I stopped by here on my way back from a print workshop in South Dakota and I was not disappointed. The bartender Danny (I believe) recognized me from my visit last Fall and was very attentive to my drinking and dining needs. I had an order of fried pickles, the 10oz prime rib, and some cheesecake for desert. Awesomesauce! The Avery IPA's were darn good, too. I was very happy with this visit. Darcy's has yet to disappoint me. I will be coming back in late August as I have some business in Denver at that time. Darcy's better be ready for me. ;)

Good Irish food, decent Irish'y beer. The atmosphere is better than you'd think from the outside. The best part though is their weekend brunch. Not advertised, they serve mimosa's, bloody mary's, coffee and about 5 breakfast items, from 10am-4pm. You read that right, if you wake up late but really want breakfast to recover, Darcy's will feed you that breakfast food till 4pm on the weekends. I have to recommend the "Irish Breakfast" too. It comes with Bangers, Rashers, blood and white pudding, mushrooms, tomatoes, eggs, and a thick slice of Irish brown bread. Their Irish Bangers, which later in the day may be a little stale from being under a heat lamp for too long, are crazy good on a Saturday morning. They also have a nice porch and garage doors to let in that fresh breeze on nice days. During the snowy winters, they have big fireplaces to sit by.

Hey, another pub! Just what DTC needs! Seriously, there are too many. You would think this would inspire healthy competition, but they are all just mediocre, this one included. It is smallish, so don't even try on St. Pat's. They have a cool retro feel with the giant bar and some fancy tile work. They were very busy when we were there, but our server took good care of us. Boring beer menu. Need to catch up with the rest of Colorado and have some fun stuff. Irish or Scottish beers, we get it. There are some amazing local stouts and ales that are made traditionally. Oskar Blues Old Chub Scotch Ale? You will sell a lot of it. Some interesting sounding food on the menu, but it was all "meh" once it came to us. We had Irish Nachos (potato chips, corned beef, horseradish sauce, etc.). The sauce was great, but the chunks of beef were too big and had to be cut. Not enough toppings. Chips were stale. *sigh* The "adult" mac and cheese? What on earth made it "adult"? Never figured that out. We were sitting near the bar and there was an odor...sewery. It kept wafting around our table. Very off-putting. Need to get that fixed.

They do have some good food + drink specials from time to time but otherwise don't bother with the food it's pretty generic. I can't remember anything I've eaten here honestly, granted there's only a few veggie options to begin with, mostly fried. The only food I remember is the fish and chips my husband ordered because it smelled really off and didn't taste right to him. He had a cubano sandwich another time that was good though. The main reason for the two star review is the service. Everyone seems friendly enough but if you're only stopping in for a few happy hour drinks good luck getting the check. On several occasions I had to chase the server down once they realized we were only staying for a few drinks because they just didn't come back to our table. Once I can forgive but this has happened every time we've gone in and it's never busy enough to excuse avoiding our table.

Ate here Friday night with friends sat outside on patio. Wife and I eat here twice a month, as we can walk from our house. The patio is great in the summer months. Food is good for pub food and great beer selection. Decent happy hour also. Always enjoy our visit. Sometimes inattentive bar service. One draw back, management does not enforce the non-smoking ordinance. During our 60 minute dinner, three different times, the same four smokers lit up on the patio. The smoke and stench can not be avoided, and is drawn inside via the open garage doors. When I spoke to the manager, he apologize and walked away, while they were smoking!

This place has an extremely active trivia night on Saturdays. There were at least 30 teams and lucky for user came out 20th the week we came. If your party is more than 6 people, you'll need to split up. But there are plenty of teams of two, so no worries! People here are friendly. There are 8 rounds and and lightning question when you run up to turn in your paper. Send a quick thinker. Luckily, it's happy hour by the time your halfway through trivia night. They serve beer, and assortment of cocktails, and wine. I was happy to find the merlot. The appetizers work well with the cocktails and the serves are knowledgable and polite. If it's winter, avoid a table by the door. It can get a bit chilly.

I've been here twice. Service is good, but not ideal. Our bartender didn't seem like he wanted to be there and our server, at another time, was fairly slow. And we were the only table during a brunch. I had eggshells in my eggs, quite a bit. But the happy hour apps we got were great. I feel like it's hit or miss here, it's not going to stop me from coming back. But the whole eggshell thing made me re think that.

Nothing special. Ok happy hour specials, but you can find just about everything on the menu elsewhere, for a better price and better quality. Service was mediocre. We ordered the fried pickles (bland, small handful) and the shrimp street tacos (two tacos with none-fresh shrimp and lots of watery sweet chili sauce). We also had the Reuben (good, but no different from competitors) and the fish and chips (bland). DO NOT order the cheesecake, it was more like cream cheese cake. -look at the picture!

I really feel like this place is being misrepresented by outdated reviews, so I hope to give credit where credit is due here. Unlike most people, I did not have HH here, rather it was a central place to meet friends for dinner one night. It seemed like a good option based on the location (thankfully a weekend early evening so we managed to find parking in the terrible lot) and the menu had something for everyone including my kids. The food was good. It wasn't great, but it was a step above ho-hum chain food and priced just right. It's not often that my family of 4 can go out to eat for under $40- helped by the fact that apparently on Saturday nights kid's meals are $1.50 (regularly $3.95- super nice surprise!). I had the bangers and mash, and though the potatoes and gravy were a tad on the salty side I did enjoy my meal. My husband had a salad that was a large portion and he enjoyed it. Typical kid's meal offerings, but be warned that if your kid is like my 7 year old and only likes Kraft Mac n Cheese, then they'll be disappointed as it appears they make their own. And it's good. Like Mommy needed a few bites good. We did not partake of beverages here as we were headed to a beer festival, so I cannot comment on the bar offerings. The restaurant has lots of seating options and it's open without getting too loud. Decor is on the upscale side and everything was clean. Service was very good- there when you needed them, and gone when you didn't. All in all, this was a very good dining experience and I wouldn't hesitate to go to Darcy's again for a relatively inexpensive and low key dinner. And if it's been awhile since you've been to Darcy's, I suggest you try it again.

What an absolute failure!!! My friend and I ordered a salad and we asked for chicken instead of ham. The salad came out with both on it. The salad was sent back and it took at least 15 minutes for a remake. However looking through the leftovers it is clear they did not remake the salad they only attempted to pick out the ham because I have just found a piece of ham in my left overs. If I had a true allergy to pork, this would be a major violation. On top of this all the manager never came over and apologized nor did the server offer to remove anything from the bill. I was considering going back for whiskey and karaoke but not if this is how Darcy's operates.

Traveling for work, my coworker and I popped in here for a quick bite to eat (no happy hour for us, sadly). It's got a nice outdoor patio, but that was completely full. We were longing to sit outside, though, so we settled for the outside bar seating. The place was busy with a lunch crowd, but not totally packed. I ordered the spinach goat cheese salad. It was really good - great lunch option. I did order the dressing on the side (gotta save calories where I can), so I know exactly what it was missing Regardless, the salad would be better with either more goat cheese or more candied pecans. My coworker got the burger and fries, which was huge and delicious. Our waiter was practically non-existent the whole time. We watched other tables come and go while we were still waiting to order, get a refill, get the check, etc. It's not that he was busy serving too many tables...he just literally was nowhere to be found! Not sure what was going on there. I'm pretty picky about service - I'm not an unusually demanding guest, but the service is the primary reason I eat out. The saving grace of the lunch, though, was that the manager realized we had been there for a ridiculously long time and started taking care of us. He took a little off our check and was very apologetic. That's exactly what he should have done in our situation, so I applaud him for that! This place has potential. I enjoyed the seating area and the meal, so I'd risk a long lunch to visit again.

Food was actually very good! The portion sizes were a bit small, and their beer options were not spectacular. The service was a little slower than we wished but the server was very entertaining. If you are going to be staying at the Denver tech center I would recommend. Try the fried pickles!

Adult Mac and cheese was tasty. Service was great- I was meeting a friend I hadn't seen in a while, and our server did a great job of reading our need to gossip and drink for a while before ordering.

I am staying at the hyatt regency and the gentleman who works at concierge is extremely accommodating. He drove me to Darcy's pub and recommended that the burgers were awesome. I was tired from my flight and just wanted to get something quick. The waitress greeted me and was amazingly sweet and attentive. I didn't catch her name but that she had blonde hair lol. I ordered 5 buffalo wings and a black and bleu burger with sweet potato fries. Since it was takeout and sitting in the container till I got to my room it was a bit soggy. But it was still good. The burger I had cooked medium and it was delicious. The sweet potato fries was DELICIOUS!!! And I can tell it was made in house and not frozen which I love! Great takeout and if I'm ever back I will revisit!!!

I don't think I've ever hated a restaurant more than this. They served me undercooked chicken and when I pointed it out the waitress brought me a plate to remove the chicken and just eat the rest. I told her I couldn't do that,I'm not eating your pan seared salmonella. Someone is going to get horribly sick at this place. She then said she took it off the bill but split my bill with someone else so yes I paid for undercooked chicken I didn't eat. On top of all this the waitress had a terrible attitude since we walked in and barely paid attention to us.

Great place for happy hour in the DTC. Cool pub atmosphere but classy. Servers and bartenders are awesome and worth going for just them!!! Great selection of beers with good specials and happy hour prices! There daily food specials are great and very delicious!

The kitchen doesn't much care for the food they cook. The chef doesn't seem to care either. The staff doesn't care about the food, it feels more like they tolerate having to serve it. The food Darcy's, the food!!! It is a full fifty percent of your business!!!

In search of some trivia on a Saturday night, four of us headed to Darcy's around 7:30. The crowd is definitely older, but as it got later there were more 20/30 somethings there. We ordered a few beers to get started. I ordered a stella which only comes in a larger glass (20oz), presumably so they could charge more. Because every night isn't complete without a party foul, I proceeded to knock over my huge, full beer. I asked for a smaller glass as a replacement, but was informed that I could only get the 20oz. What's more, I was charged for both beers, even though our waitress knew I spilled it shortly after getting it and that the second one was a replacement. After we requested, she did get permission from her manager to remove one of the beers, but still, who does that? We ordered a bunch of appetizers for the table: artichoke dip, queso dip and wings. The artichoke dip was served luke warm and we all agreed that Applebees/Chilis has better artichoke dip. The Queso was cold and we had to send it back to get it heated up. The wings weren't good at all either- not sure how you can be a pub without decent wings. What kept us there was the trivia night, which lasted 2 hours and was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, even when I checked with the waitress who seated us to make sure that we had a good seat for trivia (we arrived an hour before just to get a good spot) she assured us it was a "great" spot which we later discovered we were behind the speakers and had a difficult time hearing the questions. We all decided we would not be going back and would find somewhere else for trivia in the future.

Inside gets stuffy pretty quick unless you sit at the bar. We sat outside and other than the smoking section blowing over once in awhile, I'd say outside happy hour is the time and place to be. Our waiter Justin was awesome. He was a smartass, comical, and welcoming. This made our experience even better. Happy hour pricing is great for food and drinks as well. I like this spot a lot. Give a go and leave with a smile.

My family and I have been here twice and I've ordered to-go once. The first time was to-go on St. Pat's Day (corn beef and cabbage) and it was great. The 1st time my family and I ate there, the food tasted good but took a long time to come out. Plus, we were there on a weekend night and kids eat for $1.50 on the weekends. We were charged full price for the kids meal, but that was corrected after we told our waiter. The 2nd time we ate there, it took a long time to even get drinks which usually not a good sign. The food, once again, took a long time to come out. My husband saw my fish and chips sut on the counter ready to come out for 10 minutes. Fries were cold, fish was okay. My husband ordered a burger and French onion soup which he said tasted good. My daughter's grilled cheese and fruit were good as well. The happy hour menu says 3-7 every day. Guinness is clearly on the happy hour menu. I ordered my Guinness a few minutes before 7. Our check did not reflect the happy hour price. When we approached our waitress about it, she said she would correct it because happy hour is actually all day. Then she returned to our table to tell us Guinness is not on the happy hour menu. The Happy Hour menu clearly states Guinness as a happy hour option and why wouldn't it be at an Irish pub? We will not be returning.

It has been almost a year since I have here, and actually was looking forward to it. I come to this area for a couple of months in the winter to work for the past couple of years. Friendly wait staff, a good atmosphere, just like I remembered. Ordered a Perfect Manhattan, Makers Mark and the Adult Mac and Cheese with Blackened Chicken. Great job, bartender. You have great skills. Great job, chef in the back, such a simple sounding dish: the key is what the ingredients are and the detail in preparation. I truly was as good as I remembered. I like this place, and highly recommend it. Give Darcy's a try.

Great spot if you're looking for a place to eat in the DTC area. I recommend any of the burger/sandwiches on the menu. The mussels are fantastic too. Great selection of beers on tap. Packed during the week, usually pretty dead on the weekends. Outdoor seating is available. Cons: Salmon and artichoke dip are not good - WAY too salty.

    (4)
  • Jem C.

This place is passable. Nothing special on tap, and food is "just ok". Nothing on the menu really stands out. The service has not once been exceptional (slow, and it almost pains most of the servers to smile or it's like they have someplace else they'd rather be.. Heaven forbid I have a question or a special request).. Again.. Simply passable.

Had a great time at Darcy's when we visited after our meetings in Denver. DO NOT sit up close to the front door, you will freeze to death when it's cold out, just a warning. They need to fix how slow the doors close, I needed my jacket on the whole time so I didn't freeze to death, toes got a little numb. The food and beer selection was excellent, and the restaurant manager walks around and checks on you from time to time, which I liked. We got appetizers first, the mussels and calamari was superb, especially for pub cuisine. I got the Reuben as I always do in Irish pubs, Deeelicious, a very good Reuben. Loved the stylish Rye bread, very fresh and tasty, the corned beef was fresh and hot, and it wasn't piled full of sauerkraut, just enough to make the perfect Reuben. Clean atmosphere, a good place to unwind after work. 4 Stars... fix the slow closing front doors, so Texas visitors don't freeze when seated near it ;)

We stopped in here the other day for a business lunch. The service was fairly fast, but nothing spectacular. The food was pretty good. I had a french dip. The meat was good, and the Au Jus was tasty. I was drinking water, but I only had a small water glass. It was the size of like a small juice glass. Put your hand around it and you can almost cover the whole thing up. The waitress left a carafe of water, and I literally filled my glass up about 15-20 times, adding ice cubes everytime until it was overflowing. Pain in my butt. I considered giving this 3-stars just for that, but...... ok, I'll put up with it. I doubt I will eat here again based on the price and based on the variety of other eateries in the area.

With the warm weather here to stay, my bf and I decided to check out the digs in our new neighborhood and stumbled upon Darcy's across the street! Here's the breakdown: D = Deals, deals, deals! They offer a killer happy hour, tivia and live music throughout the week/weekend! A = Awesome staff. We were greeted right away, with smiles and felt very welcome upon arrival :) R = Roomy bar area and patio! We sat outside and loved it! C = Cute, homey and typical wood clad Irish decor! Y = Yummy eats! We noshed on the chicken wings and split the French Dip sandy, which was good, but meat lacked flavoring. ' S = Step worth distance! So close, I have a feeling I'll be here more often than not! :)

Darcy's is a staple for the DTC after work crowd. They have great specials for happy hour and a decent amount of seating if you're cavorting with a large group. However, I cannot give more than 2 stars, even for cheap drinks. The food here is underwhelming. I realize this is not supposed to be gourmet dining but give me something that amounts to palatable bar food, please! Is that too much to ask? I'm not being overly fussy either. I've tried a variety of the appetizers here: sweet potato fries (worst I've ever had); pizza; calamari, polenta etc. Everything was truly "meh" and I believe I'm being generous. The only appetizer menu item that was halfway decent was the hot wings...and I cannot vouch for their consistency. Glancing at the reviews, I see I'm not the only person who isn't in love with the food at Darcy's. Somehow they manage to pull the crowds in night after night. I can't say that I understand it but apparently they're doing something right.

Continuing out after margarita's at Las Brisas - next stop on the tour was Darcy's Bistro and Pub. They have some wonderful outdoor patio seating for groups or pairs. It got a little chilly and our waitress was kind enough to let us move our little bit rowdy table indoors. She was a wonderful waitress. Two of us did share the queso and chips and it was on point, the cheese was packed with flavor and we licked the bowl clean. I would say the downside here is the prices, prices, prices! They are high even for happy hour. Most of there HH dishes are still full price for dinner plates. They would do well to allow half orders of some things for a lower price for those of us that don't want dinner, just a couple snacks.

Went to Darcy's for a business lunch. Wanted to slug down a few pints, but, opted for iced tea instead. With all the dark woods , I would definitely like to come back for happy hour after work and polish off a few pints... Ordered the Reuben with fries --- huge portion of grub. Rye bread was fantastic, pastrami was tender and not tough, sauerkraut was spot on --- arguably one of the best Reubens I have eaten in recent memory. Service was good, waitresses were easy on the eyes, food came out quickly...solid establishment. Would you expect anything less from a fine Irish eating/drinking establishment?? Would definitely come back next time I'm in the DTC.

So, we walked in a beautiful Sunday afternoon wanting to eat on the patio. The sign said to see the hostess. Ok, but where's the hostess. The bartender notices us but says nothing to us nor does he attempt to come seat us. The kitchen folks see us, say something to the bartender, which makes him look up and see us but then continues to ignore us. After standing there for a 3 or so minutes we leave. Go to Somewhere else where we we promptly greeted at the door and sat. Oh, and Darcy's was not busy to warrant being ignored. Normally a great place but today was an epic failure.

Located in the DTC area this is a nice pub style place that is good for a tasty lunch. You have indoor and patio seating and a staff is always cheerful and service has always been very good. It can get pretty busy at lunch though and parking can be a pain but they have a parking garage that if you get there early you'll get a space. I go here often for lunch and I must say that they have one of the best burgers in the business. The Angus burger is so fresh and juicy that you don't even need to add condiments.

Great little spot in DTC with an awesome happy hour menu. $3 craft beers and a variety of appetizer's. Avery IPA and calamari. Calamari was mediocre but it was priced fairly. I'll definitely be back be for happy hour.

Overall, 4 stars for the experience and value. I give the happy hour appetizers 3 stars because nothing extraordinary stands out. Typical pub fare but at outrageously LOW prices (which I always love). Free Wi Fi means I can take my laptop with me, work and have wine and cheap appys at the same time. Can't beat that any which way you try. The happy hour glass of wine is filled to the rim. My kind of place. Bartender with an accent, very easy on the eyes and wasn't wearing a ring ladies......

I used to go to Darcy's a few years ago, but stopped because they allowed dogs inside. I love dogs, but not when they try to eat my food right off the table. I went back a couple of weeks ago for brunch. Some things have improved, some things are the same. The food seems better--a bit more interesting. The last time I was there, we were served chicken fingers that you might find in a middle school cafeteria. The service is still the same, if not worse. We waited an entire hour to have our food order taken. The server handed our drinks and plates to us - she didn't place them on the table--very strange. She was not friendly or the slightest bit attentive. My friends said she's like that all the time. Given the choices in the area, I wouldn't go back to Darcy's.

Um, the brie app is the bee's knees. I would tackle my own child to eat the whole of it, her hunger be damned. Having said that the chicken pot pie was just plain weird, and also sour, though the grilled chicken sandwich was good and the same kid I might have tackled seemed to love her brunch Denver omelet with all the fixins. The food is solid, is what I'm saying, and the servers smile a lot, seeming to be more than efficient. Outdoor seating makes me and apparently lots of others happy, as does the live music. Most importantly -- and let it not go unsaid -- this place is a sight better than that joint down the street...more authentic feeling and just plain fine.

Absolutely Awful! Definitely poor Customer Care! Had I had the option, I wouldn't have even given them ONE star based on the experience I just had. Here's the gist: When a customer orders a specific item and the server brings the wrong food, wouldn't one think that the restaurant would offer to comp the patron for the incorrect order? My friend ordered a Panini, and was brought the wrong sandwich. To make matters worse, the server told him that what she had served him WAS the Panini!. So we went to get the menu and lo and behold!, he WAS served the wrong sandwich. And so he patiently waited to get the correct sandwich. And he patiently waited and watched as the rest of us we ate. Here's my thing! Wouldn't one think that if the restaurant, kitchen or server (it doesn't matter who) had screwed up his order, that the management would have offered to comp him? Well it wasn't comped, and even when we made mention of it, and told the server that his meal ought to be comped, her response was, "Let me check!" as she scurried off with his credit card. Well, either she didn't ask or she was told no, but instead she skulked back with his credit card receipt with no mention of the situation or even telling us that Management had said NO! REALLY? I have to say we have been to Darcy's several times and the food is adequate and the service friendly. However, on a Sunday night when the place is 3/4ths empty, wouldn't one think that it would be smart business to offer customers satisfaction?

Darcy's is a bit of a conundrum: one side is a bright, comfy restaurant while the other side is a warm Irish bar, decked out with the typical wooden theme. Although it seems like two different concepts got smashed together, it works somehow. My friend Pam and I decided to sit at a high-top table in the bar area and were promptly served up the awesome happy hour menu. We ordered some delicious brews (Kilkenny! woohoo!) and some tasty French Fry-creations: cheesy fries and curry fries. Both were great apps, although they both would've been much better had we been served silverware. Trying to eat fries drowning in curry was a bit difficult! I was only in the app sort-of mood, so I didn't look too extensively at the regular menu. I'll save that for another night out. Overall, not a bad little spot in the DTC! I'd much rather frequently this little spot than Baker's Street, located almost directly across the street from Darcy's. The crowd here seemed a little more laid back, which I dug. Good food, good drinks, a bit loud but nothing extreme, and slightly spotty service. I'm willing to come back, check out the regular menu and sit on the patio on a warm night.

Darcy's is one of those rare restaurants that you can find in a strip mall, but once you walk in the door, you forgot you're in a strip mall. With inviting Irish pub decor that is realistic and not over-the-top, it's a great relaxing place for a casual dinner or drinks with friends. In the summertime they raise their roll-up window between the bar and patio, making for a great place to enjoy the warm weather with a cold beer. Darcy's has great happy hour specials (both early & late) and daily specials, but you'll see me there mostly on Saturday nights. That's when Geeks Who Drink arrive with their trivia contest, and it's a blast! If you time it right you can enjoy some happy hour drinks before trivia begins, and get some late-night happy hour snacks when it wraps up! Good times!

Meh is right with this place. The food was just mediocre and the service for an supposed Irish Pub was really weak. Several times I was looking for a refill or assistance changing the tv channel to a different ncaa game. I think this place should go to being just a bar not a pub and it might be more fitting, or maybe the owners could go check out a few real Irish pubs and see how it's done properly.

The first time we tried to come here was in January 2014 and it was randomly closed for a late Xmas party for the staff, so the manager gave us a coupon for a free app to come back another time. We just now came back to try it tonight (4-30-14) and it was a terrible experience. We waited at the hostess stand to be seated for a good 10 mins before someone came to seat us. The place was about half occupied so there wasn't a wait or crazy busy, just the staff were chatting at the bar and being inattentive. We were in a good mood and hungry so we decided to look past that and give the food a try. After being seated, again took another 15 mins to get our drink order then another 10 mins to even get our drinks. Still waiting it out, we order the artichoke dip and 2 burgers, all were pretty decent. I'm not very picky when it comes to food, but when the service is terrible, that's when I get turned off by a restaurant. I work in the service industry too so I get it, and that's probably why I can't give any more than 1 star to this place. If you're in a hurry I would not recommend coming here.

This is a much more laid back bar then Baker St across the way- a lot of that due to their tucked away location. I love the outside bar area and while the crowd isn't exactly lively it's definitely a fun place to hang out. They have a good wine selection and their food is decent. They are a wee bit more expensive than I'd like so I have to watch my tab here but all in all it's definitely worth a visit.

I have met up at Darcy's a good 5 times while living in Denver. As far as Centennial and the Tech Center goes, Darcy's is my type of pub destination. I usually meet up after work on a Friday for a happy hour beer and seem to stay the rest of the night sucking down more cold beers and having dinner. Their outdoor patio, mostly of concrete above a parking lot, is still a good place to enjoy a frosty cold beer during the warmer months. Darcy's bar is also a nice place to mingle with others. Since Darcy's is an Irish type pub, it does have that resemblance to what I've been to in Ireland, almost. The beers on tap are super cold and service I have had has always been good. When they get busy, the service does slow down a bit. If I'm going to be there for more than 2 or 3 hours, I realize this. I enjoy watching the crowd flavor and dynamics change, great people watching and good people to talk to. After a good time at Darcy's sometimes we head over to Baker Street Pub across the street for their live music on the weekends. I'm much more a fan of Darcy's than Baker Street, it's just a much larger scene close by.

I was looking for a fun place to go on St Patrick's Day, no not the Saturday before St Patricks Day but actually St Patricks Day. After researching opportunities near DTC I landed on Darcy's to start my day, WOW, I am glad that I did. I had an Irish breakfast that tasted like it arrived strait out of Ireland. The rashers and sausage were as authentic as they get. I also really enjoyed the yorkshire pudding, Irish soda bread and cooked tomatoes. It reminded me of the breakfasts that I enjoyed every morning on my tour across Ireland. I also decided to indulge in a bloody mary, not to Irish but very tasty. It had great seasoning and just enough spice to clear out my nostrils. Given the rave reviews that I have for the food and drinks, my only minor disappointment was the service. I found the staff friendly and engaging but at times it appeared as though they were overwhelmed and somewhat inattentive. On another day this might have been a bigger deal but, this was a lazy Sunday and St Patricks Day so I didn't mind as much. I will be sure to return to this quaint little establishment to see if they can win me over with other wonderful dishes that remind me of my amazing trip only a few years ago.

Darcy's is my go-to place in the Greenwood Village area to watch football games on Sundays. The pub doesn't get overcrowded like most bars on Sundays during football season, and it's in a quiet and upscale neighborhood. The food's a bit overpriced for what it is but I recommend the buffalo chicken wings, the breakfast burrito, and the sliders. The decor makes it feel like an authentic Irish pub, and they decorate for every holiday. Tip: on some weekday nights they give chocolate chip cookie samples, and they're delicious.

Right across the street from my new home is an Irish-themed pub. Took me long enough. It's a bar. It's a DTC bar, but still a bar. Looks like a good spot for happy hour and gatherings and such, but I came for dinner. I sat at the bar and started with a pint. There was a new beer that I wanted to try, but alas, they were out. The selection of draughts is pretty good, so I overcame. Looking at the menu I saw quite a few choices, so I asked the bartender for her favorite, and she suggested the roasted corned beef and cabbage. Not bad at all. It was served with fesh green beens, carrots, red potatoes, and horseradish sauce. The beans were the best. The horseradish was extremely mild, and if you've read my reviews, you know that to be a let-down for me. The corned beef was tasty, though, and the sauce made a nice compliment to it. I looked at the dessert menu but didn't really see anything that appealed to me. The downside would be the prices. A little too expensive for bar food, I felt. I guess it's the location, but I can get the same food at other pubs for a few bucks less. Still, I think it's a good place, I'm interested in going back with friends for some appetizers and booze, as well as weekend breakfast. I am interested in trying the adult mac and cheese and the Irish nachos. And they have 5 different kinds of Irish whisky to sample. Since I live across the street, I'm sure I will try them all one night. I'll be back.

Stopped in for family happy hour recently and had a good experience. Sat on the patio and 20 minutes after we arrived, there wasn't a seat left in the place! Waitstaff was very attentive and on top of things. We started with the chips and salsa and while the salsa had a decent kick to it, it tasted eerily like marinara sauce to my palate. Not a good surprise when expecting salsa flavor! Everyone enjoyed their meals, 2 had the happy hour andouille sausage and said it was very good with a kick. Burger was decent but nothing to write home about. Beer selection is very good and as an added bonus, the Guinness girls were there giving away free pints of Guinness with a take home glass! They were celebrating their 10 year anniversary with specials all week so it was very busy. Parking in the area SUCKS unless you own a Vespa or a Smartcar... Overall decent place and good service so I'm sure we'll rotate it into our happy hour locations again.

I'm a big fan of Darcy's for their happy hours and lunch. I visit Darcy's a few times a year and have always liked their service, food, and cider. This is a great place to go for a happy hour in the tech center.

We would go here every saturday night for geeks who drink trivia with quizmaster johnny. They no longer do trivia there so we no longer go there. Their food selection process was quite odd and since we went there for about 3 years we saw items come and go. Some made sense others even the staff wondered why they got rid of it. Some of the tops- open faced avocado chicken ranch melt pub chips ( think potato chips) freshly fried served with ketchup adult mac and cheese cheesecake any burger or chicken burger french dip pub wedge (think this one is a gone now) wings mimosas most items we have to say have 1 ingredient that they are trying to be cutey, or more irish and it makes the whole dish sound off.

This is my go-to eatery for lunch, dinner, happy hour and late night!!! The food is great, the atmosphere is fun and inviting and the service is excellent. I have never had a bad experience at Darcy's. Once on St Patty's day I even bumped into my high school Social Studies teacher, if that doesn't make you love a place I don't know what will. If you are in the mood to sample the menu I would recommend the Adult Mac and Cheese, Steak Boxty or really anything on the menu. They offer a late night Tapas menu and drink specials, my kind of place!!! Plus the outdoor space is great for people watching.

Cute interior, smoke free patio, relatively cheap eats, and yummy eats, so so on the staff, parking could get tough on a weekend. Finally make it to this establishment for a team bonding experience. We got there right after happy hour ended - of course! Draft prices are on par. And they have Paulaner, Shock Top and Blue Moon on tap - wooot! We started with the Brie and Irish Nachos. Brie was pretty good, but the nachos - seriously how can you go wrong with corned beef and cheese on chips! Sweet! The last appetizer we partook of was a steak pizza, bruchetta thingy. It was ok - but probably not worth the 11 buck aroos. The waitress we got was not the friendliest gal on the block. We arrived in waves, all wanted drinks, and some food. She disappeared after the drinks and we had to order through the hostess to get our food. They are also quick with clearing the plates - there was still one peice on the steak pizza thing in the middle of the table - everyone playing coy with not wanting to eat the last peice, and pretty much it came down to - who managed to keep their fork! It was definitely a loud place, so keep that in mind if you want to get all cozy with your honey. Although there is a cool room that can be closed in the back, that could probably be used for that as well. Or a small party too. I would definitely return if i was in the area - or to meet up with girl friends as a location we could all meet at. Or maybe for lunch! There are some things on the menu i want to get a chance to try!

Nice atmosphere and good martinis. A happy hour that isn't really remarkable, but ok. The corned beef sliders are worth trying out. I enjoy how the bar is laid-out in a double-horseshoe arrangement, making it seem more convivial or something. Usually this place seems to have a stale vibe. Just not much energy. Don't know what would help. It's just never as attractive to me as the Baker Street almost directly across Ulster, despite my general distaste for chain restaurants.

Not a bad little pub. It's across from Baker Street on South Ulster in the Tech Center (which I LOVE) so this had to be pretty solid to better my Baker experience. It...fell short. But it was good. Diverse clientele, but about what you'd expect for the tech center. Service was good; Quick enough (could've been faster but who knew a guy my height could consume Guinness so quickly? perhaps I should have shown them my beer gut.) Split some mac and cheese with the lady friend which really isn't mac and cheese at all, it's pasta with cheese sauce -- but delicious. If you're a classic mac and cheese fan though, avoid it. Friend had a cheesesteak of sorts and it was also incredibly tasty. Large portions of food, good drinks, and a cute joint. Unfortunately the beer I preferred was not part of happy hour, and the time at which we got hungry was past happy hour so none of our bill was cheap. Because the only reason I ever attend happy hour is because of it's price -- I was disappointed at both these facts. Unfortunately even though the food at Darcy's is better, the price at Baker Street (as well as its size, game availability, and giant effing patio) make that my preferred place. But, Darcy's is good, fun and definitely worth a stop in.

I really think this bar just ended up in the wrong spot...I mean it has all the makings of a super crowded awesome hang out but because its basically in a business park its kind of a M-F place. Otherwise I think it's solid. This is basically how I feel about this place... close your eyes and picture Tobey Maguire: wasted face. Singing karaoke...with out having the words on a screen because possibly the worst KJ in all of Denver sets up at Darcy's. That was me. (Tobey Maguire gets told he looks like me...ALL THE TIME). Either I was too drunk to read the words on the screen or they weren't there. I mean don't get me wrong...I still nailed it. To summarize, my feelings about this place are blurry, spidery, really like all the booze they served me-y, and blown away by the fact that I didn't get kicked out of this place. I think you should go there but I wouldnt go out of my way to get there.

Darcy's is probably one of the most laid back places in the DTC. The only disappointment is that they no longer have strongbow on tap. Good food though and always a good place to hang out with friends.

As far as places in the Tech Center to have happpy hour go, this is probably my favorite so far. It's really open, airy and bright. The service is fine and the happy hour food menu is varied. All these things make it an okay place to me. Also, they have a giant patio which is a great place to enjoy a beer on one of our many beautiful Colorado evenings. The atmosphere does feel a little like an upscale Bennigan's as I believe someone mention, but without that sense of desperation those chains have, so I like it well enough. Parking seems kind of cramped, but that's not really anything new to me when dealing with Tech Center bars.

This was an interesting place. I came here around 9pm on a monday with some friends I hadn't seen in years. We all grew up around here and somehow found our way back for the holidays. This is an Irish themed pub but I was surprised that for a Denver bar, they only had one local brew on tap. They had some great ones, but sometimes i just want a good local beer. The ambiance was uneventful. The server was very good and just attentive enough.

I'm not really sure what to say about Darcy's. I don't have anything bad to say, my experience there was very average: okay service + okay food + okay prices = okay time for me. I wasn't disappointed in any way but I don't have the urge to get on here and write a long raving review either. They have a lot of different specials on different nights of the week (I was there at Saturday lunch) so I'm planning to go back and see what they're all about because they looked pretty legit. This place is A-OK by me.

LOVE Darcy's! This is by far my favorite spot for happy hour, and yet I hardly ever make it in time because it ends at 7 (I think?) and the happy hour food ends at 6. The atmosphere is great, even when it's crowded it doesn't really feel like you're in a crowded bar. The bartenders are always great - they try to learn your name and your drink on your first visit. The food I've tried has all been tasty. I love the trivia on Saturdays, but I wish they'd have it on another day as well. The TVs are kind of small and hard to see, but I think they are not going for a "sports bar" atmosphere.

Went here during happy hour. We had the cheddar soup, the Cobb salad, and some wings. The Cobb and the soup were not very good, but not horrible either. The wings were more of a hit with the group. The bartenders were very nice. This place is simply forgettable.

I work evenings so when I heard Darcy's has a late night happy hour I decided to check it out. For being an Irish pub I was surprised at how dismal their beer selection is. With so many great micro brews in Colorado the selection of generic every day beer was disappointing. I settled on a Guinness. The happy hour menu looked decent but taste wise it was mediocre. Chips and guacamole tasted out of a bag and jar and the pot stickers were probably frozen ones heated up. The bill came up to just over $30 for four beers and two appetizers. Not what I call a bargain.

Visited Darcy's while in town for work. I went on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. I was surprised at how empty the place was considering it was college football season. The service was good, but not great. I sat at the bar and had a half-portion of fish and chips, which was just one huge piece of fish and some fries. It wasn't bad, but it was weird that it was just one big piece. The beer selection was very good. Not bad, but I had better experiences around the DTC.

The first thing that attracted me to Darcy's was simply the fact that I was new to Denver and that this was a pub on Ulster street. I thought Ulster had something to do with the six counties of Northern Ireland, but none of the locals know where that is. :( The best thing about Darcy's was Cam, the soft-spoken Kiwi bartender who greeted me upon entry From there, it was downhill. The food was meh (seared pork loin ok, but I did not expect blackened/burnt). There a decent beer selection, and I discovered a great Mirror Pond pale ale, before I went to Guinness to choke down the burnt, salty pork. The look was over-lit and subdued, even the muted triskelia, heavy on ochre hues. No inviting snugs or nooks, although you are teased by Jameson kegs and a fireplace. I was happy upon first entering to see UEFA soccer playing on TV, but it was just on one TV, and that one was the worst in the house (a practically unwatchable 17-year old flat screen, picked up for $10 at a Goodwill, no doubt). Monday Night Football was playing to an uncaring crowd on the other three TV's. The view features a garage door opening onto a butt-strewn patio overlooking an austere parking lot . The clientele varied from the OK, to real a-holes - just not the easily approachable pub-types of mates. I'll leave this place to the MNF crowd, and seek my craic elsewhere. That pork loin is not sitting well at all.

We went to Darcy's looking for a good happy hour and were not disappointed. Well, I guess the overall lack of any crowd could have been considered a disappointment to some, but for us it worked out perfectly. Happy hour pricing was as expected, very similar to other restaurants in the area. Food was average bar food, not spectacular, not horrible. Service was a bit slow, especially considering the lack of any real crowd. I really love their section of the bar that is outside so you can belly up to the bar and still enjoy a gorgeous summer day.

I've been going to Darcy's for over 5 years and have watched it go from an authentic irish pub with great food to a struggling bar with weak bar food. They use to have unique menu items but it's very apparent that they are struggling and are more concerned with profit instead of authenticity and quality. No more Irish mustard, horseradish or artisan marble rye. The day I went to lunch they were even out of smithwicks beer, how does that happen? If I wanted Applebee's - I'll go to Applebee's.

Darcy's has a really good happy hour (and is nice and close to the office) and is a fun place to unwind after work. The food is not great (but not bad), the atmosphere is pretty nice (a nice pub/restaurant), and the wait staff is friendly and attentive. For happy hour food, the Irish nachos are fun, and they have a nice selection of draft and bottled beers.

I'd like Darcy's a lot more if it weren't for a couple of things. And those couple of things are mostly the waiting staff. I've been to Darcy's three times now - once on a busy Saturday night, once on a somewhat busy Friday afternoon, and once on a completely empty Tuesday night. Every single one of those nights, we had an inattentive, MIA waitress - and all three of them were different women. We actually watched a waitress sit down and chat with friends while we waited ten minutes for our drinks. Going up to the bar didn't help much - the bartender was just as oblivious as the waitress. The food is quite good (though maybe not worth the price), and the drinks are standard bar fare (DEFINITELY not worth the price). It's fine if you're nearby, but is certainly not the place if you're in a hurry. Oh, and for a so-called "Irish" pub, they were displaying the Irish flag backwards. This really just highlights their complete inattentiveness.

This is a review of Darcy's macaroni and cheese dish. Description: "Adult" Mac & Cheese - fresh grilled chicken breast & penne pasta tossed with mushrooms, basil sun-dried tomatoes, Irish cheddar & Brie cheese sauce. ($12.95) So, based on the description you would think this m&c dish would be pretty tasty. But not so much. Presentation: Served in a wide round bowl with penne pasta, white cheese sauce with sliced chicken breast on top, which from appearance looked pretty overcooked. Sprinkled on top with parsley and extra cheese. Consistency: Kinda sub-par but serviceable if you consistently mix up the pasta. This mixture of cheese with the tomato and mushrooms collects at the bottom and does not mix ideally with the pasta. Taste: Kinda flat but good. It's nice but not $13 nice. The chicken on top was dry and the mac n' cheese was has yummy with sun dried tomato. Irish Cheddar and Brie is a decent tasting combo but the consistency created is not ideal. Overall: Next time I'll just get the Shepard's Pie.

I like this little joint. It is close to home, never too packed, always room at the bar, and the staff is very friendly. I have only been here for drinks, but it was a success both times. Nothing like an extra dirty martini. I saw their fish and chips and will have to try them next time I am in, they looked mighty tasty. Until then, thank for the booze Darcy's.

NEVER EVER GO TO DARCY PUB!!! Im not one to regularly write negative reviews, but in this case an exception will be made. Let me preface by saying that I own a restaurant and know how it is, so I am sympathetic, but this crossed the line! I went to Darcy's for the first and last time tonight. Upon walking into the pub, i got a good vibe, but it ended as soon as i sat down in a booth hoping for service. It was not that busy for a Sat night, but thats why i went to Darcys instead of Bakers St. I wanted somewhere quiet to have a drink with my girlfriend and her friends. After 15 minutes at a booth, nobody came to our table to take our drink order. Eventually, we ordered at the bar. the bartender was obviously drunk, It only took about another 15 minutes for the drunken irish bartender to deliver my one Guinness and two SoCo Lime shots. Only the bartender forgot to add the lime to the shots. This wouldnt be a big deal, but everyone else at my table that didnt order a beer, had their mixed drink or shot screwed up by this very drunk bartender. One bad drink is a fluke, but 7 bad drinks is a pattern. Toward the end of the night, I ordered one last whiskey ginger ale, and i got a small glass of well whiskey with a splash of soda water. After confirming from the other 6 people at the table that my drink was not even close to what I ordered, I finally went back to the bar to return my drink. The bartender was nowhere to be found, so I just told the nearest waitress I could find. She assured me she would tell the manager and have them speak to me. After 20 minutes of waiting, my patience ran out, I was tired, and didnt want to drink that last drink before I left. the manager never spoke to me. All I wanted was a proper drink, or a refund. Or at least an explanation for why I was being treated so horribly. None of which happened. So as I was leaving, I went back to that waitress at the bar again asking for a refund of the incorrect drink I received. They made some excuse as to the soda gun not working correctly (which was a lie), but never even offered me a new drink. I then got frustrated. I publicly called out the bartender on being drunk and not doing his job properly. The bar staff and a few "regular" customers then told me I should just leave and never come back. I would have had less of a problem with that had they given me a refund first. But I was physically intimidated by the staff to leave, and even taunted by the bartender and waitress once I was outside. Worst Customer service I have ever experienced. I will definitely be filing a grievance with the BBB!! NEVER GO TO DARCYS PUB!!!!

3.5 stars... no more, no less. I like their happy hour specials and appetizers. They are open until 1AM which is great. Darcy's is not one of those loud pubs that you may be used to in Denver. I like how it is sort of away from the night scene that is LoDO. The location is nice and parking is free. It is probably one of the best places around to actually have a conversation and be able to hear each other. Service was Meh, but I was happy regardless. They have a reasonable beer selection, but don't expect something like Yardhouse. Yardhouse is still the best place around. But Darcy's is an independent owned pub... so that is a plus too.

Love the bartenders and trivia night. Nice neighborhood feel to it. The food - however, - well, you might want to skip it. ***Update 10/12/12: Darcy's has revamped its menu and I really like some of the food now. Great job! Try the Cubano sandwich or Grilled Chicken Salad. They even have some Vegan items for my boyfriend.

I wavered between 3 and 4 stars, and honestly the drink specials ($2 almost everything on a Saturday night!?) as well as the corned beef sliders with coleslaw and bleu cheese were 4 if not 5 stars. The overall experience however was fine but not overly amazing. The service was a bit slow, and the clientele ranged from tolerable suburbanites to downright douchebags. I was also extremely put off but something that I saw go down. There was a couple at the bar who had clearly both been over-served, stumbling around, yelling, etc. The woman in fact could not even stand on her own. They left and walked down to the parking lot and the woman had left her purse behind. The manager went running down there and returned her purse. The part that bothers me is that he then allowed them to get into a Hummer and drive off. This man could barely stand or speak coherently yet here he was piloting a behemoth of a vehicle. Now I know it is not technically the business's responsibility to monitor this sort of thing, yet I feel like at a bar where most people drive to get there, the management should take some initiative on preventing people from driving home totally intoxicated. Instead he said nothing and gave them a wave.

This place is fine for lunch - but not great. Tuna melt and the Reuben are the best. Burgers are mediocre. The service is very good. The waitstaff is attentive. The biggest problem with this place is the parking lot - or lack thereof. At lunch, it is nearly impossible to park in the lot. Usually, you need to park in the hotel lot, behind the strip mall. This is a real pain. Not a bad place to try if you've never been there and are looking for lunch in the Tech Center. Just go at 11:00 or at 1:00 so you can find parking.

Hubby and I were in the mood for a cozy bar food experience for a later (8:30) dinner last Saturday night. We headed to Darcy's where I have been several times for lunch but never for dinner. After this experience, I will definitely not be back outside of lunch hours. The service was inattentive, they were playing trivia (and I LOVE trivia!) but the sound system was so loud you literally couldn't have a conversation at all. The lights were bright (I guess so you can write down your answers?) which ruined the cozy feel. DH ordered the fish and chips - one piece of fish coated in lots of mushy breading and I had the dubliner sandwich that was so soggy on one side I had to remove the bread. We couldn't get out of there fast enough. We'll head somewhere else the next time we are looking for a low-key bar experience.

Can't comment on the food, but loved the outdoor bar. The food is the same as Casey's, Landsdowne Arms etc. They own all the bars. Casey's is dog food, Landsdowne Arms is good and I heard this place is good.

Like others have said, this is a decent enough pub. I didn't eat but I did have a few drinks here. We hit up the late happy hour, which started at 10. Since we arrived a little early (8 minutes early, according to our waitress), we waited until the clock struck 10 to order. The service, as I hinted above, was a little strange. Our waitress oscillated between surly and flirtatious (with my bf). We got a kick out of her as she snapped at us that the kitchen was closing after we'd already told her we weren't eating. All in all, not a bad place to grab a drink if you're in the Tech Center. Good selection of beers and unintentionally amusing wait staff.

A year ago I would have said 4-stars, maybe it's me but it seems Darcy's lost a bit of its magic. Sure it was never some "straight out of Ireland" pub, but it had a good menu , good atmosphere and hard cider on draft. We've been a few times in the last couple of months and have had iffy service, a few bad dishes and it seems really quiet. I still like it for some Geeks Who Drink fun, but I can't say I'd recommend it to someone right now. That said, if you're craving some hearty food or want to grab a pint with friends before heading elsewhere in S.E. Denver, give it a try and judge for yourself.

Someday we'll be able to do half stars and Darcy's will get a solid 3 1/2 from me. Went here for dinner tonight and had a burger and beer, everything was cooked just fine and my clam chowder was very hearty (much better than the "essence of clam" chowder you get at some places). The half star was earned by the man behind the bar, who I think was either the owner or one of the higher ups. He was incredibly friendly and knew his way around the regulars. So why not the bump to 4 stars? Well...because it was just food. Nothing amazing. I had the black and bleu burger and it was just a burger. It didn't pop in my mouth with a kick of pepper or seasoning or something to fulfill the "black" part of the name. Also, this was the fourth choice for dinner because all the other places I'd swung by had closed between 7 and 8 due to it being Sunday. So they won my business by default. So, the moral of this story is: if you need food and everything else is closed, they have food. If you're in the area and you want food, they have it, and it will be perfectly serviceable. But there's a reason I'm writing this review on the same night I dined there: because by tomorrow I will have likely forgotten all about it.

Love this place! It's a little loud but the patio is fantastic. The artichoke an sundried tomato dip is really good and I love the fact they bring your wine in mini carafes! Parking can be a challenge, but it's a cute little place!

Checked out Darcy's again last night since friends wanted to do GWD trivia. I was totally reminded of why I was so unimpressed the first time I went. My friend and I sat at our table for 15 minutes with no sign of a server so we had to order from the bar. I opened up a tab and then the bartender came over to me and said she transferred it to the waitress. What waitress? Oh, the one who was horribly inconvienced by having to serve us. I would have rather gone thru the bar TBH. When trivia was over she was pressuring us to close out our tabs and seemed upset that we actually wanted to stay, drink more, and order food. She also forgot my drink and then said I never ordered it and then remembered that I actually did. Thanks for basically calling me a liar. Really the service here is TERRIBLE. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the atmosphere and food are decent.

I stopped in the other night for drinks and dinner. It wasn't too crowded. We had 2 servers before the night was over. The first server was very good and attentive, especially when we were having trouble deciding what to order. Another server took over and she was good too; she seemed a little overwhelmed at first and seemed shy and quiet. My bf ordered the Reuben sandwich. He hated it, said it was terrible and he didn't finish it. I had the french dip and it was ok. Strangely, one half of the sandwich was really good and the other half was not good, too much onions and the meat was fatty. The sandwich did come with mushrooms, which was a nice touch. My friend ordered the fish and chips and it was one huge piece of fried fish, which is different, but not in a good way. I have been to Darcy's before and had the "Adult" Mac N'Cheese. It was sooo good. Next time I'm at Darcy's, I'll not stress over my choice an just go with the mac and cheese.

Darcy's is like Cheers. The service is friendly, the bartenders are good, and the food is decent. The atmosphere here is really the draw. Great after work place, great pre-party place, great sports bar - whatever you need - Darcy's got it.

I've been to Dublin often and while it doesn't quite feel just like Dublin (Ireland, not Ohio), it does have a nice warm pub-like feel. They have Guinness on top - full-stop. The food is real good, and the kids like it there as well. They had "kids eat free" on Sat/Sun for a while, then stopped it, then it was back, so while it's a great deal, you never know when they will have it from weekend to weekend. Good place for a bite and/or a few pints. Good location in DTC, friendly staff, reasonably priced.

I seem to remember this place being better than it was. I had the fish and chips the other night and they were ok, albeit bland. The chips were ok as well. The beers on the other hand are good, and I've been here for happy hours where they've got killer food deals. The parking lot sucks, especially around happy hour, service is good, and it's an "upscale" pub. Personally, I'd rather go "down the street" to the Landmark and Slattery's for a bit better food.

Everything is awesome. Great service, awesome food, excellant happy hour. This has got to be one of my favorite places in all of denver. The irish nachos and daily specials should definately be experianced... way more than once.

The reason I'm giving them two stars is the atomosphere. Or should I say the inability to actually have a conversation with the friends you are sitting with or even the server. Went there Sat. evening (3/16/13) for an early St. Patricks' Day celebration with friends. We arrived shortly after 5:00 - too cool to sit outside on patio. The music was so loud that my friends and I were having to scream at each other to talk, the server couldn't hear us either! While it was nice having the Irish dancers there, again, the music was so loud one could not think straight. I do not find this atmosphere the least bit relaxing - quite the opposite. I did ask if they could turn it down a bit - it got turned down so we didn't have to scream at each other (in each other's ears), but had to speak QUITE LOUDLY to hear each other. The food we had was great (Shepard's pie), but I will seriously consider ever going here again because of the volume. I realize it is a "pub", as well. However, at 5:30 on a Sat. night (before they get busy and the bar crowd actually moves in) - one should be able to enjoy the company of their friends instead of being concerned about their hearing loss. I MAY give them one more try, but that will be it.

Wish I could put zero stars. Went to hit the place up for dinner on Monday night around 7:30. Um, the kitchen was closed??? A little frustrating after reading their "late" dinner hours on their website. Walked out and will never return.

Darcys has great bloody marys and a pretty decent happy hour, but their waitstaff is terrible. This is the kind of place where you need to order two beers at once since who knows when your server will be back.

After a quick cruise through DTC to find someplace for dinner, we decided on Darcy's. Parking is extremely tight and my first though upon opening the door was something along the lines of "holy noise, batman". On most occasions the noise wouldn't bother me, but we literally just moved to the area and my ears are sore from my parents "helping". Although it was crowded, we were almost immediately seated in the back room area (much quieter, because apparently most people over the age of 90 dine back there). Their menu looks pretty extensive - I had the "adult" mac & cheese, which was really yummy and extremely cheesy. Whil had (and liked) the fish & chips & beer, the Tues nite special - a much better deal than fish & chips alone. I'm looking forward to heading back for the lobster relleno - sign me up!

good DTC location, nice Irish style pub with wide porch seating outside, lot of regulars you would bump into at the U shape bar table talking about the staff, female D is very friendly and nice, male D needs to do some catch up work :-) however he seems to know what he is doing 10pm - midnight is the happy hour; for the beer choices, they have around 10 on tap: 9 Schillings Heap Guinness ...... Good place for whiskey too, they do have a couple of Irish brands too, eg. Red Breast, niiiiiiiiiiice...

For whatever random reason, possibly related to alcoholism, this was one of 3 irish pubs in different parts of town that I'd visited in one day. They've got 90 Schilling on draft, so they get at least 3 stars just for that. They have a pretty nice patio for a place in DTC. It's a pretty good place to have a few drinks after work, but for whatever reason I don't ever want to stay for too long, I always feel like I'm drinking at work. Remember that the chicken sandwich is open-faced.

Darcy's is a local Bennigans, If you love the place, sorry. I'm not going to pay extra for drinks and food just cause the rent is high in the tech center. Don't get me wrong the food is very good however the shepherds pie leaves much to be desired, it reminded me of chili with mashed potato on top. There's little to no parking, but the beer is served very cold. I had fun there on St Patty's day but only because we lived across the street. If you want a genuine Irish pub try O'Shea's on Belleview and Yosemite.

My new favorite place! I have only been there after 10pm but that's when they have one of the best happy hour specials. Dollar soft tacos and burgers which will be the best 2 bucks you've ever spent along with 3 dollar drafts. Good cocktail service and a nice up-scale pub atmosphere with a heated outdoor patio. Like i said, my new favorite place.

Darcy's is a good casual neighborhood place for lunch or dinner. The food is quite good. The atmosphere is pub-like and nicely finished. The fish & chips were excellent. There is a separate room in the back with about 5 or 6 tables where you can dine without the pub ruckus.

Darcy's is a lot like Landsdown Arms in Highlands Ranch, going for that upscale Irish pub feel, with an extensive beer list, and food that definitely surpasses the quality of normal pub fare. Darcy's, despite a smaller patio than Landsdown, is actually a better spot. They've been able to approximate the neighborhood pub more effectively by containing both the bar and restaraunt area in a single open room. They've also done a better job with the food, as I've ordered half of the items on the menu and not been dissapointed with a single selection. If you're looking to have a private happy hour, or perhaps a birthday dinner, the library room in the back is a great choice. This place is great for the casual beer, or a tastey dinner. Check it out.

We've been to Darcy's twice, both on Saturday nights for the Geeks who Drink trivia. We like this place. The beer selection is excellent eventhough the prices make you think (most imports are $5.50 but late night there were domestics on special for $2). The decor is very nice, not too dark like most pub style restuarants. It can be noisy for sure, but hey, its a pub! There is an enclosed back room that I have seen people move too if the noise bothers them. The food is good, but I wouldnt say great. There is a wide selction but the 2 dish's I have had (Mac and Cheese and Steak Boxty) have left a little to be desired. They were good, but something was missing. I agree with a previous poster regarding the Mac and Cheese (its pasta with cheese sauce). I believe this place is own/run by the same people who do Casey's in Stapleton (if that helps). Parking can be tight yes, but I have always been on a Saturday night which I would assume is a slow time of the week for DTC. The Good: drink selection, atmosphere, quiz night The Bad: prices, possibly noise

Do not ask for a grasshopper, they are an Irish pub! I speak from experience.

For a place located right in the DTC I could not believe how dirty and run down it appeared. The food was ok, the dessert was microwaved, and we were the only people not being over served on trivia night.

  • Dan W.

  • John C.
