was working, so I had to leave my work area to find him. On top of all that, Fat Jacks had neglected to make the modifications to the sub as I had requested (no mayo, no mustard, no tomatoes). I was so hungry at this point I would have eaten anything, but it's a good thing I'm not allergic to those ingredients I requested to not have on my sandwich because they were definitely on there (as a note, they did remember to include the bacon I had requested, so it wasn't an oversight of just making the sandwich as described on the menu). I will definitely NOT be ordering from Fat Jacks again.

I have loved fat jacks for a few years but the delivery is the best! I'm single, very busy and love the convenience. Polite and friendly staff!

  • Jolene C.

I really miss the old vibe. Now there is some guy that can't even properly ring up an order because two scantly clad women came in and all he cares about is getting their phone numbers. Real good turn around, a shout out to whomever is trying to drive this franchise, wherever it's going, it's going into the ground. You missed the quality point....... Congrats!! .

  • Chucky B.

I used to love Fat Jack's. I always thought it was a better version of Jimmy John's. Now not so much. The last few times I've been here the subs just haven't been as good except for the meatball...which is why I'm still giving this 3 stars. The other subs though just don't taste good to me anymore. The ingredients don't seem as fresh to me and bland.

    (3)
  • Stephen W.

The service has gone down in the year that I have been using them for deliveries. Drivers are very out of it. Had many deliveries come without items (colesaw, drinks, chips, pickles) and its always an 'opps' from the driver instead of a replacement or apology. Phone order takers are bored and argue about coupons or requests, not friendly. Sandwhich's are inconsistent. Quality is inconsistent. Wish I could keep ordering from this place as I have fond memories of when it used to be soooo good. But of my last 6 orders, none of them were good. I cant keep wasting my money hoping this place gets its stuff together again. Shame

  • Alicia J.

When someone calls a sub the "Fat Jack" and charges the most for it, you would hope that the sub is...har, pardon, but....substantial. I ordered one to find out, and I can report back that it was delicious. I think my only complaint would be that with the heavy amounts of meat and cheese, maybe use a bigger bun? This thing looks like a meat torpedo. (That's what she said) I live right across the street, so I'm sure I'll be trying out other menu items soon. Despite an original glitch involving some human error on their part, the resolution was swift and the customer service was fantastic. Mistakes happen, and it's just as important to appreciate how the mistake is handled as it is to dote on the mistake, itself. If you're hungry, hungover or stoned, definitely check out the Fat Jack sub (you pick 3 meats and 2 cheeses). The salami is fantastic.

Awesome sandwiches and opened late, what more can you ask for?!?! Maybe some Little Man ice cream, oh they have that too!!!

    (5)

Subs are OK, pretty standard sandwich. Late night delivery is a big plus. But by far the best thing about Fat Jacks is that you can now get pints of super delicious ice cream DELIVERED!! Game changer.

We just moved to Leetsdale and Oneida. On Friday we ordered a sub with roast beef and horseradish the sub was super amazing. We ordered it today and there was barely any roast beef in it. I am super disappointed :-( .

    (3)
  • Sean D.

The customer service here is in an apparent state of regression. Last time we placed a delivery order the employee did what felt like an attempt to dissuade us from ordering. After asking for delivery the following transmission was along these lines: "yeah but I mean it's gonna take...like over an hour." More than half the time, when you go in, it feels like they want you out. It's a Jimmy John's with panache...frankly, the food isn't good enough to endure unwelcoming customer service.

    (2)
  • Doug L.

Expensive with guaranteed slow delivery and they have messed up twice in a row. Done with this place. I strongly suggest avoiding ordering from here unless you like playing sandwich roulette.

    (1)
  • Barbi P.

I love me a good sammy. I don't think it is hard to make a sandwich delicious, all you need to do is load it up with delicious items. It is like a food gift basket, put good stuff in it and it will be good, fill it with crappy fillers and...well why the hell are you even making it then!? Fat Jack's makes yummy wiches. The thing was big, full of meat, cheese and spread and I was a happy girl. The prices are pretty average. I could have saved a buck or two by not getting the chips and drink but they have some good chips and a picture of ICE T on the pop machine. I can't say no to that. The vibe inside is a little more alternative than Subway is going to be. But if you aren't a cool capital hill hipster you wont feel out of place. The staff was meh. But to be honest I can't say I know many people working in a sub shop that are customer service focused.

    (4)
  • Joanna L.

I love The Fax! It's yummy deliciousness. Fat Jack's is a good little sub place, just not the best. It's usually staffed by a couple of guys that may or may not be stoned, and are always chill and super nice. When I first started going here, it was very small and I don't remember if they had any seating. They have remodeled and expanded the restaurant and now have a good space for dining. The food is general sub food. The meats and veggies are always fresh, but I feel like their bread could use some work. They have a good selection of chips and soda, including Izze at a very reasonable price. Normally, I would give this place 3 stars, but I upped it to 4 since they stay open late night and deliver!!

    (4)
  • Mewstertu M.

Great bread, good sandwich options, ok pricing, bad delivery time estimate (1:25 instead of 45 min).

    (3)
  • Rachel R.

Fat Jack's is my jam. Seriously. This place is so good. I've been going here for about 5 years now and have never had a bad experience. Their veggie options are superb and their sandwich options are inspired. The staff is humble, efficient and a pretty jovial bunch if you catch them on the right day. They're never anything short of helpful and kind. I also love the way the shop has evolved over the past few years - they've really cleaned it up in there and it looks great. Order anything on wheat bread. Noms and a half.

  • JD S.

This place is just what the Doctor ordered. Got into town and was starving. Within 15 minutes they delivered the bombiest sandwich to my hotel door. Super fairly priced. Realty great service. Definitely on the list moving forward.

    (5)
  • Samantha P.

Definitely a regular at Fat Jack's (pretty much every location depending on where I am). I love their subs. I've never had a bad sandwich and the ingredients and bread are always fresh. The dressings are awesome and there's a wide variety of sandwiches to choose from. To me it's a classic sub; nothing super fancy, no toasted bread, just a good sub sandwich. Staff is always friendly and they're always thinking of different sandwich ideas. AND they deliver! I've definitely gotten a lot of people hooked on Fat Jack's too!

    (5)
  • Frank S.

I've been coming her multiple time a week for five years now and the service is definitley better during daylight hours. During the day the manager knows my sub by heart and all we need is a nod to get my delicious beefeater started! They are friendly and professional, always got some good jams playing on the sound system too. When I frequent this joint at night, total different animal. Some overbearing loud crappy music and a staff that can't remember what I ordered 5 seconds after I ordered it! Place seems to be messy and unorganized after dark too. Don't get me wrong the subs are the BEST in town, but things can be a little bit inconsistent depending on what time, and what staff is on duty. Still gets 5 stars though, head and shoulders above the competition. They just need to shore up the ship at night and I'd give em 6 stars! There is a serious shortage of hip, cool locally owned places like this in town.

  • Nolan G.

I ordered a sandwich and 2 pints of ice cream online at 10:25 last night. By 11:45 I just assumed they had forgotten my meal and decided to never order from there again, but sure enough at midnight they showed up with my food. The fact that I waited over an hour and a half and still gave these people my money is ridiculous, at that point I didn't even want the food anymore. I paid however, then ended up having to chase down the delivery guy because he had left half my order in his car. Food was decent but the delivery service was so miserable I'll never order from here again.

    (1)
  • Leonel L.

Fat jacks at colfax has great tasting subs but they fall short to rude customer service, and delivery wait times that can leave you waiting up to an hour and a half. I do not write this off of just one experience with this colfax lactation but multiple ones. Is being rude and having poor business ethics a cool "hipster" things these days? I don't buy that.

    (2)
  • Rick A.

Live nearby and have been coming here for years, but tonight's experience may be enough to undo that patronage. Don't know if it's the Subway opening nearby or the Jimmy John's, but they were in a hurry to get things made and out the door, to the point that the sub I wanted made without sprouts and with cheese didn't have the cheese but had the sprouts, which I detest. By the time I got home and took a bite to try a mouthful of a flavor I find gross, it was too late to go back and have it fixed. Ended up throwing it away. Glad it wasn't an allergy. I know a sub isn't a pile of cash, but wasting money is wasting money, and when it's because the staff just doesn't seem to give a crap, it turns me off from revisiting a business. Maybe I'll give it a few months and see if there's a turnover in staff or an uptick in care.

I absolutely love the food here, the late night delivery is such a bonus. However the customer service goes from elite to worthless every time I order. Best subs in town served with a side of illiterate and uselessness.

Nothing special at all. Really don't care for it.its across the st from my apartment and i never go there which says a lot for me because I'm not so discerning with sandwiches and late night munchies ..snarfs is wayyyyy better. id even go to quiznos before this place.

Unfortunately the delivery took an hour, which is why I can't give 5 stars. (Granted, it was a Saturday night at 10:30.) When our food finally arrived, it was worth the wait. All ingredients were fresh and delicious. If it weren't for the long delivery time, I'd give it 5 stars all day. Found this little gem on MileHighMenus.com

Great subs, great prices, and they'll even deliver with just 1 sub. They're quick too! Open till 3am, hard to beat that for the late night crowd. If you're leaving a show at the Ogden, you should definitely think about stopping here for some late night grub.

A beautiful day today and only a 3 block walk to Fat Jack's. So, having read what great subs they make I decided to walk off 13 calories to get a 400 calorie sub. Hmmmmm. Ordered the BLT ("Casanova," they call it) and added some much-hyped avocado. Glad I did. The add-on was indeed excellent. And the bread was nicely chewy and fresh tasting. The bacon was fine, too, but not anything other than regular bacon. (That's kinda like saying "the making out with Sofia Vergara was fine, but you know, nothing other than like your regular making out with Sofia Vergara. . . . Huh?!). I mean, like it wasn't triple thick or unusually smoked, like the knock-your-socks-off bacon in a Vert Kitchen sandwich, for example. So, how to rate FJ's? First, they win the battle of the who's-tubefood-is-longer-yours-or-mine? (Notice I didn't talk about thickness). Standard size (?)(let's not take this too far, OK?) is 6" but they measure in at 7". Also, I prefer their bread a bit over what ya get at Subways and Quiznos. But I wish they'd offer the option of grilling/toasting it 'cause that might make them a truly 4 star kinda sub shop. Their prices are low ($5.50 for 7" of bacon love) but that's not all that much different than Subway's. So they get an honorable 3 star rating with a note that it's the kinda 3 star place I'd pro'lly revisit. (Whereas I haven't been to a Subway's in years).

Okay... This place is the absolute BEST place to get a sub in Denver. Their deli meats and cheeses are some of the best I've ever had on a sub; you'll never see a Cisco truck in front of this place. Not to mention, probably the best meatball sandwich I've ever had. Make sure to try a cup of the broccoli-cheddar soup since it goes perfect with pretty much any sub they make! Their Delivery service is free and almost always ahead of the ETA they give you on the phone. Do yourself a favor and try this place. You will not be let down.

Yuck, terrible bread. it has NO flavor and they claimed to bake it several times a day. just gross. Sandwich fixins were sparse on the turkey sandwich. Please pass by this place when you drive by.

I have four letters for you... B... L... A... T. That's right, as if a BLT wasn't good enough let's go ahead and throw some avocado on there. Woot! I think in my version of heaven this will always be a lunch choice. I'm a fan of Fat Jack's, for the aforementioned BLAT and for all the other sandwiches I've tried from plain roast beef with horseradish to the Giovanni (Italian). The sandwiches here are simple yet delicious. I'm also a fan of the delivery. Fat Jack's will bring me bacon? With avocado? On a soft roll? Sign me up please. And they have grape and orange soda. What a total score.

I'm a bit reluctant to rate this place 4 stars but I will tell you why I did so. I'm not a huuuge fan of sandwich shops, BUT.... Compared to other places I have been to, this one does have the best subs. Yes, the other reviews are true, the bread is really good! Not crunchy (and note, I did have a warm sub...I had the meatball sub, whatever its name is), but chewy and fresh. The marinara sauce was good, yeah. Meatballs were good, but could be bigger in my opinion...I mean, they weren't tiny, but for the price (7 something dollars) I expected something bigger. I also tried the italian sub, which was pretty tasty (and that one was decent priced, like 5 something...) Also, people working there were nice, especially the cashier (I failed to catch her name). We got a free drink and free chips for checking in on yelp. I also love that it is open late. Definitely a plus! Ideally, I'd give this place something like 3.5 stars, but that's not an option here. I'll round it up to a nice 4! I do plan on going back when I have a chance.

I've been a customer here for years and I love it. Their bread is delicious, their soup is yummy, and the people are really friendly. Yesterday though, they brought me the wrong sandwich. I called to get a new one, no problem, but half an hour later it still wasn't here. So I called again and they were still making it! I think a messed up order should get first priority and be out the door ASAP. They gave me a full credit but it bummed me out. Usually they're great! Hopefully they can redeem themselves and I can update this review with 5 stars.

Fat Jack's is legit. Who else delivers to LoDo at 12 am when a massive attack of the munchies occurs? Fat Jacks does. Such a better option then ordering pizza or Chinese for delivery food. I ordered a Ham, Turkey, Cheese sub and it was LEGIT. Hadn't had a sub like this since I moved to Denver. It was nice and basic with a good roll with quality meat. Next time you need late night take out...check out Fat Jacks.

Fat jacks im pretty much the best thing to hit colfax in terms of sandwiches. First things first-who doesnt love a place that serves awesome sandwiches AND is open until 3AM Thursday through Saturday?!?!?! That perk right there deserves this four star rating, but the real reason i am giving four stars is because of the staff. They always have a smile on their face, they constantly are having side conversations with you and asking how your night is. It is refreshing to see a small establishment like this take time to get to know their customers. As far as the menu goes, i think there could be a little more variety. Side note: if you order one of the clubs (which is a sandwich with double meat and double cheese) i strongly recommend you ask for extra lettuce, tomato, etc. Otherwise it comes out tasting very dry.Also...can you please start cutting the subs in half!!! They are too big!! My personal favorite is the Don (the italian sub) Keep up the great work guys!!

Man, if you don't want to deliver just one sandwich, don't say your delivery minimum is "uh, like one sandwich". And don't get all bent out of shape over the phone when I describe my location, which according to Google Maps is LESS THAN TWO MILES from your store. And don't say, "Okay 45 minutes to an hour" and slam the phone down before you even hear my "thank you" (which now I say is for nothing). After today's extremely rude "service" over the phone, messed up order (hello I'm ALLERGIC to raw onions, hence why I said NO ONIONS), deadpan delivery person, and suspected food sabotage, I will not ever be ordering from Fat Jack's again. My sandwich had so much g-d Grey Poupon on it that I had to force myself to eat the damn thing. It was like the Wasabi-effect on my sinuses--not a pleasant lunch. Again, if you're going to be a nancy about delivering one sandwich and a bag of chips (that I could have used the coupon on but I was trying to be nice and didn't), just say no. I could have saved us both the time and trouble and ordered from Jimmy John's. And next time I'll do just that.

We waited 2 hours for delivery of 2 sandwiches on a Sunday evening. They never arrived (after calling and inquiring, the employee said she was perpetually on her way), so we cancelled but have yet to receive a refund. And now I have a hungry, grumpy husband on my hands. One star for service; cannot comment on the food since it NEVER came.

Are you moderately intoxicated? Does the lingering taste of gin or beer travel with you into the night? Are you likely to wake up in the very clothes you're wearing? IF SO, FAT JACK'S IS FOR YOU! They're open late on bar nights. Like, 4am late. And there's nothing quite so good after a night of heavy drinking and hard living as a Fat Jack's Johnny Roast Beef with spicy mustard and extra provolone cheese. The beef, like your liver, is cooked rare and on fresh-baked bread that strikes a perfect balance between soft and hearty. There isn't any place to sit and eat at Fat Jack's -- they pretty much only do orders to-go, but that's okay, because you'd better find a soft surface to collapse on sooner rather than later.

HINT: The entrance is on Lafayette next to the drug store. Got the #4 Roast Beef sub and it was fantastic! The bread they make there is light, crisp outer crust and has great flavor. I added avocado to mine and the only thing I would've like is a few more tomatoes, some pickles and jalapenos cause I love spicy stuff. Other than those few minor things I'd say it's a great place to go and you should definitely check it out if you're in the area.

Hint - there are 4 spots in the parking lot behind the build (#1,2,3,4). This little tidbit of info is over the door, but too small to see till you are entering the door. Just as yummy as the Evans location. Friendly staff. Tons of choices. I do have to complain that 13 is called "Don Juan" and 17 is called the "The Don". alas - hubby got the wrong sandwich cause i ordered #13, The Don, change the cheese to pepper jack, no veggies. My bad - but perhaps change the name of one so i can get the hubby the right dinner and not ruin our picnic date! :) Still yummy bread, and i'll be back, but he'll do the ordering!

Did I simply make a poor choice? I was dying for a chicken salad sandwich and this place popped up on my gps so I took a chance. Let me preface this by saying, I'm pregnant. I go from a little hungry to famished in a bout 2 seconds flat, and waiting until 2pm for lunch was a bad idea---I'll take the blame for that one Jack. So I walk in and the service was great, of course at 2pm I was the only customer so I had 3 people helping me. I ordered the Dixie Chicken (I think I might have died on the spot if they did not have a chicken salad option on the menu, I'd been craving chicken salad for an hour---so 1 star for it simply existing!) After ordering it i noticed there wasn't any question about types of bread so i take that as they only offer the 1 white option----blech. I got the combo with a drink and cookie, and it was pricey $8 and some change. Back at the office I unwrap my BIG sandwich and take my first bite----instantly I deflate. This is the most boring and bland sandwich I have ever eaten. I don't even think I'm being dramatic here. The chicken salad had pretty much zero flavor. The white bread was AWFUL! It was chewy and bland. I was so, so, sad. Being that I am preggo, I did manage to eat the sandwich but I won't be going back. The white chocolate macadamia nut cookie was tasty though (another star!) So much for trying a new place, huh!

I took a break from my pizza mission and had the best experience at Fat Jacks, worthy of updating my old review as it's a couple of years old. Have you ever had a little too much to drink on an empty stomach, and needed the perfect sandwich to make the world right again? That was me. And the only reason that typing this missive isn't too loud for me this morning is because that sandwich saved my life. The guys at Fat Jacks were super funny and awesome, and made me a Fat Jack with all roast beef and all cheddar, which tasted amazingly and brought me back to planet earth as well. I brought some friends who are new to town, and they were both blown away by the quality of the bread and ingredients, something we've all discussed in these reviews before. Top notch. Thanks Fat Jacks. I have work to do today, and without your sandwich, I think I would have been in for a world of hurt.

Get a sandwich toaster dammit! I don't mean to be so aggressive, but I don't understand why any sandwich place does not give the option to have your purchase toasted. It is so much better if is! Ok, that being said, I actually love this place and have been here a million times after getting a little too faded at the Irish Snug next door. The place is small, they make your sandwiches super fast, the staff is always nice, and they are open until 3am on weekends (I think). After a few (or a few too many) drinks Fat Jack's is just what you need. But when you're sober and have slightly higher standards, its just okay.

  • Alissa R.

i am upgrading to 4 stars now, as this place has redeemed itself more than a few times since that awful experience that left me with no choice but to give them only 1 star. it still can get a bit pricey for delivery, but one sandwich will give you two meals so it evens out. the Gold Coast Club is great, they always give a generous proportion of avocado to the sandwich. add some onions and peppers and that is one tasty foot long! i am a bit embarrassed to admit i literally crave the broccoli cheese soup from this place, i have no idea if it is made in house or comes from an outsource-does not matter one bit to this stomach!

Good value for money ratio at this sub shop on Capitol Hill. It's take out only or delivery so plan on not being able to eat there. Jack's has the typical soft drink offering plus a few bottled beverages like tea or juice. Dill pickle spears cost a quarter and the whole menu is practically a la carte with clear pricing for each add-on available. They do have standard menu items but the extent to which one can modify these items is limited only by imagination or taste (or lack thereof in some cases I suppose). High quality meats and cheeses fill the menu and the bread is above average for a sub shop. The counter guy was busy but still personable and helpful while whipping up some tasty subs. I dig this sub joint and I'll be back for lunch soon.

  • Ali W.

The sandwiches are pretty good, but not spectacular. There are a good variety of sandwich combos to choose from. It's okay to grab their subs for a cheap, quick lunch, but it's not anything I would crave for later. Although the address is on Colfax, and the Yelp map says it's on Colfax and Marion, it's actually on Lafayette. Don't get tricked. Wait, this isn't Subway? 1 star off: not much better than Subway 1 star off: no seats to eat my sub

I was VERY happy with the service at Fat Jacks. I decided to get some food delivered because of the snow and they got here within a reasonable time period and actually packaged the food with the customer in mind! One of the things I hate about getting delivery or take out is that they haphazardly pack all the food in and by the time you get it home everything is leaking. At Fat Jacks, they were very careful with how they packaged the food. The prices were really good and they have heart healthy and low carb options.

Ah sandwiches. Old reliable. The go-to lunch of millions of school kids and grown-ups each day. To break it down, the best sandwiches no matter which type, come down to just a few specifications. Fresh bread. There is a reason Subway gets a gagizillion customers each day and it most definitely does not have to do with their incredibly dated spokesperson Jared. What the hell is he still doing on TV? He lost all that weight by eating bologna six inchers like ten years ago. Anyways, the bread. Fresh, baked in-house and delicious. Secondly the ingredients have got to be fresh and plentiful. No one likes week-old Swiss cheese with a wrinkly tomato and one thin slice of turkey. Shit, we're not on a war ration or anything, pile those goodies on. Lastly, price. Come on, we are talking about something so simple that a child can do it. This "sandwich artist" bullshit has got to stop. And the ingredients are totally cheap too, so don't even think of making that 89 cent can of tuna cost me $9. Thankfully Denver has its hands on a shop with the trifecta of requirements and great late-night hours too. Fat Jack's subs are 7 long and piled high with fresh ingredients that all together only cost $5.25. Suck on that whole extra inch Subway. denverofcourse.com

MMWWAAHAAAHAAAHAAAHAAA!* * The sound of a villainous douche bag who wants to destroy Denver's citizens chances of having a decent sandwich. Seriously, what is with Denver's sandwich places? We have great Pho, Cart foods, hamburger places and Mexican joints. Denver's down-to-Earthiness would fit in great with Sandwiches and other relaxed food groups. So why can't I get a decent God Damned sandwich here! Fat Jack's disappointed me twice, and that is as many times as I am willing to be disappointed (Luckily my wife doesn't live by that ethos). Here is the scoop: - First time- My friends (Denver natives) and I are smoking and watching cartoons when one says, "Oh man, let's get some food delivered." and my other friend replies, "Fat Jack's has awesome sandwiches" and I am like "Oh shit yeah, I fucking love sandwiches!" And we were all excited, until the sandwiches came. We got the Gold Coast subs and they were like $9 a piece not including tip, but I said hey if it is good it is worth it. It was not worth it. The "fresh baked bread" sucked. It is thick and doughy and not crusty enough. The "high quality meats" were what you could get at any Seven-Eleven. And there was no interesting, exciting sauces or condiments. BOOOO! - Second (and last) time- People at my work order Fat Jack's, and offer to get me one. They say I had a rare bad experience. I sheepishly go along, knowing in my heart this is not meant to be. I am right. I order a veggie sandwich. The bread sucks again. The veggies are sparse and of only decent quality. The cheese is garbage. This was a $6 mistake. *** I love Denver, I really do. And I am sure there are bright spots in the gourmet sandwich scene here, but I have yet to find them. I deeply trust my Native friends' opinions on Mexican food, brew pubs and good places to hike, but GOD DAMN YOU PEOPLE LOVE SHITTY SUBS! Please, please, go to the North East and have some pizza and a sandwich and come back and tell me any of these horrendous sub shops (that means you too Jimmy Johns) are palatable.

Love Fat Jack's !!!! Best BLT (#2 Casanova) hands down. Every sandwich we have ordered has been made fresh with quality ingredients and delivered fast. They deliver until 3am Thur-Sat. And the coupons on the menu really save you some dough....and speaking of the fresh bread is great !!!!

The BEST Place IN ALL OF DENVER to get a LEGIT submarine sandwhich! Such a great hole in the wall. You can't go wrong with anything here, value and quality wise surpasses Jersey Mike's and SO FAST YOU'LL FREAK Jimmie Johns!! Love this place! EVERYTHING HERE IS AMAZING, just sucks that it's not more centrally located in Denver!

I just finished unpacking the last box completing my move into a new apartment. I'm starving and in need of something substantial for the tummy but not my wallet. So... ...I walk across the street to Fat Jacks. I'll give you a moment to get over your jealousy of how close I live to this place.... okay, moving on. I walk in and order "The Fax" with everything from a gal and we chat about whether it's going to snow tomorrow, yadda, yadda. Her and the other guy behind the counter were super cool and attentive. In the time it takes for me to grab an uber large cookie and get a cup of broccoli cheese, my sandwich is made, wrapped, and in the bag with his friends. All for $10, which in my mind is a pretty great deal. I'm walking back over to my apartment and the inner dialog goes something like this: - Want to eat the cookie (my stomach grumbles). - Wait for me to get the key in the door... - JUST A LITTLE COOKIE - There are stairs and I could drop the whole thing. WAIT. - Why not just unwrap the parchment on the corner... just enough to break off a little bit of the bread? - No need, we're here. (Sigh of relief from my stomach) That first bite... heaven. Soft, chewy bread surrounding turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato. Just enough mayo mustard to keep everything in harmony without making it slide all over. Thinking about it makes me a little verklempt... talk amongst yourselves. I'll give you a topic: Rhode Island is neither a road, or an island. Discuss. Anyhow, I ate the whole thing in euphoric blur, stopping only once to taste the Broccoli Cheese soup. The soup is surprisingly good and, I bet money on it, has to contain some amount of Velveeta cheese which, as everyone knows, can make anything right as rain. But the sandwich requested my full attention so the soup, I decided, would make a great lunch tomorrow. The cookie, large and flat, was still chewy and soft. A good finish. In short, reasonably priced, excellent bread (which is what makes or breaks a sandwich), and a cool staff. Welcome to the neighborhood!!

I just had a wicked craving for this place and I'm sad that there's nothing I can do about that. Yes, I live where there is basically a sub shop where ever you look but nothing has lived up to Fat Jacks. Nothing. The bread is so delicious I am left to assume only that it is studded with crack and/or heroin which almost explains why I get all twitchy and drooly just thinking about the cheese head sandwich. Why oh why did I move away from you and your deliciousness? Delivery was always prompt and friendly and when we'd stop in (often half-crocked) the folks behind the counter were nice. Stopping in always reminded me that I needed one of their big ass cookies. Again, these are clearly laced with some sort of opiate. God I miss Fat Jacks.

  • Michael E.

Really, who in there right mind can pass on a super sub? I certainly couldn't! I had the big baller and it was Tasty with a capital T! Super soft bread and fountain soda. Yum, I am glad I found out about this place for sure!

  • Laura B.

I love the sandos here. Not only do they deliver (pretty far), they deliver until 3am! I think they have the best roast beef in town, rare and super lean. Plus, when you add avocado to your sando (which, why wouldn't you?) they use real avos, not spread..points from me!

    (5)
  • Mollie T.

Love Fat Jacks. They are my favorite subs bar none. The bread is soft and fresh and the roast beef is the best. I go to the one on Leetsdale and the service is great. They are always friendly and remember us most times we come in.

  • Becky S.

The only downside to this place is finding it. It's actually on Lafayette, just north of Colfax. Or they have a pretty wide delivery radius, so you could just call in some delivery. The meats they have are delicious and perfectly sliced. The bread is soft and always fresh. The cookies? Are to die for, they're all soft and huge and chock full o' goodies. Good stuff. I always get something different, although the description for the chicken salad was way more extravagant than the actual sub. I'd stay away from that one. Pretty reasonably priced, too. And the soup... yum. I'm a fan of the cheese & broccoli soup. So thick and hot. Did I mention they deliver until 3AM? But make sure you get your order in before 2:30, unless you offer them a $40 tip for delivery.

The BLT is a simple, simple thing. The name says it all in three tiny little consonants. But to really pull off a good bacon sammich, there is a touch of finesse involved. And the fine folks at Fat Jacks do it so well. Crispy, not greasy bacon. Plenty of real mayo. Fresh tomatoes and handfuls of shredded lettuce. I like to get it with the optional "A" for Avocado. I've been known to occasionally stray from "my usual" (the Casanova with avocado) and get the Beefeater or even the Don when I'm feeling it. But damned if the Casanova isn't the best BLT I've ever had. It'll be the best BLT you've ever had, too.

I have had sandwiches before. I know I have. Bread, some type of meat, maybe a slab of cheese and the obligatory green stuff. I know I have... The weird thing is, after Fat Jack's, I simply can't remember them. Flashes of carbs and protein and Jared's smiling face that instantly become overwhelmed by the image of a Fat Jack's sammy... Kind of like that scene in Jaws where the run-of-the-mill shark is that poor, unsuspecting swimmer girl dog-paddling her way into the gaping jaws of a Fat Jacks sub acting as great white... I had some clinical rotations at a spot off of the Fax and the whole crew spent days in a row sustaining ourselves on Fat Jacks... Great subs and good peeps whenever we stopped in to pick it up... Good times...

Fat Jack's is my go to place for a mean sang. I normally get the Johnny Roast Beef with horseradish. Not only is this tasty, it compliments my Zyrtec nicely, combating even the worst allergy symptoms. The staff is great and make the sandwiches extremely fast.

So I never had fat jacks before I started working at the salon, I would always get subs from another place. But I gotta say I freaking LOVE fat jacks!!!!! Every time i order it always tastes fresh and the seasoning the use is awsome. I always get the #5 Italian subs are my favorite and there's is the best Ive had so far!! so if you eat meat try that one!! the only bad thing i can say is delivery takes forever but to be fair we order around lunch time. Great sub, I normally don't go for white bread but the roll was great. Soo much better than a Jimmy Johns roll. Was a little disappointed there was no wheat roll available but it was 1am so understandable. I got a turkey/roast beef sandwich with swiss and was very happy they had real horseradish (I didn't expect them to when I asked). Grey Poupon mustard too FTW. Had a cookie as well which was good. I'd definitely go back.

Fat Jacks is my favorite sandwich shop in Cap Hill. They are strictly takeout or delivery. Don't go to this location if you have hopes of eating there as they have no dining room. I tried their delivery service for the first time last night. I called shortly after 9PM and the guy quoted me a wait time of 45 to 60 minutes for 3 sandwiches. The delivery arrived in 40 minutes! I would guess a delivery on a Fri or Sat night would be well over 1 hour. Something else to be aware of: they do charge for delivery. 50 cents per sandwich is the rate. Pretty reasonable, but they don't have that bit of info on their menu...

    (4)
  • David S.

A decent sandwich, yes. But nowhere near as good an Italian sandwich as Carbonne's in my humble one. For the money, I felt they were a little stingy on the veggies, the cheapest part of a sammie. I would go back if I were in the area, but I would not make a special trip.

    (3)
  • Patrick B.

They make the subs so fast you'll be able to park in the handicap slot right outside their front door without worrying about it. Try the #5 Italian w/ bacon on it. Staff rules...go there.

Very good sandwiches to go. I love the Dejon mustard, and the bread is always soft. Much better than the chain sandwich places. Plus they are open late and I have always had good service.

There is NO BETTER sandwich in all of Denver. That I can promise you. There are others from such places as Quiznos, Heidi's, Panera, Spicy Pickle, Smiling Moose etc... but on a scale of 1-10 they would all fall somewhere in the middle while Fat Jacks would be an 11. Their sandwiches aren't pathetic where every ingredient is individually measured. (Yes, I'm frowning at that abomination called Subway) Oh no, they pile it on. If you've read any of my reviews you'll know that I'm not one for straying once I've found something delicious and at Fat Jack's it is definitely the Gold Coast for me. But rest assured, my bf tries different sandwiches when we go and I always make sure to have a bite and they are all excellent as well. Plus when you are starving at all hours of the night the Fat Jacks sub is there to relieve you from the other scary options available at those kind of hours. In hopes that the dudes from Fat Jacks read this, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make up frequent sandwich buyer cards!

  • Diana A.

Wish Fat Jacks was closer to us! I LOVE their subs! This place is very fast and well priced. They have a menu similar to jimmy johns but more options. I love the Don Juan - turkey and salami. I just wish we still lived in the delivery zone!

    (4)
  • Liam S.

This place was great! It was hard to find though. It is not located on Colfax, but on LAFAYETTE. The address is for the whole building. You can't sit there and dine but you can get a sandwich till very late at night and take it with you. They give you a lot of ingredients for your money. I think my sandwich was only about $5 to $6 and definitely a large 9" sandwich. Great value! Will definitely go back!

  • Emily K.

We've enjoyed Fat Jacks for years.Except for last night I've always loved their sandwiches. Unfortunately the last sandwich I got, the Gold Coast, had a ton of horseradish on it effectively ruining my sandwich. The meatball sub is my son's favorite.

this place helps keep me alive. Granted i know several of the employees, but i'd still eat here if i didn't. as most people have already said, the don is where it's at. They bake the bread all thorughout the day so it's very possible the bread'll still be warm when you're eating your very fairly priced sandwich. Oh. they have good soups during the winter and fall months. Funny thing...silvermine subs is across the street and they couldn't give me their subs for free. fat jack's is that serious. that good.

Its decent, expensive for what you get. Its pretty much Jimmy Johns, same bread, similar menu, etc.. I prefer JJs though, a bit cheaper and better subs.

  • Mandy M.

This place is absolutely horrible. First of all, being that the name is Fat Jack's Super SUBS; you think you'd be getting a sandwich on a hoagie roll of some sort. I went there and they asked "wheat bread ok?" By wheat bread I assumed a wheat roll, but no, it was definitely 2 slices of wheat bread. When I looked behind the counter I didn't even see other types of bread anywhere. I got the turkey bacon "sub", and the ingredients looked like something I could have pulled out of my refrigerator. Also - I asked for no mustard and after the sandwich maker confirmed my request for 'no mustard', I ended up with mustard anyway. For $7.50 a sandwich - this was sub-par at best. I will never eat here again and urge all of you not to waste your money.

Awesome sandwiches! Great bread and ingredients, plus friendly guys/gals putting them together. I am pretty sure I have tried at least every sandwich twice and they are all good, but if I had to choose, the VITO is pretty darn tasty :) Get here NOW if your hungry !

OMG! I just went here with a few of my friends and this was hands down the best dinning experience of my life. Not only did we got some bomb ass subs, but our sub master Kenan informed us that it was their 10 year anniversary and we were given free drinks and chips. Walking home at 1:34 in the morning, I just couldn't be anything but impressed with my experience and the delicious sub i was prepared. Jimmy Con's is a joke. Don't skip out, go with Fat Jacks! Give Kenan Thomas A Raise!

I'm not impressed. I just called looking for a sandwich for delivery and the guy was like, "meeeeh we don't really deliver there" (I'm in the Lower Highlands RIGHT across the interstate). Lame sauce. I guess don't take my business for me & my friends.

Fat Jack's has THE BEST sandwiches I've found anywhere in Denver. Their bread is absolutely divine. I am hooked on the Gold Coast; it has made me a fan of turkey sandwiches! The sandwiches are a little pricey, but the ingredients are so fresh and of such quality I don't mind paying a couple bucks more. I definitely recommend any of their sandwiches; they're put together with a lot of thought as to what tastes best. It's also great how late they're open!

1 word: omnomnomnomnom. I think what keeps me craving these beautiful sammies is the delicious, soft pillows of bready goodness that embrace all the lovely ingredients within. But the insides make me happy too. They really pay attention to quality ingredients here, from succulent meats and creamy cheeses to red, flavorful tomatoes. And, with all of the sandwiches I've tried, they nail those flavor combinations perfectly. What I mean to say is, they know what vegetables and condiments will complement each sandwich just right, so every bite is the perfect bite. This is my go-to late night delivery place, especially on a sunday night after a long weekend of drinking and acting the fool. The one with Turkey and Bacon or the one with Turkey and Avocado always hit the spot right before I want to pass out. It's simple food put together perfectly.

Well, when my car's transmission went, I was in the market for some, good reliable delivery. First of all the prices are pretty good, and the meal option is the best deal. I usually go with the Giovanni or Don, which is thier version of the Italian, and it has tasted as it should every time. I still think Jimmy Johns is better, but this place is not too far behind. Beats Subway and Quiznos anyday! They deliver till 3am! which makes me feel like I'm in college again. So if you are a fan of Jimmy Johns, Fat Jacks is basically the same thing. Good Stuff.

My husband and I have always been big fans of Fat Jack's, but mostly we've ordered our sandwiches here instead of other sandwich places because they carry Mello Yellow (a Coke product). We recently went to order sandwiches for delivery and were told the shop had moved to Pepsi products, which means no more Mello Yellow, which means my husband won't order here ever again (I know, it sounds crazy, but he's devoted). An employee suggested we Yelp about it because the owners might reconsider the switch and go back to Coke Products. I guess we'll check every once in a while to see if they switch back, but in the meantime, we'll find somewhere else.

Pretty good subs, reminds me of Jimmy Johns. I tried them because they were the only sandwich shop that would deliver to Wash Park on a Friday evening. Price isn't so bad either.

everything about this place is amazing! the staff is friendly and fast! the bread is so soft and fresh, the veggies so crisp and juicy! the meats and cheeses are sliced so perfectly! the spicy mustard, to die for. there's convienent parking just north of the building, if you're on a bike, they let you bring it inside, or you can stay at home and order delivery... even late! they're pretty nice to dogs too.

You will not possibly find anything better to eat in Denver at 3am than "The Don" supersub from Fat Jacks. Go ahead and try. I dare you.

Tucked away around the corner, It is not actually on Colfax as the address says. You'll find it on Lafayette facing Video-1. Fat Jacks is a No Frills Sub Shop serving quality sandwiches. Open late (after the bars close) make it perfect for those late night cravings. Try the Don.

I love Jimmy John's, but my favorite sandwich shop in Denver has to be Fat Jack's. It's the best. The Gold Coast, Beefeater, and the Don are all great. But I'm sure everything else on the menu is probably just as good. They have the best bread.

Can yelp please let me put half a star. ARE YOU PEOPLE KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!!! either fat jack him self paid everyone of that gave him a good review or your all so out of your mind and have lost complete sense of what food taste like. So after reading and taking your advice I went to the shop to get a bite to eat, first off the sub took under a min to make, What do they have these pre made or something, anyway I took a bit a almost died with laughter! I'm thinking what the F&*^ did i just pay $8.00 for ! To say this is the best sando place in Denver makes me sick!!!! I have never been this fired up about how bad a place can be, yet still be in business. So after eating this 5inch sub we actually had to go find some more to eat since we were so starving. PLEASE PLEASE never go to this shop. I hate to say it but your better off spending your money at a subway of all places. GOD I HATE YOU FAT JACK!!!!!!! In such a bad time for the world you make it harder to live!! I'm going to actually see if I can call a lawyer and bring you to small claims court and sue your ass for my money back!
