A friend served this at Book Club yesterday. Best BBQ I have EVER had! Unbelievably wonderful! It was so tender that it literally fell apart as I was serving it onto my plate. Wow! An explosion of wonderful in my mouth. Already told my daughter about it. Am I going there? You bet!

They need some restaurant experience. The ribs were good

I have been here several times. It is a new take out store front. The meats are fabulous! The gentleman behind the counter was really helpful with a special catering order. Price is on the high side, but will use them again.

The Kentucky BBQ was awesome..I'd say the portions could be a bit larger..but I'm a big guy..great food no matter. . They do not have interior seating..so be ready to take it home or eat it In the car.... Great stuff..can't wait to try something different next time. .

Charges an extra couple of bucks to use a credit card. Hmmmph! This is 2015, no one carries cash to pay for a large barbecue order. Overall the food was average, nothing great, nothing awesome. But the portions were super tiny and the cuts of brisket was mostly gristle. If you want better barbecue, drive a couple more miles to Lulu's or KT's. Those places have tastier barbecue at better prices and better sides.

I had high hopes and was very disappointed. I only tasted smoke. No flavor. I tried everything but the ribs and I didn't enjoy any of it. I will never go back.

I tried this place because it was on the way to the dinner party and we all wanted bbq. So I ordered sausage (fatty and flavorless), smoked bologna (no flavor), chicken (tender and juicy), pulled pork (it was good) , coleslaw (very chunky no flavor), beans (they might have been ok if they were slow roasted for a couple hours but the different flavors did not come together, tasted like bell peppers mostly), corn (? I just ordered and payed for it, did not receive it in my order), 6 buns ( got 4), MASHED POTATOES (WORST THING I'VE EVERY PUT IN MY MOUTH, I WILL SOONER LICK AN ASHTRAY THAN TAKE ANOTHER BITE OF THEIR MASH, I WOULDN'T WISH IT UPON MY WORST ENEMY), bbq sauce (a bit sweet but good, I prefer a variety of sauces). There was a line and the guy asked if anyone there had the To go order, the guy second in line rose his hand and he rang him up first, the guy that was 1st in line walked out (smart man, I had already paid, it was to late for me), they have coke (the cans are on the counter behind the register, not refridgerated. The guy seemed nice, but I would suggest he close his doors because he has no clue about the restaurant business. This is the first review I have ever written.

Pleasantly surprised! They could use a real menu board and some funky decor to dress up the place but the food was great and I definitely plan to go back. We all ordered something different and there was not one complaint. The need to start serving bbq breakfast tacos and I would be there every day.

SPARK'S SMOKIN BBQ (12920 Lowell Blvd. Broomfield, CO) ((((UNBELIEVABLE)))) I WAS YELLED AT, AND TOLD TO LEAVE BY ONE OF THE EMPLOYEES. This all occurred within 30 min., or less.... Admittedly, this is lengthy because I think the story is always important. .....BUT I CAN SAVE YOU SOME TIME. The overall point is that I was yelled at, and asked to leave after simply asking for my money back. I have never used yelp before today. I downloaded the app just now, for the sole purpose of deterring others away from this place. I've had bad food before, but I usually consider it a loss and move on. In fact, I was raised so polite, that I usually chose not to say anything when I probably should. I'm not a "foodie" or a connoisseur of anything, but with BBQ joints, I always assume that I am paying for something that is better than what I can make at home, or buy at a store. Otherwise, why go anywhere, right? My family and I stopped by for the first time today. It was expensive, considering that it's a "hole-in- the-wall" style business with no dining room... Just a countertop. Which is fine, but I thought to myself we could go to a mid-priced chain restaurant for the same amount of money, and at least sit down. My son ordered BBQ chicken with mashed potatoes and "smoked"corn, my wife ordered the same, and I ordered beef brisket with mashed potatoes and beans. (Cost= $32 and some change.) We waited, and they brought the food to the counter, and told us that they didn't have the soda that we already ordered and paid for, "unless we wanted a warm one". So apparently this place doesn't have a refrigerator, or walk in? Let's be honest, that's a little weird... Anyway, we get home and pulled out our food... The chicken was cold, and it looked at least a few hours old... (that is being honest). The "smoked" corn looked and tasted like canned corn heated in a microwave, and they included 1 store-bought Hawaiian roll with each order. As far as barbecue goes; we received 1 tiny container filled with barbecue sauce about the size of 2 teaspoons for each meal. BEST PART....The brisket that I had ordered was literally a half inch linear strip of meat, and the rest was [no bullshit] glistening translucent gristle and fat that was intentionally folded underneath to give a bulkier appearance. About 60% of my portion (priced at $9), was fat. ...actually, it looked like stomach lining because of the strange striations within it. I'm mad at myself for not taking a picture of it! My son took one bite of their potatoes, and refused to eat anything else. I didn't take one bite out of the brisket, not even the good part (if you could call it that). My wife had already ate her sweet roll, and a few bites of chicken, so we took that meal as a loss. However, she did stop eating as well. I called them, and talked to the guy who helped us. I was not rude, and I didn't make any insulting, or insensitive comments about the food, nor did I demand anything. I simply said "my son won't eat it, and mine was mostly fat", and asked how old it was? I told him that my wife already ate enough of hers, and I didn't expect money back for it. At that time, he definitely seemed displeased, but overall wasn't too rude. He told me he could refund the cost, if I brought it back. I immediately packed the food back up (sauces, rolls, and all), and drove over. When I arrived, I was angrily greeted by the same man, and a woman (the cook, apparently), who were both obviously just talking about me, and waiting at the front door. So things were going great! She furiously motioned me to bring the food to the counter. The guy then went and stood silent behind the counter all pissed off with his arms folded and an angry scowl on his face. Meanwhile, the lady was making bitter comments toward me in the third person as if I wasn't standing there. She then proceeded to pull the food out of the bag, and inspected it in front of me while simultaneously shouting, lol! For what, I didn't know? I was polite (not angry), all of the food was there, and I didn't even want ALL of my money back? I felt I was being more fair, than the situation deserved. Besides, that's my right as a customer? Anyway, she said "DON'T TELL ME MY FOOD IS NASTY" (which I never said), then told the guy to hand me my money back. He gave me $20 cash, even though we had paid with a card? Then, she yelled "to get out, and don't come back!" While ALREADY walking quietly toward the door, she screamed again "GET OUT!" Which was funny, because I didn't actually consider ever coming back to feed myself or another human. Maybe I'd pick something up for my dog on his birthday, if I had money to blow? Since I was falsely accused of saying something I never said, I'll make it worth the accusation; HER FOOD WAS NASTY!! Overall, this "experience" would have been the same for me if I'd have set $12 on fire, drove around, and picked a fight with a stranger.
