Went here to dance after a friends birthday . Pretty terrible. Bar tender was the only bright spot. DJ played music with the same beat for the better part of an hour...that's all we could handle before leaving. Wouldn't take any requests. Despite being fairly full, no one was dancing. Wouldn't recommend coming here to anyone.

Ahh, this place is the perfect example why I refuse to visit places without "yelping them up." My significant other and I decided to venture out to Breckenridge on a random Monday night for some Christmas lights and shopping. Unfortunately, we arrived a little too late and decided to get drunk instead. We had just ended our dinner at Lucha Casina (awesome) and walked around looking for a good option when we ended up back at Cecilia's right next door. The advertised happy hour special drew us in - two for one martinis. Sounded awesome. It was... for the first five minutes. My second sip of my delightfully strong martini was interrupted by drastically dimmed lights and Chamillionare blasting from the speakers. Uh, what? I thought this was a martini/cigar bar! Then, the frat and sorority girls come rolling in. Double uh, what? Get me out of here. At that point I had no choice but to chug my two for one martinis and stumble out the door. This place so was not my scene. At the strike of ten, the bar completely changed from chill and relaxed to skanky and douchy. So, if that's your thing, this place is for you. As for me, I couldn't get out of here fast enough.

Fantastic!! Great martinis and happy hour specials. Johnny was the absolute best bartender I've had. Friendly, entertaining, helpful and an artist. Definitely coming back here especially if he's working.

UPDATE: I was contacted by the new manager recently and he was very apologetic. I've upped my review by one star based on his effort. Avoid this place. The service was horrible, took 20 minutes to get our drinks after ordering. We placed our order, then the bar tender decides to go off duty, pass the order along to the next bar tender but first had to count the till in the register and then slowly make the drinks. All this and we were two of six people in the whole place.

Fantastic service. Great personalities. Come here during the day for happy hour! Kayt is a wonderful bartender, ask her to surprise you!

Hey guys, yeah you ... chill the fuck out! Seriously take that stick out yo ass, pop that culo and calm the fuck down ....You are in Breck, have a good time, why are you tying to have some sort of stuffy uber fancy fuck time? This place isn't about your caviar dreams, it is about poping it and smacking it. Rant over: there are three different areas, one more quiet 'intimate' space, the other is a larger louder area bathrooms are in this area, then the last room is a much bigger crazy free fuck for all ... If you go before 10p, it is a calm mellow place after 10 its a frat drunken orgy of hilarious and crazy, great people watching for sure! Let's first talk about the drinks. The bartender guy, forgot his name. Was absolutely amazing, no joke, the two days I was here I only went to this dude. He is the thin tall guy with very short hair. The dude went out of his way to make us cool and freaking delicious drinks. I told him I had been in Peru so he decided to make me a pisco sour, no joke he had to run to the back to get the eggs for the drinks but hey he was stoked to make it and it was very good. Yeah I wrote eggs. He was also very quick. Here is the truth, martini bar is kinda of a stretch, it is a border line dive. But hey if you are with your friends and you want to experience a collection of random people from all over in one space enjoying themselves then just go with it. Yes the music is very terrible, the worst DJ ever, no I have never heard a disco/dance version of lil wayne, it is pretty terrible but hilarious to watch people attempt to hip hop dance. I am going to assume that the majority of the clientele are from suburban square states with little multiculturalism, translation = they aint got no brown or black friends! This one girl was like having convulsions on the dance floor, i didn't know to laugh or dial 911. yes I know this colo-rad-oh is a square state, people were super nice though. Anyway I like this place, its fun to watch and if you are smart you make friends with the bartenders.

Went here on a Saturday night with two friends. We were one of the first people in the bar. It was nice when there wasn't a ton of people in there... were able to get couch seating with table right off the dance floor. It got pretty packed and had a lot of really drunk people....which is all fine, but some of them were a little TOO drunk and made dancing kind of difficult. Overall was pretty fun because I love dancing and they played pretty good music, but it would have been nice if it was a little less crowded.

  • Kara C.

Yuck. This place is pretty terrible, but I'll try to give a balance view: + 3 different bars so you can pick the least crowded + good drink specials before 10pm - the entire place smells like the inside of a bathroom - DJ spins bad music - stripper pole and dance floor are pretty scummy - clientele is questionable

As good as it gets in Breckenridge. Great happy hour, good prices and clean, cool atmosphere. And then when it gets dark, Cecilia's is the only dance club worth going to in town.

I actually had a really good time at Cecelia's, but I think that might have been more of a product of who I was with than where I was at. I wasn't the biggest fan of my bar tab at the end of the night...six or seven mixed drinks came out to right at $60...guess they want to get at all the vacationers for every dime they can, because the surroundings were nothing special for Breck and gave off more of a dive bar vibe than one where you'd figure $10/drink. Anyway, from what I remember of the place, it's split into two sections...the bar/lounge area and the dance floor. The bar is pretty small and staffed by people that wish they were partying. There are a couple couches in the lounge for chatting with your friends (before 10 pm) or with the sweaty guy/girl you just pulled off the dance floor (after 10 pm). Speaking of the dance flo, it's actually a totally decent size and has elevated areas that parties can reserve for VIP or whatever. There was a decent DJ that night, and the stripper pole made for some mighty fine people watching. Showed up about 9 and stayed until close, even though that wasn't the original plan. I can see why some people rip on this place...there was a fair amount of douches and snowtards in attendance so...just go with people you really like and you probably won't notice them too much. =)

Yikes - martini bar? More like dive bar.

$10 red bull and vodka really after waiting for like 15 minutes for a drink you need to fire everyone and hire new people because it seems like if your not a breck local you are bound to get bad service and ripped off I do not recommend coming here if you are looking for a good time.

    (1)
  • Mike D.

Eh. It was okay. Big bar so you are bound to encounter an assortment of people but it has a weird vibe.

This place is really awesome! I loved my Tricky Dick (aka Nixon) martini and will be sampling a few more before I leave. Also, Katie is effin' awesome! She's the reason we're leaving a lot happier than when we came in...and we were super happy when we came in. Can't wait to try it again soon. Katie is a cool beezy.

Brodeo. I get that its located in a ski town, but WTF? Why are there no women?? We stumbled in here last weekend and the guys in our group brought half the women in the bar...this is sad considering there were 8 girls in our group and the bar was packed. The bartenders were cool and the drinks were decently priced but I'm not particularly happy about the two girls, in lingerie, dancing to a room full of drooling men. If I wanted to go to a gentleman's club, I would just go.

I was in town on a skiing trip with some friends of mine, and after bouncing around a few bars we decided we wanted a more "rowdy" experience. After asking round for a bit every single local told us that Cecelia's was the place we were looking for. Before I say anything let me tell you every single area has a place like Cecelia's. This is place where all the locals and underage kids go to party and drink. The place is hard to find and is discreetly located in a Breckenridge strip mall. When you first walk in it is 100% percent obvious who is a local and who is a tourist. The local bro-brahs are easy to spot with their 4XL cookie monster shirts, ski goggle sunburns, snowboard pants, and an "I'm way cooler than you" vibe. The other half of the bar was filled with tourists mostly from the South and Midwest. Needless to say the level of douchebaggardom was very high. Drinks were moderately priced and the other tourists were extremely friendly. This particular evening the out of towners outnumbered the locals so the towines just sat in a corner staring at everybody condescendingly the whole night. That night this place was on fire. The dance floor is in a separate room, and it was packed the whole night. The music overall was conducive to dancing and having a good time. We heard everything from "Baby Got Back" to "My Sharona". The bartenders were quick and polite. The downside is all the women there were tourists. We did meet some frat boys from Texas, and Canadian skiers who we ended up hanging out with. However, tons of underage people were in the bar. I feel like that added to the riotous environment. I heard a lot of talk about brawls but we experienced none of that when we went. If your ever in Breck, CO and looking for a rowdy spring break type environment Celia's is the place for you. Just watch out for The Legend of Douchebaggar Vance.

I stopped in here with my girlfriend on Fat Tuesday. It was after our last day of skiing in Breckenridge. We were looking for something to do to end our trip with a bang. We definitely found it at Cecilia's. This place is nestled in a sort of strip mall type of building (Breck style, of course). It's next to small restaurants, and t-shirt/tourist type stores. It took us a couple of minutes to figure out where it was. We were able to because there were a crowd of smokers outside. When we entered, there was no cover and no coat check open. At first we completely missed the dance floor (it's off to the left in a separate room). It took us a couple minutes, but we were finally served drinks. Prices are average for the area. The dance area is fine, complete with stripper pole and DJ, strobe lights, and the like. The music, however, was slightly dismal. Nobody should ever mix Rihanna's S&M with some 80's ballad. That's just blasphemous! There were plenty of people dancing and having a good time, but the music was, at times, not conducive to dancing. We were not short on free drinks or shots all night long, as there are ample wealthy people here eager to spend a few $$$ on two girls who kiss each other. Play your cards right, and you can probably drink for free most of the night! PS, bring your own toilet paper. Both bathrooms were out all night long! Oh, and the other Yelpers' comments about there being a lot of douche bags in here is true. There are quite a few... in fact, while making my way up to the bar to get a drink, some dbag with what appeared to be pigtails literally shoved me over onto the floor. Come on, I'm 5'5" and a girl. Who does that?! The rest of the night here was crazy and fun, and when nice guys and gals hear that you've been pushed by a dbag, they will feel bad and buy drinks for you. Just saying!

I think you may need to either be drunk, be on a mission to be drunk or be on some sort of other mind-altering drugs to have a good time here. After dinner at Hearthstone (on a Sunday night of a holiday weekend), we walked around for a place to go out. After a few missteps, we got a recommendation from somebody to go to Cecilia's. You head downstairs a couple of steps into the main room with a couple of pool tables and a bar - definitely seems to be out of a movie with the dim lighting, all that was missing was the smoke. We went into the other room which was the dancing room - part of the room was lined with booths for watching the crowd with a few high tables and stools (on the side of the room with the bar, DJ and stripper pole sans strippers). The person who told us to go to Cecilia's said that there as a "power hour" or something like that where the martinis are $1? We didn't get any wind of that when we actually got to the bar, but apparently... The crowd was a bit odd - I'm not sure if it's an 18 and over club. If not, there were definitely a lot of underaged folks in there; if so, then this all makes sense. It was an amazing scene to watch, lots of people hooking up here and there (some of the same people hooking up with different people over the course of 30 minutes) and one brawl. The music was a combination of poppy hip-hop and 80's music so it would be a fun place to go with a bunch of girlfriends...or if you're looking to hook up.

Good lights and sound. Bad bouncers, homophobic staff. Broken glass on floor everywhere. Passed out drunks and no staff kicking them out in two different locations. HORRIBLE. SLOW. BARTENDERS. UGH!!

If you like watching semi-attractive women dance on stage in bikinis while flannel clad locals grab your butt then this is the place for you. The actual space is not bad and the dance floor room is quite large; however, the whole bar was jammed packed by 11pm. I went on a Saturday night over president's weekend so the crowd could have been a function of that, but even with half the people the scene would have been just as disappointing. And for such a large dance floor you would think that their DJ would have a diverse enough selection to avoid playing California (by 2Pac) 2 times within an hours time. Cecilia's is completely out of place for a ski town. It's trying to be some sort of club (think retro 70s lights on the walls of the dance floor) and has failed miserably. My advice would be to go to another bar such as Napper Tandy's Irish Pub where drinks are cheaper, the music is better, the credit card machine works and you dont have to wait in the coat check line in a narrow hallway next to the bathrooms. The best part about my night was definitely leaving.

Apparently I went to Cecilia's before it got too rowdy, as there was only a dozen or so people there. The scotch selection is killer and the bartenders were always friendly. One ended up recommending one of my favorite restaurants, The Hearthstone. They used to let you smoke cigars inside, but now they only sell them, you have to smoke outdoors.

I came, I got very drunk, I rocked out to the Summer of 69' and Jesse's Girl. Come in with a lighthearted attitude and laugh at all the idiots who get drunk quickly due to the altitude (myself included). You'll have a good time.

When trying to figure out where to go out while you are staying in Breckenridge you really only have a few options and this one is always entertaining. They typically have a decent dance floor but sometimes they can be annoying about letting people up on the stage when they really shouldn't be. However, while we were here this past weekened we had a good drunken dancing time. The drinks were good and strong and the tunes the dj was playing got a lot of people on the dance floor and kept them there. Overall a good place to go and have some fun.

We all headed over to Cecilia's and to be honest we are quite a rowdy crowd when we are all liquored up. Um, this place was out of control... I'm talking sweaty tore up kids that had bloody noses, girls cussing out the bouncers... I mean we could not get in the door, it was just pure nuts. The second I got pushed out, cops strolled in to calm the crowd down. Apparently we went on the wrong night. Typically this is where the fun preppy kids go for a good time, not this night, there some wild kids strung out on... I have no idea. There was a show there so I guess it made sense. It was an off night. I'm sure it's great on a normal night.

This was the first bar we checked into while visiting Breckenridge, CO. The Music was jamming, Top 40, a lil mix of Techno and House but the Floor was a bit rowdy and unorganized and the Ratio of men to women was way higher which is not a good look. It looked like a bunch of locals and a bunch of college tourists just having a good time.

Great spot for a delectable martini, especially when they are 2-for-1 anytime outside the hours of 9pm-12am!!!

I have lived in Breck for over a year and just recently went here. I went with two friends and sat at the front bar. Great martini selection and our bartender "Buffy" made our drinks. I absolutely loved the key lime martini. I thought the staff was friendly, loved the mix of locals and tourists and while I am not a club type, it had a fun atmosphere. I am craving another key lime martini so will be stopping in for 2-1 happy hour this week!

Cecilia's is a blast on a Friday night depending on what type of crowd is in town. It's usually hit or miss, but if you're in the mood to dance check it out for sure!

    (3)
  • Cindy C.

My group of friends and I have been here a couple of times. Lame. The DJs play music that nobody has ever heard, nobody dances to, and nobody wants to hear. DJs wouldn't take our requests, the guy at the door was rude, and drinks were disgusting. Don't spend your money here.

    (1)
  • Greg B.

They didn't give me a receipt, probably because they were slammed and couldn't handle high volume when I was there. That was really unprofessional. The second time I went I did have a great service. I don't remember his name, but one of the bartenders was one of the best I've seen. I would urge anyone looking for decently priced drinks to go elsewhere, though. They had an $8 minimum on shots.

I have been a customer of this establishment for over 15 years. It is the go-to spot for dancing and drinks. I have had some of the best nights of my life here.

Bar service is horrible! Honorable mention for Greg and Tifani who lack any professionalism yet they work for tips? Oh and no women in this bar. $9 Red Bull vodkas are a rip off. Never again.

Five stars for being one of the most outrageous, entertaining, ridiculous, immature, shots flying bars I've been to. I admit...I didn't dance. I didn't get that drunk. I didn't really talk to anyone other than my friends. Why? I was too busy watching Snowtards trying to hit on each other, the fur boot clad go-go dancers, and fighting the urge to cock my head to the side like a confused puppy whenever something came out of anyone's mouth. My favorite: "So like, I'm totally naming my new band after that blue bear from Tail Spin. You know, Tail Spin, the cartoon? Yeah. That guy. I can't remember his name right now though." Just go, pay the $5 and keep your attitude light, you'll have a good time.

3 stars simply because they have Smithwick's on tap. It could be the worst bar ever and deserving of only AH star, but I will tack on at least one for having Smitty's on tap. Now to brass tax. You need to realize a few things, especially when go here in the off season. 1) This is where everyone who lives in town goes to. 2) There are dance circles first, then a dance floor. Everyone who was dancing would move out into a circle while one or two people busted a move. 3) The bar is segregated. One half has the local kids in it, bellied up to the bar and being their own cool selves. The other part, where the dance floor is, is where the out-of-towners and people who want to sit/watch people dance. We were in Breck for my buddies Bachelor party. I think the single thing that saved this place was the Bachelorette party that we ran into there. The Bride-to-be was brave enough to do a body shot out of my boys stomach. His soon to be wife won't even go to that territory. Cecilia's was fun, but makes me glad I don't live in a ski resort town. I'm sure it's a bit different in February or peak season. To the male bartender, congrats on giving my friend around 10 Sapphire & Tonics, they proceeded to exit his body for the next day and a half and made for some entertaining moments. youtube.com/watch?v=IL9i…

D-Bag Central. If you're in the mood to stand in line, pay a lot of money for your drinks, get bumped into left and right by either roided out front rangers, college spring breakers from Nebraska and Kansas, or some local bro bra in sunglasses and a t shirt down to his ankles then finish the night with a brawl out front this is definitely the place to be. Gets old real fast and you're not missing anything by avoiding this dump.

Cecilia's is a great place to go if you are completely tanked or high on drugs. The place is beyond dirty and and its patrons are completely out of control. Fights and common, if not encouraged by staff. The bartenders are jerks and look as if they haven't bathed in weeks. Don't bother complaining about how many extra drinks they put on your tab because they will just have the cops called who will tell you that you have no recourse other than to pay the bill or be arrested. In short there are plenty of great places ot drink in Breck. This is not one of them!

  • Spencer F.

I've had a blast every time I've been here! The staff was always awesome, service fast ( especially for how busy it was last time ) and great people watching and music! Sometimes places like this get very overwhelming for me, but the way the bar is set up allowed me to find a spot to chill back in all 3 of the rooms and listen to the dj play some rad current music.( thank god it wasn't dubstep) I think this place is great for big groups, dancing and parties!

Nobody actually pees into the toilet at this bar. If you talk to the right guy you can get a grilled cheese. Drinks are good.

I did not love this place because there were a million drunk pretty aggressive men on a Sat night however the space itself is super. Spacious - dance floor, a few bars, a pole - you know a bit wild. We had fun. Might pop back in. People dressed in wild wigs too! Nice bartender Jordon, knew his bourbons. Handlebar mustache and handle on local environment. Best thing about Cecelias!
