Yuck, yuck, yuck!!! Come here if you want to pay for over-priced salt with a side of food. I ordered the french onion soup and a filet. I asked for the "Colorado" with my steak which was suppose to be mushrooms with gravy. It was salty brown sauce with no trace of the mushrooms. My steak, ordered medium, came out well. Everything else was super salty! Don't eat here!!!

We are staying at Bever Run for the week and were pretty disappointed to find almost the entire town closed. While planning this trip no where did it say anything about spring being mostly closed. But we were happy to find that out of everything that wasn't open the bar at Spencers was and they were serving food. I was pretty impressed that with the lack of patrons the food was fresh and very good. Service was great but then again we were the only people there at one point. I'd be interested to try this during a busy season.

Nothing special, good typical buffet style breakfast. Servers were attentive and fast to replenish drinks and food.

Stopped in for a quick lunch during a conference. Service was nice considering it was just me, but the food was only meh and if I'd been less lazy I would have gone into town. But if you want a lot of food right off the slopes, I suppose you could give them a shot.

Extremely disappointed. The steaks were tough and ill prepared. Over priced for the quality and the staff not overly friendly. For a resort destination, we expected much more. We will definitely not be returning.

Staying at beaver run resort....We got completely ignored by all the wait staff and there was only one other table seated and I counted at least 5 other wait staff standing around. Not even a hi. Walked out after 20 minutes, told the guy at the front and he just shrugged his shoulders.... Wife went back for breakfast two days later and said they were basically ignored again. Go to the deli or bar to get food. Zero stars

The service was good but the food was terrible. Tasted as if it was frozen and thawed out, basic resort food. You're better off venturing down to the Breckenridge "downtown" and finding a cute restaurant there.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Slow, inattentive service, small portions, tasteless food and high prices. Of course, the hotel staff raved about the place but I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone staying at the Beaver Run Resort.

Stopped in for a beer while on a break from the slopes in peak 9. The bar is a hidden gem, you can order food here too and the prices are reasonable compared to other places here on peak 9.

We'd planned on Kenosha. But the wait was too long, and Spencer's was closer. Why, God, why? Why did you put Spencer's closer?? The decor is standard for a classy steakhouse, but there's a hidden surprise inside: the smell of old fish. It's really wonderful how they were able to recreate the feel of eating on a Japanese wharf in the middle of Colorado. Mmmmm dead fish. During my visit, there was a shortage of menu's with covers, but luckily they were able to get me a soggy xerox copy. I guess they're not prepared for having more than 4 tables occupied at once? The night we dined, there was also a special on crab-stuffed grouper, served atop a crab cake. When the waiter described it, I must've been so mesmerized and confused by a dish offering not one, but two forms of crab, that I overlooked the fact that it didn't include sides, so I got it. The grouper/crab was good, despite looking lonely on the plate. Most everyone else had ribeye. It was mostly undercooked and marbled with thick veins of fat. I tried a piece. It tasted the way the room smelled. The service was slow and we had to ask for refills on water...so no bonus stars there. Also, they add 5% to all of the prices per some fine print at the bottom of the menu. I don't understand why they don't just mark the prices 5% higher, but I guess that's why they're the resort tycoons and I'm not. So yeah...go to Kenosha. There will probably be a wait, but you'll pay the same (or less) and you'll eat better food in a friendlier environment and it won't smell like Oprah's colon.

We went for dinner on a weekday and there were only two parties there (we were one of them)...but it wasn't ski season yet. We enjoyed the peace and quiet since the night before we were at an Irish restaurant there and it was so noisy you couldn't talk. I had a ribeye steak, medium rare, and even though it was more on the rare side, it was still good. The green beans that accompanied it were cooked just right, a little on the crisp side. I would go back just for the ambiance...quiet and relaxing.

Linh: How many stars would you give Spencer's? The boyfriend: I'd give them 4.5 stars because I was HUNGRY. Despite having been riding for 3.5 hours causing us to become ravenous, weak and starving, Spencer's restaurant is an excellent place for lunch for a "fine"-dining restaurant that is reasonably priced. It's clearly Breck's best kept secret. Located on the bottom of peak 9, to the left of the food court, and through the revolving glass doors is the warm, inviting, restaurant with clothed tables and a gas fireplace in the middle to bring in comfort. I got the Spencer's burger and fries ($10.50) and the boyfriend got the avocado chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries ($10). His chicken sandwich was so big, I had to be creative about putting my mouth around it for a bite. My burger was a 1/2 pounder swiss burger-cooked medium to taste, generous with portions, and was sandwiched between 2 grilled crunchy buns...just how I like it. If you have a big appetite, they have a buffet with 2 hot dishes, a salad bar, soup, and dessert for $14.95 until 2pm. As David C mentioned, soup and salad buffet was an option for $7.95. A fantastic deal for ski resort standards. Service was wonderful. Water was refilled often and the servers even emphasized that for every 1000 ft up you go, you should drink an extra glass of water a day. Great looking out. Spencer's is a great place for a warm, comfortable, nice restaurant for the same price as the food courts next door. Definitely Breck's best kept secret.

We all know ski resorts can be expensive so I am happy to Yelp about a lunch bargain that my ski instructor told me about. All you can eat Soup & Salad bar for $7.95. The full monty is $14.95 with ribs, steak etc but the S&S was all I needed. They have two hot soups to choose from which I am sure change but I had the choice of Beef Vegetable or New England Clam Chowder, all the regular salad items including some chunky chicken salad and tuna salad, 6 different dressings oh and also a sandwich bar with a bunch of deli meats, cheese and condiments. Ive have been two times now and both times there has been no wait and I am thinking that because it has table cloths and cloth napkins people may think its expensive BUT I spent more at the Coppertop bar for a fast food chicken sandwich and fries :o(

They are trying hard to be the best in area. The food is very good.

I really wanted to love this place, but those we were served by seemed to take a concerted effort to fail as badly at providing an ideal dining experience as they could. The BBQ sauce is nearly identical to A1. The drinks sit empty, and when the server finally came by the table, she didn't offer refills on soda or beer. The servers (we had two, apparently the youngish blonde had an assistant) act like theyre doing you favors by taking your order. The food is sickeningly expensive and barely above cafeteria level - except for the calamari. The calamari alone is nearly redeemable. But seriously - if you're charging upwards of $40 a steak, try to do better than Denny's caliber servers.

Service was slow so decided to go with the buffet. Good selection and overall good taste and hospitality. Nonchalantly spoke to the waitress's and she said it was her third day, so explains the slowness. Give it a try if your at Breck.

If you're a true steak lover dont bother with this place. As a matter of fact just dont bother with this place at all. You're better off with Charlie Browns or some other chain. The cut of meat was horrible. My wife and I order a porterhouse and filet medium rare and got it well well done. I also got a french onion soup but it was more like a salt onion soup. The waitress was very nice and helpfull but that doesn't help my taste budds and stomach. I seriously make a way better steak on my Weber for a tenth of the price. In all a way overpriced restaurant with bad food. Tourist trap, very disappointed.

Overall this restaurant was pretty standard, where this restaurant really stood out was with the service. My wife and I ate a late dinner here and then had and early breakfast and had the same server (Sarah) who was very attentive, courteous, and pleasant.

Breakfast buffet surprisingly good... even went back for more eggs which is saying a lot. But no hostess present at Saturday 9:30 AM, had to track down a waitress to find someone to seat us. Service was grouchy. Closes for lunch too early, 2 pm.

We were staying at Beaver Run and went for breakfast. It was decent, like a typical Shoney's buffet, pancakes, eggs, meat and fruit. The only complaint was the bill. For 2 people having the buffet and coffee, we paid $42.00 (That was with the tip). We later went to main street, and found many reasonably priced options.
