Nick & Willy's was a staple in my house growing up. We consumed dozens of Thai Pies during my childhood. It was nice to revisit this spot and find that virtually nothing had changed, except that they now offer rotisserie chickens (whole- $10, half $5) and soups. Slices are between $5-7 bucks, while an entire pizza is only $12-17, but obviously you have to bake it yourself and that leaves room for trouble (the parchment paper getting all wonky in the oven, the crust bubbling up and burning). Taking and baking is not problem-free, which is why we opted for in-house slices this evening - some kind of white pizza and another slice loaded with fresh broccoli, onions, tomatoes, mozz, and chicken. The only complaint I had was that the toppings weren't as hot as I would have liked- but the crust was perf. It's always disappointing to find out that a place that I thought was unique to Boulder is actually a franchise, but nevertheless, I think the Pearl St location is the best.

The lady says it's the Best Pizza she has had in her life. With a capital "B" and "P." Great crust, and nice group of fillings. Simple little counter area to sit and read your Boulder Weekly. I think the best deal is to get a small or medium and share amongst 2 or 3 friends. They also serve chicken too.

I have been in love with Nick-n-Willy's pizza for many, many years. When I was recently diagnosed with a gluten allergy, I figured my Nick-n-Willy's days were, sadly, over. However, my parents, in a brilliant "why not?" moment, asked them if they might be able to do a gluten-free crust. They. Said. Yes. Turns out, I'm not the only person in the world with this difficulty. And N-n-W wasn't about to let me leave their loyal entourage. I can get a gluten-free crust from them with any of my many favorite pizzas. I've got my eye on the Little Nell. Barbecued chicken with delicious sauce, paired with some red onion. It is the thing. I highly recommend these guys, even for those of us with a bit of a wheat aversion. They are wonderful, accommodating, kind, funny, clever, and fabulous people, who also make some of the world's greatest pizza. Do stop in.

I probably should give this place another chance, but they were offering free pizza slices at Pearl St. bars so my friends and I decided to check it out after closing time. This pizza reminded me of carnival pizza. The mass produced crust, blah sauce, and sub-par cheese. Now maybe it was because I got a free slice, but there were plenty of other people ordering slices there, and Nick N Willys just used slices that had clearly been sitting out for a while, piled on an incredible amount of toppings - too much to even be enjoyable - on the old slices. Not exactly appetizing or attractive.

Love the pizza and the rotisserie chicken is crazy good.

Ok take and bake pizza or pizza by the slice. A little over priced but you are in Boulder. The chicken is surprisingly good. Ask for hot sauce with the chicken.

I don't think there's ever been a moment where I've craved pizza. I guess it's just not one of those hit-the-spot goodies for me. IF I did ever crave pizza, I would say that Nick-N-Willy's would do. I really like their non-traditional toppings and quick and friendly service. My favorite part of pizza is the crust. Theirs didn't really do it for me. I think if the crust was tastier for me then it would be super stellar, because I like the toppings they put together.

A true Boulder original. I eat there once a week for lunch. Try Willie's wings with a slice of pizza.

Lately I've been going here at lot more because it's nearby and I'm a fan now. I have to remember my own mantra - don't just a pizza place by its cheese pizza. Actually I do like their cheese more than I thought but their specials... oh man they're good. Unfortunately it's a bit overpriced for slices and I'm not into the whole take and bake thing (I rather have my pizza cooked in a professional oven), but they got the flavors spot on.

Ok, I have to say that this is great pizza, especially for Boulder. The Agean is my personal favourite but there are many more creative concoctions. They PILE ON ingredients, and they are FRESH. I think they serve pizza by the slice here, but it's a small location and they only do take-and-bake. Trust me, it's worth taking home one of their pizzas for the Broncos game :) If you like sun-dried tomatoes and a little spice, try the AGEAN. Amazing.

  • Alice K.

Woah. Specialty pizza (anything more than just a slice of cheese) will cost you $5-6/ slice. That's a little steep for my wallet. There are intriguing slices (I think I remember seeing a Thai slice) and it seems to be a Boulder/ Pearl Street favorite, but I just can't spend $12.00+ on two slices of pizza for lunch. I opted for two slices of cheese (1.99/ slice) and lamented at the nakedness of my slice. (Margherita, how I longed for you...) The slices were... cheesy. Very okay; nothing great but not awful, and so very symbolic of existence.

The original and best Nick-n-willy's! Terry Jones knows how to do it right! Eat in slices or take fresh gourmet pizzas and bake at home, Boulders best handmade fresh pizza and the salads are awesome too! I love it! They also have amazing fresh seasoned Red Bird Rotisserie chicken and hot wings too!

  • Charlie B.

The Gobbler is quite possibly the greatest sandwich you'll ever eat. This is definitely a lesser known gem of boulder. The take and bake pizzas are also great - try the Thai Pie!

We decided to try Nick-N-Willy's based on the great Yelp reviews. Unfortunately I do not have any positives about it. For a take and bake pizza, it is over priced. And for the money you pay, the pizza isn't even good. The crust on both pizzas was soggy and that amazing taste I was expecting was not there. We were very underwhelmed. You would expect the quality and flavor to be on par with Pizzeria Locale but it far missed the mark. In fact DiGiorno pizza is a better value and tastes better without rocket science instructions. We will not be returning to Nick-N-Willy's.

Finally stopped in here the other day after I've walked by tons of times. I ordered their small Mediterranean pizza to go. I like the idea of a take and bake so I can cook at my leisure and have a chill night in. So, I did exactly that. I followed the instructions listed on the pizza package to a tee but apparently my oven is not up to par because it took a lot more time to cook the pizza than they said. The pizza was good, not wonderful but good. I plan to go back to try another pizza I have in mind. I thought it was interesting that you can also order rotisserie chicken there too.

This place is great! Like most businesses, the people make the difference. The pizza was great and the salads were great as well. We appreciate supporting businesses that care about their customers! Keep up the great job Nick n Willy's.

As my next door neighbor, I find myself at Nick N Willy's often and I'm always happy about it. They have amazing pizza and surprisingly, my favorite chicken wings in town. Their food always hits the spot. YUM!

Best pizza EVER! Love the toppings they offer. Love the friendly service we get every time we go in there and they treat us like friends whenever we eat there! It's a great deal if you want REAL pizza and real sauce!

I happened to walk past nick n willys yesterday while on lunch break from work, I decided to go in and take a look at the menu. One of the gentlemen there was very friendly and gave me a brief run through of their menu. I decided to get a half rotisserie chicken and a garden salad. The chicken was actually the best chicken I think I have ever had. A lot of what they make is homemade as well which I think is great. Definitely going there again soon to try their pizza.

I've been coming here off and on for years, but mostly eating just sandwiches and their specialty rotisserie chicken. Good prices/specials and consistently very tasty. A great lunch spot!

Please get this amazing chicken flavor off of mind, it's so addictive! Haha Seriously, I can't think of a better quality pizza and/or rotisserie chicken in boulder. We like to take home the gluten free pizzas for the family. Thanks, Nick & Willy!

  • Ted G.

If you want amazingly great, high-quality, pizza then Nick and Willy's is the place! Their salads are terrific and homemade dressings incomparable. Nick and Willy's oven roasted chickens and chicken wings make the perfect complement to a pizza night or on their own. Best of Boulder!

  • Margareta B.

Great variety of custom made Pizza. Freshest ingredients ever! Love the chicken wings too- spicy enough and not over the top. Salads- superb! Try the homemade Caesar dressing. Easy take n bake solution for family dinners and casual parties. Love it!!!

Why I've gone to this Nick -N-Willy's for 20 years: 1. Great pizza. The Magellan is our favorite. 2. Great people. I walked out without paying once, when my head was in the clouds. When I rushed back , all apologies, they didn't have me on their Deadbeat list. Quite a change from some businesses! 3. The lunch specials make it easy for me to eat salad and a slice.

I hadn't been in for a while and I noticed a few changes. They sell rotisserie chicken and wings, for a nice add to the menu. We don't eat much doughy pizza any more, cutting carbs and all, but the Aegean is so tasty and healthy, we had to have one tonight. The dough has gotten thinner (which is a good thing) but it is not as yeasty and tender as it used to be (not a good thing.) Still and all, so much better to bake at home than have cold take out or delivery. But I prefer dine-in thin crust wood fired oven pizza.

I remember eating and Nick-N-Willy's years ago but I must have forgotten how amazing it is. This may well be my favorite pizza on the hill/pearl street and it's an amazing value. Toppings are piled high and my one slice of pizza had more prosciutto than a whole pizza at Mod Market. The "half salads" are huge and made fresh in front of you. The staff was very friendly and upbeat which was refreshing compared to the vegetarian, protein deprived or high school degenerates that seem to populate a lot of the service industry in boulder. I'll be back and I would recommend N-N-W's to anyone whose tired of the pizza options in Boulder or anyone who simply enjoys good food.

I've been going to Nick&Willies for years and they've always been my favorite pizza place! They're the first place I go when I come home on leave from the Army! They have a wide selection of fresh produce for their pizzas and always make them in front of you, and they have take and bake. Plus their employees are always super nice. Would definitely recommend!

This longstanding, locally owned take-n-bake pizza shop offers the freshest pizza around. Many notches above the take-n-bake pizzas you get at the grocery store because they make the dough and sauce in-house daily. You can take many things to go besides pizza - cookies, garlic bread, salads - or you can go in for lunch and get a slice or two and a salad and eat right there. My personal favorite pizza is the basil-tomato-garlic with olive oil. The Aegean is my second fave. The quality of the food is consistent, and it has been for over 20 years. Love N-n-W's!

We have been going to Nick-N-Willy's for over 4 years and it is great. We always get the same thing, a pizza, salad, and wings. Always great food and great people. Their food is SO much better than any of the chain take and back places. I highly recommend you give them a try !

Hands down the best pizza in Boulder. It's a real treat at our house. Everything is fresh with a great variety of toppings. I love the slices and rotisserie chicken, but my favorite part of Nick-N-Willys are the take and bake pizzas. I love pulling a fresh, hot pizza right out of my own oven. Yum!

Nick N Willy's has been around for so long that it is a real institution in Boulder, and oh my gosh, the pizza is the best I have ever had! Their pizza by the slice hits the spot if you have been out shopping on Pearl St, and their Take N Bake pizzas are the perfect solution for a quick dinner or party! The ingredients are fresh and truly incredible!

Hands down the best pizza in Boulder. I've been a regular since the day they opened. The pizzas, salads, cookies are all delicious and made with the finest ingredients. Unlike any other take n' bake product. And the Cesear salad is the best I've had anywhere! Friendly staff, great location, easy parking just in front of the store. Easy five star rating for these pizzas.

The very best pizza in Boulder County! Their whole/half chicken and chicken wings are great as well!

  • Dan H.

I have loved their pizza for years. However, during the past year the quality of their pizza has really declined. A couple of nights ago the pizza had almost no pizza sauce and the crust tasted like a stale, bland cracker. II know there's been a lot of turnover as is usual, but there must be a way to train the new employees better. I'll probably giveit one more chance.

PERFECT PIZZA The gluten free are delicious. The veggies, the cheeses, the regular hot slices are all delicious. If you get a chance, grab a Grapefruit Izze, 2 slices of cheese and toss on a little of their proprietary hot sauce. MANOHMAN, it's just awesome!

Swinging back through Boulder, I got a hankering for my old Nick-n-Willy's favorite --- large Aegean, bake at home. Called in the order, swung by Alfalfas to pick up salad fixings, and pulled in next to Nick-n-Willy's. The inside seemed more dour than I remember; two people behind the counter, lit largely by the glass-front cooler cases of salads and beverages, fridge compressors and radio providing a "get in and get out" soundtrack. Not a place I'd care to linger. Convinced the employees that I was indeed the same person who'd called for the pizza, and yes I wanted to buy it now. Tried for the check-in offer of wings, but they weren't having any of it --- "We don't do that, it's a franchise thing." Your mileage may vary. Pop it in the oven, and half an hour later --- delicious. Good salty feta, firm-but-not-too-chewy sundried tomatoes, tender spinach. And a good, simple crust. Maybe even better than I remember. Pizza? 4 stars. Atmosphere and experience? Lacking.

My husband and I were walking Pearl street and needed a quick snack towards the end of the walk... low and behold - Nick 'n Willys! This is definitely a 'grab and go' type establishment where a sit down meal or proper date might not be a good agenda. I liked the prices and the awesomely diverse list of ingredients - just like you would expect in Boulder - they cater to many different dietary needs. The staff was friendly (it was dead so they were busy prepping pizzas for the day) and it only took about 10 minutes from the time we walked in to the time we were sitting down chomping on our slices. I would say - good for a walking snack or maybe to take home.

I just moved to the area recently and have yet to find a decent slice of pizza. Look no further...Nick-N-Willy's is delicious. I went there for lunch and got 2 slices and it was $6. They are good size slices, as I could not finish both of them. I was in and out in 5 minutes. The place is clean and the workers were very friendly. I will be back!

So Nick N Willy's has a few things going for it. The primary plus for me is that it's a block from my work. Uber convenient on those days where I don't bring a lunch. The second is the fact that despite being a take and bake place, they still offer slices at lunch time. It's about 8 bucks for 2 1 topping slices and a pop. Not the best deal in the world but after 2 slices and a coke you're stuffed so you're getting a full meals worth. The pizza does taste a little quick cooked, if that's even a term. I guess what I'm saying is that you can tell they only cook cheese pizzas in their little ovens and then throw toppings and more cheese on slices and sell them. The pizza was still pretty tasty, but you get that "this whole thing wasn't cooked and given to me right away" vibe. Still though, it's pretty swell pizza. When I don't want to walk far for lunch in Boulder this is usually my jam. I've yet to try their take n bake pizza, though I hope to in the future. ALSO: check in here to get some free wings.

I sorta don't get the point of take-n-bake if it's not cheaper than pizza served to you in house. Seriously, why pay the same price for pizza you have to take home, cook yourself, and do all the dishes for? Nick-N-Willy's take-n-bake is not appreciably cheaper than any higher-quality pie you can get in a restaurant. But it IS good. I'll admit that. Their crust is probably my favorite in town, and their fun, off-the-wall combinations cater directly to my tastebuds. I don't really like the run-of-the-mill mozzarella, tomato sauce, pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms thing. I like my pizza with a twist; pesto sauce, white sauce, chicken, spinach, goat cheese, brie, pineapple, BBQ sauce, whatever. Nick-N-Willy's offers one or two of these twists at a time, making the pizzas appetizing to me without allowing me to go totally crazy and order a feta-pineapple-bacon-sundried-tomato-alfredo pizza and then regret it later. Last time I went I was with two friends and we decided to order the extra-large - I think it was called the Mountain Goat or something (it's not on their website so I have to guess). Anyway, it had goat cheese, mozzarella, chicken, garlic, and some other stuff, but the operative ingredient for all of us was goat cheese. We ordered the pizza and were hanging around waiting for it to be ready, when the girl behind the counter goes, 'Actually, we're out of goat cheese, is there another kind of cheese you want on it?' The pizza was already made, so they didn't offer us the option of ordering a different pizza. We just had to choose another cheese. They gave us samples of the feta and the fontina, and we chose the feta. Personally, I think that if you're out of an ingredient, you should tell the customer BEFORE their pizza is already made so they have the option of ordering something else. And if you accidentally screw up and don't do that, you should give the customer a small discount on their order. They didn't do either. We were charged full price, which is not a huge deal, but sort of rubbed me the wrong way. I'd go back though, but probably just for slices, since the pizza is so tasty and it's right down the hill from my house (and across the street from Spruce Confections, where I can get a delicious dessert cupcake afterward!)

As pizza goes in Colorado - most disappoints me. I am from Chicago though, in a neighborhood where you could eat pizza 7 days a week and never get bored. Nick-N-Willy's is better than most I've tried out here. I appreciate their selection and the fresh tasting ingredients. Good for veggie eaters, meat eaters and even Gluten-free.

  • Billy R.

The pizza is delicious and the service is usually good. I like the bar seating but this is the only place I know where 4 slices of pizza and two Izzes will set you back forty bucks. Pizza is by the slice only unless you buy a bake-at-home to go.

WOW! Great pizza and best of all...I made it myself! Well the good dudes at Nick and Willy's started the process of this prize-winning pizza, but I'm the one who is FINISHING THE JOB!! Love this concept, and they hook it uuuuuuup with the toppings. Friendly dudes behind the counter doing what friendly dudes do...making high quality pizzas and friends for life. If I lived here, I'd eat here on the reg and try all their other delectable delights. Give Nick N Willy's a try if you are open to cooking your own awesome pizza and taking all the credit for it!

Nick and willy's is a complete rip off. They charge you a ridiculous amount of money to take a shitty pizza home that you have to still bake once you get home. You can go to abos and get better pizza and have it delivered for less than N&w shitty pizza that you have to bake. We ordered wings as well. This was a huge mistake. They gave us cold wings with no sauce. Apparently we have to take their shitty wings home, sauce them and then bake them. While we waited for our shitty pizza to get made (not baked) just made. The manager of the place was arguing with an employee on how she didn't correctly charge credit cards. This is a huge concern. Can N&w employees not be trained properly to charge a credit card? Apparently so. I would highly recommend to NOT ever go to nick and willy's. Ever.
