Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar - Southlands Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

I really enjoyed this place minus the wait. Well, even the wait (in the summertime) was not that bad. There is a dedicated area to wait outside near the movie theatre until your pager goes off. Once inside we sat on the dining patio. We had quick service, plenty of drinks, and the food was hot. What more could you ask for? Hopefully service stays this way. This may be one of my favorite restaurants at Southlands. I'm definitely a fan!

Bad Daddy's is really great. The first time we ever went here, the food tasted blah. Almost like a burger I could cook from home. However, we decided to give this place another try, and the food was SPECTACULAR! Way better than the first time. Bad Daddy's is a little expensive but worth it if you are looking for a fun place to eat and drink.

We come about twice a month, and usually create our own burgers. The salads are delicious too! Be sure to come earlier in the evenings Fri- Sat to get a table, or you may be faced with a LONG wait. The house made American cheese is a MUST. I can't understand why you would get another kind of cheese!!! It is delicious. The turkey burger is a good alternative if you're looking for one.

Chain places really aren't my thing if I can help it, but our friends wanted to eat here so we gave it a go... Our server was fairly attentive. This place was popping on a Saturday night, so we had about a 40 minute wait for our table- in the bar. The bar. I've never had to put my name on a list just to sit in the loud, obnoxious bar area. But I digress... I did the build your own burger. I chose a regular beef patty, traditional bun, American cheese, bacon, and mushrooms. I ordered fries as my side, with a side of ranch. My burger came cooked well as ordered... But it was just meh. The meat didn't taste like anything- not even salt and pepper. The mushrooms tasted canned. The fries were the really thin variety, and not even crispy. The ranch was some chipotle ranch nonsense, which I didn't eat. I did have a cocktail- see my picture. I'm fairly sure the bartender forgot to put any liquor in it, but the juice was good. All in all... Don't waste your time, folks. There's nothing to see here.

The burgers were a bit oily for me, but the choice of beers were great. The prices were not that bad and the staff was great to work with, so if you need a decent place for a lunch or dinner then I would say Bad Daddy's is not a bad place to go for it.

Every burger I've tried has been amazing. Not a quiet atmosphere, but it's fun, and must of the servers have been great.

I still haven't had chance to sit at the dining area. It's been long wait every time I have been here. For burger and brew, people are willing to wait for more than 30 minutes. Lucked out tonight when the seats came up at the bar area. Attentive bartenders got the drinks taken care of right away and also took the food orders. Pros: 1. symbiotic relationship with local breweries like hall brewering, prost, dry dock, Two22 and several others. Also has big brands like the Blue Moon/Sam Adams and the usual. 2. Perfect place to grab dinner before or after the movie next door 3. Friendly wait staff 4. Price is very competitive and generous on portions. 5. Best cheat meal you can have and biggest regret you gonna have from eating loads of delicious sweet potatoe fries, yummilicious burger and washing down with brews you can only get in Colorado. Cons Not much to think of at this time other than long waits. Had few large tables sitting unoccupied while people are jam packed at the front. Something is not right here. Over all, my meal was good, service was great, my wait time wasn't long.... happy diner here. I will be back!

You can tell when a new place opens in the 'burbs because the level of excitement and traffic is off the charts. That was Bad Daddy's on the past opening weekend. It was practically busting at the seams with people waiting inside and out. I will say they managed the crowds well and our wait in a seemingly sea of people was short (15m). We were sat in the bar area at a pub table and our waitress came right over. She was very friendly and explained the menu and pointed out some of the popular items. We ordered a couple beers (they have a good selection) and an order of their fried pickles. The pickles are sandwich stacker sliced with a thin breading, fried crispy with ranch. They had a good flavor and you get a big portion. For lunch, the hubby ordered a bacon cheese burger on steroids and fries - as expected it was huge. I went with a non-burger Burger, the Chicken Club. I have to say my club was totally different than expected in a good way. Their house made American cheese was oooey-gooey and the combo of the chicken burger with the ham and the bacon gave a wonderful flavor. The fries were plentiful, although a touch limp. Honestly, I loved everything about the place. The open rafters, the big bar, friendly service and hearty food. I think it goes in the regular rotation!

I had a hour before the movie starts at amc. So I decided to try Big daddys next door. Its awesome. The best margarita I ever had. Bad ass rocks margarita is a must try. They have happy hour menu. Nice place to hangout. Will visit again!!

I don't care what you're in the mood for, it need not even be burgers, I promise they have your back! I just custom made a salad and shake, with all sorts of fresh fruits and such....SO amazing! Blueberries in both, mmm! I ordered a cookie shake for my kids and they split it up 3 ways, kiddos were happy as clams and perfect portions, less guilt! Husband was 100% satisfied with his grilled chicken sandwich bathed in hot sauce. My teenage vegetarian was very content with her modified nachos platter. We WILL be back!

Visit 5/12/14 @ 9:00pm This was the first time I have been here and the staff was extremely nice even though we were those customers that arrived an hour before closing time ! The place is small but cool! The food is amazing I got the bacon steroids burger and my husband got a regular cheeseburger and they definitely hit the spot! I am also a huge fan of the fried Pickles ! Their happy hour is great! My husband loved the IPA selection they have ! TOTALLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE

My boyfriend and I were shopping at Park Meadows and decided to pop in for a quick bite. This was our first time coming here. The wait time was about 10 minutes at 2PM on a Saturday, which we didn't mind because it was nice outside. I got the salad and my boyfriend got the Bad Ass burger. My salad was about 6$ and his burger was 14$. My salad was small. Very small. The only reason it filled me up remotely was because i ordered chicken on it (for 3$ extra). The only reason I'm giving this restaurant a 3 is because my salad was good. Small, but good. I tried my boyfriends burger and it definitely wasn't the best I've had. The service wasn't very great either. I had to get up and ask a bartender for a glass of water due to the fact that our server was no where to be found. The restaurant also wasn't very clean. Trash on the floor, menus on the floor, etc. Red Robin is a lot cheaper and has better quality burgers. Also this restaurant is a Pepsi restaurant which is a bummer for people who dislike Pepsi (me). Would I return? Maybe in a few months, the quality may improve. This restuaunt has huge potential, but they aren't quite there yet.

Love the new location at Southlands! You have to try the Frenchie! A big, juicy turkey burger smothered with melted brie, thinly sliced granny smith apples, mmm mmm goodness! Add a few sweet potatoe fries and you are all set! My friend went with the Reuben burger that looked absolutely divine!

Build your own burger! Great drinks great burgers the kids had a blast too! The fried pickles are awesome too! The girls and I met there around 11:30 on a Wednesday and the place was packed! Great service, great patient servers (we had 7 kids with us!) great food and you can't beat 50 cent soft serve for the kids!

This place is amazing! I've been in Denver visiting a friend and we have been 3 times this past week! The food is spot on. The sweet potato fries are some of the best I've ever had (and I'm a huge spf eater) and their bad ass margaritas are amazing! This place is family friendly and nothing we have had is bad. Also, a great place for happy hour daily 3-6!

  • Alex L.

Yummy yummy yummy! Sit at the bar if you're of age and order the happy hour plates to get all the variety in your tummy! Service is awesome and bartenders are super cool to boot. If we lived any closer, we would probably spend more time here. :)

Love bad daddy's burgers. The fried pickles are the best. The staff is so friendly. The make your own salad and burgers is just for me!! My family says it's a win win. Kinda pricey but worth it. Repeat offender here

For years we have prayed for a good burger place to open (or stay open) near us or somewhere we go a lot. Thank you lord for delivering Bad Daddy's unto us! Being a huge fan of the movie theater next door, it has now become our Saturday tradition to catch a matinee then head here for a late lunch. At first we ordered off the menu, but we really love building our own burgers / turkey burgers. I really want to try build your own salad, but the burgers are so good! I haven't had drinks here yet.

Second visit and it was just as amazing as the first time! Truffle fries addictive and tasty!!!! Kids tried the buffalo burger and build your own burger! Happy hour is sweetness! $3.00 bad daddy ale 16oz......great price! I would highly recommend! No disappointment here!!!!

Awesome food and great service. We want at an off time like 4:30 on a Sunday so we didn't have to wait at all for a table. The restaurant/bar itself is clean and has modern industrial feel. We started wth fried pickles and even though I'm not a huge fan these ones were really good. Not the average over salted hamburger slices but whole pickles sliced the length and fried in their buttermilk batter! Hubs and friend had the bad ass burger and absolutely loved every bite of it. Seriously deep fried battered bacon on a burger WTH! I had the pastrami burger and it was fantastic as well. Great burgers comimg from a burger as a last choice kinda girl. Really friendly staff. We will definitely be back for more.

I love this place, it's one of my new favorite restaurants. Their burgers are incredible, and you can really have them made anyway you want. I always do the make my own burger option. Where else can you get a burger with no bun, plus peanut butter, bacon and mushrooms. (I know the peanut butter part sounds weird, but trust me on this and give it a shot.....it's incredible on burgers) I've had a make your own salad there too, also excellent! The staff is very friendly, but it can get pretty busy in there especially on the weekends. Lunch time usually isn't too bad. They've got a good selection of local beers too, as some others have stated.

  • Gloria M.

Came here to try the build your own burgers.../it was okay paid practically almost 15 bucks for a burger... Geez!!! They charge for every condiment. That's cray! Anyways good meat but overall okay... I'll try to come back for the truffle fries

Have to say I was fairly impressed after visiting here this weekend. Service was excellent, beer was good, and the food was fantastic. We started with the fried pickles appetizer (which were longer and thinner than normal fried pickles) and they were great. Followed it up with a burger. I forget exactly which one it was, but it was covered in BBQ, bacon and cheese the burger itself was excellent. Prices seems about average for Southlands and the wait time was about what you'd expect for a new restaurant right next to the movie theater. We'll be back.

Awww yeah! I'm so stoked that Bad Daddy's is in Denver! I used to walk to the location in Charlotte when I lived there and it was still Big Daddy's and it's one of the few things I miss from NC. Happy to see that the menu is still the same and my favorite burger is still a menu staple, the Sam I Am--Ham, Fried Egg, American Cheese and Pesto atop a juicy burger? Yep, sign me up! We came here on Friday night and there was a wait (naturally, it's Southlands), so we ended up sitting at the bar and had stellar service. They have happy hour from 3-6 then 8-close, I had no ideas about that so I was pleasantly surprised to get some appetizer grub on the cheap. The fried pickles are a must, the chili is a pass and their wings are great. Also, the Bad Daddy's Special Sauce is a must, it's literally finger licking good! Wonderful selection of the hooch as well along with local beer on tap plus adult milkshakes if you're so inclined.

I don't often write a rave review as I don't often find places to rave about. Bad Daddy's at Southlands is a true exception - thus, let me rave. The drink menu includes a generous offering of grown-up beverages from delicious & unique cocktails to beers which will tantalize the palate of a brew connoisseur. My favorite: Mercenary Stout by Odell. The Apricot Ale is very nice, too. The food menu is short & sweet but by no means ordinary or boring. Even your standard sandwiches have a touch of something different, making them pop out from what you see elsewhere. After appetizers, you can build your own burger, build your own salad or choose from a selection of great concoctions from the kitchen. I absolutely LOVE the Sam I Am burger, featuring a juicy beef patty, American cheese, slice of ham, pesto (yeah, yummy pesto!) and a fried egg, done perfectly so the yolk runs out when you sink you teeth into it. This is my second visit and Bad Daddy's seems quite consistent. They're my new fav. Highly recommended! - The atmosphere is great. - Staff is friendly, knowledgable and very attentive. - Prices are lower than I'd expect. - Music is awesome. You'll love it if you get into classic rock or appreciate real tunes from the 70's & 80's. - Indoor or covered outdoor dining. - Clean. - Quick service. Even during the lunch rush we were served and had plenty of time to enjoy lunch & relax during the hour we were there.

Amazing burgers and drinks. Loved the blackberry moonshine and I tried the special which was a Chimichurri Burger. Burger was cooked perfectly and tasted great. The atmosphere was casual. A great place that we'll definitely come back to.

My kids absolutely love building their own burger and the burgers are very good. Service was great, drinks were constantly replenished, and everything we ordered turned out exactly as expected. We love this place... Now if only the wait wasn't 55 minutes all of the time......

  • Rene H.

We started out with the fried pickles and a few cold beers. Beer was serviced at the perfect temperature! Fried pickles were a bit on the salty side, but still were outstanding. We then ordered the bacon cheese burger on steroids with fries and a side salad. The side salad was a create your own Burger and fries were perfect! We will be back!

I would highly recommend going on a weekday when it isn't stupid busy unless you want to wait 40 minutes to an hour! Service was mediocre, felt like it took even longer for them to bring me my beer. Then again, it was busy. Fries came out burnt, even smothering them in green chili didn't help. Green chili was good, chunks of tender pork. Burgers are always good. The Bad Daddy burger was huge, good luck trying to figure out a strategy on how to tackle it. I ended up just cutting it up and using a fork and knife. Buttermilk deep fried bacon was interestingly good, but felt so guilty eating it. 3.5 stars for the long wait for my beer and burnt fries.

Another great meal! Burgers done just right and the truffle fries rivaled Larkburger's! Try the Apricot Ale. Just sweet enough!

Bad Daddy's is fantastic. I have reviewed the location in Cherry Creek North, so I will not repeat how great the burgers are, and they are great. This location is new and fits the neighborhood perfectly. The beer selection is above average, the drinks are made well, the patio is awesome...etc. I usually get the steroid burger, but this time I decided to get a burger with pastrami. I love the combination, but I also wanted an egg on it. I received the burger with the egg on the side. I thought this was a bit odd, but I put it on the burger (more of a patty melt...but I digress), and it was amazing. That, with a side of coleslaw, and I was very satisfied. If you haven't been to a Bad Daddy's yet, get there. You can even build your own burger if you are a burger snob like I am, or build your own salad. Either way, the management will do everything to make sure you enjoy your visit.

Found this on Yelp and wanted to try it because it is Colorado and they have craft brews. Went on a Saturday evening and had to wait about 40 minutes. The only reason we did was because we were too lazy to find our cars and drive somewhere else. There are so many restaurants in the area! Guess we really wanted to try their beer? The host and table situation was confusing. There was no where we could just sit and have drinks. They included the bar tables on the wait list. There were tables outside but they said they weren't being serviced. They did have a great deal on their house beer. Our server, once we got one, was actually super sweet and made up for the wait. Nothing on the menu sounded amazing. We did end up just having drinks and leaving.

My boyfriend came in to try this place for his birthday. Burgers are his favorite so we wanted to try some where new. It was a fairly busy night so we chose to sit at the bar. I actually prefer the bar because a lot of times the service is better. Unfortunately, this was not the case this night. First, I ordered a glass of wine and a water, never got the water. Actually, I did get it after I asked for the fourth time. After trying to get the bartenders attention, she was too busy talking to her friends, we were finally able to order. I ordered my burger medium and he ordered medium well, both came out very well done and super dry. Didn't even have a chance to send it back or anything because the bartender never came back to ask how it was. By this time servers were trying to check out and the bartender was too busy trying to figure out how to get outside to smoke to even bring us a check. The service was horrible, the burgers were awful, very disappointed. I decided I would try and email the corporate office to let them know about my experience and they couldn't even get back to me. I guess this company doesn't care about their guests.

Love this restaurant! We eat here almost weekly. Everything we have had on the menu is great, and we have probably tried everything there. My usual is the bacon cheese burger on steroids with a badass margarita. The food is great, the drinks are great, the atmosphere and staff are great!!! The only bummer is that there is usually a decent wait for a table. Grab a drink and head for the patio!

This is my first stop here and is why I'm giving it a 4 star. Overall first impression is a thumbs up. Great ambiance and Gastro Pub feel, followed with a full menu of burgers to choose from. Whether you like your meats or not, they have it all. Best of all, if something does not peak your interest. "Simply build your own" I absolutely appreciated the great service. Mind you they have only been open 3 days, but my first impression was positive. The burgers are flavorful and from what I have seen, they take pride in the quality of every plate served. If it's not right or to your satisfaction, they will fix it. Trust me they will. A very professional staff to greet and serve you. A "must" try for your burger cravings. I am told...everything is made from scratch and fresh daily.

Have been here twice (lunch and dinner on weekdays) and both times the service was subpar. The burgers are very good, and the selection of gourmet toppings/variety is great; however, when the server cannot maintain keeping drinks replenished it's a red flag... We will go back as our sons really love the food, however it will not be somewhere that makes our frequently visited list.

Food is really good, honestly. However the service was horrible. For the first time we received a waitress that was straight up just a kid with attitude. Thanks for ruining a good night AND making it feel like it was my fault that you messed the order up. Last time going.

Bustling on a Sunday night, so chose the bar instead of the nearly hour long wait for a table. Busy beyond expectation, yet the bartenders were polite & promot. Great variety & selection of unique beers & liqour. Just ordered the All-American to share with homemade french fries, a little on the greasy, juicy side but that's just indicative of the great flavor not poor quality food. Amazingly tender & delicious. Can't wait to return and try more menu options and especially those fresh made shakes. A high end, upscale fat burger in my book.

The STRIP CLUB I bartend at has better service and cleaner tables. I'm usually one to yelp about good experiences, but I've had far better service at a Village Inn. My friends took me here for my birthday and we were very excited because everyone else recommended the burgers here. So we get seated by the kitchen, which is VERY LOUD. I spotted a few booths open and asked the hostess if we can have a booth before she left. She said she will look and came back saying they have to set it up first. So we patiently wait knowing that they are trying to accommodate to our request. When she seated us, the booth had no silverware (not a huge deal, she can get it later). BUT it was absolutely FILTHY. I literally wiped my finger on one of the many greasy spots of the table and looked at her thinking she would apologize and wipe the table again using the towel she had IN HER HAND. She smiled shyly and walked away (FYI owner that may or may not care, she has wavy, black, hair and wore it in a low side pony tail). Not only was the table dirty, the floor under the table, and around us had bits and pieces of paper towel and straw wrappers everywhere. THANKFULLY, our waitress was very kind and attentive. I was expecting her to be just as rude as the hostess and if she were, I honestly would've have ordered and walked out. For the manager again, her name started with a J and she seemed young and a little unexperienced (because she made a million trips and didn't know the menu). She made the experience jump from a 1 to a 5. I tipped her 50% hoping she doesn't have to share it. We ordered fried pickles as an appetizer, no complaints. The burgers are very good. They cooked it exactly how I wanted and I have no complaints about that either. Their bad daddy sauce is very good too. It's like a spicy good times sauce. We also ordered the banana pudding and unless you like a pound of whip cream, you'll be disappointed. There is a centimeter sized layer of banana pudding in between an inch of whip cream on top and an inch on the bottom with some Nilla wafers. Save your money on that one and stick to the burgers. SUMMARY: Sadly, I will not be coming back unless someone drags me here. The burgers are not good enough to completely compensate for the dirty restaurant and some of the careless staff. I bartend at one of the busiest strip clubs in Denver, it's much cleaner and our staff is more attentive. I mention this because strip clubs are supposed to be dirty!!! And being busy is not a good excuse. I would rather go across the street to Ted's or make the trip to Crave or Cherry Cricket for a gourmet burger. Also, they need to put a wall up between the kitchen and the wait station. It's too loud!

This was our first time in Colorado so we were looking for a place good place to eat after our flight. Yelp led us here based on the 4-star rating. We ordered: -Cue the chicken salad -Surfs up burger -Western burger -Side of sweet potato fries and tots -HH Daddy's D&S and Dragon cocktail Everything tasted great. We were completely satisfied with our meal. What stood out - Leo (manager?) provided us with top notch customer service. He wasn't even our server but took the lead to take our orders. He noticed that my burger didn't come out protein style as ordered, so he made sure to comp it. This is the kind of service that makes you become a repeat customer. Definitely come and check this place out!

Wasn't full or packed when I came and STILL took a long time to get my food. My waitress was awful. She was unprofessional and annoying. While waiting for my food, she assured me my food would finish soon. A few minutes later, she comes to tell me that my order didn't even print out and my food hasn't even been started with. FINALLY when I get my food, she came out with the check at the same time. Are you serious? And I'm not even joking or exaggerating, she came to our table almost every 3 to 5 minutes after that. Food was great though!

We checked in for a party of 11 and were quoted a 1 hour wait time. After 1.5 hours we were seated. I had to pull a waiter over after 10 minutes to put our drink order in. After the drink order, 15 minutes passed with no drinks. We asked the waitress about the wait for the drink and she said that there were 85 other people in the restaurant along with us! I went and spoke to the manager and the waitress had told him that I was yelling at them outside which was false. I do not doubt the food is amazing but did not get to try due to the unprofessionalism of the entire staff. I really hope something changes with the management! The management had no control of the restaurant and the help that was working.

The burgers are ok. Nothing special. They are almost too big with little flavor. The staff is not the greatest in the world. I like to create my own salad now instead of the burger. We come here as a last minute choice. Definitely not our first go to dinner spot.

  • Nikohl L.

We sat at the bar (next to the owner no less) and the service was terrible. I asked for a drink twice before we just decided to get the check. We ordered the pickles and they were shriveled and old. The owner sat there with two foot long hot dogs and a beer coughing on us. They are clueless but busy because it's new.

I have been here twice and keep hoping that I like it better since it is super close to my house. The burgers are just ok. I did like mine better the 2nd time as I created my own. Every pre-made burger I have tried (and I have now tried 4 of them) seems to have way too much going on. The chicken nachos are the best thing I have tried but I was really hoping to love the burgers. The meat is not very tender which is why I do not love this place. The fries and tots and sweet potato fries are good but not great. You need to go at 5 pm to get a table without a long wait.

Ordered Fried pickles-The best! Hubby ordered the "bad ass" burger... Fried bacon on top and it did not disappoint! Great salad options too, I decided to get the "build your own salad"! Super Yummy! Love that you can have tasters of their homemade brew. Picked the Apricot Blonde 20oz the perfect pair with fried pickles. Crystal was our server and she was AWESOME! Great service, Great Food!

Our family (7 of us) was there last night to celebrate my birthday. Yelp said that they take reservations but when we called they did not. We arrived at 8PM and waited over an hour. I understand this is a new place so they still are working things out, but I think they may need more staff. Our table was right in front of the kitchen which really was fine but it was so difficult to hear our conversations over the loud music. It seemed like we yelled at each other the whole time, which definitely added more noise as everyone in the place also was yelling over the music. We were there for quite awhile and as folks were leaving, noticed the music was turned down; much better. Our waiter was Tyler and he was wonderful. Would gladly have him wait on us again. We were lucky to sit by the kitchen so we could get him when we needed him but could definitely tell that he had a lot to handle by himself. We had all heard that it took a really long time to get our food so we made sure to order quickly. The wait wasn't too bad, but still somewhat long so we ordered the fried pickles, and then we ordered another order of them. They were quite good (happy hour prices too). We all thought the food was amazing overall. I loved my Pittsburgher Burger. It was very flavorful, but my tater tots were way overdone. One burger ordered medium was much too rare, but another pastrami burger was incredible and I will absolutely have that the next time I come. We had service with a smile the entire night and for my Birthday, received a complimentary peanut butter and chocolate shake which was one of the best I ever had; so smooth, creamy and delicious!! Will also have one when I return again. It was served by a manager who was also quite nice. Small issue with the bill, which was fixed immediately with an apology and a smile: charged for one extra drink. Overall, I did have a great time and everyone really enjoyed their meals. The decor is very nice with interesting things hanging all over the walls. The burger prices are a bit high with only plain sides, although my burger was very filling. I will be coming back for sure, and looking forward to rating them five stars. I think they can definitely do it!!!

Busy for a Monday night. Sat at the bar, the girls were very nice. Turkey burger and fries. Fries were soggy and limp and the burger was no wow. Not a lot of flavor. This is the second one of gone too. At least the are consistent.

This place is great. I had the "Bacon Cheese Burger on Steroids"--yes, that's the name of it. True to it's description on the menu it was an enormous burger, replete with Monterey Jack and a ton of high quality bacon, both applewood-smoked, and jalepeno bacon (which I've never had and truly kicks ass. The heat sneaks up on you in the most delightful way.) For the complementary side included, I chose tater tots. I'm always a fan of the tot. I was pleasantly surprised by them, both that they were steaming hot and perfectly fried, but also by the seasoning that was sprinkled on them. Some kind of season salt, I would guess, but not exactly the traditional flavor. It's a smidge pricey, but I guess you gotta pay for quality. I gotta give them a five.

Sooo good. The burgers and staff are both amazing. We came in on a weekend afternoon and waited about twenty minutes to be seated. Worth the wait for sure. Make sure you try their buttermilk fried bacon and their bad daddy sauce. It is a little more expensive than a Five Guys or a Smashburger but you get what you pay for in my opinion. Thinking about going back for dinner tonight.

Went to a soft opening at Southlands tonight, and they killed it! Great service, great sammies, and drinks! They offered a good variety of local brews. My first time trying Two Twenty Two Brewery offerings too! Nicely paired BDBB and TTTB! Emilio's Chicken sammie was on point! Nice stretchy goodness to the mozzarella! The chicken had a nice crunch, and was moist. I chose house chips as my side. Crunchy and fresh. Fried pickles were thin cut, and a little salty for my liking. Right next to the movie theater. Excited to go there this summer and hang out on their great patio(s). I wish them well in their grand opening this coming week!

Good burgers made to order. You get to choose all your toppings from lots of different options. The strawberry shake was not very good but everything else is great

Excellent burgers and very good service they are a bit on the pricey side but the quality is much better than most burger places you will eat at. They also have a very unique selection of toppings and selections to make your own burger.

Been here about four times - always good - had a salad yesterday and it was surprisingly small - thought I ordered the large? service has always been great though /

Went in for the Mock opening last night. FINALLY there is really good food in the area. With all of the commercialized food locations such as Chilis and Teds, this is a preferable alternative. The food is traditional but with a twist. Everything we got was fresh and full of flavor. Can't wait for the grand opening! You must try everything on the menu at some point. You won't be disappointed.

This place is on point! The set up is really cool. TVs everywhere and the bar is awesome. Their wings are made with Franks Redhot and were some of the better Franks wings I have tried. The fries are good too. They have a pretty cool beer selection. And their burger selection is a lot like the Cherry Cricket......which is awesome!!!!! Will be coming back.

The best tasting turkey burger I've had. It was moist tender and properly cooked. The price is great and will not break your wallet.

Was very unhappy when we went here the girl at the door when we asked if we could be seated outside whispered to another server and said no sorry other people requested it my burger was red I ordered well down and really don't think it was that hot I don't believe we will be visiting this establishment again

Excellent burgers!! This is a "must come back more often" restaurant. Food was great, cooked perfectly, fresh, locally sourced and so filling. You won't walk away hungry. Try their grilled pickles or their homemade chips...or if you like local micro brews stop by and give those a try.

I was so impressed by my experience here I had to write a review. Not only did I have one of the best burgers I've probably ever had, the service here was spot on. Our waitress Brianne did not only go out of her way to make sure she delivered impeccable service but she was also so genuine about it. I eat out a lot and she is the BEST waitress I've had in years. To start, I couldn't really decide which beer I wanted to order and she gave me thorough details about the ones I thought were interesting and also brought me some 1oz tasters to try before I picked. She gave us a great/detailed rundown of the menu pointing out her favorite and the most popular dishes. Throughout our time there she was very attentive and we never had to flag her down or ask for anything before she offered. The whole restaurant seemed to run smoothly and it also has a great atmosphere. I hope this review gives my experience justice, we will definitely be back and probably ask to sit in Brianne's section again!

While the concept of building your own burger or salad is great, it certainly isn't worth the price. For $16 bucks I got a burger with cheese, guacamole and the standard lettuce, pickle and tomato on the side. The burger is a bit greasy as they do a beef blend and the toppings are minimal. Bar choices are very limited (emphasis on very). On a Saturday night, expect a loud environ, poor and somewhat non existent service and table wait times of 40min (for 4 people even). They do not take reservations or have call ahead seating nor is there open bar seating. I hope this place will improve where they lack as it would be nice to see a business stick around in this mall.

Bad ass burger was baddass. Deep fried bacon wa a little over the top. Had to remove a couple pieces before smashing it down to fit my mouth around it. Fries tasted good but soggy, I would recommend tator tots or the homemade chips. Will definitely be back to try the "build your own burger".

When I came in it wasn't so packed, there were hardly any people. But the atmosphere was pretty chill and relaxing. But I had such a horrible waiter and food came out so late.. But other then that the food was decent.

Burgers are way to thick, always a wait and cramped waiting area. Not a great atmosphere for children. And not worth the money. This place is way over priced for what you receive. They have better burgers at mcdonalds. The only thing that's pretty good about this place is there strawberry lemonade and fried pickles. Overall not good.

Great burgers! Had a little temp misunderstanding and they made it right! Elisa and John the greeter and Jay the manager were all excellent! I have a craving every now and again for "a big ole nasty burger". By nasty I mean like you need 4 napkins to eat it! The big ass burger fit the bill and my hubby had the patty melt... Nummy! Definitely going after a movie at the Southlands theatre!

    (5)
  • Jessica V.

We've come in quite a few times and found to enjoy ourselves the most at the bar. Simka always takes great care of us and recommends the best beer to go with our entrees. The food and atmosphere is great! We live across the street, this is our NEW favorite go to spot!

1st time at this restaurant. Nice atmosphere, pleasant server, delicious burgers. We had a chicken club burger and a build your own burger. The Chicken club burger was built like a club sandwich; with American & Swiss cheeses, rosemary ham, crispy peppery bacon slices, pickles, lettuce & tomato. I elected to not have mayo. The burger was quite tasty. It comes with a choice of sides; so I picked the fresh cut fries. Yum! The build your own burger consisted of a chicken pattie, Swiss cheese, crispy pepper bacon and grilled apple slices. I tried a bite and it was surprisingly good. Apples, bacon, and swiss cheese....what's not to like? This burger came with a side of really good tater tots. There are other restaurants here in the Southlands Mall area but you can find them at other places too. I'd rather eat here. Definitely going back again. Oh, they have happy hour too! Give them a try.

Got off the plane in Denver, CO. Just a few lost souls searching for good food (starving!) couldn't be more happy than to have found bad daddy's burgers!!! Excellent food (create your own salad and get the avocado ranch!!). Sat in the bar, long wait for a regular table, always a good sign but we were hungry! Felicia and Ashley were attentive and helpful in making choices. Thank you!!! Come to So Cal Bad Daddy's!!!

My son and daughter in law , who live in Aurora were excited to take us out to lunch at Bad Daddy's on Sunday September 6th. We were a group of 8 people which included a baby and a 7 year old child. We waited to eat until the lunch crowd had subsided but when we got to the restaurant, the girls who were seating people didn't want to deal with a baby evidently and told us that we had to wait another hour to get seated. There were many tables that were available at the time, and could accommodate us, including tables on the patio. Because we had hungry children with us, we chose not to wait, as it was obvious to us that the girls didn't want to have that large a group to seat. We found another restaurant close by that were very welcoming and accommodated us quickly. We will not be dining with your establishment any time soon and we will not be recommending it because of poor customer service.

We arrived at this restaurant on a busy Saturday night after a movie. We were given a pager and told the wait would be 30-35 minutes. We were seated after a short 15 minutes. My dining partner ordered a burger and fries. They came at the perfect temperature with good seasoning. I ordered a patty melt well done. It arrived very rare. I asked for a new one. It was reordered but came so late we just packaged it to go and asked for our check. It was the manager that finally came with the food and the bill. The patty melt was voided from the check but other than the waiter saying sorry, no apology was offered. In my opinion, the manager should have come to the table as soon as the meal was sent back then returned back to the table after the replacement meal was served. I might try this again when I'm in the area but I won't make a special trip.

The only problem with this restaurant is how long you will wait in line to get a table...the food is so good that there is nearly always a crowd out the front door. All of the burgers are crafted with care and attention to flavorful combinations. The tater-tots are a must try - simply amazing!

05/25/15 When I sat at the bar around 12:30 for some lunch I was greeted by both bartenders, Ashely and another bartender, sorry can't remember her name, African American girl. I ordered a Bad Daddy's Ale. The Rockies-Reds game was on. I finished my beer. The empty glass sat in front of me for an inning and a half with neither one asking if I'd like another. I then pushed the empty glass in front of me towards the bar. Another inning went by and I was finally asked if I'd like another beer. There was just me and a couple at the bar. Ashely came out from behind the bar to wipe it down walking right past me and never asking if I'd like another. I didn't push it just wanted to see how much longer it would take to be recognized. I wasn't ready to order my lunch but I felt I'd better not knowing when I would be asked. Being in the Hospitality Industry, I felt that this was a very Poor way to introduce yourself to the area.

This was our third visit to Bad Daddy's. We love it. This is the first time they messed up our orders. But, they were quick to remedy them. They fixed the two burgers that were wrong; they comped our appetizer, comped two of our meals, and they offered free shakes to our kids. They ended up taking off over $50 from our ticket. We will definitely be back here. They may have messed up, but their customer service is top notch. Thank you Bad Daddys'! See you next time!

I was excited to try this place but will probably never go back. I wasn't greeted by any of the four hostesses when I walked in and waited for a few minutes. So I just made my way to the bar for food..I sat there for at least 5 minutes with no greeting .I finally just left through the exit door without being acknowledged by anybody in the restaurant for about 10 minutes. Not impressed.

This was our second visit here. The first time was a 5 in my book. I had the most amazing buffalo burger that was perfectly cooked and seasoned! Honestly this time wasn't a hit out of the park because the burgers came out a bit overcooked and took a long time to get to us. They still get four stars for this visit because I think that a good restaurant is one where management takes your complaint seriously and makes it right. Everyone has an off night due to staffing, etc but do they take care of the issues??? That was definitely our experience and we will be back. I ended up with a great burger and the fried pickles are amazing! We were also there at around the same time as another poor review on this site. They stated it was cold on the patio and the waitress said "awwww". We had the same complaint and the patio heaters were turned on within minutes. No issue! Give it a try. Working out the bugs but management is getting it right by taking care of customers and they some great burger (and salad!) options.

We love this Bad Daddy's!! The wings and burgers are the best in the area. And the margaritas are just amazing...So amazing that the limit is 2 but we always want more! Happy hour food and drink specials are wonderful. Look for Chris, Ainsley, Eric, and the manager Jay. Great service, great atmosphere. We love Bad Daddy's

I gotta say I really LOVED my burger!!! The overall experience was good! The hostesses at the front podium were horrible! They were constantly rolling their eyes as customers, managers and servers walked away. They were extremely rude girls. We asked if the entire bar area was open seating (as I pointed to a specific table) and we were told yes. I thought we scored! We get to the table and one of those ever so friendly hostesses came over with a couple and said Im seating them here as of course, she rolled her eyes. No problem, we headed back up front to put our name back on the list. A few minutes later, our name was called and we were seated at a table. 2 Minutes later, we were asked to move because they were seating a bigger party there. Anyway, once we got past the brats at the front (who should not be the 1st point of contact), the experience was awesome! Our waitress whose name I wish I could remember was great! She was young yet very knowledgeable and offered several options! And the burgers, to die for. One of the best burgers Ive had in a very long time! We will definitely be back despite the hostesses. If not for them, this place would definitely deserve 10 stars (if possible). One thing i would say is they need FRESH jalapenos!!

Long wait but it was worth it. Fried pickles were delicious, as was the Sam I Am Burger. So much so that my wife and I didn't even realize it was missing the fried egg until we were almost done and a manager brought it out apologetically. He offered to comp our dessert or buy is a round of drinks without hesitation(or us even knowing there was a problem!). All food arrived much faster than expected and the quality and taste was excellent. Outstanding service by the staff, and equally delicious food earns all 5 stars. We will definitely be back.

  • Haroon M.

The food was good. Not going to lie. Fries were thin cut and fresh. The patty was juicy. It was a little on the small side. I feel like for what I paid I should have gotten a lot more. Was the food good? Yep. Was it worth the price? No. Extras for condiments. Really? Like I said, I wouldn't have minded it if the portion size or patty was bigger. All in all, not bad... Just, meh.

By far the best bar experience I've had in a long time! The atmosphere was fun and the servers were friendly! This is the second Bad Daddy's I've been to and it's by far the best! When you come in please ask Felicia or Simka to make you a Bad Betty or a Hospitality bc they both are unique and wonderful :) It just opened and it already feels like they've all been there for a while. Way to go everyone!

Wow!! That's all I can say! Chicken burger (built my own) and cantina black bean burger were amazing. Fries great, fry sauce, heaven. Drinks fun and effective. Banana puddin' out of this world delish. Prepare to have your mind blown!! Simka at the bar was awesome, friendly and attentive! We loved every moment, and will be back often. Also love the gluten free and lighter options! Not your typical burger bar, million times better.

I've had a major burger craving lately and decided tonight I'm going to make these cravings go away! I work in the southlands area and I've heard nothing but good things about Bad Daddy's Burgers. We went in at 8pm after work and got seated right away. I've heard people waited more than 30 min for a table so 8 is a really good time to go. We did have to wait a while for the waitress to come by. I was going to give the place one less star but the waitress finally came and made up for it. She was extremely nice and filled our waters without having to be asked, which is a big deal to me for some reason. Our food came out promptly and was pretty delicious. It definitely curbed my burger craving so now I won't have to dream and think about them for a while. We got the Pittsburger Burger with the thin fries to share and a Bad Daddy's Nachos. The burger was good. The nachos were good too but eventually the chips got soggy which kinda ruined it for me. All in all, pretty good place if you have a serious burger craving!

    (4)
  • Tim T.

Food was great - everyone at our table agreed that our burgers were some of the best we've had at ANY restaurant. Can't give it 5 stars though due to the noise as well as long wait times without the option of reservations or at least call ahead seating...we will be back as the food was worth the wait!

A friend recommended big daddy's to my husband. We drove 10 miles to get there. We were expecting good food and service. We were sitting at a table behind a metal grate, cramped between the hostess and the servers area. We requested another table. I ordered a burger. It arrived with no cheese and mayonnaise. I noticed the cheese first, they added the cheese, I took à bite and the burger had no mayonnaise. The waitress brought me a cup of mayonnaise. My husband and I ordered salads both had no croutons that we had ordered. Salad were drenched with dressing. My husband ordered a beer Ipa, he never received it. Basically bad service.on every item. The burgers were ok, over priced.

Awful! Terrible food, terrible service, and just a miserable experience all together. We were freezing because they seated us outside. I told the waitress we were cold and she just said "awwwwww". Then most of the food was burned and overcooked. Drinks were terrible. Not going back to this location.

  • Alyssa S.

I want to give this place 5 stars and hopefully will be able to soon. The burger and turkey burger with apples and Brie we ordered were great, but my biggest complaint was that anything fried (fries, tater tots, fried pickles) was unreal salty. I love salt and usually get made fun of for how much I use, but I couldn't even eat these things. I'm hoping it was just a heavy handed line cook, but we shall see. The service was decent, but you could tell they were kinda in learning mode at the bar because things took a while. We did appreciate that our bartender remembered our names, that was a refreshing change. We will definitely be back because this place has so much potential!

Long wait. Several tables say open for 15min with a long line. All 3 hostess stood there doing nothing. Server got drinks wrong and never showed back up. Up all night throwing up the burger and I never get sick Has potential but food was not very good and service sucked.

Awesome food that had just the right spice, the bacon was some of the best I have ever had on a cheeseburger. Great Vibe even for an early lunch hour. Quick and friendly service out food came out withubg 5-10 minutes of ordering. Love it and will be going back plenty of times.

Just got home from eating here with my husband and my son. We ordered a slider off of the kid's menu, my husband got the Surf's up Tuna burger and I got the Pittsburgh burger. Anthony was our server. He was awesome. Very attentive (without being too attentive). I asked for a drink suggestion. He suggested the Moonshine Blackberry Lemonade. My husband took his advice. I did not, I got a blood orange marg. I should have listened to Anthony. The Moonshine was DELICIOUS. He suggested that my husband get the tuna rare or med rare. He got it rare and said it was really good. My burger was very delicious! I was pleased that my son's burger was one slider - a perfect size for a child. Plus, we could add a small sundae for $0.50. The food was really good as well. It's nice to see a variety in a burger. We will definitely come back. Between the food and the service, it was a very nice evening.

We went on opening night and the service was as good as the food! Great atmosphere. You WILL NOT leave this place hungry, I'm still in a food coma as I write this! There were 3 of us, wait for a table was about 30 minutes ( not bad for opening night), we ordered Fried Pickles, Bad Ass Burger, Bacon Burger on Steroids and the Pastrami Burger! We will definitely be back!

We chose to try out Bad Daddys on a Friday for lunch. We were one of the first ones in, and we were seated immediately. The only complaint I have is that we were seated right by the main entrance where the door is always opening, and people are walking by, and as soon as it got busy and people were waiting up front, it was loud. The whole place was empty when we showed up, so we probably should have sat somewhere else. We took along a baby that I watch, and he had a blast. The waitress' were interacting with him and having fun. We brought his food with him so he didn't eat. The atmosphere was fun for him though! The food, was AMAZING. I had a Pastrami Rueben and it did not disappoint. They also have the build your own option, which actually seemed fun! Also, try the home made potato chips! They are GREAT!

  • Lindsey S.

We went her yesterday as a family outing. The Bloody Mary's are amazing, but that is about all. We tried 3 different burgers ( all decent) but to be honest, they are way over priced for their food. The wait time was 20 minutes, there is not enough seating and they refused to serve on the patio even though it was 73 degrees outside. Inside was like a popsicle. The burgers are so big that you can not take a bite of it so you have to break it down to eat it. What is the point then? Very nice staff, great atmosphere, but cramped waiting area and long waits at the bar and to be seated.

After my 2nd time here I fell that Bad Daddys deserves a solid 3. Both to times thebfood has been great, the build your burger thing is awesome, tons of options, great ingredients and one of the best black bean burgers I've ever had. Unfortunately, both times we've been here our orders have been wildly incorrect. The servers just kinda dropped them off and sauntered away. Not like little little inaccuracies, more like we got entirely wrong (and most likely someone elses) orders. Once our waitress came back around they were very quick to fix it, but it's annoying that we've had this twice in a row now . Overall I think it's still worth a try though .

I went on a snowy workday after the lunch hour, so it wasn't crowded. Friendly staff. I had the bacon burger with build your own salad as a side that comes with the burger. I like the build your own burger/salad concept in this place. The burger was cooked to order, seasoned just right and it was very good.

We waited 30 minutes for a table (there were two of us, plus a high chair for our toddler), and when they sat us, they put us at a booth for 6... We noticed every large booth was sat with only 2 people. The restaurant is small, so we were happy to have a table, but with three hostesses on at a late lunch (3pm), we felt like their seating could have been a little more efficient. Anyway, we ordered a burger to share since we really weren't starving, but we had read such great reviews, we thought we should check this new place out. We noticed people who were seated at tables after us were getting their burgers before us, which was strange. The burger was ok. The tater tots were a generous serving, but WAY too greasy. We ordered our son a grilled cheese and a side of fruit. The fruit was fresh and delicious, but the grilled cheese was very hard. We may give this place another try, but felt the burgers were overpriced...and if you build your own, it can get quite costly with even a few add-Ons (that are normally free at other places). The service was slow, and you could tell our waitress was just ready to end her shift already. Overall, we've had better burgers for less cost, and much better service. We were disappointed after reading all the great reviews, and just wondered if it was an "off day"... So like I said, we may give it another try one day.

First things first: holy salted food straight from hades. However, the manager (I think his name is Leo) was so great about it. We ordered the truffle fries and pickle chips along a child's meal that consisted of a slider and fresh fruit. Fruit was definitely fresh and lovely! Slider was good also. On to the apps... So much salt it was unbearable. The manager remade then himself and they tasted so much better! He told us exactly what he did to fix it and I wish that's just how they made them. Plus he comped us the apps and our beers....customer service gets 5 stars! The wait sucked. It took 25 min for a table and then forever for our food. I wouldn't say it was worth the wait for the burger (we spilt a big daddy and the deep fried bacon was way too much but the burger itself was pretty good. Cooked as ordered and tasty). The sweet potato fries... Oh my!!!!! Definitely get those. Yum yum! Waitress was super polite but was pretty busy so we had to wait forever for anything and the manager basically took care of us (again he totes rocked). I'm not in any hurry to go back but it was just ok and wouldn't be opposed if a friend had to try it.

Great place, I had the Pittsburgher burger which was a little spicy, really delicious. Also had the house amber ale, very good brown beer, really smooth. Service was great, but they were slow too.

The restaurant is pretty cool (very 80s), like it would be a cool bar to hit before the theater. But it is a burger place, and the burgers aren't super. They're not bad, just not great. Some of that may be factoring in the price, they are expensive. Now that there's a five guys in Southland, I don't think I'll be back very often.

Love going here, the food is probably the best I've had in a long time. It is in a convenient place, and the staff and management are awesome. I don't know her name but the women manager or owner is hilarious and super kind. Great place and great food.

Had the pleasure of attending VIP night at Bad Daddy's Southlands location last night and it was beyond expectations! The burger selections were creative. We started with an appetizer of backyard nachos..the chips were very good, pineapple was a great addition to the standard nachos. I ordered a Pittsburgher Burger which was 7 oz's of lean tasty beef, american cheese, and shoestring fries smashed between a grilled buttery bun! My side was a generous portion of seasoned sweet potato fries and actually very good. Servers were attentive even with a packed restaurant. Bathroom was clean and maintained even under the high traffic conditions during the evenings event. TV's suspended above the dining room with sporting events being broadcast. Interior resembled a roadhouse that met with industrial design elements. Great signs and memorabilia on the walls which were fun to look at while waiting for our meal. The location being next to the theaters at the mall, is ideal. Perfect place to grab a bite after or before a movie. Parking was easy. Looking forward to a return visit!
