When I go out to lunch I expect it to be a treat. Not so much today. Hostess was good. Service by Shane? Sean? was very good Food not so much. There were four of us. Two of us had chicken dishes we were disappointed in. Avocado Bacon Chicken Sandwich for me - bun was so greasy I was afraid I would accidentally get it on my dress. Did not see any avocado. Bacon under done, and chicken had no flavor as if it was soaked in water and then warmed up. My coworker had a chicken quesadill salad, she was not a fan of the chicken at all. She thought it was under cooked. It had been years since I went to Chili's and I think it will be years again, if ever. Too many other options where I know the meal will not be meh.

I love their Presidente margaritas! They also have great happy hour specials :)

The staff at downtown Chilis was just awesome, knowing which menu items would be healthy for my son with celiaks disease. Thanks 16th street!

Althought I have patroned this Chilis quite abit in the past, I have never taken the time to review it. I visited yesterday and the experience started horrible as we sat at the table. Their were pieces of salad on the table as we sat down. We waited a few minutes for our drink order to be taken, thats the normal. Fine. We ordered 2 salads which arrived in about 10 minutes. The chicken on my salad was spongy and the salad looked old. Our waitress, Skye, never visited the table after bringing the food. So our drinks sat empty the entire visit. She only brought the check, never offered dessert and was not very friendly at all. I know its not a big deal, but our change should have been $15.62 and we we received $15.50. Being in the Hospitality industry, I have a certain level of service I expect and a certain level of toleration I will take for lack of service. Most likely will not visit for awhile when their are so many more options downtown!

Not quite my style of restaurant? But, I was missing home, alone in the cold, and wanted a massive piece of dessert. No fuss for this girl tonight... So, I deemed Chili's on 16th Street Mall offered the perfect option! I wanted to sit in a booth, far from the window, at 10pm at night, on a Wednesday, and no conventions in town. Despite the male host having a mini-tanty, he granted my wish with a smile on his face! And an almost annoyingly perfect tact to accompany it. So I sit down, tucked back by the kitchen in a nearly empty section, and even though I just sat at the last table in the server's section (that was ready to be stocked so she could get cut), I found myself being greeted by the kindest girl ready to take care of me. After making the server be my menu buddy, going through all options with a pro & con list, I said screw it and ordered two of their finest sides and one dessert. Because I lacked all concern to be decisive that night, needless to say, there was a minor error in my order... I was just glad they agreed not to trash it and fixed it immediately! So, why 5 stars for a special seat and a tolerant kitchen? The server, Shelby. I told her I had a rough day and she literally tried everything within her means to put a smile on my face. Thank you for your true service, Shelby, and your kind note on my receipt! (Attached)

Hey, it's Chili's...what can I say? They have happy hour all day every day! Beer is super cold!

I love Chili's, and I have gone to various locations in the Denver Metro area. This is by far the worst one. Obviously they are situated on the 16th Street Mall, so they get a lot of business people on their lunch hour. I have NEVER been in and out of that location in under an hour. I have also never had them NOT screw up my order. And I have been there countless times, so it was not an isolated bad day. The food is fine, just like any other Chili's but the service is horrible.

I and my wife have visited this place a lot of time in the past few months. We simply love their 2 for 20 menu although we would like to have more additions to it. The place is clean and nice and the service is quick. Margarita Grilled Chicken is a must try here.

What can I say... My biggest complaint would be the terrible service from the bartender. We really felt like we were an inconvenience to him even though the bar area was very slow. We were greeted with an unpleasant attitude :( no one seemed to be on a good mood. While looking for a manager we saw what looked like a manager walk outside to see a puppy and what looked like a friend. Very unprofessional. The food was bland. Portions were small and again terrible service! Enjoy your hard earned money elsewhere!

the best place for the price! they have good options to share between two, with appetizers and entree, and also happy hour. the ribs and the guacamole were awesome.

Was looking for a place downtown to catch the playoff game, but every where was packed. Waiting for the wife to get off work, so 1 seat at the bar was just enough for me. Happy hour drinks are always a great deal. Even though they are smaller, still get good for your money. When the wife showed up, we ordered the trio for her. Shrimp, chicken and steak. We got rice as a side. The rice was plain, shrimp and chicken was good. The steak is why they lose the 1 star. It was cooked too fast. Burnt on the outside and rare on the inside. Should have been meadium well. Just bad steak. The manager offered to replace it, but we refused since we just wanted to get home after a long day. Great service, just learn how to cook steak correctly.

We made a reservation 2 weeks in advance for our party of 16 to enjoy a nice team building dinner. The hostess was very rude when we walked in and had said that we were there with 16. She was unwilling to help us because she "didn't know about any reservations". 3 members of our group actually arrived and then left because she told them they didn't have any reservations. She was not going to do anything but stand there with her arms crossed and rolling her eyes, so we asked for them to get a manager involved. 20 minutes later, the manager came to assist us. He was great, very apologetic and willing to help. He personally bussed tables and moved them together for us while the hostess stood at the front taking selfies on her cell phone. She then proceeded to look at someone in the bar area and put her fingers to her head as if she was shooting herself in the head. Highly unprofessional of her. The only reason I am giving 1 star is because the manager and our server were very nice and professional. I will not return to this chilis because of Sarah, the extremely rude hostess.

Chili's food is always the same, good, but not amazing. We went cause I had a gift card haha. Service was wonderful. We sat next to a window with a good view of 16th street or whatever that's called.

This is a Good Chili's. Good Customer Service. My friend had grabbed a seat and was waiting for me. The Host guided me to where she was. Friendly Servers cant be beat. But the Portions on the 2 for 20 seemed a little small. Food still tasted great. Our Sodas never ran dry which is a huge plus for me. And The Server always checked on us. No Complaints where sitting on the bar side or the Restaurant side.

I waited almost thirty minutes for soup and salad. There were many empty tables so they weren't busy. Slow kitchen staff maybe? The bartender was friendly enough though.

My friend and I wanted to pig out. Where do we go chilis of course. There food is ok but not great. Hey the price makes up for it. The server we had was really nice and she was not judging us. I only have a cheat day a few times a year and lets say this was one of them! I give 4 stars because the service was a bit slow. However. This is still my spot.

Patron Margarita...I lust you. So, you know Chili's has the 2 for 1 margaritas for their all day, everyday happy hour, right? Take my advice, don't do it. I know...2 for 1... who doesn't like to feel like they are getting something free? It's not worth it, fellow tequila whore...it really isn't. With 2 for 1 margs, you're still paying what...$5 or more for those mugs filled with sweet & sour & placebo alcohol? You end up ordering another round so you're up to four and really feel like a cameraman is going to jump out and tell you you're on some prankster show called, 'Let's see how many people the pepper can screw'. Here is what you do & you'll be happier for it. Order a Patron Margarita. Yes, it's $9 but...you get a glass similar to a martini glass and a signature Patron carafe that you pour your margarita from. From the first sip, you can tell the difference and your endorphines whiz through you in inebriated glee. Yes! You've made a great choice. This is a real margarita outside of what can be offered at an authentic Spanish joint. You get about four to six drinks out of this carafe (maybe a little more since I shared one with a friend & we poured quite a few times) and it is fantastic. I will not buy another 2 for 1 house margarita from Chili's or a house margarita in general. I'm spending less on the one than I would spend on the special and I'm nice & toasty. Okay...now that I've made my point about that... I enjoy Chili's. It's a 'go to' kind of place...the place where I like to meet up with seedy, random people (I'm guaranteed to enjoy something) or a familiar, affordable beacon to rendezvous with friends. I can eat their chips & salsa all day. I enjoy their frozen strawberry-mango margarita (one of the few things with mango I will consume) and Tripple Dipper (a meal camouflaged as an appetizer platter). I actually haven't had any food that I did not like at Chili's (though I would opt out of their ribs simply because they are not worth the money you pay for them) and I usually have a good time with the servers and patrons. Sometimes, the service can be a little slow at this location but I don't go to Chili's because I have a limited amount of time. I go because I want to take a break and unwind and people watch so...I'm okay with that. I sometimes wish they would show sports that I want to go out and watch like MMA or rugby but, I suppose, it wouldn't be the same venue then so I can deal.

Yesterday was such a good experience. Josh was my server and wow did he do a fantastic job. Everything just came together perfectly. The chicken crispers were cooked to perfection, they were large, juicy and plentiful. The fries were cooked just right. The corn on the cob was perfect. Even the dessert was fantastic- they have a new brownie vanilla ice cream combo. Again the food was great but Josh made the experience wonderful. In the past I would go to this Chili's just because it is close to work but the service would be slow to non-existent. Yet, in the past three (3) months, the service speed has picked up, and the food got much, much better. Good job overall to everyone working there!

  • Jenn L.

Their drinks don't disappoint, and either does their service, but the food there lately hasn't been very good. I used to love eating there but now I don't. The last 2 times I ordered fries, they didn't taste good or they were soggy. The cheese fries seemed like they were sitting there too long before they got to me. And when I ordered fajitas it seemed like the toppings had been sitting out for a long time and didn't look fresh. I will continue getting drinks there, but I probably won't be ordering food any time soon.

Very rude bartenders! Messed up the order and then rolled his eyes. Not a good first impression. One star, for your customer service.

I'm going to be perfectly honest, the only reason I have ever stepped foot in this Chili's is for the all day/every day happy hour. Free chips and salsa and buy one get one drinks is enough for me to brave the monotony of Chain Restaurant Land (and I do it quite frequently actually). Chili's is predictable. Predictable food, predictable layout, predictable service. So I give them an A+ in predictability. And really, in the long run, that's all I'm asking from them anyways.

  • Amber M.

My husband and I stopped in here after a long day of job hunting last month. It was convenient and we were tired. I don't expect much from chains, so my expectations were met. I had a Sante Fe wrap with broccoli. It was unremarkable, but fine. The best part about this visit was that it happened to be happy hour, which meant buy one get one beers. This was exciting for us tired, poverty stricken job hunters. Also, the Olympics were on TV. I love the Olympics and I always miss them because cable is too expensive. Huzzah! Honestly, we probably won't come back unless the stars align in a similar manner. The food is just average and there are a lot of other choices. This visit turned out just fine, though. The service was friendly and efficient as well.

  • Amy F.

Happy Hour... Hay-Yo! 2fers! I could just eat Chili's chips all the time- so light, crisp, and crunchy, too bad the salsa is watered down pace or something, ick. One of the bartenders, Justin is fantastic! Great Service! Close to the office so it's a place we go to often, mostly go for drinks, but some of the apps and dishes are A-OK. I think they over salt the fries, but the side veggies always seem fresh.

One day my friend and I were planning to go to a restaurant, we decided to go to Chilis. It was in downtown, the place was wonderful, the weather was amazing. We really enjoyed that night. The restaurant was really quiet. There was really cool, quiet music. The whole ambiance was awesome. The Waitress was really cheerful, funny and respectful. The food was delicious, tasty, fresh, served hot and smells good. The good thing is that the restaurant is not that expensive for that incredible taste. The only thing I didn't like was the slow service, but it was ok anyway. I'm sure that I'm going to try that restaurant again. So you should try it, and enjoy the tasty food, and the amazing service, and the cool ambiance

Hey it's Chili's... Do you really need a breakdown? By the time you see this the staff has turned twice, and the menu is still the same. Not bad at all, but not great either!

Punk bartender, older with gauges and a checker stud belt, needs to get his band going. He is better off sitting in the green room of random 18 and over clubs, convincing himself he's the best thing about the group, than serving up his own brand of b.s. with obvious racist undertones.

This is not necessarily a review about the Chili's on the 16th street Mall, but Chili's in general. Everytime I go to Chili's, I get an upset stomach - usually because most items are deep fried beyond belief. Anyway, for whatever reason, I decided to go to this Chili's. Why? I still don't know I went to order a chicken dish, thinking it wasn't going to be deep fried. Guess what? It was deep fried. Seriously. I'm beginning to think even their guac is deep fried. Chili's if you are reading this: Please offer Grilled and Deep Fried Chicken option's. Thanks. This place gets a 2 star because the service wasn't bad.

Maybe we made the mistake of coming in at 10 p.m. for dinner but the sign said 10:30 p.m. for closing. Pretty bad when the person serving your table stands in the middle of the room and states as loud as he can "15 more minutes and I can go home." One appetizer the queso cheese was cold and old. The pretzels were raw and the cheese was rock hard. One burger for 9 was about the size of a mcdonalds mcdouble. The other one tasted what we assumed would be what horse meat would taste like. We tried this location two days previous but left when the hostess went around us to great somebody that arrived a few minutes after us. All in all we were big fans of Chili's and now they are just like Denny's over priced for what you get.

Every time I go to Chili's I sit in the bar. Every time I have been to THIS Chili's I have been served by Bradley (?). I tip well, am quick to order, always order alcohol, & have at least one friend with me. This man can't even feign a smile... much less carry on a conversation. The guy that delivered our appetizer from the kitchen was much more lively. Our server sauntered from here to there with no immediacy or purpose. I've always had to ask/wait for my check. When I asked for a go box he didn't bring the Chili's to-go chip bag for my dip. Chili's- hire someone better for your Friday afternoon bar shift!

To whom it may concern: I'm writing today to share what was an entirely disappointing visit I just paid to the Chili's location in downtown Denver, Colorado. In particular, my server was Morgan, the bartender, and the service could not have been more lacking. My girlfriend and I visited your restaurant at around 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 1st for lunch. Shortly after sitting down at the bar, the bartender (and our server, Morgan) was pulling some draft beer for another customer, and the keg ran dry. Beer was sprayed all over myself, my date and the bar surface in front of us. While sitting there wiping ourselves off, we were treated to the Chili's staff in front of us laughing and talking about how the keg blowing out was "awesome" and "I love it when that happens." Just what every customer loves to hear right after the staff unapologetically sprays them with beer. To reiterate- these are Chill's employees, making fun of customers whom they had just spilled beer all over. No apology, just laughing at us. Just to be clear- upon spilling drinks on your customers, your staff's first reaction is to make fun of the customers. After a while of sitting there, dripping with the beer the staff sprayed on me, I asked the server for a bar towel and some napkins, to clean up the mess that they were ignoring on the bar, where my food was about to be placed. I was hoping that my bartender Morgan would clean up the mess that he unapologetically made, but no- he was too busy flirting with the CU fans whom hat just sat down across the bar from us. I finally asked a server for a bar towel and some napkins, which I had to use to clean up the mess. I placed them on the bar, and asked Morgan to remove the towels I used to clean up your staff's mess. Because, call me crazy, but I don't want a filthy bar towel next to my plate, especially a towel that I just used to clean up the bar mess that the bar staff couldn't be bothered to clean up themselves. I was told "Oh, yeah, sure" followed by several more minutes of being ignored by Morgan. Finally, our food came, at which point I had to take the bar towels and napkins to the bathroom trash can, since I could not get your staff's attention to dispose of them. Again, to clarify: - Sitting at the bar resulted in myself and my date being sprayed with beer by your bartender, Morgan - For this, we received absolutely ZERO apology from Morgan. - Morgan failed to clean up the mess he made, resulting in myself having to get a towel from another server, to clean up the bar where I was about to eat. - I had to clean up the bar mess myself, after which I had to take the bar towel and napkins TO THE BATHROOM TO THROW OUT MYSELF. - As we were leaving, we mentioned to another staff member our displeasure with Morgan, since he sprayed us with beer without even apologizing. We were told, and I quote, "It's not our fault when that happens." I don't have this staff member's name, but he was working around 1:00 pm on Sunday, September 1st, and was covering the bar while Morgan was ignoring it. In conclusion: we just find ourselves very, very disappointed with Chili's, a restaurant that until recently we ha always gone out of our way to frequent. Your bar staff at the downtown Denver location lacks both competence, professionalism, and common courtesy. Best regards, -Mike Eck PS - I initially attempted to post this just to your customer feedback page on Chilis.com , but due to the lack of skill in your web development team, this review exceeded the arbitrary maximum length of reviews that are allowed through your website. So, basically- since your website doesn't allow long (but private) reviews, you've driven me to Yelp.com . Fix your customer service. And at the very least- fix your website's complaint page. Having arbitrary limits on a textbox just drive dissatisfied customers to public forums.

From the 2 for $20 (2 entrees and an appetizer for $20) to the 2-for-1 Happy Hour to the free chips and salsa at the bar, this is my absolute go-to for casual dining in on the 16th Street Mall. Given the number of times I've ate here in the 6+ years I've lived and worked downtown, I should not be surprised they actually "know me by name." My mouth waters still to this day everytime I smell honey-chipotle crispers coming my direction. Pop a squat at the bar, day or night, and you won't regret it. No better way to start a weekend than with a well-priced, delicious meal, two cheap brewkies and maybe even a Presidente Margarita! I know I've done just that too many times to count.

What a great location but that's it! We recently stopped at Chili's for lunch while we were in town for my husband's business conference. The upside: two for one margaritas. The downside: Everything else. My husband actually had to leave me because he had to be back at his conference. Lunch took over 35 minutes to get to us. Other meals were coming out very fast. People who got seated after us got meals before us, one of them was even what we had ordered. Our waitress came by only a few times, I had to flag other waitstaff down to get what we needed. I left a very small tip and actually wrote "I've never tipped less than 20% but your service was much less than we expect, even for a lunch at Chili's." My recommendation? There are a lot of restuarants in the area. Skip this one for a better experience.

I've gone to this location twice so far. The first time was for an early dinner. The service wasn't to great. My friend & I got the steak with a House Salad. Our dinner came before our salad. We had to ask about our salad and then they brought it to us to eat with out meal. The food was awesome even though the service was not. I decided to try again since the food was awesome. Today the service and the food was awesome, We both got a burger. The burger is a little messy but it was good. I guess it may just depend on the person that waits on you or maybe the person that waited on us the first time was the new-be but I will return again to this location some time soon. Next time I go I might just have to try the ribs to see if they are as good as people say.

I decided to go there while walking in Downtown with my family. Biggest disappointment ever. Chili's used to be our favorite place to go. First disappointing was discontinuing the Onion blossom, then the burned chicken Fajita skillet, along with the dried back rib dish. My kids ordered Mac and Cheese which also was dry, cold and without flavor. We are sure not to go there again.

The service was excellent. I got the 2 for $20 deal. I ordered, fried mozzarella sticks for an appetizer. My entrée was quesadilias. My guest ordered a bacon cheese burger with fries. I have not had problems with this place before.

Again, for the record, I try not to make a habit of Yelping chains. I thought I'd do a quick review so I could voice some observations... Assuming that everyone starts out at three stars and and goes from there: Minus two for blase food. It's tired. Nothing on that menu is worth ordering. Plus one for a great downtown location, and a friendly, efficient staff. Plus two for 2 for 1 margaritas. Minus two for the bum that walked in off the street and started walking up to tables and LITERALLY grabbing food off of peoples plates and eating it. Plus one for that entertaining moment. I think that puts them at about three.

Oh shame on me... For not walking past this franchise.. I'm Here on business and didnt want to walk very far from the hotel. Quick tip: Call in your "To Go" food. Very awkward here to place you order with the bartender amongst people at the bar eating and drinking! I felt very weird and out of place signing receipts in between folks who are eating!!! Waited 15 minutes for my fajita trio meal, (shrimp, steak, chicken) and diet coke. $20 included tip. When I finally got it, I walked quickly to my hotel. No stops, one small block to Hotel Monaco. Dived into the meal once in room and was PISSED to find cold, dry and salty food. This made me think that they had my food sitting for a long time before giving it to me. Now I know why I don't go to these places. Thanks for the reminder Chili's!!!!!

Living downtown for a mere 2.5 months makes me want to avoid chain restaurants but sometimes, you opt for an all-around/generic type of restaurant (like Applebees, Cheesecake, etc) just because it's a quick and easy decision. We went at around 10:30PM and ordered the appetizer/2 entrees for $20. We got the guac and chips to start. It was just okay...nothing special except that there were small pieces of corn. Their chips were thin, which I kinda liked. Plenty amount of chips. I was actually satisfied off of the appetizer. I got the margarita grilled chicken (with rice and black beans), and my friend got some kind of grilled chicken pasta. I liked mine. My chicken was cooked well...juicy and tender. I had a sample of the pasta and it was too creamy for me, but if you like that, go for it. My friend liked it a lot. I've only been to Chili's once before, when I was 13, so I don't remember much of it. You can't say a lot about such a generic place but I do have something to say about this specific Chili's on 16th: Our tall waiter's name was Matt. Looks about mid-twenties. He told us he hates his job right from the start. Talks really fast, thinks really quick. A super jokester, but never cracks a smile (a true comedian). Though I was intimated, he wasn't intimated by us, and I liked that. You could tell he hated his job but he loved us in a very secretive sort of way (like he was too proud to admit it). In a way, it was kinda cute. But he entertained us in a very unorthodox way and it made our unordinary experience at a Chili's that much more exciting. But all in all, I say, it's just a Chili's.

I would give this place just one star, but in the end they somehow redeemed themselves and earned a second... My friends and I came here late one night after driving down from an exhausting two days at Rocky Mountain NP. We came in and sat at the bar, expecting faster service since, well hey, it's the bar! We ordered some drinks and got their southwestern egg rolls and their spinach artichoke dip. We were told the food would be out in just a few minutes. Twenty minutes later, no food. Thirty minutes later, food! And not only that, two servers come out to help us, except somehow they both manage to spill an entire basket of freshly deep-fried chips on my friend's head, ruining his brand new J Crew vest. Ten minutes later, more chips (but no spill). An "acting manager" (as if it's some sort of elected post) comes to tell us he wants to make sure we have an enjoyable stay after "someone took a shower of chips." Basically, he decides to comp the spinach artichoke dip, and our bill comes down 20%. So let me get this straight: We are told that our food would be out in a few minutes. We wait thirty minutes. We get our food spilled on us. We wait for more food. Then they decide to not charge $8 for one item. I suppose it could have been worse and this was just an isolated incident, but still. Do yourselves a favor and try somewhere more local or original instead.

I blame myself. I knew a chain restaurant on 16th would do less than impress me and I went anyway. I'm embarrassed. I give Chili's on 16th a solid F+. The + is due to 2-for-1 drinks. All day every day. If you have no other option, like say a nuclear holocaust and we've run out of Twinkies, go to Chilis and have chips and salsa. And 16 margaritas for the price of 8.

Have been working downtown for 15 years, now, and I'm compelled to warn people about this franchise. I have always been a fan of Chili's, so sometimes I take a walk down the mall at dinner time to relive a favorite here. First off, the customer service is always good...never a complaint... The food used to always be decent, but over the past two years, I'd rather walk into a fast-food joint then overpay for here one more time. My fav dish is the combo fajitas, but I grew tired of paying so much for such a disappointing offering.. Nothing compared to the location by my house...One of the most expensive items on the menu comes with dry meat in very small proportions... Paid for extra cheese and got a spoonful. Now, repeat this four times over two months (yes, I'm a glutton for punishment). Tried the chicken sandwich and it wasn't even close to something comparable at Wendy's... Bacon was rubbery, cheese was gooey, chicken was just plain disgusting... Throw in five fries, and you get the idea. There are many good chicken managers/cooks looking for work... I wonder how well this popular franchise would do with edible food.

I've ate at Chili's Bar and Grille's from Detroit to San Diego. This one is just like the others, plenty of ice in your pop, perfectly fried chicken, and that never ending basket of chips and dip! Rock on Chili's, rock on!

I think we all know the food is "eh." This particular restaurant is no different. The servers worked very hard in getting our large party seated and didn't complain about having multiple checks, either, so overall I was pleased with them. We had a large international crowd with us, and the foreigners were not impressed. Well, the Swedes were impressed that all the restaurants in America offer take-home boxes because of the large portions. My roommate complained that her salad was too salty. My food was exactly as I expected it to be, and that is "eh."

After a rough night and suffering at work from dehydration, a headache and a sour stomach... head over to Chili's for some fries and whatever your heart desires. if you go at lunch just sit at the bar or else you'll be waiting fo a while.

My co-workers decided we should all eat lunch together on 16th Street Mall. They decided Chili's against a few other places. While we were promptly greeted and seated at a decent table outside, the service was only mediocre and the food wasn't much better. We all took advantage of their little lunch menu offerings. I ordered the half-sandwich and soup meal. I specifically ordered the Ham & Cheese and the Chicken Enchilada soup w/o Pico de Gallo topping. Needless to say, the order came to the table (nearly 20 minutes later) with Broccoli Cheese soup. I explained to the server after waving her down because she stopped checking on us. She said they were out of the soup I ordered and figured I'd like this one. Really? We literally met 30 minutes earlier and she figured she knew what types of soup I like? The Chicken Enchilada soup is really the only reason I'll even eat at Chili's. I mean, they've seriously gone down hill over the years but that soup is one of the few things that have not changed. Long story short, I was stuck with the other soup that I didn't order. She did apologize after a while but I was still upset. I know my office will probably never eat there as a group again.

Okay well so sorry to have to update and change my review, because Mary did provide me great service last time, but unfortunately last Tuesday the 19th, I went back there with a friend, and not only was Terrell our waiter then friendly but not very quick or receptive, but I got FOOD POISONING eating the Margerita Chicken. (Bad stomach pain for hours the next morning and a violent nasty purge coming out in the porcelain god). That's bad enough but I just called and talked to this flaming AHOLE assistant manager named Tracy Hesselius and he said that there was no proof their food made me sick (hello it was the exact food remnants that left my system - exact match) but he wouldn't help me. Let me tell you something loser - when you make someone sick after they PAY you for food, it is the LEAST you can do to comp the meal. I have reported them to Denver health, case number 1811734 and CAN'T WAIT to hear how that turns out. But I also plan complaints against Tracy at corporate level, and on other sites. Making people sick is NOT a laughing matter and NO they are not something for nothing when they call up to complain. I have PAID for food I enjoyed here previously many times, I have no need or reason to make up being sick for a free meal. I'm not saying everyone will or has gotten sick there, but this shouldn't be the response those (hopefully) few times it happens. If any of you want to know how to report restaurants in Denver and get them inspected, you can either call 311 or 720-865-5400. UPDATE**** I heard back from the inspector. To be fair, after making Chili's staff walk through everything they do A to Z in food prep, they found nothing wrong. However, I still maintain they poisoned me and have the absolutely wrong response. I did think it was funny the inspector talked to Tracy and he was shocked when they walked in, saying he never thought I would take it that far! Surprise! Tracy - I hope you enjoy the future inspections, as she advsied me once you are on the radar, they can come at any time! And you have your attitude to thank! If you can't take the heat (responsibility) get outa the kitchen! ****FURTHER UPDATE. I am putting back 1 star, but not because of any effort on the local management part. Kelly Tynan, regional director for Chili's contacted me and PROFUSELY apologized, giving me free meals and going to discipline Tracy and his local store manager. It's about time. Kelly was very nice though, so I will be giving Chili's another chance, but not this branch again. Mary moved to a location on Monaco so that's where I will be eating next! Thank's Kelly, and I hope you enjoyed the lecture and being written up, Tracy!

Chili's is the standard family place that specializes in...well....uh.... Nonetheless, I remember liking the food enough to give it its third star, which is always illusive when it comes to chains. So they advertise the blooming onion, which is really just a onion battered up and fried, with some sort of tomato-ranch sauce thing. Sounds nasty, but actually is tasty as all hell. Beyond that, you know what to find with places like these.

OK, so you all might be thinking..."5 Stars and Chili's? What is she thinking?" But seriously, I think that there is something to be said for great service. So here's the story... I came in with a group of 5 (including me), and we were seated right away, granted it was a Sunday night after a TERRIBLE day for Denver sports. The Bronco's lost to the Dolphins, and more importantly to me, the SHARKS beat the Avs, after a really great game. Yay Sharks!! Alas, I digress... So, after our the group was seated, our most excellent waitress Mary, came by with a smile and with a really friendly and upbeat voice asked us how we were doing. I mean you know all those commercials on TV that have the Waiters/Waitress saying "Welcome to Chili's!" all smiles? She seriously could be in those commercials and she wouldn't be acting. And extra snaps to her for being upbeat throughout our time at Chili's as well as paying attention to our drinks. Obviously, you don't go into Chili's expecting, superb food, or great service...but that night, I guess the stars were aligned, because even the food was great...for Chili's standards. Dessert is always sooo good at Chili's, which was the kicker for me, that night...I shared the Chocolate Chip Molten Cake. It was AMAZING! Usually chocolate molten lava cakes are way too rich, even for me, a chocolate lover. But this cake was great, b/c it wasn't overly chocolately, the warm white cake speckled with mini chocolate chips was a lovely base for the mound of cold vanilla ice cream covered in a chocolate shell, that's equally fun to break as it is to eat. The presentation of the dessert rivals Roy's molten lava cake. Oh yes, I went there.... I had a great experience at this Chili's on that night, and that is why I gave this place 5 stars....

Yeah I'm not a "Yelper" so I don't mind reviewing chains. I'm sure this applies to all Chili's across the greater pan-Universe, it's actually kind of sad. I enjoy Chili's in Denver, in Buffalo, in Chicago, in Pennsylvania, in Ohio... well I guess that makes me very American. A close friend tried to keep open a very good restaurant and that made me see how hard it is to keep good food coming out at cheap prices. So.. it's very enjoyable food, I enjoy it (I won't lie it's pretty good, if heavy), but if you want a taste of something you won't taste elsewhere, or something that you can recommend your friends, a national chain won't help you, they will always win in the price to taste equation.

My mom loves this place for their peel off the bone ribs, and I love their appetizers, and margaritas. This place is good for lunch and dinner. And their bar service is always great. Love catching the Rockies games there, and love that the staff can wear their jersey's to work. :)

We went to Chili's on a Friday night after work to use some gift cards we got for the holidays. I was skeptical about this Chili's since in the past I have been and I've had crappy (really crappy) service. But that all changed with my man Terrell, most awesome server ever! He was so nice and attentive and friendly. He gave us his honest opinion on some of the entrees, which was appreciated. Sometimes you go to these chain restaurants and there servers talk like everything on the menu is "AWESOME!" or "THE BEST FOOD EVER!", which you know is a total crock. But Terrell was honest and I knew he wasn't feeding me a line. The food was good and arrived quickly at our table. Great for a busy Friday night! Our drinks were never empty and Terrell was constantly checking on us. If you go to this Chili's, asked to be seated in Terrell's section and you won't be disappointed! Yay for Terrell! In fact, we liked Terrell so much we let the manager know what a super dude he was, and we never do that, so you know that Terrell is a server stud!

Ok, well four stars for Chili's!! This was my first time ever going to a chili's and I thought it was great. Me and my two friends were visiting Denver and went to eat before a night out on the town. Our waiter was AMAZING! Pretty much the best waiter we have all had.. Made us the stongest drinks to ;)..The food came out quick and was pretty good. Me and one of my other friends had the steak and Mashed tatoes.. quite tasty if you ask me. My sis had the cajun steak which was very spicy but good as well. Our waiter was very attentive and even google some places for us to go that night..lol Just figured out his name DAVID!!!! GREAT JOB!!

You can't just automatically assume a place sucks because it's a chain. Chili's is good! They have good steaks, corn on a stick, lot's of other good sides, some good appetizers, and a pretty good happy hour.

I come to eat here every weekend. The service is great, and so is the food. Usually women tend to be nicer and more helpful than men, but here its totally different. Men are way nicer and tend to be a lot more helpful than women. i recommend their lime pie sweet shot!!!!

What I really like about this place is that you can see all walks of life come through the doors. Business men are bellied up to the bar next to the down and out of Denver. But all are welcome here which is as it should be in the city. I will always love the Presidente Margarita. It packs one heck of a punch and it's not crazy expensive. They bring you a little glass but then you get the entire booze shaker to supplement your drink. When it comes to food you get what you expect. There's nothing special about this location but if you are a fan of the chain then you'll be in a good spot. It's all about the people who work and play here. They make it a good day!

Ordered delivery on Eat24. Truly awful food. Sirloin had a large piece of gristle that was literally un-chewable, big enough that I had to find a trash can to spit it out. Seared shrimp were barely larger than a quarter. Mashed potatoes tasted like they had an entire canister of salt poured in them.
