Anthony's is my once a month go to PMS meal. Given they've got my PMS going against them, the pizza is still pretty damn good. I order the NY style, artichoke, basil and pepperoni pizza. It makes me happy and less volatile :) I would have given it 5 stars but the prices are kinda steep. The delivery has always been pretty quick and pizza arrives hot. There was a screw up once with some rogue anchovies my mother wanted but once I called Anthony's, they sent the driver right back out with the anchovies.

I've been eating their pie since the first store opened downtown probably 20 years ago (memory fails). It was a great place to grab a slice for lunch and the line was long. We didn't have a lot of NYC style pizza options back then. If you like Ray's in NYC you'll probably think this is pretty close. Is it the best pizza in Denver? Maybe not but it is pretty close to a NYC slice joint. Maybe Benny Blanco's is a little better but your have to put up with their b.s. Folks here are nice enough, delivery is dependable and prices are not crazy expensive. I think it is pretty much on par with Famous Pizza if that gives you some idea of what to expect. Chewy thin crust, foldable slices - not too bad at all - don't overload on the toppings.

I'm getting my pizza on. Anthony's serves legitimate NY street pizza. The second best in Denver after Joey's, I think. Foldable. With shiny orange spots of glistening oil (you gotta order plain or pepperoni, only, right?). And a crisp on the outside but chewy crust. Is there anything as good as the first crisp then oozy bite of a fresh out of the oven pizza? We all know the answer to that.

Closer to 4.5 stars. After literally hours of browsing pizza places that deliver, I stumbled upon Anthony's Pizza and Pasta. I'm sure glad I did! I decided on an 18" pepperoni pie. The pizza was very comparable to NYC pizza (minus the obvious fact that you cannot match it outside of the city). The only difference was that the pizza was a little too thick to qualify as New York style. The crust was fantastic and the pizza did not lack any flavor. The sauce wasn't sweet, which is what I like and there was a nice spicy aftertaste from the pepperonis. There wasn't alot of sauce unfortunately, but they definitely made up for it in cheese and pepperoni, so I'm not even fully convinced this was a bad move. Again, the pizza wasn't nearly as "floppy" as your typical NYC pizza, but I was still fine with that. My dorm was slightly outside of their delivery range, but they were happy to accommodate me. I payed $19.something with an extra 3 dollar bills for tip which brought my total to $23.00 on the nose... Not exactly cheap, but hey, I was hungry and didn't want to go out. Well worth the money in my opinion. Overall, great pie and can't wait to order from them again!

I enjoy pizza. I eat it quite often. We were at Don's for New Year's day and hadn't eaten so we ordered from Anthony's. The slices are enormous, but covered well with fresh toppings. The crust is good, but a little thick around the edges. I don't mind so much but my friends complained a bit.

Definitely don't order delivery! We live 5 minutes away and it takes over an hour for them to deliver regularly. Last night we ordered two salads and a small pizza. After waiting an hour and 15 minutes, we called to check on the status of our order. We were told they had a computer malfunction and lost all the orders. They were completely unapologetic about the inconvenience. Their response was, "well, you can order now." No thank you! Wont be ordering from them again.

I would say that the poor customer service and delivery would be corrected by the people at the corporate level if they knew about it but apparently the attitude comes from the top. After waiting for an hour for an off-peak delivery I called and learned that corporate ordered a ton of pizzas and told the staff to bump all existing orders. 2+ hours later, still waiting. Pitiful.

I came to Anthony's for the first time this evening, and it didn't disappoint. I had a slice of the white and a slice of neapolitan and a slice of white, a good amount of food for $7.50. The white was fantastic and the neapolitan was pretty good. The service was prompt, and the restaurant was fine.

As far as the pizza goes... Nobody does it like Anthony's! Their cheese pizza is sooo good. This location is hit or miss on their delivery. Some days they are on point with quick service and hot pizza. Other days, they seem to make a pit stop at the local dispensary and forget that they have your pizza in their car. All in all, I will order here again and thoroughly enjoy Anthony's pizza.

What Happened? Anthony's used to be so good but today our pizza was soggy, hardly had any cheese, and, even though we didn't order meat, there was a big piece of chicken right in the middle. This is not the Anthony's Pizza we used to go out of our way for.

Ordered a delivery pizza from here and don't plan on trying it again. I am from NJ so my expectations are high but any frozen pizza you can pick up from a grocery store tastes the same or better than Anthony's pizza. Sorry, but this did not satisfy my craving for a pizza. The dough was rubbery and the sauce was barely there.

Who is Anthony and can I shake his hand? Kudos to him. This is what you do: Go into the shop, order and sit down at one of their boths. Wait for the pie to come out fresh out of the oven. Have your napkins ready. That first piece will melt in your mouth. Their Italian Sausage rocks. Plenty of cheese. Tangy thin NY red sauce. Delicious.

Anthony's is so awesome that when you call and complain that there are two slices of pizza missing out of one of the 6 pizzas you ordered, and you tell them how gross and uncool that is, and you get an attitude and all indignant about it - they comp 1/2 of the entire order and apologize. And you're all mad that they couldn't get another pizza over to you in under an hour because it's Halloween night. And then - you find out as soon as you hang up - that your friend took a second box of pizza that you were keeping warm in the oven and she removed two slices before the first box was gone. Oh my God, she was the one who ate the two missing pieces. And then you call Anthony's back immediately and apologize like the a-hole that you are so the driver doesn't get in trouble and they laugh at you and tell you it's all good. Anthony's, sorry for being a jackass and the pizza was awesome as always. Forgive me!

Anthony's is our go-to pizza delivery service for our company lunches and I've never had a bad slice. Today was the first day I dined inside Anthony's. It looks like they are doing renovations but the space is big and clean. I had the gluten-free pizza crust today which was pretty good.

I am a regular to Anthony's pizza I've been coming to this exact location for more than 13 years, and usually we have good, not great casual food. I used to go here when it was on the other side the building. Now Anthony's is getting remodeled and putting in so much effort into becoming "fancier" if you will. But when I went there the other day I ordered my usual, a pizza with mushrooms, Sausage and onions. Not only did it take 30 minutes to come out of the oven, it left my kids starving who had spent a day playing soccer at the park and were ready for the delicious mushroom, sausage and onion pizza. Finally it came out but, this left our apatite to fade. The pizza we were accustomed to was changed completely and for the worse. First of all when you make a pizza it's not that hard. All you need to do is cook the sausage in and place the onions and mushrooms on top yet the young and arrogant employees of this restaurant found this to complicated and well, just put under cooked sausage over cooked onions and mushrooms on a two day old pizza. This upset me, for two reasons first of all it was unsafe for eating undercooked foods may cause illness especially to my kids and second of all because this restaurant is making a remodel in order to become a fancier restaurant but their food is disappointing. When I told the employee that we had a bad pizza he said " we always done it this way" which really upset me be jaw the guy was in his early 20's have been coming here for 13 years and that was disappointing. Anthony's is taking steps in the wrong direction. The employee's lack the enthusiasm that every restaurant needs to thrive.

Stopped in a few weeks back for a lunch special of a slice and a salad. Honestly I don't remember it that much, so it must have just been middle of the road. I think the price was fair for the special that included a soda. Very friendly service though!

We had a group of 9 last night, 4 adults and 5 kids, and had a great time. The kids played in the play area and we were able to talk and hang out for 3 hours on a Saturday night. The play land is a life saver for those with young kids. The staff is always a pleasure to work with. They are great at customer service and kind people. This is my favorite Anthony's.

I'm not big into pizza. Having moved here less than a year ago from Chicago, I'm kind of over the whole idea of it. But people in general tend to like pizza, and when in social situations I often find myself hovering over a slice of this or that in some pizza parlor here or there. I find most pizza banal and boring. It's got to be pretty great for me to want to have it again from any particular spot. I'm not saying this is the best pizza on the planet because it isn't. But it really is pretty dang good. Big, thin slices with lots of cheese and pepperoni and a tasty crust have brought me back to (this particular) Anthony's time and again. Dependable, tasty, hot, satisfying. I'm a fan.

I admit my standards are influenced by growing up in Brooklyn NY. This pizza was "one slice and throw away the rest" bad. The crust was part soggy and part almost too tough to chew. I remember the early days of Anthony's and its too bad it has gone so far downhill.

After getting past the "Buddy" episode with a former employee, I've become a regular here. The thin slices are hard to beat and the salads aren't bad either. When I first checked out this Anthony's there was a counter guy there who'd call me (and everyone else, I over-heard him) "Buddy." It usually went something like this: HIM: Hey Buddy, what can I get for you? ME: I'll have a thin slice with green olives and sausage and an italian salad to go HIM: OK Buddy. Anything else Buddy? ME: No. HIM: Alright Buddy, that'll be $7.86. ME: OK. *pays cash* HIM: It'll be right up Buddy and we'll call you when it's ready. ME: OK. As I'm leaving of course "Have a good night Buddy!" If it was all done with a smile and in good fun I wouldn't even mention it, but this guy was more of a sneering cynic about it, which makes it come off as condescending. On repeat visits I started to parrot him and make sure the "Buddy" count was even on both sides. He looked at me funny, but I think he got the point. He no longer works there, maybe he moved on to a career in used car sales. The NY style pizza is pretty dead on stylistically, with a large slice, wide top crust, even amounts of cheese and sauce and the toppings twice baked on top. Next to Fat Sully's, I go here when I need a slice.

These guys are awesome! They messed up my pizza order, and in 25 minutes had another one at my home, along with some extra sodas. Everyone makes mistakes, but when you handle them in a fast and friendly way, your customers love you! Thanks Anthonys, for the fantastic pizza and service!

For a local chain of pizzerias, I'm pretty impressed with the quality of pizza they put out but it is by no means cheap. Lately, they have been struggling on the customer service side too which has turned me off on the place entirely. It's okay given the numerous pizza options in Denver proper, many of which are similarly priced but are friendlier and more helpful toward their customers. So Anthony's, I'm breaking up with you. Recently I called to have a pie delivered to work in Glendale and 7th & Colorado told me that would be outside their delivery area and to contact the DU Anthony's since I would be in their jurisdiction. Odd given that months before I had called and they had in fact delivered to me there. So you can guess what happens next. I call the DU location and am told "That's not in our delivery area, you should call 7th & Colorado." Then the most recent lack of employee training was calling on an apparently very busy Wednesday evening for pick up and being quoted a 30 minute wait time for my pizza to be cooked. I timed my departure accordingly and upon arriving and paying (and tipping) sat down and waited for my order to come out. Half an hour later and looking at my phone to see that it was exactly an hour after I called in my order, a worker nonchalantly sees that I've been there for some time and asks if I'm waiting for something. Magically my pizza is ready, 30 minutes later than anticipated. Understaffed much? Meanwhile one other employee, a tall brunette with glasses, has been letting some mop-topped kid/younger brother of hers wander in and out of the employee only area behind the counter and has been spending more time showing him and his sister how to use the Coke-bot 3000 soda fountain than paying any attention to customers waiting for their orders, of which there were many. Anthony's, put some cushiony benches out there and a flat screen or two above the registers because it's apparent your to-go setup is presently without a clue.

This location is horrible. Basically, midwestern style that is extremely breaddie. Ordered Sicilian, which was basically texas toast, a slight smear of tomato paste, and a crappy load by cheese. Zero taste. Ordered pickup white pizza another time. Tasted like cardboard and undercooked. Something has gone while wrong at this location. Avoid

Pretty darn good, not-too-far-afield from NYC pizza. Decor is really bland, close to fast-foodish. Nice service. Kinda bummed that it's a chain since eating at chains makes me feel unadventuresome. But all in all a reasonable experience.

The pizza was ok. They offered green chiles which I LOVE. Good prices, wealthy portions, but I have nothing to positive to say about the staff. There was no carbonation in the soda so I asked the gentleman behind the counter if they could potentially be running low or out. He looked at me like I was an absolute idiot and told me "no, that's just the way it is". FLAT AND NASTY! so instead of saying I'm not sure what's going on let me take a look, like someone with good customer service, he made me look like the ass. So as I went to find a beverage that didn't require carbonation he came up and said it should be working now. Which means I was right..... Have they ever heard, "the customer is always right" I work in a small local restaurant myself and after sitting here watching the staff and interactions and clean ups and problems I see a few things this place is missing! Guidance, manners, customer service awareness and a woman to help them. Seemed like a bunch of bums working.

DO NOT give any debit/credit information to this establishment!!! Someone who lived at an apartment I used to live at was able to order pizza's on my card using just the address as verification. When I complained to Anthony's they insisted that their employees verify the last four digits of the credit card and would not do anything for me. This is not the case as there is no way the new resident could know the last four digits of my card. I will never purchase pizza from Anthony's again!

These clownshoes lost my business forever today. We had a Pizza delivered to our home with a babysitter watching the kids. The sitter did not leave a tip, the "manager" I'm thinking now it was the driver, because no manager on the planet should do this, called and solicited a tip. Caught off guard, my wife told him to write in a couple of dollars. Now I am a tipper, I understand working in the service industry, I did it for years, but to call back and ask for a tip is beyond my comprehension. When my wife informed me, I called back and asked for the manager... the clown that answered the phone told me he is the manager, then explained that it is a waste of their driver's gas to deliver pizza's and not receive a tip... keep in mind we live 2 blocks from this location. I pointed out that they receive an hourly wage and asked if he understood the concept of a tip... if there is a mandatory service charge for delivery, they should add it, but to harass me about a tip???? They've lost me forever, and I'll yell it from the mountain top to anybody listening... this place is a dump...

This is my very favorite pizza place. The pizza is delicious, and even their individual slices are heavenly. The slices are very large, so be ready for that. This location offers fresh basil and artichoke hearts as toppings, too.

Born and raised in the tri state area of nj and this is the closet you will get to NY pizza . Moved to California but came to Colorado on a work trip and this is best pizza I've had since moving. Only thing I would change is the pizza sauce is missing salt besides that its 5star in my eye. Thank you for bringing me back "home"

So I'm highly disappointed in the level of service I received from 2 of your stores tonight. I first called the store on CO blvd. & 7th and they said that I was outside their service area so they directed me to the Denver University store. I called the DU store 5 times in 30 min and the phone just rang and rang and nobody ever answered! I finally got fed up and called the CO store back and explained to them that I couldn't get a hold of anyone at the DU store and asked if they would take my order and I would give their delivery driver a good tip. They told me they cant and try to call the other store again. I called the DU store 3 more times and let the phone ring for over 3 min each time, still no answer! I finally got pissed off and ordered Domino's after 1 hour of trying to order from your store!

Hafta say, this pie's good. Damn Good. I used to live in New York, and really nothing beats Rays. I broke in to a sweat when my relatives-from-New York wanted to order pizza. I stammered and thought about suggesting Thai or Vietnamese, but every where I turned I was doomed. Was Anthony's up for the true test...I wondered... And then the verdict was in. They liked it! Even said they loved it. I felt redeemed that Denver really can compete with the big Apple! Ok, so it's not quite Ray's but very good. And sure maybe they do have Ray's but have you ever skied on the East Coast??

A couple weeks ago I cheated on being gluten free. I had pizza here and one other spot. The pizza is decent, but it's not the best. I don't think the gluten related illness I suffered was worth it for the pizza. It's solid pizza and worth trying.

This used to be my favorite delivery pizza. But the last two times I have ordered, it's really been off. Granted, it's the 23rd of December, and it snowed today. So, my guess is they were slammed. Which might explain why they were 1/2 hour late, and my pie just didn't seem like it was cooked long enough. I don't know what the deal was the last time. I'll try them again because the flavor is really good and I have such good memories of wonderful pizza's past.... I'm really hoping my next experience is a good one otherwise it's three times a loser. Keeping my fingers crossed....

If this is great New York pizza, I'll stay in Denver. In my opinion, this was a below-average pizza. The crust was ok--thin and crisp. But the toppings were spare, the red sauce had a weird "off" flavor, and the cheese was heavy. My husband's lasagne rated poorly, too--mostly noodles and gooey white sauce with very little filling. Our friend reported that his calzone was better than the pizza he had last time...hmmm...Not exactly a ringing endorsement. Service was mediocre, too. We won't be back.

Anthony's Pizza hits the spot. My husband and I stopped by tonight for a shared salad and a few slices of pizza. The crust on the pizza is so good and crispy, but with a chewy center, and the cheese is so gooey and delicious. I had my slice with black olives and pepperoni - yum! At Anthony's you can customize your personal slice any way you want. This was the first time that we stopped at this Anthony's location after work and I have to warn you - it was PACKED with kids. We don't mind kids, but if you're not the kid type give it a few hours to clear out before you head over.

Ordered a thin crust pie to test out these guys and compare them to the other NY style in Denver. It's a decent pizza, but the crust of a bit more chewy then I expected, but was decent. Just not the best thin crust I've had in the city. Service was super nice though. I'm a bit out of delivery range but they still made the extra effort. Good, pretty cheap pizza though with tons of locations.

Away from home and no NY pizza around. It's a neighborhood joint and chain, I know. But it's pretty good pizza for Denver. I love to run in for my fix and get the plain, cheese pizza. It's yummy and oh....so close to the real thing. Service, not great. These guys know they can make it on pizza alone. Four stars for the neglect. What can I say.

After finally figuring out which Anthony's would deliver to me (I live in Cap Hill and assumed it would be one of the downtown locations; nope it's this one) I ordered a large cheese pie (that's my real test of a pizza place. No toppings, nothing fancy, just cheese, sauce and bread.) It was decent. The sauce and cheese blend is flavorful enough, but the crust was a little too dry. I still think Sexy Pizza is the best East Coast-style pizza in Denver, but I would rank Anthony's along the same lines as Benny Blanco's, or something like that: decent pizza, better when you are drunk. The guy who took my order on the phone was a bit of a doofus but the delivery guy was really cute and nice.

Anthony's has the best pizza and some of the best delivery in the area. The staff really came through tonight and impressed the hell out of me and all my friends! I have ordered the pizza before (which was excellent) tonight I ordered garlic bread, caprese salad, and a few orders of taramisu since everyone at my place was dying for a good desert, but to lazy to drive anywhere. The garlic bread was like my moms! The caprese salad was just as good as an expensive Italian restaurant and the taramisu.... well its some of the best Ive ever had. I always try to order as many pieces as they will allow and eat it for breakfast. Its really that good. There was a few things missing from my order tonight so Noah, the really nice employee, had to make a couple trips back to my place to get the order completed, BUT he did it faster making all those trips than it is to order pizza in this area. He was so kind and friendly and I even got a gift certificate for the mix up. Very cool!

3.5 Stars. My workplace likes to order pizza from this place to keep us Corporate American Inmates tied to our workstations instead of taking lunch breaks like normal free folk. The pizza is NY style thin crust and is really tasty. I hear the cannolis and calzones are great too. But inmates only get to pick pizza toppings. What can I say, incarcerated people cannot be choosers?
