Never judge a book by its cover! I must admit that I stopes here last year and I was scared of how the building looked. I seen the Yelp reviews and I thought, my fellow Yelpers have NEVER LET ME DOWN! So, I decided to go in and give this place a try. It's a modest Chinese eatery, no it's not going to have the fancy big chain decor, but that leaves them to concentrate on their food! I ordered the sesame chicken and it was delicious, the egg drop soup was exquisite! The portions are large and the service was great. Our server never let out drinks run dry, he was courteous and attentive. My kids loved the noodles and they ate the egg drop soup too. I'd definitely come back. Thank you Yelper for your reviews, I would have never tried this place if it wasn't for all the reviews.

Service was great, food was delicious. The only reason it didn't give then five stars is because the egg drop soup was not good. Otherwise, the food was fantastic and the service was spectacular! This will definitely be our go to Chinese here in cortez from now on.

Serving sizes are huge and the service is extremely friendly. Not a fancy place, but the food is OK, especially when considering this Chinese restaurant is located in a remote part of the country. Try their fresh squeezed lemonade, which is terrific.

I went to place a to go order. No buffet but menu has more selections than other Chinese restaurants in town. I wish they started buffet.

This place was delish! I had the lemon chicken not something I normally get and my goodness it was so good! The chicken was so fresh and fried to perfection! It is a nice small family restaurant and the waitress told us how her father makes all the sauces everyday and has his secret recipes! Will be back a couple times before we leave!!! Ps. Very service dog friendly!

Great food, lovely staff, don't be intimidated by its outside appearance (it's adorable inside). Staff: All super friendly and attentive. Older man (think he's the owner?) was cute and never hesitated to help us. Atmosphere: Outside can seem a little daunting, but the inside is decorated nicely. Comfy seats, very open and clean. Nice paintings. Food: DELICIOUS. Especially considering it's not located in the most hopping of areas. Had the ~$13 dinner special. HUGE portions with a great value!! Comes with soup, assorted appetizer platter, fried rice (can exchange for steamed) and one entree! Definitely would recommend! Already plan on eating my leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Yum!

Good food and large portions. Price was reasonable with quick service. Egg roll was excellent. Spicey dish was just right and not super hot. Only drawback was the AC was not chilly.

Nice friendly staff. Good shrimp and snow peas. Peas were fresh and crunchy as were the carrots. Shrimp just right. Nothing overcooked. Light simple sauce, not greasy. Good place to stop for a real meal in the middle of a long road trip. Fast service. Would go back if in town again.

ya know we just stopped by randomly on our way from AZ to Breckenridge for a snowboard trip. We were in the mood for a decent Chinese meal. It was quick, fast, and the service impeccable. The food was appetizing, flavorful and presented without all of the things you dont want. Although the lunch menu was all that we had, I would definitely assume the food is tasty and fresh and time of the day. :) Decent portions, goog service and quality food that speaks for itself. -Matt

happily found this place from GPS. We ordered the shrimp fried rice and orange chicken! The portion is good size for family with kids. Service was really good and fast. Very friendly waiter :)

Soup is good and service is fast and friendly. Had the twice cooked pork but they do not use the Chinese barbaque sauce in it that I like. Portion was plentiful and got some flavor after I dumped a lot of hot sauce that was on the table in it. Wife got the sweet and sour pork and it was good, I wished I had ordered that. Will give it another try.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
