    Conor's can be counted on for a nice fish and chips meal 9 out of 10 times. The tenth visit, the fish will be overcooked. So make sure that your visits are hitting on the proper cycle and you don't get that tenth visit fish. I like the pub atmosphere here and recommend it as a place to go out drinking and dining when you're in the mood to be a bit loud. They are not terribly large so they fill up quickly on busy evenings. Be prepared to stand in an Irish bar drinking and telling jokes until your table opens up.

    An Irish Pub that can't pour a proper pint of Guinness to save their life. That alone earns them two stars. Both the Bangers & Mash and Fish 'n Chips are unbelievably good. The environment is great - they have all sorts of Irish things decorating the place - classic street signs, Guinness signs, etc.

    Ventured here on a recent Friday night. I like that the place is a mishmash of Irish pubs rolled into one. 5 of us wandered in around 8pm and the crowd was the perfect amount of people then. Eventually went to sit outside on the little patio out back. Since we were there before 9pm, our hands were stamped and we didn't have to pay a cover. Apparently there was a band coming later. Not sure where they set up there as the rooms are pretty cozy. The service was prompt and attentive. Ian said the Guinness was a pretty good pour. I just stuck with Harp while there. Snacked on some artichoke dip which was okay, but not a very large portion for a group. I don't know when I'll be in Boulder again but I would definitely go back to this pub. (But only earlier evening in order to avoid the crowds).

    Ahhh, Conor O'Neill's- you are delightful proof that (sometimes) first impressions should be forgotten. You are a good example. My first time in here, some weird dude was hitting on me. Then, I left for the bathroom, and my roommate got hit on by a butch. We bolted out ASAP. I decided to come in again a few months later, only to find that night was not a good representation of what this bar is actually like. To my suprise, the crowd that comes in is usually cool, and the staff are a rare breed for Boulder; they're some of the most efficient bartenders and servers in town. I really like the outdoor space in the back too; it makes me feel like I'm in an Irish forest. All in all, this is a pretty good bar in Boulder. Drinks are moderately priced, always some good specials, and the Friday live music is decent enough to dance to (once I get a drink). Yay!

    Conor O'Neills is an adorable Irish pub. It's large in the back and has an assortment of small tables and booths done up to feel as though one is in Ireland. Fishing nets, rustic wood, fireplaces, beat up old leather chairs, etc. Well drink specials last until 7 so get there after work.

    Though I enjoy the atmosphere here and have always liked the food I've ordered here, and my friends/relatives have enjoyed their libations, and their authentic imported Irish decor is second to none......................I still miss The James, the Irish pub that used to occupy this space for many, many years. I have such fond memories of listening to music and even dancing a jig or two in the back courtyard area at the James. I can still recall their James red ale, their own custom brew, and even the Long Island Iced Tea. It was all so good at the James. One can't live in the past, but I sometimes try to. Yet it is not possible. We progress onward, and must accept the present reality. Alas.

    First off: LOVE THE BUILDING! This space is very cool. Dark, worn, hodgepodge just like an Irish pub should be. I almost expected to hear thick burred accents all around me and find my friends from County Cork. It's not fancy and it's not slick. Beer was nummy. They knew what a Snakebite was. That's rare stateside (in my experience). Bartender made us a Shandy. My midwestern girly heart was so happy. We got there around 3 on a Saturday. Soccer game playing in the background. Nibbled plates from the happy hour menu. The figs w/ bacon and blue cheese were over-powered on the cheese but I'm not going to complain. I just want more fig with the cheese. The seared tuna was ok. Not great, not awful, ok. The apple/cheese pastries were delicious. I wanted more than was good for me. Overall I was happy. I like any place that makes me feel like I'm back in Eiré.

    I'm surprised by the reviews here; I really like Conor's. However, going off some previous reviews, I will offer what I feel are some semi-needed hints/re-directions 1. Do not order a margarita in an Irish bar/restaurant. I didn't feel I would need to say that but apparently so. Go to the Rio or the tequila bistro or Juanita's or..well...anywhere else probably. 2. Being a musician I apparently take this knowledge for granted but I have honest-to-god never been in an Irish bar, (in America I mean) without there being a band. An Irish/Celtic/bluegrass-y/jam band which includes guitars, violin, some sort of percussion and maybe a random flute player. If they are not there, then you're missing something. Truly. Don't complain and just be happy there's a back room and a patio so you can get away if you really don't like it. It's quieter than blasted music from the stereo. And if they just used a stereo, I think an even greater number of people would write reviews saying "I thought this was an irish bar? Where's the band?!" Oh, and if you're wondering why they play bluegrass, I'll give you three guesses as to where bluegrass gets its roots. 3. Go to the bar!!!!!!! If you don't like the service, (for drinks of course), then skip the middle man and go to the source. 4. Tip- yes at least on weekends they charge a cover- $1. Last night, however, friends and I forgot about said cover and kind of faltered, and realized we had no cash. They waved us in and told us not to worry about it. I've eaten here twice I think and have been satisfied both times. I like the variety of seating here- some large booths and bars, and some talbes so tucked away you barely notice they're there.

    A quite hot Irish Bar in Boulder. There are live music after 10 P.M. It's very busy at that time. GUINNESS is good. But can't having too much after a really full meal in Pearl Street. Decoration is also interesting. You can see the street sign labeling both English and Irish, a bicycle on the roof, and a painting of Ireland map in silver on the wall. It's a Jazz band the night I came. I really hope I can hear Irish music next time.

    Conor O'Neill's has great ambiance. But the service is awful and the food is worse. We went for brunch on a Saturday, just two of us, and the restaurant didn't seem busy. But our server was incredibly slow. It took forever for him to bring us menus and an absurdly long time to get our food. Two people sat down next to us just after he brought our meals, and we had finished our entire meals before he even brought them menus. He never offered to refill our drinks or check on us. Finally I went across the street to the ATM to get cash rather than wait even longer for him to process my credit card. He wasn't rude or anything, just a very unskilled waiter. This happened the last time we were there, too, with a different server. I'm not sure if they restaurant is grossly understaffed, if the management makes poor hiring decisions, or if they don't train their staff well enough. Perhaps it's one of those places where people come for the ambiance rather than the service, and the management knows it and doesn't bother to require good service. And the food wasn't good, either. My omelet looked like it had been run over, and was missing the cheese it was supposed to have. It was bland and greasy and definitely not worth 8 dollars considering that it only came with toast. I think Conor's is great if you're just going for the Irish pub atmosphere. Maybe the service is better if you're just ordering drinks at the bar. But I see no reason to ever go back again for food or brunch. Too bad--I really enjoyed it in the past. The one good thing was the coffee--it was fresh and tasty, although I wasn't offered a refill.

    I hate to do this, as I've been eating at Conor's for almost a decade now, and have had many quality meals and beers there, but there's no getting around it: the current incarnation of Conor's in Boulder is not very good. As is our custom, we went for the Sunday Irish session, which was excellent as usual. (This particular session has always been one of the best around - great musicians and atmosphere, wonderful craic.) But for reasons I don't understand, they crammed the 10 session musicians and about 20 or so spectators in the cramped back room, evidently so they could show football on the TVs in the main room... with about 4 people watching. How does that make sense? Which part of "Irish pub" don't they understand? It was almost as if they were trying to hide the one bit of fun and authenticity in the place. Weird. Then there was the menu. Several of my favorites are no longer available (like the curry and chips), or have changed for the worse. The shepherd's pie - once a a rich, flavorful, authentic old-standby - is now generic and overly salty. But that was nothing compared to my dinner companion's veggie boxty (which also isn't on the menu any more, although they'll make it for you if you ask for it). This may have been THE SALTIEST DISH I HAVE EVER EATEN IN A RESTAURANT. It was absolutely disgusting. It got sent back immediately, which is not something either of us had ever felt compelled to do. On top of this, the mashed potatoes were old and gluey, the side of broccoli - which used to just be a side of broccoli, go figure! - is now served swimming in salty butter, and the beer selection is not what it should be for a half-decent pub. No Boddington's, no Tetley's, no Old Speckled or Fullers (yes I know these are British, but Conor's has always mixed it up a bit), and they were out of Kilkenny. Gee, guess I'll have a Guinness. One positive note: the chips (fries) are still the same as they've always been, which is to say quite tasty, especially with vinegar. Come for the music on Sundays, but if consistently good pub food and quality beer selection is your goal, skip Conor's and head up Broadway to the Toad.

    I thought my fish & chips were very good, the service was acceptable and the ambiance good. I was alarmed after reading the reviews here, but decided to go check it out anyway. I was supposed to meet a group of people there. We sat in the very back, which is nice because they have skylights so it is bright and open feeling. Our server was attentive and efficient. My Fish & Chips arrived quickly and hot. Granted, I got there before 6:00pm, which may have helped, but I certainly had nothing to complain about. Would I go back? Yes. It was a bit loud where we were to hold a conversation, but I think other areas are probably quieter. As for complaints about the jam sessions - are you crazy? Have you never been to Ireland? And I agree with the other reviewer, Bluegrass shares roots with Irish folk so it makes perfect sense that Bluegrass jams are held in Irish pubs. If you do not like Bluegrass music (a very sad thing for YOU!) then don't go on nights when they have a jam session. It is fairly simple, no?

    It's rare that I can't entertain myself in an Irish bar. I understand they can be a little grungy, a little loud, a little dark, and maybe I'll hear some off-key singing and rabble-rousing if I'm lucky. But though this is a big space with lots of promise, I never have fun here. Pockets of the bar get packed while other spots are oddly empty. The beer choices are just weak. Service is blah. So many better places in Boulder - even if you are a frat boy.

    Conor's has decent food... not a place I would specifically come to eat, but if you're hungry, it does the trick. I like the little outdoor patio in the back and the decor and atmosphere inside. It's dark and full of wood. Order up a Smithwicks and enjoy.

    Connor O'Neill's has a homey, ramshackle appeal. It feels like it was constructed by pasting together a few smaller pubs, a cottage or two and a fishing boat. It has a cute stone fireplace or two and a curvy, polished bar of heavy wood. I usually stop in here once a winter for their great potato leak soup, and some chips and curry. The Boxty's are good (sometimes a bit greasy) and I hear the fish and chips hit the spot. There is frequently live music, the stuff I've heard seems to be vaguely irish with various twists (mountain/folk/punk). Obviously, I'm having difficulty categorizing, but it's all been good. Connor's hosts Pub Quiz on Mondays. Teams complete gruelling rounds of trivia (ties are settled by a chug-off) and the winning team takes home a prize. Pretty fun! starts @ 9:30. I've been there before fo St. Patrick's Day and it was insane. There was a long line to get in, and when you do get in, forget about finding anywhere to sit/lean/eat/converse.

    The pulled pork sandwich is excellent, and the curry and chips are fabulous! Typical beer selection for an Irish pub along with a few local selections. Great place to spend an afternoon watching soccer.

    Given the option I would have given 2.5 stars, just sayin. My husband and I went on our first date at Connor's years ago and it has kept a special place in our hearts. We have spent many evenings at Connor's listening to great live music, enjoying the patio, grabbing drinks from our favorite barkeep Eli, or chowing down on some fish & chips. We even had our rehearsal dinner there! The manager helped organize our rehearsal dinner and everything was fabulous. The food isn't mind blowing but it isn't meant to be. It is pub food, straight up. The last few times we have been things seem to have gone down hill a bit. So much so that the last time we were witting with friends on the patio an obnoxious, drunk man came over and attempted to water some hanging plants right above our head. When we pointed out that we were sitting right there and it would spray on us he stated "Sorry guys, the flowers have to be watered. Deal with it." Thinking he was another entitled Boulderite we mentioned the incident to our (overwhelmed) server and she informed us that he was the manager, albeit off duty. Poor girl looked like she might have walked out then and there. One would think the manager would have attempted to help their employees who were obviously in the weeds, not drunkenly harass the customers. I'm sure we will go back eventually but the whole incident left a bad taste.

    It was a great time. I was throwin down pints of Smithwick's and shots of Jameson. Indulgers were rockin the stage and tearin it up. my gripe: put some AC in the mens' bathroom. it was a frickin sauna in there, and it stunk! other than that, i'll be back when i'm in the Hoooooooooood

    I came here for a business meeting and was pleasantly surprised by both a great beer selection and great food/appetizers. For an appetizer, the sweet potato tater tots with chipotle ketchup were amazing. And for the main course, the fish and chips were awesome (especially the tarter sauce). The service was great and I'll definitely be coming back here more often.

    A great spot to get a pint or an irish car bomb (the drink, people). Great beer, live music, and authentic food. Highlights are the fish and chips and the Shepherd's Pie. Any place you can get Boddington's and Guinness on tap is a great spot. I too miss the James - I got cut off and kicked out of there on my 21st Birthday.. Oh, the memories.

    After assuming my friend's ID was fake, (it was a duplicate, and from New Hampshire) we called in the men in blue to sort things out (and get her ID back). We got the ID back, and got a free round of car bombs out of the whole ordeal. The bouncers were on a huge power trip, but the manager was nice after realizing their mistake (big surprise). The drinks were average, the atmosphere was average for an Irish pub, and the service was very slow. I don't suggest going on a Friday or Saturday night, it's not worth the wait.

    Good location, decent bartenders, great servers, Kronenburg on tap, and a nice HH menu too. Irish nachos - never thought I'd have nachos with peas on them, but I actually really liked them. The fried shrimp and black/tan o-rings are nice too. Never had a MEAL here, but the finger food keeps me comin' back.

    The food is TERRIBLE. I recently got really ill (food poisoning perhaps?) from a lunch out with co-workers here (and I ate a seemingly benign meal of soup and a sandwich). I would not recommend the food to anyone, however for drinking and having fun, it's aight. However, it's typically always crowded on Thursday-Saturday nights.

    Conor's has a different food special for each night of the week (I seem to remember incredible chicken pesto quesadillas for $4). They offer the ubiquitous Irish pub beer selections and good food. I have not yet been disappointed by Conor O'Neil's.

    Haven't eaten here but I love it none the less. Great beers on tap- slightly pricey but awesome. I've seen various bands here but last time I was here the former lead guitarist from James Brown tore up the stage and did a cover of The Beatles Abbey Road at midnight. It was pretty sweet. It's always a fun night out and the people are just as fun. I haven't heard anything great about their food but you always have to try it for yourself!

    I like Irish bars, and apparently so does everyone else in Boulder. The place was absurdly crowded the last couple times I went. So crowded that as much as I like Irish bars I haven't gone back in over a year. So Conor O'Neil's gets four stars even though I never go there anymore.

    Absurdly popular on weekend nights, so I must be missing something. Standard bar beer/drinks (Guiness included, of course) and a standard bar menu. The food is somewhere between forgetable and just plain bad. Oh, and the service won't win any friendliness awards.

    Yes--that special place for that special JPop meeting (regarding JPop) so come along for some nachos and a martini...or whatever else you might like [that is even a little more Irish]. Well, anyways, stop by for some Irish....things (that you might expect at an Irish pub). As well as typical mumbo jumbo you would find at a bar, say, lip from a mouthy cocktail waitress. But it's okay, not to worry, you are free, you are safe, at Conor O'neill's.

    I was very pleasantly surprised by my experience here. I had low to no expectations but I wanted a quick lunch and saw they have an Irish Businessman's lunch where you can get fish and chips, Shepard's pie, or mix and match soups, salads and 1/2 sandwiches all for only $6! The ambiance was cute, the service was friendly and quick, and the food was yummy and fresh. Especially for the price, I was impressed. Salad is always a gamble but they more than delivered on freshness and toppings and their take on a BLT with rashers instead of bacon was tasty. I also got the 10% discount for having an Eco-pass, making this meal a steal. The fish and chips looked tasty and they had other things I was curious about like black & tan onion rings and curry & chips. I can't wait to come back for happy hour and have a Scotch egg!

    Here for an Ironman race, and stopped into this great Irish Pub! Erin the bartender was super nice! Good bar food, great Irish Pub vibe on the interior.     Great food and good ambience. My wife and I have visited Connor's several times and have not been disappointed. We've tried everything on the menu and all have been prepared very well. The fish & chips are spot-on and the Irish breakfast is FANTASTIC! My wife and kids (5 of 'em) love the shepard's pie and the pub pie. Wait and bar staff are quite friendly and attentive. When it gets busy (Trivia Night) it gets a bit discombobulating so give the Staff a break. Oh, you receive a free drink on your Birthday!

    OMG, my wife and I came in for a couple of happy hour cocktails - which were very reasonably priced, and we decided to order the Mushroom Pesto Veggie Burger on the gluten free bun. I know, it's an Irish Pub but seriously, we're Italian - I love the Irish but the food is horrible! However, this veggie burger was UNBELIEVEABLE! This is a 30 mile radius destination veggie burger joint! And by the way, the beer selection is good too!

    I go here to watch many soccer games or just for a pint if I'm in Boulder. The atmosphere is great and the food is a great balance of quality vs reasonably priced. The biggest complaint I have is the music. As an Irish bar, I would expect more of a commitment to soccer events. I'm a Rapids fan and it is almost impossible to get them to accommodate our viewing parties because they have such a love affair with their musical acts. No offense, but some of those acts are not worth what they're giving up in revenue from 20+ thirsty and hungry soccer fans. It's a bit nit-picky, but for an Irish bar it should be something that is assumed. Overall, I like the bar, service, and prices. If they'd commitment to being a true Irish pub by celebrating CO and USA soccer events, I'd be there for every game.

    We went for in the early afternoon to get the full Irish breakfast, so can't speak to night-life. Having lived in Ireland for a year, I am particular about my Irish food. Their "full Irish" comes with tomato, potato, black pudding, white pudding, sausage, eggs, a slice of soda/brown bread, and a rasher. A good amount of food! The puddings were over done, but the rest of the meal was pretty good. Not the best I've ever had, but it fit the bill! A side note, our server was incredibly friendly and courteous, and looked a little bit like Glen Hansard. Thus adding to the authentic atmosphere :)

    This place has a horrible RAT problem, so make sure there's not rat shit in your drink Bc it's happened to multiple people I know. There's a bar tender who's about 25, around 5'6" with brown hair that absolutely sucks at making drinks. One time I had ordered a drink and she took 30mins to get it, then she ended up not serving me Bc it was 1:30. But my friend who ordered after me got his drink. She's a dumb bitch don't get any drinks from her. The Manager with blond kinda curly hair girl that 5"10 will steal people's money by up charging different people on the same drink. The staff that work here is probably the rudest people working at a bar that I've ever met. The only good thing about this bar is the live music.

    I turned 21 one month ago and my ID is brand new. It is completely valid and legal and the bouncer told me to my face that it was a fake ID... 10 minutes later it took 3 more bouncers and some guy with a light to determine that in fact my ID is real. They hardly apologized, it was ridiculous! I didn't even want to go in at that point because it was just insulting and I never want to go back. I know that legal licenses in Boulder are precious to bars and restaurants, but seriously these people need to train their bouncers better!

    I come here every few weeks for happy hour when I have to wait for my bus and have been VERY happy every time. This most recent time I was there past happy hour, so had to order from the normal menu. The Steak Cottage Boxty was fantastic. One of the best meals to go with a couple pints ever.

    This place might deserve 4 stars -- it has a lot of character and the staff was super friendly and capable juggling multiple dietary concerns -- but I'm vegan and there were really only a few options, thus the 3 stars. My co-workers all seemed to love their dishes and the (vegan-friendly) sweet potato tater tots were a popular appetizer all around. I got a mushroom wrap, sans cheese, and found it to be decent. No dessert option for me, but I was a bit envious of my friends' vanilla ice cream with Baileys and cinnamon (something the house just whipped up). Definitely worth a visit, and if you're non-vegan, probably worth return visits :)

    I really, really liked this bar. My newly-21 year old brother brought the family here on our recent Parents' Weekend excursion to Boulder for a post-game dinner and some good old fashioned drinking with the parents. As someone who has been to a fair amount of pubs in Ireland, I have to say that they got the ambiance down quite well - small, rickety too-small chairs included. Kind of weird that they don't have more Irish beers on tap, though... But anyway, after buying my brother his first Irish Car Bomb, we settled in for dinner. Shared the fish and chips with my mother, which was just how I like it - not overdone, and not over battered. Dad had the pub pie and deemed it delicious - the buffalo sausage wasn't really my thing so I abstained. The only funny thing to me was how many times my poor brother got carded! I do understand that it's a college town, and that we were there when dinner was wrapping up and the bar hours starting... but seriously 4 times in the span of about 15 minutes while he already had the handstamp? It went from hilarious to obnoxious pretty quickly.

    This review is based on the blast I had here on NYE this year, so it probably won't reflect the everyday service they provide. That being said, I don't think there is anywhere I would've rather been on New Year's. For a $1 cover, they had the 80's cover band, The Goonies, playing and doing a countdown this particular evening. The entertainment was absolutely hilarious and so much fun to watch and dance to. They also had free champagne at midnight for everyone to toast with, which was so nice. The place was PACKED... you definitely had to leave your "bubble" at the door. The one thing about the bar that I found quite inconvenient was the placement of the bathrooms.... downstairs. I can see that being tougher and tougher to navigate the more "Irish" one may get spending time here. ;) Other than the precarious stairs, I though Conor O'Neill's was great and would like to come back sometime other than NYE.

    If not completely an authentic Irish pub, it's a good approximation. They serve a decent, if limited, variety of imported beers. I was disappointed to see the lack of Irish choices, especially that they serve Strongbow instead of Magner's cider. The waiter kept pronounced "Smithwick's" incorrectly, which gave me a chuckle since I was pointedly pronouncing it correctly, hoping he'd get it. The atmosphere is really nice; they clearly went to great lengths to make it feel like an Irish local. It look authentic. For food, we had the shepherd's pie, the fish and chips, the pastries, and brownies. The shepherd's pie could have used larger bits of meat, and more of it. Otherwise, it was decent. Not awesome, but good for a bar. The fish and chips were served with malt vinegar, which is aces in my book. The meat pastries were really, really yummy. The brownies were clearly not made in-house but...hey, it's a bar, not a foodie place. In all, I'd say this place looks authentic, but needs to expand it's Irish drink selection. The food wasn't awesome, but honestly, I wouldn't worry about change since it's bar food.

    Came here xmas eve with the wife and 2 kids. Seated ourselves in the back. Wide selection of seating. Onion rings as appetizer were superb. The fries with the Fish and Chips were also quite tasty. The kids liked their burger and fries from the kids menu. Our server did a good job, no complaints. Got beer, and water, a-ok. The fish of the fish and chips was really greasy. Too greasy. I have to say, this is not the best fish in boulder. Also, I am 90% sure that the beer is not served in a 20 oz pint, I got a 16 instead. all of our beers came in the 16oz. it says that they are 20 ozers on the menu.

    This place is great. It's a really nice vibe and chill enough to have a conversation with someone. They have great drinks and it doesn't have the same college crowd as most of the other bars. It's not totally authentic as far as Irish bars go, but it draws the same crowd, so it's good enough for me!

    Conor O'Neill's, in my opinion, is one of the best bars on Pearl Street. Yeah, on some nights there is a cover charge....of a dollar. Personally, I would rather pay the $1 cover charge on Thursday night to hear some local, live music and have a few $3 car bombs than get into a dingy, smelly basement bar playing overly loud, generic music for free. There are several different areas to hang out in (patio, bar, room where the band plays, room with tables/booths) depending on what you're feeling. It has a nice atmosphere and a decent selection of drinks and drink specials-- how can you go wrong with $3 car bombs and $2 dollar Sessions?! (actually, you can go wrong. very wrong, but we won't get into that)

    Cute spot tucked away on 13th Street. Kinda was in the mood for a black and tan in this seemed like the spot to get one. 3rd place we hit up in Boulder that afternoon and by far the most secluded & quietest spot. Guess that's what happens at 2pm on a Thursday. Who knew kids actually go to class?! We opted to grab a drink at the bar and sit outside and enjoy the beautiful Rocky Mountain air. We were the only people on the patio which gave us a lot of catching up time. Really enjoyed the Irish decor. Great (not so) little pub. Definitely would be perfect for a group outing. Made me really regret not thinking about Colorado when I was thinking about college...

    Went here with a friend last night. We got 2 scotch eggs which were a bit over boiled and sadly my chips were the best part of my Ruben sandwich. $11 for a sandwich that might has well been cheap store bought bread, and the corned beef seemed like packaged lunch meat. It was also quite small for the price tag. To top it all off, my beer tasted old (kegged). The service was spot on however. The food was so mediocre that I could have made a much better sandwich at home. I won't be back.

    Cute bar in Boulder. Very friendly staff and excellent wine pours. When there is live music, it is quite difficult to hear, but it has a lively, fun atmosphere that can appeal to everyone. Prices are also reasonable (though, I'm not sure really of the point of the $1 cover...but I suppose $1 isn't too bad). Super cute.

    This place was recommended to us by a jeep tour guide from Estes Park. Fast service, good food, great atmosphere. There for lunch on a rainy day, so not very busy. Looks like a fun place to spend an evening.

    While the atmosphere is generally great I have to say that the service is absolutely TERRIBLE! The waitstaff is rude and slow. Additionally the $1 cover charge makes no sense, especially due to the expensive prices at the bar.

    Very cool pub. Relaxed and friendly during the day, fun live music at night. I've eaten here a few times and loved the food. The only reason I held back from five stars is the beer selection is a bit lacking, but still half decent. Most of all I love the atmosphere.

    This place is a nice, cozy, Irish-style pub. I've been in twice now-the first time was on a Friday night to meet some Boulder friends for some drinks and conversation, and I was in again recently for a drink on New Years. First of all, the ambience is great. I feel like a lot of places that go for the old world pub look can end up looking really cheesy, with cliched stuff all over the walls and forced style. Not this place. It actually kind of feels like an Irish pub! The beer selection is great and of course includes stand-bys like Guiness and Stella. And naturally, the full bar offers a big range of whiskey for those inclined to drink some harder stuff. The staff is super chill and cool. The server the first time I came was helpful, including in splitting our bill, and checking in and making sure we were quenched. When I was here for NYE the staff was handling really cooly and calmly, which was nice. If you're on Pearl Street, pop into Conor O'Neill's. I think you'll dig it.

    Wow, I know it was 11pm on a Saturday night and you had probably dealt with a lot of drunk college kids at that point but what crap service. After being looked over at least 4 times a very rude female bartender came over to take our drink order. When my friend ordered, the bartender said "We're out of that." and turned around and walked off. She came back about 3 minutes later and acted annoyed at having to try to take our drink order again so I ordered nothing and paid for my friend's drinks. There is no WAY I'm going to order a drink and tip you when you act like that. You are in the service industry and if you don't like it, go work elsewhere. I too am in the service industry and tip well and have money to spend so lesson for you.

    We popped into Conor O'Neill's because apparently he's played here a time or two. Seemed to line up, particularly given that I'm Irish and love anything related to the Irish or Ireland though particularly the booze part. But it kind of smelled in there, and that makes me itch. I sat at the bar anyway while he walked around talking to all manner of other people --- don't you love when dudes do that? I think I ordered a patty melt and it was kind of mushy and hard for a lady to eat without looking like a starved jackal. Guess what, I ate most of it anyway. I drank the usual --- cosmopolitan this, lemon drop that --- and the girls behind the bar were very nice, if not particularly adept at making a good drink. That sounds a little harsh; God knows I drank them both, waiting for my date to return. Best thing about this place was that there was live Irish music in the front section, just like they do in the Dublin bars. That right there will always put a smile on my face, so three stars for that, as well as the patty melt and drinks I definitely managed to choke down.

    I have lived in Boulder since 2002 and have been to this establishment several times. All I can say in 2014 is stay away. The place is lame! The limited beer selection is good but the staff are rude, inconsiderate and largely career wait staff. The atmosphere has been ruined by the employees and the owners should get a clue or will soon meet the demise of many other Boulder establishments.

    Came here a couple of weeks ago before an Irish show and figured it would be busy but it was pretty dead. We sat at the end of the bar when you first walk in and apart from going downstairs to the bogs, I didn't get to see the backroom but figure they have some sort of patio as that's where the smokers in the group disappeared to. Our bartender was fricken useless as we had to shout for his attention for every round. You would think he would have figured it out after a couple times! Other than that, it was a decent pint of Guinness.

    I went on a night where an Irish band was playing. My Cousin, her friends and I were there to support my cousin's girlfriend's classmate who plays the violin like a fiddle. That was an amazing night to go. The pub was full of people enjoying the music and having a good time. Not to mention the food. I ordered Bangers and Mash. . . 4 good sized irish sausages with perfectly whipped mashed potatoes and gravy. All so delish. I also got to try my friend's Sheppherds pie, made of lamb, veggies and whipped mash. The fish and chips were pretty good as well, the fish was lightly fried and very crisp, the fish was also tender. I ordered the only hard cider on the menu and that went down smoothly with my meal. I wasn't able to look around, but from what I can see, the establishment is deceivingly large. From the front, you would think it was a tiny Irish pub, but as you go further back, it becomes more spacious. I can't wait to go back!!!!

    Sat at the bar and had GREAT service. Potato and leek soup was really good. Shrimp scampi was really average (hey, I know that wasn't a good order on my part, but I was a little buzzed and that's what I wanted!). The decor actually feels really pretty legit. Close to, but not quite as authentic, as O'Dowd's in KC. We will be back!

    We were only here for about 20 minutes while we waited on our bus to arrive. The bar was pretty empty but the bartender was super friendly and didn't make my husband and I pay for our drinks since we were newlyweds...way cool!! Also, we went out back and three guys were playing some live bluegrass music. Very chill atmosphere for a Wednesday night. The bartender warned us that it gets pretty packed with drunk college kids on Thursday nights so if you are into that, that might be your place...if not, maybe avoid Thursday nights. It was a nice little Irish pub...one I wouldn't mind visiting more often!

    I have been to Conor O'Neills several times -- not my choice, but because friends like the trivia despite their overpriced drinks and mediocre food. However, I refuse to go back because even though I am 30 years old and IN POSSESSION OF A VALID STATE-ISSUED COLORADO IDENTITY CARD, I was flatly refused entry by an ill-informed staff. Given all the other reviews I'm now seeing about their poor service, it's not surprising.

    A nudge is as good as a wink to a blind bat! I come here if only to talk in a horrible British accent with my sister. We're not talented enough to do an Irish one. I was entranced by the quaint feel of Conor's when I first arrived in Boulder, but I suppose its kitschiness (and crowds) wore on me a bit since I am typically found elsewhere these days. I popped in for a visit the other night and realized I had missed its subtle charm. Luckily it wasn't as crowded per usual, so me and sis got ourselves a snake bite with some friends. The interior design is like a standard British pub--brick, wood, and interestingly placed nooks and crannies. Yes, I know it's an Irish pub--but the differences aren't that remarkable. I'm not a fan of Conor's food, and they are a bit pricey, but the ambiance on a calm night can be enchanting. Eh? Eh? Eh? Eh?

    I went here for a happy hour on a friday, and I was impressed. They had a great beer selection with decent prices, even if it wasn't that "irish." I tried the chips and curry and a meat pie, and I thought they were good for what they were. The atmosphere was the best, thought. It's definitely worth a try!

    Fun Irish bar in boulder. Good deals on food and drinks. The people who work here have always been very pleasant and attentive. They have a patio outback which is a nice option to have. Good place to watch soccer games with a group. Not the cheapest place around but that also keeps some of the riff raff out.

    Definitely one of my favorite bars in Boulder. Great Monday nights for trivia; crowd is small but enthusiastic, not like the college trivia you'd expect from boulder. Thursdays and weekends are great for live music. One of the few places that does real local live music. Friendly staff, never been disappointed by the food. No matter the day or time, always worth a visit.

    I'm still a fan of this pub but after much traveling, I was less WOW'd this time. We ordered pints and sandwiches for dinner. The server said the Irish band was playing in the back but we didn't hear or see them whatsoever. I had the Turkey Club and it was fine and they offer veggies as a substitute for fries. The Avery IPA was good. It wasn't too busy or too empty for a Sunday night on a holiday weekend. I would go back.

    This was the first bar I experienced in Boulder, and frankly I had high hopes which were dashed pretty quick. I'm not a cheap dude, but these guys charged $1 cover to see a very lackluster band. The shot specials - jager / irish car bombs were cheap - however irish whisky was $9 a drink WTF! really? not cool when everyone else in town sells it for $6 or less, seriously dude. side note: we had lackluster waitstaff - they had issues bringing us a bill with the correct amount on it. The place itself has real potential, but I'm not a fan of how it's run currently. Maybe the food could redeem my opinion but I'm probably not going back to test that theory.

    Irish college bar, it's pretty hard to mess that up and this place focuses on good music including authentic Irish tunes in the week, which makes them a little cooler IMO. Only reason not 5 stars is that it can get a little crazy on the weekend but that just goes with the territory, worth checking out

    alert alert! this is the same conor o'neill's that is in ann arbor but the bread pudding is not the same! this whole review is about the bread pudding so stop reading if that's not what you came for. apparently there are two of them in the entire country and the other is here in boulder. the boyf asked the front desk at our hotel if there was a good place to get bread pudding and she told us conor's had it. from the outside, it looks almost exactly like the one in ann arbor, and even has its weird spelling. but as soon as i had a taste of the bread pudding, i knew they were not related. the bread pudding wasn't nearly as good. here, it was gritty and chunky instead of soft and bready. the sauce is the same though, so that's a plus. one thing that's also better here is that it already comes with ice cream so you don't have to order it separately. but when we looked it up later, it turned out they were the same restaurant. i kind of still don't believe it. this post is to warn all others who may wander in here from ann arbor thinking it will be the same bread pudding. i'd give it one star for the disappointment and confusion it caused, but it gets a star back for the friendly service and scoop of ice cream.

    I like the kinda worn beer hall feel except for the stale beer soaked into the floor smell. Yes .. I love drinking good beer but not interested in the stale beer smell I associated with budweiser/coors beer halls I frequented in the past. Was actually expecting mediocre food but the Rueben with a side of steamed broccoli was very tasty. 4 stars for food penalized by 1 star for the smell.
