Wow what a great meal. All you have to do is ask for Amber as your server. Very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us the best choices for what we asked for. Thank You!!!

Nino's (Alamosa) is our "go to" restaurant in the summer because of it's charming patio. Nino's has earned 5 stars because they have added Mexican music to the patio and have recently upped their game as far as their food and service is concerned! We love their Machaca Nachos...and along with a cold beer...or two...it's plenty for two...and they are generous with the delicious guacamole and sour cream on top...which we appreciate! Tips I would offer is their chile relleno is crunchy not fluffy...and you can choose how hot you want the sauce on your meal to be...their green is delicious...the red is my favorite. Their warm crispy chips and yummy salsa is a great way to begin...and save room for the sopapillas! Don't let the outside fool you...go inside...head to the patio and have an authentic mexican meal experience! =)

Thank you Nino's for your great food and great service. You have the best pork green chile in all of Alamosa. I had the taco salad with steak it had more steak then lettuce it was ciover in the green chile. I had to ask for more lettuce. The steak fajitias were pipping hot and delicious. The fried ice cream was wonderful and huge.

Was seated. Waited 20 minutes for a waitress. Gave order. Waited another 15-20 minutes for food. Food was above average. Service was lacking. It appeared all waitresses were overwhelmed. Could not keep up. Have had poor service before but their cook does an outstanding job. Also, prices were up 25%.

This place once had decent food. Now: 1 hour wait to get food, food was cold-kids plates were sitting on expediting table for 20 minutes, and the food was just unbecoming of ninos in the past. To add insult to injury, we were charged a fifteen percent gratuity.

Very disappointing experience. The restaurant was only semi-clean with a weird smell inside. We were hungry so we stayed. Service was terrible. The waitress literally turned away while my girlfriend was ordering to talk to someone else. After we ordered, we waited 30 minutes for our food before giving up and leaving. As we walked out, the waitress ran into the kitchen and reappeared with our food. Ridiculous. When we left anyhow, the guy behind the register was threatening and rude.

Really one of the best tamales i have ever eaten. Melt in your mouth. Very good, authentic, "somebody's gradma's recipes" mexican food. If you pass the door entrance challenge, you will be happy you did. Also, someone commented on margarita size, mine came in a beer challis, plenty O margarita for me.

We were craving Mexican food on our cross country trip, and a billboard led us to this place. The restaurant is evidently a repurposed building with an odd layout. Just try to find the men's room without help! My favorite part of the meal was the chips and picante sauce. Very tasty and favorable. I wasn't as happy with my beef enchiladas, which were swimming in an over abundance of green chili sauce. My wife had their namesake combo plate and liked it alright, although the up charge for the sour cream was a surprise. Considering the cost ($25 for meals, drinks, tax&tip) and location, the stop was worthwhile and we would go again should the opportunity arise.

First off, this place is hard to find the entrance to. Went around back and it was a patio with no one there. Went out front and it said "Use Other Door." Well the next door over was a real estate place, so I was thoroughly confused. Turns out you have to walk in through the real estate door and you'll find yourself in Nino's. The food here was ok, not very memorable. I got the chimichanga and a margarita. The margarita was a huge glass for $7.50, but unfortunately I think the margarita at Calvillos was better ($5.50 for the first one and half off the rest). The food was ok. Nothing too memorable. I probably would not return b/c for another $3, I could have a buffet at Calvillos.

I was looking for good Mexican and was pretty disappointed. The salsa wasn't like any I have seen before. It was pureed. Tasted like it came from a can. We ordered the beef chimichanga entree. Sour cream was $1.50 extra and guacamole was $2 extra per entree. That's $7 for condiments. The chimichangas had very little meat. The amount of rice they give you as a side was minuscule. The refried beans had the consistency of soup. Service not only sucked but we had 3 people waiting on us from the time we walked in. The waitress should find another line of work. I like a good hole in the wall with good food but this place has nothing going for it. Should have gone to Chili's!
